The sound of Hawk's voice was something you still hear when you close your eyes, undertones of something deeper, something similar to devotion... almost too caring... asking you to bare his children and become completely and irrevocably, HIS.
ft. Hawks centered, Hawks x reader, Slight! Dabi x Hawks, Slight! Bakugo x reader, Slight! Dabi x reader (in future chaps)
Hawks x UA Student! Reader (Part 14)
-
Warning tag: obsessed! Hawks, possessive! Hawks, naive! student reader, violation of trust, dubious consent, mating cycles, rut response, obsessive behavior, uncontrollable thirst for reader, manipulation, forced, thigh riding, hormonal minds out of control, sexual content, first time, cock riding, teenage fuck, Dabi's toxically interested in you, Bakugo bestie yet secretly inlove wit you, love confessions, cock-drunk, Hawks trying to be good but failing miserably, gaslighting, HEAVY plot, lots of smut.
-
Hawks felt like a glorified asshole for keeping an eye on you instead of doing his patrols. But he couldn't help it... he was just drawn to you like a magnet. Now, you were the gravitational force of his entire universe.
A loose gray sweatshirt covered up to your thighs, it was large and easily hid your identity. Those honey marbles that he called eyes, followed you closely bouncing from solitary tops of buildings, wondering where you were going in such a hurry and with so much stealth.
"What are you up to, baby bird?"
After all the commotion created in the dorms the night the Nomu attacked you, the last thing you wanted was to attract more attention.
The days to come it was difficult to find a moment alone especially with how overprotective your friends got, but you finally managed to shake them off a little, making up a credible enough excuse to go out alone even when Bakugo insisted proficiently on tagging along.Â
You reassured him, and quickly claimed that your parents wanted to see that you were okay in person. Actually, this web of lies was only due to you didnât want Bakugo by your side when going to the drugstore in search of that, vital and inculpatory, item.Â
You moved at a fast pace; it surprised you how sharp you were even when had been unable to close your eyes for the last nights. The thought of already being carrying Hawks' child in your womb plagued you mercilessly.
âI'm gonna stuff you with my chicks, you are gonna look soooooo pretty all swelled and heavyâŠâ you remembered his words, you could even feel his warm breath against your ear.
The sound of his voice was something you still hear when you closed your eyes, undertones of something deeper, something similar to devotion... almost too caring... asking you to bare his children and become completely and irrevocably, HIS.
âI can barely wait to come home to my pretty little wifey, waiting for meââ he had claimed, reverentlyâas if you were meant to be his most prized person, â...round belly, full of my chicks and big, pretty smile on your face,â his daydream, way too chaotic, way to visceralâŠÂ â-SO ready for me to fill you again.â
Your favorite Hero had come inside you more times than you could keep count, since you stopped doing it when he reached five.Â
You even remember, now like a bittersweet and faraway, fond memoryâŠ. that Hawks was your first sexual awakening, at the tender age of fourteen, it was his golden curls and his captivating, carefree smile, that had made your heart skip a beat, that had set your hormones on fire... he, alone had been the protagonist in your first sexual fantasy, your first masturbation session in the privacy of your room, your first fictitious boyfriend, your first crush with a man-.... So, was expected, that this situation should be a dream come true for you, but it wasn'tâŠ. Because you were no longer a naive and dreamy girl, and he was no longer the idealized, unattainable Hero. Everything had fallen into place in the most painful way possible.
âHere you go miss, thank you for your purchase."Â
The cashier replied as dry as a martini, prejudice peeking out of her cold stare, to which you only gave a soft thank you. Without a doubt, she and her unjustified reaction was a clear example of what to expect in a teenage pregnancy.
A heavy sigh escaped from your lips as you left the drugstore, you hated the situation you were in. The contents of the paper bag resting on your hand, your best kept secret so far, or so you thought.
Keigoâs skin crawled, the entire time you were inside the drugstore. Pinching the bridge of his nose, the winged hero felt like throwing up. He had used one of his feathers with a hidden microphone, so he could listen to what you ordered at the pharmacy, and his fists had clenched almost homicidally when heard you order 'morning-after pills' and a pregnancy test.
You were his mate, Goddammit! You were supposed to be happy and proud to sport his seed inside your tummy. Hawks sulked feeling highly wounded and offended, and not just for thisâŠÂ but also for yesterday's incident. That Bakugo guy was brazenly prickling at his infinitive patience, the bastard had overstepped his welcome yesterday and now, Hawks got him on his radar.Â
The winged blond paced from side to side like a bull seeing red, like a lion caged⊠yet eventually, after seeing how miserable and slouched you looked while searching for a public bathroom to make the test, his heart softened for you.Â
âIâm the worst trash that ever existed," The blond chastised himself, "nevertheless, I'm HER trash now."
Hawks didnât even try to deny his bizarre infatuation. He, almost proudly, admitted that this was not the end for the two of you-Â
He gifted you a month out of the graciousness of his heart, even when he doubted his ability to keep that promise. You were freely looming, in his mind, taunting his every thought.Â
So, he kept watch, waiting for something he didn't even know what it was. Nevertheless, his watch has begun, and it shall not end until his dying breath.Â
His mind had been set. You were his and he was yours, he could easily overpower you no matter how hard you tried, no matter who you ran to, what you did to try to protect yourself.... there was nothing you could do to stop him, and that simple truth was what was keeping him at ease. Granting you certain freedom from his iron grasp, from his sharp claws.
Finally, you found a public bathroom and ran in, this time the winged hero chose to give you the privacy of urinating on a stick, alone. You deserved that much. So, he patiently waited on the nearby roofs, he would then go get the pregnancy test from the garbage can, without a doubt, you wouldn't take the proof of his sin back to the dorms. So, all he had to do was wait.
You pee on the blessed plastic stick and wait. The instructions said one minute but you felt like two hours had already passed.
"God! Can't this take any longer?!" You complained loudly, nerves eating you alive. The minute passed and suddenly all your courage disappeared along with your desire to know the result.
The plastic stick left abandoned on top of the sink, you just had to take a look at it, but you couldn't move, you couldnât breathe, you couldnât fucking blink.
What was there would change your life three hundred and sixty degrees.
"Dammit!" you heard yourself curse, burying your face between your hands to massage your temple burdensomely, "...Grow a fuckin' pair and be done with it, (Y/N)-"
"-If you want, I can tell you the result."
You suddenly heard a bubbly voice say, and your hands fell from your face to reveal a girl standing there. A cute brunet with something akin to a smirk, or a very self-indulgent grin on her face.
âI really donât mind,â she giggled, all teeth and bubbly energy, ânor I will judge you, Iâve been there myself.â Her smile twisted reassuringly, and you sighed, embarrassed at having to resource to a stranger to do this.
âYou are way too kind but-â
âDonât overthink,â the girl stepped closer, offering you her best winning smile, âIâll look and then you can tell me if you want me to tell you the result, okey?âÂ
Somehow, her odd and unrequested company felt better than face this alone. You ended up, nodding stoically and she peek at the pregnancy test.
âOh.â
âOh?â you repeated, quizzically. âIs that a good âOhâ or a bad âOhâ?â your voice sounded weird even to you.
The girl cracked a wide smile taking the test in her hand. âWell that depends on you, do you want to be a mommy or not?â
You heart fluttered awkwardly at the bold use of term mommy. You shook your head anxiously, and she hummed in understanding.Â
âI see.â The girl conceded in a weird resignation, âtoo bad, you're so pretty... they would have been very cute children."
Oxygen refilled your lungs again, and you felt as if your life with dreams and hopes, was turned back on. A devastating feeling of relief washing over you.
âThank god!â you beamed with so much relief, you even felt like hugging this opportune strange, girl. âThat means, Iâm not with child.â
âNop.â She corroborated, handing you the test back, yet you refused to touch it.
âI don't want to have one of those in my hand again for a long time,â you admitted, honestly, âyou can throw it away.â
âSure,â the girl did, and after an unholy and vast blast of thank youâs, you parted ways with your anonymous hero. Almost skipping on your feet all the way out.
