Theo stopped as he saw Rebekah. Melissa glanced at him and hurried to talk to the nurse heading into your room while Lydia and Malia stood awkwardly behind Theo. he hurried over to Rebekah who blinked tearfully as if she was in shock.

“I… I don’t understand. That giant beast. We killed it. Then. She was on her way home and…” Rebekah let out a sob and covered her mouth. Theo hugged her tightly while Lyda hurried to gather Rebekah’s things. It was obvious she’d been there for a while. “Maybe you need a break.” Lydia offered. Theo nodded slowly. “I’ll stay.” Was all he could get out. She let out a shaky sigh and eyed Lydia before nodding. “I’ll stay too. In case anything happens.” Malia said when there was an awkward silence. Rebekah hurried out while Lydia followed. She gave Malia a gesture that she intended to say, comfort Theo but judging from the look on Malia’s face as Lydia got into the lift, she hadn’t understood. Rebekah got off the lift and before Lydia could step out she was gone. Something wasn’t sitting right with her and she stopped, looking around. Rebekah continued out of the car park, running as fast as she could back to where the fight was earlier in the evening. Elijah and Klaus were already finishing up. They had managed to disguise most of what happened as wild animals. “Rebekah?” Elijah said as he spotted her. “You need to go to the hospital.” She said to Klaus, ignoring Elijah who watched carefully. “Why?” Klaus asked and she sighed slowly, glancing at Elijah who realised what she was going to ask. Before he could remind her that you didn’t want it she spoke, firmly. “I need you to turn (Y/N). I don’t know if she’s going to make it.” Rebekah said. Elijah moved closer but she turned on him, fangs bared. Klaus paused for a moment and watched them both before vanishing into the night. “You know…” Elijah started. “I know exactly what any of us would do for someone that we love.” She said forcefully. Elijah watched her carefully and realised that she would do whatever it took to keep him from interfering and sighed. He wouldn’t be able to stop this. But he could certainly prepare for your transition and make it more comfortable.

Klaus entered the car park beneath the hospital. He could smell the banshee and hear her calling for Rebekah. He almost made it to the top of the stairwell onto your floor when he came across Theo. he was waiting. “Rebekah…” Klaus started, his attitude cold and annoyed. He could make many wrongs right by doing this for her. He didn’t want to live with her through the heartbreak losing you would bring either. “Rebekah knows (Y/N) doesn’t want this… that isn’t why I’m here.” Theo said slowly. Klaus sighed and looked him up and down before nodding slowly, waiting for an explanation. “I need you to turn me too.” Klaus stared at Theo for a few moments before moving forwards. He didn’t flinch at all when Klaus was suddenly so close his body tingled. The kind of tingle you got when a predator was too close for comfort. He held his ground. “You’re sure you want that?” Klaus asked curiously. “Yes. This is the last time I’m not going to be able to protect (Y/N).” Theo said firmly. Klaus tilted his head in amusement. There was no way Theo could have done anything at all. No one could have. Shy of perhaps the Bennett witch and she would have had to know the car crash was going to happen. “If I turn her too… she won't need you to protect her.” Klaus said coldly. Theo stayed frozen to the spot, firm, unmoving and blocking the door he needed to sneak past the banshee and her ever-present coyote. “Fine.” growled out. Perhaps having the boy sired to him would be useful Klaus thought to himself as he bit his wrist and held it out. Klaus left his limp body in the stairwell and continued forward. He could hear the banshee finding him and calling for help. Slipping into your room he could smell his sister. She had been with you since the accident. He smiled at the nurse. She always made him nervous and he could never remember her name. “Melissa.” She said as if she could hear his thoughts. He nodded firmly and glanced out of the door. “There’s some commotion out there. Something about Theo. He’s probably having one of his angry fits.” Klaus said quickly. He was surprised by how worried the woman looked before she got up and left, rushing to see what was wrong. It was all far too easy to get to you. Though if Rebekah had been against him turning you he had no doubt it would take a great deal more work on his part. The rest was easy. A few drops of blood past your lips and a careful eye on the machines that beeped around you. Once he was sure the blood was doing its work, he simply unplugged the machine. As soon as he did he felt something change. A few minutes later a red blur of anger rushed into the room as the banshee hurled herself at him. Klaus fled and decided it would be best to hide out until the group had settled down. “Rebekah shouldn’t have asked you.” Elijah said. He was waiting outside of the hospital, leaning against his car. “You could have intervened.” Klaus pointed out. Elijah sighed and looked up at the room he was listening to. They were hurrying to try and save you. It was far too late for you… or Theo. “Where is our dear sister?” Klaus asked as they got in the car. “With your daughter so she had an alibi.” Elijah answered firmly. Klaus chuckled, sitting back in his seat as he shook his head. “Of course. I am to take the blame for all this.” Klaus answered firmly. “You put (Y/N) in danger in the first place. You called, had her drive wherever she was going. For all I know you were in the car that hit her. Besides, You deserve to take the blame for something.” Elijah glanced at Klaus who couldn’t quite tell if his brother was joking so stayed silent. The wolves wouldn’t be happy. But he had done what Rebekah and Theo asked.

