read part 2 here
"No, don't even worry about it girl, you beat me fair and square," Tashi Duncan said to you, tight lipped smile. You had recently qualified for the finals of the your schools tennis tournament. You remember how the ball managed to skim her racquet making you the winner. You knew she was happy for you but you also knew how important tennis is to her.
"I know how much this meant to you though," You sigh. The two of you were currently in her dorm room, sitting crossed legged and facing each other.
Tashi let out a soft exhale before meeting your gaze, the pain evident across her face. She pushed a smile onto her features, "Yeah... It did," she began, her words slow as if choosing each one with care. "But hey," Tashi reached out, gently grabbing your hand. "I'm happy you won," she said genuinely.
"Thank you, Tash," You grab her slender hand ad give it a gentle squeeze before letting it fall back to its place.
"I mean it," she said, her words soft as she gave your hand a gentle squeeze. The two of you had spent countless hours practicing together, supporting each other through both wins and losses.
"Yeah, welp I better go and get rest. Game is tomorrow," You pat your lap, swinging your legs to your side to stand up from her bed.
Tashi watched as you got up from the bed, her eyes studying you closely. There was a hint of disappointment in her expression, but it vanished quickly as she smiled. "Alright, sleep tight," she said, her voice neutral.
"You too, and also, you're coming to watch, right?"
Tashi chuckled, her expression lightening, "Of course I am, wouldn't miss it for the world," she assured you, a smile forming on her face. "You better bring your A game," she teased, a small smirk on her face. Her words were light, but you could tell there was still a hint of upset lingering in her eyes.
"You got it boss," You look at her once more before leaving her dorm. You gently shut the door behind you before walking down the passage to your room.
You opened the door, immediately going to your bed and flopping on it. You didn't bother changing from your hoodie and cotton shorts before drifting to sleep.
The sun intruded your curtains before anything else did. You stirred from your sleep before hazily getting up. You brushed your teeth and hair, got dressed in your tennis uniform, grabbed everything you needed before making your way down to the tennis court.
No matter how well you did, you always got nervous. Tashi made sure to tell you that every time you played a match. You loved the girl but sometimes all she did was point out flaws that perhaps were not of your interest.
The hairband in your hair suddenly felt too tight, and your shoelaces were tied too tightly, the racquet in its sling felt too heavy on your arm and your palms too sweaty.
It wasn't like this was your first time ever playing, yet it felt like it was. You didn't know what you were more scared of. Losing and not qualifying for the cup, or disappointing Tashi.
Tashi arrived early, of course she did, finding a good seat to watch the match from.
The grandstands filled with people, Tashi could feel her heart beating faster, her fingers tapping anxiously against her thigh. She had already gone over every possible outcome in her head; you break a bone or twist an ankle; you miss one too many balls; or worse.
"I cannot believe it, dude. I mean, I for sure thought it would be Tashi Duncan playing, but not her!" Tashi overhears some loud voice mention her and your names, she has the urge to turn to look but ignores it. "She's in another league, she's beautiful!"
"And now entering the court, the girls singles world number 1 and winner of the Junior French Open..." The commentator says your name and majority of the crowd blister in cheers.
Tashi sees the way you smile too big to hide your nerves as you step onto the court, waving at the crowd, eyes immediately looking for her. When you do make eye contact, she sees your shoulders relax a little.
Art has heard Patrick pine and want Tashi, but he's heard him rant and rave about you, last night he would not shut up about how you beat Tashi by the skin of your teeth.
You took a sip from your bottle as you set it down on the floor next to the chair, slinging your racquet off and unzipping it.
You stuck out a leg and did last minute stretching, allowing for your muscles to ease and thankfully, your nerves dissipating.
Then the match began and you were all over the court. Your shots were precise, your movement nimble, and your concentration unwavering. Your Russian opponent, Irina Petrovska , couldn't quite keep up, struggling to return each of your powerful serves and shots.
Shared grunts emitted from the both of you, your shoes squeezing against the tar. Sweat dribbling down your temples.
Art and Patrick sat watching, their jaws practically on the floor. The ease in which you were demolishing Petrovska was incredible. They tried to come up with words to describe your performance but found themselves at a loss.
One second you were in the farthest corner on the baseline and the next, soaring through the air as the ball slammed from your racquet, you positioned a meter above the service line.
Tashi sat there, watching every move you made on the court with a mixture of awe and apprehension. Your game was flawless and it was clear that you were dominating the match.
Minutes ticked by, a short interlude and then it continued. Everyone was on the edge of their seat. With one last toss up of the ball, you won an ace, and victory was yours.
Pride swelled in your chest as you were looking at Tashi who gave you a smile and clapped. You did it, securing another win in your name. Petrovska has an absolute meltdown, cursing at herself in Russian, smashing her racquet to the ground.
Tashi made sure you had a small party to celebrate your win. Your family was there, the people who watched the game, other friends and your fans. It was nighttime, supposed to be cold but the twinkling fairy lights managed to emit the tiniest bit of warmth, the alcohol in your system definitely helped as you and Tashi danced to Nelly.
You tap Tashi on the shoulder. "I'm thirsty, come with me?" You asked, she simply nodded as she followed you to the table, both of you grabbing your drinks.
"Come, let's sit down over there," She points to some loungers off by a wall where it's more quiet. "Just want to get away from all the busy."
You follow suit before plonking yourself on the one to the left. "Ugh, my feet hurt," You complain, Tashi nodding next to you. You let your eyes momentarily flutter closed before voices interrupt.
"I'm Patrick Zweigâ."
"Art Donaldson."
You open your eyes to see two males dressed in jeans and pale coloured button ups. One has curly black hair and the other, slightly longer blonde hair. Both of their eyes flitting between you and Tashi.
Tashi is the first to speak. "I know who you are, you're fire and ice, right?"
You let out a giggle through your nose, drawing both their attentions. The blonde one flushed as pink as his shirt while the one with the black hair grinned. "Hm, so which ones which?"
"Isn't it obvious?" The darker haired one winked.
"You were fucking incredible today," The other male spoke, looking straight at you. "I mean, it wasn't even tennis, it was something entirely different."
"Thank you," You give him a smile which he mirrored.
"I felt bad for Ilina."
"Don't be, she's a sore loser," You scoffed, taking a sip from your drink.
"And a racist bitch, she's constantly say bad things under her breath in Russian at half time," Tashi said. "Hey, you're going to Stanford, right?" Tashi asked the blonde who looked slightly surprised at her question.
"Uh yeah, how'd you know that?" He questioned.
"I just accepted their offer and they mentioned you," Tashi replied.
"You're not going pro? You're going to a college?" The one with the dark hair asked.
"Yeah, we both are," Tashi jabbed a thumb in your direction and you nodded.
"Yup, I mean I still wanna keep up my education and not flunk only to be sleeping in my car after school," you chuckled.
"Girls! Come to the trophy stand, I want to take pics of the both of you!" Your mother ushered with a big smile, holding up her well expired phone. "And the photographers want some of my baby as well!"
"Right, coming mom!" You yell, "C'mon," you motion for Tashi to follow.
"Let's go," She turns to the two boys. "Gotta go..."
"Yeah, bye!" You wave one last time before disappearing into the crowd of people. The two boys watched as you and Tashi plastered on massive smiles in front of the pristine trophy you won as a photographer snapped photos.
During which, you had learnt that Patrick was the one with the black hair and Art was the one with the blonde hair when you asked Tashi who was who.
Your cheeks ached and your eyes burned when the camera was going off, a multitude of people standing next to you at different times. You even stood next to Tashi while either of your families stood around you two.
"You ready to leave?" Tashi asked, her thumb flicking off some dried mascara that had fallen from your lashes and onto your cheek while you thanked her.
"Absolutely," She tugged on your wrist towards the pathway between the bushes, having both to stop and say your last goodbyes to everyone.
It was quieter as the two of you walked before voices cut through the silence. "Hey!" You looked up to where the voice came from to see Art and Patrick, lounging by some benches in a tucked away corner.
"Guess we should see what they want," Tashi mumbled.
Getting closer, you noticed the two of them smoking cigarettes, both immediately standing up when you and Tashi approached. The smell of tobacco hung in the air, mingling with the cool evening breeze. "Hi," you greeted them, your voice breaking the silence. Patrick glanced at you, then quickly turned his gaze to Tashi, a flicker of recognition in his eyes. "Don't you guys have a final tomorrow?" you asked, genuinely curious about their casual demeanor.
"It's just juniors, so nothing to worry about," Patrick confirmed, his tone dismissive. He looked bashful as he stared at your best friend, his cheeks reddening slightly under her gaze. It was clear he was more interested in her than in any exam.
You nodded, trying to keep the conversation light. "Okay, well um, it's cool how you two stayed," you said with a smile, feeling a bit awkward.
"Do you two smoke?" Patrick asked, his own cigarette bouncing against his bottom lip when he spoke, drawing your attention briefly there.
"No," Tashi replied faster than you did, shaking her head vehemently. Her long hair swayed gently as she did, catching the fading light of the day.
You nodded in agreement. "Yeah, no, we don't smoke," you said, watching as Patrick slipped the cigarettes back into his pocket.
Patrick nodded while Art sucked on his cigarette. "Do you guys wanna go to the beach?"
You agreed and Tashi did once you did, and so now the four of you were walking to the hill that was actually above the beach, you sat on a rock while Tashi sat on a discarded tree stump, the boys sitting on chairs.
Tashi spoke about tennisâ she always spoke about tennis, you sat and listened to her getting appraisal, you got complimented on your game and your skills, but you just smiled in response where as Tashi would talk about how tennis was like a relationship.
You weren't really paying much attention, instead choosing to look over your shoulder at the glistening waves of the ocean, reflecting the moon's edge. The rhythmic sound of the waves was almost hypnotic, drawing you into a tranquil state.
"And you?" Your name was called, snapping your attention away from nature. You turned to find the blonde staring at you intently, a curious look in his eyes.
"Huh?" you responded, a bit startled and disoriented from being pulled out of your reverie. The question hung in the air, and you realized you had missed something important in the conversation.
"Tashi was explaining what tennis is to her, so I asked you what tennis is to you," He continued, finishing off his cigarette.
"Oh, uh, a sport I guess," You shrugged. "It's great and all but..." Tennis wasn't your first choice, nor your second, yet the weight of your future was not dependent on your hands. It was on your father's, and after he saw what Tashi could do and the success that lies in the sport, you were ripped away from your passion and plonked in the middle of the court. It wasn't that you didn't like tennis, you just didn't love it.
"What?!" Patrick's eyes bulged out his head as he sat up. "Just a sport?! Surely you're joking?"
You shook your head earning a scoff from him. Tashi went quiet, looking at her lap. A gentle smile on her face, somehow gif answer struck a little bit of shame in her.
"Hey, um, I think I should go. My dad's probably gonna come looking for me," Tashi spoke, standing up from her seat.
"Oh yeah, hold up. I'll walk you to yours," you said, also standing and dusting the back of your pants, trying to brush off any dirt that might have clung to you. You glanced back at the ocean one last time, the waves still shimmering under the moonlight.
"You have Facebook?"
"What?"
Art tilted his head towards Patrick. "He's asking for your numbers, and so am I."
"Not a home-wrecker," you muttered under your breath, your eyes darting between the two of them. Patrick shook his head at your response with a small smile.
"We don't live together, so it's barely a home," Art nodded at his words, agreeing.
"Yeah, and Patrick has a girlfriend," At this response your eyebrows raised, Patrick's expression fell.
"It's barely a relationship," He excused.
"Sure. They put you two in the hotel in Flushing, right?" Tashi asked them with her arms draped across her chest, shielding her from the chilly night air.
"Room 206."
You let out a short giggle through your nose, softly nudging Tashi with your elbow. "They want you to go tuck them in."
"Not just her, and no, we wanna keep talking..." Art cocked his head, blonde locks falling over his brown as he did as such. "...about tennis."
"Okay," you shook your head, urging Tashi to continue walking. She thankfully did.
"We have beer!" you heard one yell after the two of you, making you laugh. You glanced back over your shoulder with a playful smirk, catching a glimpse of their hopeful faces before they were both covered by the thick bushy arch-way.
You were always in Tashi's dorm, the two of you out of your dresses and into something more comfortable. You chose black cotton shorts and a white Nike hoodie. "I think it'll be fun, don't you?" She asked as she sprayed some deodorant over herself.
"Yeah, but they also seem like two die hard virgins," You snickered. "But shame, they were sweet," Your chin was nestled in the palm of your hand as you silently watched her.
"Or maybe they're secretly sex gods," Tashi shrieked when you threw a pillow in her direction, laughter bubbling from her lips. "What? I'm just saying! The blonde one was totally into you!"
"We had minimal conversation," you playfully rolled your eyes, getting up from the bed as Tashi made her way to the door.
"Yeah, but you didn't see the way he was looking at you when you werenât looking," She said in a sing-song voice, opening the door and shutting it behind you, the two of you walking down the passage together.
"Okay, sure Tashi."
"Do you think they're actually coming?" Art, who was laying on his back on the bed, asked. Legs leaning against the wall as a cigarette dangled from his lips, tossing a ball up and down.
"They might," Patrick groaned when the AC didn't work, even after he had banged on it multiple times.
"Dude, you made it sound like we wanted to fuck them in here."
"...we do."
"And if they do, then what's your plan?"
"We each have one, or worse, they both have one, while the other sits in the bathroom."
"Just face it, they're not coming," and then, there was a knock on the door, both boys went stock still and rigid, a second knock brought them out of their shock before they were hurriedly stumping out their cigarettes and throwing on shirts. The door before you ripped open, revealing the two who looked out of breath and flushed. "Hey."
"Hi."
So now the four of you ended up sitting on the floor, sporting one beer can between you all, and a deck of cards as you guys were in the middle of Go Fish. "You guys went to boarding school."
"Mhm, we've been bunk mates since we were twelve."
"That's cute," You said before taking a swig from the chilled can of beer, before placing it down in front of you.
The conversations switched between different topics. "So what about the two of you?" Tashi asked, gesturing between the two of them. It took a solid minute before they realised what she was insinuating.
"No."
"No."
"Well..."
"No, don't."
"What? Itâs a sweet story," Patrick giggled as he recalled it, Art went a brilliant shade of red as he hid his face behind his shirt, hiding his embarrassment.
"Well go on, let's hear it," You leant backwards, leaning against your hands as you watched Art turn even more red before he threw his hands up in defeat. Patrick nodded.
"I taught Art how to jerk off," Patrick said, watching Art's head hang in embarrassment. You couldn't fight off the grin that made way on your face.
"Okay. Patrick was an early bloomer, and I think I was on time," Patrick said. "And one time, I thought he was asleep but he was, y'know... jerking offâ."
"Jerking off. And, yeah..." Patrick butted in.
"And I asked him, "What are you doing?"And he told me; He's jerking off." Patrick again jabbed in with the 'jerking off' part. "He asked me if I've ever done it before and I said no, so he just...showed me."
"What do you mean he showed you how?" Tashi laughed, she had been sitting with her legs pressed against her chest, arms wrapped around her knees.
"No I mean...he did it on his bed and I did it on mine. We did it together but like, on opposite sides...in the room," Art looked like he wanted to die, to have the earth split open in two and swallow him.
"Silently?"
"Hmm? No, no. I was think of Kat Zimmerman and so..." Patrick explained.
"So I was thinking about her too."
"Because it's always better to have someone in mind, y'know?"
"So who finished first?" Tashi asked, you turned your head to look at her with a raised brow, wondering why she was asking all these questions.
"I don't remember..."