âThank you again.â You screamed back, once at the exit door. âSure, it was my pleasure...-â You left, and the door slowly swayed until it closed completely, and the girl added, â-(Y/N).â
Once alone, she reached into the trash can and retrieved the pregnancy test, giggling the whole time.
"A heroine-to-be shouldn't be so trusting." A macabre smile spread across her face, and she tilted her head at the test in her hand, "...I wonder why Dabi is so interested in Hawks' toy?" Toga wanted to rip her face off, but she had chosen one so pretty that decided to stay in costume a little longer. "Well, it doesn't matter, Dabi said heâll pay me for this, anyway."
Still, in disguise, pocketed the pregnancy test and left without raising any suspicion.Â
Hawks kept pacing on the roof, desperation clear in every stomp of his boots. He was doing his best to be patient while searching. The blond had been looking for the evidence for more than half a day, the damn pregnancy test, he sent a dozen of his feathers in search of it, but nothing... had you taken it with you? One would only keep a test if it was positive, right?! Were you pregnant with his nugget?!?... Was he really that lucky?
âHawks, where are you? over.â His radio came to live, once again and this time felt he couldnât dodge his Hero responsibilities anymore, âWe have not had any communication from you all day, over.â
Hawks inhaled sharply before answering. âI am on surveillance, please do not use this channel unless it is an emergency.â
âIt's not an emergency, but I thought it was prudent to let you know before accepting, over."
The night was already upon him, and the cleaning man was just leaving his shift. Hawks sighed, heavily. He had lost his chance to find anything.Â
"Speak."
"You have to say over when you finish talking." Hawks deadpanned; he wasnât in the mood for this.
"Speak." He repeated, sternly, patience close to its limit. The person on the other end sighed, "UA Academy is calling for reinforcements for this year's sports festival, over," the voice on the other end said and suddenly he felt very interested, "continue."
The radio biped again, "They fear an attack from the League of Villains, since yesterday someone managed to throw a projectile through the shield and break a gym window,â Hawks listened attentively, an impious smirk slowly twisting his lips up, apparently his little outburst had had interesting consequences. The person on the other side continued, âand therefore, they request the help of Pro-heroes to avoid any incident. Endeavor, Mirko, Best Jeanist and Ryukyu have already been confirmed," the voice explained, "I think It would be an overkill if you were to-"
"I accept, confirm my attendance immediately." There was an awkward silence before the radio biped again, "Are you sure? We have no intel of an attack from the League, you would be the first to know, I think they are overreacting-"
"Better safe than sorry."
Long silence, and then.
"If you say so, over and out."
The memory of yesterday's incident made his blood burn again, he knew it wasn't your fault but that of your little friend: Bakugo, that shameless son of a bitch, that made him foam at the mouth like a mad dog, it made him want to kill someone... it made him need to get even, and suddenly, the blue eyes and stapled skin of his lover in turn, spark in his brain... Dabi could take it, he'd even love it.. Hawks left the roof in a rush of crimson feathers and sent a text message.
Hawks. -
See you at the agreed place.
Dabi. -
So fast, birdbrains?
Hawks didn't answer, just heading to the agreed upon location.
-
âGive it here, Toga.â Dabi entered the room where Toga was upside down on the couch, scrolling through her cell phone. He needed to close that before meeting Hawks. "...I assume you have what I asked for?"
Toga sat up straight and stretched her back soundly, before answering. "I got it," she assured, "...where's my payment?"
Dabi took out a box of fine sweets, from the best store in town. Store that at this moment was being put out by firefighters after the sudden and unsuspected electrical short that set it on fire. If only.
"First give me the evidence and I'll give you the box." Dabi offered with a bored grimace, and Toga pulled the coveted item out of her backpack.
"At the same time?"
Dabi shrugged, unconcerned. After both snatched the precious items from each otherâs hands in a quick exchange, the pregnancy test rested in his scarred hand. Without ceremony, Toga ripped the box open and stuffed her mouth, making her words difficult to understand.
"Why aw-re you interestwed in Hawks' girlwfriend?"
A pierced eyebrow rose on the dark-haired man's face.Â
"How many lines for positive or negative?" the turquoise-eyed asked, openly ignoring her ramblings.Â
Toga shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, I never knew how to read them." She admitted in all honesty, stuffing her cheeks with more candy.
Dabi grimaced, and luckily for him Kurogiriâs timing couldnât be better. The dark purple mist appeared out of thin air behind the bar. Misty's hands beginning to clean glasses, absentmindedly.
"Oi Kurogiri, do you know how to read these things?"
The dark purple mist's yellow eyes stared sharply at the item in his hand before meeting his eyes for a brief minute, and then returning his gaze to the pregnancy test. "I have some knowledge about it."
Dabi stepped closer, handing him the test. Kurogiriâs eyes fixed on the stripes and Dabiâs lips pursed, unable to know if he was smiling or scoffing when he ended up saying quite politely.
"Congratulations, Dabi."

When writers say the riddler is too silly for modern Batman stories, I wonder how much of that is code for âI canât write good riddlesâ. I mean, even btas only had a few episodes with Eddie because Dini admitted they had a hard time coming up with them.
I suppose it brings up a problem with writing a character whoâs supposed to be smarter than you.
Itâs easy to have joker blow up a bunch of buildings.
You want to show a villain is tough, have them smack the heroes around a little.
You want to show a character is a genius, just have the build robots or time machines or whatever.
But very few can hit that intellectual sweet spot between âoverly complex word puzzles so difficult Bruce has to pull the answers out of his buttâ and âdopey puns that wouldnât make popsicle stick standardsâ
I mean obviously the puns and silly little puzzles are a vital part of the Riddler, but you know, even if you can't write that, there are aspects of the Riddler that you can focus on that still feel true to the core of the character. I think the pathological need for attention can be a great focus for his character, and I think the Arkham Games did a fun job with that even if the majority of the 'riddles' were just in-game puzzles and him taunting you. There's also something to be said about like... certain facets of the Rogues basically getting offloaded onto the Joker because DC feels the need to jam Joker into everything to make it sell. Like, you have variations on Harvey's Two-Face origin story getting offloaded onto the Joker because of the Joker's (might not even be real because one of the Joker's whole THINGS is that he's an unreliable narrator) "Red Hood" origin story in The Killing Joke. So like, Bruce and Harvey are childhood friends, but then DC will bring in the Joker and kind of co-opt (one of) Harvey's origin stories to say, "Batman was, while unintentionally, intimately involved with the creation of the Joker." But like... the whole thing about the Joker is that we, as the audience, aren't ever really supposed to know why the Joker's Like That. That's the whole point of him having multiple "You wanna know how I got these scars?" stories in Nolan's The Dark Knight.
But like... take the Joker's obsession with being Batman's Ultimate Nemesis in The Lego Batman, for example--you actually have a lot of Batman's relationship with the Riddler in that particular interpretation of the Joker, because for the Riddler, it's all about proving himself as Batman's intellectual superior, and actually a major factor of their chemistry is that this obsession is significantly one-sided on the Riddler's end. And I think the Matt Reeves Batman also handled that "one-sided obsession" aspect of the Riddler really well, as well. Like, for Batman, it's all just mystery to solve and then you finally get to the Riddler and Paul Dano's Riddler is like "Wrow. I knew you'd find me because we're so alike and we're besties! It's allll for youuuu!" and then you have Batman fire back with "We're nothing alike--! Wait, I just remembered I'm also an off-putting loner freak. Uh oh." So like... there are ways to feel true to the Riddler even if you can't go full camp.
The Riddler WANTS Batman to find him. He WANTS Batman to solve his riddles because not only is that the only way he is 'seen' but he believes it also gives him control in how he is seen and who he is seen by--although it really doesn't because Batman has already made his assessment of "This is an egotistical loner freak who is desperate for attention and obsessed with me."

I finally realized why the Valkyries donât really click for me the way the Inner Circle does and itâs because the Valkyries arenât really their own people outside of Nesta. The most important thing about them is their connection to Nesta.