hello my darling angels! i have started a writing challenge because i want to read more of what you write. i’m calling this a challenge because that’s what i’ve read others call it? rules are listed below! all submissions will be read by yours truly and (if they follow the p basic rules) i will post them all on a masterlist! i will reblog them and give you feedback because that’s what should happen regardless and also i love you guys! (gif not mine!)

rules

*no rape/incest/underage sex/etc.

*if you choose to write smut, you must be 18+!!! the characters you’re writing for must be 18+!!

*must be character x reader! you can write for multiple characters, but it still must be a reader insert!

*it’s first come first serve for characters, meaning there are character limits. multiple people can write for the same character, but they are capped. so please message me as soon as you see a character you want to write for!

*only one prompt per fic! (bonus points if you use any of my original prompts lol!) (also prompts can only be used once)

*triggers must be tagged. if there are any triggers in your fic, you must have a trigger warning. i cannot emphasize this enough.

*fic should be at least 500 words, if it’s longer (which please make it as long as you’d like!) you have to add a ‘read more’

*must tag me in the fic and use # urwarriorangelwritingchallenge <3

*fic should be a new original, not an old piece being resubmitted or a part of an already existing series. (you can write a series for this challenge if you’d like!)

The meal started awkwardly. Rebekah sat at one end of the table while Theo sat opposite. You sat between them feeling a little uncomfortable as you tried to make polite conversation. Everything seemed to lead to an argument until it came to the bad guys they had to deal with over the years.

After that, the dinner was a lot easier to go through, since they’d broken the ice. There still seemed to be a bit of tension as you realised the conversion was still competitive. Rebekah won apparently as she managed to pay before Theo. Deciding to distract from the argument over who should have paid you brought up getting a taxi.

You smiled to yourself as you waved to Theo and Rebekah as you left the restaurant. They’d started to bicker about who would get to give you a ride home so you thought that it would be better if you walked. It wasn’t far.

You screamed when you licked the front door and flipped on the living room switch to see everyone waiting in the living room.

“What is wrong with all of you?!” You yelped.

“Oh. Well, Lydia was waiting to see how your date went with Theo and an ancient vampire. Bonnie stopped by to see Malia and Stiles made Bonnie jump which made the lights turn off… which was why we were in the dark.” Scott explained. You huffed and sighed.

“I’m going up to my room to call someone…” You said as you frowned at the group who were still adjusting to the light. 

“You dates?” Lydia asked teasingly. 

“You know what we had a lovely dinner. So… enough said.” You started to leave and then turned back to add. "Also I made out with them." Before hurrying upstairs to your room.

Rebekah hummed to herself as she hung up decorations around the house. She knew that Elijah would go around later and reorganise them but for now, she got to decorate how she liked. It was rather relaxing. 

