Route to Eutopia - New WIP IF
DEMO(28K) I CHARACTER DOSSIERS I PLAYLIST (TBA)
You have one year left to live.
But are you afraid of dying? Probably not. Since you don’t even know how to live your life. You have been hidden away from public eye since young. And the only friend you have is an Alter, humanoid species born to only serve other people and nothing else. Alters live so ‘people like you’ could live.
That makes the two of you. Alive. But never here. Never lived.
If opportunities arise, would you take a chance to change it? Only you can answer.
In a world where feeling nothing at all is better than letting your emotions rule over you, your choice to break those rules and make a change will paint a new shade of history that no one ever could.
Hidden behind shut doors to live your quiet life as a secret child of Bastien Palmer, Sole Leader of Eutopia paradise, you never experience anything except for repeating the same old routine your entire life. You are the existence which should not be known, not just for the reason that you are the byproduct of your father and his secret lover. But also because of your frightening ‘Alter-like’ eye color, most of it is silver like any Stargaze–but nevertheless… tinted shamefully by crimson streaks.
You are told to stay away from public eyes for the sake of Palmer’s reputation in which you feel obliged to. However, your life of peaceful solitude will never be the same again after tonight…
Route to Eutopia is a violent dystopian loosely-conceptual interactive story where you are a bystander surrounded by The Chosen One of your own choice. You are to designate whether this story will head towards the direction of mutual peace between Alters– a human-like species believed to be plagued by uncured disease since birth– and Stargazers —a group of survivors whose ancestors once lived on a faraway planet before an inevitable disaster occurred and forced them to flee into another dimension, or towards a doom fate that cannot be reversible.
To be noted; RtE is a heavily-relationship based game (not necessarily in platonic/romantic sense) each of your interactions with any character will determine the tone and purpose of their motivation. Any choice you have chosen, make sure to embrace the consequences of your action at your own expense.
With that being said, it is also worth mentioning that you don’t need to engage into a romance or specific relationship with any character to complete the story.
RtE also rated 18+ for strong language, suggestive contents, disturbing topics such as racism, sexism, discrimination against queer people, explicit descriptions of violence, murders, drug use and sexual behaviors of certain characters with optional intercourse scenes.
Setting
RtE takes place in a post-apocalypse society where the concept of time is lost and any history known was only speculations at best and rumour at worst. Trying to maintain their sense of utopia, Stargazers built and operated their space colony as a temporary base for self-preservation (in which only fews know details about) called ‘Eutopia’.
In this dystopian paradise people’s sole purpose of living was fixated on surviving. And in order to do that, the whole population creates a solid ground rule not to let themselves ‘feel’ about other emotions that do not serve for public favors. Hence, you will be challenged to adapt to several situations and handpick the best flavor of your actions based on the emotions you have learnt or developed from your surroundings.
Who do you play as?
For now, you will be playing as a secret child of Bastien Palmer, the leader of Stargazers who already has a wife and two other perfect children, your younger sister and brother. Ones you have never interacted with nor you ever get the chance to.
MCs subjectively considered a white sheet which you can paint anything on by your preferences. Explore the world full of colorful emotions or bottomless pit of numbness by your own choices.
But remember, Eutopia is a place where everything goes according to one simple rule ‘To survive’ hence the marriage between a man and woman will be set as the norm and only truth, and someone who will state otherwise must face and suffer the ugliness of social standards accordingly. However, I do not encourage any transphobic/homophobic behavior of the characters in this story. Please kindly be assured of that.
There might be a chance where you can start off as other characters, that is, however, still a subject-to-change matter as of now.
Introduction to the Chosen Ones [ ROs]
**Please be aware of mild spoilers below**
Vegaris (M/F) 19 Star-crossed lovers or Nemesis route, The Rebel.
They would do anything to survive, even if it means to betray the only person who trusts them deeply… like you.
Vegaris is an Alter who has so many sides hidden behind closed doors. Unpredictable, cunning, hot and cold are the words that describe them best. Due to their traumatic childhood (much like other Alters on Eutopia), they have a deep-root hatred for Stargazers. Although they were brought in by your family and treated almost the same as one of your father’s own kids. They still witness the unfairness of being an Alter in society and never afraid to point the wrong in other people’s doings.
Their usual mask, however, is one where you cannot crack open that easily. They always remain calm and composed in front of you, and only show their fangs when circumstances arise.
Dana/Darren Regency (M/F) 22 Childhood friends, Forbidden route, The Face.
For a person who seems to be easy to read as much as an open-book, they sure talk with silence better than with their own voice.
A poster girl/boy for Regency Academy. Your former childhood friend (for some unknown reason, they're trying their hardest to avoid you) and an only child to the Head of Deans at Regency, Sandalphon. They are the precise image of how one should raise a Stargazer. Being a honor student. A model citizen. And a perfect ideal partner. They are assigned to be married with the most capable genetic-wise fiancé. As popular as they appear to be to the public, their private life (as private as it can be) is still a gigantic loophole for most imprudent reporters trying to catch even just a glimpse.
It seems like what they are trying to avoid is not just you, but the entirety of Eutopia.
Sandalphon Regency (M/F) 40 Age-difference, Single-parent route, The Pacifist.
Do you believe in something just because it's true, or it becomes the truth only when you believe in it?
Sandalphon is the most powerful influence among the deans of Regency. A group of people that has control over governing matters even beyond that of Bastien Palmer, the President. For Sandal, they are anything and everything people could ever ask for in a Regency. Kind, generous, well-versed with every branch of knowledge in the universe. Never wrong in anything. And never judge anyone based on their bias.
If only people knew the truth, they’d probably beg to differ.
Maybe they are just good at hiding beneath that gentle facade, maybe a calculated mind with strings to pull works best with neutral suggestions... who knows?
One more hidden character will be revealed in the demo, Into the Madness route, The Savior.
[ Classified info. ]
**There will be two sub ROs and flings to be introduced later in the story.**
More info will be announced.
Demo 1st update : 24/01/2024 Chapter 1 (28k codes excluded)
Datalog is completed roughly til the end of the story. Coding and polishing will certainly take time. Any more updates will be announced solely on this blog.
Reblogging is appreciated. Thank you!

The theory behind the mechasms explained.
‼️ SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 ‼️
LEAVE AT THE WARNING IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN EPISODES 9 AND 10.
.
.
.
.
.
.
This theory begins with Qilby.
Because of his story, we were able to learn that Lokus is in fact a mechasm.
As soon as he gains the eliatrope dofus, he decides to bail the group to observe Lokus. He talks to Shinonome and tells her that they should decide to make a new Eliacube by calling this one “Eliasphere”.
We learn through this interaction that Orgonax, the first mechasm mentioned by Qilby in Season 2, was not only the youngest but he was also the one whose heart wasn’t fully developed like the others.
This is why the Eliacube was in the shape of a cube rather than a sphere like his other counterparts. It wasn’t at its full power. So the Eliasphere, compared to the Eliacube, is much stronger.
We have to remember that Qilby’s story in Season 2 was filled with lies and deception which means it’s up to us to fill in the blanks.
Here is what I proposed truly happened :
Many eons ago, Qilby was a part of the Eliatrope council but grew incredibly tired and numb to the cycle he and his siblings kept going through. Every single one of his lives felt empty and unoriginal which made him become quite nihilistic about life. He just wished there was something, anything new to discover on this boring planet he calls home. As if the krosmoz listened to his wish, there came another race on the eliatropes’ planet. They were named the mechasms and were a mechanical race that travelled around the krosmoz.
For the first time since his first life, Qilby felt curious and amazed again. He wanted to learn everything about these mechasms, what they are, and how they are. When no one was looking, he sneaked around Orgonax, the youngest of them, and decided to extract his heart to study it. At that moment, he learned that the mechasms were able to live without their hearts since they were only used as power sources for them. Orgonax had his heart stolen and knew who the culprit was. He warned the other mechasms and the war between the eliatropes started. Since the mechasms weren’t a race capable of speaking directly like the eliatropes, the eliatropes weren’t able to understand why the mechasms attacked them and that Qilby had been the one to start the war.
The eliatropes had to leave their planet to find a new one and to distance themselves from the mechasms. Qilby proposes that they use a new invention he made called the Eliacube to leave the planet much more quickly. The council accepts the idea, given how they have no other choices in mind, and leave the planet with their people. While the journey was a long one, Qilby was enjoying himself and looked full of life again. He loved the fact that he could once again experience the unknown and study new species he gets to receive from Yugo and Adamaï on the planets they keep coming to. He had also been using this time to properly get to learn more about the Eliacube.
It took years to find what the eliatropes were looking for until they finally found a planet filled with wakfu which was later going to be called the World of Twelve.
The eliatropes were having fun again and took it easy. For once, Qilby was not pleased by this discovery. He did not want to be cooped up on a planet again when he had just been having fun. That’s why he decided to bring Orgonax by alerting his location through the Eliacube. Orgonax came much more quickly. And with the other mechasms, they destroyed the planet that the eliatropes have taken refuge in, making Yugo learn that Qilby was the one who alerted Orgonax so he fights him and throws him in the White Dimension.
Since Qilby had used the youngest mechasm’s heart at the time, he must’ve wondered what would happen if he went for a full-powered mechasm instead.
When Qilby listens to his curiosity once more, he attempts to touch Lokus’ heart but that’s when we see a series of events flashing through Qilby’s mind.
At first glance, even when we pause frame by frame, we do not understand what we’re looking at. But some people were able to piece things out.
What you’re seeing, is in actuality the council of the seven mechasms.
(if you start on the left side, you can see Lokus in the first place and then Orgonax in the third)
These flashes where they’re seen in the world have been theorized by some people to be flashbacks of what was once the second great Eliatrope war when the eliatropes have been found once again by the mechasms and destroyed the planet that will become the World of Twelve.
Either that, or these flashing scenes represent the total opposite: they’re all future reveals which would mean the mechasms would be partially the ones responsible for ruining the world. It’s clear to see that the mechasms haven’t been fully wiped out. Lokus is a reminder of that. They seem to now be watchers of the krosmoz which is why they’re only standing around not specifically doing anything unless they are forced to react.
So what are the mechasms supposed to be?
They are a sentient mechanical race who might have a council leading on top just like the Eliatropes.
The Mechasms are travellers and watchers of the krosmoz. They are usually pacifiers when they feel the need to be. They do not specifically interact through speech and can live without their hearts but they choose to keep it at all times since it harbours extreme power energy. Just the youngest heart alone was able to create a whole dimension.
Even the dofus, which can make an individual more powerful than the gods, cannot beat them. It takes a certain person to be able to be worthy of a mechasm’s heart. No one knows why that is a thing they do but they can choose someone no matter who they are.
[Note]: Also if you’re wondering where the Eliacube went after Oropo’s dimension, a tweet from Tot answering a user, said that the Eliacube is somewhere in the World of Twelve.
User: “The Eliacube came back in the World of Twelve just like the six eliatrope dofus. Knowing where it is and who has it is the real question.”
Tot: “The dofus and the Eliacube cannot be destroyed…The dofus always come back to their original locations… As for the Eliacube, that’s another story. But it is somewhere.”