Meanwhile the Inner Circle is made of up many different people who are vital to one another and the plot. And itâs because of their differences that they work so well together but also never overshadow one another. Rhys isnât similar to Cassian but somehow they work. Feyre isnât similar to Azriel but somehow they work. Azriel isnât similar to Cassian but somehow they work. Amren isnât similar to Feyre but somehow they work.
Maybe itâs because the IC are actually a Governing body and that gives them more room to be explored as individuals who help lead the Night Court. Instead of just being Feysandâs family members who pop up when they need some emotional help. You can dislike or like each individual member of the Inner Circle without it feel like your pro or anti the entire group.
It doesnât really feel that way with the Valkyries. They seem like a bunch of high school girls who starts calling each other âsisterâ and âbestieâ after a few months of knowing one another. They are the typical YA side character friends who are there to be emotional support and remind the main character that theyâre special. I know they were purposely written to be shallow but thatâs the way it came across.
The Inner Circleâs faulty traits and admirable traits are what gives them depth. Like âYes this is what a family looks likeâ. They have what the Valkyries lack and thatâs individuality.

So Darkest Hour is over, the MMPR main series has wrapped, so what do we do now? We......check out the adventures of this team led by a giant polar bear? Sure!
It's Power Rangers Infinity!
= For those who haven't seen the previews: our main character, Lola! She's cute, I like her a lot; even if admittedly BOOM has really been dishing out the Green Ranger girls one after another lately. (As for her last name being Navarro.....put in a pin in that for a second. Unfortunately it doesn't go where you might think it goes.)
= Obviously there's no way to prove it but moments like this kiiiiiind of feel like this was written back when BOOM figured they were finished with the PR license. It's a little too on the nose
= GIRL YOU LOOK SO GOOD
= Though I am a little annoyed because her lines here about looking for Lola for a long time made me think my theory that she was targeting her because she was related to Tyler/Shelby (or Poisandra just THOUGHT she was) was real. Unfortunately Lola's last name being Navarro isn't at all relevant (she targets Lola because she overhears that she writes PR fanfiction, so she wants Lola to make a weak team she can beat, it's a whole thing) so I guess in the end it was just an Easter Egg. I guess it's not too much of a surprise as this is set in "our" world rather than the Dino Charge world, but still, if you were going out of your way to pit a Dino Charge villain against a main character with the same last name as a Dino Charge character, you'd think that was leading up to something
= Group shot of the team! Along with the names, since I kind of skimmed my first reading and didn't retain them kjkdjf
= Also I just noticed Braylee's visor is shaped like a megaphone. That's cute
= Unfortunately the Poisandra Stan Society skipped out on PMC 2024. I totally would have gotten a picture with them otherwise
= Obviously as this is a one-shot book making gags out of the concept of "unlikely character archetypes as Power Rangers" the Infinity team members don't have the most complex personalities, but it's vital for you to know that the Pink Ranger, Penelope Prescott, is a lesbian. Anyway hot bear time
= I literally went into this book thinking the polar bear (Coach Kumo) would end up being a joke one-note "haha is that an ANIMAL as a ranger??" a la Yale but he actually ended up being my favorite character so uh. Yeah. Power Rangers Infinity did the whole "animal ranger" thing better than the main series. Make of that what you will
= And a look at the other teams. And okay, I'm just going to come out and say it; we did canonically have a pirate team in the show. I KNOW THEY DIDN'T DO PIRATE STUFF BUT I DON'T CARE, THEY STILL EXISTED, IT'S NOT AS OUTLANDISH AS THE HOCKEY BEAR UNIVERSE
= I do have to admit, for as much as this book tries to joke about how Poisandra isn't a threat and can't find a team weak enough for her to defeat, they're pretty casually talking about how she's basically committing mass genocide. Like their teams/universes are literally dead. I think that counts as beating them
= Proud of the book for not calling them "Paisley Force"
= your uber is here
= Anyway actual worst part of this book is it implies Poisandra took out Curio too which SHE WOULD NEVER DO!!!!!!! THAT IS HER BESTIE!!!!!!! Sledge getting her this ship is 100% in-character though
= Poisandra has committed mass murder and kidnapping but nothing compares to the evil of committing Lola to the path of customer service
= Still a better Green Ranger reveal than M/tt
= This silly one-shot parody comic sure has a lot of death in it
= speaking of death:
= MORE ONSCREEN DEATH THAN DARKEST HOUR IN THE ONE-SHOT GOOFY PARODY COMIC I'M GOING INSANE
= This is sweet and everything, but it kinda takes me back to how members of this fandom would uhhhh kinda harass the writers and BOOM about including their own ideas in the comic. (And the actors too. Firsthand witness to that at PMC 2024!) So to all up and coming writers and artists: please keep your submissions and pitches to professional settings
= see you, space cowboy...................

I don't know if anyone has asked for this yet, but can we have a Nutcracker (preferably male) reader and/or ballerina (Preferably female) reader being besties and just doing little performances for everyone in the circus. This can either be romantic or platonic Reader(s) x TADC, I don't mind! Go crazy with it! Go wild! I love to read ur headcanons and stuff so much man/pos
Gangle, Kinger, Jax, Caine x reader who hosts shows!
two things! i couldnt decide on the gender of the reader so you can read it as both or either </3 other thing, i still dont take reqs for the entire cast (nothing against you this is a blog wide rule/character limit) so i went ahead and ran the request through a wheel to randomly select characters with that said, i hope you enjoy!
CAINE:
i think, given that hes the circus ringmaster of the circus as well as generally being in control of things thanks to his status of an ai, he tends to host your shows... might even make the other circus members watch. whether you want to read this as platonic or romantic, he just does it because he wants to support you and allow your talent to be seen...! though he might get rather.... loud about it. ive said it so many times but im ready to say it again, he would be your number one fan and hes going to be very clear about it. probably throws roses to the stage for you when youre done with your performance... cheers and claps the loudest... hell, if youre comfortable with it, he might just wear a shirt with your name and face on it..! truly your number 1 fan
JAX:
i think if this is platonic, depending on how close you guys are he might try to disrupt the show by being a jackass. generally being annoying and trying to get a reaction out of you... though i dont think he would do this if you guys are actually. close or good friends and/or dating... now practice? thats something else... definitely a case of him being able to see that you enjoy what you do and you have passion and dedicate himself so he might just try to contain himself and his need to be an asshole and cause havoc.. i think if asked what he thought he would seem a little neutral about it, hes not going to praise you excessively or be mean.. jax doesnt seem like the type to gush over someone or something no matter how much he liked it.. best youd get out of him is a "good job,".. definitely one that hinges off of how close you guys are and how much respect and boundaries are set up between you two
KINGER:
i think he might be a toned down caine, looks like he would give you a rose after your performance.. though if youre not a flower person i think he would swap the rose out for something else. while caine might be barely containing his excitement throughout your performance, kinger is much more likely to be able to sit still and quiet... although still very much consumed by you, perhaps even sitting on the edge of his seat in an attempt to get a better look at you. i think he would notice a lot of smaller details and stuff you put in your shows, such as costumes or decoration, too... maybe its self projection, but i think he bounces between being clueless to having a really really keen eye when it comes to things... also the fact i love the hc of "clueless/chaotic/commonly zoned out character noticing something vital or making a smart point for a moment before reverting back to status quo" is one of my favorite tropes.... loves watching you practice
GANGLE:
i think she might actually help you with costumes and stage decorations! sure her thing is mostly art and you might have to recruit the help of ragatha for some things but i think gangle would be more than willing to help you out... plus it gives her something to do, and it means spending time with you! and thats always nice! very receptive to the stuff you have to say but i think she might try to offer some alternatives to make things visually look more appealing... as for actual performances i think she would love them! she strikes me as a theatre kid, and your sort of thing is adjacent i think... might gush to you about the show and how you did, though its often that she might trail off and become sheepish if she feels she was getting too into her ramble.. generally very sweet, though, but due to her shyness shes not going to do more than the rest of the crowd (throwing flowers, clapping louder than everyone else, ect ect ect)

Okay hereâs another controversial âGreen family takeâ tell me if Iâm wrong.
