word count: 16.3k (i could say i'm sorry but i'm not)
warnings: SMUT! afab reader, unprotected sex, oral (f receiving). this is unedited and i am sorry about that
masterlist / part one
"mommy, where's daddy?"
"he's at home, sugar," you answer violet. she's been asking about her dad a lot more lately, considering she now knows that san, her pe teacher, is her father. the two of you told violet the same night that you told san, and at first you worried that was the wrong choice. you were worried this would be too much for violet all at once and she wouldn't understand, so you and san came up with a plan.
you still drove violet to school every day, but she'd come home with san. he'd always bring her back to your house and watch her until you got home. every other night, the two of you would make dinner, or san would treat his girls to whatever they wanted if you were too lazy to cook. on the weekends, he and violet had daddy daughter days where he took her to the park, to birthday parties, friend's houses for playdates, the store...they went anywhere and everywhere together. daddy daughter days were always followed by family fun days where san would spend the night and wake up with you in his arms and violet knocking at the door asking to play. these were his favorites (and yours too) because it was just a glimpse of how wonderful your life as a family could be.
it was so hard for san to leave, though. he hated going back to his empty apartment during the week, and family fun days usually carried over into monday morning. the only thing stopping san from coming back and staying that night, and the next, and the next..the only thing stopping him was you.
you claim you were too afraid of changing violet's schedule so quickly, because san was, in a way, still a stranger to your daughter. you were afraid of doing anything that would hurt violet now or later on in life, so you wanted to take things slow with san. in reality, you were afraid of opening your own life to him. you know he's a great dad, you know you can trust him with violet, but you're afraid of trusting him with yourself. honestly, violet has been handling this great. now it's just you that needs to adjust.
you will say, the only growing pain so far is 1) getting violet to refer to san as mr. choi still at school and 2) getting her to not call him mr. dad at home. other than that, she's loving this whole dad thing. she's got another playmate, a new best buddy, a partner in crime. it's so cool seeing violet and san bond finally, and every day you catch yourself loving them both more and more.
"when we finish dinner, can we call him?" she asks. (she saw him less than an hour ago.)
"as soon as you eat your broccoli," you tell her, and you have to stifle a laugh at the way she rolls her eyes. your little drama queen. she listens though, because she's done with her food in record time. you let her take your phone and call her dad, laughing at the way she's speaking a mile a minute as soon as he picks up.
while violet and san talk, you clean up dinner. you don't have to do much, because san did most of your dishes while he waited for you to get home from work today. you're trying to balance the mess in your fridge and find space for the leftovers when you notice something you don't remember buying. you pull it out and see a handwritten note, from san, telling you he bought your favorite dessert "just because." you're pulling it from the fridge to sneak a couple bites without violet knowing when she appears in the doorway, your phone smooshed between her cheek and her shoulder. squeezed in her hands is san's old pillow, shiber, and she plays with it as she asks, "mommy? can daddy spend the night?"
"huh?" you laugh, recognizing how odd that sentence is. it's just another reminder for you that you need to get comfortable with san being here, being with you, because the longer you wait, the less she gets to see of her dad. you can hear san faintly through the phone, and then violet nods, goes, "mhm, she's right here," then passes the phone to you. "daddy said he wants to talk to you."
"is this the handsome man who left a tiramisu in my fridge this afternoon?" you greet him, and you get butterflies in your stomach when you hear his happy laugh.
"and what if it is?"
"thank you, san."
"of course, m'love," he says like it's nothing. "figured you would like it."
"so what's this i hear about you spending the night?" you ask as you try a bite of the tiramisu. it's sweet and comforting, just like san.
"that was violet's idea, i swear-"
"so you won't admit that you miss me?" you tease.
"will you admit that you miss me?" he gives it right back, and you feel your face flush.
"i do," you nod. "i miss you. if you want to spend the night tonight you can. sorry you had to go home-"
"don't say sorry," he cuts you off. "i'll be there in 20."
-
san is at your house in 15 minutes. he lets himself in, which will never not surprise you, because you're so used to being the only person with a key to your house. while you're recovering from the small heart attack of thinking an intruder was opening the front door, violet comes tearing out of her room screeching for her dad. she's so happy to see him, she jumps into his arms and he has to catch himself on the door to stop from falling. you let them have a moment, content to hang off to the side but san pulls you into his side and places a delicate kiss on your cheek.
"hey," he smiles.
"hello," you squeak, and he squeezes you closer to his side. "you want me to take your stuff to our room?"
"our room?" he asks, his smile growing bigger. "you've never called it that before."
"do you want me to take it or not," you deadpan, trying to will the blush away from your cheeks.
"yeah, you can take my stuff to our room," he emphasizes. "i'll get our daughter ready for bed."
"no!" violet whines. "you just got here!"
"you still have school tomorrow, bug," he tells her, booping her nose. "gotta stick to bedtime, but i'll read you an extra book after your bath. ok?"
"ok," she grumbles, wiggling her way out of his arms so she can stomp off to her room. you and san share a laugh and you turn to take his things, but his firm hand tugging your wrist stops you. he pulls you back to his side, cupping his hand under your chin so he can kiss your lips swiftly.
"you know we can kiss in front of her, right?" you whisper to him, but san shakes his head.
"wanted that one to be just for me and you," he says, his hand slipping from your wrist to playfully pat your ass. "go, i'll get her bath started."
"so pushy," you grumble, but you see san smiling from the corner of your eye as you take his things to your room.
not so long after that, you find your little family cuddled up on violet's bed. you're pushed up against the wall, violet smushed into your side, and san's broad form takes up the rest of the bed. he's reading a book to violet that's putting you and your daughter to sleep, and before you know it you've drifted off. you register a soft kiss to your forehead, the bed shifting a little, and then you fall into the deepest sleep you've had in years.
you wake up the next morning in a similar way, except this time, you feel two pairs of lips kissing you. you open your eyes to violet kissing your cheek and san pulling back from kissing your forehead. they're both dressed for school, and you sit up in a panic, mumbling incoherently.
"shh, baby, go back to sleep," san soothes you. "i'll take violet to school, i reset your alarm so you can rest a little more before you have to leave for work."
"what?" you ask groggily, and san explains that the three of you fell asleep in violet's bed. she woke up before her alarm, which woke san up, and he made their breakfast and packed their lunches while violet got dressed. there was nothing for you to do but sit there confused, a pleasant feeling blossoming in your chest. "i guess i'll see you tonight then?"
"you will," san nods, brushing some hair out of your face. "now please, go back to sleep."
"no," you shake your head, reaching for violet. "goodbye hugs. have a good day at school, sugar."
"i will!" she chirps. "it's a pe day, so i get to eat lunch in daddy's office!"
"ooo, i'm jealous," you say as you let her go. you blow san a kiss as he ushers violet out of her room, and he catches it dramatically and pops it into his pocket. he winks at you before he closes the door, reminding you one last time to rest before he leaves. when you hear the front door close, you let yourself fall back onto violet's pillows, catching the scent of san lingering in the sheets. you could get used to mornings like this.
-
san and violet have a great day at school. as promised, she got to eat lunch in his office, and she felt like the coolest person in the world getting walked back to class by her dad. hand in hand they go back to miss jen's room, meeting the class outside as they take a potty break. violet runs to join her friends, so san stops to say hi to jen.
"we missed you at lunch today," she says. "wooyoung thought you were having a conjugal visit with your wife."
"shut up."
"his words, not mine," she says, putting her hands up. "but violet told me you brought her to school today? is y/n ok?"
"yeah, she's fine," san shrugs. "i just figured she could use the sleep, so i got violet ready and brought her with me this morning."
"you spent the night?" jen wiggles her eyebrows.
"it's not like that," san laughs. "we all slept in violet's bed, no funny business."
"that's fucking cute," jen whispers, her eyes looking over her class to make sure they didn't hear her use a bad word. "things must be going well then!"
"it was violet's idea, me spending the night," san sighs, "but y/n was fine with it, so i guess, yeah, things are great."
"why don't you ask to move in? i know you want to."
"y/n would say no," san shakes his head. "she's not ready for that."
"then we'll make her ready!" jen decides. "i need you two to be madly in love already. i'm living vicariously through you right now."
"if you would just go on a date with wooyoung-"
"stop," jen points a harsh finger in san's face. "we are friends."
"friends who like each other-"
"come on, class, let's go!" jen calls for her kids, and san sticks his tongue out at her as she hurries off. if jen can play matchmaker with him and y/n, then san has every right to get her to realize wooyoung is obsessed with her. he'll bring it up to y/n tonight, see what else they can do.
-
seeing as you and san are trying to figure this whole estranged friends turned lovers turned parents thing out, one thing you struggle with is finding moments just to be a couple together. you and san never dated, really. yes, some of your time in college could constitute as the early stages of a relationship, but that doesn't really count. you're not sure you and san have ever been on a date under the premise of it being a date, but you are absolutely dating. he's your boyfriend, and you're his girlfriend. it feels trivial trying to define what you are to each other considering the circumstances, so you and san barely talk about it. it hasn't come up in a while, actually, but one friday while you're picking violet up from school, san approaches your car with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"hey beautiful," he greets you, leaning down to give you a kiss as yeosang (mr. kang, the librarian) helps violet into her carseat. at the sound of your lips popping apart from san's, yeosang gasps dramatically with violet.
"how dare you do that in public," yeosang shakes his head. "there's children present."
"mommy and daddy kiss all the time," violet tells him, and you all stifle laughs at the disgust in her voice.
"thanks for the help, man," san calls to yeosang as he heads off to grab the next carpooler. san ducks his head back into your car to ask, "what are you doing tonight?"
"hmm, nothing really," you think. "somebody has to help me clean the living room," you say with a glance to violet in the rearview, and she looks around like she can't hear you, "but other than that we're not busy. why?"
"let me take you out," san smiles.
"just me?"
"yep."
"what's our kid gonna do?"
"wooyoung can watch her," san shrugs, and you look at him skeptically. "orrr we could bother jen last minute-"
"she's got a date," you inform him, and san looks sad for a moment. "what's wrong with that?"
"that's gonna kill wooyoung," he sighs. "but whatever. he'll be fine with violet, he handles a third grade class on his own and so far he's only killed a fish."
"what?"
"baby, please," san starts to beg, grabbing one of your hands in his bigger ones and squeezing tight. "i would like to go on a date with you tonight. please say yes."
"of course i'll go out with you sannie," you reply, using your free hand to reach out and push some of his hair out of his eyes. "if you trust wooyoung with violet, then sure. just tell me where to be and when."
"be ready at seven," san smiles so big you're afraid it'll split his face. "i'll pick you up. dress sexy."
"san!"
"mommy, what does sexy mean?"
"sorry," san smiles still, leaning in to kiss you one last time. "see you later. bye bug!"
"bye daddy!"
-
you've always tried to be a good role model for violet, to show her what a strong woman looks like. you're not sure how that's translating tonight though, because you're stressing so much about this date with san that violet, in her little kid ways, is trying to comfort you. first she brought you her favorite stuffie to keep you company while you got ready. while you showered and stressed over your makeup, violet cleaned her toys in the living room without being asked. when she finished that and saw you were still frantic, she just climbed on your bed amidst the piles of clothes and started giving her own advice.
"daddy likes when you have sparkles on your eyes," she suggests, and you know she means glittery eyeshadow. san says it makes your eyes look like the night sky, and it always makes your stomach flip.
"if i wear that eyeshadow, then i need to wear one of these," you say as you hold up your outfit options. "these colors go together best."
"really?" violet scrunches her face up.
"yes? why?"
"that shirt is ugly," she says bluntly, pointing to the hanger in your right hand. "but i don't like that dress either. it's a yucky color."
the "yucky" color was an olive green, which you thought wasn't that bad, but violet had a point. the shirt was ugly now that you looked at it, and if she hated the dress too...
"what do you think i should wear, baby?" you ask as you try to organize the mess on your bed. "you pick."
"mmm, something blue," she says confidently, so you help her look. surprisingly, she puts together an outfit that you really like. violet stands in front of you in the floor length mirror, staring up at you proudly. you lean down to squeeze her into a tight hug, kissing her cheek before telling her this outfit is perfect.
violet looks so pleased with herself as you stand back up and watch her in the reflection. you focus a lot on how violet looks like san, but every once in a while you look at her and get this indescribable feeling of recognition in your chest. she is your daughter through and through, and you love sharing moments like these with her. as you stand there, you quickly notice that same glint of mischief you've seen in san's eyes before as she says, "do you think daddy's gonna call you sexy again?"
-
san comes over early with wooyoung in tow. the first thing he says when he enters your home isn't a hello, a nice to meet you, or anything remotely polite. he looks you dead in the eyes and asks, "why is jen on a date with seonghwa?!"
"excuse me?" you ask, looking from him to your date. san just shrugs before running off to find violet, leaving you all alone to answer wooyoung's interrogation.
"i mean, i've only been in love with her for years and instead of going out with me she picks this guy just because he's new and shiny and annoying.." wooyoung grumbles.
"you're annoying too, man," san says as he enters the room with violet in his arms.
"hi mr. wooyoung," she chirps, and wooyoung smiles warmly at her.
"hey violet! i'm your dad's best friend, so i think you and i will be best friends, too."
"i thought mommy was his best friend," violet pouts, and that sends wooyoung into another rant.
"you can have more than one best friend," you tell your daughter. "mommy has more than one best friend, and nobody is upset about that," you shoot wooyoung a look, and the mom eyes get him to shut up. "also, if you've been in love with jen for years then you've had plenty of chances to ask her out. sorry that seonghwa manned up and did it before you-"
"wooyoung, let me show you where all of vi's stuff is," san cuts in, afraid that you and wooyoung were about to get into a catty argument. you'd be late for your reservation if san let you keep going, so he runs through all the important things for wooyoung as you finish making violet's dinner. you don't hear san join you in the kitchen, too distracted by the sound of wooyoung and violet pretending to be what sounds like fighter pilots in the living room. you jump when san wraps his hands around your waist, sliding under the apron you tied over your dress to keep it pristine while you cooked.
"hey gorgeous," he whispers into your ear, and you feel goosebumps erupt over your skin as his lips trail from your ear down the column of your neck and to the exposed skin on your shoulder. he turns you around, hands still firmly around your waist, and he kisses you quickly. against your lips, he whispers, "this dress is gonna kill me."
"you'll be fine," you whisper back, hands rubbing over the crisp black fabric struggling to stay buttoned over his broad chest. you take him in then, the all black outfit making him look so handsome it's almost intimidating. the way his shirt is buttoned all the way to his neck, though...
"what's wrong?" san asks, his thumb rubbing at the crease between your eyebrows. "is my shirt wrinkly?"
"no, you just look like a waiter-"
"y/n," san whines, his hands squeezing your waist. "seriously baby?"
"well it's just," you start, your fingers finding their way to the collar of his shirt. "with all the buttons done up, yes, you look like a - very handsome - waiter. i think it'd look better this this," you mumble, undoing the top few buttons. now it's san's turn to get goosebumps, little tingles traveling across his skin as your fingers brush against his neck. you readjust his collar to show a little more skin, and you smile, satisfied with your work when you notice how flushed he is.
"better?" he asks as he clears his throat, and you nod.
"will you get violet in here? her food is ready."
once violet is set up at the kitchen table with her dinner, you and san start to say your goodbyes. you're running through violet's nighttime routine with wooyoung, and the boys assure you that you'll come home to your daughter in one piece.
"i've watched kids before, y/n," wooyoung says. "violet will be fine."
"you know i'll kick your ass if we come home and she's not," san says, and you hit his arm as violet calls out, "swear jar, daddy!"
"ok, we really need to go," you say. "we're gonna be late-"
"wait!" wooyoung shouts, getting up from the kitchen table with his phone out. "baby's first date. i need to get a picture."
"wooyoung," you groan as san says, "let him, baby. it'll be cute."
so you let wooyoung dramatically take pictures of you and san together, treating this more like senior prom than a date with someone you've known for almost ten years. san is eating this up, but you're trying to fight it. he's wrapping you in his arms, trying to kiss you for the photos, and you can't help it, you become a giggly mess. wooyoung is cooing over you two as he snaps the photos, but your eyes find violet watching from the kitchen. she's smiling, and it almost makes you tear up. you hope violet remembers moments like this as she gets old, and remembers how much you love san and how much he loves you. you want this same kind of love for her, something pure, protective, and so caring. you want this girl's standards so high, because she deserves all the love in the world. you wonder for a moment if you've found that kind of love, and when san calls your name to lead you out the door, you know. the look in his eyes tells you just how loved you are.
-
you and san share a beautiful evening together. san took you into the city to one of your favorite restaurants, and you were spoiled all night. dinner was delicious, the champagne was just strong enough that you're just tipsy but still very aware of how warm san makes you feel, and you share a dessert that you took turns feeding to each other. as far as "first" dates go, this was absolutely perfect.
neither of you wanted to leave, but you knew you had to get home for violet. she's on your mind as you make the short walk back to san's car, and a sign in the distance catches your eye. you turn to san with a twinkle in your eyes and say, "let's get donuts."
"what? baby, aren't you stuffed?" he asks, but you shake your head and grab his hand anyway. you lead the way to the donut shop a few blocks down, san following behind you with a content smile on his face. he'd follow you anywhere, he thinks. hell, if you wanted to run down this street until you ran out of road he'd follow you. he's glad the trek isn't that far though, but he wonders briefly if your shoes will be able to make the walk back to the car.
"violet will be so stoked to have donuts for breakfast tomorrow," you finally explain, and san nods along as you pick out what's left from the day. you're still gripping his hand firmly in yours, so you struggle to reach your purse when it's time to pay. san uses his free hand to take out his wallet, paying before you have a chance.
"still date night, still my treat," he whispers to you before kissing the top of your head. he takes the bag of donuts from the cashier as you both call out your thanks, and san sees you grab a couple napkins before he tugs you out of the store.
"gimme," you reach out for the bag, and san holds it out to you. you search for something, tongue peeking out between your lips in concentration. when you find what you want, you pull it out with one of the napkins, presenting a strawberry frosted donut with sprinkles. you take a bite, humming at the sweetness, and then you hold it up in front of san's face. "take a bite, it's really good."
"i'm full my love," he tells you, but you bump the donut into his mouth anyway. when he laughs, you try it again and aim for his open mouth, but he keeps managing to pull away. laughing softly, you come to a stop at a red light, and you decide to address something.
"san? you know i love you right?" you ask, and san looks at you in confusion. "what? you didn't know?"
"no, i knew," he shakes his head. "but, baby, i don't think we've said that to each other before."
"yes we have," you scoff, but san shakes his head again.
"as friends, yeah. but not seriously."
"oh."
"yeah."
"sorry?"
"sorry?" san chuckles, the light turning so you can cross the street. he watches you carefully try to navigate the bumpy crosswalk, and when you look back up at him he sees that you're blushing.
"yeah, i'm sorry i said it like that for the first time," you shrug. "like it wasn't a big deal."
"it's still a big deal," he assures you.
"but that's not how you're supposed to tell someone you love them!"
"i think we just do things differently, baby."
"whatever," you mumble. you're stopped at another light, so you turn to him fully, eyes holding his gaze, and say, "choi san, i love you."
"y/f/n," he replies, "i love you even more."
"oh really?"
"yeah," he nods. "like, way more."
"hmm."
"and you know what?" he asks. you hum in reply, and he continues. "i think your name would sound a loooot better with my last name."
"what?" you stop in your tracks. "are you-"
"i'm not proposing," he laughs. "just flirting, a little bit."
"oh so we're flirting now?" you ask. "then might i say, your ass looks great in those slacks."
"classy," san squeaks out. you're coming up on the street where you parked, and you stop san before he can turn. he's about to ask why, but you just point up toward the buildings ahead. it's a clear night, so you can almost see the stars in the night sky, but the skyline is glittering in front of you so beautifully it takes your breath away. you stand together admiring it, and only when you turn to find san already looking at you do you pull him in the direction of the car.
he unlocks the car from your side, but you stop him before he can leave. you wrap your arms around his neck, lean your face close to his, and whisper, "i love you so much, san." you kiss his forehead, then his nose, then his lips, and he boxes you in so you're pressed against the cool metal of the car as he deepens the kiss. you make out for what feels like only a few seconds, but when san finally pulls away you notice you're out of breath.
"let's go home," he whispers, a fire in his eyes you've only seen once before. you've got butterflies in your stomach as san drives home, a firm hand on your thigh the whole way. you're watching him the whole drive, and san tries to focus on the road. he steals glances as much as he can, and when you get close to your house you start to get antsy. you place your hand on his, pushing it ever so slightly farther up your leg, and san's other hand is gripping the wheel so hard he's afraid it'll snap. he speeds the final few minutes back to your house, and as soon as the car is off he's grabbing your face and crashing his lips on yours. your hands start at his shoulders and slowly make their way down...and then there's a buzzing sound coming from somewhere. you want to pull away and look for the phone, but san holds you tightly in place. you have to speak directly into his mouth to ask, "who is it?"
"who cares?" san mumbles back into your lips. he keeps kissing you, and the buzzing dies out. but then you feel your purse start to vibrate by your feet, and you push san away with a pop as his lips disconnect from yours, his mouth still pursed and eyes closed like he doesn't believe you actually pushed him away. you reach for your phone, mumbling about how it could be an emergency, and when you show him that it's wooyoung, you think you've been vindicated. you answer and ask quickly, "is violet alright?"
"i'm not getting paid for you two to make out in your driveway," wooyoung replies, and your head falls back with a sigh.
"you're not getting paid at all, wooyoung."
"what?!"
"thanks man!" san shouts into your phone. "totally ruined the moment!"
"good!" wooyoung shouts back. "i'm bitter! and bored! come inside!"
"i'm gonna punch him," san tells you as you collect your things. he's out of the car before you and rushes to open your door.
"you are not," you roll your eyes. "just get him out of the house quickly, please."
"fine," san grumbles as you get your keys out to unlock the door. wooyoung is faster though, tearing the door open with a big smile on his face.
"welcome home lovebirds," he greets you with a sweep of your arms. you almost gasp when you see your house, because it's cleaner than you've maybe ever seen it. you look to wooyoung in shock, and he shrugs. "told you, i was bored. violet's been asleep for about two hours, so i needed something to do."
"you cleaned my house," you say in disbelief, peeking around corners and seeing things neatly put away, blankets folded, dishes washed and dried. you turn to wooyoung and say, "i think i might love you."
"whoa," san jumps in. "let's not say things we don't mean."
"whatever," you say, still looking around in surprise. "wooyoung i take back anything bad i ever said about you."
"you said bad stuff about me?" he pouts, and you remind him, "jen? not asking her out when you're both obviously into each other?"
"you think jen's into me?" wooyoung asks, and it's his turn to be shocked.
"he's never gonna leave now," san sighs as he comes up behind you and tucks his head onto your shoulder. "i've told you that before, man."
"yeah, but you're not a reliable source," wooyoung chides. he's about to say something else, but you cut him off.
"listen, i'd be happy to tell you how in love jen is with you, but maybe another time," you say, trying to use the mom eyes on wooyoung again to get him to leave. it seems to work, because he looks between you and san with a knowing look in his eyes.
"right, right, you two probably wanna get busy," he nods, and you feel san groan rather than hear it. "i'll leave you to it, violet was telling me how she wants a baby brother-"
"alright man, i'll see you later," san says as he detaches from you and pushes wooyoung toward the door. you watch them bicker a little before san shoves his friend outside and closes the door softly after. he leans against it and sighs, eyes reopening to find you watching him. "c'mere."
you saunter over to him, hands cupping his chin as you place a chaste kiss to his lips. you think if you step back and head for your room he'll follow you, but instead he grabs you by the hips and spins you around so you're pressed against the door. he makes sure there's no space between you, your chest pressed to his and his hips slotted over yours as he leans down for another kiss. he slowly trails his lips down your chin, across your neck, and stops right where your collarbone dips down slightly. he sucks a kiss into your skin, relishing in the way your breath catches as you try to stay quiet. he stays there, biting and kissing at your neck, and you reach up with a shaky hand to snake your fingers through his hair. you pull him off of you, a sounds close to a growl coming from deep within san's chest. you stare into his eyes, that flame still flickering from before.
"let's go to our room," you say breathlessly, and san nods. before you can stop him, he's scooping you up in his strong arms and carrying you to the bedroom, a squeal dying on your lips as he kisses you harder. he's able to kick the door closed before he tosses you down on the bed. you watch as he undoes his belt and tosses it to the ground, and you giggle.
"somebody's eager," you tease, and san groans.
"been waiting too long for this, damn right i'm eager," he mumbles as he crawls on top of you. he kisses you again, and this time it's messier, more teasing, and it takes you back to the first time you and san were in this position. you remember how he made you feel like your skin was on fire, and you feel that same way now. he breaks away from you and just stares, which starts to weird you out.
"earth to sannie?" you whisper. "what are you doing?"
"admiring you?" he smiles. "sorry, i got distracted."
"you got distracted staring at me?"
"yeah?"