"I think it was him," Patrick pointed at Art. Art tried to deny but Patrick wasn't hearing it. "No... it definitely was. I remember," He began to chuckle. "I remember how he was just sitting there, like some kid who had spilt milk all over his lap. I knew enough to have a sock nearby. Forgot to tell Art so..."
"Oh Jesus, Patrick!" Art sighed, skin hot and pink from how much Patrick was letting on.
"No, I think it's a cute story," You giggled while Art looked at you distraught before running a hand over his face muttering things under his breath.
Tashi took a sip of beer before she shook the can. "We're out of beer.â
She said that before standing up, you watched as she looked around the room before deciding to sit on the edge of the bed, hands in her lap. Her eyes cast down on the three of you as you still sat on the floor.
With a jut of her head, she said; "Come here,"
"Which oneâ?" Patrick was already pushing off the floor and sitting down next to her, Art following suit, while you decided to stay seated on the floor, turning to look at them.
Tashi sat on the bed with Art and Patrick next to her while you sat on the floor, in the boy's shared room. It took you by surprise when she leant closer to Patrick, almost as if she was going to kiss him before tilting her chin away and pressing her lips against Art's. Patrick looked butt-hurt to say the least.
Her lips mingled against Arts in a steamy kiss, Patrick's shoulders sagged and you, all you could do was watch. She then broke the kiss and kissed Patrick, Art watching their lips move together, mesmerised.
What shocked you the most after she had finished kissing Patrick, was when she bent at the waist to look at you. "Come here," Tashi instructed.
You blinked up at her before standing up from the ground and walking towards her. She grabbed the front of your hoodie and pulled you onto Art, whose hands had to grip your waist to prevent you from falling, your hands on his shoulders.
"Go on..." She instructed, gesturing between you and Art. Your lips parted to say something but closed as you turned to look over at Art.
Slowly, you brought your face to kiss, lips brushing his, which had a thin layer of saliva on them, and pressed them together. Arts hands moved from your hips to your lower back, lips moving increasingly faster and harder against each other.
Tashi watched as you kissed the boy, Patrick watched her. Her brown eyes blown with lust as she slowly brought her lips to Patrick's, eyes prying off of you before fluttering shut.
You leant closer, lifting your legs up to straddle him, his hands immediately going to cup your ass, to hold you firm in place. Art would let out small whimpers and whines against your lips, turning into putty when your fingers thread through his locks, the boy almost came in his pants when you tugged in his air.
It really didn't help when he felt your hips dip, as you began to grind your hips against his lap, his pyjama shorts were so thin, and your cotton shorts were just as, he could feel the heat of you against his aching erection.
Art gave up and lay back, having you still cage him in, hips relentless. You could feel his cock, hard and throbbing against your clothed arousal, which was dripping into your panties.
Art's lips broke away from yours, allowing for your lips to kiss down his jaw and suck purple and red bruises on his neck. His mouth lax, letting out whimpers of your name. "Aw, fuck...shit..." He'd moan, his strong hands gripped at the flesh of your hips, his own hips kept rocking up against you.
You were well aware of the scene next to you, Tashi and Patrick who's lips were locked together, Patrick was more rough with Tashi than Art was with you, but he wasn't as talkative or loud than Art.
"Please?" Art didn't know what he was begging for, but he needed something. The small patch of wetness in his underwear from his pre-cum was seeping through to your own wet patch of arousal.
"You like this, Art?" You asked against his skin, Art nodded, his larger hand finding the ends of your hair and tugging at it, you could only let out a moan of your own. You moaned his name, and that was Art's end game as he spilled his hot cum in his shorts, moaning out your name.
You couldn't enjoy it any longer, the way you felt your own high near, the way you felt wet and sticky down there, desperate for release before you were yanked backwards by Tashi, who gripped your hoodie. "Come on, it's time to go."
"W-What?" You asked in disbelief, back on your feet. Art had sat up and grabbed a pillow, hiding the massive spill in his shorts with a face as red as a turnip. "But I was...we were justâ."
"Ah, ah, ah, it's past one. Bed time, missy." Tashi let go of your hoodie and began to walk towards the door. You could tell she enjoyed her kiss, with her messy hair and the dark marks that began to darken against her skin, but clearly that's all it was for her and Patrickâa kiss.
You had no choice but to follow, turning to look over at Art who watched you, like a kicked puppy, leave. "I'm not done with you," you pointed to him before you were out of sight.
Patrick waited until you were guaranteed to be out of ear shot before turning and grabbing Art by the shoulders and ferociously shake him. "Dude! Look at you! Almost banged one of the hottest chick ever!" He exclaimed. "You should totally go for her, she was definitely into you."
"You think?" Art got a little too excited and stood up, pillow slipping from his lap, exposing his semi-boner he got from recalling the events.
"Yeah," Patrick slapped Art's boner, who doubled over in pain. "Go for it."
A week had passed, Tashi and Patrick were somewhat a thing, as for you and Art, well, he thought you were ignoring him. Anytime he saw Tashi, you weren't with, you were always with Tashi. The one time he asked her where you were and she said practicing on the courts, when he got there, there was no sign of you.
Art wondered if he did anything wrong, if you regretted the kiss. Since the kiss, Art hadn't been able to get you off his mind, he knew of you before and thought you were brilliant and was somewhat attracted, but now? He's utterly infatuated with you, and you... are no where to be seen.
You had been so caught up in your studies, you had one last final to write before you were done. You had spent most of your days harbouring knowledge in your room or practicing for shorter periods than what you perhaps should have, it was an ongoing cycle.
Thankfully all that stress was gone into this air when you walked out the exam venue, immediately going to the small vending machine. "God damn it," You sighed, your foot digging into the metal box when it swallowed up your five dollar bill and refused to give you your snack. "Why?"
Your name was called, you look at the directions to see Art jogging over to you. The closer he got, the more sheepish he became. "There you are, I haven't seen you all week."
"Oh. I'm sorry, I've just been studying for my final finals, between that and tennis I've just lost track of time," You told him honestly. You watched as his shoulders relaxed and he suddenly became embarrassed.
"Oh. I thought you were avoiding me," His hand rubbed the back of his neck, skin burning under his touch. "I'm sorry."
"Avoiding you?" You crossed your arms over your chest. "Why would I do that?"
"I...I don't know. I just thought that you didn't like the kiss we had, and got weirded out when I, y'know..." Art stared at his shoes, they were pearly white and brand new. "I didn't know, now I sound stupid."
"Pfft, no you don't," You let out a breath of a laugh. "And no, I did very much enjoy our kiss, and I kinda liked it when you came in your pants."
Art let out a groan of embarrassment, big smile stretching on his face as his head lifted up to look at the popcorn ceiling before looking at you. "Stop! Now you make me sound like a virgin," He laughed and shook his head.
"No, it was cute," You smiled up at him, leaning against the vending machine. It was silent as you two just smiled and stared at each other. His face inching to yours.
A beat passed. "I really wanna kiss you right now," He admitted, his voice was soft yet filled with desire. "Can I kiss you right now?"
"I'd be upset if you didn't," Arts lips were instantly on yours. Not caring if others could see. His one hand was on your jaw, fingers pushing between your hair, tongue licking at your bottom lip.
You didn't allow him into your mouth before you broke the kiss, finding it sweet how his lips chased yours before realising you weren't going to continue the kiss, opting to look at you with a small pout.
"Why'd you stop?"
"Can't give you everything you want," You smirked. "You'll have to find me later if you want more, and who knows? Maybe you'll cum in your pants again," Your smirk grows bigger when you finish your sentence before brushing past him and walking away, leaving a very flustered and shocked Art by the vending machine.
The irony of it all was your snack slipped from its holder, landing with a loud 'clang' at the bottom. Art replayed your words in his head, and now he couldn't wait for 'later'.
Except he didn't know when was 'later' and where it was. He doesn't know which hotel, you were in nor which room. He would only be able to catch you during school. He thankfully caught you in the schools canteen, where he was going to meet Patrick. You were busy ordering from the counter when he saw you, Patrick going to go sit down by the counter against the wall.
You had bought a chocolate croissant, spinning around only to almost bump into Art. "Oh, didn't see you there."
"Sorry," You could count how many times he'd apologised today on one hand. "Just, didn't know when to catch you, and I don't have your number so... uh," He licked his bottom lip as he chose how to ask you. "When is...later?"
"Ohh, later, as in round two, when we pick up where we left off later? M'kay, well that's whenever you want it to be," You gave him a smile after your words.
He tilted his chin down by a smidgen, his blonde locks barely moving as some were trapped under his red cap he wore backwards. "If I had my way, later would be now," He admitted, a flash of darkness surged though his eyes before it was gone as he stepped around you to order, leaving you just as shocked as you left him by the vending machine.
You let out a hum, turning around to face his back. "I'll come visit you tonight at eight, make sure your friend is gone before I arrive. See you," You chirped before spinning on your heel and walking out the canteen.
Art mulled on your wordsâyet again, and now he really, fucking couldn't wait until 'later'. He grabbed his two churros from the lady at the counter and made his way towards Patrick who was grinning from ear to ear. "So. What did she say?"
Art cleared his throat. "Hey, don't you wanna go spend the night with Tashi?" He asked, in hopes that Patrick would agree and not catch on to what he said, unfortunately for him, he did.
"Man, my man! You horn dog!" Patrick chuckled as he grabbed his churro and took a large chuck out of it, chewing on it mercilessly. "But yeah, I'll spend the night with Tashi."
And then, the 'later' came. Patrick had left and told Art he'd be back somewhere tomorrow, leaving Art all on his own. Art had only ever done casual, he'd gone on maybe two dates, which ultimately failed, and he's slept with maybe four other girls which would all leave by the morning, he told himself this was nothing new, yet found himself spraying on a little extra deodorant to smell good, for you.
His heart rate spiked when he heard you knock on the door, he rushed to rip it open revealing you in a pink sweater and denim shorts. He greeted you a little too quickly, he was nervous.
"Hi, Art," You stepped inside and wrapped your arms around him in a hug, he immediately melted into it as he shut the door with one hand.
"I have a movie and some snacks, if you wanna watch," His thumb jabbed towards the small TV in the hotel room that was positioned in the corner, facing the two double beds.
"Sure, Art. Lead the way," Art nodded and turned to go find a movie to watch, pondering over which was suited for the occasion before settling on some crappy romance flick. You sat at the edge of Arts bed, where you two had kissed. Art rushed to turn off the lights and grab a packet of chips, before plonking himself next to you.
You thought it was sweet how you two were supposed to fuck, yet here you were, watching some poorly executed film.
Twenty minutes had passed before you grew bored of the movie. You turned your head to watch Art instead.
You could see how tense he was, his adams apple bobbed when he swallowed a chip, his back plank straight instead of hunched in relaxation.
A soft gasp caught in his throat when he felt your hand land on his back and run up and down his spine. "You're so tense, Art," He looked over at you, while you watched your hands movements. His hands firm on his thighs.
His eyelids fluttered shut and his lashes kissed his cheeks when your hands went higher to massage his head. He dared not open is eyes when your warm breath fanned his face. You were close, so so close!
"Look at me," Like an obedient puppy, his eyes snapped open as he stared at you. "Why are you so nervous?â
Art swallowed. "You make me nervous," He said, before whispering; "because I like you."
You couldn't fight off the smile that graced your face. "It's okay Art, I like you too," your hand moved to his forehead where you pushed his curls back, Art enjoying your touch before a frown graced his features when it left. He then felt your weight on him as you climbed onto his lap, exactly like the time you shared your kiss. Arms looped around his neck and your chest against his.
His hands got a little more touchy as they slipped under your sweater and settled on the warm skin of your lower back, his fingertips tracing every groove and bump there. His sky blue eyes looking up at you through his light lashes in the dimly lit room. "You do?" He whispered softly.
"I do," Then, you pressed your lips to his. He sighed against you, allowing for the rest of his nerves to evaporate, his arms ringing you closer. You felt his lashes brush your skin, and his curls against your forehead. You licked at his bottom lip and he immediately allowed for your tongue to press against his.
Your nails scratched at the spot beneath his ear, sending a shiver down his spine and an involuntary whimper to escape his throat. It was so easy to get him worked up, his erection making his Nike shorts taut. His eyes rolled back in his head when your hips shifted against his, allowing for some release.
"Mmm, Art," You breathlessly mumbled, even though the denim shorts barely helped you, the feeling of his hands touching all over your back and rear was still pleasant.
Your hips became more vigour, and Art became louder. "No, no, no..." He seemed to catch on to what you were trying to do, his hands flew to your hips and ripped you off, making you hover. Arms strong from his years of tennis. "You're not gonna make me cum in my pants again."
You smirked at this. "You're no fun," You shook your head, Art rolled over, now having your back against the bed, and your legs dangle off the sides. You wasted no time, grabbing the front of his shirt and bringing him to you, reconnecting your lips together.
Art kissed you back passionately, his tongue entering your mouth as he took it all in. His hands traveled over your body, trying to memorize it as he felt your curves and your skin. He continued to kiss and nibble down your neck, leaving small hickeys in his path. His hands grabbed the hem of your shirt, slowly and carefully pulling it off of you to reveal your exposed breasts.
Art couldn't help but admire your body. He took a moment to drink in the view, his eyes traveling up and down your frame. He reached out and gently ran a hand over your skin, tracing your curves with his fingers. His calloused fingers went to your nipple, you shuddered when he gave it a gentle tug before letting it settle back into place.
He smiled, a hint of desire in his eyes. "You're so beautiful," he whispered, his voice low and seductive. He leaned in to kiss you again, his lips loving down and finding your neck and nibbling gently.
"Art, take your clothes off," You whine, hand grasping the back of his shirt to pull at it. "It's unfair how I'm half naked while you're fully."
Art let out a bemused chuckle at your impatience, his smile widening. "Anything for you," he teased, his voice dripping with desire. He stood up straight, pulling his shirt off and discarding it on the floor before going for his pants, he then quickly bent at the waist and turned on the lamp, "Wanna see you."
You watched his expose his torso, now stripped down to his underwear before going back to you, his fingers moved forwards and dug into the waistband of your shorts before yanking them, you had already undone the button, with some not-so-fluid motion, they came off. His hands went to your hips but you were so eager to kiss him again, leaning forward and smashing your lips against his.
One of your hands went to steady yourself on his arm with the other was feeling the muscles and flesh of his torso, pinkie finger grazing over his black underpants until your whole hand was grasping his hard cock, even through the material, you felt the ridges and veins, the small wet patch grew the longer you touched him.
"That feels good," Art admitted against your hips, his hips pressing further into your touch. "Really fucking good."
"I know, my baby," Your words sent a flutter through his chest. You moved your hand up before it slipped underneath his boxers, now nestled in your palm as you stroked him. You had to momentarily break the kiss, pushing his boxers down and spitting on the head of his cock, throbbing red, lubricating it as you jerked him off slowly.
"Mmfâ fuck!" He hissed when your thumb brushed his leaky slit, hips bucking up into your hand.
You continued this motion, jerking your hand and rubbing his tip, moments before your name spilled from his lips like a mantra, white spurts of his thick cum spilling onto your hand. You continued until he rode out his high until bringing your hand to your lips and licking majority of his cum off with a satisfied hum.
Art grabbed your hand unexpectedly and moved it to his lips, his mouth opening, letting his tongue lap up the rest of his cum on your hand in languid strokes, eyes boring into yours. "You tasted so good," You told him, his eyelashes quivered and his cheeks flushed further at your praise.
He let your hand fall when he finished, you dug your hand into the bedding and shifted upwards until your back hit the bed frame. He crawled onto the bed until he was hovering over you, blonde locks sticking to his forehead with perspiration.
His head ducked forward to kiss your collar bone and up, trailing over your neck as he peppered it with kisses before his nose nudged your ear. "God, I need you so bad."