âPeople who hate Harumi and Lloyd family dynamic ignore that Lloyd and Morro also shouldnât have a family dynamic, when Morro did the exact same thingâ
Because besties I agree I honestly think green cousins doesnât make much sense either since yknow Morro and the whole possession thing, but at the same time if you look at canon, they just arenât the same thing and yknow I need people to actually stop looking at Harumi as the girl version of Morro and the only reason we hate her is because sheâs a girl.
Because sheâs not.
Like yes I agree thereâs definitely a lot of bias towards Morro, if he was woman he would be demonised to hell and back but since heâs man then he is adored, and vice versa with Harumi and sexism fucking sucks.
But Harumi and Morro are different guys. Harumi is portrayed as worse in canon in Lloydâs eyes. Yeah Lloyd got possessed by Morro and thatâs obviously bad tm but other than what people assume possession entails, Lloyd was never as shaken as he was with Harumi.
In s5, we never saw Lloyd be conflicted about the possession thing. He had no fear of Morro. We have no reason to believe that a ghost possession feels worse than being a sleep and maybe having a vague awareness of whatâs going on. He barely mentions Morro after s5. And I will say I think this is a writing flaw, obviously it wouldâve been cooler if Morro actually had some kind of impact on the ninja, but regardless this is the canon. Lloyd hates Morro but heâs not traumatised yknow. Itâs not to the point that Harumi got to.
I feel like getting possessed should be worse than getting lied to, but Harumi did on top of it, start a cult in his name, Kill actual Characters (the royal family and Hutchins) and then kidnap Lloyd and his mother and his uncle and then resurrect his father removing vital parts of his fatherâs mind/personality/emotional cognitive abilities etc. on top of that she also nearly killed the ninja and wu (which Lloyd believed she did).
Somehow she was much more dangerous than Morro was, she was a much more successful villain.
Additionally I would say Morro has more of an excuse to be seen as family, even if I Iâm less of a green cousins fan. Because Morro and Wu actually have a father son relationship, in which Wu was actually responsible over Morro. They had a normal albeit imperfect dynamic before Morro left. Regardless of Lloyd and Morroâs interactions, that dynamic was still present even in the very end.
It doesnât mean and Lloyd and Morro have to be buddies, just because thereâs a family connection doesnât mean shit (this is the show of found family have we learned nothing? Blood connections donât matter, only friendship).
But like in comparison to Harumi and Garmadonâs absolute parody of a relationship, where Harumi turns to the man who doesnât remember what love is and asks him to be her father (at this point neither of them know what âfatherâ even means), Morro does have a family dynamic and Harumi does not.
So in response to the original quote, Morro has a much more solid claim to any kind of family dynamic bc his relation to Wu is much more family esq, and also he was bad yeah, but the show portrays Harumi as worse especially in Lloydâs opinion.
I just donât like the argument that Morro and Harumi have done the same things, when the severity is definitely different imo and they arenât just copies of each other. Imo itâs an oversimplification to reduce their characters down to each other.
#u heard it here first#spicy is not the biggest fan of green cousins or Garmadon siblings#sorry#if ppl make good content for it then Iâll let it slide but generally not a fan#i feel bad for saying it but I guess I really just donât like Harumi as much#i feel like whenever people talk about Harumi itâs always âoh you hate her cuz ur sexistâ#no I hate her because I donât like how sheâs written or how her character is established#like Ik some people like her backstory but I just donât#it just feels like the writers went âletâs blame the characters for no reasonâ#and Iâm just so sick of the evil love interest trope I hate it so much and that is what Harumi is on s8#because itâs happened 3 times now#THREE#PIXAL SKYLOR HARUMI#Itâs that mindset of women are evil theyâll seduce you with their crimes against human nature#okay that tag is gonna sound very appealing to the gays on here but like in the context of the show itâs just demonising women#like take out the romance aspect and fix Harumiâs backstory and maybe Iâd like her more#i will say Morro is badly written also he does nothing interesting really other than his backstory#i like what he means about wu but like they do not even explore that dynamic much in the show#heâs like an unopened present#his set up is so good but they donât do shit with it#idk idk#obviously all my opinions#ninjago

Hi bestie!! I wanted to get your opinions on some of the hetalia 2ps (mainly the allies) and what you think theyâre like
I adore the concept of the 2ps, I think itâs such a silly idea that a lot of the fandom agreed on stuff for them w/ out prompt!! I always love hearing the different ideas or opinions on them :00!!
Hi!! Happily!! Though some I don't really use, I have a slight bit about them! I tend to focus more on England and Japan, but I don't toss out everyone else! But I'll warn, most will mention something about Oliver đ
2p England - Oliver is my absolute baby, he's become a vital part of me at this point. Though he follows same guidelines as the fandoms' depiction of him, he has... pages of lore I have made for him. Explaining why he does what he does, says what he says, what he wants and how he views things: ex. He hates everyone, he sees no value in any life including his, other than Arthur (his twin) and his partner. Allen and Matt are seen as his sons, but they stopped loving him, so he won't hesitate to dismiss or hurt them. Kuro is a friend, he cares a bit, but not nearly enough to take his feelings into account. To him, if they don't love him after what he's done, they don't deserve the life he provided them. He has a lot of... issues. He's sympathetic, but you still don't like that he's that way. He's capable of care, but just... doesn't. Though, he wasn't always like this... in fact he used to be the opposite until the incident happened that led him down a rabbithole he can never crawl out from. He's bubbly, manipulative, cunning, deceptive, clingy, needy, greedy, intelligent, selfish, and sickeningly affectionate. Severe abandonment issues and has a need to always have attention, or else he starts to get aggressive. Though he sees no value in other's lives, it doesn't mean he goes out of his way to hurt them just because- oh no. He saves that for people who hurt others. Vigilante, you could call him. He has no country power, since he was "too soft" to take anything seriously, so they chose Arthur to be the main one instead of having them both.
2p America - Allen is alright to me, I enjoy him, but I don't tend to use him. Allen is a very liberal man, and extremely stubborn in his beliefs. Vegan, but doesn't force it on others. He often goes out at night to attack people that threaten or harm women, but never shows himself to the ones he helps. Learned that from Oliver. Gets along well with the others, but sees Alfred as an annoying, stupid little cousin that needs scolded all the time. Though, he absolutely despises Oliver with his entire heart. In fact, he wants him dead. He is aware Oliver kept him safe growing up, but he can't forgive him for the secret he kept. Sometimes he gets himself into trouble by giving too much or caring too much about others' feelings, despite how he acts. He's extremely empathetic and patient with people, and fights often with Alfred over how their country is being run.
2p Canada - Matt is quiet and tends to keep to himself, he's confident in his own abilities and sees no need to get attention from others- he knows his worth. He gets used about as much as Allen, since they're usually a pair, much closer than Alfred and Matthew are. Strong, smart, solid. This guy probably built his own house just because he likes doing it. He's not really selfish, but isn't selfless. He's a good median, and is fairly balanced. Has a soft spot for Oliver's sweets, and sees him more as a father than Allen. Doesn't hate him, but doesn't love him as much as he used to, sadly. He's actually quite nice to Matthew and tells him to stop caring about other country's attention, he's a fine guy.
2p France - Not much on him other than he's cold, tired, but not cruel. He's very avoidant and seems to get uncomfortable around Francis, since Francis keeps trying to "brighten him up". Would much rather sit in a quiet room with Matt and embroider or knit, maybe have a glass of wine and go to an art museum. He likes art, a lot, and is often painting alone... and he's quite good at it. Usually calm and a bit snippy with others, he won't apologize but won't keep going, but he is remorseful. He has a lot of back pain which affects his sleep, but doesn't talk much about it. He's a bit afraid of Oliver, and Oliver wants him dead. But he's not sure what he did for Oliver to want that of him... so he just never communicates unless necessary.
2p Russia - I.... actually don't have anything for him. I don't have an opinion on him, he's mostly quiet and serious, straightforward about what he wants. Sorry! I don't really use Russia in general!