The Expanded Pantheon of Discord!
So I'm a massive Doctor Who fan and I've been watching the new series. Gotta admit, it's been a weird run but I enjoyed it overall. During "The Legend of Ruby Sunday", we got the confirmation that The Toymaker's Pantheon is the same as The Pantheon of Discord that The Trickster belongs to.
We also got a list of other deities in The Pantheon and that got me thinking of other Whoniverse villains who could fit into The Pantheon along with a couple of OCs. So sit back and enjoy, my version of The Pantheon of Discord!
_____________________________________
The Toymaker: The God of Games- A canon member of The Pantheon from the main show. The master of games and Lord of Play, a crazy madman obsessed with his games and an opponent to The First, Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctors
Hecuba: The Goddess of Fate- A canon member of The Pantheon from an audio story called The Queen of Time. She's the sister of The Toymaker and aunt to Maestro. She's capable of trapping The TARDIS and is the mistress of her own pocket dimension. I feel like Goddess of Fate works for her
Trickster: The God of Traps- A canon member of The Pantheon and the first one to officially be called part of The Pantheon of Discord back in the Sarah Jane Adventures episode The Wedding of Sarah Jane Part 2. He creates chaos by making deals with people close to death, changing timelines and the resulting chaos feeds him, this chaos is typically world ending in some way. Each of his deals is a trap, as to undo his actions the person who made the deal has to take their agreement back and die.
Maestro: The God of Music- A canon member of The Pantheon, parent of The Harbinger and the child of The Toymaker. Their goal is to keep their dominion over music and lock it away inside of them, depriving humanity of one of our most precious sources of comfort, empathy and expression. A brief (but memorable) enemy of The Fifteenth Doctor
Reprobate: The God of Spite- An as yet unseen deity, though I have my theories. I believe this is another name for Fendahl, a classic Doctor Who villain who fed on souls, as classic Who described Fendahl as the same species as The Mara, another member of The Pantheon. A being that is cruel enough to feed on your very life essence? Seems pretty spiteful to me
The Mara: The God of Beasts- A canon member of The Pantheon and an enemy to The Fifth Doctor. Representing a massive snake and called a psychevore originally, Mara is a shapeshifter, having "many forms and none" that feeds on raw emotion and requires a host to form in the real world
Lucifer: The God of Despair- This one isn't canonical but I love the idea of The Beast from The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit being a member of The Pantheon. Every pantheon needs their horned deity and The Beast fits perfectly. Not to mention he was voiced by Gabriel Woolf the voice of Sutekh. I made him The God of Despair here because in his episodes he was referred to as The Prince of Despair and Lucifer was also a name attributed to him. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Abaddon: The God of Hunger- This is the child of The Beast, featuring in the Torchwood episode "End of Days". Described as The Great Devourer who eats at life itself, he was eventually defeated by trying to devour Captain Jack's immortality. As I made his dad a member of The Pantheon, I thought Abaddon would also work and his "Great Devourer" title makes him the perfect candidate for a god of hunger. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Fenric: The God of Pestilence- A classic Who villain and enemy of The Seventh Doctor, described as "an evil force from the dawn of time". As he was able to infect the minds of an entire Viking clan and their descendants, altering their destiny, Pestilence seems like a good domain for him. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Jester: The God of Fear- An enemy from The Sarah Jane Adventures, an insane shapeshifter who caused and fed on fear. Throughout time he has appeared as The Pied Piper and fed on the fear of The Plague of Rats and later on the fear genrated when he took away Hamelin's children. Later he took the identity of Odd Bob the Clown and kidnapped children, feeding on the fear that these kidnappings caused. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Krampus: The God of Trickery- A canon member of The Pantheon, from the comic story Imaginary Enemies. He tried to remove Amy Pond, Rory Williams and Mels Zucker/River Song from time in the 1990's by tricking their classmate Veronica Stackmore into wishing them away. He gives his victims disguised gifts that grant him manipulative power over them.
Harbinger: The God of Chance- Yes I'm making Harbinger a God and also just one being. They're now a shapeshifter and the child of Maestro. They serve as a lesser deity and lie in wait, at moments in time, where there is a chance to break the barrier between the outer plane where The Pantheon lives and the mortal universe. Harbinger is now master of The Not Things and released them from the edge of the Universe when The Fourteenth Doctor and Donna crashed there, causing 14 to "invoke a superstition at the edge of the Universe". This one slight nudge to chance warped reality and let Harbinger's fellow gods loose.
Moloch: The God of Chaos- The brother of Fenric and a canonical God of Chaos, since I made Fenric a member of The Pantheon, it seemed fitting to make him part of it too, especially since it's a Pantheon of Discord and he's a god of Chaos. Seems very fitting that The Pantheon would have a deity whose domain is the name of their whole group. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Incensor: The God of Disaster- A canon member of The Pantheon and mother of Doubt and Dread. Having read about Fenric and Moloch, I thought I could tie in Incensor by making her, another name of "Mi'en Kalarash", a legend from before Galifrey itself who is described as The Blue Fire and a being that inhabits "the wasteland between realities". That felt too perfect to not be the realm of The God of Disaster, so I made the two beings one.
Light: The God of Endings- Another classic Who villain and another being described as "an evil older than time itself" by The Seventh Doctor. He was obsessed with cataloguing everything in The Universe and became enraged whenever anything changed. He could teleport, move at "the speed of thought", had telekinesis and telepathy along with electrical abilities. As he detested change so much, bringing a permanent end to all change seems like it would fit him. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Akhaten: The God of Plagues- The villain from The Rings of Akhaten, described by The Eleventh Doctor as "a parasitic deity" who fed on the hopes, dreams and souls of the people of Akhaten. As 11 called him a plague on the people singing to him and the people themselves called him "An Old God" I wanted to include him as a God of The Pantheon and I think a domain of Plagues suits him. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Midnight: The God of Shadow- This is my take on what The Creature from the planet and episode Midnight was. An immortal being so old and powerful, so evil and dangerous that it could only be imprisoned on a planet where the sun ate away at any form of biological matter, to stop it gaining a host. It's jailers named the planet Midnight as a warning of The Deity it imprisoned but over time this meaning was lost. Now Midnight, roams his prison planet, driven insane and wanting nothing but escape. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Kronos: The God of Time- A classic Who villain and enemy of The Third Doctor, from the story The Time Monster, Kronos was worshipped but feared as an evil god, a destroyer, child slayer and destructive force of evil. Captured in Greek mythology as The Titan of Time and Father of Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Hera and Demeter. With how often this being is symbolized as evil in both Doctor Who and media in general, Kronos Lord of Time fits in well here. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Void: The God of Darkness- This deity is partly OC and partly based on some stuff from canon. This is the physical embodiment of The Void, the space between dimensions that contains "No light, nothing. Only darkness" according to The Tenth Doctor. Responsible for The Darkness of The Mind, where the worst ideas of sentient life come from, Void's power bleeds through dimensions and realities to infect every living thing with its power. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Sutekh: The God of Death- A canon member and apparently the leader of The Pantheon, described as "the mother, father and other of all" and "the god of gods". Sutekh faced The Fourth Doctor in "The Pyramids of Mars" and later The Fifteenth Doctor in "Empire of Death". A creature obsessed with death and ending all life in The Universe as he sees life as a perversion, Sutekh stands on high as the Master of The Pantheon
Huitzilin: The God of Fear- Another of the same species as The Mara in the Classic Who novel, The Left Handed Hummingbird. Like how Mara feasted on emotion and Fendahl who fed on souls, Huitzilin feasted on fear and panic, as he's the same race as Mara and Fendahl in Classic Who, I thought making him a member of The Pantheon worked and a god of fear fits with the other gods. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
The Doctor: The God of Life- Surprise! I am basing this on a theory I have. The Doctor was found as a child by Tecteun on Galifrey before The Time Lords formed as a race. But why was he beneath the monolith as a child? What if he was a banished God? The God of Life and antithesis to Sutekh. This would explain his seemingly infinite regenerations.
A lost immortal god, banished as a youngling, would definitely make him "The Timeless Child". This would also explain his desire to save everyone and everything, he is literally driven to preserve his domain as much as he can. It could also explain how The Fifteenth Doctor brought the butterfly back to life in Space Babies
He was taken in by The Time Lords but when they invented time travel he became a danger, A God unbound from time itself, a non linear deity. When his fellow deities saw this, they formed a plan to wipe his mind and bind him into the mortal plane. The Trickster trapped The Doctor by making a deal with Tecteun.
The Trickster granted Tecteun the last bit of knowledge she needed to steal The Doctor's power over regeneration and life and work it into The Time Lord's DNA and descendants. However in return, Trickster trapped The Doctor to Galifrey, they became A Galifreyan biologically, Tecteun rewrote The Doctor's biology to trap him with Galifrey and her people. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
Precursor: The God of The Unknown and Secrets- The only one who's a complete OC deity. This deity hides in the background of their fellow gods actions, ensnaring victims with the knowledge they desperately want, forcing them into deals that Precursor binds them to. They then grant their victim the knowledge but immediately destroy it and feast on the disappointment and rage that their victim feels, leaving the victim a husk. Precursor can also rework reality like their fellow gods, trapping the truth in The Unknown Realm while making a new perceived truth, tricking everyone and keeping the true secret, the real knowledge unknown. Not a canon member of The Pantheon
I hope over the next few weeks, to be able to write and publish short stories for each and everyone of these deities! Hope you enjoyed this expanded Pantheon of Discord