"you're sickening," you tell him before kissing him again. this time, you wrap your legs around his hips and flip him over so you're straddling his lap. san has that same dopey look on his face from a second ago, so you decide to do something that will break this sappy haze he seems to be in. "so i was going to take my dress off, but i'm not wearing much underneath it..."
"baby," he whines, holding your hips and kind of kicking around like he's having a tantrum. "why didn't you tell me that sooner?"
"we never would've left," you answer, and he shuts up. you lean down to kiss him, and over his lips you tell him, "and if we hadn't gone on our perfect date, i wouldn't have told you i loved you," you kiss him, "and knowing you, if we had stayed home, this would've been faster," kiss, "more frantic," kiss, "and what's the fun in that? we took our time getting here. why don't we enjoy it?"
"exactly," san growls, using his hands on your hips to pull you closer to the tent in his pants. you gasp at the friction, so san moves your hips again, and again, as he says, "we've waited this long. i don't want to wait anymore, just wanna make love to you."
"oh you do?" you ask as your hands find the buttons on his shirt. you trail kisses across his jawline as you undo his shirt, sitting up to admire his broad chest as your hands slide under the fabric and push it away. san refuses to let go of you, so you leave his shirt hanging off his shoulders as you trace over every freckle, every line, every curve of his chest. your hands trail lower, reaching the waistband of his pants, and san grabs both of your hands in one of his to stop you.
"take your dress off," he says lowly, and you feel his words in the pit of your stomach.
"not fair," you pout, but he shakes his head.
"wanna see you," he says, already breathless. his hands find the hem of your dress, fingers tracing along your skin and sending goosebumps across your thighs. he helps you push the skirt of the dress up, and he lets out a hiss of breath when he sees your panties, almost the same shade of blue as the dress. you keep pulling the fabric up and over your body, and san moans softly when he sees you weren't wearing a bra. "baby, you're gonna be the death of me."
"told you there wasn't much underneath," you laugh as you pull his hands from their slow ascent up your legs. you bring them to your chest to cup your boobs, and san sighs at the soft feeling. you lean back down over him, replacing your mouth on his. you make out like that for a while, san getting lost in the feeling of having you this way again. he doesn't know how he went years without this. he curses himself for all the lost time, but he smirks into your mouth as he thinks of all the ways he can make up for it in the future. you feel the shift in his features, so you pull back and ask, "what are you thinkin about?"
"about how much i love you?" he tries, and you don't fall for it. he squeezes your chest as he admits, "thinkin about all the ways i wanna have you this weekend."
"have me?" you tease him, and he nods. "what's the first one?"
"want you to ride me."
"you sure? we made a baby like that the last time," you tell him as you unbutton his slacks anyway. you're both impatient, so you don't even try to get his pants off, just low enough for you to cup the bulge in his boxers before you pull those down too. his cock springs free, and you spit in your hand before wrapping your fist around it. you stroke him a few times, even though it's not necessary. san might be harder than he's ever been right now, but you can't help it. he's moaning beneath you so beautifully, you get lost in the sound until he moans out your name.
"y/n, please," he groans. "just sit on it, please. need to feel you, baby."
"what if i wasn't ready?" you ask, but you pull your panties to the side anyway.
"could feel you soaking my pants," san smirks. "can't be cocky when i know exactly how bad you want me, baby."
"shut up," you mumble, trying to focus on guiding his tip to your entrance. you feel his tip against you and you hiss, you forgot how big he was. you lower yourself on his cock, moaning softly as san holds onto your hips for dear life to keep from bucking up into you. he waits for you to settle in his lap, no space left between you, and then he lets out a deep breath.
"feels so good, y/n," he sighs. "like your pussy was made for me."
"i need a minute," you tell him, and he rubs soothing circles into your skin.
"take your time my love," he says. your eyes are screwed shut, genuinely not used to feeling this full, and san reaches a hand up to your face to soothe the tension away. his other hand travels to your core, swiping through the arousal dripping from you so he can drag his finger up to your clit. he draws lazy circles around it, tapping over the bundle so softly. if you weren't so desperate for his touch, maybe you wouldn't be jerking at each little movement, but it's helping you relax.
you feel ready to move, and you place your hands over san's stomach for leverage as you pull off of him, leaving just the tip in. san's going crazy, he's trying to hard to go at your pace, to let you take your time, but he's losing that battle fast. he watches as you bounce above him, cupping your chest and focusing on your nipples so he doesn't put all his attention on how bad he wants to fuck up into you, to make another baby with you. he wants to enjoy this, like you said, he wants to take it slow if that's what you want, but god, he wants so much more.
"how do you feel baby?" he asks, and you whimper in response. that alone could kill a weaker man, he thinks, but the way you're gripping around his cock, how warm you are, how beautiful you sound, he's not going to last long. you put the final nail in his coffin when you whine out, "you feel so good sannie, missed you, missed your cock..."
san can't take it anymore, he grabs onto your hips again and slams you down onto his cock. he holds you there for a second, letting you feel every inch of him as you squirm in his lap, and just when he thinks you're about to tap out he grinds into you. you didn't think he could get deeper, but you can feel him in your gut. he pulls you up and guides you back down, and he does this a few more times before you finally gasp out, "'m close, sannie, 'm gonna come-"
and that's all he needs to hear. he holds you in place above him, braces himself from below, and starts fucking up into you. he's been waiting for this, god he's waited for this, and he wants to ingrain everything into his memory. the way you look, the way you sound, the way you feel. it's overwhelming, and he can't help it, he starts to come, fucking his load into you as he tries to get you to your own high. he brings his hand back to your clit, and you're gasping above him, coming so hard you think you see stars. san lets you catch your breath above him, his cock still buried deep inside you. he's also afraid that if you move, all his come will leak out, and selfishly, he doesn't want that to happen. he felt his heart skip an excited beat at the idea of having another kid with you, so he's happy to sit and wait until you're ready to move.
"fuck," you whisper as you start to separate from him. "fuck, that felt really good."
"and to think, you deprived yourself of that for so many years," san says with a shit eating grin. you pinch his chest as you get up, but he takes you by surprise and pins you down before you can leave the bed. "where ya goin?"
"to shower?" you reply, and san smirks above you.
"who said i was done lovin you though?"
-
san wakes up the next morning and immediately puts his arms out to find you. he sighs happily as he pulls you into his chest, nuzzling his head into your hair. he takes a deep breath in, thinking not for the first time that he would be happy staying like this for years. he doesn't know how you expect him to leave once this weekend is over, condemned to come and go just to end up at his lonely apartment each night. he understands why you both decided on this set up, but he hates it. he'll just have to find a way to convince you that you'd be miserable without san here 24/7, and he thinks he's got a good idea to start.
you'd think the three rounds last night would be enough for any regular man, but not san. now that he's had you again he can't help himself. even holding you and feeling your warm breath hit his chest has him shifting to accommodate the growing problem beneath the sheets. he has no idea how he was able to wait years to fuck you, because he can't imagine waiting another second right now. he slowly rolls you back onto your pillow, hoping he won't wake you just yet. he makes sure you're comfortably laid back and then he pushes the sheets away, crawling down until his face is level with your bare stomach.
he leaves light kisses across your skin, starting above your bellybutton and trailing down. he sucks a couple hickeys on the skin of your hips, tracing his thumbs over the reddened marks in satisfaction. you begged him not to leave too many marks last night, but he looks up proudly and sees the result of your lost fight. there's only one or two spots on your neck, but your collarbone and your chest are a different story. san wants you to know you're his, finally his, so if he has to leave daily love bites on your skin to remind you, he will. happily.
he kisses one of the marks on your hips now, licking the skin just to taste you. he feels himself get excited at the thought of really tasting you, and he continues his descent down to your core. he thought about this as you were falling asleep last night, but he's never really seen your pussy. the few times you've had sex, there were just other things on his mind, so now that he can, san takes his time admiring you. he uses his thumbs to pull your lips apart, moaning softly at the sight of his come dripping out of you or dried on your skin. he leans in and places a kiss over your clit, and your legs jerk, but you stay otherwise still. that won't do, san thinks, so he delicately traces your entrance, collecting some of the wetness that's still pouring from you, and strokes your clit. he licks over it carefully, wanting to savor this moment.
his ears perk up as he hears you start to whimper, so he cups his lips around your bundle of nerves and sucks ever so slightly. his fingers trail back to your entrance, dipping in just so, and he sets a steady rhythm of playing with your clit and easing his fingers into your core. he's focused on his work, determined to make you feel good, but he wants more. he switches his fingers up to your clit, your wetness helping them glide over you easily. he kisses down your pussy until he gets to your entrance and dips his tongue in. you stir again, so san repeats his movements, determined to wake you up. he loses himself at the taste of you, and when he thinks about last night, how many times he came inside you, he moans into your core. he's getting impatient, his senses drowning in you. all he can feel is you, all he can taste is you, all he hears is you calling his name...wait-
"sannie, fuck," you gasp above him, your hands pulling at his hair to get him away from your sensitive core, but he holds strong. you try to use your thighs to squeeze his head and push him away, overwhelmed by the feeling of his lips on your pussy, but he reaches up and holds your legs apart so he can eat you like a man starved. now that you're awake, he doesn't have to keep quiet. he's drunk on your pussy, moaning and slurping obscenely, mumbling about how good you feel, how good you taste, how he wants to make you feel good. you can't help it, you start to come, gasping above him trying to take a deep breath. san feels you tighten around his tongue, but he keeps going. he keeps eating your pussy like he'll never get the chance again, and your sleepy haze mixed with the way he's making you feel has your vision spotty and your mind in a haze. he gets you to come again soon after, and you finally whine his name loud enough for him to look up at you, his mouth lazily teasing you as you exhale, "well. good morning."
"morning baby," he smiles, your arousal all over his chin. you whine, and he strokes your thighs comfortingly as he asks, "can you give me another one? still hungry."
"we have donuts."
"they're not as sweet as you," he insists, diving back in. you can't keep up with him, your senses so overloaded with san that you're begging for something but you don't know what. san works you up to another release before giving you a break, crawling up your body and trailing kisses the whole way. you try slapping his chest, but the movement is so weak it only makes him laugh. "what are you doing, love?"
"trying to hit you," you reply. "i'd kick you but i don't think my legs work."
"good, i did my job then," san says happily. he collapses on top of you, and you blush at the feeling of the mess between your legs. with san's chin on your chest, staring at you so content, you flick his nose and he bursts into laughter. "what was that for?!"
"for being perfect. and for turning me into a shell of a woman. i can't move, seriously."
"need me to help you into the shower, doll?"
"no," you shake your head. "i don't trust what you'd do in there."
"nothing out of the ordinary," he smirks, and you flick his nose again. he moves quick, biting your finger before you can move away, and you squeal. with your finger between his teeth he asks, "so? shower?"
"if you can carry me, then yeah," you give in. san pulls himself out of bed, easily lifting you from the bed as you raise your arms to wrap around his neck. he places you delicately on the bathroom counter, laughing with you as you squeal over the cold marble. he runs a bath for you, insisting that if your legs don't work you shouldn't be standing in the shower. he helps you into the warm water once it's ready, and you assume he's going to join you but instead he turns back to your room. "baaabyyy," you whine, and he's in the doorway immediately.
"what's wrong? was it too much? are you sore?" he asks in worry, but you shake your head and make grabby hands for him in response. he smiles as he comes closer, holding your hands in his as he asks, "are you always this needy after sex?"
"yep," you reply. "get used to it. and get in the tub with me."
"can't," san sighs, dipping down to give you a kiss anyway. "i'm getting dressed and then checking on our daughter."
"she's probably still asleep," you say as you lay your head on the cool porcelain edge of the tub.
"then i won't be gone long," san tells you before ducking back out of the bathroom. you keep your head on the tub though, admiring him from afar. you love having him here, you think. you wonder if he'd be ok with staying longer than just a weekend.
-
while san took care of violet, you got an idea. you enjoyed the rest of your bath, but as soon as you were dressed you got down to business.
you were buried amongst boxes, piles of clothes, and shoes you'd never wear when san and violet come looking for you. you hear violet run into your bedroom calling for you with san right behind her, not sure if you were decent or not. when they don't see you in the bedroom, san peeks into the bathroom as vi goes for your closet, and she giggles when she sees you on the floor.
"mommy, what are you doing?" she asks, kneeling down in the mess anyway.
"i'm cleaning out my closet, bug," you answer. you push a box toward her and say, "call for your dad, i want him to look through those."
"i'm right here," san appears, popping his head through the door. he looks at you quizzically, then decides to go with it and kneel next to violet.
"i'm cleaning out my closet," you repeat. "i want you to go through that box next to vi, that's all of her work from preschool. you can keep any of it that you want."
"really?"
"yeah, we've got plenty of it around the house, and i've basically made wallpaper out of it for my office, so i figured you might like some," you shrug.
"thank you baby," he smiles, dimples on full display. you watch fondly as he settles on the ground, violet climbing into his lap almost as a reflex. they sit together and go through everything, violet giving commentary on what she remembers and calling on you to explain what she doesn't. you're constantly in motion, trying to organize your clothes and make piles of what you can donate. you turn to your family every so often for opinions, violet giving it to you straight when she thinks something is ugly, and san being no help at all. he just says you'll look great in whatever you're holding up, and borders on compliments too vulgar for your daughter to hear. it's a good thing violet knows how to speak her mind, because with her brutal honesty and a good idea of what clothes will drive san insane, you're left with the perfect amount of clothes.
you won't take any outside input on which shoes to donate, though. that's a personal decision for you, and san is smart enough to stay out of it. violet, on the other hand, picks up her favorite shoes and tries them on, laughing with glee when she trips and san has to dive to catch her. she asks if she can keep some of the shoes for herself, but knowing how expensive they are, you try to find nice ways to tell her to back off. san promises to buy her "mommy shoes" and that seems to satisfy her, but now she's bored and wants to go play. you shoot san a sympathetic glance as he's pulled out of the closet by your hyperactive kid, and then you're alone. you step back and look at the space you were able to clear, and you think that should be enough for san's things. you can always use the hall closet if he needs more space, but he's a man, how many clothes does he need?
"hey," he whispers from behind you, making you jump. you would turn around to talk to him, but he wraps his arms around you and sways your bodies from side to side as he informs you, "i got her set up with a movie. i love that girl, but i needed a break."
"thank you for giving me the morning to myself," you tell him, leaning your head back on his shoulder. you turn to place a kiss on his jaw, whispering against his skin, "you're so wonderful to me. and to violet. we're very lucky ladies."
"and i'm a lucky man," he responds. his eyes fall to the pile of violet's work on the floor, and he separates from you to pick it up. he shows you the stack and says, "got enough for my apartment and my office. there's not much left in the box, though."
"that's fine," you brush it off. "i needed the space in here, so."
"hey, did you eat this morning?" san asks while he tucks violet's work into his duffel bag. when he stands up fully he points an accusing finger at you. "i wore you out twice and you haven't eaten, that's not good for your health."
"you're not good for my health," you scoff. "last time i was this sore was after labor."
"sorry," san says sheepishly. he reaches for your hand and tugs you toward the door. "come on, let's get you some food and then hang with violet. i put on one of your favorites."
-
the rest of the weekend passes by in complete bliss. it's like that night with san bridged any gaps that timing and poor decisions might have created between you, and you've never felt more in love or more like a family than you do right now. but there's a pit in your stomach as you sit with san and violet at the dinner table, knowing that san needs to go back to his apartment tonight. he didn't pack any work clothes, so he really needs to leave, but he so doesn't want to. he wonders how many more weeks he can get by with going to his place just long enough for you to miss him and call him back home. meanwhile, you're wondering how you can inconspicuously get jen and wooyoung to help move san's things to your house on such short notice. san checks the time, and you feel the pit in your stomach tear open as he stands to leave.
"alright girls," he sighs, putting his dishes in the sink. "i guess i gotta go. need to get ready for the week."
"i'll miss you daddy," violet pouts, and san mimics her with a pout of his own.
"i'll miss you even more bug, you have no idea."
you stand and clear your own plate as violet sadly pushes her peas around with her fork, and you catch san staring at her from the doorway. "what's wrong, san?"
"i don't wanna go," he admits. his voice is so quiet you can barely hear him, but he can't say it any louder. it hurts leaving you two, and san isn't sure how many more trips he can take before his heart just kicks it.
"then don't go," you shrug. "move in with us."
"are you serious?" san asks, a smile slowly breaking across his face. he takes two steps and he's in front of you, hands on your waist, asking you again, "are you serious?"
"yeah," you nod. "violet? what do you say? should daddy stay here forever?"
"and ever?!" she adds, making san laugh, a happy squeaky sound that sends your heart soaring.
"i'll stay forever and ever and then some," he agrees. he pulls you into the tightest hug known to man, spinning you around the kitchen as he whispers to you, "this is finally happening."
"it took us long enough, right?" you whisper back, gripping onto his shirt. you squeal as san pushes you off balance, and you realize he's trying to move you toward the kitchen table. he lets go of you long enough to lift violet into his arms and smush her between you both, and then the spinning continues.
"my girls," he smiles proudly. "i love my girls."
-
that monday at work, san feels like superman. he woke up with your head on his chest, he ate breakfast with his girls, and he had a sing along in the car with violet as he drove her to school. he put works of violet art up in his office (and a couple on the gym bulletin board, she was very embarrassed), and he walked violet to her classroom before carpool started so he could tell jen the good news.
"hey violet!" jen greets her, and violet runs up to give her a hug. "how was your weekend?"
"good!" violet replies. "daddy spent the night, and then mommy told me he was staying forever and ever, and then this morning i saw mommy and daddy naked wrestling-"
"she saw you what?" jen hisses, and san has to look embarrassed.
"um, yeah, i wanted to celebrate my first morning moved in, so...we forgot to lock the door, and...yeah. it's been a long morning at the choi household," san explains, and jen pushes his arm surprisingly hard.
"so you moved in?!"
"kind of?" san rubs the spot jen basically punched. "y/n asked me to move in last night, so we filled our cars with some of my stuff and brought it to the house. i'll really move in this weekend."
"well, if you need me and wooyoung to help, you know where to find us," jen offers.
"you and wooyoung?" san wiggles his eyebrows, and jen nods eagerly.
"yep, we're an item now. you and y/n aren't the only ones who did some naked wrestling this weekend."
"please don't say that," san groans, and thankfully, the bell rings to alert teachers to their stations. san stoops down to kiss violet's forehead as he says goodbye, and he rushes off to his carpool spot. he hears jen say as he leaves, "violet, you need to knock before you go into mommy and daddy's room..."
-
you have to admit, living with san is bliss. you didn't know how easy it could be having someone else around to take care of violet, and you especially didn't know how nice it would be to have someone around to take care of you. san was quick to show his love with actions and words, and all he asked for in return was your time. if he had his way, he'd spend every second of every day with you and violet. it hurts to watch you leave for work in the mornings, and it hurts him again when he parts from violet at school. at home, he's always attached to one of you. some nights he's lucky, and he gets you both.
tonight, san stopped by the store for you on the way home because you needed some last minute things for dinner. san got what you needed, plus some wine he knew you'd like, and he got violet her favorite ice cream without her even asking. he had everything ready for you when you got home, and since violet helped get the ingredients she wanted to help cook, too. san always stays in the kitchen with you as you fix dinner, because he likes to clean up after you as you go. he claims it's efficient, but it's also a chance for you to catch up on your days. you're happy to have violet with you tonight, but it did ruin one of your mom secrets.
"what can i help with, mommy?" she asks once she's set up next to you, standing on her tippy toes on top of her step stool.
"you can help me tear the spinach to go into the spaghetti," you show her how to do it, and she copies your actions with a frown on her face.
"what's wrong bug?" san asks, given up on the dishes. he just wants to watch you and violet work together.
"where's the 'pinach going?"
"into the sauce, baby," you answer her. "i always put it into the sauce, it's yummy."
"do i like 'pinach?"
"you like it in spaghetti."
eating dinner together is one of san's favorite things, too. he loves the conversations that come out of violet, and he feels so privileged to see her personality growing and maturing before his eyes. she's an incredible kid, and san reminds you constantly that you did a phenomenal job raising her. you insist that his genes made her an angel to begin with, and that makes san blushy and shy enough to change the subject. he starts to ask you about a work thing, so there's no attention on violet for a moment. she starts giggling though, and when you turn back to her you see that she's slurped noodles so quickly that there's sauce all over her face. it reminds you of a similar mess when she was a baby, so you show san pictures and videos of baby vi that have his stomach doing flips. he asks you to send him those, and you do as he says while he and violet start to clear your plates.
you move into the living room to get ready for one of your favorite shows. it's coming back after a hiatus, so you made it clear this morning you didn't care what san and violet did as long as you got to watch. what you didn't expect was for san to come in from the kitchen with violet in his arms, dumping her down on top of you in a giggly pile. san leaves to grab your favorite blanket and takes his time tucking it around you and vi before he slides in next to you, intertwining his legs with yours and pulling you so your head will lay on his chest. he wraps his arms around you and violet, and sighs happily when he's all done.
"whatcha doin?" you turn your head to his as he flips through the channels, looking for your show.
"we're watching this show together?" he says like it's obvious. "violet told me there's cool stunts."
"and the old guy is funny!" she adds.
"see? cool stunts and a comedic grandpa, i'm sold," san says, kissing the top of your head as the show starts.
"ok, but no talking until the commercial breaks," you mumble, pulling san's arm further around your shoulders so you can hold his hand over your chest.
"is that the old guy?" san asks a minute later.
"baby," you whine. "i said no talking!"
"i have to go potty," violet says a few minutes after that, climbing over the pile of her parents. san watches her go then turns to you, calling your name.
"sannie, please, it's almost a commercial-"
"i want another one," he whispers excitedly, and you look confused for a second before it clicks.
"another kid?" you confirm, and he nods eagerly. "right now? i don't think we have time-"
"no baby," he chuckles. "just. whenever. but sooner rather than later, please. i want at least three, so-"
"three?!" you shriek. "that's a lot of kids for me to push out of my-"
"daddy, can i have some ice cream?" violet asks as she returns from the bathroom.
"of course baby," he responds, sliding his limbs from under and around you slowly. he comes back with violet quickly, and she plops down next to you with san on her other side. they eat in silence, which you're thankful for since your show is back on, but san calls your name and you stifle a groan. you look up to find him holding a spoonful of ice cream out for you, and you let him feed it to you with a soft look in his eyes. he wipes a dribble from the side of your mouth, presenting his finger to you. he tells you with his eyes to taste that next, and as you stare up at him and suck on his finger, you feel your skin erupt in goosebumps. you let go of his finger with a pop and then basically hide under the blanket until the show is over.
as the credits roll, you look to san and see violet curled up in his side, the empty ice cream tub long forgotten. san's carefully stroking violet's back, and when he catches you staring he reaches a hand out for you. you grab it, bringing his knuckles to your lips so you can kiss each one before speaking. against his skin, you whisper, "i'm ready to have another kid with you. but let's start with one, ok?"
-
agreeing to have another kid with san might have been a bad idea. if you thought he was all over you before, now he really can’t keep his hands off you. it's a sisyphean task getting him out of bed in the morning. he grabs onto whenever you pass each other in the house, stealing kisses that he hopes will lead to more. he's rushing through bedtimes with violet so you can have more "mommy daddy time" in violet's words. it's so bad even your kid has noticed! but....you're not complaining. you pretend to hate it, you pretend to resist just to give in later, but really you're eating this up. a match made in heaven, you two!
after a particularly active morning, you decided to work from home for the day. you were feeling under the weather anyway, so it was nice having the option. especially on days like today when san forgets his lunch. he called you about an hour into his day in a panic, already whining that he was going to starve to death. you roll your eyes but listen intently before offering to bring it to him. halfway through the call you found his lunchbox looking lonely in the fridge, so you were happy to spend your lunch break doing something for san. before you head out, you tear off a paper towel and write him a little note like you do when you pack violet's lunch, and then you're out the door.
san said he would be in his office, so you park in the teacher lot and make the short walk to the gym. it's its own building behind the school, so it's quiet as you make your way to san. your footsteps echo on the wooden floor, and an eager san slides out of his office in his desk chair. like an excited puppy, he jogs to meet you halfway and wraps you in a hug, peppering kisses over your face along with whispered thanks.
"what would i do without you, baby?" he asks.
"starve, apparently," you tease, pinching his cheek. "so i guess i'll see you at home?"
"eat lunch with me," he begs, not giving you a chance to answer. he takes the lunchbox in one hand and wraps his other around your waist, leading you to his office. he sits in the rolling chair and walks it back over to his desk while you stand at the door. "you waitin for an invite, doll? get in here."
"where do i sit?" you ask, semi-distracted by the way san has decorated his office. your heart warms seeing so much of violet's work in here, and you blush as you notice the pictures san has printed of you and violet to tack up along with her art. san hasn't replied, so you turn to find him patting his lap with a wiggle of his eyebrows, and you just laugh at him. "i'll stand."
