Day 1

Shortly after moving in, we were greeted by one of our neighbors, a Caleb Vatore. He seemed nice enough, and Emily certainly likes him. I'm just not to sure about him quite yet...

forgot to update everyone on my broken sims 4 game which is having the funniest time right now:

jeremiah somehow got pregnant. on that note a lot of characters who shouldn't be getting pregnant are (like elder sims and sims who are explicitly checked as unable to get pregnant) and are also marrying (brytanni choi had a kid, judith ward had a kid AND got married)

jeremiah had a successful delivery though awww, theo is precious

lilith vatore also won't stop having babies she's had like 6 but i keep deleting them so she's only got three of them (she named the eldest garrett so when she had fraternal twins i renamed them bethany and carver)

atticus also had a baby! i named him finch in honor of the dnd game where atticus and finch are best friends

I stopped getting the constant MCCC Last Exception error but then my faces stopped loading in so all my newly generated townies had no face

all of them also have the exact same body shape so they're all very fat which im ngl as a fat person? im not mad i like it we're a world of soft marshmallow people and everyone finds each other hot <3

one of my sims (yes it was atticus) who has never met another of my sims (yes it was jeremiah) texted him to say 'i heard you took an IQ test and failed' and all my sim could say was 'ok' like maybe atticus was right

i have so many CC eyes that when i click on eyes to change eye color my CAS slows down so i have to let my sims have the plain default eyes until the very end <3

people won't stop calling my cats about freelancer gigs

sims won't stop greeting each other with makeout sessions and when they're being ignored in a conversation they just start doing pushups

Let’s talk about this update.

After I planned things out as usual, I realized I would run into a problem with the NPCs, so I had to rewrite a few of my plans. Then came the problem of everyone losing their NPC jobs once I aged them up and changed them around. Luckily, the NPCC mod came in handy! But I *still* faced problems with the game deleting those sims and generating new ones. And THEN just when I think I have that under control, I go to check on the other families and find out they ALL lost their relationships because I forgot to change my MCCC setting to No Culling.

But it seems like everything worked out? I hope...

Anyway, onto the notes!

✨I wanted Cecilia to kind of be reminiscent of Snow White! I got about as far as her hair before I gave up. I wanted to at least give her the blue and yellow theme, but her favorite color is Pink, so I just stuck with that.

✨Gavin Pinkerton is from the Sims 3! He came with the Pets Expansion and lived in Appaloosa Plains. Same type of backstory and all.

✨Theodore is actually a clone of Thomas and I just tweaked a few of his features ever-so-lightly. They would look very much alike if Theo had brown hair and light eyes. It looks like Rahmi has a type! Or maybe something else is going on here...?

✨Juniper is on the list of favorite sims I’ve made! She’s really just this lonely girl living in the forest after she lost her family. She’s run into a few people who happened to be wandering around, but other than that she doesn’t know anyone. She was designed to have some fairy or elf-like qualities. Also, she never wears shoes.

✨Yes, I did attach Agnes to the Goth’s family tree. I would have kept them separate if she didn’t hint at the connection in-game herself. As the elderly Mortimer Goth’s aunt, she should probably be dead by now. (Agatha is also part of the family tree.)

✨We now have 2 Scott families (thanks, EA)! The Willow Creek Scott Family and the Henford-on-Bagley Scott Family. I’ll figure out a way to separate them so they don’t clog up each other’s tags. Speaking of sharing names, there’s now Cecilia Murphy/Cecilia Kang, Sara Scott/Sera Duke, and Gavin Richards/Gavin Pinkerton to go along with our Lilith Pleasant/Lilith Vatore, Alice Spencer-Kim/Alice Martin, and Morgan Munch/Morgyn Ember. Sharing names is a pet peeve of mine, lol.

If it’s ‘***’ that means I forgot and the game culled them from the family tree. It’s hard to remember the dads who were random townies :(