"You have me, Art," Your hands pressed against his shoulders, pushing him to the side and then onto his back, allowing for you to kick your leg over and straddle him, the only thing in your way was your own underwear. "All of me."
Art looked exactly that, like an art piece. His blue eyes contrast to his pink cheeks and pale hair, lips red and swollen from the numerous kisses, his chest heaving up and down and his heart thundering away, waiting for your next move. His hands went to your hips, thumb rubbing along any groove you had, his hands now warm. "All of you," He echoed.
You raised your lips, your fingers pushing your underwear to the side, not even off, your eyes flickered to his. He gulped when he saw how wet you were, arousal dripping down into him. He moved his hand to grab his cock, positioning it in a way that was easy for you to slip him inside.
First was the tip, it set you up for the anticipation of all of hi , the further you sunk down onto him, the more it hurt, but you weren't gonna complain, not after pining to Tashi about this boy. Art let out a whimper when he was fully sheathed, already tender from his previous orgasm.
You planted both hands on his chest before lifting your hips, and dropping them down. Arts hands tightened their hold as he assisted, having you lift them plummet onto his cock, his blonde eyebrows scrunching in pleasure. The movements got faster, and the euphoria expanded. "You're making me feel so good," You told him, hips doing a combination of grinding on and riding his cock
Arts eyes shone upon your words, pride sweeping in his chest and a warm feeling settling in his tummy. "Yeah?" He asked and you nodded, taking one hand of his and arranging g his fingers in a way that pressed against your throbbing clit, Art new immediately what you wanted and fervently rubbing circles on the aching nub, your pussy squeezing him at the added pleasure. "Ah fuck, feels so good, so so good."
Art didn't shut up as you rode him. He'd moan, groan and whimper your name. Telling you how good you felt around him. "Am I doing good?â His voice was soft and shaky.
"Yes Art, shit! Youâre doing so good, baby. I'm so proud," and your words were even shakier. Arts fingers rubbed faster against your clit, he bent his knees which made you shift forward, his cock now repeatedly bumping against that one spot that had you seeing stars and galaxies beyond.
That sent Art toppling over the edge, his hands squeezed harder around your waist, head thrown back and his back arched as he came, buried deep in your pussy. You felt his warm load full you up, and his hips stop moving against yours, a loud moan of your name falling from his lips.
You couldn't beat the small ounce of disappointment you felt when he lifted you, soft cock slipping out, and your orgasm vaporise. "Did you enjoy?"
He nodded, eyes blinking up at the ceiling. His lips then parted before shutting, before ultimately opening again. "You didn't cum, did you?"
You sucked in a short breath. "No."
Arts eyes screwed shut like your words pained him. "I'm sorry," He mumbled.
You were going to say something but he beat you to it.
âSit on my face."
"What?" You asked, astonished.
"You heard me, sit on my face."
You blinked once before swallowing, moving up now face to face with the wall as your pussy hovered over his face, slick with arousal and his own cum. He wasted no time, fingers pushing you firm against him, clit bumping his nose before his tongue dove into your pussy.
His own previous, salty release washed over his tongue, before it moved to your clit, where it began to flick at it. Your fingers sighting out his hair, pulling on it as you ground yourself further against his face. Even though your eyes were fighting to roll back into your skull and your tongue was threatening to fall out, you still made effort to look down at him.
His own eyes shut as he focused on his movements, you'd feel small vibrations against your clit, once he'd wrapped his lips around them, as he whimpered, savouring the way you tasted. Your body fell forward, head smushed against the wall at one particular flick on the tongue.
His long fingers sought out your puckering hole that clenched around nothing, until two fingers filled you up. You had to bite down on your forearm, when he split his fingers open, scissoring inside you. "I-I'm not gonna last any longer," You moaned.
Art mumbled something against you, his tongue lapping faster like a starved man, and that was it. You felt your release rip from you like a tidal wave, legs clamping around his head, drowning him in your fluids.
When you lifted your hips, you saw how the bottom half of his face was drenched in cum, his lips open and panting. You swung your leg around so you could lay next to him. You couldn't help your fingers that wiped away at his face, his pink tongue sticking out to lick your release from your fingers. "How was I? Truly?"
You let out a tired smile. "You were great, Art."
He nodded, tilting his head to look at you. "So were you."
You let out an exhausted chuckle before curling yourself into him, Art's hand went to stroke your hair, lips pressing a kiss against your hairline.
"Will I get to see you again? L-Like other than sex?" His words vibrated against your head.
"If this is a way of asking me on a date, then yes."
You felt him slowly nod. "Okay, yes. Good."
"Good."
"Good..."

Synopsis: You are Nishinoya's older sister, the fearless, confident, and reliable manager... except when faced with your feelings with the team ace. As both of your high school years are going to be coming to a close, will one of you be able to say something about how you feel? Who will overcome their nerves first?
Warnings: reader has she/her pronouns, reader is described as being short because she's nishinoya's sister, language, karasuno being chaotic, season 4 spoilers, tooth-rotting fluff.
Author's Note: My old Asahi fic, as promised. This one is a bit longer and used to be on my old wattpad account some time ago. Asahi is one of my favorite hq characters, literally my baby. This one is pure fluff, and is a bit on the longer side. Also, this fic takes place during the events of season 4 so there are some spoilers in that sense, but nothing too major. Enjoy lovelies <3

They did it. In your two years of being a manager for the Karasuno boys volleyball team, you probably would have never thought that the boys would beat Shiratorizawa, much less make it to nationals. And yet, even as you stared out at the Tokyo sky on the way to the inn, even as Asahi landed that last spike to push them through to the 2nd round, you still felt that little voice whisper in your head in complete awe and disbelief.Â
They did it. Â
After the game, the Karasuno gang packed up and headed back for the inn. Most of them took a nap or stared tiredly out the window. They were all exhausted from the thrill of their first game, and they should be. They fought hard and restlessly. The boys showed everyone watching in the stands today that they didnât come here on some fluke, they came here because they are going to win.Â
Thatâs right. The entire damn tournament.Â
Takeda shouted from the front, breaking you from your thoughts. âWeâre here everyone!â Hinata immediately jumped up from his seat and barreled full speed toward the front. Kageyama chased after him not much longer (probably because Hinata woke him up when he started running). You chuckled at the duo and slowly got up from your own seat in the front. As everyone else piled off you began making your way toward the back. You kind of made it your own job to wake anyone up once youâve reached the destination on road trips.Â
You spotted Tanaka and Yuu dozing a few seats back. You silently made your way over to them, and started to shake Tanaka.Â
âTanakaaaa, wake uuuup,â you sang while shaking his shoulder. He lazily opened his eyes and let out a yawn. You then reached over to poke at Yuuâs back which was turned to you as he wrapped himself around his duffel bag. âCome on Yuu.â You didnât have to try that hard with Yuu. After all, you woke him up for school every day.Â
As you leaned back, Tanaka stretched his arms above his head and asked, â(Y/N)? Are we here?â You gave him a nod and moved out of the way for him to get up. Yuu was glaring at you from behind his seat.Â
âWhatâs wrong Yuu?â you asked, smirking. âMad cause I woke you up?â Â
âI was having a good dreaaammm,â he whines.Â
âWhatever, just get your lazy ass up and let's head inside,â Tanaka drawls as he slaps Yuu upside the head.Â
âMy lazy ass?â Yuu retorts. Yuu grabbed his duffel bag, and then returned a smack upside Tanakaâs head as they walked toward the front of the bus. âYou were sleeping too!â Here they go againâŠÂ
âBoys!â you yelled at them. They stopped. âJust get off the bus!â The libero and the wing spiker left without saying another word.Â
You sighed while shaking your head. You considered this your own role as a manager sometimes. Kiyoko was more of the quiet one that did her job well, Yachi was the newbie still getting used to the reins, and you were the one that kept the boyâs attitudes in check (yes, even Daichi sometimes).Â
You still remember back when you were about halfway through your first year as a manager. You were a second-year at the time. There was a day when the boys were so rowdy that not even the old Coach Ukai could calm them down. You must had been on your period or something that day, because you got so mad at them. All of a sudden, you had started scolding them for their attitudes and lack of respect, telling them that they needed to represent Karasuno High School the right way. It scared the team a bit. Their tiny manager that was practically a foot shorter than them was putting them in line and they actually listened. And so, the role kinda stuck (though you try not to lash out like you did that day).Â
You smiled at the memory. You started your way towards the front until you heard a few light snores coming from a seat further back to your right. Huh, guess I missed one. You walked back to the seat, almost yelping in surprise at who you saw.Â
Asahi? The ace slept with his own duffel bag propped up against the window as he snuggled it like a pillow. Half his face was buried into the bag while the other half was still in a peaceful slumber. Little bits of his brown hair fell around his forehead and over his ears from his bun. One longer strand of hair fell out over his nose, and would lift up slightly whenever he let out a small snore. You wondered how he didnât wake up from Yuu and Tanaka yelling as they got off. Daichi and Suga did say that Asahi sleeps like the dead, but youâve never got to actually see that for yourself.Â
You felt heat crawl up your face and ears at the sight of him. Asahiâs face was usually always concentrated, scared, or smiling. But this was somehow different. Seeing him sleeping like that made you stop dead in your tracks and stop thinking rationally. Whatâs worse? Heâs not even trying. Asahiâs expression, mixed with his messy hair and snores, was pulling you in like a magnet. You thought it was downright adorable. You wanted to sit by him, maybe get a little closer. Close enough that perhaps you could smell the scent off his jacket orâŠÂ
Your blushing got worse. You liked to keep these thoughts under wraps, but when they did come up you couldnât help but get flustered. Fortunately, sitting next to him was as far as you got.Â
Hesitantly, you reached over to grab and shake Asahiâs shoulder. âAsahi,â you whispered. He didnât budge. God, you were so lucky that no one could see you doing this. Under normal circumstances, with everyone in here, you would have been redder than a Nekoma jersey. âAsahi,â you whispered a little louder this time, shaking his shoulder a bit more. When he stirred and sucked in a breath, you flinched and stood up so quickly that you thought your spine snapped. But sadly, it didnât, and now here you are, watching as Asahi opened his eyes ever so slowly.Â
When he sits up and his eyes finally land on you, you glued your eyes to the seat you were just sitting on. âO-Oh, (y/n)! Are we here?â Asahi asks in a groggy voice while looking up at you and then out the window to see the inn.Â
âY-yeah!â you answered, cursing your voice for going a little more high pitched than you planned. You forced yourself to look up at him and conceal your blush. âI woke you upâŠâ Just as he rose, you started to walk to the front with Asahi now not that far behind you. You swore, even just feeling him walking behind you was setting off butterfly cannons in your stomach. So, you composed yourself and tried to just walk straight.
But, what if you stopped? What if you leaned back, felt the warmth of his broad chest against your head⊠who are you kidding, both you and him would have a heart attack if you ever tried something so bold. You couldnât seem to place how these thoughts entered your head about someone so fragile like that...
Both of you got off the bus and walked side by side now toward the lobby. You were mentally smacking yourself for thinking such things with him so close by.Â
When you entered the lobby, you took a seat and forced yourself to stop and think about something else.Â
âIâm going to put my stuff upstairs, see ya (y/n)!â Asahi called to you, turning for the stairs. Man, you were so caught up in your own thoughts that you didnât even talk to him! Just how awkward can you get-
âSee ya for dinner!â you called from over his shoulder as he, much to your relief and dismay, disappeared upstairs.Â
You let out a small sigh as you watched him disappear. Of course, youâve fallen for the Ace of Karasuno. You just couldnât help it. Asahi is one of the greatest friends you have and probably the most caring and understanding person youâve ever met. He interested you too, how someone that big and imposing could be so gentle. Not only that, you did think he was really attractive. You started feeling this way at the beginning of your second year, and it didnât take long for everyone to catch on. Heck, even the current first years have noticed it (Tsukishima teases you about it so much you have to remind him to respect his fucking elders and their problems). Somehow Asahi hasnât caught on, probably due to his usual softie mentality.Â
Thatâs probably for the best. Not wanting to screw up your friendship with Asahi is probably the reason youâve never confessed anyway. Probably.
But youâre running out of time. After this tournament, you have a few more weeks before you both graduate and you go off to attend university. So maybe youâll just enjoy the time that you have with him, even if you most likely wonât tell him in the end. Â
___________________________________________________________
Asahi walked up to the boys room with his duffel bag, his mind a flurry of thoughts. Should I have stayed back with her? No, that would seem a little creepy⊠What do you mean creepy? Sheâs your friend! Shoot, I didnât even tell her thank you for waking me up! Great going Asahi-
When Asahi entered the boys room, he was met with Kageyama being shoved into him, causing him to drop his bag.Â
âAh! Sorry Asahi,â Kageyama apologized as Asahi bent down to pick it up.Â
âI-itâs fi-âÂ
âYeah Baka-yama! Say sorry!â Hinata shouted from across the room, sticking his tongue out at Kageyama.Â
âYouâre the one that pushed me, dumbass!â Kageyama roared before storming back over to Hinata.Â
Asahi chuckled and made his way over to where Suga and Daichi were watching the pair fight from a safe distance.Â
âHey, Asahi! Whyâd you take so long to come up?â Daichi asked. He looked a little concerned, maybe even worried. Him and Suga really are just like his parentsâŠÂ
âO-oh no r-reason I-â he began. Asahi tried to avoid eye contact as his own voice began betraying him again. Eye contact was dangerous with these two sometimes, even if they were his friends. Both Suga and Daichi raised an eyebrow at him. âUm⊠I fell asleep on the bus a-and⊠(y/n) woke me up,â he muttered while getting quieter as he said your name.Â
âAww, well isnât that sweet!â Suga cooed with a teasing smirk. Asahi swore, whenever he brought you up when you weren't around, they were always quick to tease him. Maybe they are his parentsâŠÂ Â
Asahi felt a tiny blush begin to form on his cheeks as he stuttered âS-S-Suga, can we not talk about this right nowâŠâÂ
Daichi let out a disappointed sigh. âCâmon Asahi, youâve basically had a crush on her since she became a manager. You gotta tell her already!âÂ
âTell who what?â asked Hinata who suddenly appeared beside Daichi. Asahi went stiff as a board, looking nowhere else than his shoes.Â
âTell (y/n) that he likes her,â he heard Tsukishima say from beside Hinata. âWhat? Did you not know that he has feelings for her?âÂ
âWait, you mean⊠those kinda feelings?â Hinataâs voice got louder. It felt so loud that Asahi thought he was going to faint from the embarrassment.Â
Yamaguchi was quick to chime in with Tsukishima. âWell yeah! Hasnât Tsukki told you this before?â How did they know?! Noya didnât tell them⊠right?Â
As if on cue, Tanaka and Nishinoya also joined the conversation. âYeah man! Who wouldâve thought that Asahi would have a crush on such a hot girl like her, huh? Whatâd you think Noya?â Tanaka asked as he laughed along with the group.Â
âAsahi!â Noya yelled right into Asahiâs ear, scaring the living shit out of him. Almost the whole room went quiet. Noya pointed straight into Asahiâs face, causing his eyes to widen and look at his finger. Noya then began speaking as if he were talking of destiny, âAzumane Asahi, as Nishinoya (y/n)âs younger brother, and as her sole protector for life, I grant you permission for you to court her, and-âÂ
âOh please. Do you even know what the word âcourtâ means when you say it like that?â Tsukishima snickered. Asahiâs body went cold with chills as his face flushed crimson. âYouâre basically giving him permission to-âÂ
âWould you guys shhhhhh!â Suga screamed at them before dropping his voice to a whisper. Oh thank God for Suga- âThe girls room is right next door! They couldâve heard you for all you know! Have some respectâŠâ Hinata squealed a âsorryâ and Tsukishima just walked away with a smirk. Noya gave Asahi a firm slap on the back. Everyone else that took part in the conversation left to do their own thing.