"at least stand closer to me," he whines. "so far away over there."
you sigh, but walk to his desk anyway. you hop up so you're sitting on the one space free of junk, but that puts you directly in front of san. he opens your legs slightly, and you feel your heart rate spike, but he just scoots closer and starts unpacking his lunch. you watch as he focuses on tearing his sandwich equally, his tongue caught between his teeth as he works. you take this time to snatch his chips, feeding one or two to san as he searches for a napkin to wrap your sandwich in. he finds the note you stuffed in there and smiles, a blush creeping over his cheeks as his dimples appear.
"what's this?" he asks in a squeaky voice.
"reminder of how much i love you," you shrug.
"i love you too," san says happily as he straightens the napkin. "thanks for bringing my lunch."
"you said that already."
"well let me thank you another way?" he asks, his hands drifting to your knees and sliding up your thighs. you try to close your legs, pushing him off, but his grip is stronger than yours.
"san, there's kids here."
"so? we're trying to make one-"
"sannie!" you hiss. "no! not at school."
"but no one's gonna be anywhere near the gym for another thirty minutes!"
"what about wooyoung? or jen? don't they come check on you when you don't eat lunch in the teacher's lounge?"
"they can deal," san says, leaning down to trail kisses up your leg. as much as you want to, and god you want to, you can't. not here. so you use your foot to catch the rolling chair and push san back. he thuds into his bulletin board with an "oof!" and you laugh as you hop down. "what are you doing? come back here-"
"ah, i'll see you at home," you tell him. you're almost to the door when he catches up with you, holding onto your waist like his life depends on it.
"just one kiss before you go," he whispers, and you feel yourself nodding before you can say no. he captures your lips in a fierce kiss, moaning as he slides his hands around to grip your ass, but you grab his hands and pull them off of you. you give him one last kiss and then you step back, pointing a finger at him as you say, "you are trouble, mr. choi."
"and you're sexy, mrs. choi," he smirks, watching you leave.
"not your missus!" you shout back, turning to catch him still watching you walk away. he waves teasingly, blowing a kiss that you catch and place over your heart. "i'll see you at home, you crazy man."
-
san tried using the rest of his lunch to plan, but you were right - jen and wooyoung came to find him before lunch ended, so it's really a good thing you didn't take up his offer to fuck in his office. wooyoung makes himself at home, playing with some of the loose equipment as jen asks why san didn't show for lunch.
"i forgot my lunch, so y/n had to bring it to me," he explains, and wooyoung gasps.
"you had sex in here!" he shouts, pointing an accusing finger at san.
"no, we didn't," san sighs. "but i wanted to."
"y/n said no?" jen asks, and san nods. "of course she was the voice of reason."
"what do you both want?" san asks. "shouldn't you be with your classes right now?"
"there's an assembly after lunch, so they're the vp's responsibility," wooyoung smiles evilly. "so you didn't even get some head while y/n was here?"
"wooyoung!" jen shrieks, and he shuts up. "sorry he's disgusting."
"i'm more sorry for you, you're dating the guy," san teases, and jen blushes. "so you both came here to bother me? no other reason?"
"i suspected you had a visit from the milf, so i came to get the low down on that," wooyoung replies.
"and if y/n was here i wanted to talk to her," jen says. "i need to have one conversation with someone sane today."
"you're talking to me!" san says, and jen laughs. "ouch."
"whatever man," wooyoung says as he walks toward the door. "if you're gonna lie and say nothing happened here, then i'm outie 5000."
"actually, i do want to tell you something," san starts nervously. "it's nothing saucy, but i think i need your help. both of you."
"anything," jen says, and wooyoung nods in agreement.
"great," san smiles. "well, uh, i think i'm going to propose to y/n..."
-
there's a daddy daughter dance at the end of the week. san, of course, will be taking violet. that means you need to go shopping! violet needs a new dress, and san has to buy a shirt that matches. violet chose a light purple, her favorite, and insisted on you getting something that color, too. since you were just spending the night at home, you tried to buy a light purple pajama set, but san vetoed it. he made you pick out a dress of your own despite you saying you won't wear it but for five minutes.
"but now we have a family outfit," san smiles. "we can wear it all the time."
"violet, your dad is embarrassing," you say to your daughter, and she nods.
"whatever," he sighs, taking the clothes from you and violet anyway. "i'm just excited to do family stuff with you."
"is family stuff like mommy daddy stuff?" violet asks, and you let san handle that one. you've stopped at the jewelry section, wondering if you can find a necklace for violet to wear. you play with the charm around your neck now, the heart necklace violet gave you. as you're spinning the display around, you hear two sets of footsteps come up behind you.
"whatcha doin mommy?" violet asks, tugging on your hand. you pick her up and point to one of the necklaces, answering, "trying to find something that matches your new dress. do you like this?"
"ooo, yes," she nods at the flower charm you're showing her. "can daddy have one too?"
"not sure that's my style, bug," san squints at the necklace.
"and it's a kid size, it wouldn't fit around your beefy neck," you point out. you look around and your eyes light up as they fall on what you're looking for. you grab violet's necklace and head to a display of rings, holding the necklace up to find something that goes with it. "daddy can wear a ring to match with you at the dance. how's that sound vi?"
you get an enthusiastic yes from her, so the three of you look quietly for a moment. san holds something up and asks what you think, but you shake your head.
"that's too dainty for you," you say.
"for you," san corrects. "do you like it for you?"
"hmm," you inspect the ring, and shake your head. "no, i think i prefer gold jewelry."
"what about this?" san holds up another ring, and you like this one. it's a simple gold band with a purple gem set on a raised back, but you nod and offer san your left hand since violet is currently occupying your other arm. san slides the ring onto your ring finger, but it won't get past your knuckle. san tries his best, but it won't budge, and you can't help but laugh. "hmph. you have chubby fingers."
"hey!" you whine, "that's what having a kid does to you. parts of your body are never the same again."
"really?" san asks. "i never knew that."
"yeah, there's a lot of weird stuff that happens with pregnancy," you shrug. "but i got used to it."
"you'll have to tell me everything soon," san says, cupping your head to pull you in for a forehead kiss. he's distracted now, thinking about something else, and starts to turn back in the direction of the registers when violet reminds him, "daddy! the rings!"
"oh right, thanks bug," he winks at her, and you kiss violet's cheek in thanks. san finds a bigger size and tries it for good measure. it's a perfect fit.
"do you still want a ring?" you ask san, and he searches for a moment before holding one out to you.
"what about this?" he passes it to you, and you cock your head in confusion. "what? you don't like it?"
"hm, i like it," you tell him. "it goes with mine."
"even better," san smiles.
-
the night of the dance can't get here soon enough. violet has been bouncing off the walls excited for it all week, and you know san is looking forward to it too. he told you that he gets stuck overseeing the dance every year because it's in the gym, and he admitted this was the kind of thing he dreamt of taking his own kid to some day. he seems a little nervous though, which you think is sweet.
because he had to plan the dance, the week leading up to it is a busy one at your house. san is constantly stepping outside to take calls, and he's running off to errands throughout the week to make sure everything is perfect. he's taken over the coat closet, claiming there's things in there violet can't see, but he won't let you look in there, either. one afternoon, he catches you peeking and turns a bright red.
"what are you doing!" he squeaks. "you can't see this!"
"why not?" you laugh. "i'm not going to the dance."
"yeah, but if you see it, and then violet asks what you saw, you'll tell her-"
"i'm not a snitch," you scoff.
"well you're usually on her side," san rolls his eyes.
"hey, i'm on your side all the time, babe," you assure him. "but girls gotta stick together, so i guess you have a point."
"exactly," san sighs, checking that the closet is closed before pulling you in for a hug. he inhales deeply and lets out a breath of relief once you're wrapped around him, and you rub his back soothingly.
"you're doing a great job, my love," you tell him. "it's gonna be a great night, everyone will have so much fun, and it'll be all thanks to you."
"i hope you're right," san says, and he hopes you don't catch the quiver of nerves in his voice. he also hopes you can't feel the box of the engagement ring poking out of his pocket. you caught him before he could slip it into the closet, and he's starting to sweat having you so close to it. even though he doesn't want to, he slowly lets you go, stroking your hair as he gets an idea, "hey, can i ask you to do something for me?"
"anything."
"anything?" he smirks, and you smack his arm. "no, i was wondering if you could make pancakes for dinner?"
"really? that's it?" you ask, but he nods like he's completely serious.
"i hear you're better at them now," he teases. "but, i don't know, i've just been so stressed this week, and that's like a comfort meal for me-"
"oh sannie, yes, yes i'll make you pancakes," you promise. "you want chocolate chips?"
"i love you," he says as he nods vehemently. you giggle as you stand on your toes to kiss his cheek.
"dinner will be ready in about thirty minutes then," you tell him. "unless i burn the house down, then we're just going to waffle house."
-
it's the night of the dance. to anyone walking by, it might sound like your house is having a party, but it's just you blaring music while everyone gets ready. you're already in your dress, so you're helping violet while san showers. he was so jumpy when he got home, you're really worried about him. this dance must have been a lot of work for him, so you're glad he'll get to rest when it's done. once san and violet leave, you've got a riveting night of laundry ahead of you so san can come home to a clean, comfy bed to collapse in. you know he'll need it after the week he's had.
you're mentally trying to organize the loads of laundry you have to do while you work on violet's hair. she's digging through your make up bag because you promised she could use eye shadow and lip gloss tonight, and you're both humming along to the music. you don't hear her stop and say something to you, and you certainly don't hear whoever is knocking at the door. violet twists around to look at you, ruining the heart shape you were trying to pull her hair into.
"aw, vi, now i have to start over-"
"mommy, someone's knocking on the door," she cuts you off. you reach for your phone to turn the music down, and she's right, there's someone frantically knocking at the front door. you walk out warily, unsure of who it could be, but you spot a flash of jen's hair through the window. when you open the door, she looks relieved.
"good, you're dressed," she breathes out. upon further inspection, she frowns and says, "but you haven't done your hair? no make up? y/n we're gonna be late."
"what?" you're confused. late for what?
"san didn't tell you? we need you to chaperone the dance," jen explains as she steps inside. that's when you notice she's dressed up too. "one of the fifth grade teachers was supposed to help me with the photo booth, but she's puking everywhere-"
"ew, gross," you stop her. "i mean, san didn't tell me anything, but i guess i can help? i'm not doing anything tonight." looks like you needed this dress after all!
"great," jen smiles. "now about your hair..."
seconds later, violet is standing in front of you while you sit on a kitchen chair as jen works on your hair for you. you're still trying to finish violet's, and then you need to help her with the make up she picked out. you could care less how you look, you'd rather violet get the pampering she wants, but jen is insisting that you "at least need to look put together tonight."
"hey, is san still here?" you ask suddenly. "i don't hear the shower anymore, but he's being awfully quiet if he's home."
"his car wasn't here when i pulled up," jen shrugs. "ok, hair's done! now where's your make up?"
"in violet's room," you reply. she goes to grab it, and when she returns you're done with violet's hair. "how's our girl look?"
"just as beautiful as her momma," jen replies, and she laughs when you and violet blush the same way.
"careful, i'm a taken woman," you warn.
"i could totally take san in a fight for your hand."
"wooyoung would be pretty upset though," you remind her, and now it's her turn to blush. "is he gonna be there tonight?"
"yeah, he's helping san with some of the set up i think."
"so what time do we need to get there?" you ask as you work on vi's make up. "keep your eyes closed, baby."
"ok mommy."
"um, we might need to leave soon," jen barely answers your question.
"that's vague."
"we should leave in fifteen minutes."
"shit, ok," you mumble, then you catch yourself. "jen, can you find my purse? put a quarter in the jar on the counter please."
"two," violet corrects you. "you said the fuck word when the elastic in my hair snapped."
"violet!" you and jen screech.
"now you need to put a quarter in the swear jar," jen jokes, but you have to lecture violet on not using those words while you finish up her eye shadow. you ask her to purse her lips so you can do the lip gloss, and jen says, "she really looks like san, doesn't she?"
"yeah, she does," you smile proudly. "they're both pretty cute, huh?"
"if you have another kid do you think it'll look like you?"
"we'll have to wait and see i guess," you say as you cap the lip gloss. "vi, go like this," and you show her how to rub the lip gloss in. she gets it all over her lips, so you lick your thumb to wipe it off as she tries to squirm away. "alright, my turn. can you show jen where your shoes are baby? i'll finish getting ready if you can help her with shoes and maybe a jacket."
"on it," jen nods. "we gotta leave in ten!"
as promised, ten minutes later, you and violet are in jen's car. you wanted the fun to continue for violet, so you've got music playing as jen speeds toward the school. she kept saying you weren't late, but the way she's driving you wonder if she's lying.
a few minutes later, you can see the school in the distance. you don't know why, but your stomach starts doing flips at the idea of seeing san. you know he's going to look great, so that's enough to make you all excited, but you're more interested in seeing what he's worked so hard on all week. you're staring at the gym as it gets closer, and then jen drives right past the school entirely.
"um, hello?" you call out. "earth to jen? we just passed the school."
"we're not going to the school," jen says simply. what's going on? you look to violet in the backseat, but she's staring out the window, kicking her feet the way you know she does when she's excited. you sit back with a "humph!" and watch as jen drives you to the park down the street. she pulls into the gravel lot and turns off her car before turning to you. "get out."
"what? jen, what is going on?" you ask, but jen is out of the car and won't respond. you're confused as hell, but you unbuckle your seatbelt anyway as jen gets violet out of her car seat. jen meets you at the back of her car, pointing off to the path in the distance.
"you need to go over there."
"i'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's happening," you stand firm.
"come on mommy!" violet chirps. she holds her tiny hand out to you, and you look to jen. she just smiles, so you take violet's hand and walk with her to the wooded path.
"baby, where are we going?" you ask, but violet shakes her head and mimes zipping her lips. can't argue with that, so you succumb to the circumstances and follow her lead. you're looking around, trying to catch any kind of clue. as you come over a hill, you see a clearing in the distance, and you gasp when you see what's waiting for you.
underneath an ivy covered arch stands san. he's dressed in his outfit for the dance, dark grey slacks and a vest with the light purple shirt underneath. he left his hair natural, how you like it, so the ends of his bangs just barely brush over his glittering eyes. he's smiling at you so brightly he could be the sun, and you look down to find violet smiling back at him the same way.
as you get closer, you notice the flower bushes are all violets. san must have brought more though, because there's flower pots and bouquets all around. you close your eyes and take a deep breath, admiring the soft scent flooding your senses. when you open your eyes, san is approaching you shyly, and violet squeezes your hand. you squeeze back even tighter.
"hi gorgeous," he greets you, his voice soft and quiet, like he doesn't want to disturb this moment. he leans in to kiss your cheek, then kneels and says to violet, "you look beautiful, my love. thank you for your help."
"you knew about this?" you ask violet, and she looks to san before she responds.
"YES! daddy told me all these secrets and said mommy can't know, and if i pinky promised not to tell then he would get me the princess bed i want," she explains rapidly, and you look to a sheepish san.
"i'm not proud of the bribe, but she did a good job. you had no idea?"
"san, what is this?" you ask in a nervous whisper. he lifts violet into his arms and then offers you a hand. as he walks you over to a bench beneath the ivy arch, he begins.
"this was my favorite park as a kid," he says as he sits you down and carefully places violet between you. he holds onto your hand as he speaks, his thumb stroking over your knuckles softly. "and when i moved back here after college, this was the first place i came. i missed you so much already, and i needed someplace to clear my head. i found myself here a lot, actually. i would walk the entire path just thinking about you, wondering how you were, wondering if i should reach out, try to make things right. it became a habit. i'd come here every time i missed you, and i wouldn't leave until i got you off my mind. then, out of nowhere, you show up at school. i noticed you, that first day. i noticed violet," and as he says her name he boops her nose. over her giggles, he continues.
"i saw her walking in and thought, man, that kid sure looks like me," san smiles sadly, and you squeeze his hand. "so as soon as school ended, i was over here, pacing and wondering again how i could reach out. then i caught you parking in the wrong spot-"
"i didn't know where else to go!" you defend yourself, and san chuckles.
"you not knowing where to go worked in my favor, because it was like someone shouting in my face, hey! here she is! don't lose this chance! so i knew i had to wiggle my way back into your life somehow. it wasn't until you mentioned violet, her name, that i felt something inside me. again, i came back here, to this spot, and thought about what to do. as i sat here, i noticed all the violets around me, and i knew. i've always thought we were meant to be together, but that day i knew for sure. i wanted to be in your life. in violet's life. forever."
"and ever," violet whispers, making you and san both laugh. as you quiet down, you stare at san, and that warm feeling you get in his presence rushes over you. finally, you think. finally finally finally.
it's like san can read your mind, because he nods before tugging you back up to your feet. violet holds onto your hand as you both watch san reach into his pocket, and even though you knew it was coming, it still takes your breath away. san kneels, holding out a velvet box. he takes a deep breath and says, "y/n. my love. my best friend. you're the love of my life, and i can't imagine our story ending any other way. will you do me the honor of becoming my wife? will you marry me, finally?" he opens the box to reveal the perfect ring, and you're nodding before you can even speak.
you look at san's glistening eyes, his happy smile, and you cry out, "yes, san, oh my god, yes, i'll marry you." san pulls you down to smash his lips into yours, but you can barely keep the smile off your face long enough to actually feel his lips against yours. you end up kneeling in front of san, wrapping him in the tightest hug as you start to cry. you feel violet's tiny arms working their way around you both, so you separate and cover her in kisses to her delighted giggles. you hug them both, holding onto your family so tight it almost hurts.
"wait, wait!" san cries out. "the ring! gimme your hand!"
you present your left hand to him as he takes the ring out, and you love the way it glitters in the setting sunlight. he slides it onto your ring finger, interlocking his hand with yours. as you admire your hand in his, you hear cheers off in the distance.
you look around to find jen and wooyoung just outside the clearing. wooyoung is holding a camera, and jen is smiling like she just pulled off the heist of the century. as they get closer, violet runs over to jen and they jump and squeal, something about secrets and another bribe you'll have to learn about later.
"so everyone knew about this but me?" you ask san, and he brushes hair behind your ear as jen and wooyoung join you.
"sorry, but that's the way it had to be," san shrugs.
"you were so surprised," wooyoung says, "i can't wait to edit these pictures, i think i got a really funny one of you when he pulled the ring out."
"i'll make sure he only keeps the good ones," jen cuts in, but you shake your head.
"you send me every single picture you took," you say sternly, and wooyoung salutes you as he says, "aye aye mrs. choi!"
"oh my god," you turn to san then. "i'm gonna be your wife."
"yeah you are," he smiles proudly. "'bout time."
"oh, what time is it?" you ask. "don't we need to go to the dance?"
"baby, there is no dance," san admits. "i made that up so you wouldn't be suspicious of all the calls and errands without you."
"you sneak," you slap his arm. "and involving our daughter!"
"we got you," violet giggles, looking up at you as she wraps her hands around your legs. you pinch her nose and she squeals.
"well, what do we do now?" you ask. "i don't know what engaged people do."
"i've got an idea," wooyoung says suggestively, and jen groans.
"actually, i was going to take us to dinner," san says, reaching for you and violet. "we need to celebrate!"
"that's our cue to leave," jen says to wooyoung, but san stops them.
"nope," he shakes his head. "you helped. i owe you dinner."
"well if you insist," wooyoung smiles, wrapping his arm around jen. you all start walking back to your cars, jen and wooyoung ahead of your family. you and san are walking with violet between you, hands swinging happily.
"hey," san whispers, and you find his handsome face smiling at you. "are you happy?"
"happier than i've ever been, san."
"good," he nods. "sorry for all the secrets, though."
"whatever," you brush it off. "but, uh, i guess i have a secret of my own to share?"
san stops in his tracks, worry in his eyes. jen and wooyoung stop too, hearing the lack of footsteps behind them. everyone is watching you, and you look at each of them with a growing smile on your face. you end with san, and you blush as you say, "my love, my husband to be, i'm pregnant."

I was wondering if you can do a fic for Mike schmidt.
The reader is constantly teasing mike innocently and most often no so innocently and one day he's had enough and just f*cks the reader so hard and multiple times where the reader tries to stand up they fall and can't walk for either a few hours or days.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You loved teasing Mike. It wasn’t your fault, he just made it so fun to do, the way he reacted, the things he would do to you.
That’s why this weekend since Abby was away at her aunts you started off the morning with a nice breakfast for the two of you. Except the only thing you had on was your underwear and an apron that read ‘kiss the chef’ as you pranced around listening to your favourite songs, barely noticing when Mike halted in is steps behind you. His hands wrapped around your waist laughing into the side of your neck after you screamed in shock of his presence.
You grumbled, pushing him away after his rude interruption of your morning dance session, questioning if he wanted his eggs sunny side up or down on the floor. His laughter continued as he helped grab some plates and set the table watching you like a hawk as you placed the eggs onto them. He pulled you close as you wrapped your arms around him, “god, what’d i do to deserve you”, letting out a breathy laugh you wiggled out of his grasps prompting him to eat, which he did. uncomfortably. hunched over, unable to sit properly due to a certain issue in his pants which you chose to ignore.
After breakfast you took a shower and got ready for the day, taking advantage of the warm spring day, you opted for a nice summer dress that wrapped around you perfectly and flared out as you spun. continuing your endeavours of teasing you decided to be a little risky and not wear any panties leaving you bare apart from your dress. Heading back through the house you cleaned up the kitchen and living room as Mike was busy reading a book about dreams and their meanings on the couch.
He briefly looked up at you when you were loading the dishwasher and then once again when you were wiping the coffee table in front of him. Bending low to wipe one side giving him a more than nice view of your risks taken this morning, and then once again bending over the other side providing him a good eyeful of your breast.
It seemed he had had enough as you stood up straight again and he slammed his book shut throwing it next to him, before coming face to face with you.
“i’ve had fucking enough of your teasing this whole morning and don’t think you can just get away with it”
you squeal and attempt to run from him but before you can even make it to the bedroom door he has you in a fireman carry and slaps your bare behind, before placing you down on the bed. Your grin isn’t even hidden and you know he’s giving you hell for doing this on purpose. He’s quick to remove your dress, bending you over his lap and running his hand across your ass, feeling the smooth skin and digging his fingertips into your flesh.
your face heats up from the stark contrast of how clothed the two of you are but you only get more hot when his fingers fun across your pussy. He smack the skin in between your thighs and ass in quick successions leaving you gasping each time, “you fucking wanted this didn’t you, did that all on purpose cause you just wanna be fucked, well i’m gonna fuck you, so much you won’t even be able to walk tomorrow”
You expected to get a rise out of him but not this much.
He feels your wetness drip from your inner thighs onto his jeans, wasting no time to have you cowgirl on his lap with his cock in you. The girthy intrusion wasn’t something you were prepared for but the pain from the stretch is quickly cancelled out by the tip of his length hitting the best spot in you. Your warm wet walls are welcoming, wrapping around Mikes members and reminding him of why he fucking loves being inside of you so much.
He lifts you up off his cock while you mewl at the feeling of emptiness, bending you over the vanity dresser in your room he grabs a fistful of hair so you can watch yourself fall apart on his dick. His pants and your moans are loud and heard from everywhere in the house and the feeling of his balls slapping against your clit has you going over the edge.
You expected him to cum soon after but no he carried you back over to the bed and pushed you face down into the sheets, entering two fingers into you rubbing your wetness on you before slapping your pussy and then thrusting deep in you. The overstimulation was too good for you to say no and so you just lied there all fucked out while Mike continued plowing into you. His hands grabbed onto your breast pushing you back against his chest allowing his cock to hit a whole new different spot inside of you.
You were practically dumb on his cock and he knew it as he left kisses along the base of you neck and rubbed at your clit. Until you came on his cock once more, this time he too released inside of you, his cum practically overflowing from your pussy as you tightened around him like a vice, watching it dripping down from your pussy to the base of his cock.
Pulling out slowly he watched as more of your mixed cum pooled from your fucked out hole. You whined as his fingers collected the dripping cum pushing the white globs back into you, your hands were pushing Mikes away and you watched with hooded eyes as he cleaned his fingers with his own mouth before pulling you into a heated wet and messy kiss.
The two of you curled up, bathing in each other presence until you woke up the next morning looking over next to you to find the sheets empty. You assumed Mike must’ve either gone to the job centre or was still somewhere in the house and as you prepared to slither out from the warm covers your mind raced back to last night as your face warmed up.
Smiling to yourself you went to stand up only to fall onto the floor with an echoing thud, putting in no effort to get up. Mike quickly came jogging into the room coming to halt when he saw you. Questioning if you were alright and helping you get up, soon after absolutely folded in laughter at your explanation of why your legs have out.
Fuck, you knew his pride would never let you forget about this for the next few days.