Could I ask for your thoughts on Last Bot Standing's ending? That tidbit intrigued when reading your post.
hahahaha. you wish to invoke my ire? my rage? *eyes clock* I wonder if I have enough time to do this before I have to leave for work
let's get the disclaimer out of the way: LBS is not for me. that's the proper thing you're supposed to say in this situation. my criticism is all extremely personal taste related. the story is cogently written, it's cogently drawn. it's An End to Transformers - that was its goal - and it fulfilled it.
so with that out of the way, I'll put my personal taste related ire beneath the cut. let's be honest, here. anger is entertaining, but it's not all that inspirational.
Second Disclaimer: I'm going completely off memory and I'm not going to cite my sources because I don't have time, but you all know where the tf wiki is. You can read the plot yourself and try to find the tweet I mention
First, a quick note on WHEN it came out, since that's important: IDW2 was coming to an end (they were losing or not renewing their TF license, whichever it was). Nick Roche wrote and drew LBS, and it was one of the very last things coming out from IDW. he described it as, per my memory of one of his tweets, the equivalent of "carrying your screaming kids out of the restaurant." Although this was done during IDW2, he specifically drew Rodimus (the main TF character) in his MTMTE form (from IDW1). Roche said that the story was meant to be "an" end to TFs, not "the" end. Meaning, yeah sure it's canon, but there are soooo manyyyyy dimensions out there. This doesn't have to be the end of MTMTE Rodimus.
but oh boy was it implied.
the story was 4 comics long and it went something like this: we're introduced to an alien girl on an alien planet towards the heat death of the universe (so, really far future). it's a Western style world. girl has a wagon, brothers, and conflict with the town she lives in. the planet has energon, which the natives find. this attracts the last living group of Cybertronians. surprise: the wagon is Rodimus. he wakes up and slaughters them all. he basically says Cybertronians have no fate but to fight: they are inherently violent and destroy everything they come across. so he's been killing them. he killed his own crew of friends when they landed on that planet. at the end of the story, when every single other Cybertronian in the entire universe is dead, he shoots himself up into orbit around the alien planet so he can slowly starve to death
that summary really doesn't do the emotional impact much justice, so, idk, read it if you want
when I finished the story, I sat back and thought, "wow, if I hated Transformers, this is what I would've written. but the guy who wrote this doesn't hate them. Nick Roche, who hurt you?"
and I had an immediate hypothesis. the 1986 movie. the movie slaughtered many beloved characters, and Roche was passing on that childhood hurt
lol. I mean, maybe. that's something we'll never know, but that was the first explanation I thought of
ok so why hate this?
it's fundamentally hopeless. there is nothing but slaughter and death. no recourse. no discussion, no chance for people to change. no further exploration of any other possible options. just slaughter and death. I, personally, hate that
any particular iteration of Rodimus you find- this isn't how he acts. MTMTE Rodimus ended LL uniting his crew into spectacular action by saying how they might not be good, but they're good enough
the portrayal of the entire species as inherently harmful bothers me
this was like, the LAST THING WE GOT FROM IDW. THIS WAS THE CROWNING, FINISHING ACT. LOL. what??? the fuck???????? to me it read as "well, we don't have them anymore, so no one else can have them. we'll destroy them."
now in an attempt to stymie anyone coming into replies and arguing with my opinions, remember: this is my opinion. I put it behind a cut after clearly labeling it. this is not a discussion. I don't want to have a discussion.
LBS is what I would've written if I hated Transformers and wanted them to suffer and die in the most personal, horrible ways possible. but I don't hate TFs. I really really like them. I love giving them stories. so LBS encapsulating the worst ending for them possible, yeah, I'm gonna hate that

Was desperate enough to use the search function to find posts about The Host by Stephenie Meyer and I just wanted to say, I love your takes and I agree with everything.
The love square never made sense. Jared and Melanie were impossible to root for because the sole basis of their love was that Melanie felt safe with him and Melanie was the last woman on Earth to Jared, and then neither of those things turn out to be true so all they have is intense sexual chemistry. And especially in contrast to Ian and Wanda, how and why am I supposed to care about them? And there is no reason for Wanda to love Jared. I get her falling in love with him through Melanie’s memory of him, but the reality ought to have shattered that illusion for both of them IMO. Especially for Melanie, because he’d rather scream at and hit her body rather than even entertain the hope she might be in there. Sure, he protects it from other humans, but then he abuses it, so that’s not in fact protection; it’s possession.
The gender bioessentialism never made sense. Sure, Wanda’s in a female body and can make the choice to reproduce, which is super cool. But given that her sense of gender hinges on that ability to reproduce and given that that ability is super rare, why would other Souls gender themselves? I think being agender or someone who just didn’t give a damn about pedantic human gender roles would have been super interesting for Wanda’s character and I think it would have added more dimension to her and Ian’s relationship. He barely had to struggle with the fact that the body she was in belonged to an attractive cisgender girl and he was a cishet man, in spite of Meyer’s weak attempts to call that into question. The gender question might have thrown him for more of a loop.
Contrast that to Jared’s very comphet interpretation of his relationship with Melanie, and ooh baby, we’ve got a stew!
Also would have liked more exploration on ethics in general. Why do the Souls care about the well-being of the organisms on the Fire Eater planet but not on Earth? Instead of stopping from eating them, do they steal their bodies too? And the humans killing other humans in an attempt to save them: Is it okay to murder them if they’re the ones doing the murdering, like before?
Sorry for the long ask. I just have a lot of thoughts. Please feel free to block and ignore if this is too weird. Genuinely no intention to bother or offend and I’m sorry if I have.
Oh man I'm always ready to rant about The Host with people!
Yeah I feel like Meyer thought she was saying something really deep about human nature and the way that our instincts drive us? And there is something there, like, your body having a reaction to another person and that affecting your behavior is interesting! In my opinion she just went WAY too far with it, and it makes the characters seem unrealistic and childish. The ways that both Melanie and Wanderer act around Jared are bizarre (this may partially be my ace spectrum talking but like, c'mon.) Jared just kinda sucks, also. The whole idea that there's this inherent magnetism between MEN and WOMEN and that that physical attraction is the most important thing in the world is so heteronormative and amatonormative and uncomfortable
And the book was SO CLOSE to having an interesting take on gender! Examing the genders and/or lack thereof of a body-snatching alien species could be so fun! There's even the mention of the alien species with three genders, and talking about their family structures. You would think that something like that would indicate a more expansive view on gender, but really it's just an extrapolation of more bioessentialism. Because that species has those biological sexes, their families MUST be steucturedin this way, because that's what's natural for them. There's no room for variability or different sorts of feelings. She completely equates gender with biology, even when that biology is being coopted by a hitchhiker.
You're so right about Ian and Wanderer, I would love more examinations of how different she is from humans, including in a gender sense, and them having to deal with that as a part of their relationship. Setting up Jared as someone very entrenched in social norms and Ian as a foil to him in that way sounds really interesting!
Soul society and ethics are SO fascinating. I do sincerely think that Meyer is an compelling fantasy and sci fi world builder, if nothing else.
It's late and I feel like I'm a little incoherent but I love getting to chat about this book, it's so infuriating but so fun, now I want to read it again.
#feel free to send asks#i know the pain of being into something with way too small a fandom#I wonder if there's goo fanfic for this book out there#I'd love to try and write some someday I do legitimately have so many ideas and feelings about it#i sometimes forget that ian and wanderer's relationship is legitimately compelling to me#but then i remember that she was sure he would be disgusted by her#but he held her in his hands and he thought she was beautiful 😭#okay I'm actually done now#smeyer's the host#stephanie meyer's the host#stephanie meyer critical#anti smeyer

Has anyone thought about a 2012 apocalyptic future x Rise apocalyptic future crossover? 🤔
I know this fandom goes wild for future Rise boys x present Rise boys ‘crossovers’ and same for 2012 x Rise crossovers but now I’m really curious to see how the adult turtles from 2012 and then Rise would interact and compare notes when sharing war stories…
One of my reactors on Patreon just reacted to the Mutant Apocalypse arc that I have refused to watch again since it came out because ouch trauma, especially since I thought that was supposed to be the actual ending 🥲
But it makes me realizing when comparing that the 2012 boys didn’t even get to stay together like Rise did, and the Kraang successfully killed all the humans in the mutagen explosion.
The Rise guys at least got to stay together until each one died, but they also had to spend the entire apocalypse still fighting. Which makes it seem like 2012’s predicament is less horrible since their main concern is finding resources and survival, but if you think about that too, in Rise, even though they were fighting so long, the chance/opportunity to kill the Kraang and fix everything was actually an option all that time. They had lasting hope, however fragile and wavering. For 2012 all that stuff seemed pretty permanent. The desert wasteland and civilization gone as it once was… Not only that but they already lost the entirety of the human species which could never come back.
And now that I’m really thinking about it, there are no Kraang around in the post apocalyptic desert, so were they somehow destroyed in that mutagen explosion too, or did the remaining survivors of Earth somehow kill off the Kraang at some point? More likely, maybe after seeing the miserable wasteland that earth became, the Kraang left to go back to Dimension X or start over somewhere else with another planet. Unclear whether the mutagen bomb didn’t work how they wanted it to or maybe after the turtles interfering so much they just wanted to destroy the planet completely as vengeance and move on somewhere else
Now, in both worlds it’s mostly yokai/mutants left as the main population, either left fighting the fight or all the mutants just left surviving. The turtles’ kind became the mainstream population which is a lot to unpack. Despite being mutants and turtles living underground their lifestyles are so derived from how humans lived. Both their Splinter’s were once human and now their former species is (nearly) gone…
I also find the differences in how each group progressed in growing pretty interesting. The Rise turtles got to grow how they were supposed to for the most part, save for Mikey’s advanced aging and if you want to include Leo’s prosthetic arm later on. Whereas, the 2012 turtles vary much more differently in physical form than they’re supposed to and in comparison to each other:
Donnie’s a cyborg with only his human brain left, his body still resembling his teenage body rather than his much older current age
Mikey just barely grew at best, and practically mirrors Rise Mikey’s physical state, unfortunately 2012 didn’t keep his sanity 100% in tact though
And Leonardo was almost completely deformed from taking the brunt of the mutagen bomb and becomes absolutely freaking huge. Like probably bigger than Rise Raph huge
Raph seems to be the only one who grew in (comparatively) the least abnormal and most healthy way, resembling what the rest of his brothers would’ve likely grown to appear as had they not had the different health complications/deformities. He also resembles his Rise counterpart’s body build the most. I know many speculate Rise Raph would’ve only kept getting bigger and bigger as they transitioned into adulthood, and it seems 2012 follows that track as well with how large and aged he is
Not to mention their varying mental health… My god. Again, poor Mikey partially lost his mind, and even though he did have Chompy and Ice Cream Kitty to keep him company all those years it still takes a toll on the psyche to not have anyone around to actually converse with for so long. Out of all his brothers Mikey’s definitely seems like the one to need social contact the most for stability.
Raph can’t remember much of anything from their past life because of the mutagen blast. As far as we can tell he remembers enough about his brothers to see them as such, but we also know he doesn’t even remember Master Splinter, his own father who he knew since infancy
Leo completely lost who he was and forgot who his brothers were, not only that but becoming the very thing that is the complete antithesis of who he is: a villain. One that was rather similar to Shredder at that. And we can’t forget yet another parallel where he almost killed his little brother because he didn’t even know/remember who his little brother was
Donnie seems mostly the same at least when it comes to mental health and keeping a grip on reality, but I’d really like to know his true feelings on losing his physical body and becoming an android. They make it seem like it must not bother him much, and teenage Donnie pre-apocalypse might even find the idea really cool, but we saw how it affected Fugitoid and once that becomes a reality it’s a whole unavoidable mind fuck
Ack. Now I can’t get this out of my head. The adult apocalypse versions of these guys would have so much to talk about and honesty I think meeting more counterparts—especially from apocalyptic timelines —would be such a great comfort to both groups. With how much each side has lost having more family that survived would be a welcomed thing.
I’d love to see some other people or artists’ takes on this because holy crap the potential these apocalyptic universes have in meeting each other is freaking atomic, highly flammable, freaking radioactive