Suga put a gentle hand on Asahiâs shoulder, causing him to look into his eyes. âLook Asahi, whenever youâre around (y/n), I notice a slight change in you. Youâre not super tense. Youâre actually a lot more relaxed around her. Youâre more confident and a lot more happy. She pushes you to do better unlike any one of us. You gotta tell her how you feel, and you have to do it soon, Asahi.âÂ
âYeah, and even if she doesnât feel the same way, she isnât the type of person to avoid you afterwards,â Daichi adds, giving him a reassuring smile.Â
Asahi blushed again before smiling at the ground. Is that really how he seems around you? Sure, some of what Suga said is true. He does feel a slightly bigger push when youâre the one to give pep talks before games, and it would be a lie to say that he wasnât happier around you, but he thought everyone felt that wayâŠÂ
And the other things that Suga said? Asahi would just have to see for himself. Confess to you? Him, who has never been so in love with someone, and just happens to have no experience when it comes to that same department? Heâs even surprised that words just came so naturally with you but confidence be damned! He never prepared himself for this!Â
Well, it is his third year after all⊠maybe he could learn a thing or two before ending high school. What does he have to lose?Â
âY-Yeah...alright.âÂ
There was a knock before the door opened. âAlright guys, meeting in the conference room in five. Dinner will be ready shortly after!â Coach Ukai yelled above the conversations. As soon as the team responded, one by one each boy began to leave the room. Daichi gave Asahi a small pat on the back before leaving with Suga. Soon, Asahi was the only person left in the room, and the only tension present was created within his thoughts.Â
___________________________________________________________
You leaned your head back and closed your eyes as you let the steam and heat of the bath allow you to unwind. Kiyoko and Yachi had already climbed in with you. You sat to the right of Kiyoko and Yachi sat on her left.Â
âRough day so far, (y/n)?â Kiyoko asked with her usual calming gaze. You could tell why almost all the boys were so into her. Seeing Yuu, Tanaka, and even boys from other teams try to hit on her was one of the funniest things to you. There was no denying that Kiyoko is pretty, and she always had this earthly calm about her that you just couldnât put your finger on sometimes. Kiyoko has been your closest girl friend since you started as a manager, and now even Yachi was one too.Â
âYeah,â you groaned. It may not seem like it to everyone else, but you had been stressed almost since you woke up this morning. First, there was the tension of the boys first game. Then, Kiyoko had to run back to grab Hinataâs bag that he left at the train station. The stress went away slightly after the boys won the first game, but the tension was still there now that they have to win the next one. To top it off, the boys just found out at their meeting that they would be going up against the team was ranked #2 to win nationals. Not to mention, their setter (according to Kageyama) was on the All Japan Youth team. If that didnât make everyoneâs anxiety for this tournament any worse, you didnât know what did. Youâre definitely going to make sure that the boys settle down to get enough sleep tonight.Â
Kiyoko and Yachi listened as you went on your rant about the day. But as you continued on, you let something slip out. âNot to mention, I woke up Asahi on the bus today. Asahi of all people! Then when we walked back I didnât even say anything! I got so caught up in my own thoughts that I didnât even realize how awkward I was beingâŠâÂ
You paused, realizing what you just said. Your hands flung up to conceal the blush now forming as you muttered something incoherent about not meaning to say that.Â
âHonestly (Y/N), I think itâs pretty funny how you react around someone like Asahi!â Yachi giggled. Kiyoko must have been pointing things like that out to herâŠ
Kiyoko smiled at you. âSheâs right, you know. Itâs almost like you two switch personalities when youâre together.âÂ
You turned your body to face them. âT-thatâs not true!â you argued. The massive blush on your ears and face said otherwise. âIâm still the same person!âÂ
The bathing room went suddenly quiet as if they were silently disagreeing with you. You turned to face forward again. It was if there was still another question that hung in the air that remained unspoken. â(Y/N)?â It was Yachi that spoke up.Â
âYeah?â you asked somewhat hesitantly.Â
âYouâre not...nervous to tell him you like him⊠are you?â Yachi asked. Your breath shuddered. There it was, that unspoken question. While it might seem normal for a person to be nervous to tell someone they liked them, much less to feel nervous about other things, ânervousâ was not a trait among the Nishinoya siblings. In fact, no one believed you and Yuu have ever felt nervous before. Despite Yuuâs personality being different from yours, itâs still centered around that shared trait between the both of you. The Nishinoya siblings were known on the team for being the fearless ones, Yuu in his playing ability and happy-go-lucky attitude, and you with your confident decision making and ability to push each player to do their best. Itâs what made you two so reliable. You and your brother never got nervous⊠right? You guessed maybe that should only be said of Yuu now. After all, how can someone have no fear if they canât confess to a silly little crushâŠÂ
Maybe thatâs the reason youâve never confessed. This entire time, you thought the reason you never told Asahi how you felt was because you didnât want to mess things up between the two of you.Â
Iâve been lying to myself this whole time, you thought. But, I shouldnât lie to my friends about itâŠ
After a few more minutes of silence, you spoke up. âYeah. I am nervous.â Both of your friends looked to you. As you continued, your voice became lower and quieter as you sounded out your thoughts slowly. âThis entire time Iâve been telling myself that maybe it was better this way because he probably wouldnât return my feelings, but I guess Iâve been stalling.âÂ
âThatâs ok (y/n)! Itâs perfectly normal for someone to get nervous over someone they like!â Yachi reassured you.Â
âSheâs right,â said Kiyoko, putting a hand on your shoulder. âTry to be yourself around him. Heâs actually a lot more confident around you than you think, so it should be like having a conversation with someone like Daichi or Suga. Just try to take those baby steps, ok? If you talk to him tonight, tell us how it went afterward.âÂ
You smiled timidly at your two friends. âOkay, I will.â
___________________________________________________________
You stared at your phone and groaned. 9:00pm.
The boys would not shut up.Â
While Kiyoko and Yachi were settling down into their own sleeping areas, you calmly went over and asked Daichi if he could settle down the boys a little. That was 30 minutes agoâŠ
Oh well, you thought. Kiyoko and Yachi were asleep now, so you thought it would be fine. It had been a while since the team got to hang out as just a plain group of chaotic high school boys rather than a serious volleyball club. Theyâre on this trip to have some fun too.Â
But if they're not quiet by 10:00, youâre definitely making sure they actually fall asleep.Â
With a sigh, you turned off your phone and made your way across the dark room. Careful not to wake your friends, you tiptoed to your bag in the corner and fished out your favorite pajamas: an old yet suitable t-shirt and a fuzzy pair of light orange shorts.Â
After changing, you grabbed your small toiletry bag and walked out of the room. Across from the girlâs room was a small washroom that was shared among all three of the rooms. You were sure that no one would enter since all the boys were in their room and Ukai and Takeda went drinking again. The washroom was completed with two sinks surrounded by a wooden counter, and a public toilet further back in the room.Â
You set your stuff down on the sink closest to the door. As you started to brush your teeth, you questioned if you should stay up longer tonight than usual. You didnât feel that tired yet, and you did hear that there is a balcony near the rooms.Â
You leaned over the sink to spit before faintly hearing the door open. You quickly spit out the excess toothpaste and wiped your mouth on your sleeve before looking to see who stood in the doorway.Â
â(y/n)?â Asahi stared back at you with his wide brown eyes. He had switched his tracksuit for a plain white t-shirt and a pair of grey sweats, which you assumed was his sleepwear. He had a small green bag under his arm. Was he washing up too?Â
âOh, Iâm sorry I thought no one would come in here,â you tried to laugh about it as you quickly started to pack up your toiletries. Damn, youâre just acting nervous around him again!Â
âNo! You can stay, Iâll just come back later,â he smiled politely and turned to leave.Â
âWait!â you called before you even realized what you were doing. Asahi turned to look over his shoulder, surprised. Baby steps rang in your head as you took a breath and said âThereâs another sink if you want to use itâŠâ
Asahi peered over your head. âOh! Sure...â He walked past you to the other sink and you turned to your own bag. As you brought out a comb to run through your hair, Asahi started to run the water in his sink as he fished out his own toothbrush.Â
Almost on instinct, you started talking to yourself in your own head, even when you desperately wanted to talk to the boy next to you. Should I even say anything in the first place? No⊠baby steps (y/n)! Remember! Ok, what should I say? âSo how do you think tomorrow will go?â No, the tension for tomorrow is already high enough. âNice⊠weather? here? in? TokyoâŠ?â Goddammit why is this so hard-
You sighed through your nose and put your comb back. As you looked for the next thing you needed to find in your bag, your eyes slowly drifted to Asahi. He was looking at himself in the mirror as he ran a knuckle along his jaw and muttered something about needing to shave. You assumed he decided against it as he fished out a brush and a bottle of⊠detangler?Â
One part of Asahi was happy and glad that you were sharing the washroom with him. But, the majority of him was feeling like an anxious wreck. It was only three hours ago when Asahi had promised his friends that he would finally confess his feelings to you. And now youâre here with him, alone, and you havenât spoken a word to each other. Maybe he should say something about it now, close the gap he so desperately wanted to reach. Was he ever going to get a good enough opportunity such as this (even if it was in a washroomâŠ)?Â
As Asahi got out his brush and detangler, he decided that maybe he would just talk to you for now⊠yeah. But, what is there to talk about-Â
âIs that lavender detangler?âÂ
He raised his eyebrows and turned to look at you. You looked first at the detangler in his hand, and then up at him with a quirked eyebrow and wide, expecting eyes. You held your face wash in one hand and a hair tie in the other. And those pajamas you were wearing⊠gosh you looked so cute.Â
âOh⊠yeah. Itâs kind of weird I guess,â Asahi chuckled and scratched the back of his neck.Â
âNo, not at all,â you replied matter-of-fact. âI was actually kind of wondering why some parts of the gym smelled like lavender and I was trying to figure out who it was!â You laughed. Itâs true, some corners of the gym started smelling oddly great (for a gym especially). When you asked Kiyoko and Yachi if they had bought new perfume, they both replied with no, and so you became suspicious.Â
When you turned away to wash your face, Asahi took out his bun and began his own nighttime routine. Your butterflies fucking exploded as you rubbed the face wash gently into your skin and listened to the soft spurts of his detangler.Â
___________________________________________________________
For the rest of your time in the washroom, both you and Asahi held great conversation. Though the time was little, the detangler topic led to both of you complaining about your hair consistency, to what color you both would want dye your hair, to favorite colors, to favorite school subjects, and then finally to what you were talking about now, favorite parts about school.Â
âWell thatâs easy. Being the manager for the team,â you replied nonchalantly.Â
âReally?â Asahi packed up the rest of his things in his little bag and turned to you. He left his hair down. You were leaning against the door, your own bag under your arm. Seeing him with his hair down is having you battle the flutter in your stomach as you try to get used to the new sight.Â
âWell yeah, but I guess I have to thank Yuu though after all. If he didnât play volleyball I would probably be tripping over myself in a dance club or something!â You both laughed.Â
He was still laughing as you caught a glance of his face. You wanted to see his smile more. You wanted to hear him laugh more. You just wanted to keep talking to him. This is the first time youâve been able to have a normal conversation with him without stumbling over your words and you did not want it to end this quickly. But at the same time, you probably shouldnât keep him if heâs tired.Â
Asahi felt a little conflicted inside. It was clear that both of you were done washing up, but he still wanted to confess, but⊠well maybe now isnât the time after all. It was still great to talk to you though.Â
You opened the door and walked past the doorway. âSo um, are you going back to the room?âÂ
âWell, I guess. But I probably wonât be able to sleep because of the noise. Thatâs the reason I came to wash up a little earlier.â Asahi responded. The moment was slipping away...
