Btw for anyone who needs to hear it: thinking that people are reading your mind/your thoughts are being heard by everyone is not normal. It's a symptom of psychosis and could be linked to a psychiatric disorder. This, too, goes with hallucinations.
This may seem like a no-brainer, but to teens who don't know what symptoms look like, they may jog it off for a number of reasons. I did, too, when I was in highschool! As a freshman I was having delusions/hallucinations and I didn't tell anyone because I thought they were cringe and weird. I chalked up my hallucinations to me being "tired". People who have psychosis often don't realize that what they're experiencing IS psychosis. This goes the same with other classmates/friends/loved ones. If someone comes to you with concerning behavior (even if they are joking about it) you should take note of it.
In highschool I remember a kid talking about how he could go into the matrix and he had a whole other world to protect/do missions in. He would also go still for long periods of time randomly. I thought he was weird and didn't think much of it, but those are symptoms of schizophrenia (delusions/catatonia).
I would appreciate it if this got a reblog so it could potentially help those recognize these symptoms in either themselves or others!
I wish I could have seen a post like this when I was younger. Then I could have avoided a lot of hardships and would have gotten treatment a lot sooner
#mental health awareness#i know if i saw a post like this on tumblr when i was a teenager it would have helped me out so bad#there are probably a lot of teenagers (and even adults) out there that dont realize what theyre experiencing#then they can get one step closer to a diagnosis and get treatment#it took 7 years for me to even suspect that i had bipolar disorder#i wish i had realized sooner than later that i was experiencing symptoms so i could have avoided a lot of bad experiences#due to episodes

mini love report — scaramouche
relationship health diagnosis — 50%*
symptom one — deeply insecure
for all his bravado, scaramouche is acutely aware that he's unpleasant to be around. he'd ask if you hit your head recently after hearing your confession. initially, he regarded you with suspicion (and loathing, that's what this churning in his stomach has to be). his beauty has been praised for centuries. traditionally, when his admirers draw closer, they're put off by his brutal honesty. he subjected you to the same treatment. instead of running for the hills like you probably should've, you stuck around. he compared you to a 'cockroach infestation.' very charming.
beneath this veneer of vitriol, he's internally panicking. he's irritable when you're around and wretched when you aren't. his underlings don't know which is worse. he was at a loss when he realized you genuinely weren't bumbling back into his life for his appearance or status. seriously, what is wrong with you? it'd be easier to understand if you had some grand ambition in mind, using him as a means to an end. without this excuse to hide behind, he feels... vulnerable. uncomfortably so.
everything he gets attached to is taken from him. he's forgotten, abandoned, discarded when his worth is found lacking. you could find someone else. someone kind, open, and warm. someone who isn't him. it's terrifying, a thought that makes his skin writhe. especially since, should this premonition come to pass, even he doesn't know what havoc he'd wreak...
symptom two — clingy
once scaramouche likes you, you're his person. not even in a strictly possessive sense (although there's plenty of that), but you're essentially all he's got. he's around more often than he isn't. he insists that without him, your 'stupidity would do you in,' so he considers his hovering a 'necessary evil.' this is for your sake! strictly yours. not his, no, whatever gave you that idea? a bit presumptuous, don't you think?
his habit of acting as your second shadow relates to his aforementioned insecurity. whether he realizes it or not, he's always trying to prove his worth to you. tasks you mentioned dreading will find themselves completed, he'll drag you outdoors if you've been overworking yourself, and he silently sits freshly cooked meals beside you. he once cut vegetables into heart shapes, only to feel so embarrassed, that he diced them into a dusty substance.
symptom three — unconditionally supportive
so long as it doesn't take you away from him, he'll help you accomplish anything you want, good or bad. this is what could come to him most naturally. he loves the thought of you relying on him. it makes him feel wanted, like he's fulfilling a role no one else could in your life. it doesn't have to be material items either. if you're struggling with an issue and come to him for advice, he's noticeably pleased, like a cat that got the cream. you sought him out, you value his input.
he excels at putting together plans and breaking them into doable steps. next-level executive function. you might not want to consult him if you've gotten into a disagreement with a friend, but if you're struggling to know where to get started on a project or goal, he's got you covered. he'll wave off any of your doubt, flicking you on the forehead and grumbling that 'it's doable, just leave it to him.'
primary area of concern
scaramouche views the world from a bitter lens. whereas some try to see the best in others, he sees the worst. this skepticism that's built up over centuries isn't going to disappear overnight. he'll make assumptions about your behavior that aren't necessarily true. he won't come outright and tell you his concerns either, the idea is foreign to him. it ends up falling on you to dispel his misconceptions, which can be an exhausting endeavor.
integrating him into your life proves to be a challenge as well. he can fake a sweet, friendly personality, but he'd only do that for interactions he sees value in. namely, leaving a good impression on your parents/any seniority figure whose approval is meaningful to you. he isn't trying to build a real connection, he just knows it'd be advantageous to win over those who you could you against him. he has no qualms about manipulating them either. he'd do this outside of your purview so you remain none the wiser.
prognosis
it isn't a smooth road. there'll be times where his words cut deep and his involvement in your life feels suffocating. he isn't sure what he's doing and it shows. however, when he extinguishes the light in your eyes, he stills his traitorous tongue. the guilt gnaws at him incessantly. it's a self-fulfilling prophecy on his part — by fearing that he can't make you happy, he's more susceptible to doing just that. should you stick around, this loop isn't destined to repeat forever. his trust in you will build. it's a fragile thing, sown in soil unconducive to growth. be tender in your nourishment and the roots will coil themselves around you.
*the universe has tried (and failed) to wrench you apart (0-20) your friends are praying that you'll break up (21-40) 'well it could/has be worse' bargaining mindset (41-60) a lil messiness as a treat (61-80) pure and wholesome (81-100)
#all that being said. it's still worth it though#mini love reports#scaramouche x reader#genshin impact x reader#scaramouche brainrot#valentines 2024 event

