🇬🇧 One of my fave things to do nowadays is to get ready for the next month. This book is a novel by W. Somerset Maugham. Its about dream and reality. A middle-aged English stockbroker, who abandons his wife and children (artists are selfish??! ) abruptly to pursue his desire to become an artist. 🇬🇧 Do you like Paul Gauguin? I like his paintings and I’ve always been curious about his life. I was looking for his biography when I found this beautiful book by W. Somerset Maugham. #themoonandsixpence tells the story of Charles Strickland, a London stockbroker who suddenly abandons his family to become a painter. Yes, it is based on the life of Paul Gauguin and yes, I have to read a biography after this cause this is just a work of fiction. And, I must say, a very good example of it! Have you read Maugham before? What do you think? . 🇹🇷Paul Gauguin sever misiniz? Ben resimlerini çok seviyorum ve uzun zamandır bu ilginç ressam hakkında daha fazlasını öğrenmeye çalışıyorum. 어제는 쨍하니 맑은 대로, 오늘은 차분히 스산한 대로 날씨가 참 좋다. 대상의 부재란 으레 관념을 제멋대로 감상적으로 키워버리기도, 고약하고 성가신 전긍함을 낳기도 하지만 어쨌든, 누군가를 앓는 시간이란, 아무쪼록 좋다. 애인도 직장인 또래 친구도 없는 직장인 J씨는 주말에 시험기간인 대학생 친구들이나 꾀어내어 술마시려다 실패하고,(기꺼이 꼬득여짐 당해준 휴학생 고시생들에게 새삼 감사한다,) 하필 수당도 못받는 주말근무까지 했으나, 책 paring signature cocktail 한 잔에 주말 정리가 마알간 봄비마냥 산뜻하게 된 기분. 요컨대, 그저 당신을 궁금해하다가 주말이 다 갔다. #종로 #식물 #달과6펜스 #TheMoonandSixpence #cocktail #weekend