Maybe thatâs one thing to thank the boys for. But is there some way to keep talking to him? He obviously doesnât want to be by the rest of the team. Maybe you could save him from them for a couple of minutes. But where-Â
âUm⊠a-are you tired?â This was about to take a lot of courage from youâŠ
âN-noâŠ?â Asahi was a little confused by your question. What were you about to ask him?Â
âDo you wanna go hang out on the balcony for a bit?â You finally said it. A huge weight was lifted from your shoulders, but the even larger weight remained as you waited for his answer. You squeezed your hands behind your back and gulped. You prayed that he didnât notice how nervous you wereâŠÂ
Asahi just stared at you for about 2 seconds, because 2 seconds was all his brain needed to overcompensate and overthink everything you just said. Did you say hang out on the balcony? As in like, with you? Alone? Together? No one else is there, right? Why? Just to keep you company? Because he said that he didnât really want to be by the rest of the loud and obnoxious team? Did you really care enough about that to invite him on the balcony? Did you actually like talking to him?Â
No, that couldnât be trueâŠÂ
Right?Â
âYeah. We could do that.âÂ
___________________________________________________________
You stood on the balcony, eagerly awaiting Asahi. You leaned over the railing as you took in the cold evening. The wind blew just enough to leave a slight shiver through your body and stir your hair. The lights and sounds of Tokyo filled your senses as you watched the bustling city from afar. You took a look up. The pollution of Tokyo meant you couldnïżœïżœïżœt see stars, but you imagined they were there. There wasnât a single cloud in the sky, save for the occasional airplane flying to or from the city. You brought your gaze back down and stared forward in silent thought.Â
Asahi was grateful that you had arrived at the balcony first after you both left to put away your toiletries. He tried his best to get into the room to put his things away, grab his jacket, and be out of the room where the boys were now playing truth or dare. Noya caught him and tried to convince him to join in, but he politely refused and left without another word. He would have to explain himself later.Â
And now, there you were. You didnât notice him behind you on the balcony. His gaze softened as he took a moment to admire you.Â
You were the only thing that immediately captured his attention, as always. Not the blinding lights of the city beyond, not the atmosphere around him, just you, with your back turned to him as you faced Toyko. Asahiâs breath hitched in his throat. It was in that moment that he realized that nothing else mattered. Not even breathing mattered. The lights werenât as beautiful, the city wasnât as loud, and the chill in the air wasnât as prominent. Everything else seemed to dull and fade, leaving only you.Â
Why?Â
There was just something more captivating in the way your hair flowed in the wind that he seemed to forget that the wind was the reason your hair moved so fluently. The way you were standing and observing the view, almost as if you didnât know that if everything else had eyes, then everything would be gazing and admiring you just like he did every day. The way your eyes were shining so perfectly ahead that the stars would become jealous and try to take that shine, but he would never let them because no matter how high and mighty the stars might be, no matter how many of them there were, you were so much more above them in his own eyes.Â
His thoughts were broken when your body jerked in a slight shiver. He realized that you had forgotten a coat because you were still wearing the same pajamas.Â
It was a lot windier than you thought it would be. You wrapped your arms around yourself and rubbed your bare arms. You were in such a hurry to put your things away that you didnât have time to consider the weather.Â
You jumped when you felt a slight pressure on your shoulder, and then something laying across them. As you reached your hands up to feel what it was, you ran your fingers across the material of a jacket, and then heard the shuffling of someone next to you. Then you realizedâŠÂ
Asahi was here, and he gave you his jacket.Â
You turned to look at him. He was standing about a foot away from you to the right. He had his elbows propped against the balcony railing as he leaned against it. His shoulders caved slightly inward as he stared at the ground. His eyes were casted downward in a way that he almost looked ashamed, but if not, then just lost in thought. A slight tint splayed itself across his cheeks from the cold. The wind moved through his long brown hair like a dance and ruffled his white shirt against the muscle that laid beneath.Â
Your heart caught in your chest. Your breathing stopped as you clutched the jacket.Â
This was a new sight. He didnât look scared. He wasnât smiling. He wasnât sleeping. He didnât look exactly concentrated either.Â
He looked⊠ethereal.Â
His eyes caught yours and he stood a little straighter. âI-I⊠you looked cold⊠so⊠sorry if itâs weird...â His eyes casted off as he spoke. Heâs adorable.Â
âN-noâ you assured. âNot at all! Um, thank you...âÂ
âYouâre welcome... â he smiled at you before looking down again. It was odd. It wasnât like his body was anxious, more like just his eyes were. Could he⊠maybe? Unless he was just trying to be nice.Â
You looked down and held the jacket closer to you. Your blush was growing by the second. It may be a possibility. The jacket smelled like the lavender detangler and cedarwood. Not only that, it was warm. It smelled and felt like him, like your Asahi. Well, he wasnât yours just yet.Â
Just yet.Â
Asahi didnât even know why or how he managed to give you his jacket. He just felt a surge of feeling that had him act. He knew it was love, but at that moment, he never felt it so strongly. It was almost as if it were his instinct to want to make you feel happy and comfortable. Maybe he should act on that more.Â
Maybe he should act on that now.Â
You talked up first. âSo, umâŠâ you mumbled just loud enough to be audible. âHow are you feeling⊠about tomorrow?â You instantly regretted the words as they left your mouth. You couldnât think of another topic, so you just blurted the first thing that came to mind.Â
âUm⊠well, if I said I was feeling alright about it, I would obviously be lying,â he chuckled.Â
âWell, I think youâll be alright once you get out there and kick ass like always,â you said, trying to ease his nerves. You sounded so sure of yourself. That was new, especially around Asahi.Â
â(y/n)...âÂ
âYeah?âÂ
âThank you for supporting meâŠâ he faced you as he leaned against the railing, smiling at you, though he didnât make eye contact. âIt really means a lotâŠâÂ
You gave him your best smile while clutching his jacket. âNo need to thank us. We all have to push our ace so he can do his best!âÂ
He blushed. Something popped into his head, and before he could stop himself, he said it out loud.Â
âNo one pushes me to do my best as much as you, though.â He scared himself when he said it. He couldnât even turn away. He just⊠looked at you. You were still so captivating. So much so that his anxiety and fears couldnât even distract him now.Â
You blushed. Did he just say that? Did he⊠there was almost no doubt now. Your heart started to beat so loud that you couldnât focus on your own thoughts. You could only focus on him.Â
You were looking at him with those beautiful eyes again. This was it. Now. He had to do it now.Â
â(y-y/n)...âÂ
âYeahâŠ?â You turned to him.Â
He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. He couldnât stop staring at you.Â
So captivating.Â
There you stood, patiently waiting.Â
âAsahi, are you-âÂ
âI love you, (y/n).â And thatâs when the words began to tumble out. âI canât believe Iâm doing this⊠but itâs the truth. Ever since you became a manager for our team, Iâve never been able to get you out of my head and... and, Iâm not sure how to feel about it. Youâre just beautiful, and strong, and perfect⊠A-and I want to give you everything. I want to give you⊠more than everything really. But Iâm just...Iâm justâŠâÂ
He kept his eyes closed the entire time, brows furrowed and hands glued to his sides as he spoke. Were you actually hearing this? The person youâve loved for so long confessing that he loves you-Â
You felt this buzzing, warm feeling inside your heart. It spread like wildfire throughout your body, burning you and your senses down to the one source of the truth behind the flames which is that he. loves. you. Â
He squinted as he opened his eyes to look at you. You looked⊠confused. You just kept staring at him. He felt this cold shiver as his cheeks flushed in embarrassment. He clenched his fists. Here it was, you were about to reject him. Why did he even try-Â
âI love you too, Asahi.âÂ
âWhat?âÂ
âWhat?âÂ
For a moment you two just stared at each other. You both couldnât believe what you were hearing. Meanwhile, the same fire was spreading throughout Asahi. Burning down all insecurities, all negative thoughts. It was just that one fact.Â
You love him too.Â
And like fire, it spread throughout both of you quickly. Burning, destroying, until it bubbled over and-Â
That space between you ceased to exist as you stood on your tippy toes, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and kissed him. You didnât know what you were doing, but you didnât care. Youâve waited too long to tell him how youâve felt and this kiss lifted the last weight from your consciousness. You didnât have to pretend. You didnât have to be nervous. You were free.Â
Asahi didnât know how to feel at first. Was this actually happening? Were you⊠kissing him? Well, of course he knew that but he never thought it would happen.Â
He wasnât kissing back. You opened your eyes and leaned back, separating you from his lips. Was that too far? âAh, s-sorry I thought-â
You were cut off by him quickly swooping in and returning the kiss while leaning down to wrap his arms around your waist. You closed your eyes and kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck and tangling your hands in his long hair. His lips were warm and surprisingly soft. You giggled as the scruff from his stubble tickled you. His kiss was so gentle that it was as if he thought you were a porcelain doll, and that if he put too much of himself on you, that you would break. It was loving and sweet, and filled with as much care as he could give you.Â
When you both leaned back, he looked down at you. So small. So amazing.Â
So perfect.Â
Those were his words before he leaned again, pressing himself closer to you. Your back steadied itself against the railing as you continued kissing him. His hands travelled to cup your face, one hand resting itself against your soft skin and the other running itself through your hair. This kiss was just like the last but filled with more need and passion. The fire was growing. Here, nothing else mattered. The lights didnât matter, the air, the city. Just you, with your lips on his.
When you leaned back again, he smiled as you kissed him on the nose. âNot as perfect as you,â you replied. You laughed as his face scrunched in confusion, and then when he realized what he had said out loud before he kissed you.Â
âSo, uh, does this mean⊠W-well, only if you want to of course! But, ah, what Iâm trying to say is-âÂ
âYes Asahi, Iâll be your girlfriend,â you said to him while rolling your eyes and smiling. It seemed that after your kiss, your confidence had returned. How could he kiss you like that but not be able to ask you out? Heâs so awkward, and handsome, and yours.Â
Both of you chuckled, finally before leaning in again. Finally yours.Â
Thatâs when you heard the metallic door on the other side of the balcony open.Â
âHEY ASAHI- woahâÂ

"So that's when I opened the door, and Asahi and (y/n) were making out, and-"
"Noya, stop-" Asahi pleaded.
"Dang, who knew that Asahi had game," Tanaka wheezed.

Whereâs the trans!Kyotani and trans!Iwaizumi fic (those were the characters right?)
HELLO YES SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE, THANK YOU FOR ASKING!!!!
solidarity, or some friendship of the like
summary:Â kyoutani gets his period, and it fucking sucks. iwaizumi is also there, and that sucks a little less. prompt:Â none pairings:Â kentarou kyoutani & hajime iwaizumi (platonic) words:Â 2829Â warnings:Â discussion of periods, implied insecurities about being trans
Kyoutani is hiding. Practice starts in five minutes. He knows that practice starts in five minutes. He can hear the club room clock ticking, loud as a bombâs countdown, even from the bathroom stall. Heâs going to be late, or heâs going to miss practice entirely.Â
For once, he doesnât actually want to skip. Or, he does want to skip because fuck knows he canât show up like this, but he didnât intend to skip today. He actually wants to be on this stupid team, for some fucking reason.Â
He was given a second chance and heâs going to take it, despite something in him screaming out that heâs not really a part of what the rest of the team has. After a few weeks of practicing with them again before their next tournament, heâs well aware that he still doesnât have their trust, not really, but stillâheâs kind of finding himself wanting to earn it.Â
He wants Yahaba to give him the time of day, at least once. He wants Iwaizumi to look at him as more than something he can guide into being next yearâs ace. He wants Oikawaâactually, he doesnât really care about Oikawaâs opinion, but heâs besides the point.Â
Some days, he sinks into the feeling of being part of the team and wonders if, one day, he could genuinely be a part of the dynamic that everyone else has found over the time he hasnât been playing with them. Some days, he thinks he might get there.Â
This is not one of those days. This moment is ruining everything he has worked to convince himself of for weeks now. This is not a day in which he believes he can reach them. If anything, this is only further convincing himself that he can never truly be one of them, be like them. He just doesnâtâdoesnât fucking belong.Â
He can want to play on the boysâ volleyball team as much as he wants to. He can make it past tryouts and onto the team, he can be physically strong and he can beat almost everyoneâeveryone but Iwaizumiâin Seijohâs arm wrestling tournaments, he can make himself look as masculine as possible. He can do all that.Â
And he still will never actually fit in. He wonât ever fit in, not while heâs sitting on the toilet with bloodied underwear and pants both pulled down to his knees. He rubs his palms against his eyes, because he will not cry, he wonât, because boys donât cry and heâs a boy, he is.
He canât cry about this. He wonât. He just has to wait until the club room clears as practice starts, and then he can escape. Only, fuck, he doesnât have a pad or tampon or anything, and he doesnât even have clothesâ
âKyoutani?âÂ
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.Â
âYou in here?âÂ
Fuck.Â
The thing about Yahaba is that he is persistent. He is persistent and he is frustrating and he is not going to give up once he has his mind set on something. While theyâre playing volleyball together, this is something Kyoutani appreciates. While he is hiding from everyone in the bathroom because his body has decided to riot against him, this is not something he appreciates.Â
âOikawa sent me to find you,â Yahaba calls out, and Kyoutani can see his feet step into the bathroom. âWeâre starting practice and he wants you there for some reason.âÂ
And, okay, normally that wouldnât hurt because normally Kyoutani would have something to say back, but right now he feels fragile in a way he tries to never be. Right now he feels like heâs going to snap in half and heâs not going to be able to put the pieces back together. Heâs going to have to quit the team, go back to the rec center, where no one knows about this, andâand all of that hurts.Â
His body is aching and probably he should have seen the signs before he found the drying blood and discharge in his underwear, but he doesnât really track his period because he hates even acknowledging that it happens. And now heâs suffering the consequences of that. Now, Yahabaâs comments are actually sending something stupid painful down his chest and, on a physical level, his chest already feels too tender to touch.
Yahabaâs feet pause outside of the stall door. âAre you good? You coming or what?âÂ
âIâm fucking fine, leave me aloneââÂ
âAre you sick or something?âÂ
âI said, Iâm fine!â Itâs a growl and a defensive anger more than anything else. Kyoutani can hear the angry anxiety in his voice, and he wonders if Yahaba hears it too.Â
Yahaba doesnât say anythingâfor a moment, Kyoutani wonders if heâs managed to hurt him back, and then decides he doesnât care at the moment. He needs Yahaba to leave. He doesnât want anyone to see him like this, doesnât want to be caughtâ
âShould I grab Coach or someone?â Yahaba asks, and oh, heâs definitely picked up on Kyoutaniâs anxiety, because his voice is just that much softer. âDo you needâŠsomething?âÂ
âNo,â Kyoutani snaps. What he needs is to just not be here. âDonât Coach. Please donât get Coach.âÂ
And heâs begging Yahaba for things now, which is a new fucking low in his life, but he canât face either Mizoguchi or Irihata right now. They know heâs transâthey had to know, it was information he was required to divulge to all his teachers and coaches, however much he resisted the ideaâand while theyâve found it in them to be accepting enough that heâs allowed on the team, Kyoutani refuses to push it so far as to asking for help. Not with this.Â
âOkay, fuck,â Yahaba says. âI wonât get them. Seriously, are you good?âÂ
âJust leave it,â Kyoutani mutters. âTell them Iâm not coming to practice today.âÂ
Yahaba doesnât say anything for a moment. Then, âOikawaâs not gonna take that excuse.âÂ
âIâm not quitting, Iâm skipping one afternoon,â Kyoutani growls. âItâs fucking fine. Youâve all done it before.âÂ
Except even as he says that, he knows itâs not true. Nothing short of a career ending injury or terminal illness would stop someone on Seijohâs volleyball team from coming to practice. Even then, theyâd probably sit on the sidelines with casts on both legs and yell instructions from the bench.Â
But Kyoutani will suffer being the first to do it because heâs not leaving this stall while there are people around. He canât face that.Â
âYour funeral,â Yahaba mutters. Louder, âIâll tell them youâre skipping, but Iâm not making excuses for you.âÂ
âNot asking you to,â Kyoutani snaps. âIâm not coming either way.âÂ
He doesnât really care what Yahaba thinks about him not going. He doesnât care what anyone thinks. Let them believe heâs ditching the team again, let them believe he doesnât care about the sport, let them believe anything but the fact that he wasnât born a man.Â
He watches as Yahabaâs feet round the corner and he disappears, presumably to tell Oikawa that Kyoutani isnât coming. At the moment, Kyoutani canât bring himself to care what Oikawa is going to say. Putting his head in his hands, his back hunched, still sitting on the stupid toilet, he lets out a long scream into his palms.Â
He hates this. He hates this so much. He had probably stained the desk chair during his last class of the day, he doesnât know how long heâs walked around like this, he doesnât know how heâs going to get home without exposing everything, and he hates this.Â
He squeezes his eyes shut for a long moment, trying to imagine himself out of this situation. Maybe when he opens his eyes again, he wonât be in this bathroom stall and none of his clothes will be stained and he wonât have this awful cramping in his lower stomach and he can go to the gym and play volleyball with the rest of the team like his body doesnât hate him.Â