BEING JOEL MILLER'S WIFE 🍓 - HEADCANONS
No outbreak!Joel Miller x f!reader
A/N: I wanna quit my job and be his stay home housewife so bad 😭
You didn't actually have a honeymoon because the money isn't abundant but you definitely took a weekend away to stay in a nice lake house or go to a water park in summer because why not before Joel had to go back to work
But just because you didn't have a fancy honeymoon trip it doesn't mean you didn't spend the whole day all over each other, exploring each other's bodies and barely putting any clothes, I mean, what's the point if you are gonna take them off anyway
He took his guitar and he played to you as you watched the sunset together, he played and hummed beautifully and overcame his natural shyness so he would sing some love songs to you
You wear your wedding and your engagement ring, and Joel wears his too, not only that, he wears it proudly to show he is taken
After your time off, you had to adapt to your new routine, but now Joel leaves home a little later than he usually did, because now he had a sweet wife to have breakfast with ❤️
You have morning lazy sex most mornings, you always wake up with Joel's boner poking your back and you don't resist his sleeping puppy look with the messy hair, sweet smile and strong arms that pull you closer to his warm body
Breakfast depends on who gets up first, sometimes it's Joel, sometimes it's you. He doesn't mind cooking you breakfast but he prefers when you do it because your food is way better than his
You love packing Joel his lunch, sometimes when there's leftovers you pack him a full meal in his lunch box, otherwise you make him a real good sandwich and some other treats
The guys who work for him low-key make fun of the fact the serious and kinda grumpy Joel Miller carries a lunch box made by his wife
And Joel doesn't give a shit about those fuckers because he has a loving wife who takes care of him
If you don't work or you work from home, you make sure to leave the house always tidy and organized for your man
If you work out, he makes sure to split the chores with you on the weekend, but since your shift is a lot shorter than his, you manage to do the cleaning mostly by yourself so weekends are for relaxing or going out
You also make sure to bake him several treats: cakes, pies, cupcakes, muffins, homemade bread, cookies or desserts like pudding or different recipes
Dinner every night for your husband, especially when he gets home a little earlier than usual and he decides to help you, because that leads to sweet moments and even maybe some dancing in the kitchen
Usually weekends are reserved for takeout or he actually takes you out for lunch or dinner, because he wants his wife to relax and enjoy the weekend with him
Joel's a gentleman and he doesn't want you to worry about sharing the bills at home, he sees himself as the one who needs to provide to you, so he insists you keep your money to yourself
And you do so by buying yourself things so you can be pretty for him
But you also buy him a lot of things, you like spoiling things with new shirts, new jeans, new shoes and whenever you see something you think Sarah will like, you buy it for her too
So when she comes home from her college break, there's usually a pile of presents waiting for her on her bed
Joel works really hard and when you two were dating, he often arrived really late because of work, but after you got married, he decided to reduce his working schedule a little because he wants to be there for you
But still, his work is HARD, so he often gets home exhausted and starving and you gladly serve him dinner
He often invites you to shower with him after work, which you do it eagerly. Sometimes it leads to some slow, sexy shower sex, and sometimes you just wash his hair and down his back
When he's sore from working so much, it's also common for you to massage him. You get some lotion and apply on his sore back and you enjoy his grunts and pleasure moans as you help him relief the tension and it might lead to a happy ending with a handjob or not, it depends on the mood
Or you just cuddle on the couch after dinner, Joel is a gentleman and insists on doing the dishes for you or at least help you with it
You either rest against his side or he rests his head on your lap
Run your fingers through his hair and you can swear that man purrs at the relaxation, it never fails him to sleep
When Tommy finally leaves the house for good, Joel and you start making plans on what to do with that spare room. If you're into art he is willing to turn it into an atelier for you; if you love reading, he already got the tools and the wood to build you a big shelf for your own library at home
Or one night he just suggests it would could be home office so it gets easier to remodel it once the baby comes
"What baby Joel?" You frown softly and he cleared his throat "well, you know, I thought we would… or maybe just in case…"
You hadn't discussed that before marriage and perhaps now you see maybe you should have, but you just assumed he wouldn't want more kids after he spent the last decades of his life raising his daughter by himself
And to be honest, not even Joel himself is sure if he wants kids or not, but he does love to picture you with a baby bump, carrying his baby, just as much as he loves watching you interact with little kids
You two decide to sit down and talk things through, and you come to the conclusion that if it happens, it happens, but it's not a necessity or a deal breaker in your relationship
Because you love your husband Joel, and he loves you too ❤️
ONE FOR ME !
- KAGEYAMA TOBIO STORY
best friend's brother trope !
kinktober day one!
implied praise kink, oral, small age gap, penetration, pwp
masterlist <3
sypnosis
when you're spending your weekend at your best friend miwa's house, you weren't expecting your house party to be crashed by none other than her little brother. either way, you aren't complaining.
warnings: time skip! (you are 24, tobio is 20), alcohol, mentions of smoking
word count: 3973
the kageyama house had definitely seen better days, you decided, when you walked through the door.
miwa cracked a half-smile, before grimacing when she swiped some dust off the doorframe. she turns to you as you kick off your shoes, and laughs. "it just needs a bit of fixer-upping!" she argues, which earns a small giggle out of you.
"there's no task too small for me," you retort, as she leads you to the bedroom hall.
"um, so you're going to have to stay in tobio's old room, i hope that's alright," she sighs, stopping outside the farthest door. there's a few nicks in the doorframe, probably from repeated slamming of the door. it'd been a while since you'd been in there. since your senior year of high school, which was weird considering you were now throwing your graduating party for college.
"no, it's fine," you assure her, pushing the door open. it was kept clean, clearly only used on the rare occasions he chose to come home. he had a nice bed, at least, big and comfy.
you plop your bag down on his desk chair, and sit down on the bed. miwa watches, biting her lip, still unsure if you were actually okay with it. "i mean," you drawl, "it's only for a weekend, right?"
her shoulders visibly sag with relief, and she nods with a beam. "only a weekend," she assures, then her smile turns devilish, "now, i think we have a party to plan."
two days later, you're standing in the masses of people you'd met in your years of college, and some you hadn't. there's a red beer cup in your hand, and every now and then miwa pops up to thank you ten times over for helping.
you'd managed to clean the house while she went out and bought the supplies. the party had turned out just as you'd hoped, streamers and lights hanging from the banisters. miwa had even dug out her old sound system from high school.
you prefered to stand in the back, by the kitchen island, sipping on a drink and watching the partygoers around you. it was easier that way, especially knowing miwa was going to get shit-faced and you'd have to be the one to clean up the majority of things.
miwa, ever the stylist, had dressed you up in honor of the night. she'd managed to convince you into wearing a tiny black skirt and a lacey white cami. true to her actual profession, she'd messed around with your hair a bit too.
now, you watched with delight as miwa made her way through the crowd, men hanging off her arms fighting for her attention as she tried to have a genuine conversation with everyone who'd attended. it was hilarious to watch her dodge them all, knowing she had a very loyal boyfriend just a few towns away.
miwa stumbled over to you, babbling the whole time. she leaned heavy against your side, sipping out of her own solo cup. she slurred your name, heavy breaths fanning across your cheek. you resist the urge to laugh at her. "hey, how's the party goin'?"
"it's alright, miwa, are you having fun?" you ask softly, smiling at her. she nods excitedly.
"i'm gonna order some more pizza," she says, pulling out her phone, "any requests?"
you contemplate for a moment. "pepperoni and mushrooms?" she wrinkles her nose, but types it into her phone along with a long list of other foods. "do you mind waiting outside for it?"
you shake your head, "not at all. you go have fun!"
she lets out a short huff, suddenly sober. "well, i want you to have fun too," she pouts. you brush her off with a wave of your head, pressing the order button on her phone.
"it's fine, miwa, really. i'm enjoying myself. i need a little air anyway."
"if you say so," she mumbles, before perking at the call of her name. she giggles out a goodbye before running off to the person who'd called for her. you sigh with a soft shake of your head.
outside is cool, the summer air warm and hazy, but the wind cooling down the temperature considerably. it's nice against your sweaty skin, and you tie your hair up to get it off the back of your neck as you try and take in deep breaths.
the scent of smoke and alcohol was too heavy in there, it almost made you claustrophobic. you sit down on the step of the porch, the stone slab cutting into the backs of your thighs as you try to push down your skirt as far as it could go to no avail.
your head thumps with the sounds of the party inside, and you finish off your drink before placing the empty cup beside you. your hands come to rest in your lap, fingers tapping on the backs of your hands as you wait.
it's only a few minutes before a car pulls up.
your brows furrow. it definitely should've taken way longer than that, considering how long miwa's order was and how late it was. standing up, you brush off your skirt as you make your way down the porch.
a figure slips out of the car, slamming the door behind him and walks right up to you.
tobio.
"oh!" you startle, jumping as he stands a few feet away from you, "tobio, i didn't know you'd be coming home..." you say, a bit awkward as you rub at the back of your neck.
his dark blue eyes rake up your body, flashing under the moonlight. you pretend not to notice the way they catch on the edges of your skirt and the lace of your cami. eventually, they meet your eyes.
he's grown up. a lot.
you'd seen him, in photos from miwa, but nothing compared to how he looked in person. almost like a real life adonis. you can see how chiseled he is through his compression shirt and baggy sweats. his pale skin glistens, and he smells of freshly applied cologne.
"what are you doing here?" his voice is gruff, but not unkind. he looks behind you to the party, and then to the dozens of cars parked along the sidewalk. "why's half the goddamn town here?"
his tone is a little more pressing at that second question, to which you bite your lip. miwa would've told you if she knew tobio was coming home, and on top of that she probably wouldn't have given you his room.
behind you, the sound of some bass-boosted song plays.
"miwa threw a party," you say, trying not to sound stupid or awkward, "we didn't think you'd stop by." you still remember the little boy he used to be, always angry and frustrated, tossing a volleyball around in the back yard as you and miwa giggled at him when he messed up.
he never talked to you much, other than weird gazes you'd catch whenever you were over. it was no secret little tobio had a crush on his big sister's best friend. he was too young then.
he scoffed, "i didn't even think miwa still came by here."
you watch as he shoves his hand in his pockets, for some reason unable to meet your eyes now. you shrug, tucking a fallen strand of hair behind your ear. "to be fair, you don't stop by very often either," you argue.
he rolls his eyes, but it has no bite to it. he knows you're right. you beckon him forward, and suddenly waiting for the pizza floats to the back of your mind. "want a drink?" you ask.
"sure," he laughs, a little breathless and follows you inside.
nobody notices the two of you slip back in, too busy with themselves and others to be bothered. he follows you to the kitchen, always only a step behind you as you worm through the crowd. eventually, you break through to your previous spot and show him the arrangement of drinks to pick from.
you can feel him behind you, the warmth of his body heat. he leans over you, his pec pushing into your shoulder. your face alights, and he grabs a wine bottle and pops off the cork. very sophisticated.
he takes a sip from the bottle, and you watch as a bit of red dribbles down the side of his mouth. as he places the bottle down, your hand subconsciously raises and wipes at it.
tobio raises a brow, a small chuckle falling from his lips. his eyes meet yours, and you quickly look away, wiping your thumb on your shirt.
he stands there, behind you, eyes stuck on you as you rub at the back of your neck. a group of people come bustling into the kitchen, clearly drunk and cups of beer in hand.
you shrink back instinctively, and your back comes to meet tobio's chest. the kitchen wasn't very big to begin with, but with an extra seven people there was barely enough space to extend your arms.
tobio's hand rests on your shoulder, fingers digging into your flesh in an almost protective way. you can smell his cologne, stronger this time, and your lashes flutter.
you don't even know what happens next, but later you're told someone had slipped on an empty solo cup, knocking into someone else. in the end, you ended up with one whole beer cup spilled directly on your chest, soaking you to the bone.
you shriek, the stench of beer wafting up, but your scream is hidden under the layers of party sounds. but then, your whole world twists as your whirled around and buried into tobio's chest.
your brain starts to slow for a second, enveloped in his warm embrace. there's nothing you want to do more in that moment than wrap your arms around his waist and properly hug him. but your chin lifts just in time to see him shove the guy who'd poured his cup on you.
"who the hell do you think you are?" he shouts, lip curled back in a snarl, arm wrapped protectively around you.
it was nice.
but he was also your best friend's little brother.
the guy stumbles back, raising his hands as if to say, "i'm innocent" but tobio doesn't care for that. he continues to shout, and one of the guys friends looks to you for help.
taking in a deep breath, you pull yourself back from his grip, catching his attention. you place both your hands on his chest, pushing him back slightly.
"hey, shh," you coo, "it's fine, it's just a shirt."
"no!" tobio shouts, "that guy's a douche and you deserve an apology."
you look at him weakly, unable to find the words to fight back. he breaks then, shoulders sagging upon seeing your expression. he grabs your hand, and trudges towards the bedroom hall. "c'mon," he huffs.
he stops right outside his room, and you don't even get the chance to protest because he's pulling you inside in under a second. he falls short though, upon seeing it.
in your sleep the night prior you'd managed to kick his blankets all the way to the end of the bed, his pillows displayed messily across the top. your bag was open at his desk, some of your clothes hanging on the back of his chair. you wince. "I didn't get to clean..."
his lips part, and he blinks a few times, still staring at his bed. "you stayed here?"
you sigh, "yes, and i'm so sorry. miwa said it was fine, so i assumed she texted you. again, so so sorry--"
he cuts you off, "no, it's fine. just surprised, that's all."
you purse your lips. "you sure?"
he nods, and he turns to you. you immediately notice how glued his eyes are to your breasts, your white shirt soaked through to openly show the fact you hadn't worn a bra.
your nipples peak through the shirt, and shame courses through you. you shy away, arms crossing in front of you as you look to the side. you shuffle off, overly aware of his eyes on you, as you begin to dig through your bag.
"fuck."
tobio frowns, "what's wrong?"
you run a hand through your hair, pulling out the tie. "this was my last clean shirt."
you can practically hear tobio's heart skip a beat with how startled he looks. you look at him helplessly, still attempting to cover up. you move to leave, an excuse of stealing something of miwa's when he blocks you with an arm.
"you can take something of mine," he says, biting on his lip as he stares away, "i...i don't want you going back out there looking like that."
you almost want to roll your eyes and say, "looking like what?" but you don't. you knew after years of growing up with him that he was naturally protective. he steps away once he's assured you won't make a break for the door and digs through his drawers until he comes up with a simple navy-blue t-shirt.
you don't even need to try it on to know it's going to be huge on you.
he hands it over to you, to which you thank him gratefully. he turns around, but you don't miss the way his cheeks tint pink as he stares at the wall. you peel off your beer-soaked cami and slip his on top, shuddering at the friction.
it smelled like him too.
you even dare to wiggle out of your skirt, tossing it into your bag. you clear your throat, a sign that he can turn around. he doesn't say anything, and you try not to look too awkward.
pinching the sides of the shirt and pulling out, you give a little twirl and say, "how do i look?"
it was intended as a joke, an attempt to cut the thick tension, but he takes you seriously.
he coughs, and stares at his hands, "you, uh, you look good."
complimenting was never his forte.
you can't help it, a small snicker escapes your mouth, and soon enough your full-heartedly laughing at him, trying to cover your noises with a palm to your mouth.
he huffs, but you can see the smile tugging at his lips.
you sit down on his bed, and your body feels warm. you can't tell if it's from the heat of his shirt, the bed, or even the alcohol. he comes to sit next to you, falling back into his rustled sheets with a sigh.
you settle down next to him, and count the cracks in the ceiling in order to ignore the burning in your core. you seriously needed to calm down.
"does miwa always throw these parties?"
you hum. "sometimes, though this was the first one here since high school. uh, after your grandpa passed she didn't do a lot in college for a good while. usually she hosted them on campus or something."
he nodded. the silence fell heavy again.
you turn your head, taking in a deep breath and try to give him a smile. "do you go to parties?" you inquire, "you're in college now...your first year, right?"
he clicks his tongue. "i've been to a few," he scratches behind his ear, "mostly ones i get forced into going to. i never found them very fun."
you get warmer. maybe it is the alcohol, but you scooch a little closer and rest your head on his bicep. you've never seen his eyes widen that much, but he looks at you, eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips.
"me neither," you whisper, "don't tell your sister."
you don't let tobio get the chance to understand the double meaning of that, because some surge of confidence pushes through you in that moment. all logical thinking flies out the window, becuase who cares? you're an adult, he's an adult, miwa's partying. he clearly wants you.
you kiss him, a hand placed on his chest, and your hair seperating a curtain between the two of you and the outside world. he tastes of wine, almost bitter, and you love it.
he's still for a moment, but then his lips move against yours and suddenly your flipped onto your back. his hand his on your shoulder, his other on your hip as he stares at you with husky eyes.
your shirt--or well, his shirt--has been pushed up to show your exposed abdomen but more importantly, your lack of skirt. tobio takes a particular interest in your lacey white panties, thumb rubbing over their hem.
he contemplates for a moment. "are you sure you want this?"
you don't waste a single second.
"yes," you nearly plead, and pull him down by the neck for another heated kiss. you can feel him rock up against your core, painfully hard already. you whine into the kiss, wanting to feel more of him.
his hand moves from your shoulder to push up your shirt, and your back arches upon the cold air blown across your skin. your nipples harden, and goosebumps rise on your skin.
tobio's warm hands rub up and down your sides, tracing the line of your ribs. he breaks the kiss, mouthing down your jaw onto your neck and sucking a deep red mark into the flesh of your skin.
you cry out, legs wrapping around his waist, back still trying to pathetically arch into his touch.
"tobio," you pant, "i need more."
"patience," he chastises, but you can tell he speeds up. his lips move a little faster, sucking lighter marks across your neck and collarbone. you're about to sit up to take off the shirt when he stops you.
"keep it on," he pants, "you look so pretty with it. all dressed up in my clothes."
now, that does things for your ego and for the heat growing between your legs.
his lips latch around your right nipple, and his hand comes to twist and play with your left. his tongue is so warm, lapping up at your sensitive nub.
your hands come up to tug at his hair, curling in inky black locs. his eyelashes flutter when you give it a small tug, his teeth scraping against your nipple in a way that made you hiss pleasurably.
he peppers kisses along your breasts and ribs, and you can feel the slick beginning to stain your panties.
"please," you mewl, pushing up against him. he chuckles and presses a quick kiss to your lips before ducking down between your legs. his grin is devilish, and you can't help but shiver in anticipation.
he takes your panties, and pushes them to the side, revealing your pussy. "so wet," he whispers, almost amazed. he takes one finger and runs it through your folds, collecting your slick and smearing it across your thighs.
quickly, he leaves a few love bites along the smooth expanse of your thighs, making your breath catch in your throat. everytime you think he's about to finally touch you, he goes back to your knee and works his way up again.
he admires his work, and you tighten your thighs around his head as a sort of warning to hurry up. he wraps his arms around your waist and tugs you closer to the edge of the bed. your back arches, and you try to resist the urge to buck your hips.
you aren't ready for when he finally makes one long stripe through your folds. it feels like a hundred electric shocks are coursing through your body, lighting you aflame. you let out a hitched cry of pleasure, hands curling in his hair, pushing further into his face.
tobio eats you out like you're his last meal. you don't know where he learned how, but it's genuinely shocking. the same boy who you taught how to properly serve a volleyball, was now eating you out like your life depended on it.
you couldn't help the symphony of noises that escaped you. the heat of his tongue made you clench around nothing as he sucked your clit into his mouth, moaning around your flesh. you never striked him as the kind of guy to be a service top, but you were enjoying it, nonetheless.
he sucks against your skin, trying to get every taste of you he can, openly groaning at the taste of your slick. your legs twitch and shudder, and you try your hardest not to clamp around his neck. "need to feel you, tobio," you moan, pulling his head up. he looks at you, eyes heavy-lidded, his arousal clear as day.
"i don't have a condom," he stutters, and you shake your head.
"i don't care," you whine, pulling him close, so his torso is flesh against yours, "need you now."
you sound horribly pathetic and he must find it cute or he doesn't care because he's complying to your whiney demands with no issue.
he fumbles with the string of his sweatpants, pulling them and his boxers down to his knees. you feel your mouth salivate at the sight of him. he's long, not the thickest you've ever seen, but definitely the longest. you know he's going to hit all the right spots.
you reach forward, taking him into your hand and giving him a few long pumps. his tip is a cute flushed red, veins tracking up his cock. "so pretty, tobio," you slur, to which he blushes bashfully. "this is the kind of dick girls brag about, y'know..."
he presses a kiss to your cheek. "will you?"
you giggle, "not unless you give me reason to."
that ignites a flame in him. ego was one thing tobio took very seriously.
he drags his tip through your folds, lubing himself with your slick. occasionally, his head will catch on your clit and elicit a whimper from you. he aligns himself with your hole, leaning over you, and pressing more kisses to your breasts to try and ease you and get your muscles to relax.
you breathe in and out a few times until your body properly relaxes, and you're melting wax into his hands.
you take back everything you said about him not being big. tobio fills you up like he was made for you. as if your pussy was molded to fit the shape of his cock. he curves in just the right spot, and after a few testing pushes, he manages to hit your g-spot with every thrust.
it's no surprise you're cumming only minutes after he starts.
"tobio!" you cry out, gripping onto his shoulders, "'m gonna cum!"
he huffs, burying his face in your neck, "cum for me, baby, i wanna hear you. show those assholes what they're missing out on."
sparks alight along your spine, and you're arching into him, screaming his name as you cum. it might've been the biggest climax you'd ever had.
you're shivering and whimpering, letting him pound into you until his own release. he finishes soon too, having been hard for way too long. he's trying to muffle his grunts, but you know they're clear as day to anyone who's in the kitchen. you'd be surprised if the whole house didn't hear you.
eventually, he finishes in you, pumping his seed in with a few slow thrusts. he sits there for a moment, still inside you as he takes deep breaths to recollect himself. eventually he slips out, but he plugs you up with two of his fingers to keep his cum from dripping out.
tobio lays down next to you, his head resting on your shoulder, heavy pants fanning across your breasts.
"was i good?" he asks weakly.
"you were wonderful."
the next morning, you wake up to a string of texts from miwa.
oops.
strawberry margs (pedro pascal x gn/m!reader)
a/n: same vague universe as “marked,“ per usual, yada yada.
happy belated labor day, y'all! tip your servers and thank your union reps.
(my union is on strike rn and, while it is ass, I'm very grateful for the people who are working hard to secure a better future for all of us. wga strong!)
summary: a totally normal labor day cookout with no big announcements whatsoever.
—————————————————————————
"Hey!" Pedro is slightly out of breath, flushed from the cocktail and the dry heat. Sometime in the fifteen minutes he's been gone inside the house, a tiny sombrero-on-a-headband has made its way onto his head.
He plants a kiss on your temple, slinging an arm over your shoulder; the man gets a little possessive, after a couple drinks, but not in an unpleasant way. There's a pitcher of pre-mixed margaritas on the picnic table, and only a thin finger of the same drink left in his plastic cup. You squeeze the hand that now rests on your right shoulder.
"Are you having fun?"
Truthfully, yes. Parties usually aren't your vibe, and you'd been nervous about this one, for some reason. Had expressed as much to him, beforehand.
Oscar and Elvira usually host in the summer, the little patio attached to their apartment far surpassing anyone else’s outdoor space in the city. No reason at all to be nervous— you were just here, for the 4th of July, alone, kindly invited while Pedro was still filming in Morocco. (And oh, how the summer had changed.) Had been here almost every weekend since then, while things were shut down.
But, this was the first party since… well. Since you’d put a ring on it, so-to-speak.
The social etiquette of the whole thing has you flummoxed. Are you supposed to tell people? Is that annoying? Do you just not say anything? Wait for them to notice? Take the rings off and break up so you don’t have to do this at all?
Ultimately, these are Pedro’s friends, so it’s been Pedro’s call. Not that you communicated that to him. Which might have been a mistake. Regardless, you’re deferring to him, despite the pit of stupid anxiety it left in your stomach leading up to the party.
Not that you’re not proud of the ring, either. You couldn’t be fucking happier. Social anxiety is a tricky thing, apparently. (You might have way, way overthought all of this.)
“Yeah,” you smile at Pedro, shaking cobwebs of shitty thoughts from your brain. “Yeah, this is lovely.”
Another kiss, this one soft on your lips. He tastes a little fruity, some kinda flavored syrup in the margaritas. You’d accidentally opted for an IPA that tastes like ass, so you’re just carrying around the can as a prop. His fingers are sticky from something, you discover, as he licks them clean.
The arm around your shoulder steers you towards the long picnic table, around which most of the party is gathered: the hosts, and a few extended family members you’ve definitely been introduced to, before. Sarah is here, with Holland, which is a nice surprise. The kids are deep into a game of corn hole, in the small grassy area.
You settle at the table, folding chair pulled flush against Pedro’s. A large hand palms above your knee, exposed below the inseam of your shorts. The sun is warm on your skin, fingers wet from the condensation of the can you’re pretending to nurse.
“— the AMPTP doesn’t know what they’re talking about,” Holland is saying, from where you’ve entered the conversation.
Oscar’s brother, whose name you should know by now, laughs. “Been four months now, though,” he shrugs. “You think someone would’ve budged by now, but—“
"Woah, woah." From his perch on his wife's lap, Oscar points, looking scandalized. “What the fuck is that!"