2p China - I don't use him much either but... This man pretends to hate cute things, but in fact, loves them. He likes to think he's dismissive, but he actually cares too much and wants to help, but restrains himself from doing so. Mainly, he hates arguing or debating. But once alone he will complain to himself hardcore. While his counterpart is talkative and jokes, and can be emotional, he tries not to be. He doesn't hate Yao, in fact he actually likes him a lot, but seems to just do as Yao says, since he trusts him. He sees Yao as a big brother, so that's why he does that. He trusts him more than he does anyone else. He doesn't have much power but that was his own choice, he enjoys living as a regular person rather than deal with the stressful job as a country, though he gets called in for major things.
I hope that's all okay! 𫶠I really like the idea of 2Ps and.. well my own 3Ps haha
Sorry Ollie has so much he is a hyperfixation đ

HELLOOOO 2BHANK HEADCSNONS HEART EMOJI :]
the ideas that have been in my small little brain
even when others are nice to hank he finds it very empty which is why in project nexus he doesn't really connect with others however his relationship with 2bdamned is more than "He's nice to me" its the fact 2bdamned is actually displaying more than words, because he realizes that 2bdamned is doing more than he has to in any capacity. they share a goal of defeating - or atleast subduing - the AAHW. 2bdamned's assistance in providing high level weaponry and teammates should be enough, but he's giving MORE. after hanks first death on a mission after beginning to work with 2bdamned, he finds it strange that 2bdamned is the one to help revive him but that gives them time to spend together. He finds it even more strange that this is his first encounter with another person that includes physical touch but no harm, he doesn't know what to make of that. Eventually its not just when hank dies. It starts happening enough that 2bdamned says he has to come by so often he might as well start living there, but hank takes that as a serious offer and obliges. Both of them are surprised, but it happens anyway.
I think that's the point at which they start to know each other well enough to advance this to a relationship past "We just need to get by" to "I'm doing all these super nice things just as a favor" which are definitely not just favors, they spend more and more time together as a result. Hands lingering over stitched wounds 'just to check one more time', small talk during treatment, i think around that point is when hank opens up to doc a lot more. I like to think they do stuff outside of work or simply "Living" too, having a drink together and such. I think it's obvious they want to keep it "strictly business" but it's been past that point ever since they started living together, and WELL past ever since they started becoming more ... casual to each other.
I don't truly know to what extent hank feels for 2bdamned, but I think he kind of struggles with the fact he hasn't killed him yet when there's reasons he COULD and he SHOULD, but i supposed it's something in the back of his mind that he can when it comes to that point. The better question is why hasn't it? How did it get to THIS point where it's become past the work? Why would he do something like be open to someone like HIM? Why hasn't he done anything about it?
2bdamned's own emotions are pretty clear to him but he's in denial saying it's about the research or the practicality or some other bullshit not willing to admit its spending more resources than it's worth to keep the fucker alive, especially if hank doesn't exactly need 2bdamned's talents to revive himself. It's needless use of vital things like giving up privacy to live with the Scariest Guy In All Of Nevada or using reviving when Hank doesn't even need any of the fancy tech in the first place to be revived. It's the same question of "How's it come to this?"
i need them to be a little more fucked up emotionally than just snuggle buddies at movie night. i mentioned this elsewhere but their relationship is kind of like. They both think theyre the guy taking care of the cat, but they're both the cat. sorry less of a headcanons list and more a dump of some headcanon emotional garbage but here's some stuff i think theyd do and be gay about
drinking together (mentioned) and getting a bit more closer emotionally, both of them talk about their jobs and what they do what they do but i also think doc would mention something about being ex-aahw and being like "FUCK!!NO HE'LL HATE ME NOW!!" and hanks like "AHHAHAHA see it's just better to hang with me" and at that point they became besties (CODE FOR hot gay lovers)
also after that doc just begins complaining so so much about the AAHW especially the working conditions
THREE WORDS. HOMO!! EROTIC!! SURGERY!!! you all know it by now yes the "oh so you're in my guts. okay. buy me dinner first" but like you know. i think people should focus more on the touching aspect and i never really see it enough... gimme some tracing over the stomach and hank being all fucked up over how this is the only time of the day someone gets to hold him without it following his head being bashed in. I do think it's a little funny thinking about this though, i think 2bdamned definitely forgets all the time he's working with a LIVING body not a dead one so he just kinda sticks his hand in there sometimes and when hanks like "AUGHTR" he's like oopsie ^_^ forgot
hank tried to kiss doc once after surgery and he had to play it off as being delirious and then stomped out really all mad at himself
they have to sleep in the same bed or it's that doc is sleeping in a fucking chair but the problem is all of his chairs are stools. they HAVE to sleep in the same bed man. there's only one bed trope but contest to see how long they can last before making out. do this in real life with your best friend
also that doc is the one that cooks for both of them and it is kind of shit food but compared to the fact hank cant fucking cook its like a miracle hank gets anything other than Cheese Pizza in his system
you remember that "Pretty Please" note doc wrote to hank to tell him to Pretty Please Destroy The Only City In Our Fucking World i think he talks really jokingly to hank, but doesnt do it because hank doesn't really pick up on it being a joke. usually does try to remain serious and normal for most conversations
if i think of any more i'll psot them later but it is 12:30 am !!! i like them a lot. i like them a lot

forget club rat az, mcr hot topic az is what we need. anyway hello????!!!!!!! it's time for my cbmthy thoughts baz was LITERALLY the mvp there. The way this man stood his ground to one of the most feared warriors of Night Court, that was so fun to read. Reader has to bring him a breakfast gift basket or something when she's back! He deserves it. ~very well acquainted
Also, Azriel is the king of Being In Denial. You know she's not in that goddamn room. And I agree with Yarnball (Wool?) 𧶠that it irks me that suddenly he's only giving her a second thought now because there's a vision where he dies? Please. He has so much yearning and redemption to do. (and I can't wait to see it happen hehe! suffer, az) (but I do remember him thinking that he's scared her off too... like the others have before and she was outlasting them... hmmm... I'll love to have him elaborate on that thought)
Her trading the earrings for the ring was EVERYTHING I got an inkling she might do that while I was reading and it was amazing when it actually happened. You said that even Az would be relieved she got rid of it, but I kinda wanted him to be a little offended fdbfhdfjfbd like why was he obsessively looking for them in her room? Hmph. I hope he does clutch his pearls a little when he sees she chose a fox ring as the trade!
Now for the main, most important part: Death Surge? As in the burst of energy and vitality one gets when they're about to die? Tabby, you evil genius. I'm so excited to see the extent of her powers and what she can do with them, and why the Cauldron would give her that. Nesta took something, Elain was given... could reader have been dying when she was dumped into the magic bathtub and her powers happened as a response to this second life? Very, very interesting. I'm at the edge of my seat. the writing is beautiful as always! you're a source of inspiration for me at this point, it makes me want to experiment with my wording and sentence building. <3
(also, I think it's great that we are forming a group of besties through these anon asks, I love interacting with you all!!) love, đ„
âforget club rat az, mor hot topic az is what we need. anywayâ
Wait hold on!! I have evidence to support this đ„čđ§Ąđ
âhello????!!!!!!! it's time for my cbmthy thoughtsâ
Letâs gooooo đ„łđ
âbaz was LITERALLY the mvp there. The way this man stood his ground to one of the most feared warriors of Night Court, that was so fun to read.â
Heâs so provocative itâs worrying đ like I know he had a tendency toward violence (in the casual-brawl-at-the-pub kind of way, not anything potentially dangerous to reader) but an Illyrian warrior Bas?? Please be more careful next time đ
âReader has to bring him a breakfast gift basket or something when she's back! He deserves it. ~very well acquaintedâ
đ€đ€đ€
âAnd I agree with Yarnball (Wool?) đ§¶â
I love it so much when you interact with one another đ„č itâs so sweet to see đ
âHe has so much yearning and redemption to do. (and I can't wait to see it happen hehe! suffer, az)â
Iâve been thinking about how exactly Azâs redemption is going to go, because while I donât think heâs done anything bad bad, I donât think reader will be able to trust him entirely as is, even if she wants to.