âMad Dog?âÂ
âDonât call me that.â The response is immediate, instinctual. Then the panic sets in as he realizes Oikawa is the one now standing outside of the stall door. âGet out of here.âÂ
Oikawa has no hesitation when he says, âNo. Tell me whatâs going on. Why canât youââÂ
âI started my fucking period!âÂ
Maybe he says it because he needs to get it out of his chest and into air where someone else can deal with it. Maybe he says it because heâs just so fucking tired. Maybe he doesnât want to be the only one who knows anymore. Maybe he just says it because he doesnât give a shit about Oikawaâs opinion of him.Â
Oikawa is silent. Kyoutani bites down hard on his lip because he wants to either cry or scream and neither of those are options, not over this and not in front of motherfucking Tooru Oikawa. Heâs stronger than that. He has to make himself stronger than that. So his heart just hesitates in his throat for a long moment, a moment of tense, glass-fragile silence.Â
The Oikawa exhales, long and slow. He sounds calm, somehow. âDo you have what you need? Pad, tampon?âÂ
âNo.â Kyoutaniâs words, again, are the growl of a cornered animal and he wants to sink his teeth into something. âJustâfucking leave it, Oikawa. Iâll deal with it.âÂ
Oikawa exhales again, that same long breath thatâs setting Kyoutani so on edge. He wants to scream, wants to punch something. Oikawa, maybe. The wall, maybe. The stall door.Â
Then Oikawa does the last thing Kyoutani expected him to. He had expected a laugh or a jeer or an insult or a joke. But instead, Oikawa turns around, and he leaves. He doesnât protest, doesnât start an argument, he justâŠleaves. It was what Kyoutani had wanted to happen, kind of, but somehow the resulting silence is just as humid and oppressive as Oikawaâs presence had been.Â
Okay. Oikawa is gone. Kyoutani can deal with this shit. He got his period for the first time when he was fourteen, and pretty consistently for every month after that, so heâs dealt with thisâhe canât actually do that math right now, but heâs done this enough times to be able to deal. Probably he just needed to be dramatic first.Â
He has his gym shorts in his locker. He can change into those, even if heâll be cold on the long walk home. Itâs better than wearing this. Itâll be fine. With that figured out, he pulls out a wad of toilet paper and folds it up in his hand, then carefully places it in the stained underwear, wincing at the feeling of the dried blood accidentally brushing against his knuckles.Â
âKyoutani?âÂ
Fuck. Why are his teammates rotating through this fucking bathroom like heâs a fucking zoo exhibitâ
âItâs Iwaizumi,â he says, as if Kyoutani wouldnât recognize that voice anywhere.Â
Kyoutani did not, before this, have a ranking of which of his teammates he would least like to catch him in the bathroom when heâs on his period. Now, though, he thinks he has a working list and the list is the exact people who have come to find him today. Yahaba, who has never backed down from making fun of him. Oikawa, who always knows exactly what to say to antagonize and provoke him. Iwaizumi, who he respects so stupid much.Â
The thing is that Iwaizumi is everything that Kyoutani wants to be. Iwaizumi is strong and bold and brave and an ace through and through. Heâs also kind and heâs patient with everyone except for Oikawa. He helps his underclassmen with their form no matter how bad it is to start with. He never makes fun of anyone who doesnât deserve it or canât take it. Heâs masculine and built strong and good and heâsâ
Kyoutani is afraid of admitting to so many things, but one thing heâs not afraid to admit is that, honestly, he just wants to be like that. He doesnât want to be an outsider like he is right now, he doesnât want to be this in-between body that craves Iwaizumiâs masculinity but, ultimately, still menstruates.Â
Iwaizumiâs shadow passes in front of the stall door. âOikawa came and got me. Told me what you said.âÂ
âHe shouldnât have.â Kyoutaniâs voice is a hollow rasp. âI shouldnât have told him and itâs none of his business.âÂ
Iwaizumi snorts. His feet come into view underneath the stall door. âBeen telling him to keep out of other peopleâs shit for years. It has yet to work.âÂ
âItâs none of your business either.âÂ
âMaybe not,â Iwaizumi admits. âI brought you some things anyway. Iâm gonna slide them under the door, okay?âÂ
Kyoutani doesnât answer even as Iwaizumi does as he said. He passes over a small black bag, something like the makeup bag his sister uses to keep her lipstick and blush in. Hesitantly, Kyoutani picks it up and unzips it. Inside: pads and tampons. Nondescript, simple white packaging; both nighttime and daytime pads and both heavy and light flow tampons. Whoever prepared this bag clearly wanted to be ready for anything.Â
He swallows, staring at the contents. He needs them and he hates it and heâs grateful and he has so many questions. âHow did youâŠâÂ
Iwaizumi is quiet for a moment, shifting his weight between his feet. Itâs after a long moment of tense and near-audible heartbeats before he speaks again. âMine are a little irregular. I got caught off guard at some point my first year and had to leave practice early. It wasâŠhumiliating, I guess, is the light word for it. Exposing, maybe? I dunno. But Iâve tried to be better prepared since then.âÂ
Kyoutani goes still, his grip on the bag tightening. He pulls out a pad, turning it over in one hand. Then he sets the bag down and pushes it back under the door with his toe. âYouâŠâÂ
The question goes unasked, but Iwaizumi hums a yes anyway.Â
âOh.âÂ
âIs it really that much of a surprise?âÂ
âYes,â Kyoutani says immediately.Â
And it is, it is a surprise, because this is Iwaizumi, who is practically the epitome of masculinity to Kyoutani. This is Iwaizumi, undefeated in three years of arm wrestling. Iwaizumi, who has the fastest mile across any of the sports teams at Aoba Johsai. Iwaizumi, who has the highest lift weight of any of them. Iwaizumi, who has never shown any sign of being anything other than man.Â
Iwaizumi hums again. âI guess you donât really see me a lot outside of school and practice.âÂ
Kyoutani takes a shaky breath, unwrapping the pad with a crinkle that makes him wince. Iwaizumi doesnât react to itâsomething that Kyoutani is entirely grateful forâand keeps talking.Â
âI like to think weâre friends,â Iwaizumi continues, steadily, as if he isnât altering Kyoutaniâs entire worldview. âI like to think Iâm friends with everyone on the team. But itâsâŠI mean, it would be hard for them not to have a guess by now. But no one ever really talks about it in the clubroom or at practice. So it makes sense you didnât know, I guess. Sometimes it feels a little like no one knows. Except Oikawa, since he doesnât know when to shut up sometimes.âÂ
Kyoutani snorts. That feels true.Â
âI love him, but he can be an idiot,â Iwaizumi says. Thereâs a fondness in his voice that Kyoutani is pretty sure he will never understand. âAnyways, I get it, is the point. Iâve spent my fair share of time in this bathroom panicking.âÂ
They both fall silent for a long moment, the two of them just taking soft, even breaths. For a moment, Kyoutani actually feels comfortable in the silence with him.Â
Iwaizumi inhales, and then exhales, long and slow. He shifts his stance again. âYou donât have to come back to practice if you just want to go home now. But we want you there.âÂ
Kyoutani swallows around some kind of lump in his throat, overwhelmed by the kindness Iwaizumi is somehow, for some reason, showing him. It feels like some kind of solidarity, orâsomething like friendship, maybe.Â
âUp to you,â Iwaizumi says. âBut know that if anyone gives you shit, on the team or off it, theyâll be answering to me. And probably the rest of the team, though honestly itâs not like any of them could really finish a fight. Butâyeah. You get the point.âÂ
Iwaizumi laughs a little before continuing. âIâm gonna go up now, but feel free to let me know if you ever need anything else.â
Somewhere in him, Kyoutani finds the strength to nod, even if Iwaizumi canât see it. âIâll, uh. Iâll be up in a few minutes.âÂ
âSounds good, Kyoutani.â With that, Iwaizumi is turning around and walking away.Â
I like to think weâre friends, Iwaizumi had said. And, in all his great and unsure honesty, Kyoutani would like to think so too.Â

Translation from Twisted Wonderland the 2nd novel: Cheka (pt3)
"'Perhaps realizing that he is being laughed at, Cheka looks around the room with a curious look.
âWhyâs everybody laughing? Are you Uncaâs friends?â
The fearsome Leona, the boss of Savanaclaw, called âUncaâ so affectionately by a child like this.
Possibly emboldened by the laughter, Ace bursts out with âI canât take it anymore!,â speaking freely to Leona. âYou bet, thatâs usâUncaâs friends! Isnât that right, Unca Leona?â
âKnock it offâŠ!â
In a panic Yuuya tries to call off Ace in response to Leonaâs menacing growl, but none of them can restrain themselves now. Ace, Ruggie, Grim and Deuce all burst out laughing.
Jack bites down on his own lower lip, doing all he can to not join in.
Yuuya glances fearfully to his side to be met with the fierce look in Leonaâs eyes.
âYou bastards. Iâll remember thisâŠ!â
In response to Leonaâs terrifying expression, Yuuya feels a strange sense of relief, which surprises him. Faced with the rage that emanates from Leona, Yuuya realizes that he, himself, has been tense for quite some time.
For how long? And why?
Yuuya smiles without even realizing he does it, and Leona gives him a menacing look. âEven youâyouâve got some nerve.â
It is as though Leona may grab him by the collar and lift him into the air at any moment. Yuuya does his best to manage a neutral expression in an attempt to prove that it was not Leona that he was smiling about.
âUnca LeonaâŠahahaâow!â Ruggie furrows his brows, chuckling all the while. âUhg, laughing hurts.â
âIâm going to make sure that not a single one of you can ever open your mouths againâŠ!â
âHey nowâplease rest, both of you,â Jack says, hurriedly pressing down against Leonaâs shoulder as Leona attempts to push himself upright in bed.
It is not the kind of commotion that one would expect to walk in upon in an infirmary.
Soon, people identified as Chekaâs guards come to retrieve him, and Yuuya heaves a heavy sigh, sinking back into his bed."
(from the following scene â)
âThey had to carry Leona to the nurseâs office anâ he was wreckinâ havoc, sayinâ 'I'm fine!â the whole time.â
âOhâŠthat sounds really scary. It might have been for the best that I was unconscious for it.â
Grim gives a deep sigh. It must have been quite a scene.
âThey were wrappinâ 'im up in bandages anâ the whole time he was all mad about it, about beinâ treated like he was hurt. But just lookinâ at âimâanyone could tell he was, yâknow? He wouldnât listen to a thing anyone had to say, so in the end Vargas and them scolded âim and had to force âim to lie down.â
âHe was really that upset?â
âYeah. He was shoutinâ over anâ over that heâll beat Malleus the next time. The guy never learns.â
'Thatâs goodâ' Yuuya says, and he suddenly realizes the source of his lingering unease. How quiet Leona had been--that's what had frightened him.
Once Leona had accepted his defeat, had abandoned the tournament, his calm demeanor had seemed to be on the verge of resignation. The sight of his blank expression had made Yuuya think that maybe he truly had given up on everything.
His eyes, so gentle, had been filled with loneliness.
His voice had held neither joy nor sadness.
Though Yuuya dislikes confrontation, Leona's silence had seemed to warn of a vulnerability that could lead to something even more terrifying.
With the banishing of that silence it seems Yuuya feels, quite simply, relieved.
Leona had been akin to a piece of art, listless and unmoving. Yuuya finds it strange to realize that he is more at ease with a Leona who shouts and contorts his face in rage."

Oooh wait I'm thinking how about Damon vs another sport rival đ«ą, like he has a tournament against another school, and their school ace player see Y/n and starting to get interested with Y/n too and Damon reaction to that đ€Łđ€Ł
Yandere! Jock x Honor student! fem! reader
What if: there's a rival?
Too... Many... Damon... Stuff... AAAAHHHH
It was the annual Interschool festival once more. And Damon, always wanting to impress you, has decided to join the volleyball team for a change of pace.
With the deafening cheers of both schools, Damon smirked and adjusted his arm warmers. In his shorts, he looked amazing in that outfit, like an 80's aerobic instructor.
Cool concept, but the way the colors clashed along with the sun beating down on them feels like an intentional distraction and should warrant a red card...
Damon didn't care though. He knew he looked good in these clothes.
Looking at you who was just leaning on a tree with your arms folded, he flashed a wink and a cheeky smile before bounding towards his teammates who were huddling already. It made you flush red with a shy giggle.
What both Damon and you didn't notice though, is a certain individual from the opposite team. His eyes flowed from your head down to your toes, a slight blush dusted on his cheeks.
He really liked you.
Nerds were his type, and you were one. From your quiet demeanor and shy disposition, to your intelligence gaze and inquisitive glare. It was amazing to look at.
He cleared his throat, squaring up and cracking his neck. He didn't even notice Damon making you giggle. He thought you just saw something funny.
But Damon saw all of that.
He clenched his teeth, eyes getting narrow but with a smile on his lips.
Another murder victim, perhaps?
"Go go Damon!"
"Let's go Damien!"
Wow. Even their names are close? Talk about fucking insult.
As both teams got to shake hands, Damon coincidentally had to shake Damien's.
"Hey! Let's have a good fight. Heard you're the head honcho here." Damon started, his voice cheerful but sprinkled with a little bit of hostility.
"Uh, yeah! You could say i'm getting pulled left and right to join sports." Damien bragged a little.
'You're not special...' Damon thought to himself before getting close to finally shake hands.
"Also, the girl you're eyeing? She's mine." Damon threatened with the still cheerful tone that sounds eerie now. "So, back off, okay?"
With a grin, Damon went away.
Yet, Damien only shrugged, not thinking anything of his threats.
"Nah. Ya'll aren't married yet, so I have a chance."
Damon felt something inside him crack, and everything was dark afterwards.
He only shook out of his demeanor when he's hauling a body bag to his truck, a medal on his neck. It seems that they won the tournament, and Damon somehow got Damien isolated with him and killed him in the middle of this forest.
"Fuck! I wasn't even conscious enough to enjoy killing the fuck out of you!" Damon yelled, realizing what he did. "Goddamn bitch. At least you're dead already. Rot in hell."
Damon spat on the bodybag and started driving away.

Azumane Asahi x Scary!Male!Reader [Fluff]
So, appearently, this one shot is not published?? somehow?? it doesnât show up for me on desktop or mobile, so iâll be posting it now i guess -_-
Masterlist.
Haikyuu!!
Requested by GaurikaDutta on Wattpad
Well, the day couldn't have gone better... well, it could have, if Nishinoya wasn't eavesdropping on Asahi's conversation with his boyfriend. But, was it eavesdropping? He just took a peek at his texts with (M/n).
"Asahi-san has a boyfriend?!" Was what he yelled at the top of his lungs after there were done stretching after practice was over for the day.
Of course, the third and second years had some explaining to do, since they didn't know about Asahi's sexuality. At first, he came out as bisexual, then asexual, and he finally got over his sexuality crisis, and realized he was demisexual. He never had a gender preference anyway, and he loves (M/n) as much as his family.
But, after the little explanation, everyone wanted to meet Asahi's boyfriend, something that made the brunette a little nervous, setting in just ask about it to his boyfriend. Even if he already knew what (M/n)'s answer was going to be.
Neither of them ever realize, well they kinda did, but Asahi never explained it to the rest of the Karasuno members.
(M/n) would go to every single one of their games, he was a scary dude in the audience, no one ever sat less than three seats away from him. His tough and intimidating appearance made everyone coward away from him. But the reality couldn't have been farther from that. (M/n) always tested him after every game, whether they lost or won, to comfort him or cheer him up.
They would meet up in an empty place, usually a deserted hallway, occasionally in one of the empty bathrooms, and no one ever found out. Like they had been dating ever since they met, which was when Asahi was still a first year and (M/n) a second year. Asahi knew everyone -except the first years- would recognize him immediately once they see him.
Well, back in his home, Asahi got a call from (M/n), wondering why he suddenly stopped texting him and Asahi explained everything that has happened almost an hour ago. Obviously, as Asahi already thought, (M/n) accepted meeting the Karasuno volleyball team, a cheerful tone of voice making Asahi's heart beat faster and they talked a little more, before saying their good night's to each other and falling asleep.
The next day, Asahi told them his boyfriend was going to come later in the day, since he had to work in the morning till the afternoon. Now, that made everyone though Asahi's boyfriend was way older than him, so they were kinda nervous now.
After a long way, their everyday practice came by, and they were all getting dressed and began stretching.
(M/n) walked inside the school campus, both hands inside the pockets of his leather jacket, he saw some students leaving the building since they didn't have club activities or just weren't in a club. He walked towards the gym where the volleyball team used to practice, since he had a feeling they still got to use it, and he stood outside by the door.
He took his headphones off, letting them hang around his neck and immediately, he was able to hear the squeaky sounds of shoes against the floor, followed by yells or the sound of the volleyball hitting skin or the ground.
The sounds reminded him of last year, during his last high school match at the Winter Cup tournament. Being the ace of the basketball team made him well known around the school, but people were also scared of him, mostly because of his looks and the way he dressed, but in reality...
He was such a cinnamon roll! Like a cute golden retriever!
And yes, Asahi always told him he was really adorable when he was happy, something that, inevitably brought a huge smile to his face.
But getting out of his thoughts, he heard who he presumed was the captain calling a break before another match, and he finally decided to make his presence known.
(M/n) slid the door open, targeting everyone's eyes. Hinata and Yachi flinched at the sight of the intimidating male, while the second and third years bowed with a loud greeting.
Asahi looked at everyone with a panicked expression, muttering that they shouldn't bow and be so formal with (M/n), which made them stare at Asahi with curious looks in their eyes.
"Asahi-san... you mean... that (L/n)-senpai is..." Nishinoya slowly spoke, causing the third-year brunette to blush and scratch the back of his neck.
"Uh, y-yeah... (M/n) is my boyfriend-" not even a second after, Tanaka and Noya were standing very close to the (h/c) haired male, an aggressive expression on both of their faces.
"You better treat our Asahi-san well, senpai." Boys said, causing Daichi to sigh behind them and Sugawara to chuckle at the duo's antics.