Pointing, unexpectedly, at the ring on your finger.
"Uh." Pedro's looks sheepish.
"You're joking!" A hand dramatically clutches his heart, while Oscar swoons against Elvira. "I'm wounded. Sarah, did you know about this?"
Across the table, she raises a glass, mockingly. "I picked out the ring."
"That's not true—" Pedro begins to protest.
"—Sorry, I forced him to make a fucking decision because he'd been agonizing over three options for like a month."
Pedro shrugs. "I wanted it to be perfect," he says sheepishly, "sue me!"
"No, no, backup," Oscar says. "I don't care about the rings. I can't believe you didn't tell me!"
"I can," Elvira offers, "you've got a big mouth."
He groans. "It's not like it was a secret!"
Loud interruptions from across the table. "It was absolutely a secret, that's the whole point!"
Oscar throws a hand up. "You already act like you're married, is anyone surprised about this?"
"You were surprised."
"I was surprised you didn't tell me! Wounded, frankly. Irredeemably. To the core."
"Are you done?" Sarah rolls her eyes, squeezing Pedro's shoulder affectionately. "About damn time, but we're happy for you."
She gestures at Oscar. “Yeah, yeah, we’re happy for you.”
“With feeling this time.”
“Guys,” Pedro interjects, “I wasn’t keeping anything from you. It happened two days ago!”
He launches into the tale, eggplants and double-rings and all. The hand stays planted on your knee, and you take advantage, laying yours on top to thumb over the band on his ring finger. Someone tops Pedro off, and you reach for a sip— strawberry, you determine, is the marg syrup. You’re not really listening, but you lean back, content to watch him retell the story.
The next time he kisses you, as the sun sets into the Brooklyn skyline, you taste like strawberries, too.
🦄 I literally just woke up and thought this through. So they’re staying at y/n parent’s holiday house right? Okay so I’m thinking to switch the dynamics up with this one in which Hyunjin knows he’s sick and keeps expressing this to y/n but they’re really busy with work or something on their laptop all day. So Hyunjin keeps telling y/n he doesn’t feel well but they think he’s probably just tired and shrug it off. Then afterwards he gets a really bad stomachache and y/n finally starts thinking something is actually wrong so they cuddle to make him feel better and then that’s when it happens and he just throws up all over y/n and the bed and it’s a whole disaster. Y/n feels bad now for not taking him seriously and helps them both get clean. He feels really bad and gets all emotional which only makes him feel worse. They hope that everything is fine but then things just get worse so y/n ends up having to drive them home early since they don’t haven’t any clean clothes anymore and care for him better there.
want this one to be messy in all the best waysss 🤞🏻I
hope this wasn’t too long/too much I wanted to be descriptive I hope you like my little idea :)I
I AM SO SORRY IT TOOK THIS LONG! BUT HERE IT IS!!
🦄! I hope you and everyone else enjoy it!
Warning: it's messy, I guess
AN EVENTFUL WEEKEND
To say you two liked to enjoy every single minute of your vacations was an understatement, you planned everything to make sure you'd be able to make the most out of the breaks Hyunjin had from his busy idol life.
This time around, it was summer, thankfully it wasn't as hot as it was on a previous trip with the boys, but it was still hot. You two wanted to enjoy some pool and a chill time away from everything. Your parents owned a holiday house away from the city and told you to enjoy your time there, that way you wouldn't need to spend money on a 3 days stay somewhere else.
You were both excited for this little getaway, even though you still had work due in a few days and you'd be a little busy at the beginning of your vacation.
However, things wouldn't go as smooth as you'd both like. On the night before Hyunjin went out for dinner with the boys, it was a hot night so they decided to go to the Han river and just enjoy each other's company while eating. They talked, they laughed, they cried and they ate a lot and had a lot of fun.
By the time they decided to walk back to the dorms, Hyunjin was already feeling weird. After they ate and started playing, Hyunjin felt full, not only felt, his belly was actually a little bloated. He thought that it was just gas and moving around would help ease the weird feeling. But it didn't, it kept getting worse, his stomach was still bloated and started to hurt. He tried to just shrug it off not to worry his brothers.
But the walk back home was rather long and although it was a little windy, the heat still wasn't helping. As they made their way to the dorms, Hyunjin's stomach started to feel worse, what was once a feeling of being full, had now turned into nausea. He felt something creep up his chest and immediately swallowed and tried to just shrug it off again.
But deep down he knew he was eventually gonna be sick and his stomach wasn't helping at all.
He just tapped on Chan's shoulder to get the older boy's attention.
- Hyung...
- Hm? What is it?
Chan said as he and the others stopped walking to pay attention to Hyunjin.
- I'm feeling sick...
- What's wrong?
- My stomach hurts...and I feel nauseous...
- Okay. Maybe it's because you moved too much after eating. Do you want to sit down for a bit?
- Yeah...
The boys helped Hyunjin to a bench nearby and sat for a while to see if he felt a little better before heading to the dorms.
- Do you want some water?
- Yeah...I guess...
They bought some water at a nearby vending machine and gave it to Hyunjin, who took careful small sips. Thankfully, the cold water gave him some sort of relief, it sat well with his stomach. He just sat for a while and took deep breaths as he felt the nausea begin to fade away. After a few moments he told the others he felt a little better and they could keep walking back home. He soon regretted that decision.
No lies, he took max 5 steps and his stomach jolted again. He felt something rush up his chest in a way he knew he wouldnt be able to hold.
He tugged on his hyung's shirt and barely managed to talk.
- -m gonna throw up
He said gagging and bending forward, vomit gushing out of him and hitting the ground with a sickening sound, and just barely escaping soiling his hyung's shoes.
- Hyune!
The boys said gathering around him, out of concern and also to block him from potential curious people walking around.
Chan turned him around so he was now facing the street gutter and he supported himself on his knees as he spat out thick saliva before another violent stream came out, his body barely gave him time to catch his breath when a burp brought up even more partially digested food.
- Oh my god, Hyune-ah...
His hyungs said as they rubbed his back and kept his hair from falling on his face.
- How are you feeling?
- Sick...
- Maybe it's the food. It could've been out of date. It's best if you get it all out, Hyunjin-ah.
There was no need to tell him twice, as his stomach contracted again, sending more putrid vomit up, followed by another strong wave.
- Do any of you have water?
Chan said as he rubbed Hyunjin's back, gently applying a little bit of pressure to help the boy get everything out his system.
- Here Hyung.
Han said handing him his water.
- Hyune-ah, straighten your back and take deep breaths with me okay?
Hyunjin did as he was told and took a few minutes for his stomach to give him a break.
- Here, rinse your mouth. Are you good?
- I think so...
- Can you walk back home?
- Yeah...
- I'll help you. Let's go.
The walk back to the dorms didn't have any more incidents and Hyunjin couldn't be happier to be home.
He took a shower and some stomach medication and went to sleep, hoping this was an isolated incident and he'd be good by morning for your little getaway. But boy, was he wrong.
Morning came, it was sunny but chilly at the same time, you were finishing packing your stuff and called Hyunjin.
- Good morning babe.
- Morning
He said on the other side of the phone, voice raspy from just waking up and the strain of vomiting the night before. You noticed it but didn't give it much thought, since he had just woken up.
- How are you?
- good...and you?
- I'm great. I'm finishing packing my stuff, I'll be there in 20 minutes.
- Okay.
He was lying, he felt sick. Whatever it was from the food yesterday, it was still making him sick.
But he didn't want to cancel your getaway because it was important to both you and him, getting to relax like this together.
He got up from bed and contemplated whether or no the would have breakfast. He knew that if he didn't eat anything the hunger would add to the nausea and it would make him feel even worse.
He took some Dramin before mustering the courage to have breakfast. Needless to say it was hard to chew and swallow the food but he managed to do it.
He also finished packing his bag and then got down to wait for you at the garage.
Like you said, you arrived exactly 20 minutes after you called him.
He got into the car and gave you a kiss.
- Hey babe.
- Hello honey. How are you?
- Not that good...and you?
- I'm fine. What's wrong?
- I don't know... I feel weird...
- Aren't you just tired? You went out with the boys yesterday right?
- Yeah...I don't know...
- Just don't pay much attention to it. Try to keep yourself distracted.
You said grabbing his hand and kissing it before starting the car. You put on some music and turned on the AC since it was a little hot outside. Just like you said, he tried his best to keep himself distracted, he chatted with you, and sang a little bit as well, despite feeling his stomach twist a little every now and then. Not enough for him to say he felt nauseous, but enough to annoy him.
One hour into the road trip, the medication he had taken earlier was still working, hence why he wasn't feeling that nauseous, but he felt really sleepy so he was dozing off. Which was good, that way he didn't pay attention to the weird feeling in his stomach, that was giving him clear signs that having breakfast might've not been the best idea.
Eventually, you decided it would be good to stop at a rest area to go to the bathroom and buy some snacks before heading to the house.
Hyune, wake up...
Hm? Did we arrive?
Not yet silly. It's a rest area, will go straight to the house from here. I'm gonna use the restroom real quick and eat something. And you?
I'll use the restroom as well...
Do you want something to eat?
No, I don't feel hungry...my stomach feels weird...
You might be carsick...It'll be good if you step out of the car for a bit, breathe some fresh air and stretch you legs.
Yeah...I'll do that.
You went to the bathroom first while Hyunjin mustered the courage to get out of the car he was rather comfortable there and he was afraid that moving would make his stomach flip. But he didn't even need to move for that to happen, it flipped and contracted without giving him much warning, he suppressed a gag and recolected himself before heading to the restroom.
He locked himself inside one of the stalls and just stood there, eyes closed, clenching his fists to the point his knuckles turned white, breathing deeply trying to fight the urge to throw up. He didn't want to throw the little amount he ate earlier afraid that he'd be feeling both nauseous and hungry later.
But his stomach had other plans, it was sloshing around as if he was inside a car on a bumpy road. He felt it contract making him gag into his hands and he kept gagging, trying his best to hold everything in and for a brief moment he thought he had won that battle. But then, a stronger contraction mixed with an air bubble stuck in his throat, made him burp and that time he couldn't hold it. Vomit escaped through his fingers, splashing inside the toilet water with a sickening sound.
He didn't want to kneel in front of the toilet in a public restroom so he bent over, one of his hands on his aching stomach and the other against the wall for balance. His stomach contracted, arching his back and sending another wave of pale brown liquid that hit the water with a sickening sound, unfortunately for him, loud enough for someone who entered the restroom to hear.
Dude, are you okay in there? Do you want me to call someone?
No, I'm fine...
That was his answer, but not his reality. As soon as he answered the stranger outside, his stomach contracted one more time, but now only bile came out and then another contraction forced him to gag harshly one more time bringing up just a thin stream, but enough to make him go red because of strain his body was putting him through.
Once he was left dry heaving, he stood straight, just like you always told him to do when he got sick, to try to keep his stomach from being stimulated again. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply a few times before deeming it safe to exit the stall. He rinsed his mouth and splashed some water on his face, given how he was looking after what he just went through.
You were waiting for Hyunjin outside eating your snack. The stranger who was inside the men's restroom came out and commented with his friend that someone was throwing up, you happened to overhear them talking and got a bit worried. Could it have been Hyunjin? you thought but then you remembered that it could've been just carsickness and that he would bee feeling better now. However another man left the restroom first, so you thought it might've been him and not Hyunjin who was getting sick.
Hyunjin then got out of the restroom and met with you at the table you were.
Are you okay?
Yeah. I just...I think I was feeling a little carsick...
Did you throw up?
No...
He was lying, he wanted to tell you he did throw up, but he thought you wouldn't get worried and just tell him he was tired or something, so he kept it to himself.
Let's go.
He slept through the rest of the way until you got to the summer house. It was a beautiful place, away from the city, it had a pool, which would be marvelous, if he wasn't feeling so horrible.
You two unpacked your bags and you proceeded to make lunch, Hyunjin's situation was slowly getting worse, the nausea just didn't want to fade away anymore, so he deemed it best to stay outside than risk being exposed to the smell of food.
Honey, I'll stay outside, by the pool. It's too hot...
He said, which wasn't a lie, it was too hot.
okay. I'll call you when it's ready.
He lay down on one of the sun loungers and tried to pay attention to his surroundings, in an attempt to ignore the nausea. He felt a cool breeze on his skin and listened to the sound of the water inside the pool. That was the most relaxed he felt since yesterday. But things would soon take a turn for the worse.
Lunch was ready and Hyunjin couldn't be feeling more fearful than now. The last thing he wanted was to eat, he knew that if he did so, he would eventually throw up.
Babe...I'm not hungry...
What do you mean?
My stomach doesn't feel well...
It might still be sensitive from the trip. Maybe if you eat something it will feel a little better. Feeling hungry is only gonna make it worse.
Okay...I'll eat just a little bit...
The food was delicious, like always, and he wanted to have enjoyed it, but that wasn't the case. Each mouthful was a struggle, he would chew for too long and then swallowing it would be even harder. In the end, he managed to eat a fair amount. But his stomach was complaining all the time and proceeded to do so after he finished eating.
While you did the dishes he decided to go to the bedroom to rest for a bit, hoping his stomach would feel a little better after a nap. He lay down, one hand resting on his stomach the other arm covering his eyes.
You still had some work to do, so you decided to work while you kept company to Hyunjin. You entered very quietly and sat down on your desk.
Hm? Babe....
Oh, Hyune, did I wake you up?
Not really....
You can go back to sleep, I won't make any noise.
Babe...my stomach hurts...
Maybe the food didn't sit well with you being carsick. Why don't you try to get some sleep while I get this over with?
I'll try...
You failed to notice the sad tone in his voice when he answered you, and just focused on your work for the time being. Hyunjin felt so frustrated with the fact that you weren't exactly worried about him, that he just turned to the other side.
He'd been feeling awful since last night and now, even though he hated to admit, he was stressed that you were thinking he wasn't being serious about feeling sick. He just closed his eyes and tried to focus on sleeping, but his misery just got worse and worse.
In a few minutes, he started to feel cramps on his stomach, the burning sensation grew stronger, the nausea had subsided a bit but it was still there. It was as if there was someone stabbing him from inside and starting a fire in his stomach, a feeling now unbearable.
Without knowing, he started crying, not only because of the unbearable pain he felt, but also because you weren't taking his complaints seriously. He curled up in a tiny ball covered by the sheets, even though it was hot, the pain made him break into cold sweats. You could hear some shuffling behind you, so you stopped working and turned to Hyunjin, only to find him in that state.
Hyune? Babe?
You said as you gently nudged his shoulder. Understandably, he didn't want to move, or look at you, which surprised you. And now you started to grow concerned.
Babe, please. What's wrong?
He turned to you, eyes red from crying.
I've been telling you what's wrong, since morning.
Baby, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I was too focused with the trip and the remaining work I had to do. I'm sorry I didn't hear you.
My stomach is killing me.
What exactly are you feeling?
Cramps and it burns. It's hurting too much.
Oh baby...I'm sorry. I'm here now.
You lay down next to him and cuddled him, you brushed his hair and gently massaged his tummy, in circling motion. He tried his best to focus on your touch and take deep breaths to see if he'd feel a little better now that you were with him. But it didn't take long before the disaster unfolded.
His stomach just felt worse and worse. The nausea that had been hidden while he felt pain, had now came back. He felt everything sloshing inaide, he was laying down but he felt like he was o boat on a very angry sea.
He felt it jump aggressively and send it's contents up his chest but he felt like there was a burp stuck on his throat so he carefully tried to get rid of it only to be tricked by his own body.
As soon as he did that, hot liquid rushed up his throat without much warning, filling his mouth with a foul taste. When he opened his mouth, thinking it was only a burp, vomit gushed outright onto you, soiling you, him and the bed.
- Oh my god! Hyune! Are you okay?
- S-sorry...
That's all he managed to say as he sat up and another violent stream gushed out, adding to the mess on the bed. You ran to get a towel to put on top of it and helped Hyunjin sit on the edge of the bed, with a bucket at his feet.
- Oh baby...
You said wiping his mouth and the tears that had unconsciously fallen down his cheeks.
- I'm S-sorry...I made a mess...
He said between sobs.
- I just- I was feeling sick since yesterday and it just wouldn't go away...
- Why didn't you tell me?
You said and immediately regretted saying that.
- I tried to! The whole day! From the moment you picked me up at the dorms I told you I was feeling weird. But you didn't give it much thought and just kept saying I was tired or carsick.
You had never seen Hyunjin that angry or sad before, not to the point of talking like this to you. But you couldn't blame him one bit, you knew this was 100% your fault.
- Baby, I'm so so so sorry...
He had broken into sobs after saying that, from pain and frustration, and it only made things worse. Crying made him swallow a lot of saliva and that just increased his nausea even more. In a matter of seconds he bent over as another violent stream of chunky vomit gushed out, thankfully, hitting the bucket you had previously placed by his feet.
You rushed to grab his hair and hold it while your other hand rubbed his back.
- It's okay. You're doing great. Get everything out.
A harsh gag, painfully contracted his stomach and arched his back, making he bend even further as another wave came out mixing with what was already inside the bucket.
- Oh my god, baby. I'm so sorry...
You said as you kept rubbing his back. A small coughing fit stimulated his stomach, which sent up a thin stream of saliva mixed with partially digested food.
- oh god.
You couldn't help but grimace a little, the room was starting to smell, since the bed sheets were still soiled with vomit.
He sat straight, trying to catch his breath and regain control of his body but it was pointless. His stomach still felt weird, it contracted once more and for a while Hyunjin tried to hold it in, his throat was starting to hurt. But his body had other plans, he felt a bubble of air coming up his throat and he tried to burp, but instead, vomit came out without much warning, getting on his clothes again and ok the floor.
All you could do was put another towel on top of it and keep rubbing Hyunjin's back, but now you tried to rub his stomach as well. Maybe some gentle touch would comfort him a little.
His stomach finally gave him a little break.
- Baby, straighten your back a little. Let's take a deep breath. Come on, in and out.
He followed your instructions while you still rubbed his back and squeezed his hand, reassuring him you were there.
- Baby, come here. Let's take these off.
You helped him out of his soiled clothes and guided him to sit on a chair while you removed the bed sheets.
You came back from the laundry and then guided him to the bathroom and had him sit on the bathtub.
- Baby, I'm gonna help you, okay?
- Hm...
- if you feel sick let me know, okay?
- Okay...
You helped him take a shower because he was feeling too weak, after throwing up most of what he'd eaten that day. You washed his hair since some vomit ended up getting on it.
Thankfully he didn't throw up during the bath and then you helped him get dressed in some comfy clothes.
He had thrown up on you but you were afraid of leaving him alone, so you just wiped off and then changed into some clean clothes.
- Baby...I'm tired....
- try to get some sleep baby...I'll just get some cold water for you.
He lay down and closed his eyes and tried to sleep, but it didn't matter how tired be was, his stomach felt way too bad for him to be able to relax. It kept gurgling, twisting and turning, the nausea never going away, and only getting worse.
You got back from the kitchen with some cold water for him and lay down beside him.
- Honey, come here, let's cuddle, hm?
- I want to ...but I don't feel safe...
-Why?
- I'm afraid of vomiting on you again.
- You can turn to the side, baby. I just want to embrace you.
- thank you.
You wrapped your arms gently around him, careful not to squeeze him and make him throw up again.
Just like a miracle, he managed to fall asleep, while you stayed awake, feeling both relief that he was sleeping and tension that this situation might be far from over. And boy, were you right.
About an hour into sleeping, Hyunjin woke up with his stomach revolting again. However he didn't dare move his body, he just kept his eyes closed and tried to take deep long breaths. He clenched his fists in an attempt to take back control over his body, feeling tense trying to hold everything in. Part of him wanted to call you, the other knew for sure he'd throw up if he even attempted to.
But none of his approaches to easing the nausea were working and now it was building up even more. His mouth started tasting foul and saliva was pooling inside of it, he felt something rushing up his throat so he covered his mouth and started swallowing convulsively, trying to hold it in. He took deep breaths in between and for a brief moment, it looked like that urge had gone away. But then, an air bubble came up his throat and when he opened his mouth to let it out, a thick stream of vomit spilled out soiling the bed sheets once again and the floor.
You jolted up at the sound of something splashing on the floor and immediately knew what was going on.
- Hyune! Baby!
- 'm sorry...
He said almost sobbing again for making another huge mess. You quickly grabbed another towel and threw it on the floor on top of the vomit and helped Hyunjin sit up again.
The motion made his stomach jump and he felt liquid rish up his esophagus, he covered his mouth to suppress a belch, but to no avail. Another gag followed up bringing more pale brown vomit that escapes from his mouth and slipped through his fingers soiling his shirt, shorts and the sheets. He kept his hand on his mouth, knowing that another wave was coming up.
- Shit! Here.
You ended up forgetting to get back the bucket before, so instinctively, you placed your hands under his mouth just in time to catch the remaining vomit, preventing from adding to the mess. You could feel every bit and piece of undigested food pooling in your hands, not being able to do much but breathe deeply holding back a grimace.
- You're okay. You're doing good. Don't worry about any of this. Just focus on getting everything out.
You couldn't move from your spot and your hands were far from being able to hold everything. So you thought that since the bed was already a mess, it didn't matter if the rest of it got dirty and asked Hyunjin to get the blanket and place it in his legs so you could dispose of the vomit in your hands without soiling him and his clothes even more.
- Baby, I'll just wash my hands, okay? I'll be right back.
You left to the bathroom and Hyunjin just stood there, frustrated that he lost complete control of his body. It didn't matter how much he tried to control the nausea, his stomach just wanted to get everything out. At this point he thought that he was vomiting what he had eaten the entire week.
Another jolt and a loud gurgle announced that more was coming. The same process, foul tasting saliva and hot liquid rushing up his chest and back of his throat. By now he knew it was no use trying to fight this awful feeling. The putrid tasting liquid soon filled his mouth making him gag, he he covered his mouth in an useless attempt but he knew he wouldn't be able to hold it in. In that moment another gag arched his back, he let go of his mouth and ducked his head as another bout of vomit fell on the blanket he had previously placed by his lap.
His body barely gave him time to catch his breath before another gag made him belch and cough up another stream of pale borwn liquid, this time coming out of nose as well.
You got back into the bedroom just in time to see him vomit again on the blanket that by now was completely soiled.
- Oh my god! Babe!
You ran to his side and grabbed his hair and this time decided to rub his stomach. You could feel his body shiver under your hand as another harsh gag arched his back bringing up more putrid vomit, the sound of it mixing with the big puddle on the blanket making you grimace a little.
- It's okay babe. Just keep going. Just focus on get it all out.
He grabbed your arm for dear life and squeezed it as his stomach contracted one more time, bringing only a little stream of liquid mixed with rice and saliva. You squeezed his arm back reassuring him you were there.
- Baby, I think you have food poisoning. It's not normal for you to be vomiting so much. Considering all the times this has happened before. Tell me, what did you do last night?
He breathed deeply but didn't dare open his eyes. The lights and everything were starting to make him feel overstimulated, even if he didn't have a migraine.
- I- I went to the Han river... And we até there.
- when did you start feeling like this? Be honest with me. I know I didnt pay attention to you but please tell me.
- Since yesterday night ... I got sick last night when we were going back to the dorms...
- Okay... Well go to the hospital and then we'll head back home okay? You need to be examined and get some fluids in...you threw up too much and you're proba ly dehydrated. And also, we don't have any more clean sheets or clothes.
- Okay....I'm sorry...
- don't apologize. It's not your fault. If I had payed attention, this wouldn't have happened.
You packed your stuff and put the soiled clothes and sheets on plastic bags, securely closed to wash later.
You grabbed a few plastic bags from the kitchen and gave one to Hyunjin before entering the car.
- Babe, I'll let the windows open so you can breathe some fresh air. You have the plastic bag but if the movement of the car gets too much tell me, we can park somewhere and the continue.
- Okay ...
A few minutes into the ride, his stomach gurgled loudly, and you heard it as well. You placed you hand on his shoulders thank God for automatic cars, as he brought the plastic bag close to his face and bent over throwing up bile and saliva.
You could only rub his shoulders and hope he'd be fine. He coughed a few time because something got stuck on his throat and then threw up again. He then was left dry heaving and you told him to sit back on the seat and try to take deep breaths. He did as you told him and for a while it worked.
For another hour he was "fine", his stomach kept making uncomfortable sounds but nothing more than that and Hyynjin kept shifting uncomfortably all the time. Unfortunately, the road to the hospital was in construction so the route you had to take instead was too bumpy because of debris and other stuff. You cursed under your breath because this was now explicit torture to Hyunjin.
He tried his best to not throw up and kept everything in, but the swaying was too much and that plastic bag wouldn't be of much help.
- Please...pull over-
He said gagging at the end of the sentence. Thankfully there was a shoulder near that you could stop the car. As soon as it came to a full stop, Hyunjin quickly unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the door, bending over as a thick stream of bile and saliva poured by the side of the car.
