We go by The Flux System (TFS). We’re a mid-twenties aged DID system, and we created this blog for the express purpose of existing freely, so DID/plurality is the main topic you’ll find here. Though not strictly.

(Still learning, but on punk principle, all systems are welcome here.)

We’re a writer by trade (trust me, it’s not as glamorous as it sounds), and recently we returned to college as a psychology student. There’s a dual dream going on here: Become a published fiction novelist, and become a research psychologist.

Winery's Comet is the name of both muir mediple system and the sprawling TARDIS at the heart of Mel’s personal wonderland (distinct from bondspace, despite both being within her& own head). I figured out some stuff yesterday when I was doing my deep dive into my own gender. I'm just going to copy and paste a thing I texted to a friend because I think it's a pretty good encapsulation of where I landed:

so I have literally spent the entire day napping and thinking about gender and pronouns and stuff. I think what I want to cultivate in my life is exploration and play around gender. I'm pretty late to be figuring things out and I think what I'm figuring out is that in flux is who I'm supposed to be right now. And I'm allowed to play and be in flux and stuff around pronouns. AND I just happen to be meeting a lot of people right now and sharing my pronouns a lot. So I think I'm going to start introducing myself as a person who is playing with pronouns and currently using ze/hir but accepting she/her also especially if you've been in my life a long time. And like set up the expectation that things are going to change probably more than once so don't get too comfy with any set of pronouns.

I have PCOS so I've found myself as a bit of Schrodinger's intersex in the discourse, but either way I will be posting intersex voices on this blog. Intersex people are not a "so there" to wave at transphobes, they are people with their own unique struggles and identities

I am disabled and I use a variety of different mobility aids for different spaces and days; a cane, a rollator and wheelchairs. I will post about disability stuff here, too

I grew up in the evangelical church and have had to deal with a lot of internalized homophobia and transphobia, as well as religious trauma. I am also unpacking the toxic, bigoted behavior of my own past. This is not the focal point of this blog, but it may make appearances. I do my best to tag, don't feel shy to tell me if I fuck up on that.

I believe so. At least as far as I know cuspers, they tend to use that way, although some may use as exactly the middle point between two identities. It's like, an inbetweeny term. But for practical uses, most people will see this as simply one or another.

Like in the queercore movement, it's situationism, depending the context you can be one thing or the other, similar to the personal pronouns of Leslie Feinberg (ze used both he/him and she/her for respectively gender expression and sex identity).

It also works like gray area in asexuality, you can be fluid/flux as well.

this was a success for me in ways the star beast wasn't. there’s so much Food in this one. "to come home" "maybe i will save you", etc etc etc etc. It feels like it draws a close to 10 and Donna’s story... but not really bc “the story never ends”....aka: Fandom the ball is now in ur court, the ground is Fertile for us to produce decades upon decades of Gen Fic (and they even get a TARDIS a la deleted tentoo scene! so we aren't even confined to domestic stuff only!!!) it is our time to Feast. ON MESSAGING: This episode is, at the very least, made up of 2 hats: the first hat is " toymaker outfoxing The Dr." (no complaints in this), and the hat inside that hat is: “humanity going mad and being The Problem” ... this was good enough to be its own hat. but it is kinda forgotten? If this were a normal season I feel that would have been a full episode where we would feel the implications of it . maybe then I would respect it more as a Political Message / Social Criticism bc rn it feels very eye roll lib core / basic af... to Elaborate:

this is what prejudice works like only if u have no understanding of material conditions. "why are people so prejudiced? BC they're afraid and mad! their fear of the new makes them lash out!!!!" sure. but the reason *that's* dangerous is not bc suddenly everyone will start rowing on the streets, is bc 1% of ppl get *benefits* from this line of thinking. prejudices are not actually "born" out of "fear" and "madness" but are *carefully, intentionally constructucted and/or encouraged* by the dominant class)

On The Big Controversy:

Bigeneration rlly rlly works for me ... tbh On a couple levels… first, the mechanical: the doctor after TTC has been thoroughly portrayed as a Weird Thing more than any other time recently. Ppl used to joke about “elderitch horror” doctor before but now it feels like… way more real. The Doctor is really fucking weird !! so having them split like a cell? To survive? Yeah to me that feels like a very “yeah, this might as well happen”. After The Regeneration Limit has been throughout Debunked in-universe, it follows that we would question... just how much life is there in this fucking guy??? well, too much to be contained in one body, babes!