There's likely a part 2 to my Rick Parasite theory coming. Thank you to anyone who reblogged it, but I am hoping it still explodes. This is something I removed from the theory originally to make into its own post
Season 4, Episode 1 shows other dimensions have become fascist seemingly without an explanation. These are the dimensions that have Operation Phoenix set up. Rick had no back-up clones due to killing them all in 'Big Trouble in Little Sanchez'. The fact he goes into other dimensions for this means that the other Ricks must have known about him, but each of them comes in confused and ready to kill. So what's going on here?
Rick had escaped the clutches of The Citadel and cosmic prison. He would go out of his way to destroy it, leaving it in physical shattered remains. In Season 3, Episode 1, we see that Rick changes bodies with other Ricks in a similar way. However, that's because his mind was still intact - it was the body that was being cut-off forcibly. He dies in an accident in Season 4, causing the chain of events of his holograms and clones. I think this is an attempt from The Citadel to rebuild and catch Rick. What's the proof?
The Ricklantis Mixup shows blatantly (mainly through its cold opening) that not everyone hates The Citadel and wants it gone. The fact there's politicians at all means there are people who genuinely care for The Citadel. That means it can splinter off properly - again, this is evident through the existence of political parties. Other Ricks would create their OWN Citadel. Even if they're small compared to the scope of The Citadel, they're still the smartest man in their own dimension. This would allow them to create a government in their dimension that serves as a mini-Citadel that controls the entire planet
As the Wiki points out, there seems to be no racial hierarchy in the first fascist government we see. I don't know if this applies to any other government we see because they're based on species - we don't know if they coexist or all species are divided
However, the system of fascism in the first one mentions sterilizing China. Rick would obviously be able to pull this off, but it seems that each politician Rick went out of their way to set up their own government in their dimension, as I hinted at. This allows total control and means private Citadel-esque systems control each dimension personally rather than having a watchful eye over each dimension
Fascist Morty might seem like an anomaly, but there's a great explanation for this
He says this Rick was 'too political', meaning he must have been focused on his new role as a dictator. When he mentions missing old adventures, this is something that can explain why they did this in the first place
This is sort of a chicken and egg situation on which came first, so bear with me. But I think when The Citadel was destroyed, Ricks in their dimension were distraught and wanted to bring it back in some way. They must have also heard that Rick C-137 was on the loose, causing there to be a perfect solution. If Rick ever dies, they can cause the rerouted Operation Phoenix vats to bring C-137 to them. With these fascist Citadel-esque governments in place, they keep their ideologies going and kill C-137 right in their own dimension. In a way, they brought the Citadel home and to Rick
The thing about adventures though - they KILL
The idea of a Meeseeks Box still existing is interesting, even Kirkland versions of them. This IS an autocracy, meaning that Rick can literally spawn in Meeseeks to do whatever he wants. It's perfect! That means no soldiers can turn on him, they're temporary servants that can only do one thing and do it right
In the situation of an 'adventure', even if Rick can leave for a while by using a Meeseeks or two (or relying on other figures like the president), it's still dangerous. If he dies, the vat is used as Rick reincarnates. They CANNOT allow that to happen. Considering Operation Phoenix carries a limited number of bodies (and Rick seems to have had the most growing), it's risky because they'd be wasting one on the fascist Rick while waiting for C-137 to come
Wasp Rick doesn't seem to be an outlier, though
Notice how Fascist Morty took control quickly of the situation and seems to follow these political ideaologies as well. He just wants to have a stable mix of a controlled government and adventuring Wasp Rick also mentions that Wasp Morty has been looking at alt-right forums after berating C-137 for using up a vat. Sound familiar?
However, Wasp Rick goes on about how his species is already brutal. So here's the final part of this theory before a recap
The dimensions that Rick's vat can reroute to seem to be on the perpetual state of having a body available to use. Considering the hatred that a Morty might have against Rick (already being shown), the death of The Citadel means that they resent Rick-centered governments AND the Rick who also caused adventures to slow down! That means Wasp Morty was likely looking at anti-Rick forums that explore a DIFFERENT kind of political ideology. I mentioned that there are different parties already, so maybe Morty was looking at a forum that introduces Morties to hating their Rick
This episode LITERALLY has Morty already going against C-137 Rick's wishes so...this theme is still continuing
Wasp Rick is angry because his Operation Phoenix vat system is being restricted to catch C-137. Rick is also aware that Wasp Morty is looking at these forums, so this is clearly an ongoing issue where other dimensions' fascist Ricks try to introduce this ideology. Wasp Rick has his vats being restricted right now as a result through what I'll call a phantom Citadel - the conceptual Citadel still trying to control each Rick and the orders that'll usually be sent out to follow
RECAP: The Citadel is trying to reform through Ricks that are angry and they decide to set up their own fascist Citadels they can run. During this, they realize that C-137 is still out there, but they decide to bide their time. In the event he dies, they'll have Operation Phoenix vats monitored and restricted. If adventuring is banned, it would also give these Ricks excuses to stay in their dimension and rule as well, creating either angry or prepared Ricks that are all branching off a similar fascist ideology - even if the political systems seem to be different across each dimension
I'd suggest leaving a comment if you'd like to see more Rick and Morty theories. These do not do well on my page sadly, and this acts sort of as Rick Parasite Theory 1.5. Part 2 might come out as well so...let me know if you want that. Or I should make this all into a YouTube video...

okay so i mentioned the multiverse with dallas and The Family many times but i wanted to expand on that:
tw: unreality, depersonalization/derealization -> idk how bad w these but its. it can be triggering probably.
not exactly what im thinking of but meh.
-> what im going for
the line at the top (of my drawing) is like a separate plane. its like how there a spiritual dimension in some fandoms? where you can be but not interact w the physical world? its sorta similar to that but only in the way that its above all universes that exist EVER.
its where The Family reside. its not a whole other universe because The Family has no origin universe— aji IS the origin. when aji selected someone, who then became a Chosen and then Ascended after death, he created this dimensional space.
anyways, more on the multiverse. its similar to space and galaxies set-up, obviously. each universe is just a bundle of stardust and life— look into it closely and you can See whats going on inside it.
its like a garden, too. as mentioned once before, the Eyes can manipulate how they look, thus their height. in the mulitverse garden (idk what else to call it), the universes normally can fit in their palms. (“like,, to compare,. a planet would be anywhere from the size of a marble to a baseball in their hands (sometimes even full universes can fit in their hands & bc shapeshifting)”). again, roaming in a garden or wading through water.
i have described the multiverse as a spiderweb but it’s only when Guides* are HOLDING universes in their hands… like string. ->
* a name for The Family. easier than calling them The Eyes or The Family n all that.
this but more spiderweb-looking… and with more strings, this is puny.
and The Core? The Core is centered right at the middle of the Garden. The Core is OUR world. our universe that has several galaxies and solar systems and the Milky Way and Earth. every multiverse branches off from The Core, even if things from The Core doesn’t exist in its universe. it still is descended from The Core because a Core eyeless made up that universe.
im breaking my brain thinking about this—
however non-Core universes? ones that arent associated with The Core? they still exist yeah. but really, most things have elements from Core cultures and species and nature and science and all that. (undeveloped bc i literally cannot grasp this concept. everything i make is connected to my humanity, which is Core. my experience on earth is dripping from my hands and it stains all my creations with a brush of a thought and the tips of my fingers.)
i got side-tracked.
The Core is the oldest universe. aji came into existence with a sea of nothing and then centuries later, so did The Core.
this doesn’t mean every other universe is only a few million years old. time is irrelevant. time is both now and then. the future is the past and the past is the future. the big bang happened when the gun went off into abraham lincoln’s skull. the sun exploded when it also came into existence. the baby laughs and at the same time, it dies of old age. i sit on my death bed and i am also ten years old. it is not linear. let me repeat that: time is not linear.
this doesn’t even include the conservation of matter. that matter cannot be created or destroyed. the grass that fed the rabbit is the same as the rabbit eating the grass. the molecules that make up fire are the same as the tree that feeds it. the ashes of a parent also make up the smile of a spouse. i am me but i am also you. we are everything that has ever existed and more. we are repurposed and made into something new. are we ever truly new? the flesh of my skin has been something else before. it will be something again.
The Core may be the oldest universe in the Garden, but inside itself, it is still young. universes can be born already hundreds of millions of years old inside of themselves, yet in the Garden they are only a blink in time compared to the existence of The Core.
besides, new universes come into existence quickly. a blink of an eye and hundreds may appear. blink again and theres hundreds of thousands more. theres no Core measurement that can even describe this.
and the Guides? they don’t have to physically be in a world to See. They don’t need to hold a universe gently in their palms and open the stardust curtains to reveal the stage of life and death, to See the actors do their part in the play they didn’t know existed.
no, most Family members stay in the dimensional plane thats above the Garden. They simply open Their Eyes and focus on a universe, then watch. honestly, its like spectator mode in minecraft— a bit different but its still similar.
some Family members, however, prefer to guide by entering the universe itself. not many do this: dallas is one of the few. its takes a toll and each of the Guide-walkers has their own reason for doing so.
there really is no way to describe all of this… have you held the multiverse in your hands? did the universes overflow and drip from your palms? did you hold the dark sludge of shadows too? or was it only the brightness of the universes being so close in your hands? are there even shadows if there is no sun? is there light if the only source comes from the trillions of universes themselves? are they bright enough to show you the way?
are you floating in the Garden, the void, where there is nothing under you? there is nothing above you. what is a floor if it does not exist? will you have to relearn how to walk if all you do is hover in the nothing-that-is-somehow-everything?
what do you breathe? do you even breathe? what is breathing? have you forgotten?
did you forget how to be alive? did you forget how to push blood through your veins? did you forget how to turn food into nutrients? did you forget how to blink? what about inflating and deflating your lungs? and what of the heart? the valves and chambers and blood and what it looks like and how does it beat?
how long have you been in the Garden? time is tangled, anyway.
dude holy fucking shit im actually insane over this
the way you write?????? i cant even describe it but ITS SO GOOD its like addictive…
“my experience on earth is dripping from my hands and it stains all my creations with a brush of a thought and the tips of my fingers.” <- IM OBSESSEDDDDD WITH THIS
the inherent humanity of a story no matter how far it tries to distance itself from our world… gee whiz
CRAZY OVER THIS OMG i love the way you describe basically the experience of a god and how utterly massive and incomprehensible it is to us… ough…
tgis is so good dude
#i have to go for now BUT!!!!!! i will absolutely answer the other ask in a bit!!!#i actually cant wait dude omg youre such a good writer…#<333