You barely had time to unbuckle your belt, getting out of the car on your side would be risky so you just moved closer to Hyunjin and started rubbing his back as he gagged productively one more time followed by a burp that brought a thin stream of bile.
- oh baby... Hold on just a bit longer. Well Be at the hospital soon.
You gave him some water to rinse his mouth and then he closed the door, sat back on the seat and exhaled tiredly.
- I feel miserable...
- I know baby...you'll fell better after the doctor prescribes you something and we're at home.
- I know...
- Are you good to go? Do you need to throw up again?
- No...not now...
- Okay, then I'll restart the car. I'll do my best but the road is not gonna be of much help ..
- I know ... It's not your fault....
You started the car and headed to the hospital, unfortunately he threw up one more time on the way there but you didn't have to stop again.
It didn't take long for him to get called. You explained to the doctors what had happened while Hyunjin just sat beside you, holding onto another plastic bag in case he felt the urge to throw up again.
- I see...so he's been feeling nauseous since yesterday. And the vomiting started yesterday as well, right?
- Yes.
- Well run some tests and we'll take a blood sample, while we do that, we'll get you some IV fluids. From what yohr s/o told me, you might be really dehydrated. I'm actually surprised you didn't faint. You can go lay down there, a nurse will go there in a minute.
The nurse installed the IV fluids and told you that it would take about 1h30 for it to be done and that he'd do an abdominal tomography to rule out anything more serious, since it could've been an appendix burst given some of his symptoms.
The IV fluids were helping, he felt a little better after 30 minutes, then they called him for the exam and when he returned he was feeling nauseous again, moving around was the last thing he wanted to do.
He just sat back on the bed and didn't want to lay down. He just kept looking down.
- I want to throw up.
He said gagging and you hurriedly placed the basin beneath his chin for him to throw up and rubbed his back.
The nurse came back and told the doctor had prescribe result of the tomography medication for his stomach ache and that the tomography didn't show anything and the blood tests confirmed your suspicion, food poisoning.
The doctor told him he'd stay at least another hour getting IV fluids and an intravenous medication to help with the continuous vomiting.
Fortunately the medication seemed to have worked and althouggh be still felt nauseous, be didn't feel like vomiting. He gave you a prescription with medications for Hyunjin and told you what you should do to nurse him back to health and that this could take a few days.
- Let's go home.
In the car Hyunjin kept dozing off on the ride home and thankfully he didn't throw up anymore.
- When we get home you'll take a nice bath and then you'll get some nice sleep and I'll be by your side all the time my love.
- Thank you...
He said smiling shyly and turning to look at you with loving eyes, almost asleep again.
Jus like you said, you helped him take a shower and then lay down with him and let him cuddle you. You kept a bucket and some spare sheets and towels ready for whatever would happen.
An dnust like the doctor warned you, it would take a few days for him to recover. You spent the next 3 or 4 days cleaning vomit here and there, doing laundry and making countless trips to the bathroom.
To say you were exhausted when he was finally better was an overstatement but then, Hyunjin did his best to compensate and take good care of you, the way you also deserved.
Top 5 worst times you got into trouble as a kid.
Ohhhh man this is gonna be a hard one to answer because undiagnosed ADHD and Autism does not mix well with authoritarian bullshit. Plus, the stuff I got away with is generally worse, a lot funnier, and more extensive. But here's 5 things I can think of off the top of my head.
I caused several thousand dollars worth of damage because 2-year-old me decided that our rented house's white carpet needed an introduction to my mom's red nail polish- color theory hospital style. Thankfully, our landlord was my mom's best friend, and after several cleaning attempts, she decided to eat the cost. I only know about this because both of them bring it up at least twice a year.
From ages 6-9, my parents forced me to do this stupid church soccer club thing because my dad was obsessed with soccer and my brother was practically a soccer prodigy. I didn't care for it one bit. We always had to rush dinner to make it to soccer practice on time, so in my head, I figured that if we couldn't eat dinner, we couldn't make it to soccer practice. We were having spaghetti that night, and you can't have spaghetti without sauce, so after a lot of unsuccessful crying, begging, and pleading, I took the whole pot of spaghetti sauce and dumped it on the floor. I avoided soccer practice, but I also got ultra-grounded for a month. All I had in my room was a mattress. Everything else was taken away. And that's when I discovered the power of dissociative daydreaming, and I can now mentally check out of any situation at, and against, my will! (My mother has since apologized, but also I am the reason I will never have biological children lmao).
Here's a funny one. On their anniversary weekend, my parents left my brother and I with my grandparents on my dad's side. This had its pros and cons. On the one hand, they had a pool, and never supervised what we watched on TV. On the other hand, that set of grandparents wouldn't let us skip church, and they went to a different church. It didn't even have a Sunday School. I was about 9 or 10, so I was deemed old enough to pack my own suitcase. I purposefully brought along my most raggedy yard clothes, thinking that would get me out of going. Come Sunday morning, I learned that unfortunately, cargo shorts and an old t-shirt did not grant me an exemption, so I had to come up with something else. After getting my brother and I fed and dressed, my grandparents went off to attend to themselves, leaving the both of us unsupervised. Their mistake. My brother and I went out into the backyard to play catch while we waited. It was then that I had an idea. My brother was about 7, still young enough that he would do just about anything I asked him, so it took him about 5 seconds to convince him that it would be both hilarious and fun if he jumped in the pool, fully dressed in his good church clothes. My grandparents were fucking piiiiissssssssed. My brother didn't have any spare clothes so my grandma had to throw everything in the dryer while I got the "wait until your parents come home" speech and a TV ban for the rest of the day. However, when my parents found out, my dad thought it was so funny that I pretty much got away with it. Oh, and we still had to go to church. We made it to the last 30 minutes of service.
My mom's contribution: I was taught about Jackon Pollock in kindergarten and inflicted my newfound splatterpaint skills upon our white cabinets, the kitchen walls, and the hallway. There's a theme with my crimes. My artistic expression could not be stopped.
I earned my first formal exorcism because I had the audacity to ask what happened to the fish during The Flood. "They didn't need to be in the boat" Well Sharon what about water salinity? How did the fish not die from the change in water chemistry? Did Noah have wooden fish tanks? Did someone have to go to every country to get the fish and a sample of their native waters? Anyways, because I was like...8, this was a sign that I had Demons, and this required them to drag me into the hallway and spend the next 30 minutes dousing me in anointing oil and demanding that Satan leave my body. Yeet!
Isle Connections Ch1 Towards The Isle Of Armor
The sixth and final Installment of the Galar Soulmate Series.
You're not sure how you stayed but you did. Never again to return home. After all the game's storyline was over. Now what? Well you were hired to play babysitter yet again so it looks like you're heading off to the famous Isle of Armor. Maybe this would be a fun time with your friends! Now only if this goofball wouldn't be such a pain.
(Ok. So like I know I said that Milo's route was going to be the last installment of this series but as A very is technically a Gym Leader at the end of the events of the Isle of Armor DLC and a lot of people voted for a route of him and I said that I would write for all of the male cast of the Sword and Shield Gym Leader cast (minus Kabu) ....Yeah. I got roped into writing for this psychic goofball but I am serious when I say this is actually the last installment of this series. I won't be writing for anyone else from Sword and Shield after Avery. I do however thank everyone for all the love that you all have shown this series and I genuinely appreciate all of the support. It means a lot! Also Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone reading this first chapter.
Also vote for what kind of Pokemon from the Isle of Armor y'all want plus names.)
This entire thing all started in March. That fateful decision that Leon made.
"Uh...What exactly is going on around here?"
It had been about a month since you arrived back in Postwick and already so many things had happened. Your Valentine's Day was great! And so was the rest of the week as the guys and Leon got to hang out with their families before he sadly had to once again take off for Wyndon again at the request of the new Chairman. Well he WAS still Champion after all. He still had a lot of responsibilities now that there was repairs going on. As for you, you got settled back into your basement room and had tried to once again (and succeeded in-) getting that job at Mr. Frederick's grocery store up the road a bit. And Mrs. L had instead started charging you a hundred dollars a month in rent instead of a hundred fifty. You suspected it was because of helping Leon but when you asked she claimed you were probably wanting to save money in order to move out once you figured out what you wanted to do again. Fair enough. If you were living in Galar now you'd need money to buy a house. The guys had been pretty chill. Usually going out to explore the fields or practice battle. Sonia had even published her book a week after you all arrived! Even making a free digital copy anyone could read on the web although you hadn't read it yet. Her publisher worked FAST! But that's not why you had woken up today. You had woken up to a whole bunch of commotion from downstairs and figured everyone was up, but when you came upstairs the strong scent of lemon and cleaning supplies hit your nose stronger than that roof piece did. And the sight of Hop wiping down one of the WALLS with a small rag certainly caught your tired brain off guard. Were you still dreaming???
"Oh uh. Good morning, Y/n!," the boy greeted your tired bed headed stare with an awkward smile. "Did I wake you up?"
"Kinda." You yawned reaching a hand up to rub your eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Oh! Spring cleaning! We do it every year once the weather's warm enough!"
"Spring cleaning?" He nodded. Oh. Makes sense. Lots of people did Spring Cleaning. You know you and your mom sure did.
"Yep! Once a year when it's Spring we clean the house literally top to bottom! But that's not the only reason why we're sprucing up the place!'' He turned back to the wall wiping it down with the biggest smile on his face. "I want everything to look it's best when Lee comes back this weekend!"
"...Say what now?"
"Lee called last night when you went to sleep! He's visiting us again this weekend and he's bringing a really special surprise for Glory! I dunno what it is yet but it's gotta be good! So today the house and then tomorrow the yard and shed! You wanna help?"
You shook your head no. "Sorry I can't. I have to work if I'm going to pay your mom that rent money for this month...But tell you what. Tell your mom to leave the basement and I'll clean that for you guys when I get back from work tonight. Ok?"
He beamed. "Yeah! That'd be a big help thanks!"
So Leon was coming that weekend huh? It'd be nice to see him again after so long. You just wondered what this 'surprise' was. Whelp you didn't have to wait long to find out that either because as he promised he showed up that weekend. The guys were pretty excited to see their big brother figure again and you'd be lying if you said you weren't excited to see him either. After all he was one of the few friends you had really. You kept your word of cleaning out the basement and downstairs bathroom for Mrs. L which she was grateful for but sadly weren't able to help much else due to your working. But it was alright. Mrs. G and the guys came over to help out and prepare things before Leon's big arrival that Saturday. And you were lucky enough to have the weekends off in order to see him. And then the day came. It was pretty early in the morning when someone bursts through the basement door startling you awake as Hop rushed down the stairs to wake you.
"Y/N!! WAKE UP WAKE UP!!"
"Huh?....What the-"
"LEON'S HERE!!", Hop excitedly called out for you from the basement stairs grinning like he had won a million dollars. "Everyone's here waiting for Mom to come back with him from the station! Come on before you miss him!"
You groaned. Oh. Right. It was THAT Saturday. "Alright. Alright. I'm up."
You groaned but did get up in order to go greet Leon. Whelp! You did want to see Leon again anyways. So you stumbled out of your sleeping back, slapped on come clothes that weren't PJs, and made yourself presentable in the bathroom before heading back up the stairs with Silver at your heels. But you were NOT prepared again for what you saw in the living room. Yes. Everyone was there. The guys, their moms, Leon's grandparents, and even Lee himself! But what you WEREN'T expecting was the extra person in the room. As soon as you had walked in someone had looked up from you at the couch and you paused seeing the much older man. And your eyes widened! NO. WAY. IT WAS KABU!! The older gym leader was sitting there in ordinary clothes right next to Leon and had looked up at you when you walked right in but paused in the doorway surprised. Kabu? Here? What in the world was one of the gym leader's doing here?
"Y/n!" You jumped when Leon smiled at you and gestured for you to come in as you stood there. "It's great to see you! Come in! You remember Kabu right?"
"Uh...Y-Yeah." You blinked before slowly walking in Silver at your heels. Still confused, you raised a hand and smiled at Kabu anyways. "Hey. Nice to see you again."
To your surprise instead of waving back the older man bowed to you. "It is an honor to meet our great champion's family and friends."
"Y-Yeah. Likewise. *ahem*....So what brings you to Postwick?"
"That's what this meeting here is all about." Leon looked back to Kabu who sat back up and looked to Gloria who you now realized was sitting across from him and Leon.
"Yes. You all must be very surprised someone like me decided to make the long journey here with Leon but rest assured that I had a purpose." His somber but calm expression met Gloria's. "You see there is a very good reason why I'm here. It is to see you." he then pointed a finger at Gloria.
Everyone looked surprised but more so Gloria who blinked and pointed at herself. "Ye came all the way from Motostoke jus' ta see ...me?" Kabu nodded but to her confusion. "But why?"
"A very good question to ask. And I have a very good answer. You see...I am in good shape for my age." ...You blinked raising a brow as he stated a ..true but very out of no where fact about him. "More than most people my age are, but as healthy as I may be it doesn't get rid of the fact that I am growing older. I have been the Fire Type Gym Leader for many years but it goes without saying I can't just keep that title forever. Like everyone there will be a time that I will decide or need to retire, but I can't as there's no one else to take over Motostoke's gym." ....He leaned forward making Gloria blink. "As with any Gym leader I study my opponents' moves, strategies, skill sets, and a slew of other variables in order to dictate their attacks. It's rare that I find a trainer who could not only beat me on her first try but in a way I wasn't expecting. Leon's judgement is something I respect highly and he wasn't wrong when he saw great potential in you Ms. Gloria."
The whole room fell silent for a moment as Gloria just..stared at him with the boys exchanging looks with each other before she spoke again. "Uh...W-Well thank ye. But what does that have ta do with anythin'?"
"It has to do with everything. Ms. Gloria if you're willing to accept my offer, and with your mother's permission of course." He nodded to Ms. G for a brief moment before turning back to her. "I would be honored to take you on and train you to become the new Fire Type Gym Leader of Motostoke."
Your. Jaw. DROPPED!! As did everyone else's besides Leon who smiled happily towards the shocked Gloria as she just sat there as kabu's words sank into everyone's heads. Kabu wanted to train HER!? As the new Fire Type Gym Leader for Motostoke!? THAT CERTAINLY WASN'T IN THE GAME!! After a moment of silence Gloria eventually sputtered out some noises that sounded like she was trying to talk gesturing her arms to him and around the room. Looking between him and Leon. Back and forth. Back and forth between the two league members before she finally let one word escape her mouth.
"WOT!?"
"Yes. Honestly with your skills and quick thinking I'm sure you'd make a great future gym leader. All you need is some guidance."
"I-I-I heard you b-b-but....WHY me!?" She gestured to herself again as if that was obvious. "I-I can't b-be a gym leader! I-I...I d-don't have the steel nerves it t-takes ta be one!"
"I thought you'd say that actually." She turned back to Leon who smiled warmly at her. "That's why I came up a plan that'd help you with your stage fright and anything else you might need improving on." With one hand Leon reached into his shirt's pocket and produced what looked like a tanish-golden colored train pass before holding it out to Gloria. "Here."
She blinked at it for a moment looking between Lee and the card before slowly taking it. "...What's this?"
"It's an exclusive Armor Pass."
"Armor Pass?," she asked him raising a brow.
He nodded with a hum. "Uh huh! With this you'll be able to directly go to the Isle of Armor station and catch one of their special taxi's to the island. That's where I trained when I first became Champion around your age. You see there's a very special dojo there with a very special teacher who specializes in training people into becoming better trainers. He's helped other people in the league before just like me. In fact he's pretty famous! You might even know about him. His name's Mustard."
You rose a brow. Mustard?? What kind of name was that?
"MUSTARD!?" You jumped hearing Hop shout eyes practically popping from his head with how wide they were in amazement. "As in like the old Champion who had the old title of Champion before he was defeated!? THAT MUSTARD!?"
Your eyes widened at Hop's words before turning to Leon who nodded. A former Champion?! No wonder Hop sounded amazed. "That's right. He's been running the dojo for years now and helps improve peoples' battling as well as themselves. I think it would be a great idea to have Gloria pay him a visit as I believe he'd be able to really help her come out of her shell. That is if she accepts Kabu's offer." He looked back to Gloria who still blinked at him. "You don't have to if you don't want to Gloria but know that you won't be in it alone."
"Yes. It's going to be hard work but that's what makes the end goal much more meaningful. But it depends on your answer."
Gloria blinked. Looked around the room at all of you. Looked at Leon. Looked at Kabu. Looked back down to the pass in her hands......Before smiling brightly like someone had just given her a brand new gym badge before looking back at Kabu! "YES!! O' course I accept ye offer! How can I not!? I just- Wow! THIS IS AMAZING!!"
A few smiles were shared even by the older man as Kabu bowed to her-
"Wait. When does she leave for the Isle of Armor?"
"Oh. Next Thursday. The train to the isle is already scheduled to arrive at noon then."
"NEXT THURSDAY!?" Everyone jumped as all of sudden Gloria shot up to her feet in panic. Hands grabbing her cheeks as a wave of fear washed over her all of a sudden. "T-THAT SOON!? I JUST- ....I NEED TA GO PACK!!" And with that she turned and fled. Silver having to literally jump out of the way as Gloria sped off out of Hop's out throwing the door open with a BANG behind her in her rush. Leaving everyone there sitting in silence...Until Mrs. G sighed.
The Isle of Armor?? Why did that sound familiar to you?...Oh well. You didn't pay it much mind but you were happy for Gloria to get such an unexpected surprise! Being trained by both a gym leader and a former champion sounds like a dream come true for someone like her. You didn't know all the details but Kabu talked for a while with Mrs. G getting Gloria's Mother's permission to train her before Leon had pulled you aside as everyone else was distracted by the sudden happy news. You were surprised when he lead you into the kitchen looking over his shoulder to make sure no one followed or was listening to him.
It made you raise a brow. "Leon, is everything ok?" You gently pulled your arm away from the Champion. "You're acting weird, Dude."
He again looked over his shoulder back into the living room to make sure no one was listening before looking back at you with an inhale. "Actually I wanted to ask something of you and I wouldn't be asking you if it wasn't for a good reason."
Your brow rose higher as Silver waddled in following you before plopping on the floor by your legs. "It depends on what you're asking of me. What ARE you asking of me exactly?"
Leon reached a hand up to rub his neck, something you learnt that both himself and Hop had a habit of doing when nervous. "Well... I-its about Glory. I figured she'd accept the offer but there's a slight problem I'm worried about." Your crossed arms invited him to go on. "Well as you and I know Hop and Glory both have a habit of sometimes maybe running ahead when they shouldn't and ...Well...H-Hoppy's gonna be trained under Sonia's eyes and Victor's not very prone to running ahead. It's not that I don't trust Mustard but I was kinda maybe hoping that perhaps you'd agree to going along with her and making sure she was settling in ok there?"
You stared. "So...You want me to keep an eye on her and keep her out of trouble like I've been doing this entire time?"
"I-Ill make sure you're fully compensated for everything!," Leon assured you, "I-I would just feel better knowing that she was with someone in case she needed help. W-What do you say?"
You hummed furrowing a brow. You didn't feel like traveling again so soon after just settling down two months after an almost region ending event. You were honestly still surprised that you didn't teleport back home to your horrible mother. Then again...there really wasn't anything else you were doing right now. You were still figuring out what you wanted to do with your new life. Maybe a trip to this Isle would help. Plus spending time with Gloria sounded like fun.
You shrugged before nodding. "Sure. Why not? It might be fun."
The purple haired champion lit up before sighing in relief. "Thank you. I mean it. Thank you! I'll make it up to you I promise! I'm just happy to know that Glory is in good hands."
Quickly Mrs. L and everyone else was made aware that you'd also be able to go with Glory and Gloria seemed excited to know that you'd also be going with her. Leon making sure to also gift you the same pass as Gloria before he had to leave with Kabu. Whelp. Guess you were traveling again somewhere. But why did this Isle of Armor sound familiar to you? Oh well. You just packed up and prepared to to go traveling again. Soon Thursday rolled around and You, Hop, Victor, and Mrs. G all traveled with to the station. Gloria both giddy and nervous with a big old stuffed pack on her back. Mrs. G asking over and over again if Gloria remembered to pack everything she needed. First aid kit. Food. Clothes. A coat. Her sleeping bag. Etc. When you got to the train station Practically no one was there except for one or two other people and the station master behind the counter as usual. You did pause to look at the other two people who were dressed somewhat strangely and very colorfully waiting for the train as well. One had really BRIGHT pink hair and the other guy wore this gigantic top hat with pokeballs floating around it like some psychic pokemon. Wha- How was he doing that? Your attention was brought back to the present as the distant sounds of the evening train approaching caught everyone's attention.
"There's the train!," Mrs. G commented before grabbing Gloria by the shoulders with a look. "Are you sure you packed everything you needed?"
"Yes, Mum! For the millionth time I double checked this mornin'. I'll be fine travelin' there. Lee said he was gonna meet me at the taxi station anyways."
Mrs. G still didn't look so sure but Victor assured her. "Don't worry none, Mum. Glory's gonna be fine on her trip there. 'Sides Y/n is gonna be with 'er."
Eventually she did sigh and remove her hands from Gloria. "You're right. I just can't help but be worried about her traveling by herself. You all are growing up too fast for my liking."
"She'll be fine!," Hop said smiling widely before looking to Gloria, "You're gonna do great Glory! I know you will! You're my rival after all so you have to do your best or else I'll become a better trainer than you."
Gloria smiled back at him. "Ha! We'll see 'bout that. OH! I almost forgot! I got something for ye!" She reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a pokeball, holding it up to the purple haired boy. "'Ere! I had a couple a few extra o' these wee ones lying about an' I know they mean a lot ta people in a special way so I got ye one."
Hop slowly took the pokeball from her. "A pokemon? For me?"
She nodded. "It's a rare find I had been gifted by Sonia back at Wyndon but I have no use for it. But don't see what it is til ye get home. Ok?"
Hop again blinked but smiled widely. "Wow! This is amazing Glory! Thank you." he excited turned to Victor holding up the brand new pokeball. "Hey, Vick! Look what Glory gave me!"
"You gave Hop a pokemon?"
Gloria turned to you and nodded. "I gave all me rivals an extra pokemon I got from the rotomi boxes ta show there's nay hard feelings. After all you said I shouldn't cause any bad blood between me rivals."
You smiled. "Oh ..Wow, Gloria. That was really nice of you! What did you give them if you don't mind me asking?"
"Oh nothin' special really. I gave Marnie a wee purloin I found and I sent Bede a lovedisc before we went ta see you at the hospital."
You froze. .....And blinked. "Wait, wait, wait. You gave BEDE a what?!"
"This cute water pokemon I found called a lovedisc," she gushed obvliviously. "It was jus' the cutest wee thing shaped like a sweet lil heart! I figured since Bede's always wearin' pink and he has works with cute fairy type pokemon it'd be perfect! An' I gave Hop one of the extra pokeballs I had forgotten in me bag." She paused with a hum rubbing her chin. "I can't remember what pokemon it was but I'm sure Hop will love it all the same!"
You wanted to facepalm right then and there. Because as soon as the words 'I gave Bede a lovedisc' slipped out of her mouth so obliviously you knew she had once again blundered. And you had a good reason why. There was ONE specific pokemon Dex entry you specifically remembered about luvdisc-
"Its heart-shaped body makes it popular. In some places, you would give a Luvdisc to someone you love."
AND she gave one to Bede who she already flustered with accidentally making him think she was trying to gift him an applin. Great. You sighed but figured maybe Bede wouldn't know or he wouldn't think much of it since she also gifted Marnie a purrloin and Hop a....mystery pokemon you have yet to figure out. Here's hoping. The sounds of the train came further and further until with a high pitched screech it stopped right in front of you all and the station master announced it.
"The train to the Isle of Armor has arrived! Those with an Armor Pass please board the train! The train will departing in fifthteen minutes!"
"That's our cue!" Gloria said as the other two weirdly dressed people walked up to the station master. She turned back to all of you with a smile. "I guess this is good bye for now."
"Don't worry about us," you assured her smiling. "You're going to do great out there! And I'm still coming with you."
"Yeah! Glory, you'll do great!" "It's gonna be great to have a Champion brother and Gym Leader Rival!" "I'll miss you, Sweetie."
Hugs were had all around and good bye's were exchanged before Gloria a little tearfully joined the other two weirdly dressed folks in line for the train with you behind her as the station master checked their passes.
"Do you have an Armor Pass?"
"Naturally. I have made all the proper preparations which you can observe with unclouded eyes."
"Hee hee! Of course! I totally have one!"
"Then please allow me to check your passes."
You all watched as the weirdly dressed people handed their passes to the station master who proceeded to look over both behind the booth. Huh...Why did those two look familiar? Deja vu again. But you shrugged it off. Lots of different people in the pokemon world. They probably just reminded you of some you've seen before. After a moment the station master handed the two back their passes and they stepped out of the way for Gloria and yourself to walk up and also hand him your pass Leon gave you both. It was also at that moment the doors to the train opened and something came walking out of it. You turned ..and blinked as a SLOWPOKE slowly crawled it's way out of the train's doorway and into the station. It's dopey grinning face smiling at nothing as it randomly crawled into the station. Wha- What was a slowpoke doing here? Silver noticed too and chirped at it curiously gaining it's attention...or more so the food Silver held that he had been snacking on. the slowpoke peeked it's interest at that and came towards Silver making him chirp in warning backing up behind your legs holding his precious food from it's reach.