Emergency request! (if possible)
I recently found out I have a severe case of anemia (join the club, right? You seem like a pro at dealing with this for quite some time!) It's not just the symptoms like fatigue that bother me, but rather looking as pale as paper. My coworkers even made comments about it in a funny manner.. Could I request a comforting scenario with Dabi and the reader (she/her) after she learns about her diagnosis?
An otherworldly glow - Dabi x Reader
Synopsis: Dabi, and later Toga, both react to your recent anemia diagnosis A/N: hi, sweetheart! No need to stress over that anemia situation. Feel totally free to slide into my DMs, and I'll be your guide through this. I'll dish out some personalized advice – having a doc on call can't hurt, can it? 😅 Maybe I can actually be helpful for once, ha! 😅
MASTERLIST
You step into the League of Villains' hideout, the dim lighting and familiar surroundings providing a sense of comfort amidst the chaos of your recent diagnosis. As you make your way through the corridors, you're greeted by the sounds of hushed conversations in a distance and the occasional clang of metal.
Entering a common area, you spot Dabi sitting on a worn-out couch, his attention focused on a book. He glances up as you approach, his eyes briefly meeting yours before he closes the book and sets it aside.
"You're back finally," he says, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.
"Yeah, just got back from the doctor's," you reply, offering a tired smile. "Turns out it's quite severe anemia."
Dabi's brow furrows slightly, his concern evident despite his stoic exterior. "Are you alright?"
You nod, taking a seat next to him. "Yeah, I'll manage. It's just been a lot to take in."
He gives a nod of understanding, his gaze softening. "You know, we all have our battles to fight. It's alright to lean on others when you need to. But, of course, don't expect any special or lighter treatment."
You lean back against the couch, appreciating his words. "Thanks, Dabi. It's just… hard sometimes, you know?"
He leans back as well, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "I get it, doll. Sometimes the world throws things at us that we never signed up for. But it's how we face them that truly matters, isn't it?"
As you sit together, the conversation shifts to lighter topics, Dabi sharing a few anecdotes from his own experiences. You find yourself surprisingly at ease, the tension from earlier gradually melting away.
After a while, Dabi glances at you with a small smirk. "You know, you've got that pale complexion going for you. Guess we'll have to call you our resident ghost now."
You can't help but chuckle, giving him a smack on the shoulder. "Oh great, just what I needed the most – a new nickname, Mr Patchwork. It was rude!"
He smirks back, his tone teasing. "Embrace it. Who needs a tan when you've got an otherworldly glow?"
"Oh, seriously, Dabi?!" Yet your laughter fills the air, and you realize that this interaction, though unconventional, has been a source of comfort.
Amidst the lighthearted banter, you hear a mischievous chuckle from behind you. "Well, well, what do we have here?" The voice belongs to no one else but Toga Himiko.
Dabi rolls his eyes, feigning annoyance. "Just what I needed – a company of the weirdo."
Toga ignores his sarcasm and plops down on the couch next to you. "So, what's the diagnosis, cutie? You're not dying on us, are you?"
You chuckle at her bluntness. "No, just severe anemia. Apparently, I've become the resident ghost around here, according to Dabi," you give him a look.
Toga leans in closer with a sly grin, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Hey, you know, I've got this kinda unusual idea to help with your anemia. Have you ever considered… drinking blood?"
You raise an eyebrow. "Wait, seriously?"
Toga nods enthusiastically. "Yeah, think about it – it's like a natural source of iron, right?"
"Oh, wonderful. Now we're not just a villain organisation but we're also giving medical advice. What's next, Toga? Career fucking counseling?" Dabi snorted.
"I'll stick to more conventional methods. Iron supplements and a balanced diet, you know?" You tell her, rubbing your nape.
Toga pouts, crossing her arms playfully. "Well, fine, be boring as Dabi. But just remember, if you change your mind, I'm here with my trusty collection of syringes!"
Dabi lets out an exasperated sigh. "I still can't believe I'm outnumbered by lunatics."

hey queen. i came across the original ATEOTR today. would you say ATEOTR (tragicallyuncreative’s version) is going to sway away from that or include some similar scenes? i thought the way that the track scene was updated was sooo cool.
if it is going to sway though, could you give us a little wrap up from the original? like…is ponyboy okay after that infection…
What a great question! Sorry for the late response, but I'll answer the best I can.
I think it's safe to say that it will sway pretty drastically from the original. Mostly just because my style and detail of writing has improved so much (thankfully) that it's kind of hard not to. For example, we just finished chapter 3 and still have no diagnosis. With the way I have the plot mapped out so far, an official diagnosis won't come until the end of next chapter and there is so much to come before then before treatment is even started, just because I'm being realistic about the diagnostic process and all that takes place prior to beginning treatment. In the original story, everything moved much quicker because I didn't include the proper steps that would occur, such as the bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap, port placement, how difficult it can be to establish care with a pediatric oncologist, etc. I also wasn't big on side plots and doing what I like to do now, which I call "sitting in the scene"- not make it a story based on checkpoints of moving from one scene to the next but rather letting things unfold naturally- lots of descriptions, inner dialogue while in a scene, dialogue between characters- there is so much more than just the bare bones plot happening.
I much prefer it that way, and I hope everyone else does too. I just didn't have the knowledge medically or the maturity to offer insight into all characters and really explore their thoughts and emotions. I didn't feel the story if that makes sense, just wrote out things quickly trying to move to the next big scene. I love to just sit and think now- I have so many headcannons and little anecdotes about my characters that will never make it into my writing but are crucial to why my characters respond to things the way they do and make them real in my head, which helps the writing come naturally.
I will be including some of the same characters from my original story such as the main oncologist, Mrs. Dunthers, Daniel, and Nathan- all who have not yet made appearances. They will be much more fleshed out, not one dimensional characters who appeared for convenience/ plot sake and hopefully not so stereotypical as they were when younger me created them. I'm really excited to explore them more and get to know them as individuals- not just as a means to advancing Pony's story.
I think it's so sweet that you are still invested in the OG story and want to know what happens because in my mind it was so poorly written and unrealistic but I'm flattered. I can certainly share a little about what was going to happen. Pony was going to be just fine after the infection, but would be admitted for several days. His treatment course was going to be long, a traditional course (which for AML, which I believe he had in the OG, is not always the stereotypical 2 years of maintenance that is the golden standard for ALL, which is what is the diagnosis is for the current story). He was certainly going to grow closer with his brothers and gang throughout the process, though there wasn't as much mending to do with he and Darry's relationship in that universe as I plan for in this one. Growing up has given me such insight and love for the character of Darrel that I didn't have before and I am really invested in his journey this time around- he's not as adept at handling everything and doesn't respond to everything as perfectly as he did in the OG- he's human! I also intend to explore a lot with Soda- I have a lot more thoughts on Pony being a somewhat unreliable narrator in the novel and hero-worshipping Soda- in reality he's no saint and has flaws just like everyone else. He and Pony have such a deep bond that it will almost be harder on him than it is on Pony and he's not always going to have the best coping mechanisms. Also, therapy. Lots of therapy. Family and individual therapy is pretty much prescribed for every pediatric cancer family, even in the 60s, and just because the Curtis's aren't a traditionally family doesn't mean they'll escape that. Pony was always going to be okay in the long run, though, coming through his ordeal with new appreciation for his life and his brothers. Nathan was always going to die, I do remember young me was adamant about that. It was kind of going to be a wakeup call/ turning point for Pony realizing how serious his illness was and it was going to scare the shit out of him and send him into a long depression for awhile until he found a note from him (like Johnny left in the novel). It was all very melodramatic and corny but 13/ 14-year-old me thought it was peak 5-star writing lol.
That's enough rambling out of me. In short, hopefully there are enough parallels from the old story for you to enjoy, but this gives me the opportunity to actually show off what I hope is real writing skills/ talent as opposed to "little-kid" writing, as I call it. I really appreciate all the love and engagement and am always happy to answer questions. Feel free to send me asks about this story, Before The Fall (my other chapter story), The Domino Effect (my one shot), or ask me about headcannons- I have so many and would love to share them!