At least it was until she heard a yell. Hurrying inside she found you both in the dining room where she left you. She’d left you to make a few holiday decorations to be added to the tree at Hayley’s house. Hope had asked everyone to make a few for the tree. Rebekah had even written out instructions and really didn’t think that it would be hard for the two of you to follow them. 

Entering the dining room her mouth fell open. The entire room was covered in glitter. Not just a thin layer but at least an inch of glitter covered everything, including you and Theo.

“What the hell happened in here!” Rebekah asked, still in a state of shock.

"Theo covered me in glitter while we were making christmas decorations so I put them in a time-out until I’m not mad anymore." You answered. She looked over Theo who was slightly less covered in glitter and looked as if he was being shoved into the corner by an invisible force.

“Firstly let him go. The two of you need to clean this up. If Elijah sees this his head will explode.” Rebekah said. As she spoke Kol happened to be passing by. He double-took and came back to the doorway before bursting into laughter and walking away. You could hear him laughing as he hurried away, no doubt quick to get away before he had to help clean up. Rebekah left and fetched the broom and the dustpan and brush from the kitchen and dumped them just outside the door before going to get the hoover and the small hand-held hoover that Elijah swore would one day have use despite everyone else telling him he was wrong. 

“Don’t think for a second I’m going to help the two of you clean up this mess.” She said firmly. Though after an hour of you two getting almost nowhere she took to standing in the doorway and directing to make sure that you didn’t get distracted.

Rebekah answered the phone on the second ring. “Theo! Where have you been? You know you’re late don’t you?” She snapped as soon as she put the phone to her ear. 

“Look, don't be upset.” Theo said. She could hear that he was driving and there was some kind of yowling in the background.

"(Y/N) has been turned into a cat. I don’t know how." Theo said reluctantly. 

“What. Do. You. Mean.” Rebekah said slowly. Theo could picture her getting ready for the Halloween party later that evening. Her face was tight with a frown while she pinched the bridge of her nose.

“Urm well. I was with (Y/N). Then we got separated. Then she was a cat.” Theo explained. 

“Right. This is exactly what we need. This is going to make us even later and Elijah’s already making jokes about us not wanting to come. I’m going to go and find someone to help and you need to get here.” Rebekah hung up . Looking in the mirror she sighed. Her hair was fixed but she still hadn’t finished getting dressed.

It took Theo half an hour to get to the Mikaelson house. Rebekah was dressed and ready for the party. She paced the halls while Kol and Davina waited, they were also ready for the part.

“Sister, is it really necessary for us to wait? Elijah’s punch is going to run out.” Kol complained. 

“I’m not having (Y/N) going around as a cat. Someone at this part will step on her.” Rebekah grumbled.

“Ah yes. A very normal thing to be concerned about.” Kol muttered. Theo hurried into the building and opened his jacket to reveal you, furiously frowning and swishing your tail. Davina cooed as she took you from Theo and looked you over.

“Well. I think maybe Freya and I could reverse it.” Davina muttered as she and Kol took you to Freya.

“There’s a seat upstairs for you.” Rebekah said and shooed Theo off upstairs.

“You’re not more worried about (Y/N)?” He asked and she sighed.

“Of course but the witches will fix it.” Rebekah said with certainty.

That certainty vanished an hour later when Freya approached Rebekah and Theo. “We have a slight problem.” 

Klaus loudly excused Rebekah and motioned for her to leave while Elijah kept a suspicious gaze on the party guests. He was certain that there were more guests that he’d invited. 

“What happened?” Rebekah asked as she and The hurried after Freya to a side room. 

“Well (Y/N) is human again. For now.” Freya said. Rebekah hurried to embrace you while Theo bristled.

“For now?” He pressed.

“The spell had a urm… complication. If we removed it, it put another one on (Y/N). Unless you find the witch that put the spell on (Y/N). They urm…” Davina trailed off and glanced at Freya who was busy fiddling with a spell bowl in front of her.