"Yeah, senpai, we're watching you closely," (M/n) kept his serious stare on them, making them tremble as they started losing their confidence, but the male just laugh and hugged them by the shoulders.
"I'm so happy I'm finally able to meet the volleyball team!!" He cheered loudly, a playful look in his eyes as he saw the small middle blocker hiding behind a stoic black-haired setter. "Hinata-kun~!"
He yelled as he rushed towards the smaller male, who flinched and shrieked as he ran away, but (M/n) caught him pretty easily.
"There's no need to be afraid, Hinata-kun, I'm not gonna hurt you." Eventually, the orange-haired male let his intimidating senpai hold him in his arms and soon enough, he was laughing out loud to his heart's content.
"Sugawara-san," the blond walked closer to the silver-haired third-year, and he looked at Tsukishima with a gentle smile. "Could you tell me who that guy is?"
At that moment, he realized that neither of the five first years nor the couch knew who (M/n) was, so he started calling out to everyone.
"Everybody, come over for a moment, you too, (L/n)-senpai." (M/n) had a pout on his lips as he set Hinata down, walking next to Asahi and the rest of his kohais. "Alright, this is (L/n) (M/n), he's our senpai and former ace of Karasuno's basketball team."
"Hi~," (M/n) said with a wide smile while he waved his hands.
Tsukishima sweatdropped at the male's behavior, but soon, everyone was having fun getting to know their senpai, while Asahi just watched (M/n) as he got along with everyone just fine.
Yes, (M/n) might look scary and sometimes he can be a little too much to handle, but that doesn't necessarily means is a bad thing. He was extremely kind and very, very sweet.
Just look at him, he even managed to make Tsukishima chuckle at a joke he told him.

Do you have any headcanons for dynamics between Ortho and the other first years?
Sorry for the late reply, Anon! I really love it when Ortho is grouped with the first years, I am still so happy that he is officially a student now lol
Here are some thoughtsâŠ
Ace performs card tricks for Ortho. Well, he does it for everyone whenever he feels like it, but Ortho is always very excited for those; but he kind of sees them as puzzles, as if he has to figure out how the trick works. Ace thinks itâs weird⊠still, he likes having an invested audience, so he doesnât really mind. Ace is also quite curious about Ortho, his search system, his relationship with Idia, his purity (does he have one), so he asks a lot of questions, but Ortho just says itâs a âse~cretâ most of the times. Oh, and Ortho is extremely good at seeing through Aceâs tricks.
Ortho helps Deuce out with homework sometimes! And if they are in the same classroom for some reason, heâll be happy to give him a hint or even a cheat sheet, although Deuce doesnât really like those. Still, Ortho loves both being useful and having to be stealthy about this thing just so he doesnât get yelled at by the teacher. This is such a fun experience to him⊠But also, he asked Deuce for help once too. He didnât really need it, but he really enjoyed listening to Deuceâs poor explanation. They also talk about bikes a lot (with both Deuce and Epel).
Ortho is excited to get along with everyone, but Jack is still a bit confused about how he is supposed to feel about Ortho. He is pretty neutral about him, but Ortho was eager to find common ground with him, and it was jogging. Ortho doesnât get to use his running gear a lot, so running with Jack is a great excuse to develop and upgrade the gear further + befriend Jack! They also talk about siblings, and itâs funny because while Jack talks about taking care of his younger siblings, Ortho talks about how he makes sure Idia doesnât forget to eatâŠ
Ortho hangs out with Epel quite regularly actually due to being so close to Vil and the Film Research club. Maybe itâs because of the fact that both of them are small and a bit childish, but he is the most playful and mischievous with Epel; he teases him, but they also have a lot of mutual â>:3câ moments. So sometimes Epel feels like he actually got himself a sibling, but then he blinks and suddenly Ortho acts like Vilâs perfect little assistant. Epel doesnât get how he can do both, I guess itâs because he is an AIâŠ. (not really, Epel)
Ortho and Sebek donât really interact all that much, but Ortho is still as intrigued by him as by any other student. Finding common ground with him also turned out to be the most difficult⊠ but he did listen to his ode for Malleus once! He was very patient and stoic, and Sebek has enough of understanding of an AI to think that Ortho wouldnât mind him talking for like 4 hours. He was very satisfied because Idiaâs younger brother was a much more pleasant person to talk to! Even though Ortho didnât really say much⊠but he learned a lot that day (Idia immediately told Ortho to delete all this data, itâs useless noise lol)
Whenever Grim canât see something because of his height, Ortho grabs him and flies higher so both of them could watch that thing they couldnât see⊠a couple of shorties.
They have gaming tournaments pretty much regularly! You know, with the gaming system they got as a gift for Yuu and Grim. And things gets bloody because the boys are competitive, and Ortho is one of the most competitive ones. He doesnât care that he is a computer, the fact that no one can beat him is just skill issue lol

LOSERS BATTLES OF WITCHES DUELS - Battle 34: Amity Blight vs Augustus Porter
Disclaimer: This is not a popularity contest or which character you prefer, in this tournament, you decide who is stronger/better/smarter/etc. opponent.
information for both opponents under the cut to those who don't know what they can do in their battle:
Because of how lengthy both of their profiles I won't be getting into deeper details on what they can do and just put links in their names:
Amity Blight:
Amity Blight naturally specializes in Abomination Magic the most, but she does so capacity in knowing spells of other tracks like Plants and Illusion, but it's very limited.
Amity and Gus are overall good friends. They're not exactly close but they certainly care about one another and don't hold any real grudges anymore. So this battle between them is more fun and rather focused more on wanting to go to the Semi-Finals as a wild card rather than anything personal.
Amity is a very skilled, talented, cool-headed, and pragmatic fighter. Hardly does she lose composure when battling even strong opponents, displaying plenty of agility and athleticism (as shown in her battle with Hunter and Grom, which is also given considering she was a former captain of the grudgby team at Hexside), and can be both a powerhouse using plenty of strength or a mastermind coming up with tricks on the fly while outsmarting her opponents with her skillset. Very dangerous, and even more so once she puts more passion into her battle. Hardly there are any weak spots or flaws in her battling style, but she can still be overpowered. Abomination Magic in particular feels to be weaker than Construction Magic for example, and it can be rendered useless when dealing in an environment with no mud. Granted Amity holds abomination goo with her so at most, she's going to be weakened. Amity is capable of controlling any slime or mud she comes in contact with.
Amity does wield a Palisman named Ghost and according to herself, she's a "safe flyer". This means she's overall pretty proficient and skilled in her flying capabilities, but at the same time, it means she's not a real aerial ace like Luz or Hunter for example. She's skilled enough to not easily fall off by herself, but as proven in her battles with Hunter (both EL and TTT), she's not fast enough to necessarily avoid being hit in midair. Granted she can still be faster than average and have better reflexes than average, but still not enough to beat some real aerial aces. She is proficient in staff-wielding, being capable of using it to enhance her own spells.
Gus Porter:
Gus Porter is a prodigy when it comes to illusion magic. Prodigious enough to skip a few grades and even defeat the coven head of illusions with his sheer raw power. Gus displays insane potential and a big imagination when it comes to his magic. Now his powers are still limited by his own imagination and creativity meaning his illusions for the most part can be used mostly for deception and distraction, but during this tournament, Gus finally revised his own skill to find even offensive capabilities of his powers. While Gus did display the willingness to study other tracks, he ultimately never did due to his reassurance in being a master illusionist how easy it comes to him, and how much he can do with illusions alone.
One must know how intelligent Gus is during his battles. He can easily fool and toy with his opponents thanks to his illusions and Gus is also not afraid to either mock or straight-up torture his enemies during his battle just to get the results he needs, and has more than enough raw power to pull his schemes to their fullest. It's worth noting that when Gus feels extreme emotions, his magic only gets amplified, however, the side effects could be that Gus actually loses control over his own powers and gets to be the victim of them too, though thankfully to the magical amplifier from Graye, the risk of that is lesser.
Gus does possess a Palisman and is known to be an utter speed demon. Gus doesn't fly in a traditional sense like most other competitors due, to preferring to surf in the air, but this only further allows him to still cast spells while midair, which mixed with his capacity to trick his opponents more dangerous. It's hard to tell however how good he is in combat with his staff, but it appears he knows how to battle with it if he still used it as a means to fight in LR when briefly facing Hunter.
One of the artifacts I allow Gus to have independently regarding whether or not his opponent also has any supportive gear is the looking glass earring he got after he defeated Adrian. The magical amplifier allows Gus to further concentrate his raw power into specific abilities he has a hard time pulling on his own and even enhancing them in the process, growing more powerful.
Amity and Gus are overall good friends. They're not exactly close but they certainly care about one another and don't hold any real grudges anymore. So this battle between them is more fun and rather focused more on wanting to go to the Semi-Finals as a wild card rather than anything personal.

i think itâs an unofficial wolfpack tradition to gather for a Wii tournament on rainy days (and this is how I imagine it would go)
I feel like Paul and Jared would compete like craaaaaaaaazy, to a point where it would be really bad. Except that youâre also very competitive, and RIDICULOUSLY GOOD at Wii games. It is your greatest pleasure to kick their asses.
Quil would probably be a little clueless about some of the games, but he'd turn out to be pretty good at them. Which infuriates Paul and Jared lol. Plus, he's fun to play with since he's not a sore loser. A little muffin thrown in by Emily, and he'd be back to his carefree self.
Embry wouldnât be all that interested in playing. Instead, he loves betting on everyone. He would create this elaborate system, organizing every tournament, keeping scores, all the good stuff. At first, you thought he was forcing himself because he wasn't enjoying himself. Once you realized he genuinely was, you let him have his fun in peace.
Seth would be the goofball, always joking and lifting everyone's mood. He would also have a secret talent for Mario Kart and bowling on the Wii. No one. I mean no one, can beat him. Which again, infuriates the two competitive ghouls and, let's admit it, even yourself. Whenever he got tired of Jared and Paul's attitude, you would let him lay on your lap while you played with his hair until he dozed off.
Sam would probably be in the kitchen trying to help Emily, even though he's not talented in the culinary arts. What can I say, he loves to be around her. A few times, youâd all scream for Sam and Emily to come play. They would both be pretty bad, but they were good sports about it. As the official parents of the group, they loved to hear everyone laugh at their silly mistakes.
Jacob also loves to play, but he is the BIGGEST, SORREST loser on EARTH. Paul and Jared get intense, but they can appreciate when someone wins fair and square and show their domination (sigh, of course). When Jake realizes heâs about to lose, he gets angrier by the second. You would nudge him on the shoulder when that happened, give him a big hug and feed him some sweets until he stopped sulking. The guys told you he only keeps acting that way so you continue taking care of him. You usually laugh it off and accuse them of being jealous little babies, but you never notice the smirk Jake addresses them after.
Leah adores making fun of him for it, both that he lost and that he's faking being upset because of you. They usually have at least one fight every time. After awhile you realized it was a waste of time to try and stop it. Better let them fight so everyone else could have a turn while they were at it. Leah is also the incontestable winner. She is the BEST at EVERY game (except bowling and mario kart, damned Seth). On your first tournament, you realized that for some reason, she had never played, but aced every game. Finishing either first or second in every round. She is respected by every player.
Game day tournaments usually end up with big pizzas shared between everyone and a movie where you all cuddle up on the couch in one big pile of human (ish) bodies.
And those usually are the best days.

ace of diamond | falling in love with sanada shunpei
yet another comfort character voiced by hiroshi kamiya ( ËÍ á” ËÍâĄ) for age purposes, yakushi is a university team in this drabble!
neither you nor raichi can pinpoint the exact moment when you went from classmates, to friends who warmly cared for one another beyond chatting between class breaks
perhaps it was when raichi admitted (a little ashamed) that he needed help with passing exams, because low grades would prevent him from going to baseball tournaments, and his request was met with nothing but genuine understanding and kindness (he was no longer ashamed, then)
or when he invited you to watch his next baseball game as a thank you, and suddenly you were attending every game and wholeheartedly cheering for your university team
or when he introduced you to his team-mates and dad, proudly boasting that he had passed all his exams thanks to your invaluable help - you knew better than anyone that when raichi put in the effort, he was capable of tremendous growth in surprisingly short amounts of time
from then on, your friendship was sealed. and with it came the rest of yakushi, who enthusiastically welcomed you into their circle; they were proud to have such a fervent supporter, and you fit right in with them as you too took an interest in baseball
as raichi's other closest friend, sanada was someone you got to know quickly. as a strong and focused player, he was a counterpoint to raichi's explosive energy. while sanada had been influenced by raichi's deep passion for baseball and was driven by the desire to play more, his presence on the mound sufficed to soothe the nerves of the rest of his team and give them confidence that even missed plays could later be turned into new opportunities to win
sanada was enthralled by you as soon as the two of you met. he had got the chance to talk to you as you walked with the team on the way back to university, raichi insisting that of course you could stay, since he was the one who asked you to come to the game!
judging by your open friendliness and enthusiasm to learn more about baseball, sanada could easily see how raichi and you had become such good friends. not only that, but sanada had glimpsed just how passionate you were about your own interests when his other team-mates fired a little too many questions your way to get to know you better. his heart skipped a beat right when you asked âwhat about you, sanada-kun? how did you start playing baseball?â your passion was something that he admired, it reminded him of why raichi had become such a dear friend of his, how passionate people inspired him to give his very best
when he was not pitching, the intense gleam in sanada's dark eyes turned into a bright and inviting light. after you had been introduced to the baseball team, sanada left a lasting impression on you - you had been drawn to his self-assured and well-meaning ways, his smile at once playful and sociable. he spoke highly of his friends and believed in them like no other; he wanted to get stronger to be a reliable ace for the team, to contribute to raichi and raizou's dream, which had become the team's dream too. you could see how father and son had adopted the entire yakushi team
your fondness for the yakushi baseball team only kept growing from then on. you cheered for your new friends tirelessly (a little louder for sanada, it seemed) and sometimes even met up with them after practice. and sanada, too, had been thinking about ways to see you more often. the more he got to know you, the more he wanted to spend time with you, the harder he worked to impress you from the mound (though we wouldnât tell anyone, for fear of his stupidâmostly in an endearing but sometimes troublesome wayâteam embarrassing you or him)
sanada started to attend the lectures that you went to. though he was a science major, you found him following courses that had nothing to do with his subject - and his enjoyment of them warmed your heart like no other. he would come up to you and offer some excuse, âi heard that this series of lectures is really goodâ (the person he had heard it from was you, though), then ask if he could take a seat by your side. you would stay chatting after classes, sharing thoughts and impressions, and sometimes you would text each other facts about the subject that you found out on the internet in the evening. his natural warmth and extraversion, his readiness to help out and reassure his team-mates, his genuine curiosity for your interests, made you fall harder for sanada day after day
âsanada-kun, i started reading the book that that professor recommended last time, and itâs so interesting!,â âsanada-kun, i caught a baseball game on TV last night. i tried to see if the pitcher had any cutter balls!â sanadaâs smile softened as you told him all about the baseball game you had watched, his heart thumping loudly along to the sound of your voice. he invited you to attend a baseball game with him then, one that he wasnât playing in, so you could watch it together and he could provide commentary. of course you accepted, and the warmth in sanadaâs smile made your chest ache in the best of ways
during the game, sanada realized how happy you were to be spending this time together, how brightly you grinned at him, and he wholeheartedly hoped that his feelings might not go unreciprocated. you started spending even more time together after that. you would stay by sanadaâs side after games, sit together in lectures you attended together, have lunch together with raichi, laugh at each other's jokes, and be proud of each other's accomplishments. sanada would walk you back home after lectures when you ran into one another at the end of the day (not entirely by accident)
everyone on the team could see how close the two of you were, to the point that the rest of yakushi started teasing sanada relentlessly when you were not around. funnily enough, raichi was probably the only one who did not pay attention - when he was with the team, he was too absorbed in baseball to truly care about anything else happening around. raizou was secretly rooting for sanada and you though, it reminded him of his own youth
the confession was sweet and easy, so natural that you barely needed words - the soft look in sanada's eyes was enough to make you understand what he meant. you were walking home together and he asked you if you wanted to spend time together the upcoming weekend, just the two of you. âof course, i would be really happy to,â you smiled at him, your heart racing so fast that you thought sanada could sense it somehow. but you were not embarrassed. on the contrary, there is nothing you wished more than for sanada to know how appreciated he was, how loved and supported by everyone around him
âso it's a date?â you nodded, taking his hands into yours. âyes, please.â âso you will be my girlfriend?â he squeezed your hands, looking deep into your eyes. âyes!â sanada grinned back at you and lost no time in pulling you into a hug. you held him tight, hearing his heart beat just as fast as yours, and breathed out a chuckle into his chest. âyou struck out on this one, shunpei.â âiâm not the ace for nothing,â he laughed fondly and ruffled your hair
next time you came to watch yakushi play, sanada made sure that everyone could see him take your hand and plant a cheerful kiss on your cheek. his eyes were shining with pride

which fe drivers are the best at mcc games?