For countless individuals worldwide, grappling with the lingering impacts of COVID-19 months after their initial recovery has become a puzzling reality.
Often referred to as “long COVID,” the condition is marked by an array of recurring symptoms, including chest pain and heart palpitations.
But why do these symptoms persist? Recent research by the University of Queensland (UQ) offers profound insights.
Cardiovascular impact of long COVID Getting to the root of the matter, the University of Queensland-led investigation focused on post-COVID cardiovascular issues. The goal was to understand why chest pain and heart palpitations persist among long COVID sufferers.
“We discovered elevated levels of cytokines, proteins which help control inflammation in the body, in the blood samples of people at about 18 months post-infection with SARS-CoV-2,” said Professor Kirsty Short.
“Lab studies showed these trace-level cytokines had a direct effect on the functionality of cardiomyocytes, the cells of the heart responsible for its pump function.”
Professor Short noted that these particular types of cells are fundamental building blocks for our heart, so damaging them can lead to cardiovascular symptoms.
Until now, the role of chronic inflammation in cardiovascular symptoms had been unclear, particularly in cases where symptoms persisted for over a year after infection.
These findings bring the medical community one step closer to understanding the full extent of COVID-19’s long-term impact on heart health.
Studying long COVID through blood samples To explore the mysteries of long COVID, the team analyzed the blood of 50 participants from across Australia.
This cohort included individuals who had been living with long COVID for over a year, those who had recovered from COVID-19, and individuals who had never been infected by the virus.
A unique technology developed at UQ’s Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) called “immuno-storm chip” nanotechnology, was the tool of choice to investigate trace elevated cytokines. The experts also examined markers linked with cardiac tissue damage.
Although excited about the findings, Professor Short remains cautious. “It’s only early days and these results require validation in additional patient cohorts, including those infected with more recent SARS-CoV-2 strains.”
Professor Short also noted that the study’s focus was primarily on people with cardiovascular symptoms.
Despite the limitations, the research paves the path toward a better understanding of long COVID. It presents comprehensive insights into this complex disease and could potentially enhance diagnosis and treatment options.
A collaborative scientific endeavor The research team included Jane Sinclair, a Ph.D. candidate from UQ’s School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences, Courtney Vedelago from AIBN, and Dr. Feargal J. Ryan of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.
The study represents a collaborative effort by multiple institutes, including UQ’s School of Mathematics and Physics, Institute for Molecular Bioscience, Faculty of Medicine, Mater Health Queensland, Mater Research Institute-UQ, and several other institutions.
COVID’s lasting impact on heart health The findings from the study highlight the importance of understanding the long-term cardiovascular effects of COVID-19, particularly for individuals grappling with symptoms over a year post-infection.
By identifying elevated cytokine levels and their impact on cardiomyocytes, the research opens doors for targeted treatments focused on reducing inflammation to protect heart health in long COVID patients.
“An estimated 65 million people globally suffer from post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), with many experiencing cardiovascular symptoms like chest pain and heart palpitations,” noted the study authors.
Guiding future research While the research team remains cautious about drawing broad conclusions, they acknowledge the study’s potential in guiding future research.
This initial study suggests a need for expanded research across larger and more diverse populations to confirm the findings.
Additionally, future investigations could explore whether specific anti-inflammatory therapies might mitigate the persistent cardiovascular symptoms observed in long COVID patients.
This study marks a pivotal step in understanding long COVID, but it’s only the beginning. By continuing to investigate the role of chronic inflammation, scientists hope to develop clearer diagnostic tools and treatments, ultimately improving the quality of life for those affected by this complex condition.
The study is published in the journal Nature Microbiology. www.nature.com/articles/s41564-024-01838-z

Wait so you have universal health care and also have huge medical bills??? I'm genuinely confused
Anon, you're probably American and you know what, I'm as confused about how American healthcare works and how therefore you guys imagine universal healthcare works as you are, so I'm not going to hold it against you.
But here's how it works in my country:
1. I have a heart disease. I go to a cardiologist in my city. My cardiologist takes one good look at me and says: "I'm sorry, we have nothing to help you here"- (because they lack the medical equipment, educated staff, or, in more cases than not, both). -"Here's reception contact for our state cardiology clinic, please go there."
2. So I go to the state clinic (that is located a fair distance away). They take a closer look at me, and they would treat about 60% cases that come to them, but then will also say "here's your meds and diagnosis but we don't have the equipment or staff to be 100% sure this is what's wrong. Have you considered..."
And then they refer me to a private hospital. Or a private clinic. Regardless, a private doctor, who charges their patients like everyone else does, and that pay goes up in thousands and tens of thousands for diagnostic processing or monitoring alone. And that's where I actually get my treatment. And my bills. Because regardless if you have universal healthcare or not, healthcare industry exists and will continue to exist.
State-funded healthcare (which we call free but it's not actually free, it's just paid for you by the state) will never be able to compete with the private healthcare industry because 1) the state doesn't receive any profit, and in fact only loses money on providing healthcare, 2) the state therefore does only the bare minimum to keep up with the demand, and usually doesn't necessitate enough funding to provide new technology and equipment or training, if any, 3) the medical staff, who have no equipment or training or pay, says "screw this, I'm out" and goes into the private field, where they actually have a shot at having a decent pay and working conditions.
Therefore the universal healthcare institution grows only weaker.
Is it fucked up? Yeah. Does it bring unnecessary suffering to anyone? Also yeah. But if you're any level of smart in this situation you'd just skip the first two steps and immediately go and pay to get treated properly instead of risk wasting PTO, gas and possibly your pre-existing condition flaring up to go through the routine.
And this is also why medical insurance is starting to get traction in my country with universal healthcare, because universal healthcare doesn't mean that you can get all the medical services free of charge but rather that there are options provided for you. No-one ever said these options have to not suck, especially for someone with a chronic condition. Fun!
Still better than the USA though I will admit to that.
#jay rambles about life.txt#jay health tag.txt#jay gets asks.txt#not a representative of every universal healthcare system just my own lmao#and also our insulin is free afaik which is also very important to know#some of my relatives got very lucky with state healthcare. I didn't. therefore I had to pay lol#'what about taxes?' not enough taxpayer money our taxes are pretty mid and either way you go about this problem the solution is gonna suck