“(Y/N) is a werecat!” Kol said with an excited tone and a matching look on his face.

“What!” Rebekah shouted.

“We have an issue.” Elijah said as he joined the group.

“No kidding.” Theo muttered.

“Can I get something to eat?” You muttered and everyone turned to you. “What? Being turned into a cat made me hungry.”

“A witch is here to see (Y/N).” Elijah muttered to Rebekah who nodded and stormed off. Theo hurried after her to make sure things didn’t get out of hand.

The French Quarter had been a flurry of activity. The Mikaelsons, covering for Klaus’ most recent outburst. You’d helped build several stalls and move seats around. At one end of the Quarter, a large stage had been assembled. 

Towards the beginning of the festival, all that was left to do was hang up some decorations. Now that you weren’t going back and forth you could feel the cold. You hadn’t noticed before but now it made your hands burn and your skin sting with cold as it sunk in and made your hands ache. “Hey! There you are. Did you get something for lunch? Rebekah asked me to check.” Theo said as he hurried over to you.

“Oh. No. We were really busy. I didn’t have time to stop.” You muttered. Theo frowned as he watched you rub your hands together and breathe on them.

"Come here. I bet you can fit in my coat with me and it’ll warm you up." He muttered. You found yourself pulled close and warped up in Theo’s winter coat. You immediately felt warmer and leaned in as close as you could. Realising that you were both in the way, Theo slowly shuffled you both off to one side. You stayed like that for a few moments until Rebekah came looking for you.

“What’re you two doing? There’ll be time for that later. We still have so much to do!” Rebekah insisted. You gave her a dubious look, able to see that her clipboard only had three tasks left and that there were dozens of other people who could help.

“(Y/N) was cold!” Theo answered quickly. Rebekah looked at him, then slowly at you and sighed.

“You forgot your coat, didn’t you? I specifically told you at breakfast not to forget it because you’d get cold.” Rebekah came over and put her hand on your forehead. “You’re going to get a cold and be dreadfully grumpy for weeks while you get over it.” 

“You’re old enough to know that isn’t how you catch a cold.” You muttered as you tried to hide from her cold hand on your forehead by burrowing further into Theo’s coat.

“Well, it won't help. Come on we’re going to get you something hot to eat and a warm drink. I’ll send Kol to get you a coat.” Rebekah said with a sharp snap of her fingers when you didn’t follow after her. Theo lifted you slightly so that you could both shuffle after her in your warm bundle. Rebekah rolled her eyes but led the way to a heated seating area and soon had a warm coat as well as a hat and scarf set for you. By the time your food and drink were ready the first act on the stage was starting so you all sat together, joined by Freya and Hayley halfway through.

Theo hurried in through a side door and you hung up your phone. “Where were you? I’ve been trying to call for ages! You know that she’s upset right?” You hissed at him.

“Something came up.” Theo muttered. He pulled off his coat and hat as Rebekah came around the corner. Everyone was in costume. Old fashioned to match the theme of Elijah’s party  Elijah was throwing a festive Halloween party and had sent everyone costumes.

“You know you’re two hours late? Elijah had to allow Klaus and Kol to entertain the guests while he had dinner delayed.” Rebekah scolded. You stepped back and let them bucker for a while as Theo explained that it really had been an emergency.

“If you two are quite done, dinner has been ready for a while.” Elijah said as he hurried into the side hall that Theo had snuck in through. He paused and stared at Theo for a moment before sighing. “There’s a spare costume upstairs. We can wait for you a moment longer.”

“Ok. You’re all acting as if I didn’t just fight a giant child-snatching creature with my bare hands. Why do I need to change?” he asked as Elijah hurried away to speak with a few guests. Hope passed by and waved at the three of you before being swept into the dining room by Freya who was saying something quietly to Davina about Elijah’s fussing.

"Clothes make a statement. Costumes tell a story." Rebekah said simply.