Trust building exercises!!! đđđ
âsuffer, azâ
đđ€đ€đ€
â(but I do remember him thinking that he's scared her off too... like the others have before and she was outlasting them... hmmm... I'll love to have him elaborate on that thought)â
Oh my gosh, that was meant to be him thinking âfirst I was kind of a dick to her in library, then I was more of a dick after, then I read through the volume, then I got her a bland present, then I left her unchecked when I should have spoken to her instead of giving her time and spaceđâ
Sorry, I can see how that could be misinterpreted đ«Łđ
âHer trading the earrings for the ring was EVERYTHING I got an inkling she might do that while I was reading and it was amazing when it actually happened.â
Iâm so happy you enjoyed it đč
I remeber thinking so many times when I was writing part 12 âokay, you have to remember to mention that she takes the earrings with her or else whatâs even the pointâ đđ€Š
âI hope he does clutch his pearls a little when he sees she chose a fox ring as the trade!â
âIâm happy you got rid of them, but a fox ring? Really?â Yes, Az. Really đ€ I think his feathers will get at least a little ruffled when he sees that finds out about it :)
âI'm so excited to see the extent of her powers and what she can do with them, and why the Cauldron would give her that.â
Iâm glad youâre excited because Iâm scaredâI donât want to mess anything up from how Iâve imagined it đ«Łđ
âthe writing is beautiful as always! you're a source of inspiration for me at this point, it makes me want to experiment with my wording and sentence building. <3â
đłđłđł Iâm so flattered, thank you đđ«
Writing is so fun for me and such a nice way to relax (most of the time) so I hope you get a similar thing out of it! đ§Ąđđ«
â(also, I think it's great that we are forming a group of besties through these anon asks, I love interacting with you all!!)â
Right? Itâs so lovely to see you speaking with one another âčïžâčïžđ§Ąđ

eredin for the character ask thingy of course! but also maybe auberon? đ up to you
thank you so much elis!! i really appreciate it.đ
eredin
sexuality headcanon: gay. i actually tend to block ppl if they ship him with women no matter who he is shipped with because this is my strongest sexuality headcanon in witcher...it's obviously not anything inherently problematic, just makes me personally very uncomfortable, so i curate my experience. gender headcanon: he's definitely masculine and enjoys it, that's all i can say. a ship I have with said character: avallac'h. i'm usually not much of a multishipper, so...that's it. a brotp I have with said character: imlerith! he actually has the opposite effect of ava on eredin though...when ava is around, his impulse control is better, while imlerith makes it worse. they are besties though. a notp I have with said character: ciri. over all else is that i think it's creepy but i can also easily add further to that. i'm sure there is no attraction from either side, ciri has an aversion to anything actually happening between them if her anxiety is anything to go by. i find it strange that people think her attraction to him was genuine. however, this is about eredin, so i will go more into how he acts and feels towards her instead. eredin isn't even slightly attracted to her. the only line that could even slightly indicate that is an offhanded comment... he notes that some prefer being roughly caressed and that he would not personally do something of the sort non-consensually ("only if you permit me"). this p much potentially points out his own general view on sex and i do not think at all that he was actually flirting. he changes the subject without any further ado because he doesn't care for continuing that topic...it was, as said, an off-hand comment. ciri very much specifies that he showed no interest in her or doing anything with her; he stares at her with cold eyes and only thinks about his own shenanigans and straight out specifies how little he thinks of her *twice*...he straight-up says that he doesn't think that she is special in any way, seemingly not even believing that she has any powers at all from the way he talks. explains that he thinks ava & auberon are wrong about her. in conclusion, why people think ciri & eredin would want anything to do with one another is beyond me. a random headcanon: eredin had a decent relationship with his mother before he left her to be independent. he never met his father but that doesn't matter to him and didn't affect him. eredin got his brutal honesty from his mother, she was like that too. she was not toxic in any way though. in the end, he ended up seeing value in the things she had taught him, but did not choose to take her name because it did not seem vital to him that he'd have his origins be clear in his name. she had already given him his own name and he would carry that with him as a reminder instead. eredin wasn't born into a higher up family, pretty much got his recognition by just being an extremely talented swordsman. it was a passion of his. he's got the personality of a natural leader and earned the respect of many despite his sharp tongue...though he was partially feared too and would grow to be revered and feared more and more over time. wasn't much of a surprise when he ended up becoming a general. general opinion over said character: i love him. i didn't give a shit about him in witcher 3 after seeing his face because i thought elves were boring back then...i wanted him to be a monster...and here i am now. he is a type of monster, but very different from what i initially wanted him to be. eredin in the books has lots of layers and can be interpreted in several different ways. he's also very clearly intelligent to a certain degree. game eredin is just all about loving violence and dominance with little to nothing else.
auberon
sexuality headcanon: he's tried everything. gender headcanon: i think auberon is too old to care about his gender. a ship I have with said character: with shiadhal. lara looked at them and hoped she would find something like what they had. she did not truly find it until she got to know cregennan. shiadhal died young, at least for an elf. many depict her as a warrior and i like that idea. a brotp I have with said character: never had many close friends, and many individuals he did consider friends are gone. i imagine he was sort-of friends with avallac'h's mentor. a notp I have with said character: i guess i could say with eredin, because i've seen some of that and it's not for me. doesn't induce disgust in me like ciri with aen elle does so i don't mind running into it much but i don't enjoy it. a random headcanon: his relationship with avallac'h isn't exactly friendly, it's very professional. auberon calls ava "crevan", mainly to express his authority and only partially because that used to be his potential "son-in-law" (or whatever the elven equivalent of that is, at least). general opinion over said character: i have very mixed feelings about him, though i think it leans more towards dislike. he makes me uncomfortable in many ways, which makes it ironic that his gwent card's 3rd stage is my favorite card in gwent....

Whatre your thoughts on amitus arc?
(I'm assuming that was meant to say Amity so sorry if I'm wrong)
Amityâs whole character at the beginning was honestly pretty interesting to me. Weâre introduced to her and immediately learn that sheâs the stereotypical bully character and we arenât meant to like her. However, it was hard to think about her anger towards Luz and Willow over what they did at Hexside as unjustifiable. I mean, Iâd also be pretty mad if someone cheated at something Iâve been practicing hard at and making me look bad. Amityâs bullying was not okay, but it was hard to feel bad for her when she was the one being antagonized in that moment.
Then, almost the same exact thing happens again with the witchâs duel at the Covention except now we actually get to see just how upset over it Amity is. She isnât just mad, sheâs making it obvious that sheâs the one who feels bullied and Luz gets to see it as well. I think that was probably one of the most important moments for not only Amity to understand that Luz isnât trying to hurt her, but for Luz and us as the audience to realize that Amity might have something more to her than just being a bully. Then of course we find out about the Blight parents and Amityâs motives, and while it doesnât justify her bullying, it does make her a little more sympathetic of a character. Sheâs just a kid being manipulated by her parents and made to do something she doesnât have to.
My main problem, however, (and maybe Iâm forgetting something) is that Amity was WAY too harsh on Willow. Her parents just said that they couldnât be friends, not that she had to bully and berate her for the rest of their lives. Maybe it was to fit in with Boscha and Skara more or whatever, but it just felt kind of unnecessary? She could have just stopped talking to Willow and left it at that but she went out of her way to make Willow feel terrible all the time. Even if she ended up being just a minor bully who said mean things in front of her friends, it would still be more believable than when her first appearance had been her absolutely digging into Willow when they were completely alone and thought no one was watching. It almost felt like Amity actually liked bullying Willow.
I do wish that we could have seen more of Amity and Willow actually patching up their friendship, since the bullying was how we were introduced to both of them in the first place. Instead it was just Willow saying the mindscape incident was a start but they âwerenât friends yetâ to them being back to being besties almost. You can use the whole âwell a lot of time passed between thenâ excuse but the problem is that we donât get to see that time passing, which is kind of a vital part for viewers. But donât get me wrong, this is one point that im entirely blaming Disney for tho, not the writers. Iâm hoping that if given the chance, the crew would have actually showed us more of that development.