Wildest Dreams
‘He said, "Let's get out of this town. Drive out of the city, away from the crowds'
“Ready to go?” Shiro asked as he closed the back of the vehicle.
“Are you going to tell me where we’re going?” Adam kept his arms crossed over his chest. A friendly smile on his face.
Shiro grinned at his boyfriend, taking a couple of steps toward him. “That is classified.”
“You want me to spend our spring break in an unknown location? Are you trying to murder me?” Adam played back, his eyebrows raising in playful suspicion.
Shiro rolled his eyes, “I have told everyone that we are spending break together. Why would I kill my boyfriend of six months during this trip? I would be the number one suspect.”
Adam clicked his tongue, “touché.”
Shiro released a deep laugh. “Okay get in the car we need to go.”
“Okay okay, don’t rush me.” Adam opened the car door. Quickly sliding in.
‘Nothing lasts forever’
---
‘He's so tall and handsome as hell’
Fingers snapped in front of his face. “Adam! Stop ogling your boyfriend. We have work to do.”
He waved his hand to his friend. His eyes not leaving Shiro once. “Skin-tight shirts should be criminalized at the Garrison.”
Shiro was wiping his forehead with a rag. His black shirt clinging to his skin with sweat. Perfect eye candy for Adam.
Shiro met his eyes, sending him a small wave. Adam waved back, his friend groaning as they dragged him out of the training deck. “I know he’s hot but we still have work to do.”
Adam let his collogue drag him. He was hot. How did he manage to score Takashi Shirogane?
---
‘I can see the end as it begins’
“It’s terminal.”
Adam closed his eyes, trying to stop any tears from falling. He wasn’t the one that needed to break down right now. He needed to be there for Shiro.
He took a shaky breath. His heart shattered into a million pieces as he forced the next question out. “How long?”
Shiro sighed. His body curled into himself as he squeezed his hands closed. “Two to five years.”
Anger formed in Adam’s gut. Two to five years is nothing when you want forever with someone. “This is bullshit!” He found himself standing, the room blurring some due to unfallen tears. “Fucking bullshit!”
Shiro looked up at him, his face holding an expression of heartbreak and exhaustion. “Adam.” Even his voice was tired.
Adam found himself pacing. Words spilled from his lips. “Our lives just started! We just graduated what do you mean two to five years?! There's nothing they can do to help? No treatment or medicine?”
“The only medicine they have will simply prolong it. It won’t cure it.”
Adam’s knees hit the floor, sobs threatening to consume him. “This isn’t fair.” His voice broke on the words.
Shiro slowly moved toward him, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. “I know. I know it’s not.”
“You can’t leave Shiro. We still have so much to do.”
“I know,” his voice rumbled in his chest, pulling Adam even closer. “I’ll be here as long as I can.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
---
‘I said, "No one has to know what we do.” His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room. And his voice is a familiar sound.’
Adam stared up at the ceiling, the only sound filling the room was Shiro’s breathing. His fingers trace random shapes on his exposed skin. Trying to memorize every aspect of him. The feel of his skin, the curve of his body. Everything that made up Takashi.
It had been half a year since his diagnosis. Since he was told that he wouldn’t live to thirty. He would be lucky to make twenty-eight.
Adam did his best to remain happy. To move through his everyday life pretending that the love of his life wasn’t on borrowed time. Pretending he wasn’t pissed at whatever sick being or universal thing did this to Shiro.
He knew Shiro saw right through him. But he remained so calm. So collected. He was the one sick and yet he seemed at peace. Adam was envious of his calmness. How he never seem to worry about how many days he had left. That he was content as long as he was with Adam.
Shiro stirred some, lifting his head up. Blinking sleepily at his lover.
Adam smiled at him, running his hand through his hair. “Morning.”
Shiro leaned into his touch. “Morning.”
Adam stared at him a bit longer. His heart filled with a mix of love, admiration, and comfort. Feelings Shiro always brought him. “Will you marry me?”
Shiro's eyes widened, “what?”
Adam repeated himself, his fingers gently playing with the end of his hair.
“Yes,” Shiro grinned, pressing his lips to Adams.
‘Nothing lasts forever.’
---
‘Someday when you leave me I bet these memories follow you around.’
“I’m going. Everyone cleared me. The doctors said I can!” Shiro took a deep breath, trying to keep his anger at bay.
“You could die out there!” Adam raised his voice, not caring who could hear them through the walls.
“I’m going to die here! At least let me do something with the time I have left.”
A tense silence filled the room. Both of their chests rose and fell quickly. Fight after fight had occurred in the last couple of months. Since Shiro put in his application for the Kerberos mission.
But they had never felt like this. Never felt like it was teetering on the edge. The fragile class they surrounded themselves in finally cracked.
“It’s the mission or me. You can’t have both.”
Shiro’s eyes filled with heartbreak, “Adam. You can’t make me choose.” He pleaded. His voice cracked as tears threaten to consume him.
Adam looked at him with sternness, his mind was made up. No matter how much Shiro begged, he wouldn’t change his position. “Pick one.”
Shiro closed his eyes, sucking in a tight breath as a couple of tears slipped down his face. “Please.”
Adam moved, grabbing his bag as he stepped closer to Shiro. A gentle hand cupping his face. “I’ll never forget about you Takashi.”
A small piece of metal was pressed into his hand. Familiar lips pressed against his cheek. Footsteps moved through the room, a door opened, and then silence.
Shiro opened his eyes, looking down at his palm. A ring glared back at him. He allowed his body to crumple, releasing screams he had held in for so long. Allowing himself to break.
---
‘Say you'll see me again even if it's just pretend.’
“Good work Champion,” a Galran threw him into a cell. Closing the door and waking away.
Shiro rested his head against the wall, hugging his knees into his chest. He closed his eyes, focusing on his breathing. Letting his mind wander.
He smiled to himself as an image of Adam filled his mind. The way he smiled at him, how he said his name. The way his face scrunched up when he was stuck on a problem. The spice of his cologne, how he faintly snored when he slept but never admitted it even when Shiro recorded it.
He moved his hand against his chest, gripping the two rings that hung on a string. He was going to get home and see Adam again. He was going to make things right.

Sorry :/
Not really this was spinning in my mind for daysssss
This is also a low-key prequel for my upcoming Adashi fic. That fic will go into more depth with flashbacks and things like that but this does set the tone and stage for how things will start.
This was based on Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift, I don’t own any aspect of the song, all credit goes to their proper creators.