“Ugh. Fine. I’ll go and get changed.” Theo relented and hurried upstairs. The side door opened and Liam stepped in. He froze and stared at you and Rebekah.

“Um. We just fought a big monster and Theo said we could come for dinner.” Liam said quietly. The door opened again and several people hurried in. The pack and all in their own costumes that certainly didn’t match Elijah and Freya’s meticulous theme design.

“Sorry. We can go…” Scott muttered. Liam started to laugh when Theo came down in the costume that had been laid out for him.

“No, no. Elijah loves a challenge. You look dashing Theo. Come on.” Rebekah led the way into the dining room and chairs were quickly added around the table.

Rebekah stopped in the doorway as she saw Elijah leaving. “Brother. You wouldn’t happen to know why I am dateless at the holiday party would you?” She asked as he paused on his way out to meet everyone else.

“I’m afraid I can’t answer that. Though I think they’re still inside if you wanted to hurry them along.” Elijah said and smiled as Rebekah nodded and hurried inside. When she spotted Theo in the kitchen she hurried in, hands on her hips.

“You know that you’re late to…” Rebekah said until Theo interrupted.

“Didn’t you get my message? Did you bring the stuff?” He asked as he stirred honey into a warm drink.

“What message?” She asked. She was worried now and dropped the issue of being late to the party, hoping Theo would elaborate.

"(Y/N) caught a cold and I’m going to take care of them." Theo answered. Rebekah let out a soft sigh as he led the way to your room. You were laying in bed, glassy-eyed and sniffly. Hurrying to sit next to you Rebekah felt your forehead and helped you sit up while Theo held out the drink for you to take. They spent a while fussing over you before Rebekah left to go and get the list of things Theo thought you’d need. When she came back she bumped into Freya who had gotten your usual orders at the restaurant the family had planned to meet at and had it boxed up so that the three of you wouldn’t miss out. You had fallen asleep by the time she had gotten back. But the next evening you woke up looking much better, having managed to wake up long enough to take some medicine and have a drink. You finished the leftovers then and even though you felt a lot better neither Theo or Rebekah would let you get up, insisting that you stay in bed for a few more days.

“We need to talk.” Elijah said. You had taken him to one side and asked him to help you tell Theo and Rebekah something important. Klaus had decided to also sit in but out of pure amusement. 

He had made it clear he had no intention of helping.

“Why?” Rebekah asked. She had been out with Theo most of the morning. You had been preparing to talk to them and had taken advantage of Elijah asking for a favour. You had quickly jumped on the opportunity and once you explained to him what was happening, your situation took priority. Klaus had been close enough to overhear. 

“Because we do.” You answered and she eyed you carefully before taking a seat. Theo followed and sat next to her. You turned to look at Elijah who kindly smiled and gestured to you to start talking. You weren’t exactly sure how to start.

"I did a pregnancy test." You said quickly. There was silence in the room. Only disturbed by Klaus shuffling in his feet to get a better look as he watched the confused expression on Theo’s face.

“For who?” He asked. Rebekah shot him a look then turned back to you.

“Who do you think? Is everything ok?” Rebekah asked you. When you held up the test she nodded and took it from you.

“Whose is it?” Theo asked as he looked at the test in Rebekah’s hands. Everyone gave him a disapproving look then and he started to turn a little red.

“Excuse me?” You asked and crossed your arms while glaring at him.

“I mean mine or Rebekah’s?” Theo grumbled.

“Wonderful. The lack of education in these new wolves. Brilliant entertainment.” Klaus said with sheer amusement.

“Elijah! Make him go!” You begged as you glanced at Elijah.

“If I could, my dear, believe me, I would.” Elijah said kindly as he squeezed your shoulder. Then he glanced at Klaus. “Perhaps we should give the three of them a few moments alone to deal with this?”

“Very well brother,” Klaus said as he reluctantly followed Elijah out of the room and left the three of you to talk.