I do think, for the most part, Amityâs redemption arc was done pretty well. Sheâs definitely a different person in S3 than she was in S1 and thereâs a clear line of events that happened that made her that way. Itâs really just that one aspect of her that I donât understand why it had to happen in the first place- the bullying. It didnât make sense to me. There was really no reason for it and it kinda just makes Amity seem like a genuinely bad person at the beginning. I hate to bring up Zukoâs redemption in ATLA cause I feel like everyone does that but it really is such a well written arc that its hard not to. With Zuko, we can see that he has a messed up goal but right off the bat, we know and can sort of sympathize with his reason for doing it. Heâs been banished from his home and the only way he can return and make his father proud is to capture the Avatar. We might not agree with it, but we can understand it. With Amity, we donât really understand why she was being a bully in the first place, even after finding out about her parents, and combined with the fact that we never got to see the resolving tension between her and her bully victim does make her redemption fall a little flat.
I LOVE Amity. Iâm glad she got redeemed and I do think she deserved it. I just wish it had been a little more fleshed out than it was. Even if they threw in a dumb reason for her turning to bullying, it would still have been better than no reason at all.
In my head, I've been justifying it as Amity trying to emulate her mother, which makes sense, but if that's the reason I feel like it wasn't as obvious as it should have been at the beginning. We don't even get introduced to Odalia until well beyond the point we're meant to start caring about Amity.

Being active in your own communities irl is fucking vital. But you can't bully someone into it, that doesn't help anyone. Instead what you can do is reach out. I'm speaking from experience that attending events (even if they're not big events) can be very scary alone, the less people you know, the scarier it can be. I still get overwhelmed at some places and bail pretty quickly (though with time, it's happening less and less). So I completely understand when people are nervous about attending events irl. It's important to reach out to these people, to make these experiences less overwhelming for them. If you see someone in an event (or anywhere actually, like school etc) who looks alone and uncomfortable, maybe reach out to them (politely) or try to include them in the conversation. You don't have to become besties, you might never interact with them again. But you will have helped them feel more welcome in that space.
And if you have IRL friends who don't go out much, chances are they do want to, they just might not know where to go or who to go with. I have a friend, who is a couple years younger than me and could be considered pretty "chronically online" and doesn't go out very much, so I try to invite him along when I go to exhibitions and other art events, and he's often very happy to go and we often end up having a really good time!! Because he's a cool and interesting person and, while I'm completely fine going places alone, it's often more fun with a friend by my side.
No offence but I feel like some people got a little too comfortable with telling people to touch grass and swung all the way round to just straight up shaming anyone who might have a less active social life than them to feel better about themselves. âShe should be at the clubâ was a really funny meme until people started acting like fucking middle school bullies towards people who donât go out with their friends a lot. All those drinking/drugs/sex milestone polls were fun to engage with until it became a wierd circlejerk making fun of people who havenât done those things before. People on twitter are once again dogpiling someone for wanting queer social spaces that donât revolve around alcohol or loud music and telling them itâs their own fault for not having friends.
Like I get that nightclubs and sex have strong ties to queer culture and are often the first targets in the hellscape of respectability politics. Itâs important we remember our roots and protect these spaces from conservative scrutiny. I mean that. They are important. But just on a surface level it seems like people are starting to see having an inactive social life as some kind of moral failing whichâŠitâs not. I feel like an insane person for feeling like I have to say this on the fucking queer autism website but like. You arenât inherently a bad person if you donât have friends. You arenât âfalling behindâ if you havenât had your first kiss in your 20s or never done drugs. The real world isnât a movie. And if you see someone who doesnât go out much and instinctually think âwow what a terminally online loser. I bet their social life sucks because theyâre a sheltered creep and not because of systemic barriers beyond their controlâ you need to have a long hard look at why you feel that way.
There are very real barriers that prevent isolated people from finding community and connection. Do you think youâre superior for being able to breach them? Time, money, sobriety, accessibility, none of those factors were a problem for you, so it shouldnât be for them, right? Right?
#literally just be kind and understanding to the people around you#chances are the person you're calling a âcringe lonely chronically online loserâ is just having a tough time connecting with others#also you have to attend and support different events and venues to cultivate variety and accessibility#clubs should not be the only places to go out#i rant#long post

Besties // self-para
The tracking spell worked better than she imagined. Calliope sensed a fit of deja vu as she nudged open the door of the apartment, previously utilizing the lessons her father taught about properly picking a lock and determining the spatial presence of occupants. Where Wilburn made up for his supernatural instincts, she lacked in the hearing gifted to those who were either vampires, or werewolves, in the case of her dear old pops. Magic is magic, however, and Gideon always had explained to the girl using her senses became vital as well as recognizing when other witches are in the vicinity.
The apartmentâs interior appeared completely lived in, ordinary, and other than what Calliope noticed were patched up plaster along one of the walls, this wasnât the lair of a dark witch capable of ruining so many lives to his very whim. Finding the place was easy, asking questions pointed the redhead in the correct direction and after containing her shock Alec was living with a hybrid, of course he was one of the first people she sought after her and Griffinâs arrival. None of it made sense, really. The twins were catapulted into the fresh beginnings of a war waged by the council and then they were transported to a realm they did not recognize instantly. The full moon of the vision she and Griff shared, as Calli understood, came to pass.
Calli circled the couch with a curious nature, a hand running along the back of the furniture as her attention was directed to a framed picture set on a side table. Alec taking the photo as he stood next to a brunette woman, the pair of them looking somewhat tense, but still smiling. Calliopeâs finger traced the brown wooden frame before eyes boring into the back of her neck sent the witchâs head slowly lifting. âI know youâre there.â
With his back pressed against the wall and one foot crossed over the other casually, Alec spent the last minute and a half unnoticed watching the young girl play explorer in his apartmentâs living room. It hadnât been long since the real him made his return after the spell Gideon and Ravenna performed went awry, enough to cause a mountain of problems. âFigured itâs only a matter of time before I saw you again, sweetheart.â In the flesh, and nowhere in a swirling black void holding him prisoner. They existed within the same physical plane, two witches, meeting by happenstance and connected by destiny. That is, at least for Alec, the way he saw it. âBet your little visions didnât prepare you for this one, huh?â
âActually, it sort of did. I just didnât realize what it meant.â Calliope set down the picture and turned around, pressing her hands to the tableâs edge and leaning back slightly, âI still donât really understand how this happened, how my brother and I are here. Killgrove looks the same, but thereâs an unsettling vibe I canât shake. To be fair, thatâs nothing new even where I came from.â Her gaze scanned the room with wariness, shoulder lifting in a small shrug, âNo one else but me can really sense it the way I do. Like us being here is ripping a hole in the fabric of reality. You...for example,â She paused, âYouâre supposed to be dead.â
Alec considered this for a paused beat, looking his fellow witch over with the same curiosity he possessed when they first met, and raised his shoulders in a shrug, âAnd youâre at the center of it.â Dead, well, that was new and nonetheless unsurprising. Entertaining the possibility of alternate timelines fit himself as the crazy person, yet, was he not at his core? Psychotic? âYou could potentially hold the power to break the universe, Calliope, in more ways than just one.â A spitball of a theory and accurate by witchy standards. âOn any given Sunday, I wouldnât hesitate making you a little more...agreeable and stealing that power for myself, but weâre besties, right? Weâre bonded.â
âI cannot deny the accuracy even if you are a bigger drama queen than my brother. Real besties.â Calliope shot forward the retort, nonetheless cognizant of how crucial she became in the grander scheme. Maybe the twinsâ appearance rattled reality, causing others to branch from the straight and narrow destiny wove carefully by design. âSeems like Iâm already breaking the universe, Alec.â She lifted her hands slowly, gaze dropping to the lines etched on her palms as the young witch examined them, âGriffin and I all but obliterated the timeline we came from barely skated by toeing the line on the councilâs shit list. Now Iâm left standing here and feeling like the monster.â
Alec folded his arms across his chest and rose an inquisitive eyebrow. A monster? He hunted humans for blood sport and she calls herself a monster for unintentionally splitting the world from which she resided in perfectly even halves? No wonder why Calliope and Valentina would become fast friends almost instantly when both women shared the same monster complex brought upon by their growing abilities. âOkay, Iâm going to regret this, but,â His eyes flickered to the ceiling briefly before he released a mock defeated sigh, âWhat happened after you left me?â
âLike you actually give a shit.â Calli nearly winced at the bite of her tone, feeling as if the phrase was more in line with Griffinâs personality while also establishing the slight distrust of Alec that nearly everyone warned her about in the first place. Her twin urged a cautious air after she first stumbled upon the imprisoned witch, Gideon questioned the validity of Alecâs appearance, never needing to explain what a master manipulator his former coven member was. The warnings werenât enough.
