It was only a few days since his father had left Middle Earth, and already Legolas felt like the responsibility, the duty was too much to carry. He had no idea how it would be later today when he would officially be announced as the new King. King Thranduil, that had sounded well … it was more than just a title, it was the name of a great leader. And here he was, going to be King Legolas … and it simply did not have that ring to it. Casting his eyes down, he rested his forehead against the stone forehead of his mother. 

“I am not ready for this … tell me I will wake up and you are both here and I am still just Legolas.”