Ok I know this is all casual but now Im like, half the population be lines? Do lines, that are female in Flatlands logic, have a shape theyre still attached to genderwise? Can flatlanders tell that a line is like triangle- and it not be attached to marriage or class. Is it weird for Bill when Ford is like ‘Hexagon’ bc being a shape is a gender but also historically kind of also your class and social identity. Sorry I do find alien social construction really fun
Line is its own gender. If you're a line with some recessive genetic code for a triangle that you got from your dad, you're not a Triangle Lite, you're a line. If a line identifies with a different shape, they're probably trans.
I feel like the question "do lines (who are female) feel an affinity for any shapes?" comes from a place of "all the other shapes are Fun Alien Genders and I'm disappointed that only males get fun alien genders, I want females to participate in alien genders too"—but like, "line" IS a fun alien gender. When I say "their genders are shapes," I'm including lines. Their species isn't 50% Female/50% Assorted Shapes, it's 100% Assorted Shapes.
Flatland made a male/female dichotomy because Flatland WANTED to make a point about Victorian-era sexism, and I'm sort of stuck with those associations as a legacy of starting with Flatland as the base for worldbuilding—but like, I'm EXTREMELY not interested in a sexual dichotomy lmao. If I were actually writing a fic set in Bill's home dimension, I'd probably go a LOT further to homebrew the genders so that it's harder for people to say "lines, which are exactly the same as females." Make lines the same percentage of the population as other genders, for instance, rather than 50%. Or invent a new method of reproduction.
But since I'm writing fic set on Earth and Bill's dimension is only present in flashbacks, digging too deep into worldbuilding that plays no role in the story would be a superfluous distraction—it'd risk dragging readers' attention away from the details that matter for something that'll have no impact on the story because Bill's species is extinct. 🤷 So as it is I kinda have to go "nobody on his planet was male or female, trust me" and move on.
I don't think I've mentioned this recently, but "your shape is your class" is one of the bits of Flatland I've chucked straight out the window, for the same "Flatland did this as commentary on Victorian society, and I'm not writing about Victorian society" reason I've chucked other things out the window. It is an important facet of identity that can impact nearly every part of a shape's life—because that's what gender roles are like—but there's no rigid hierarchical ladder, no formal list of acceptable trades for each shape, no system of generational social climbing via having children with one more side. There's a possibility that it USED to be like that, over a century before Bill lived, in his world's "Victorian" times; but like, he grew up in "modern" times, he had fresh new social problems to deal with.
(And if "families aspire to produce one more side per generation until they start failing to have kids or getting weird mutations" did go on in his world, it wasn't a natural thing that happened each generation; it was society as a whole getting so good at selectively breeding for increased sides that they probably got, like, hella inbred nobility. Perfect circles woulda been like the Habsburg dynasty for sheer terrifying levels of inbreeding. By Bill's times people would've realized that's genetically ridiculous and any families still trying to arrange marriages for increased sides would be seen as creepy and out-of-touch.)
So being a hexagon is just being a hexagon. It's not assigning yourself a gender of baron.