SO, that’s the mechanical level… but on the emotional level? I love it even more. The thing to understand is that... in this story, regeneration is *not* a device for telling a story about “accepting change” (that’s been done, lbr, more than enough times before). Here, it is actually doing a new thing for The Show: it is telling a story about “the journey of Healing” (hopefully, the first step in a very long Journey focused on that). 15 holding 14, embracing him… that’s just, well, it's moving man. 14 is a mess and 15 from what I’ve seen is Fucked Up In Brand New Ways… but here, in this moment, at least they’re starting to show a little bit of self-compassion. That’s one of the hardest things there is man, and for a character that has gone thru sm Grief and sm Trauma and shown so much downright self-destruction, self-sabotage, season after season after season… (literally saying ‘no’ to Yaz the day before for (reasons)!!!)…. And like, going against every other “the doctor can’t stand themeselves” character beat since The Power Of Tree (which I love don’t get me wrong but!! it's always had Implications!!)!!! ... well... It’s truly hopeful. It’s relatable. It’s beautiful. I'm sorry some dw fans are so tired of DT that they truly are missing out on something Monumental for the show / the character in general. That leads us to... ON THE TRANSITION FROM 13'S ERA

I also feel ngl fandom seriously worries about such… unimportant things all the time. “oh but having a DT with a tardis out there MIGHT make people think Ncuti isn’t legitimate!!!!” bro every other white doctor was already out there having adventures in the TARDIS every other week. Ppl who don't consider 13 or 14 as legitimate were already doing that by refusing to watch the show and sticking to the watching the 40+ seasons of white males as leads that are literally a click away. Like I’m sorry to bring up old fanwank but sdklfjsd god, honestly that was such a bizarre, intangible worry to have. When u actually watch the special w/o all these marketting worries... They very much …… don’t forget 13 in these specials . in fact it’s quite the opposite sdklf to get a true Understanding of all the layers going on in 14’s arc, 13’s story are p much requisite viewing. and I'm a flux Enjoyer thru and thru but c'mon, we all talked about how the resolution was fumbled sdlkfjsd it's Good that they are doing the fallout of 13 committing a triple genocide now!!! these specials actually elevated flux, not the opposite.

That said... god, they really should have mentioned Yaz there at the end in that "we loved her" bit re: Rose/River... I don’t know, it feels so glaring? if you didn't want to alienate the normies, why mention flux and (all the 32408 mentions of lore) in this? mentioning yaz seems so less dangerou in that case. idk. perhaps it was On Purpose and The Shoe Will Drop at some point with 15 (RTD is after all the man who gave us canon Nyssa/Tegan when he really didn’t Have To At All lol this guy would make all the companions gay if he could), but rn it’s like :/ thumbs down on that. CONCLUSIONS TO THE CONCLUSIONS

just great "big event" dr who tbh! flawed and with some things that annoyed me but also with enough stuff to send me out to do/read fanworks for the next 15 years lol . nph annoys me sometimes but toymaker was perfectly done. lots and lots of character and lore implications to make me break the tumblr post character limit. execution wise... the effects were great and the set pieces really worked. messaging as i said was weak, tho like with the lack of enough Shirley+Kate+Mel+Rose development, knowing what we know from BTS news ... this is gonna be re-treaded ground again in a few weeks, so.. we'll see if this improves (or gets worse lol). watch this space~

Ugh... Why don’t xe/xem pronouns feel right when I’m gendervoid??? They work when I’m intergender, but not agender.

She/her and he/him are very obviously out right now. But for some reason, I can’t stand using they/them for myself. And I don’t know why. It’s the most common gender neutral set. But let’s put it on for size a second.