Superman & Lois (Season 3) - Thoughts & Review
Overall, this season was solid. A significant step up from the mess of season 2, but nowhere near the heights of season 1. It tackles some difficult ideas really well, but unfortunately feels somewhat lacking in other areas.
Full spoilers under the cut.
What I Liked
First and foremost, Lois' cancer was incredibly well-handled. This is clearly where most of the effort went for this season, and it shows. They don't shy away from everything that diagnosis and treatment entails, and I appreciate letting those difficult conversations happen -- there are honestly too many to list. As soon as the cancer reveal happened, people were worried that this would rob Lois of her agency, but I found just the opposite to be true. We get to see how this powerhouse of a woman deals with something terrible, and remains herself throughout.
Tyler Hoechlin continues to be pitch perfect as both Clark and Superman. He really is just inspired casting.
Michael Bishop is really solid as Jonathan. I admittedly prefer Elsass, but Bishop had the unenviable task of taking over an established character and made it work pretty well. I also really liked Jonathan's arc at the fire station -- it's a great direction for his character. I wish it had more screentime, or more of a direct tie-in to the plot, but for what it is, I enjoyed it.
I also really appreciated Jon getting multiple scenes to admit his vulnerability that didn't feel like the show punching down at him, like season 2 did. When he's terrified of losing his mom, it gets addressed with care and compassion. When Sophie runs away, he's the one who can actually relate and get through to her due to feeling similarly. This feels like a season that actually respects him as a character, and I cannot stress how refreshing it is after last season relentlessly broke him down and then just left him in the dirt.
I have gone back and forth on Jordan this season. Sometimes I thought his arc was really interesting and well-executed, other times I thought he was an unlikable ass. At first I was annoyed with him being basically perfect with all of his saves, treading dangerously close to Mary Sue territory – but then it became something much more interesting. He actually is very good at what he does, and that’s getting to his head. He’s becoming cocky, and he wants the credit for the saves. He’s an anxious kid who needs attention, and he’s trying to get it in an unhealthy, somewhat obnoxious way. I didn’t like it on first viewing, but the more I considered it, the more sense it made. The finale mostly brought it full-circle, with him actually owning up to his actions a little, and overall I think it’s an interesting direction for him. But I fully understand why people didn't like Jordan at all this time around.
My S&L hot take is that I actually like Sarah. She’s well-written, well-performed, and dare I say it, usually the most sensible of the show’s teen characters (aside from maybe Natalie). When she messes up, it’s understandable, and she works through it in interesting ways.
If this show had a Most Improved award, it should go to Kyle. Splitting him up from Lana did a world of good for his character -- this is the first season where I've actually liked him. We get to see him step up to be a better partner, friend, and father, and he rises to that challenge.
Chad L. Coleman is fantastic as Bruno Mannheim. He has so much presence, and expertly transitions from menacing to sympathetic over the course of the season.
Lana and John Henry have fantastic chemistry that's been building since last season. They're great characters, they go well together, their relationship development is completely believable, and I was fully on board with them finally hooking up in the finale.
I enjoyed Sam's little arc of getting closer with Natalie, to the point where he's referring to her as his granddaughter by the finale.
I appreciated this season giving female friendships some time to shine -- we had Sarah being Natalie's wing woman, and Lana going to talk to Lois when she knew that Clark, as a guy, wouldn't be able to offer quite the same support.
This season also took the mental health of its characters pretty seriously, which I love. Lois' emotional struggles dealing with her cancer are given all the space they need, and Sarah's depression is given significant weight and attention.
Clark's final scene with Peia... honestly, I'm still thinking about it. The fact that Clark saves the day not with his strength or his speed, but with his compassion and humanity. He's spent this time learning the support Lois needs, listening to people at the hospital, and that care is what allows him to get through to her and give her final moments some level of peace. I love it more than I can fully express.
What I'm Mixed On
I am utterly indifferent to Kyle and Chrissy as a couple. They’re cute enough, and the relationship makes for some interesting dynamics and character beats. But they don’t have much chemistry, and feel like characters who were just paired up to give them something to do.
I’m not sure why they chose to let Kyle in on the secret. I frankly loved the buildup to the reveal, with Kyle suspecting that someone in Smallville has powers, being convinced that it’s Jon, then having the rug pulled out from under him upon learning that Clark is Superman. But then this reveal doesn’t actually go anywhere. Seeing Kyle go full fanboy over Superman is kinda cute, but it doesn’t feel like it fundamentally changes their dynamic or anything. I was hoping for a little more out of that.
Candice gets more screentime and development this season – not a ton, but enough to feel more like a real character, not a plot device. Unfortunately, she feels like a completely different character from last season, and she still doesn’t have much chemistry with Jon. Frankly, when she moved away from Smallville, I think they should have just broken the characters up and written Candice out. I don’t think they would be losing much.
Lex… doesn’t feel quite right. At least compared to versions of the character that I know. To me, Lex has always been the rich genius, who gets the upper hand through a combination of sheer intelligence and having more money than god. But this version of Lex feels more physically intimidating, like he’d rather just beat the shit out of you. I can’t deny how much presence he has, and how immediately he becomes a massive threat, but I also just find this version much less interesting. It works well enough for this show, but I don’t think this will go down as one of the all-time great Lex Luthors.
That ending. When I realized they were going for the Death of Superman plot, I was fully onboard with it. But I really don’t like where they cut off – not just for the cliffhanger, but because I have a hard time imagining a satisfying way for that to resolve, since they already did a death fakeout. I can’t help but wish they’d fully committed to killing Clark, and let next season deal with the aftermath. But I have to see how it actually resolves next season before ultimately deciding how I feel.
What I Didn't Like
This season doesn’t have much of an actual plot, and once you catch onto that, it’s a bit dull – especially on rewatch. I appreciate them making character moments the greater focus, but I think they just took it a step too far. Mannheim is the season’s big bad, but he’s not actually creating much of a threat. We’re just motivated by Lois’ suspicions for a long time, and a few random scenes that aren’t properly explained. Why was Henry Miller attacking Metropolis? Why was Peia sent to kill George Dean? It feels like things are just sort of happening in order to rope Clark and Lois into the plot.
The main twists of the season – Peia being Mannheim’s wife and Matteo being his son – barely make any sense when you actually think about them. A secret marriage, I could buy, but once you add in their son, it stretches believability to the breaking point. Matteo specifically says that people talk about his dad, so they know who his dad is – so how do they not know about his mom? And how does Natalie love Matteo so much without ever learning his last name? How does she meet his parents without learning their names? This could be explained fairly easily, but just isn’t. Maybe this is nitpicking, but considering how much of the story hinges on these twists, I would expect them to make sense.
Perhaps my biggest complaint about this season is how little the twins feel involved in anything. They have no stake in the main plot, but then again, there’s no real main plot to even have stake in. They begin to feel like supporting characters rather than the deuteragonists they should be. They also have very few meaningful interactions with their parents. One episode lampshaded this, having Clark try to spend time with the boys, but that was frankly too little too late. For a story about the Kent family, I feel like I didn’t actually see them as a family all that much.
As much as I liked Lois’ cancer arc, the actual reveal of said arc was very silly, and possibly the worst scene of the season. Lois is trying to talk someone off a ledge, literally, and chooses to do so by dramatically revealing that she has cancer. It feels contrived and callous and bizarrely out of place.
Natalie and Matteo are a cute couple, but the speed with which they go straight to ride or die is absurd. I understand that they’re teenagers in their first serious relationship, but the extremes are just too hard to believe.
John Henry killing Henry Miller is treated like this massive deal, but it never made much sense to me – it was clearly in self-defense. If a guy is coming after you relentlessly with the intent to kill you and your daughter, killing him first isn’t that extreme of a reaction. Yet everyone acted like John had done the unthinkable… before promptly forgetting all about it two episodes later. Very strange, very pointless.
Matteo slipping Peia the cure while in DOD custody was incredibly contrived, and made the DOD look incredibly incompetent. No one is watching their interaction? No one is listening? It really took me out of the moment.
Jordan developing x-ray vision felt like an afterthought, tossed carelessly into a spot where it vaguely fit, and I didn’t like how it was handled. Having Clark be right there but not acknowledging or helping Jordan in any way besides “your x-ray vision’s coming in” felt wildly out of character for him – they should have either leaned into Clark being pulled in many directions at once, needing to support Lois, help Jordan, and find Peia at the same time and unable to do it all, or just have Jordan’s x-ray vision develop after Clark leaves, so Jonathan is forced to step up to the plate.
This is a minor thing, but it’s been bugging me since the start of the show – Sophie acts well below her actual age. The actress is around 12-13, but the character is written to act like a kindergartener, and it’s very odd once you notice it. It was passable in season one, but it feels like the writers haven’t accounted for the actress growing up.