"Aw. Hey little guy." You slowly kneeled down to the pokemon who tilted it's head curiously but otherwise none threateningly at you as you kneeled down catching everyone's attention. "Where did you come from?" Of course it didn't answer you but made a happy noise when you reached out to pet it's head. CUTE!
"Oh a slowpoke!" "Hmph. To meet a slowpoke. Such a thing is simply elegant."
You paid no mind to the other two adults but the station master peeked out of his booth to see the thing before giving a groan. "Uh oh. Looks like another one's gotten on the train and ridden over from the Isle of Armor. Hey you're all pokemon trainers right?" He asked you all. "If Slowpoke blocks the ticket gate, it'll cause trouble for other customers. Slowpoke are actually really heavy. So do you think you can catch it for me?"
"I think it's just hungry," you answered back noticing the way it kept staring at Silver's food as your brave guard dog cowered away from the dopey looking teddy bear thing.
"If that case I can lead it out of the station with this." You turned to Victor who reached inside of his pocket and pulled out what looked like those granola breakfast bars that no one really liked besides him. Carefully peeling off the wrapper he exposed the granola berry mix thing and went over to the slowpoke. It was pretty easy to catch his attention as it almost immediately turned it's head to him. "C'mon boy! Ye want it? Come get it." And like magic the pokemon turned and slowly began following Victor as he made his way to back out of the station. The slowpoke slowly but surely following behind.
The station master sighed. "Thanks much! Slowpoke can be a big trouble to move sometimes." And he went back to finish giving Gloria and you your passes as Victor continued to lead the pokemon out of the station.
"Hmmm? How interesting. I must say your catching style is quite simply elegant." "Whoa amazing! The way you're catching that slowpoke is the absolute coolest!"
Victor chuckled nervously as he continued leaving. "Are you guys getting on the train too?"
They both turned to Gloria and the pink haired lady nodded. "I'm heading to a place called the Isle of Armor! I'm gonna catch some rare pokemon and do some training!"
The blonde haired man nodded. Again HOW were those pokeballs floating around his hat?? "I've heard it's a place where one can catch rare pokemon and do lots of training."
Before Gloria could say anything else the station master turned back to the three of them. "We apologize for the wait. We have checked your Armor pass. All aboard the the train to the Isle of Armor! Mind your step when boarding. Please be aware there will also be a connection along the way."
"Okaaay!" "Understood."
The pink haired lady turned back to Gloria. "Let's hang if we meet up again, 'K? Bye bye then! See ya!"
The taller blonde man reached up to tip his hat slightly to Gloria. "Yes. Perhaps we shall meet again sometime. Well then please excuse me."
And both turned to board the train. You all watched them go before Hop hummed. "I could be wrong..But that lady looked familiar."
"You too huh?" Hop nodded and you hummed. Ok. That was strange. Hop seemed to kinda recognize them too so it's more than a deja vu affect. ...Well considering those two were in Wedgeherst Station that means they must've been from Postwick too right? You must've seen them around before and not paid them much attention beforehand. Yeah. That must've been it.
The station master ended up giving Gloria her pass and she quickly boarded the train with you and Silver behind her but she paused and looked behind her at them all....Smiling sadly and waved. You waved too as they all waved back smiling and in Mrs. G's case crying lightly until the doors closed and the train moved. You both stood there for a long moment before you felt a jolt of the train move and you nudged her shoulder gently saying that you both should probably take your seats. She agreed so you both walked further into the train to take your seats. Huh. You didn't see the guy with the top hat or the girl with really bright pink hair anywhere. Guess they were in a different part of the train. It took a good few days and nights of traveling by train and following the instructions Leon gave Gloria on her rotomi phone before stopping by and getting off at a station over looking an ocean. We're you supposed to travel the rest of the way by boat?
"Misses Gloria and Y/n?," a male voice called making you both look left and saw the familiar sight of a flying taxi. "You are them right?"
"Yeah!," Gloria happily answered with a smile, "Why?"
"I was assigned by the Champion to take you both to the Isle of Armor." He made a come on motion. "Climb aboard."
"Oh this is great!" Gloria beamed grabbing your arm. "We'll be there in no time!"
You groaned as she dragged you by the arm towards the taxi with Silver at your heels. Flying. WHY WAS IT ALWAYS FLYING!?
Isle Connections Ch1 Towards The Isle Of Armor
The sixth and final Installment of the Galar Soulmate Series.
You're not sure how you stayed but you did. Never again to return home. After all the game's storyline was over. Now what? Well you were hired to play babysitter yet again so it looks like you're heading off to the famous Isle of Armor. Maybe this would be a fun time with your friends! Now only if this goofball wouldn't be such a pain.
(Ok. So like I know I said that Milo's route was going to be the last installment of this series but as A very is technically a Gym Leader at the end of the events of the Isle of Armor DLC and a lot of people voted for a route of him and I said that I would write for all of the male cast of the Sword and Shield Gym Leader cast (minus Kabu) ....Yeah. I got roped into writing for this psychic goofball but I am serious when I say this is actually the last installment of this series. I won't be writing for anyone else from Sword and Shield after Avery. I do however thank everyone for all the love that you all have shown this series and I genuinely appreciate all of the support. It means a lot! Also Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone reading this first chapter.
Also vote for what kind of Pokemon from the Isle of Armor y'all want plus names.)
This entire thing all started in March. That fateful decision that Leon made.
"Uh...What exactly is going on around here?"
It had been about a month since you arrived back in Postwick and already so many things had happened. Your Valentine's Day was great! And so was the rest of the week as the guys and Leon got to hang out with their families before he sadly had to once again take off for Wyndon again at the request of the new Chairman. Well he WAS still Champion after all. He still had a lot of responsibilities now that there was repairs going on. As for you, you got settled back into your basement room and had tried to once again (and succeeded in-) getting that job at Mr. Frederick's grocery store up the road a bit. And Mrs. L had instead started charging you a hundred dollars a month in rent instead of a hundred fifty. You suspected it was because of helping Leon but when you asked she claimed you were probably wanting to save money in order to move out once you figured out what you wanted to do again. Fair enough. If you were living in Galar now you'd need money to buy a house. The guys had been pretty chill. Usually going out to explore the fields or practice battle. Sonia had even published her book a week after you all arrived! Even making a free digital copy anyone could read on the web although you hadn't read it yet. Her publisher worked FAST! But that's not why you had woken up today. You had woken up to a whole bunch of commotion from downstairs and figured everyone was up, but when you came upstairs the strong scent of lemon and cleaning supplies hit your nose stronger than that roof piece did. And the sight of Hop wiping down one of the WALLS with a small rag certainly caught your tired brain off guard. Were you still dreaming???
"Oh uh. Good morning, Y/n!," the boy greeted your tired bed headed stare with an awkward smile. "Did I wake you up?"
"Kinda." You yawned reaching a hand up to rub your eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Oh! Spring cleaning! We do it every year once the weather's warm enough!"
"Spring cleaning?" He nodded. Oh. Makes sense. Lots of people did Spring Cleaning. You know you and your mom sure did.
"Yep! Once a year when it's Spring we clean the house literally top to bottom! But that's not the only reason why we're sprucing up the place!'' He turned back to the wall wiping it down with the biggest smile on his face. "I want everything to look it's best when Lee comes back this weekend!"
"...Say what now?"
"Lee called last night when you went to sleep! He's visiting us again this weekend and he's bringing a really special surprise for Glory! I dunno what it is yet but it's gotta be good! So today the house and then tomorrow the yard and shed! You wanna help?"
You shook your head no. "Sorry I can't. I have to work if I'm going to pay your mom that rent money for this month...But tell you what. Tell your mom to leave the basement and I'll clean that for you guys when I get back from work tonight. Ok?"
He beamed. "Yeah! That'd be a big help thanks!"
So Leon was coming that weekend huh? It'd be nice to see him again after so long. You just wondered what this 'surprise' was. Whelp you didn't have to wait long to find out that either because as he promised he showed up that weekend. The guys were pretty excited to see their big brother figure again and you'd be lying if you said you weren't excited to see him either. After all he was one of the few friends you had really. You kept your word of cleaning out the basement and downstairs bathroom for Mrs. L which she was grateful for but sadly weren't able to help much else due to your working. But it was alright. Mrs. G and the guys came over to help out and prepare things before Leon's big arrival that Saturday. And you were lucky enough to have the weekends off in order to see him. And then the day came. It was pretty early in the morning when someone bursts through the basement door startling you awake as Hop rushed down the stairs to wake you.
"Y/N!! WAKE UP WAKE UP!!"
"Huh?....What the-"
"LEON'S HERE!!", Hop excitedly called out for you from the basement stairs grinning like he had won a million dollars. "Everyone's here waiting for Mom to come back with him from the station! Come on before you miss him!"
You groaned. Oh. Right. It was THAT Saturday. "Alright. Alright. I'm up."
You groaned but did get up in order to go greet Leon. Whelp! You did want to see Leon again anyways. So you stumbled out of your sleeping back, slapped on come clothes that weren't PJs, and made yourself presentable in the bathroom before heading back up the stairs with Silver at your heels. But you were NOT prepared again for what you saw in the living room. Yes. Everyone was there. The guys, their moms, Leon's grandparents, and even Lee himself! But what you WEREN'T expecting was the extra person in the room. As soon as you had walked in someone had looked up from you at the couch and you paused seeing the much older man. And your eyes widened! NO. WAY. IT WAS KABU!! The older gym leader was sitting there in ordinary clothes right next to Leon and had looked up at you when you walked right in but paused in the doorway surprised. Kabu? Here? What in the world was one of the gym leader's doing here?
"Y/n!" You jumped when Leon smiled at you and gestured for you to come in as you stood there. "It's great to see you! Come in! You remember Kabu right?"
"Uh...Y-Yeah." You blinked before slowly walking in Silver at your heels. Still confused, you raised a hand and smiled at Kabu anyways. "Hey. Nice to see you again."
To your surprise instead of waving back the older man bowed to you. "It is an honor to meet our great champion's family and friends."
"Y-Yeah. Likewise. *ahem*....So what brings you to Postwick?"
"That's what this meeting here is all about." Leon looked back to Kabu who sat back up and looked to Gloria who you now realized was sitting across from him and Leon.
"Yes. You all must be very surprised someone like me decided to make the long journey here with Leon but rest assured that I had a purpose." His somber but calm expression met Gloria's. "You see there is a very good reason why I'm here. It is to see you." he then pointed a finger at Gloria.
Everyone looked surprised but more so Gloria who blinked and pointed at herself. "Ye came all the way from Motostoke jus' ta see ...me?" Kabu nodded but to her confusion. "But why?"
"A very good question to ask. And I have a very good answer. You see...I am in good shape for my age." ...You blinked raising a brow as he stated a ..true but very out of no where fact about him. "More than most people my age are, but as healthy as I may be it doesn't get rid of the fact that I am growing older. I have been the Fire Type Gym Leader for many years but it goes without saying I can't just keep that title forever. Like everyone there will be a time that I will decide or need to retire, but I can't as there's no one else to take over Motostoke's gym." ....He leaned forward making Gloria blink. "As with any Gym leader I study my opponents' moves, strategies, skill sets, and a slew of other variables in order to dictate their attacks. It's rare that I find a trainer who could not only beat me on her first try but in a way I wasn't expecting. Leon's judgement is something I respect highly and he wasn't wrong when he saw great potential in you Ms. Gloria."
The whole room fell silent for a moment as Gloria just..stared at him with the boys exchanging looks with each other before she spoke again. "Uh...W-Well thank ye. But what does that have ta do with anythin'?"
"It has to do with everything. Ms. Gloria if you're willing to accept my offer, and with your mother's permission of course." He nodded to Ms. G for a brief moment before turning back to her. "I would be honored to take you on and train you to become the new Fire Type Gym Leader of Motostoke."
Your. Jaw. DROPPED!! As did everyone else's besides Leon who smiled happily towards the shocked Gloria as she just sat there as kabu's words sank into everyone's heads. Kabu wanted to train HER!? As the new Fire Type Gym Leader for Motostoke!? THAT CERTAINLY WASN'T IN THE GAME!! After a moment of silence Gloria eventually sputtered out some noises that sounded like she was trying to talk gesturing her arms to him and around the room. Looking between him and Leon. Back and forth. Back and forth between the two league members before she finally let one word escape her mouth.
"WOT!?"
"Yes. Honestly with your skills and quick thinking I'm sure you'd make a great future gym leader. All you need is some guidance."
"I-I-I heard you b-b-but....WHY me!?" She gestured to herself again as if that was obvious. "I-I can't b-be a gym leader! I-I...I d-don't have the steel nerves it t-takes ta be one!"
"I thought you'd say that actually." She turned back to Leon who smiled warmly at her. "That's why I came up a plan that'd help you with your stage fright and anything else you might need improving on." With one hand Leon reached into his shirt's pocket and produced what looked like a tanish-golden colored train pass before holding it out to Gloria. "Here."
She blinked at it for a moment looking between Lee and the card before slowly taking it. "...What's this?"
"It's an exclusive Armor Pass."
"Armor Pass?," she asked him raising a brow.
He nodded with a hum. "Uh huh! With this you'll be able to directly go to the Isle of Armor station and catch one of their special taxi's to the island. That's where I trained when I first became Champion around your age. You see there's a very special dojo there with a very special teacher who specializes in training people into becoming better trainers. He's helped other people in the league before just like me. In fact he's pretty famous! You might even know about him. His name's Mustard."
You rose a brow. Mustard?? What kind of name was that?
"MUSTARD!?" You jumped hearing Hop shout eyes practically popping from his head with how wide they were in amazement. "As in like the old Champion who had the old title of Champion before he was defeated!? THAT MUSTARD!?"
Your eyes widened at Hop's words before turning to Leon who nodded. A former Champion?! No wonder Hop sounded amazed. "That's right. He's been running the dojo for years now and helps improve peoples' battling as well as themselves. I think it would be a great idea to have Gloria pay him a visit as I believe he'd be able to really help her come out of her shell. That is if she accepts Kabu's offer." He looked back to Gloria who still blinked at him. "You don't have to if you don't want to Gloria but know that you won't be in it alone."
"Yes. It's going to be hard work but that's what makes the end goal much more meaningful. But it depends on your answer."
Gloria blinked. Looked around the room at all of you. Looked at Leon. Looked at Kabu. Looked back down to the pass in her hands......Before smiling brightly like someone had just given her a brand new gym badge before looking back at Kabu! "YES!! O' course I accept ye offer! How can I not!? I just- Wow! THIS IS AMAZING!!"
A few smiles were shared even by the older man as Kabu bowed to her-
"Wait. When does she leave for the Isle of Armor?"
"Oh. Next Thursday. The train to the isle is already scheduled to arrive at noon then."
"NEXT THURSDAY!?" Everyone jumped as all of sudden Gloria shot up to her feet in panic. Hands grabbing her cheeks as a wave of fear washed over her all of a sudden. "T-THAT SOON!? I JUST- ....I NEED TA GO PACK!!" And with that she turned and fled. Silver having to literally jump out of the way as Gloria sped off out of Hop's out throwing the door open with a BANG behind her in her rush. Leaving everyone there sitting in silence...Until Mrs. G sighed.
The Isle of Armor?? Why did that sound familiar to you?...Oh well. You didn't pay it much mind but you were happy for Gloria to get such an unexpected surprise! Being trained by both a gym leader and a former champion sounds like a dream come true for someone like her. You didn't know all the details but Kabu talked for a while with Mrs. G getting Gloria's Mother's permission to train her before Leon had pulled you aside as everyone else was distracted by the sudden happy news. You were surprised when he lead you into the kitchen looking over his shoulder to make sure no one followed or was listening to him.
It made you raise a brow. "Leon, is everything ok?" You gently pulled your arm away from the Champion. "You're acting weird, Dude."
He again looked over his shoulder back into the living room to make sure no one was listening before looking back at you with an inhale. "Actually I wanted to ask something of you and I wouldn't be asking you if it wasn't for a good reason."
Your brow rose higher as Silver waddled in following you before plopping on the floor by your legs. "It depends on what you're asking of me. What ARE you asking of me exactly?"
Leon reached a hand up to rub his neck, something you learnt that both himself and Hop had a habit of doing when nervous. "Well... I-its about Glory. I figured she'd accept the offer but there's a slight problem I'm worried about." Your crossed arms invited him to go on. "Well as you and I know Hop and Glory both have a habit of sometimes maybe running ahead when they shouldn't and ...Well...H-Hoppy's gonna be trained under Sonia's eyes and Victor's not very prone to running ahead. It's not that I don't trust Mustard but I was kinda maybe hoping that perhaps you'd agree to going along with her and making sure she was settling in ok there?"
You stared. "So...You want me to keep an eye on her and keep her out of trouble like I've been doing this entire time?"
"I-Ill make sure you're fully compensated for everything!," Leon assured you, "I-I would just feel better knowing that she was with someone in case she needed help. W-What do you say?"
You hummed furrowing a brow. You didn't feel like traveling again so soon after just settling down two months after an almost region ending event. You were honestly still surprised that you didn't teleport back home to your horrible mother. Then again...there really wasn't anything else you were doing right now. You were still figuring out what you wanted to do with your new life. Maybe a trip to this Isle would help. Plus spending time with Gloria sounded like fun.
You shrugged before nodding. "Sure. Why not? It might be fun."
The purple haired champion lit up before sighing in relief. "Thank you. I mean it. Thank you! I'll make it up to you I promise! I'm just happy to know that Glory is in good hands."
Quickly Mrs. L and everyone else was made aware that you'd also be able to go with Glory and Gloria seemed excited to know that you'd also be going with her. Leon making sure to also gift you the same pass as Gloria before he had to leave with Kabu. Whelp. Guess you were traveling again somewhere. But why did this Isle of Armor sound familiar to you? Oh well. You just packed up and prepared to to go traveling again. Soon Thursday rolled around and You, Hop, Victor, and Mrs. G all traveled with to the station. Gloria both giddy and nervous with a big old stuffed pack on her back. Mrs. G asking over and over again if Gloria remembered to pack everything she needed. First aid kit. Food. Clothes. A coat. Her sleeping bag. Etc. When you got to the train station Practically no one was there except for one or two other people and the station master behind the counter as usual. You did pause to look at the other two people who were dressed somewhat strangely and very colorfully waiting for the train as well. One had really BRIGHT pink hair and the other guy wore this gigantic top hat with pokeballs floating around it like some psychic pokemon. Wha- How was he doing that? Your attention was brought back to the present as the distant sounds of the evening train approaching caught everyone's attention.
"There's the train!," Mrs. G commented before grabbing Gloria by the shoulders with a look. "Are you sure you packed everything you needed?"
"Yes, Mum! For the millionth time I double checked this mornin'. I'll be fine travelin' there. Lee said he was gonna meet me at the taxi station anyways."
Mrs. G still didn't look so sure but Victor assured her. "Don't worry none, Mum. Glory's gonna be fine on her trip there. 'Sides Y/n is gonna be with 'er."
Eventually she did sigh and remove her hands from Gloria. "You're right. I just can't help but be worried about her traveling by herself. You all are growing up too fast for my liking."
"She'll be fine!," Hop said smiling widely before looking to Gloria, "You're gonna do great Glory! I know you will! You're my rival after all so you have to do your best or else I'll become a better trainer than you."
Gloria smiled back at him. "Ha! We'll see 'bout that. OH! I almost forgot! I got something for ye!" She reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a pokeball, holding it up to the purple haired boy. "'Ere! I had a couple a few extra o' these wee ones lying about an' I know they mean a lot ta people in a special way so I got ye one."
Hop slowly took the pokeball from her. "A pokemon? For me?"
She nodded. "It's a rare find I had been gifted by Sonia back at Wyndon but I have no use for it. But don't see what it is til ye get home. Ok?"
Hop again blinked but smiled widely. "Wow! This is amazing Glory! Thank you." he excited turned to Victor holding up the brand new pokeball. "Hey, Vick! Look what Glory gave me!"
"You gave Hop a pokemon?"
Gloria turned to you and nodded. "I gave all me rivals an extra pokemon I got from the rotomi boxes ta show there's nay hard feelings. After all you said I shouldn't cause any bad blood between me rivals."
You smiled. "Oh ..Wow, Gloria. That was really nice of you! What did you give them if you don't mind me asking?"
"Oh nothin' special really. I gave Marnie a wee purloin I found and I sent Bede a lovedisc before we went ta see you at the hospital."
You froze. .....And blinked. "Wait, wait, wait. You gave BEDE a what?!"
"This cute water pokemon I found called a lovedisc," she gushed obvliviously. "It was jus' the cutest wee thing shaped like a sweet lil heart! I figured since Bede's always wearin' pink and he has works with cute fairy type pokemon it'd be perfect! An' I gave Hop one of the extra pokeballs I had forgotten in me bag." She paused with a hum rubbing her chin. "I can't remember what pokemon it was but I'm sure Hop will love it all the same!"
You wanted to facepalm right then and there. Because as soon as the words 'I gave Bede a lovedisc' slipped out of her mouth so obliviously you knew she had once again blundered. And you had a good reason why. There was ONE specific pokemon Dex entry you specifically remembered about luvdisc-
"Its heart-shaped body makes it popular. In some places, you would give a Luvdisc to someone you love."
AND she gave one to Bede who she already flustered with accidentally making him think she was trying to gift him an applin. Great. You sighed but figured maybe Bede wouldn't know or he wouldn't think much of it since she also gifted Marnie a purrloin and Hop a....mystery pokemon you have yet to figure out. Here's hoping. The sounds of the train came further and further until with a high pitched screech it stopped right in front of you all and the station master announced it.
"The train to the Isle of Armor has arrived! Those with an Armor Pass please board the train! The train will departing in fifthteen minutes!"
"That's our cue!" Gloria said as the other two weirdly dressed people walked up to the station master. She turned back to all of you with a smile. "I guess this is good bye for now."
"Don't worry about us," you assured her smiling. "You're going to do great out there! And I'm still coming with you."
"Yeah! Glory, you'll do great!" "It's gonna be great to have a Champion brother and Gym Leader Rival!" "I'll miss you, Sweetie."
Hugs were had all around and good bye's were exchanged before Gloria a little tearfully joined the other two weirdly dressed folks in line for the train with you behind her as the station master checked their passes.
"Do you have an Armor Pass?"
"Naturally. I have made all the proper preparations which you can observe with unclouded eyes."
"Hee hee! Of course! I totally have one!"
"Then please allow me to check your passes."
You all watched as the weirdly dressed people handed their passes to the station master who proceeded to look over both behind the booth. Huh...Why did those two look familiar? Deja vu again. But you shrugged it off. Lots of different people in the pokemon world. They probably just reminded you of some you've seen before. After a moment the station master handed the two back their passes and they stepped out of the way for Gloria and yourself to walk up and also hand him your pass Leon gave you both. It was also at that moment the doors to the train opened and something came walking out of it. You turned ..and blinked as a SLOWPOKE slowly crawled it's way out of the train's doorway and into the station. It's dopey grinning face smiling at nothing as it randomly crawled into the station. Wha- What was a slowpoke doing here? Silver noticed too and chirped at it curiously gaining it's attention...or more so the food Silver held that he had been snacking on. the slowpoke peeked it's interest at that and came towards Silver making him chirp in warning backing up behind your legs holding his precious food from it's reach.
"Aw. Hey little guy." You slowly kneeled down to the pokemon who tilted it's head curiously but otherwise none threateningly at you as you kneeled down catching everyone's attention. "Where did you come from?" Of course it didn't answer you but made a happy noise when you reached out to pet it's head. CUTE!
"Oh a slowpoke!" "Hmph. To meet a slowpoke. Such a thing is simply elegant."
You paid no mind to the other two adults but the station master peeked out of his booth to see the thing before giving a groan. "Uh oh. Looks like another one's gotten on the train and ridden over from the Isle of Armor. Hey you're all pokemon trainers right?" He asked you all. "If Slowpoke blocks the ticket gate, it'll cause trouble for other customers. Slowpoke are actually really heavy. So do you think you can catch it for me?"
"I think it's just hungry," you answered back noticing the way it kept staring at Silver's food as your brave guard dog cowered away from the dopey looking teddy bear thing.
"If that case I can lead it out of the station with this." You turned to Victor who reached inside of his pocket and pulled out what looked like those granola breakfast bars that no one really liked besides him. Carefully peeling off the wrapper he exposed the granola berry mix thing and went over to the slowpoke. It was pretty easy to catch his attention as it almost immediately turned it's head to him. "C'mon boy! Ye want it? Come get it." And like magic the pokemon turned and slowly began following Victor as he made his way to back out of the station. The slowpoke slowly but surely following behind.