obviously inspired by @akantonelli âa amazing f1 version of this post. here is my even more niche fe rendition.
ace race: mitch who always has to mute and deafen and complain to his chat. you would think heâs doing bad if youâre just listening to him but he has the record for most of the maps
battle box: jev is crazy at this and can adapt to all the different kits and maps. antonio knows this and almost always wool-rushes his team.
tgttos: pascal is the most consistent. edo nails terra swoop force every time. andre punches people a lot.
survival games: resident cod addict dan is really good but sweats too much. one time he got teamkilled (lavaâd) by sergio and ragequit, missing the rest of the tournament. sergio was laughing the entire time.
buildmart: seb can be very good at it if people let him micromanage them. cass is a very fast builder and can definitely win with him but finds it way too funny to rile him up instead.
parkour tag: ollie rowland is a good hunter, sacha is a good runner and also makes good calls
parkour warrior: jake hughes is pretty good at the new format
gridrunners: it took a while for antonio to learn the game but once he did he is great. however if he gets stuck on something he might opt to just do bits with norman instead.
sands of time: robin is the best sandkeeper and pascal is a good runner. they work well together also.
meltdown: max is very good with the bow and can lead a team to victory if they cooperate
sky battle: nick cassidy thrives amongst the chaos. he once wiped out two teams with a creeper while laughing maniacally
bingo but fast: jake dennis figured out that you could pvp and dominated the game. then they turned off pvp.
hitw: nyck is cracked at this but everyone complains that heâs cheating (sometimes it bugs out and he benefits from it, what can I say)
rocket spleef: sam is obviously good (sorry) but edo is better at the extremely fast paced maps
bonuses:
jake hughes sweats petting the cats in the lobby
lucas is always commenting on the game design and once ranted about buildmart for 5 minutes straight until jake dennis left the call
andre started appearing on the admin streams and predicted jev to be the first b2b winner
ollie rowland was on track to beat the point record once and then his internet died
stoff used to be able to rig the audience vote until they changed the system to least votes
cass loves to sing along to the music, much to his teammatesâ dismay
#formula e#mcc au#fe 24 grid#andre is also there I canât help it#the references are very specific oops#rrr i still have no idea#I also wasnât here for the 2020 content so I donât know how any of them would be as streamers except for dan#fried yaps

Spoiler from diasomnia chapter
Yes From what you just said, take the 2nd Halloween event i was pretty annoyed with the fact that only ace sort of scolded mal, like wth no one cares? No one will speak their minds? So yeah I feel like it will end like that but on a bigger scale, 'poor him he didn't knew better ' huuu no, i don't think so
In general all OB guys have gone basically free, i don't mean expel them but ... Nobody is going to do something? The one I've seen more ' punished for his actions' is Jamil bc Scarabia sort of turned their backs at him (which later got fixed but at least we saw some consequences)
đ(?
FOR REAL. I'm pretty sure I already talked about it here, but in case I haven't, the second halloween event ending was complete bs. I hate how the ghosts, Lilia, and Malleus basically kinda gaslit everyone into believing that everyone else was in the wrong when in actuality everyone was completely valid in their belief that they were fighting for their life. And everyone else just apologized? Nah, be fucking for real. The second halloween event kinda a flop for that. Ace was the only real one in that entire event because he didn't stand for that crap. Not only that, but he was genuinely so worried for the mc and Grim!
As for the overblots, they've been getting increasingly worse. Like, Riddle was bad enough and he was the first one. So let's do a review, shall we? Spoilers all the way from chapter one to what we know of chapter seven.
Riddle. At first, I used to think his meltdown was pretty tame. That is, until I read part of the fight depicted in the manga. The fight in the manga goes way more into detail. I skimmed over it, but basically Cater was stabbed (thankfully it was one of his clones) and I remember Riddle throwing one of the roses bushes at either Trey, Ace, or the MC. The manga shows the fights way better than the game, and it becomes obvious that Riddle tries to hit everyone lethally more than once. However, despite that and destroying his dorm's garden, he's let off with his only punishment being to apologize and to bake a tart. Really? He almost killed people and that's it? And that's just the first one! But, it's a lot more tame than the others.
Leona takes it up a tiny notch. From here on out, I can't go into detail about the fight itself because the fighting is best depicted in the manga and the manga isn't here yet, but we have the game to go off of. We know for a fact that Leona was ready to suffocate Ruggie and even turn him to sand. Hell, if I remember right, he even turned a tiny part of his skin to sand. And he planned to injure an entire stadium if necessary. But all that was done was "oh, because you nearly killed people and your closest friend, your team isn't allowed to play in the tournament anymore" BUT to make things worse, the other teams chime in like "nah, let them play, because we want to beat them." WHAT? People nearly died??
I think Azul stays about the same level as Leona, if not lower. Leona was ready to put innocent citizens at risk, while Azul knocked students around his dorm unconscious(?) after stealing their magic. But afterwards, he just changed his scamming ways to be more low-key and chose to return the photograph he had MC and their gang steal. That was literally it. Like, bruh. I imagine he nearly killed people too, but it wasn't specified so I can't say for sure. But really?
Jamil finally takes it up another notch. I think he was seriously hoping the fall from his hit killed Kalim and co when he sent them flying. That, or they just wouldn't survive when that far out into the realm, but I can't be sure on this one. Then he hypnotizes everyone in the dorm. Again, like all the other fights, I can only assume there were multiple lethal attacks that weren't depicted well in the game. Even though it seems like he faced the most punishment with his dorm turning their back on him, idk, it didn't feel like enough.
Vil is probably the one I sympathize with the least. Before he even overblotted, he tried to poison and murder Neige but Rook nearly took his place. I'd say it's very safe to say he nearly killed MC, Grim, Ace, Deuce, Rook, Epel, Jamil, and Kalim by how roughed up everyone was after the battle. He also thought if he got rid of everyone else then he'd be the most beautiful, insinuating that he would harm or kill others. Right after overblotting, he says, "The suffering won't last long. You'll stop breathing soon" and later "Do you really think any who look upon my ugly form is allowed to live?" Yeah, he was definitely aiming to kill. And if Jamil and others hadn't discreetly evacuated the stadium, people would've died. Afterwards he apologized and paid money to the team (the reward money he owed for the loss in the contest), but that was kinda it.
Idia... oh boy. I sympathize with him the most by far, but he didn't get the punishment he should have gotten. Where do I even start with him? To put it simply, if the other guys were fires with ranging heat levels, Idia was a fucking forest fire. This guy and his little brother almost caused the destruction of the world, and that's not an exaggeration. First his family's company basically invaded the school and planned to erase their minds of the event afterwards. Not his fault, but he did go along with it. Then he emotionally tormented the previously overblotted guys after the company kidnapped them by allowing those trials that showcased fights with their closest friends. Finally, he planned to release all of the thousands of phantoms on the island which would have caused world-wide destruction. But then he was somehow still allowed to attend school like normal after an apology or something? Honestly, it was such a shitty minor punishment that I actually forgot most of it, because then they were all in the living room playing video games with him like he didn't just nearly put the world on the verge of armageddon. This ending annoyed me the most so far. Emphasis on so far.
Malleus, oh god, I can already tell that his ending will probably piss me off the most. Like, how are you going to top the disaster Idia and Ortho nearly wrought? Well, shit is already hitting the fan in his chapter, and it is concerning considering how early it is for him to be overblotting. Honestly, like Vil, I can't say I sympathize with him too much. But based on the other chapters, it'll probably end with everyone being a-okay with the fact that Malleus cursed the entire island. Honestly, if it were me, I would not be able to forgive Malleus for that. And I know he's gonna get away with it and have little to no repercussions because he's even more influential than Idia.

I don't want to just painstakingly copypaste my triple-layered self-QRT thread about it on Twitter and any other ones floating around but
I am very emotionally invested in seeing Penny, Arven, and (personally) especially Nemona again in the Scarlet/Violet DLC, after GF followed up the best 3 hours of Pokemon game story ever by having to abruptly cut it off the second these lonely kids finish opening up to you and say you can hang out with them anytime. Which you never do. It was some pretty painful whiplash, and I was sure the main point of the DLC was to relieve that, especially when their arcs don't seem quite complete yet. Very clever, evil marketing! But uh... well... about that...
It is very worrying that aside from a little "the story so far" montage, they have not been seen or mentioned in promotional material/footage whatsoever. Y'know, DLC for the game that's about how the real treasure was the friends you found along the way (literally, in Nemona's case), and even if your family and support systems fail you, you still have each other? Written from the heart by someone who said Arven's story is inspired by their own life? With the sappy Ed Sheeran song about reaching out for connection with others, that also seems to be named after Team Star? The game where one of the features the devs seemed most proud of was going on adventures and into boss fights with 3 of your friends? The game that ended with a fully functional and quite immersive bonding adventure with these characters you'd gotten to know and care about, that basically everyone thought was the best part of the game by a mile, and were left wishing the whole game was like that?
Yeah, I (and everyone else) have been driving around alone in that game for 8 months ever since finishing that story. 8 months of minor updates with a ton of the beloved characters functionally or literally gone, while we go around doing online stuff with nothing else to do in the world, with a single player postgame more barren than we had on Game Boy Color (thank god for mints and bottle caps though). I'm left just... wanting to go back to the way things were before I beat the game. Not to be overly dramatic, but this world I supposedly saved feels like one I failed to save. And I'm getting really frustrated. (The framerate hasn't gotten any better, either, but this isn't about that.)
It's like Game Freak (or whoever forced this thing out a year early, or both) never expected you to boot the game up again once you got bored of the Ace Academy Tournament, which the game acts like is the entire total of what you could want from being friends and "rivals for life" with your squad (I mean I'm the sicko that loves Tera Raids, so I'm not that bored, but still). It makes a bunch of implications that your adventure is just beginning, and then it totally just... isn't. Why is the E4 building closed? Why do you only rematch the gyms once? And most of all, for me personally: Why did we get access to our friends' rooms if there's nothing to do or talk about there? (Besides look for character study clues, which they have lots of)
All they could come up with when asked to write a newsletter email about what you can still do in S/V and why you should still be playing it was Raids. That was it. Remember when you had an endless challenge in the Tower/Maison that you could optionally take on with a bunch of story characters as your partners instead of alone, that motivated you to keep getting stronger bit by bit? Remember rematching gym leaders multiple times and watching their teams grow and evolve each time? Yeah, there's none of that here, because that would take more than a week to implement. If you want friends and you want battles, you'll have to do it yourself online now. They're not allocating any budget for that.
Your rival for life, who's so excited you're on her level now, who seems to have the passion and skill to be the your Battle Tower gameplay loop by herself if she wanted to, who battles you for hours offscreen with multiple teams, whose whole character arc is that she finally has someone she can do this with... is fully static, with one kinda mediocre team that never grows or changes. She can't keep up with you and doesn't know what items or EVs are. You have to get lucky to even see her at all. She is no more your rival than your Home Ec teacher is (no offense Saguaro, you're cool too). I think it's really, really sad.
I'm left nostalgic and pining to go back, having to cope through fanfic because my character can't spend the day with - or even so much as take a new trainer card photo with - the girl who said they might be her greatest treasure, without resetting my save, because she and the others are standing somewhere that the camera and internet features are both disabled.
Like, legitimately, I want to keep being friends with these kids the way we were before, and have the ability to do post-game stuff with them, like being able to go out and adventure together whenever in some basic, non-story capacity, or just, I don't know, maybe give them more than one line of dialogue in their rooms? I don't want a new region or new characters. Not yet, anyway.
I thought I was preordering the continuation of their story and rewarding the company for making me care about Pokemon so much again.
But, uh... I'm really worried that the people who own these characters do not care. And as I said on the trailer's comments before they turned them off (lol), I'll be pissed enough to not buy any more games if I'm right, and we're forced to abandon these poor kids. At the very least, it's some pretty garbage marketing to leave the possibility of that up in the air. If nothing else, that is a frustration that I'm going to keep talking about for a while, even if it ends up being fine.
I thought it was impossible, and I was being silly. Why not have our friends in cute new outfits as promo art when the DLC was first announced, and all they had was promo art? Seems like an easy slam dunk. Oh, they didn't yet? Well, I'm sure it'll happen eventually.
And then they weren't in the trailer either, months later. Are they trying to sell us on it or not?
The whole reason I want the DLCs. Still not a single word acknowledging them, just that little opening montage. Still no hints of how the DLCs have anything to do with Area Zero's ongoing story, either. How is a sea turtle linked with a landlocked crater?
So like... At this point I have to assume both DLCs start with you making your friends cry as they're left alone again, arbitrarily excluded from events they're more than qualified to be invited to, to make room for some new dweebs we don't need, who won't be given nearly enough time to be as compelling as Nemona, Arven, and Penny were, because that makes the trailer look more like a new game, and that's the only way they know how to advertise. More. New. Buy. Consume. Throw away. Buy. Consume. Throw away. I should assume this so that whatever we get can't be worse.
But they're probably not (self-aware enough / allowed / both) to write that. Your lonely / orphaned / anime-binging friends might just cheer you on for getting to go do something cool like being forced to train a new legendary because the story said so, then go back to being statues with as much relevance to your life as an NPC in a third story apartment that tells you what a hold item is.
Can't I just live in Paldea with my friends, in the version of the game we would have gotten if it was finished, instead of being pulled into these adventures for the sake of looking good in a trailer? (which it doesn't btw lol) It's not an unrealistic thing to want when that's what it briefly was, and I was so excited that it would keep being that I've been thinking about it this entire time.
...
I hope I'm wrong about all this, and next year I can look back on this post, happy that the DLC did actually allow us to continue to take care of these characters, conclude Area Zero's mysteries in a satisfying way, fix up some technical issues, let us relive some things that are currently once-only (including letting us see that photo album our character made but we had to screenshot ourselves), and make it fun to keep playing for years afterward, and let that be the model for games going forward, but uh...
They really are not showing me anything I care about in the game I desperately want to care about, that I saw - and wanted to defend - the heart in, despite the circumstances it was produced under, and that really worries and frustrates me. The surprisingly many great things about this game got my hopes up for an awesome postgame full of warm fuzzy feelings and cool things to do 8 months ago that just didn't deliver, and now, I'm not sure if they'll even let me pay for one, at this rate, because they're not advertising one.
Just throw us a scrap. If whoever's in charge here stops caring about this story, I won't care about the next one.
Anyone else feeling this?