COP27- Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
COP27 was full of people from all over the world who are working on different initiatives to address climate change. We attended many sessions from organizations and every one of them is working on their own separate project that they’re passionate about and that brings us one step closer to climate justice.
For example, we attended a few sessions that had Indigenous people as its panelists, they were from different countries like Brazil and Mexico. They presented some of the problems their communities faced due to climate change, and spoke about their rage due to lack of equal treatment back home. They explained that climate justice is social justice and demanded equality to be given to them . if It was relevant to hear that from them, because of their relationship f to nature and their belief to give back to nature if they want to take from it
Another interesting session was titled From the People to the Highest Court, one of the panelists managed to get 18 nations together to revise a resolution that they’re intending to present to the United Nations and then take it over to the International Court of Justice. That reminded me of the activity we did in the Global Kids CFR Summer Institute where we practiced how UN meetings occur and the process of drafting resolutions and voting for whether they should pass or not.
In one of the sessions that focused on supporting women and youth, an Indian lawyer in the panel talked about how they are working to provide women in India and other countries with opportunities to learn about climate change and sustainable development . They also help with financing programs that have the same goal in order to help spread awareness about climate change in as many places and to as many people as possible.
Finally, in one of my favorite sessions, the Partnership for the SDGs session, Yohany spoke on the panel. I got to talk to a scientist who does research about sea acidification and their work with legislators to create laws that are coherent with the plans to fix or reduce the found acidifications. I talked with him about the abandoned Safer storage ship that’s on the shores of Yemen and is threatened to start leaking its load of 1.1 million barrels of crude oil at any time. This connected the issue of climate justice to my own community back home in Yemen. He gave me his email address after our discussion and told me to email him with more details after. He can talk to his colleagues that can make a diagnosis of the ship using radars to see how bad its erosion is so far and other details regarding the ship. That should be helpful to presenting this case when trying to gather donations to start the mission of offloading the barrels off the ship because of the more details we will have.
Overall, the COP 27 was a promising event and hopefully successful. Many of the sessions we attended were focused on ongoing projects from people and organizations that have different fields of interest but are all aimed to bring Climate Justice to the people who’re affected by their field. There was an entire pavilion dedicated to youth and kids which was good but at the same time I thought it was insufficient. That pavilion was one out of so many, and you couldn’t notice it unless you’re looking for it. Moreover, it only had youth in its audience so it was not very useful because their messages weren’t reaching the people who were in charge and had real power to make change. But nonetheless, it was a great experience attending COP and I learned a great deal that I didn’t know before. I’m hopeful about the effects some of the presented projects will have and I look forward to hearing about them.

The Importance of Expert Podiatry Care Across Sydney Suburbs
We often underestimate the value of our feet until something goes wrong. From basic functions like walking to high-level activities like running and jumping, our feet serve us in multiple ways. As vital as they are to our mobility and overall well-being, they also require specialist care for proper health. That’s where the role of a qualified podiatrist becomes indispensable. For residents in Sydney’s north-western suburbs, there are plenty of options when it comes to finding a Podiatrist near Baulkham Hills or a Podiatrist near Glenhaven. But how do you decide where to go?
Expert Care Closer to You
One of the first things to consider is the convenience of location. You don’t want to drive halfway across Sydney for a foot check-up. Thankfully, whether you are looking for a Podiatrist near Dural or a Podiatrist near Castle Hill, you’ll find quality care right in your neighbourhood. Finding a local clinic minimises the time spent travelling, allowing for a quicker road to recovery.
What to Look for in a Podiatrist
If you’re based in Sydney’s northern suburbs like Beecroft or Eastwood and find yourself searching for a Podiatrist near Beecroft or a Podiatrist near Eastwood, you may feel overwhelmed with choices. Look for podiatrists who have an excellent reputation and track record, perhaps those who are recommended by general practitioners or through word-of-mouth. Customer reviews and testimonials can also offer insight into a clinic’s credibility and the quality of care you can expect.
Range of Services
A good podiatrist is not just about location; they must offer a comprehensive range of services too. From common issues like ingrown toenails and corns to more severe conditions like sports injuries and diabetic foot care, an expert podiatrist should provide a holistic approach to foot health. For residents of Wentworthville, finding a Podiatrist near Wentworthville who can provide a wide array of services is crucial for maintaining optimal foot health.
Why It’s Important to Act Fast
Foot problems can worsen if left untreated. Quick and professional intervention is crucial to avoid complications. Don’t hesitate to act on foot issues, thinking they will get better on their own. It’s always best to consult a specialist to get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.
Wrapping Up
Finding a local, reputable podiatrist is more convenient than ever for residents in Sydney’s north-western suburbs. If you’re in Baulkham Hills, Glenhaven, Dural, Castle Hill, Beecroft, Eastwood, or Wentworthville, professional foot care is just a stone’s throw away. Prioritise your foot health by opting for a specialist close to you, as timely and expert care is essential for resolving foot issues effectively.
So, take the first step towards better foot health by consulting an expert podiatrist near you today.
By making the smart choice and opting for expert care, you’re not just putting your best foot forward; you’re ensuring that every step you take is one closer to complete well-being.

Hope on the Horizon: Progress in Curing Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) has long been a life-altering diagnosis, requiring constant blood sugar monitoring and insulin management. But recent breakthroughs are providing new hope, not just for better management, but for something truly groundbreaking: a potential cure. So, what's happening in the world of T1D research? Let’s break it down.
At its core, Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. The body mistakenly attacks insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas, leaving the person dependent on external insulin for survival. While treatments have gotten better over the years (hello, continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps!), they’re still just that—treatments. The dream has always been to restore the body’s natural ability to produce insulin, and that dream is closer than ever.
Enter stem cell therapy, one of the most promising areas of research. Scientists have developed ways to turn stem cells into insulin-producing beta cells. In fact, clinical trials are already showing incredible results, with some participants being able to produce their own insulin for the first time since diagnosis! While it's not quite a "throw away your insulin" moment just yet, the progress is remarkable. Imagine a future where people with T1D can reduce their dependence on insulin—or even eliminate it completely.
Another exciting area is immune system modification. Since T1D is caused by an overactive immune response, researchers are looking into ways to "retrain" the immune system to stop attacking beta cells. Some therapies aim to halt the disease in its tracks before beta cells are completely destroyed, which could be life-changing for those newly diagnosed.
These developments are still in early stages, but they offer real hope for the millions of people living with T1D. The science is complex, but the message is simple: we're moving from managing the disease to potentially curing it. That’s something worth getting excited about.
At HopeCore, we believe in celebrating every step forward in the fight against diabetes. Stay tuned for more updates as the research unfolds. The future of diabetes care looks brighter than ever!

Personalized treatment is one major area that characterizes homeopathy and at Bharat Homeopathy, diagnosis of each patient's distinct signs, lifestyle, and general health all determine the kind of remedies set forth for preparation in order to enhance healing functions in one's body.
One of the major reasons homeopathic treatment for psoriasis becomes more appealing is because it focuses on using natural ingredients. It acknowledges that no two patients are alike; therefore, it holds a record of every patient's symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle patterns and thus tailors the treatment scheme according to an individual's requirements.
Holistic Approach: It is being seen that homeopathy treats the whole individual rather than dealing with the disease itself. Therefore, it takes into consideration all the emotional and psychological factors. These are the most significant factors that are involved when it comes to the overall well-being of a person.
Minimal Side Effects: Generally safe and well-tolerated natural remedy for scalp psoriasis meant minimal side effects of conventional medications. Thus, homeopathic remedies are suitable for all ages, starting with children and up to the elderly.
Long-Term Solutions: Homeopathy is a treatment that works on the root causes of disease rather than suppressing the manifestations. Most of these lead to long-time change and discontinuation or a reduction in medications.
Accessible: It is now accessible, and it can reach patients easily, even now, by having doorstep delivery of medicines and online consultation. The proper care and natural scalp psoriasis treatment of the patients without the hassle of running around so that it can be easier to fit into busy lifestyles.
There is a supportive community among many homeopathic practitioners who always point to a good environment where the patient will be heard and understood. This is because most of the diseases have a tendency of getting worse for patients, especially those such as psoriasis, who may require emotional support and care, greatly contributing to the overall well-being of the patient.