I feel like hopefully stirring up a discussion/inspiring people to share their own thoughts, so have some headcanons I have regarding the Krangs' fucked-up society/biology/etc:
—The Krang as we see them are basically a space-parasite that glommed onto the utrom species. The utrom scientists of yore poked Dimension X too hard (the dimension just past the prison dimension and right before the nothingness that sits at the center of all realities), and accidentally unleashed the eldritch horrors that existed within. i.e. The aforementioned parasites. The utrom ended up being completely overtaken, cordyceps-and-ants style, and countless lives across the galaxy were destroyed as a result of them not leaving well enough alone. Nice work, ya chucklefucks.
—Krang morality is… weird. They do understand there’s a separation between right and wrong, and as a group they tend to try to stick to the “right” side of the equation. And despite being just a shade away from being a hivemind, they can even have individual moral codes about what they personally view as acceptable and reprehensible.
It’s just that unfortunately, their definition of “right vs. wrong” is very different from the rest of the universe. That whole “we’re stronger which means we know better than everyone else” mentality.
—They genuinely think they’re helping when they assimilate planets. Uno wasn’t spouting bullshit when he declared “I am saving this WEAK planet!” Because, really, why would he bother to bullshit at that point? He’d thought his victory was assured, and that Leo would either die at Raph’s hand or be beaten down enough to get krangified himself. Why bother making that statement if he didn’t 100% believe it?
As far as the Krang see it, they are the strongest beings in existence. Only the strong deserve to live. By assimilating other lifeforms, they’re gifting them the strength of the Krang, essentially granting them the right to life. There’s a reason Uno described their goals as a “crusade.” If any other Krang had been around to hear him say he was “saving” earth, they’d have agreed wholeheartedly.
(The “I am a gift!” –line would’ve elicited some eyerolls, though. Not that he’d have cared – as far as he’s concerned he’s just stating the facts, but anyway.)
—What we saw of Earth’s invasion – both in the snippet of the future and present-day events – was far, far more violent and cruel than how Krang invasions typically go. (Example: At one point Casey mentions a “Krang labor camp.” Which, considering they have the ability to krangify whoever/WHATever they want, the Krang shouldn’t logically have a need for a labor camp. They made one anyway.) This is for two reasons:
First, there were only three true Krang doing the invading. We see mechsuits marching around in the future, sure, but we don’t actually see any Krang inside them. This is because it’s just empty tech the sibs built to enforce their will/probably just to deal with the tech Donnie built to combat them. Since the sibs couldn’t rely on numbers to take out their enemies cleanly, they had to utilize brute-force and make things messy.
Second, Uno says, and I quote: “The people of this planet will pay for what they’ve done to me.” The assimilation of earth was personal. He (+his siblings, I can only imagine) were fucking pissed, and putting the hurt on the creatures who took down his entire species was just as much the goal as conquering them was.
—Absolutely none of the chemicals that help determine humans’ emotions can be found in any of the Krang. As such, certain earthling emotional responses are literally beyond their comprehension when they’re functioning how they’re supposed to. They don’t feel anxiety, for example. They can feel fear, but there needs to be immediate danger present for them to get to that point. Which, considering their whole “strength is the end-all-be-all; the weak can get fucked” mentality, isn’t exactly something they would openly indulge in anyway, but you get it. In fact, most emotional responses besides all-out rage are considered the Krang equivalent of going clinically insane in their society.
(Like with humans who’ve been driven insane, these responses are usually brought on by trauma.)
—Bouncing off of this, they’re mostly incapable of feeling empathy or compassion. Not entirely, granted, but it’s essentially only towards members of the little packs they’ll form amongst themselves, and even then there’s limits. Frankly, if they start to exhibit too much of either, they’d be placed into the same “insane” classification above. Too much empathy/compassion will inevitably endanger the Krangs’ collective mission, so more often than not offenders are put down rather quickly.
Note: I really need to emphasize that instances of the above (Krang feeling empathy or compassion/displaying extreme emotional responses that aren’t rage) are not ever a “ooh this individual from an Always Evil species saw the light and now they’re a good guy!” –situation. Krang who end up like this tend to be extremely erratic, and not particularly lucid. Their brains are not functioning the way they’re supposed to if they gain access to this spectrum of emotions, and it’s abundantly obvious. When I say these things qualify them as being insane, I mean it.
—Krang do actually place importance on familial bonds, it’s just that said bonds aren’t usually based on any kind of genetic connection. Krang “siblings,” for example, are overwhelmingly not related in the slightest, and are completely family of choice. The deciding factors between becoming siblings versus just being comrades is that in addition to just being a pragmatic alliance, they actually like each other.
—It’s genetically impossible for Krangs to become inbred or suffer any kind of defects based on the relations of their parents, which plays a part in them not really needing to keep track of who they share genetic material with. (Krang tend to scatter and not really interact with any of their wombmates after being born - think fish or bugs.) Hilariously, though, mating with their chosen siblings is just as much of a taboo for them as sleeping with genetic siblings is for humans. Most would be utterly disgusted at the very suggestion. There is very little in common between human and Krang morality, but that’s one of the few places they overlap.
—Romantic connections are much rarer than the sibling packs they form, but not unheard of. Generally speaking, Krang usually just pair off with the most pragmatic match available during their mating period, and then don’t care if they never see each other again. But it’s perfectly possible for them to form a bond with one partner in particular, integrate them into whatever group they may currently be a part of, and then default to them during the mating period.
(The Krang: The only species where “You’re my default” is actually an incredibly romantic thing to say to your partner.)
—The Krang are hermaphrodites, capable of either inseminating or becoming pregnant depending on the situation. There are differences between males and females, just none involving reproductive organs: Females have heightened reflexes, males have a thicker hide (females have eight layers of skin, males have twelve). Baby Krang, being born fully cognizant (if much smaller and maybe a bit more naive than the adults), need to decide what their sex is the second they pop out, and are then responsible for producing the proper chemicals until they hit puberty to ensure their chosen sex.
(Note: Attempting to produce all the chemicals to try to get the benefits of both sexes will result in the Krang-equivalent of an autoimmune disease. This is highly unrecommended for this reason.)
—Tying in with the above, Krangs’ collective idea of “gender” boils down to like. Stats basically. Did you opt for speed or durability? Masculinity and femininity are completely foreign (and useless) concepts to them.
—The Krang mating process is a combination of several animals I’ve read about. They all have a hectocotylus tentacle (the middle one on their right sides, if you’re wondering), which one partner will remove and present to the mate they’ve decided will carry the new Krang. The babies gestate (Krang will carry between about 50-70 palm-sized spawn at a time), and then when the time is right the kids will eat their way out of their parent. Krang are a lot spongier than most species, so unless things go horribly wrong they’ll survive giving birth, but it’s every bit as agonizing as you’d expect it to be.
—When mating, it's the Krang who’s deemed the stronger of the pair who gets the privilege of carrying the children, considering how violent the birthing process is. Which like, that’s rough buddy, but eh I mean tradeoff they’re also the only ones who actually get any kind of pleasure from the process? Krangs’ hectocotylus tentacles are numb (and y’know. Not attached to the owners body by that point in the event) so it’s not like the ones donating are having any fun...
—There’s four different kinds of Krang within the species: Makers, Interrogators, Assimilators, and Footsoldiers, all categorized by the unique abilities they do or don’t have.
Makers are known for their ability to infuse the essence/power of the Krang into things. Think the flawless synchronization the three Krang we see have with their mechsuits, or hell – the Dark Armor. All made by maker-Krang.
Interrogators are characterized by their ability to literally burrow into people’s minds to collect information. We all saw how that worked.
Assimilators are the ones capturing things in meat vines and turning them into mindless zombies for the Krang cause. They differ from Makers in that, while their control is fairly superficial, all things considered, they can take control of near anything. It’s ultimately irrelevant whether they're controlling a living person or an inanimate object (like a friggin train, as we saw in the movie), but their powers are noticeably more effective on living organisms. Makers, though their connection/control of what they infuse Krang energy to is close to absolute, can only do this with nonliving items. Which then drain the lifeforce/essence/souls of any non-Krang lifeforms who were unfortunate/stupid enough to try to control them.
Footsoldiers are defined by the fact that they don’t have any special abilities. Two’s a Footsoldier, and this is actually why she’s so fuckin feral with “no character development.” It was either prove she was strong by constantly being the craziest motherfucker in the room, or slip down to the bottom of the barrel.
—Despite what you might think based on the clear lines being drawn amongst “types,” there’s no caste system in place. They value strength above all else, which could come from any type. (It’s just that unfortunately for Two, it’s a lot harder for Footsoldiers to prove their strength than the other three.)
—It’s not uncommon for Krang to keep “pets” of some of the species they assimilate. They can grow just as attached to their pets as they would towards any of their siblings/defaults, it’s just that unfortunately everything said pet used to be before getting Krangified tends to get wiped clean. If Leo hadn’t shown up to rescue him, Raph had been on his way to becoming Uno’s new pet.
—Two words: Environmental mimicry.
Prior to being infected by the Krang parasite, utrom were an aquatic species (amphibious technically, but semantics). They had a number of things in common with a variety of earthen cephalopods, octopi in particular. Octopi are really, really good at blending in with their environments, and can do everything from changing color to changing their texture. Utrom had a similar ability. Not so much to blend in with their physical environments, granted (though they could do that too), but blending in with other species. In short, they can shapeshift without a cloaking brooch.
This is very much a forgotten skill amongst the Krang, or at the very least no living Krang knows of it. Which, yeah, sample size of three, but the point stands. Krang are infinitely more aggressive than utrom were, and as such tend to (literally) tackle problems/adversaries head-on. They’ve had no need to disguise themselves for millennia, so over the years they collectively forgot they even could. Still, it remains something within the scope of their abilities, even if they never make use of it.
—Krang secrete mucus when stressed. Leo refers to the Krang as “slimeballs” in the movie, they're not actually all that slimy. Because looking at it from a biological standpoint, the reason why creatures are “slimy” (think amphibians and worms), is because their skin needs to be wet for them to absorb oxygen. The Krang, being aliens, might not even need oxygen, or if they do I question whether they’d process it the same as earth creatures. So there wouldn’t really be a need for them to be slimy 24/7. Instead, it's reserved for situations where they're in some form of distress. It makes them more difficult to grab in a potentially deadly situation, see, since Krang are most likely to feel stressed when faced with someone stronger who has murder on their mind.
#copy-pasting from my convos with Wig again#I come up with all my best shit talking to her what can I say#might share some more character-specific thoughts later if I can be bothered/people are interested#but in the meantime have this#rottmnt#muttering about turtles#krangcanons#krang rottmnt

TMNT 2036
Partners In Slime
TMNT 2036 is my own incarnation of TMNT. I chose 2036 as the distance between 2036 and 2012 is roughly the same as the distance between 2012 and 1987.
Now we get to talk about TMNT's second most iconic villain. But first, we have to talk about a highly respected one.
Ch'rell
The history of Dimension X is long and complicated. So I shall just keep it to the basics for now.
Dimension X is a separate plane of existence concurrent to normal reality. It was originally a purple-pink void before the Utroms found it. After some experimentation, they discovered that the dimension could be used to quickly travel long distances (like the Nether World in Minecraft). Thus, intradimensional travel was invented, which allowed never before seen exploration and discovery. Soon, the tech needed for intradimensional travel spread across the cosmos. In response, the Utrom began building bases and cities in Dimension X, and therefore gained substantial control over all interdimensional travel, lest someone use it for nefarious deeds. Eventually, a species known as the Neutrinos approached the Utrom, asking for sanctuary within Dimension X. The Utrom agreed, and the two species monitored Dimension X in unity. Much later, the Triceratons (after their own civil wars over their own fast travel technology) sought to join the Utrom and Neutrinos. The two species agreed, letting the Triceratons in. Together, the three species formed the X-Triad. A governing body that ruled Dimension X and watched over all intra-dimensional travel. The three species ruled in tandem and equality.
But not all were happy with that. Ch’rell, an Utrominon General, believed that only the Utrom should have control over Dimension X. He planned to stage a violent coup, exp’ell the other two species, and then use Dimension X to take over the cosmos.
Fortunately, the war with the X-Triad resulted in Ch’rell losing. However, Ch’rell and (most of) his followers managed to escape. Wherever he is, he’s busy planning his revenge.
Unfortunately for him, there’s one loose end he neglected.
Krang
Recently, I've been playing a lot of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (10/10. Buy the DLC). And it's made me realize we haven't had a truly singular Krang for quite a while (at least on screen. IDW had one). Rise had a group. 2012 had a hive mind. 2003 had Ch'rell. The Micheal Bay movies are kinda derivative. And the Injustice 2 Krang was just a cameo. So for my iteration, I'd like to try a singular Krang again:
Krang always had a passion for building weapons. However, since the Utroms were mainly a pacifist species, his craftsmanship was not appreciated. Especially since his weapons were often sadistic, unethical, and immoral. Krang instead received the respect he desired from Ch’rell.
Krang became the chief scientist and right-hand man to Ch’rell. After Ch'rell went into hiding, Krang was left out to dry. A wanted Utrom fugitive, Krang fled to earth with his pet Kraathatrogon (2012), Milli. Krang's new plan is to lie low until the heat dies down, and then take his revenge on Dimension X.
Of course, being stuck on a planet with such limited technology makes things difficult. Not to mention that Krang needed a cover to avoid any suspicion and investigation.
Currently, he runs the Technodrome, the coolest arcade in NYC, as Craig. Craig bears a resemblance to his 1987 appearance. Bald head, red slides, red cargo shorts, yellow-button up. Krang's true form is a robot body housing him in its stomach with a protective pane of purple glass.
The Technodrome used to be a vehicle. Krang converted into a building once on earth. It still has its iconic eye and cannons sticking out of it though. The Technodrome is loved for its realism and exclusive entertainments. All the arcade cabinets in the Technodrome are unique, as they're all old tracking systems and combat consoles converted, rearranged, and reprogrammed by Krang. Little kids can take a ride on Milli, with parents believing it's a robotic train. Robotic Unicycles (1987) man the prize desk, with some of the prizes being the usual plushes and novelty toys. While some of the higher-end prizes are old weapons that Krang THINKS don't work anymore. For birthday parties, kids can expect a special appearance by Krang the Courageous: an inter-dimensional hero. For this "costume", Krang simply deactivates his Craig hologram disguise. The adults think that Craig merely puts on a robot costume, with a purple TV screen displaying a pink blob on his stomach. For laser tag, Krang converted some old blasters to harmless laser guns. Last and certainly least is concessions, no arcade would be complete without pizza. Unfortunately, the Technodrome’s pizza is disgusting. The only people who have ever liked it were 4 peculiar teenage boys.
Krang is able to power the Technodrome through the ooze milked from Milli. This ooze is a vital power source of Dimension X. Krang uses it to power all of his gadgets and technology, even his suit. And it tastes good too. At least to Utroms. When a creature from earth comes in contact with ooze, it results in rapid DNA degeneration, followed by rapid DNA regeneration. However, the regeneration is not equal. If one has some other kind of DNA on them, then their original DNA will intertwine with the other DNA. Resulting in mutants.
In the beginning, Krang's relation to the turtles is interesting. Once he finds out they are mutants, he's not sure what to do with them. The existence of mutants in the area is proof that Milli (and therefore Krang) are in the area. If the X-Triad Agents hunting him discover the turtles, they could discover him and arrest him. For now, Krang actively helps the turtles hide and blend in. But, he’s already making plans for when that isn’t viable anymore.
I don’t want to get too into specifics now, but I’ll briefly mention some important plotlines.
Krang will confront Ch’rell.
Krang will team up with Saki, and they’ll bicker akin to the 1987 incarnation.
And the biggest plotline is that pretty much every major character will get a job at the Technodrome at some point. This so far includes Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, April, Casey, Splinter, Karai, Saki, and even Bishop. This is all done to reveal that not only is Krang an evil genius with a thirst for revenge, but he’s also kinda a shitty boss.