Maybe my subconscious is just completely railing against the norm??? I mean, I am a strange person and don’t like being thought of as normal.

These three work for their intended genders. Let’s try other pronouns with the name Lilu.

Lilu wants per pizza. This regesters about as well as ze/hir.

Lilu wants vis pizza. This one is interesting, but it doesn’t fit gendervoid me.

None of these really want to fit right at the moment. I do not understand why.

Could definitely work when I feel a particularly inhuman gender. The name feels off, though. Lilitu, perhaps?

For some reason, this makes me the least anxious. But I also know it’s used as a slur by transphobes. So my question is why it feels so comfortable right now.

I’m not disassociating with my humanity. Regardless of my nature as an unseelie fae, I’m relatively comfortable living as a human for the time being. Despite everything I’m going through at the moment, and all I’ve been through in the, it’s been fun.

My astral form is absolutely an eldritch humanoid abomination. No doubt about that. Humans irritate me on a regular enough basis. Not denying it at all. But I do not feel that being born into a human body was some kind of cosmic mixup. I am quite aware that many people living as humans are, whether they realize it or not, not in fact human souls.

In any case, this doesn’t make much sense. Maybe it’s just because this is an English language problem, and this just isn’t a thing where my higher self is from.

I would also like to note that transphobes will misgender and insult the community whether they have an excuse’ or not. It’s just them trying to run from the consequences. Some people liking it/its pronouns as justification for calling other trans people ‘it’ when they don’t like is a really flimsy excuse. And still misgendering them.

I do see why many people have problems with calling another person it. It’s been used as a weapon by transphobes. I haven’t experienced such purposeful misgendering myself. But I do get it.

Although I also see the value in yanking it from them so they can’t use it against everyone. If that pronoun can be used by people on themselves, then it can’t dehumanize them in the hands of others. And I respect that.

Also, with that rambling all done, I want my pizza.

I'm sorry but to me ze looks like ze would unironically enjoy gregtech

The reason why large chunks of the world have no ore and dirt instead of stone is because he needs ore and sets up rftools builders everywhere

Likes to go fishing while waiting for its several fusion reactors and high end electric blast furnaces to process things

Floating scifi looking base mostly composed of sheetmetal, plastic and glass

Kai (he/she)

Resident thaumaturge and number one cause of flux and taint

Actively uses warping equipment but counteracts it by visiting Makena's base ever so often and brewing some Brews of Sane Thoughts

Hates pipes and jars, uses Thaumic Energistics to transport essentia.

Guess what she uses to power the aforementioned AE network. That's it, a heat generator powered by automated alumentum

Base is a floating mage tower in the End

Botanist and manaworker

Not amazing at redstone, compensates with Integrated Dynamics knowledge

Dabbles a bit in Astral Sorcery as well, but not much. Always has an Illumination wand on her

Currently on view and organized by Volery Gallery in Dubai, “Island Time” is a group exhibition curated by artist Andrew Schoultz. 

The show references the slowing of time and reveals the idea of living a lifestyle where the passing of hours plays no factor in our decision-making.

Artworks by eight international contemporary artists portray a relaxed perception of time. In reality, many of us live in a fast-paced world where moments and wealth are synonyms. In a world where the phrase "Where did the time go?" is overused, days, weeks, months and years seem to fly by, leading to essential things slipping through the cracks. Relationships, mental and physical health, or simply watering the plants are among many things that could crumble without adequate allocated time. And perhaps if time is no longer a critical factor in our decision-making and a lenient view of scheduling could open up portals to infinite possibilities that exist when we are not in a constant state of flux.

A pandemic in the past two years has led the entire world to experience the blessings of slowing down. Suddenly everybody had time to take a break from the hustle and bustle but also to partake in things that there was no time for before the lockdown.

The exhibited artists display a keen use of time within their works, capturing the mood of being present in the "Now". The showcased works are intricate, meticulous, and time-consuming in their own right. Although the leisure view of time could allude to a sense of laziness, there is nothing lazy about any of these artists' work. For artists, time is always a consideration in producing their works. However, the commitment to the end result takes precedence over this factor.