PCOS and Skin Problems: Acne, Dark Patches, and How to Treat Them
What is PCOS and How Does It Affect the Skin?
PCOS, or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, is a common hormonal issue that affects women during their reproductive years. One of the lesser-known but impactful symptoms of PCOS is the effect it has on the skin. Women with PCOS often experience acne, dark patches (known as acanthosis nigricans), and other skin issues due to the hormonal imbalances caused by the condition.
PCOS causes an overproduction of androgens (male hormones), which leads to excess oil production, clogged pores, and in turn, acne. In addition, insulin resistance, which is also associated with PCOS, can cause dark, velvety patches to form on the skin, particularly in areas like the neck, armpits, and groin.
How Does PCOS Lead to Skin Problems?
Understanding why PCOS causes these skin issues is crucial for effective treatment. Let’s take a closer look at how PCOS affects the skin:
1. Acne from PCOS
Acne is one of the most common skin problems caused by PCOS. Elevated androgen levels cause the sebaceous glands to produce more oil, leading to clogged pores and bacterial growth. This results in acne, which can be severe and persistent, particularly around the jawline and chin.
2. Dark Patches (Acanthosis Nigricans)
PCOS often leads to insulin resistance, which means the body doesn't use insulin effectively. High levels of insulin can stimulate the skin cells to grow faster, causing dark patches to form, particularly in areas like the neck, underarms, and groin. These patches may feel velvety and thick to the touch.
The Importance of Treating PCOS-Related Skin Problems
PCOS-related skin problems are not just cosmetic; they often indicate underlying health issues such as hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance. Treating these symptoms is important for improving both your appearance and overall health.
Why Should You Seek Treatment?
Prevent Scarring: Acne caused by PCOS can leave long-term scars if not treated properly. Early intervention can help prevent permanent skin damage.
Manage Insulin Resistance: Dark patches of skin indicate insulin resistance, which can lead to more serious health issues like type 2 diabetes if not addressed.
Improve Self-Confidence: Skin issues can impact self-esteem and confidence. Addressing PCOS-related acne and dark patches can improve both physical and mental well-being.
How to Treat PCOS-Related Skin Problems
Effective management of PCOS-related skin problems requires a combination of lifestyle changes, medical treatments, and skincare routines. Here’s a step-by-step approach:
1. Consult a Specialist
The first step is to consult a specialist who understands the intricacies of PCOS and how it affects the skin. A gynecologist or dermatologist can help create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Online consultations make it easy to get expert advice. Online obstetrics gynecologists consultations in India offer the convenience of discussing your symptoms and getting a diagnosis without leaving your home.
2. Medications
To treat acne caused by PCOS, doctors often prescribe medications that regulate hormone levels. For dark patches, topical treatments with ingredients like retinoids or salicylic acid may help reduce pigmentation.
3. Lifestyle Changes
Making lifestyle changes is essential to managing PCOS. These include:
Dietary Changes: Eating a balanced diet low in sugar and refined carbs can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce acne flare-ups.
Exercise: Regular physical activity helps balance hormones and manage weight, reducing insulin resistance.
Skin Care Routine: Using non-comedogenic, oil-free products can help manage acne.
4. Full Body Checkups
Keeping track of your overall health with a top full body checkup in India is essential for monitoring PCOS symptoms. Regular checkups can help detect any changes in hormone levels or insulin resistance, allowing for early intervention.
FAQs About PCOS and Skin Problems
Q1: How do PCOS pimples look?A: PCOS pimples are often large, inflamed, and cystic in nature. They typically appear deeper under the skin and can be painful. They may also take longer to heal compared to regular acne.
Q2: Where is PCOS acne located?A: PCOS acne is usually found on the lower face, particularly along the jawline, chin, and neck. It can also appear on the chest and back.
Q3:What does a PCOS face look like?A: A "PCOS face" may have features like acne, oily skin, and sometimes dark patches (acanthosis nigricans) around the neck or underarms. Some women may also experience excess facial hair growth (hirsutism).
Conclusion
Managing skin problems caused by PCOS requires a comprehensive approach. Start by consulting the best doctors for PCOS treatment in India to get expert advice on how to treat your skin issues effectively. With the right approach, you can manage both your PCOS and its effects on your skin, leading to better overall well-being.

A Closer Look at Chondrosarcoma: Diagnosis and Staging Process
Nowadays, people suffer from different types of Bone Cancer One of the rare types is Chondrosarcoma which primarily affects the cartilage cells. Unlike other kinds of bone cancer, chondrosarcoma grows slowly and can become aggressive in some cases.
Understanding the symptoms, diagnosis, and staging process can help you deal with such issues in advance. It is crucial to determine the most effective treatment for living a healthy life.
In this guide, we will take a closer look at the diagnosis and staging process of Chondrosarcoma. Let's begin!
What is Chondrosarcoma?
Chondrosarcoma, as the name suggests, is a tumor that originates from the cartilage-producing cells and occurs in the pelvis, thighs, and shoulder region; although it's not limited to any part, it can happen anyplace where the cartilage is present, it affects the individual mostly above 40, and more prevalent in case of a male.
Diagnosis of Chondrosarcoma
Diagnosis involves combinations of tests which we will discuss further. The process will help you to identify the tumor and its characteristics to get the best treatment for Chondrosarcoma.
Medical History and Physical Examination
The first step of diagnosis is to go through the medical history and physical examination. The specialist will get some information about your side effects, and any family background of the disease—a physical examination of the affected region, swelling, or other abnormality.
Imaging Studies
Imaging studies are one of the essential diagnoses of chondrosarcoma. It helps to see the visuals of a tumor, identify its size, and find whether it has a characteristic to spread in nearby tissues or bones.
X-rays: In the initial level typically x-ray is performed. It finds out the abnormalities in the bone structure like tumors.
MRI: This scan provides details about the soft tissues surrounding the bone. The main reason to go for an MRI is because it gives a more precise evaluation of the tumor’s extent.
CT Scan: CT Scan can provide all the details like size, location, and amount of tissue damage, which is important before treatment. It measures a tumor's relationship to nearby structures, such as blood vessels and nerves.
Bone Scan: A bone scan is mostly preferred to detect if cancer is spread to other parts of the bone or not. It is one of the significant tests if a person is diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma Treatment in India.
Biopsy
In biopsy, a sample of tissue is removed from the tumor to examine in a microscope which determines if the cells are cancerous or not. If so, what type of cancer is detected through a needle or incisional Biopsy?
Staging of Chondrosarcoma
Staging helps in understanding how far the cancer has spread within the body. It is a crucial process for finding the ideal treatment options for Chondrosarcoma. According to the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) TNM system, Chondrosarcoma is staged from I to IV, which we will discuss further:
Stage I
Stage IA: The tumor in this stage is low grade which means it is less aggressive, they usually have a size of less than 8 cm. And they cannot spread to lymph nodes or any other part of your body.
Stage IB: In this stage, everything is similar to stage IA except the size of the tumor is more significant than 8 cm.
Stage II
Stage IIA: In this stage, the tumor is high-grade and less than 8 cm. And there is no spread to lymph nodes or distant organs.
Stage IIB: Here, the tumor is high-grade but larger than 8 cm and has no spread.
Stage III
In the third stage, various high-grade cancers are present in a similar bone, however they have not spread to lymph nodes or different parts of the body.
Stage IV
Stage IVA: In this stage, the growth has spread to regional lymph nodes, no matter what its size or grade.
Stage IVB: Here, the growth has spread to distant organs, like the lungs, regardless of their size or grade.