Operation Name: Hell Blitz
Objective: Operation Hell Blitz is a contingency in place in the event of a Type 4 BI-Class Biological Invasion Scenario.
Procedure: Operation Hell Blitz will be engaged at the first sign of a demonic invasion of Earth or nearby planets. As there have been multiple versions of demon-like entities discovered through our universe’s dimensions, the danger can range from minimal to cataclysmic.
Key Personnel:
Sheldon Katz
MTF Mu-0 (“Maxwell's Demons”)
MTF Tau-5 (“Samsara”)
MTF Beta-777 (“Hecate's Spear”)
Demonic Classes:
Note: This document may be updated if any entities fitting the Foundation’s requirements for demonic classification are discovered. Furthermore, there may be further sub-classes to the demon classes of this document. If you are intrigued, please contact your site's occult professional.
Demon Class 1: The demons of this version of hell are much more intelligent than average, being seen in recovered footage using guns, blades, and other human weaponry. Certain members of this species have already been seen and reported entering our world via a spellbook. When they have entered, as one may guess, nothing good comes from it, often leaving up to dozens dead in their wake.
Entity Class 2: These entities are much more abundant and much more dangerous than those previously mentioned. This is a more obvious alternate dimension that thrives on pain and suffering inflicted on other worlds. Not only is this dimension more dangerous, but it is also more varied in both demon type and environment. Additionally, the risk of being invaded by this hell is increasing as progress is being made by Foundation scientist Samuel Hayden to harness parts of this dimension as an alternate form of energy.
Post-Operation Procedure: If humanity is eradicated, Operation Anti-Death will occur. If the earth is destroyed or left uninhabitable, the protocol for a YM Class Humanity Relocation scenario will be followed.

THE ANIMAL THEORY
The Rick Meta-Parasite Theory is hellbent on how there are so many of these meta-fictional parasites. I attempted a species family tree far back in Part 1. But with new evidence, it’s become outdated. Not to mention I have found other interesting strings of evidence somewhat outside of the main theory. This theory will instead be the groundwork for a new thesis:
Animals are rapidly evolving within the Central Finite Curve due to parasite crossbreeding and now attempt to take over
We’ll start with smaller pieces of evidence and move our way up as always.
‘Morty’s Mindblowers’ shows a purposefully-deleted memory where Morty wishes to hear the thoughts of nearby animals. Despite Rick’s warnings, he is excited to use the device until he later sticks his nose where he wasn’t supposed to. Instead, this leads to Morty finding out that these squirrels are hyper-intelligent and plotting to take over the human world. They’ve been monitoring it very closely and eventually hunt Morty down in massive packs. This leads to Rick only temporarily stunning them. These squirrels were enough to warrant moving to another dimension entirely due to these squirrels. This means they’re a threat on the same level as, say, the incident from Rick Potion #9
This also stems from humans having chemicals and DNA from animals. Everyone remembers that the flu allowed it to be spread, but no one mentions that the various potions contain vole, mantis, koala, rattlesnake, chimpanzee, cactus, golden retriever, shark, and dinosaur DNA all across the board. Animal mentality honing in on Morty led to the abandonment of two dimensions entirely. Although this seems to be a broader connection, the squirrels are still interesting
‘Fear No Mort’ shows that Diane had an interest in animal intelligence and what they were thinking as well. So it seems like Rick’s grandson and wife not only had an interest in this, but Rick was also willing to play with this idea and make technology for it. He seems to have a nack for this type of thing
I could go into stuff like the double-headed goose in one of the intros that caught Rick’s attention and also made him pull out a weapon on it. He seems to know that animals are more formidable than others realize. Or how he ends up replacing Morty with two crows. Or his implied lover and best friend is a bird man. But these are just times that animals were dangerous, we have more
Snakes.
There is an entire planet of snakes out there that we saw in Rattlestar Ricklactica. These snakes are practically on the same level as humans, with there even being a snake Hitler. We saw in the Pissmaster episode that there’s already a council of interplanetary Hitlers who literally make up a whole planet. That means that these branch out and might have either overlapped or are so advanced that they have these connections. The main point is that they’re clearly civilized enough and we don’t entirely know how. So let’s peel this back yet another layer
All the way to the beginning. We know that the earliest life was bacteria, which was growing alongside viruses. I think that within the Central Finite Curve, this led to a gruesome battle that forced these domains to hyper-evolve at a competitive rate. This might not have always been the case. There’s proof of hyper-evolved viruses: Anatomy Park
Rick was VERY insistent on constantly keeping Reuben alive and monitoring him constantly. We see that Rick set up a parody of Jurassic Park that contains viruses that are more beastly than mindless. This is despite how simple viruses are known to be.
Let’s keep in mind how parodies are important in this overarching Rick Meta-Parasite Theory. The fact that RICK is setting up a PARODY park in regards to containing these evolved (you can argue) PARASITES is insane. It alludes to the themes of the theory and just keeps going on. He wanted to study them. He already studied animal thoughts as well and seemed to be disturbed at how they think, while Rick is more fascinated by these evolved beastly viruses. Here’s the meat of the theory:
It’s because he caused this
Or rather, the overall Rick archetype caused it, likely from Rick Prime.
Keep in mind that the Central Finite Curve is all about Rick Prime and what stems from it, every other possible idea that is still revolving around Rick. I proved this back in Part 1 and I think this has horrible consequences. Basic life may be revolving around Rick as well. If Rick is the smartest being, then he’s a lot like the apex predator. I went on in Part 2 about how the conflict of Rick Prime and C-137 is about a parasite and a host. This was also enough to actually change the narrative of OTHER dimensions and fundamentally wrap the Central Finite Curve. So what’s stopping this to also affect the evolutionary chain?
Viruses are the parasites. Bacteria and animals are the hosts. They are trying to be intelligent in response to the shell of a parasite that wants to take over them. The perfect state of this evolution would either be destroying the other or embracing both sides. I’m reminded of Rick Prime’s fight with C-137 where they just pull out more random shit to fight one another, it’s very prominent
The squirrels wanted total control of the planet and showed that this is innate intelligence. Meanwhile, the snakes HAD control of an entire planet like ours. And again, the snake ended up biting MORTY. They keep going after MORTY in these scenarios because they know it’s a quick way to get to him
The Total Rickall parasites wanted Rick dead by manipulating Morty
The fear hole got Morty to jump in first and its spokesperson (don’t know what to call him) decided to get at Rick as well
The squirrels went to Morty first
The scammer aliens were getting through Morty first (not entirely a parasite example but you get the idea by now)
And with Morty’s Mindblowers having so many examples of parasitic instances and now animal intelligence, it’s clear to see that Morty is the root here. He’s a good host to use either way, which is why Rick was experimenting with memory erasure and manipulation with Morty first. That’s also why the narrative of Prime vs C-137 actually continued, just with Morty being the parasite, also explaining how he knows how to manipulate memories and target the mind specifically
That also means that they already know the archetypes of being a host and being a parasite. Parasites aren’t known for their intelligence because they just steal it first. Rick C-137 was the parasite that went after Rick Prime - who is called the smartest mammal
I don’t know if I’d consider Rick to be a species, but we know that Ricks do exist of other species
Enter the fascist dimensions:
I made a theory that the fascist dimensions exist as a result of The Citadel of Ricks trying to rise up again. They wanted Rick C-137 to be taken down and decided to set up their own governments entirely. Rather than representing the council, they used their intelligence to do what exactly?
Take over the world
And while we don’t see all mammals, we see other species of Ricks.
This is where the true theory begins
I think that the fallout of Prime and C-137 fighting has caused animals to evolve at a far faster rate with plans of dominating the world. This is because they’re trying to undo the previous mistakes of both Ricks. Being within the Central Finite Curve causes this accelerated survival of the fittest where intelligence prevails. We see that viruses catch up and can easily bond to however many mutated species there are - that’s how a common disease can just merge with human-animal genes and be just fine. We know that these viruses are already capable of killing a human and tearing down microscopic technology they made
Furthermore, these animals are evolving to have their own Ricks. This might be the peak of the evolutionary chain. They are finally controlling the world after The Citadel split up. Now they can get rid of their main parasite, their main virus. No longer are these hosts going to have to deal with them. We see a shrimp, teddy bear, and wasp Rick. Notably, Wasp Rick doesn’t seem to be in control of anything at all. I said that it’s because their vats for Operation Phoenix (named after an animal, nice) were all being monitored on a limited supply to catch Rick, but he’s fine with not instantly killing Rick. He’s against this Citadel and it’s probably because THIS Wasp Rick was forcibly evolved.
The Citadel and their animal-based societies went on to accelerate the evolution of OTHER species from other dimensions to let them have a Rick they can recruit and help with the cause of taking Rick C-137 down. This also gives new context as to why Wasp Morty was more vulnerable to the ideas of other Morties online!! These forums might be interlinked just like each vat in this new proto-Citadel, meaning that other Morties would ONLY be able to access pro-fascist forums. If Wasp Morty was a recent creation that was forced into this, he doesn’t know the true plan that’s happening. This also means that Rick has to take this mantle and doesn’t want to
Okay, what about the OTHER Wasp Ricks we end up seeing? Of course, we know that no matter what happens in a dimension, there’ll always be iterations of them as proved in Part 1. This just means these are likely other artificial dimensions where THESE Wasp Ricks actually are fascist. The fact that there’s multiple versions is reminiscent of the Ricks that would carry out orders for the Citadel, meaning that there’s more proof that they are reforming another Citadel. With less Ricks (most probably being dead), this is likely why they’re allowing animals to evolve to their final state. Again, Rick studied animal intelligence. He would know that he can just naturally augment their Rick-oriented aspects - domination and intelligence. However, this could just be a side effect of that
The fact that the Wasp Rick and Morty seem more recent (due to being against fascism while Morty is barely being radicalized into it from the fascist dimensional networks) plays into the idea that, if these wasps evolved to this state in this amount of time, they clearly would have been forcibly evolved in a short amount of time. We know Rick has this technology on hand - he was able to make an alarm clock in ‘Night Family’ that hatched an egg, caused the chicken to grow up instantly, and then let it die naturally. Direct proof that these WASPS can do it is the fact that Wasp Rick stings Hologram Rick, causing eggs to spread and INSTANTLY HATCH into other Wasp Ricks. What other proof could you possibly want that these guys are being forced into their perfect state in no time?
Again, the fascist dimensions seem to allow sterilization as a method of dictatorship and total control, which probably includes sterilizing other species entirely so they can’t possibly evolve quicker and overtake these Ricks. It’s a situation of survival of the fittest
Oh, and just one final detail that I found neat and worth mentioning:

@otherworldlyoddities as discussed: Explanation of my "other" species (Space Worms, Brights, and Darlessen) as well as the effects of Eldritch Radiation on third dimensional beings. I would also like to note that Space Worms are pretty well entirely because of HLVRAI G-man, Brights are because of Benrey, and Eldritch Radiation is because of Tommy and by extension Dr. Coomer to explain things. The post below will be broken up into segments. The first one will be about Space Worms, the second about Brights, the third about Darlessen, and the last about Eldritch Radiation.
Space Worms
General Information: Space Worms are fourth dimensional beings that in their true form appear as glowing white Siphonophore like creatures with a single large eye at one end. Adult Space Worms can be as large as Earth's moon balled up. They originate from a space known as The White Void. Young Space Worms are known as Wormlings. Space Worms are created from a primordial soup by a Space Worm known as the Matron Worm. Space Worms exist to be sort of foremen of the universe, ensuring stories go on track, so this they are usually employed by other "other" species or powerful beings. Worms are able to shapeshift, manipulate time, manipulate reality, and teleport, as well as have limited omnipotence. They can also perform and action called "projecting" where they exist in the fourth dimension and project their form onto the third dimension so they don't get injured. Space Worms can get injured but are incredibly hard to kill, though it is possible. They have one natural predator, and they are Brights. Space Worms are naturally curious and willing to explore, some even choosing to not choose a job and strike out on their own though this is not common. Space Worms speak to each other in a series of computer like chirps and body movements known as Wormlish.
Aging: Space Worms are considered adults when reaching 20 "years" (120 full revolutions of the closest planet to their assigned birth star. One revolution is a single Space Worm "month") though they are only considered fully grown once their star supernovas. Since Space Worms have no real sense of time, so these stars are actually completely locked to time manipulation so that the Worms can have a set way to tell their age.
Death and "Retirement": Space Worms are functionally immortal, but can be killed if put through enough stress. Most Space Worms die when consumed by Brights, they are very rarely killed by other species. Space Worms can also choose to "retire", surrendering their form and consciousness back to the primordial soup so they may be remade into a new batch of Wormlings.
The Matron Worm: The Matron Worm is a title given to the Worm in charge of creating new Wormlings. They never leave The White Void, though through osmosis from other Worms they are incredibly knowledgeable. Once they decide to, they train a new Space Worm to become The Matron Worm and "retire".
Wormlings: As previously mentioned, Wormlings are made in batches. They are kept in The White Void and taught to use their powers, and then given to caretakers of different species selected by older Space Worms. Every "month", the Space Worms return to The White Void along with the older Space Worm that gave them to their caretaker to share what they have learned. Wormling are children and they do exhibit traits of that, like exploring with no fear and putting things in the their mouths (hence why Wormlings that live with being with mouths must wear face coverings).
Brights
General Information: Brights are fourth dimensional beings that look like giant white, glowing masses of tentacles with an eye of each side of their main body, and an eye at the tip of each side of their giant squid like beaks. They tend to grow to be about the size of Jupiter. They are capable of both shapeshifting and body snatching. They feed off the energy of other species, particularly Space Worms as their energies are the most similar and fuels them more. Brights tend to be hunters, but they can also in a pinch act as a parasite instead and siphon energy from the beings of a planet, or even from an entire universe if the Bright is powerful enough. Bright children bud off of the parent Bright like a sponge. Brights can also manipulate time and reality, as well as "project". Brights have no particular place of origin. Brights also speak to each other in a colour code known as "Sweet Voice", which are series of coloured balls.
Aging: Brights do not have the same way of telling time as Space Worms do. They mostly just ballpark their ages and when they are fully grown.
Feeding Habits: Brights mostly tend to just ingest their prey, but they are also able to feed off ambient energy from living beings. This process is called "farming", and the best way I can describe it is like photosynthesis. They can either gently siphon energy off of the beings, simply slightly lowering the life expectancy of the beings, or fully suck the energy out of a being, leaving them a husk.
Body Snatching: This is a process only used by scared Brights (particularly Bright children), as it is very uncomfortable for the Bright as they are not used to the body they are using. They use an energy depleted husk as a sort of disguise, literally climbing inside of it.
Bright Children: Bright children are usually left to fend for themselves, using their instincts to get their own food. Not much to say here actually. Little fun fact: There are two know Space Worms with Bright children!
Darlessen
General Information: Darlessen are beings of pure good made from the collected consciousness of people who were caring in their lives. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, though they are all humanoid. If they were an animal or associated with an animal in life they become and animal in their Darlessen form, if they were human adjacent they are human adjacent ect. Darlessen are caretakers, existing to make others happy as that is what makes them happy. They are not fourth dimensional beings like the others, but they exist in a space between realities known as The Care Center. They are capable of stopping time and teleportation, as well as having non mind breaking omnipotence. Most Darlessen bring their patients back to The Care Center to help them, but some will just stay with the person in their world. Darlessen usually specialize in particular fields, like childhood trauma, medical issues or disabilities, or lonliness. (This of course is not all. If you have a problem, there is a Darlessen to help.) Since they are made from other people's consciousnesses, the child Darlessen are literal children and will never not be children. They are also allowed to "retire". Darlessen speak to each other in a sweet babble known as Sing Song.
Eldritch Radiation
General Information: Eldritch Radiation is the general term for any odd effects from being around any type of "other" being, not just the ones written here. For the effects of Eldritch Radiation to show you need to be around an "other" species for literal years, and even then the effects can be as minor as being able to speak the language the being can speak or simply be immune to what these "other" beings can do. If you were, say, raised by or alongside an "other" species you may be able to teleport or be able to shapeshift minorly.
Anyways that was as in depth as I can do into now. I hope you enjoy and were enlightened. Go well dear bumble of Stardust.

Sense I'm starting to work on the "Space Time Continuum" au as of now(and posting the work on the alt that I reblogged about in my last post), here's what each species' "themes" are supposed to be.
Robloxian: Science themed, with each one being some kind of scientist unless there's something else that dictates otherwise. Like Wiscara being able to teleport giving her a wormhole theme, Artrist using cloud magic which gives him a nebula theme, or Tess Aract with his connections to immortals like Scriptless and Duskkar making making him more of a scholar than a scientist technically and into the opposite of Scriptless.
Torchkins: Meteor and/or shooting star themed, because fire.
Harmonians:Time/clock themed, usually having a clock(like Base Cleph's shattered right eye) or some kind of device that's used for time(like the metronome Sharp and Flat have on their back and chest respectfully), somewhere on their body. Unless they're a fallen harmonian, which they are scientist themed, since the space theme and time theme cancels each I out.
Crevons:Spaced themed. More specifically they can be planets, stars(not dying stars)/consolations/zodiac signs(for example Discord being Aries and Chortus & Lestro being Pisces), galaxies/solar systems (like Tretone and the planets that are in the hole of his core and what orbits around him), and moons.
Cumulus: Nebula/Nebula cloud themed
Eyeclops(/Eyeheads): dimension themed. With the ability to switch between the dimensions 0D to 4D, being pretty much invisible in both 0D and 4D. With some prefering one dimension over the other. Basically inspired by how we as humans with our naked eyes can see from 1D to 3D, and how some people prefer 2D over 3D or 3D over 2D
Pumpkinheads: big bang themed. Having their heads and bodies cracked due to the universes in them constantly expanding and compressing.
Eggheads: dying star/super nova themed. Similar to pumpkinheads, Eggheads are cracked due to them turning from red super giants to super novas randomly. Especially during extreme emotions.
(and since I am using OCs and a fan subspecies of mine for this au[like most aus of mine, because I personally feel like more named characters makes a world feel more full and alive, not to mention funner, to me even if some or most of the named characters aren't used that much] I'll add my fan species)
Paintionians: Dark matter themed. Having dark matter instead of paint on their brush head hair and sporting a mostly grey scale/desaturated color palette similar to a Harmonian. Big dripping-up pure black eyes are a staple in this version of this species.

some information about my spidersona cause i've been working on this all day:
he's inspired by arachnauts (the term for spiders in space)
their design is based off of the golden silk orb-weaver, one of the spider species to board the ISS
like the spider, void is able to change the color of his webs to blend in better with cosmos surroundings
his mask has eight eyes, and they themself have extra eyes. despite this voids vision isn't the best and cosmo relies on other senses for the majority of his battles
speaking of battles, he doesn't tend to fight the enemies! they aren't much of a fighter, and instead ensnare villains in webs. if the situation calls for an actual fight, he uses this to weaken/trap their enemies before fighting them
his universe is one set in deep space, and because of this it's mostly low/no gravity. some of the villains are actually monsters that were created in the pits of the "void", while others are villains that use technology to their advantage
cosmo uses webs to keep themself tethered, similar to astronauts using tethers while exploring deep space!
they wear their friend's hoodie over their space/superhero suit! it's a comfort item for void