The station master sighed. "Thanks much! Slowpoke can be a big trouble to move sometimes." And he went back to finish giving Gloria and you your passes as Victor continued to lead the pokemon out of the station.
"Hmmm? How interesting. I must say your catching style is quite simply elegant." "Whoa amazing! The way you're catching that slowpoke is the absolute coolest!"
Victor chuckled nervously as he continued leaving. "Are you guys getting on the train too?"
They both turned to Gloria and the pink haired lady nodded. "I'm heading to a place called the Isle of Armor! I'm gonna catch some rare pokemon and do some training!"
The blonde haired man nodded. Again HOW were those pokeballs floating around his hat?? "I've heard it's a place where one can catch rare pokemon and do lots of training."
Before Gloria could say anything else the station master turned back to the three of them. "We apologize for the wait. We have checked your Armor pass. All aboard the the train to the Isle of Armor! Mind your step when boarding. Please be aware there will also be a connection along the way."
"Okaaay!" "Understood."
The pink haired lady turned back to Gloria. "Let's hang if we meet up again, 'K? Bye bye then! See ya!"
The taller blonde man reached up to tip his hat slightly to Gloria. "Yes. Perhaps we shall meet again sometime. Well then please excuse me."
And both turned to board the train. You all watched them go before Hop hummed. "I could be wrong..But that lady looked familiar."
"You too huh?" Hop nodded and you hummed. Ok. That was strange. Hop seemed to kinda recognize them too so it's more than a deja vu affect. ...Well considering those two were in Wedgeherst Station that means they must've been from Postwick too right? You must've seen them around before and not paid them much attention beforehand. Yeah. That must've been it.
The station master ended up giving Gloria her pass and she quickly boarded the train with you and Silver behind her but she paused and looked behind her at them all....Smiling sadly and waved. You waved too as they all waved back smiling and in Mrs. G's case crying lightly until the doors closed and the train moved. You both stood there for a long moment before you felt a jolt of the train move and you nudged her shoulder gently saying that you both should probably take your seats. She agreed so you both walked further into the train to take your seats. Huh. You didn't see the guy with the top hat or the girl with really bright pink hair anywhere. Guess they were in a different part of the train. It took a good few days and nights of traveling by train and following the instructions Leon gave Gloria on her rotomi phone before stopping by and getting off at a station over looking an ocean. We're you supposed to travel the rest of the way by boat?
"Misses Gloria and Y/n?," a male voice called making you both look left and saw the familiar sight of a flying taxi. "You are them right?"
"Yeah!," Gloria happily answered with a smile, "Why?"
"I was assigned by the Champion to take you both to the Isle of Armor." He made a come on motion. "Climb aboard."
"Oh this is great!" Gloria beamed grabbing your arm. "We'll be there in no time!"
You groaned as she dragged you by the arm towards the taxi with Silver at your heels. Flying. WHY WAS IT ALWAYS FLYING!?
Very personal response, as someone who was right in that middle grey area of Millennial and Gen Z, I can attest to the loss of rewatch value for movies, and even shows and games, as a consequence of streaming services. I'm old enough to remember growing up with landline phones and VHS tapes and DVDs and home videos, but also young enough that I was still in middle school when the iPhone first released. I distinctly remember my big brother buying me a copy of The Wind Waker on Gamecube when I was like 7 years old (still one of my favorite memories, love you big bro) but also remember being 13-14 and getting the pants scared off me watching the first few episodes of Marble Hornets at my best friend's house on a much smaller version of Youtube, before the days of content creators, social media influencers, and Raid: Shadow Legends sponsorships. I remember learning how to draw from books like How to Draw Pokemon and How to Draw Disney Princesses that I got at school book fairs and book orders, but also from anime bases and tutorials on DeviantArt and RateMyDrawings.
And I can confidently say that the replay value of films and movies and games and entertainment media in general is one of the biggest things we've lost in the advent of streaming services. When I was a kid in a low income household that liked to play video games, I only had the games that I owned, meaning I'd often be replaying games from my limited collection that slowly built up over the course of many birthdays and Christmas seasons. If there was a game I really wanted to play but couldn't wait until Christmas or my birthday to get - or maybe it was on a console I didn't own - I'd have to rely on whoever I was friends with at school to either play it with them at their house, or trade one of my own games with theirs (this is actually how I wound up owning my Gamecube copy of Tales of Symphonia, which I loved so much that I kept borrowing it from my friend at school, until he finally just let me keep it years later as a gift because he wasn't interested in beating it and knew I'd get more fun out of it, thanks Edmund LOL). And when that all failed? Welp, guess it's time to crack open the bag of games that I have and see what I'm willing to replay. Half the time I wouldn't even actually progress the game, I'd just fuck around in the overworld making my own stories. Many hours I've spent riding around Hyrule Field on Epona and visiting towns to talk to the NPC's in Sylvarant.
And hoo boy, did this make the experience of buying new games a whole ass event. If you were lucky, you'd get a new game on Christmas or your birthday, in which case the worst of your waiting would be getting through the festivities until everyone left so you could hole yourself up in your room with your new copy of Pokemon Colosseum. If you were unlucky, you would get the chance to buy a game from the actual game store an hour away in the city, but then you'd have to be stuck in the car and god knows where else your parents dragged you while re-reading the instruction manual for Kingdom Hearts 2 cover-to-cover and begging them to just take you home already, what the hell do you mean we're staying for the weekend at dad's friend's place-
And yeah, this was often the case with movies too, we only had the movies we owned, oftentimes on VHS tapes in a box in the basement that we would dig through when the DVD's we owned weren't cutting it. There are movies that I'm still sick of despite my fond memories of them because we'd watch them back to back just to make the time pass, especially during summer vacation when school was out and there was nothing to fill the day with besides whatever entertainment we could make for ourselves. We had a couple family friends who knew their way around a computer and were able to pirate and burn DVD's for us, but that always came with video quality that would jump from high to low, and hilarious audio glitches that almost trained us to expect them in clean versions of the film when rewatching it years later, just for us to go "oh yeah, that was a bootleg copy of Hancock, the music isn't supposed to suddenly blip out and then blip back in during the credits". Other than that, there were rental spaces, but growing up in the sticks meant the selection of rental films was limited to whatever was available at the nearby family-run gas station and the library.
If any of this resonates with you, and you now find yourself in the position I do where you're more than willing to rewatch the same movies and shows you watched as a kid but find yourself completely uninterested and almost disconnected from the sensationalized artificial hype created by studios and streaming services like Marvel and Disney and Amazon, well let me assure you, you're not alone, it's not just you. Yes, we are getting old. Yes, we are experiencing much of the same disillusionment that our parents did and their parents did that comes from simply growing older. This is unavoidable.
But it's absolutely also still worth discussing the consequences of these changes, because as it stands right now, much of that disillusionment is being sped up by the effects of the exponential technological growth and oversaturation of media around us. I'm sure this could very well be a flawed comparison, but it makes me think of the things that have managed to survive even to this day compared to the things that came around in the height of the technological boom of the mid-2000's - newspapers were around for centuries and still managed to survive the rise of radio and television until the advent of the Internet as a popular method of consumption around the mid-2000's which is when they were truly threatened to become obsolete... meanwhile streaming services as we know them today have been around for barely two decades and they're already failing, and that's nothing compared to the tech bros who are constantly coming up with new gimmicks and "miracle technology" like NFT's and AI which are often clung to immediately by corporations purely on the basis of hype and inflated promises, just to become financial black holes within a year that they then have to find sneaky ways to profit off of until something else comes along to fill their void for something "new and innovative".
Case in point, I'm not even thirty yet, I shouldn't already feel like I'm falling behind the way my parents did when they were in their 40's. That whole feeling of life being "over" at 25 isn't just psychological, it's being actively enabled by the titans of capitalism shifting the goalposts of how we interact with the world faster than ever before. I can absolutely still quote the entire script of Shrek as it's happening onscreen, but I can't for the life of me remember a single video I watched while doomscrolling in bed last night.
And this HAS had its effects on art and media, because now movies and shows are simply hype-events that people consume and never touch again, never re-analyze, never rewatch with updated perspectives. You'd be shocked how many times I've rewatched old Spongebob episodes like Squid on Strike and Selling Out just to realize that Hillenburg himself knew what was up and was both empathizing and warning the adults of that time period what was happening in the creative industry - and now those episodes are still timeless and relatable even more than they were back then because we're now living in the exact reality that such episodes were trying to warn us about. Don't even get me started on films like Idiocracy which may as well now be a prophecy uttered by ancient gods that we should have probably paid more attention to.
This effect of turning art and media into mindless "content" is even bleeding into the smaller industries as well. Within my own special interest and experience, webcomics, a virtually endless library of indie media to enjoy that isn't gatekept by industry control, is now becoming controlled by corporate platforms which pump out cheap media that's trained people to value quantity over quality, oftentimes resulting in fanbases who barely even read what they're swiping through and will deadass forget the name and plot of the comic weeks after they've stopped seeing it in their reading lists. Many of those same readers will immediately get nervous as soon as anyone even mildly criticizes or questions the content that's being consumed, often jumping on the defensive with arguments like "you need to turn your brain off if you want to enjoy the story" and "stop thinking about it so hard" and "just let people enjoy things".
I don't know about you, but as a seasoned webcomic artist myself who loves engaging with discussion and discourse surrounding their favorite pieces of media, I'd be livid if I found out my readers were saying that shit about my own work. I want you to think about it. I want my work to get your brain moving. I want you to come up with your theories even if they're wrong. I want you to re-read and change your opinions and re-think your perspectives as you re-engage with the text with a new lens that changes both over time and over the course of reading the work in full. I want you to be capable of engaging in nuanced critical discussion and thought without it automatically becoming a polarizing battle between "fan and hater". I suppose I was born just a little too late to exist in the time period that allowed projects like my own weird convoluted "work for the lore" meta-commentary shit to exist without needing to maintain a company's bottom line. Instead, I was born just in time to exist in the world that's solely serving the "turn your brain off" population of consumers who don't even realize how much their senses and thought processes have been numbed by the effects of late-stage capitalism, with only the hope that maybe there will be a renaissance within my lifetime.
The disillusionment we feel from "what the kids are watching today" isn't just a symptom of getting older. It's a symptom of all of us - as a collective society, across all the generations - getting fucked by corporations bombarding our senses for profit.
Matt Damon explains why they don’t make movies like they used to. Pls watch.
at the same time i'm nostalgic for the past emo bands, im also keenly aware of how much i hated being a teenager. it was awkward and angry and depressing and confusing and it felt so cloudy and awful and fast but too slow at the same time. while i can appreciate the way those bands and music and my ipod saved my life due to distraction, I would never wish that on anyone.
it's interesting how I've come full circle in music taste. I loved mcr in 2008, and then I was getting a little tired of waiting for the next album. I saw Gerard Tweet about how he likes Jrock and suggested some Japanese Rock like Kyosuke Himura... so I got into L'Arc en Ciel, Dir en Grey, X Japan, and the like. It changed my life and I loved it.
I joined JpopAsia (website, is it still around?) and played those social tag games like "last song you listened to is the soundtrack to a movie about your life" or "last letter song game" etc... and had fun there. The fans there I made friends with suggested I listen to kpop so I shifted around 2010 to Kpop and by then I wasn't keeping up with MCR at all. I was in high school. I was influenced by fashion and culture to go gay and tell my school i was genderfluid. I shaved my head and stretched my earlobes. I wanted to be unlike anyone else. I wanted to be counter-culture and non-conformist. I wanted to be stinky and friendless so no one could steal my homework or trick me...
In 2014, a close friend did get the best of me. I always felt like I was so gullible, I could never see it coming. It made me feel like a joke, like a clown. But I was raped. I spent 2 years struggling with my identity and working after high school. I saw an old lady start at my workplace and she complained everyday that it hurt her back. I decided I better chase some dreams or I'll be stuck in an entry-level job until I'm 60 and my back hurts.
I went to college for 2 years and got my associates. I made friends and lost them. I tried different hair colors. I tried different clothes. I dressed like a hoe. I went to parties. I started drinking every weekend. I wanted attention. I wanted people to listen to me. I just wanted to be heard and seen. I was so tired of feeling ignored. I was so tired of feeling like even my closest family members don't hear me or understand me. Too busy with work. Too busy being older and more adult than me. And I felt like, since my virginity was already taken, that my relationship with God had been broken and now it didn't matter how much I did it. I was already dirty and I could never be made clean. 2022, I finally escaped a roller coaster ride of meeting up and falling out with my rapist from high school. I said I really wanted to change my life. I wanted to run far far away and never come back. I wanted to get away from alcohol and sex and expectations. I ran back to God and I wanted to make amends. I wanted His protection for my life to be safe again. I wanted to be free from the chains of drugs and pretending to be happy with my rapist. I only thought I had to end up marrying him so I could say I lost my virginity to the one I married. But he didn't want to commit. I should have known. I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I got married to a boy who was a member all his life. I had a baby. I started a family. We have a house and a car. We created security for ourselves and our family. I finally felt like I could breathe. Like I wasn't running from danger. Like I was finally okay. Like I could finally break down and process all those horrible things that happened to me throughout childhood. And as the hubbub of celebrity fashion and kpop became less and less appealing, I turned again to rock music. I found out that all the while I had been running, finding my own place in this world, discovering my hobbies and interests for myself instead of having them shoved on me, the emo bands I used to love... were right there the whole time.
they were preparing albums. writing music. pondering a come back. and out of the woodwork, they are back. they've come back to save my mortal life for the second time. MCR is back. Pierce the Veil is back. All the groups I've looked up so far are still active and making some kind of comeback. My daughter is dancing and listening to the music with me. My marriage is flourishing because I'm excited and happy about the news. This is so so awesome. I want to bring out my black clothes and tripp pants and express myself through makeup again. I want to go goth and feel the way my heart used to pound when I was young and awkward and I loved skateboarding to school. Only now I'm smarter and safer.
the looming drop-off of graduation is behind me. I'm certain of the future now, and I'm able to celebrate and enjoy it. I never want to let go of emo music. <3 forever an emo kid xXXxxXXx
RMIT Design Management Sem 1 - 2024
Team 9 - IRD VN Brief 2 & 3
Week 7: Filming
What's been going on in week 7?
Team's organization chart: Tam - main idea guy & director and video editor; Thao - communicator, storyboard and vid editor; Ngan - storyboard and editor; Khanh - stickers and presentation slides. Other than that all participate in pitching ideas for videos and making the video. Timeline: Now we're in the middle of shooting videos Individual contribution: the only individual stuff I did was the stickers but because I drew fast so it wasn't feel like a task at all. More like an excuse for me to draw. Other than that our team do everything together.
Peer review: I love my team lol, they're great.
For this week, we're shooting the videos. We did have many cafe meetings and all in order to figure out what will be in the videos but during the shooting days, we ended up changing a lot of stuff regarding camera angles, script and even the mood the whole video. Most of them were approved by all of us but the one suggesting them was Tam - our "director" guy. In my opinion, Tam is prossibly the closest to the definition of a "designer". What I mean by that is that he is always willing to change the entire thing if a new and better idea comes to mind while doing it, He's never stuck to the same idea that was agreed on from the beginning. That may sounds irresponsible but to me, that's what a designer supposed to do. He spends a lot of time to "figure" out what to do and then even change the script while shooting the videos - the script that he spent so much time to think about already. Tam isn't grounded to only a few ideas, but he is prone to come up with new ones and execute them on the spot. That's why his previous works are so deep and fun in terms of "design" rather than spending time on making his works look good. He's the kind of designer that focus on the meaning of his design more. As someone who is the direct opposite of Tam, I find it super interesting to be working under his "direction" this course. If i was the director, I would be fixated on the first script I made and spend the last 4 weeks of it trying to get that vision that I had and try to make it as visually appealing as possible. Working with him and my team has been helpful in terms of relearning how to "design" as well as "working" in general. In previous weekly reflection, I stated some concerns about worrying what to work on next for fear that I would run out of time waiting to confirm the script because we had been waiting for it for so long. In contrast, me before this course would confirm the plot right on the spot and start working myself to exhaustion to 4AM everyday. But this course, for the first time in 2 years of studying in RMIT, I feel healthy in a way I guess? The physical workload is tolerable, the thinking phase is comfortably long so I don't exhaust myself thinking about what to do; I even had time to buy groceries and cook myself 2 meals a day everyday and a thorough cleaning for my house every weekend - something I could only dream for the past 2 years since time for me was a luxury. Most of the little freetime I get was used to sleep so that my brain wouldn't get a stroke after staying awake looking at my laptop screen for 24-36 hours straight. Therefore, I'm serious when I say I don't mind whatever grade I get for this course as long as I pass, because what I get for this course is something I don't think I can't get anywhere else - a taste of a healthy lifestyle. This is what I truly want to aim for now, not DI or HD. I'm incredibly glad to be studying this course with this specific client and teammates.
Other than that I also started preparing the slides for the presentation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How might I use the Quality, Time & Risk Management techniques I learned about in class to improve my life? - Solve the issue and get help if necessary. Always plan with your team before going for the conclusion.
What do I want to do when I graduate? - I'm not sure either, I enjoy drawing and somewhat animating so I'm looking forward to doing those stuff later on I guess.
What existing risks are preventing me from succeeding in my plans? - The only risk I have right now is that I feel like I don't "love" the stuff that I'm doing right now like everyone else. Yes, I do like drawing and I'm not that bad at it, but I don't draw every single day and use every minute I'm free to draw. I would rather use my freetime to spend with my family or stuff that benefits my mental health like cooking. The reason for that is probably after spending 2 years drawing for assignments, my love for drawing has transformed into a skill I use only for work and probably for future income. I still enjoy it, but not as much as doing it every second.
How do I mitigate those risks? - I don't really know either. The only goal for me right now is to just finish RMIT and see how things turn out. To be honest, I find peace in knowing and confirming to myself that I see illustration as a job to me rather than a dream like before. That means that I don't and won't hate that I will be doing in the future while also being able to have other hobbies outside of work as well.
Granny got you this fabric copy of The night before Christmas at a craft show and this was your first time reading it. You LOVE to read lately. And by that I mean you love to be read to, but this is how it starts. We started this challenge at the library to read 1,000 books before kindergarten on November 6, (today is 11/20) and in 14 days we have already read 66 books. Some are duplicates but I rarely initiate reading, Unless its the pre-sleep time routine. You love to read during dinner, and once we read one book you keep getting more and more books. You the the If you give series right now (mouse a muffin, pig a party, mouse a cookie, etc) and also Biscuit and Friends. Plus Llama llama. We have 22 books checked out right now and that’s only because you chose to renew the books we got the previous library visit and we only returned the two that had people waiting in line. I will never so no to reading you a book and will never complain about reading the same book twice or 10 times. I might offer an alternate idea, but if you say no, we will read if you give a mouse a brownie for the 11th time.
Lately you are also a fantastic helper around the house, sincerely. You might unroll almost the whole entire toilet paper roll, but you work really hard to roll it back up for me. Most of the time you do this unasked, but the unrolling and re-rolling, but its like you cannot resist unrolling it, and then realize that’s not right so you fix it pretty much right away. you also are helpful when it comes to sweeping things up, putting your toys away (sometimes, but you are only 2.5), feeding the dogs, putting dishes in the sink, throwing trash away, retrieving various objects when the location is specified (shoes, my water bottle, a book, etc.), and watering plants. You will also sometimes clean up spills or messes by yourself, but if you don’t, you at least tell me when there is a spill or mess so that I can clean it up before it sits too long or gets bigger, which i do really appreciate. Oh, and you put dirty clothes in the laundry room. Sometimes you put them in the washer, sometimes in the dryer, and sometimes just on the floor, but I will never complain about how you try to help. Any help is appreciated!
Our family photo shoot last weekend. I’m sad that the photos you took with dada you were both being blinded by the sun and so squinty, but here’s a cute one of you two sharing ice cream afterward. This was at Chatham manor, and you loved this tree tunnel. I definitely want to take you back, but especially in the spring when the flowers are blooming. I think you will really love it, especially because there is like a labyrinth of flower beds and high hedges and its just right up your alley.
This is you being a walrus at your willow tree. Not that any explanation is needed. With your chocolate milk. Up until November 11, it was a BATTLE to get you into a shirt with sleeves or a jacket. You would cry and fight and pull at the sleeves and tell me to take it off. I calmly explained that it is too cold and that you have to wear sleeves to keep your body safe. You cried and fussed for like 10 minutes, and then we went outside and played. Ever since, you have not minded putting them on at all, which is a major relief. But, upon re-entering the house, you immediately want to take your sleeves off. It seems that the contrast of the cold outside with the warm inside is too much and you get too hot. But as long as you wear appropriate layers outside, you can strip as soon as you come back inside, no problem!
November 20, 2023
Declan, you are just the coolest and most fun kid ever. I *might* be a little biased, but I really enjoy spending my days with you. You are so funny and see the world in such a unique way. I can see the little gears turning in your head as you figure out the world around you, and it is such a joy to bear witness to. You seem to enjoy sleeping a little more these days which seems like a silly thing to note, but even if you protest initially, you’re eventually giving off like “oh, darn” vibes. Like oh, darn I guess it’s time to go to sleep even though I’m not tired *yawn.* Like you’re maybe seeing the link between naps and bedtime and how they seem to occur when you are feeling tired and that you might actually need to rest your body. You say you don’t want to, but you actually do and find comfort in the routine and consistency. My sweet boy, it only took us 2.5 years to reach this point <3
Anyway, we got a pretty fish for the fish tank. He is a tangerine koi beta and is beautiful. You named him Daring Danny X because that’s your favorite paw patrol character, obviously.
Which reminds me of another thing I wanted to share with you. You have started to show like an awareness of what we already have and that we do not always need things at the store. Example, at target today, the woman offered you stickers and you said “no, i already have stickers at home.” And you kind of shrugged your shoulders and lifted your palms up because that’s something you do now too. You are ver emphatic and use hand gestures when you are sure of something. And sometimes when you aren’t. But anyway, last night before bedtime, I asked you if you hoped Santa would bring you a bike for Christmas. You said No. When pressed, you said something like:
I have a little bike and a big bike. I don’t need a bike, I already have two bikes.
So i said, well what if Santa brought you a tricycle, like the bike you rode with dada at that little park one time, and you were very sure that you do not want a bike because you already have 2. Never mind that the little one is now too little, and the “big” one is a strider bike that is legit too big for you even at the lowest setting. And you also really haven’t expressed an interest in the strider bike so far / haven’t figured out how it works. So yes, you have two bikes, but they are different kinds of bikes. So we will see if Santa gets the memo at such late notice. And maybe I will remind you that Daring Danny X has a tricycle to jump off his ramps over the canyon.
<3
You may also be mid-separation anxiety revival, which is really poor timing considering I have my Portland trip coming up in just a few days, but you have been attached to me like a barnacle overnight lately. It’s very disruptive to my sleep, but it also hurts my neck. It’s very comfy and cozy and I love that you find so much comfort and safety in my arms, but just after 1-2 hours you usually stir and wake me up and/or you squeeze me tight to you again which also wakes me up. This is why I’ve started drinking Alani Energy drinks and getting monthly massages. You will not have to sleep alone until you are ready, because I’m honestly not ready for you to sleep alone yet anyway.
This morning when we woke up, I said “Declan, last night it was like i was a big magnet and you were a little magnet. Whenever I moved, you followed me!” And you said “I am??” And then you touched my nose and said “I’m stuck to you, mama magnet.”
I call you my little sugar plum, lightning bug, cutie pie, pumpkin head, etc. You call me Mama monkey or mama mouse or whatever other animals we are pretending that day. It’s so funny that you can toggle between little terms of endearment. But sometimes when I say “goodnight my little lightning bug,” you’ll say “I’m not a lightning bug, I’m Declan!” So there’s definitely a time and place for this little nicknames and sometimes you want to be called Declan.
Another sleep time related thing is singing songs. I’m amazed by how many songs and tunes you remember all on your own, and just how hungry you are to learn more songs. Your brain is a sponge absorbing all these nursery tunes, but you can also identify them when I hum them and sometimes if I try to sing with you, you hold up a hand to let me know that it is your turn to solo a song. So now before bedtime we take turns. Before your nap just now, you sang ABCs pretty much 100% correctly, Twinkle Twinkle, and Baa Baa Black Sheep. Last week we went to circle story time at the library and the group sang I’m a little teapot and head, shoulders, knees, and toes and you seemed intrigued by the group singing with the movements too, so I sang those today. I repeated the eyes and ears and mouth and nose part a few times because you were trying to sing it on your own for the first time and I don’t think you could remember all the words just yet. I’m sure you will spontaneously burst into song later and have them mostly right once your brain processes them during this nap. You just pick things up so quickly and I’m trying to keep up to expose you to things that will build on what you already know and are interested in, its like the funnest quest to embark upon with another person.
Tumblr is not the most user friendly but at this point I am committed. Okay, your nap has now run over by 16 minutes, so no time to edit!