Understanding the Importance of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness
Pancreatic cancer is a disease that affects thousands of individuals and families each year. As one of the most aggressive forms of cancer, it has a significant impact not only on the health of those diagnosed but also on their loved ones. Raising awareness and encouraging support for pancreatic cancer initiatives can make a tremendous difference in early detection, research funding, and patient care.
One of the most effective ways to show support and spread awareness is through participation in a pancreatic cancer walk. These events bring together survivors, families, and communities to rally behind the cause. The symbolism of these walks transcends mere fundraising; they provide hope, strength, and unity for everyone affected by the disease. Many pancreatic cancer walk events also raise significant funds for research, helping advance our understanding of how to fight this deadly cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer Walks: An Event for All
Whether you are a survivor, a family member, or simply someone who wants to help, joining pancreatic cancer walks is an excellent way to contribute to the cause. These events are held in various locations throughout the year, drawing people from all walks of life. From large national events to more localized community efforts, every pancreatic cancer walk plays a crucial role in bringing attention to this devastating illness.
Most pancreatic cancer walk events involve not just walking but a day filled with various activities such as remembrance ceremonies, educational booths, and opportunities for participants to share their stories. The emotional and physical benefits of these walks cannot be overstated. They help to channel the collective energy of people into something that genuinely makes a difference.
How Pancreatic Cancer Donations Contribute to Research and Support
One of the most important aspects of any pancreatic cancer walk is the opportunity to make pancreatic cancer donations. Donations from these walks go directly towards funding research initiatives aimed at discovering better treatments, improving early detection methods, and potentially finding a cure. Many pancreatic cancer walks also support patients by funding financial assistance programs, caregiver resources, and support groups.
When you participate in or donate to a pancreatic cancer walk, you are not only honoring those who have battled the disease but also providing hope for future generations. Every dollar raised is a step closer to better treatments and understanding. This is why pancreatic cancer donations are so essential to these walks—they drive the necessary funding for research and support that wouldn’t exist without public participation.
The Role of Community in Pancreatic Cancer Walk Events
The community aspect of pancreatic cancer walk events is crucial. These walks unite people, giving them a chance to connect with others who have experienced similar challenges. This shared sense of purpose fosters a supportive environment where participants feel empowered to make a difference. Each person who walks and donates strengthens the network of support that is so essential for families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
Pancreatic cancer walks provide an outlet for people to express their emotions, share their stories, and build friendships that can help sustain them through difficult times. As the community rallies behind survivors and those who have lost loved ones, it becomes apparent that these walks are about much more than physical movement—they are about moving forward together.
Getting Involved in Pancreatic Cancer Walk Events
Getting involved in pancreatic cancer walk events is easy and accessible for everyone. Whether you want to join a walk, start a team, or volunteer, there are countless ways to participate. Signing up for a pancreatic cancer walk typically involves registering online or in person, where you can also pledge donations and encourage others to support your efforts.
Many pancreatic cancer walks have virtual options, allowing people to participate no matter where they are located. This inclusivity expands the reach of the events and brings even more attention to the cause. By taking part in these walks, you join a larger movement to spread awareness and advocate for progress in pancreatic cancer research.
The Impact of Pancreatic Cancer Walk Events on Families and Survivors
For families and survivors, pancreatic cancer walks hold special significance. They offer a way to honor loved ones who have battled pancreatic cancer and celebrate the strength of survivors. For many, these walks are a healing experience, helping participants come to terms with loss and move forward with hope.
By attending a pancreatic cancer walk, families can find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their fight. The unity of the community during these events provides strength and solace, especially for those navigating the complexities of the disease. Survivors often use these walks as a platform to share their stories, inspire others, and demonstrate the importance of continued efforts to fight pancreatic cancer.

Embracing a Balanced Lifestyle: Your Path to Wellness
Introduction:
In today's fast-paced world, maintaining a balanced lifestyle is more important than ever. At Health Hod, we believe that true wellness comes from nurturing both the body and mind. A healthy lifestyle is not just about dieting or exercising; it's about creating sustainable habits that enhance your overall well-being. Whether you're looking to improve your physical health, manage stress, or simply live more mindfully, we have you covered. Here are some essential tips to help you embrace a balanced lifestyle.
1. Prioritize Nutrition:
A balanced diet is the cornerstone of good health. Incorporate a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains into your meals. Remember, it's not about restrictive dieting but about making healthier food choices. Start by swapping out processed foods for natural, nutrient-rich alternatives. This simple change can make a big difference in how you feel every day.
2. Stay Active:
Physical activity is crucial for maintaining both physical and mental health. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. Whether it's a brisk walk, yoga session, or a dance class, find an activity you enjoy and make it a part of your routine. Staying active not only boosts your energy levels but also helps reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
3. Get Quality Sleep:
Sleep is often overlooked, but it plays a vital role in overall health. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to allow your body to recover and rejuvenate. Establish a calming bedtime routine and make your sleep environment comfortable. Avoid screens before bedtime to help your mind wind down and prepare for rest.
4. Manage Stress:
Stress is a part of life, but chronic stress can have adverse effects on your health. Learn to manage stress through mindfulness practices like meditation, deep breathing, or yoga. Taking time to relax and recharge is essential for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Find what works for you and make it a non-negotiable part of your daily routine.
5. Stay Hydrated:
Water is essential for every function in your body. Make sure to drink enough water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches, and other health issues. Carry a water bottle with you and sip regularly, especially during and after exercise.
6. Foster Positive Relationships:
Healthy relationships contribute significantly to our overall well-being. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who uplift and inspire you. Strong social connections can improve your mental health and provide a sense of belonging and purpose.
7. Practice Mindful Living:
Mindfulness involves being fully present in the moment and aware of your thoughts and feelings without judgment. It helps reduce stress and increase emotional resilience. Try incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine, whether through meditation, journaling, or simply taking a few deep breaths.
Conclusion:
Adopting a healthy lifestyle is a journey, not a destination. At Health Hod, we encourage you to start small, make gradual changes, and most importantly, be kind to yourself. Every positive change you make brings you one step closer to a healthier, happier you. Remember, your health is your wealth – invest in it wisely!