âDespite what literally every single person here thinks, I can, in fact...give a shit. A rare sighting, but only gifted to the select few.â Who and what he cared about was his choice, the aforementioned select few consisting of Valentina nowadays. Gaining his memory shrank his previous inner circle, as nonexistent as it was before, and now included a party of one. One person, thatâs all he could trust. âCalliope, look at me.â Alec rubbed his hands together and offered a shrug, âI caused a rife for you and you for me. What happened?â
Calli shook her head in hesitation, scrambling for the explanation she did not owe him. Swallow it down and forget, sage advice her father would be proud to adhere. Wilburn could write the instruction manual on avoiding the emotional weight of personal trauma, which wasn't entirely healthy for anyone least of all his children, but she can't take that route. âI knew the risks with the spell. Someone prone to losing control over her powers should've been accompanied by a chaperone. Someone like Ravenna or my mom, or Gideon." The girl paused, gaze landing on Alec who she could just tell resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "I wanted to find you again. You knew how my visions worked better than anyone, Alec, but it felt like every person in my family thought you either weren't real or playing some sick mind game."
Alec nodded once with complete agreement, "The manipulative asshole, an accurate assessment. You stumbled into a boundless void with a known psychopath capable of burning down cities on an average Saturday. Which," He hummed after a curt pause, "I realize is helping their case. Continue."
"I'm well aware. Do you know what happened instead, though?" Calliope rhetorically asked the question as she wrapped the leather cord containing the amulet allowing the twins to share their abilities around her index finger anxiously. "My migraines were growing worse and Griffin being the sacrificial brother decided he couldn't watch me suffer. He went looking for you with Ravenna's assistance and found Malcolm Winslow instead. My brother beat him to a pulp, but weird thing is," Calli pressed her lips together in perplexed thought, "Rav told me it looked like someone already got to him first."
"Wait," Alec's hand suddenly raised, recklessly interrupting the story's continuing path as the realization dawned on him. "Tell me...what are the chances your brother came upon Winslow after I happen to slip from my prison and used his body as a sledgehammer to wreck the shit out of his office? I mean, that'd be totally crazy and ruthless, right?" The man released a sarcastic snort. "That explains why Malcolm ranted like a fucking lunatic to our favorite little Chastain about encountering that twinsie of yours." Hilarious how the pieces clicked together in a sensible package with a neat bow adorning its top. Perhaps, Rav or Cassie would have believed the Alpha douche lost all sense after his head's been slammed around one too many times, yet it wasn't simple chalking up the coincidence to missing sanity when Alec corroborated the story with his Calliope sighting.
"Great, it's exactly what I knew would happen if we did that spell again. A bizarro jump to screw up the timelines." Calli pinched the bridge of her nose with frustration, mentally passing the reminder she kickstarted the trend. Finding Alec wasn't the intention when the spell began, but honestly, what else did she expect to find along her journey? A straight-forward answer? "Shit hit the fan when Griff arrived home. Apparently, justification to murder the sicko who attacked your mother makes you seen as the monster. And rather than my father thinking before he spoke, he lost his temper." The shame within her spread in waves and reverberated across the room toward the other witch, "I lost mine. There was a point where I wasn't certain if my anger mixed with Griffin's or I just...couldn't stand by in observation while he fell under such harsh scrutiny any longer, maybe both."
"We tried playing this perfect Brady Bunch family." Calliope continued as her dark eyes settled on Alec, who she has learned quickly didn't carry easily discernable body language. He wasn't looking bored by the interaction nor spinning its subject matter into a colossal joke. "All smiles, follow the rules, no larger spells that will place you on the council's radar, become the role model coven or suffer extermination. Griffin and I were both struggling under the expectations, but his abilities automatically pegged him an uncontrollable abomination according to public purview. I watched it destroy Griffin in every way a person could be destroyed. Now, they're gone." The statement passed her lips as a melancholic whisper while the day's past events came flooding back, sending the numbness away. "My brother and I singlehandedly killed our family."
In the rare instances the good Alec lost control of the reins, he would be the last to admit Valentina's influence already coursed through his soul and formed a new person nobody can recognize. There were developing soft spots where there weren't before, an ability to make a deep connection and actually, god forbid...sympathize. Alec's head slowly canted to the side as he listened, placing two and two together that the council held a stronger authority than what he knew from his own timeline. "You think you're the reason they came after you?" He asked after a moment, "Okay, look, sweetheart, and this is coming from someone who's killed a lot of people," Alec crossed the expanse of the living room to close their distance with a sigh, "You're not responsible for their deaths. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but I think the council were always gunning for putting an end to your family. They just," How can he put this? "Needed the excuse."
Calliope could appreciate the effort the older witch placed forward in an attempt to make her feel better, she did, but she wouldn't admit he initiated a perfectly valid argument. The Thornton coven's power ran blood deep spanning countless generations and none were stronger than the power of twins. Calli understood how unstable she and Griffin's abilities are alone, but together? They're unstoppable, dangerous, even, dangerous enough that the siblings could eradicate the council if they desired. "Now you're in the business of giving advice? That's new."
"Honestly, it's kind of draining." Alec sarcastically quipped without missing so much as a beat. "Be as that may, Callikins, every council member's worst nightmare is fear. Their so-called laws written into the fabric of your Killgrove were there to keep you subdued. If I know anything about your coven whether it be from my timeline or yours," The sentence in itself bewildering and fascinating at once, "You cannot tell me you wouldn't have snatched the opportunity to burn them all for your freedom. Any witch playing the involuntary submissive role would, but a dark one like you and me? It calls to us." Alec's lips twitched on the cusp of a smirk, the trademark mischievous glint in his eye triumphantly returning, "And I'll tell you why, love. There is absolutely nothing that would stop us from protecting the ones we care about, even if it meant torching the earth our enemies walk on."
Is she hallucinating or was he trying to manipulate her? Or was there a seed of truth to his preconceived notions as if Alec knew the redheaded witch like the back of his hand? "For the record," Calli pointed her index finger at him, "I'm not the type of person who wishes ill will towards someone. Maybe we're alike in certain aspects, but don't fool yourself into believing I would stoop to your level of treachery because I am most definitely my mother's daughter. However..." The sentence trailed as she folded her arms across her chest, "If anyone makes a move against my family, one hair out of place or even breathes in their direction, I will strike them down in any amount of suffering torment my magic allows. So, yes, perhaps that darkness you speak of does call to me, I mean, it's what we do to keep our blind spots close." Calliope nudged her head in the photo frame's direction, a slow smile touching her lips, "Like the woman. Your hybrid."
Alec couldn't exactly take what the girl said at proper face value, she was so quick to deny how similar the two witches were, but it was for argument's sake that he allowed her wallowing denial. If Calliope was as much as her mother's daughter as she claims, he could have easily pointed out the fact Cassie slaughtered her coven for what they did to her twin sister. Push came to shove and the little witch lost her twin brother Griffin, she would find herself succumbing to dark magic completely. Even in his now morally gray state, he couldn't contain satisfaction if he held that mirror in front of the redhead's face and became the reason she indulged her darker impulses. It seemed Calliope's mind shifted from depressing chat to a light-hearted conversation, however, mentioning Tina walked a very fine line into mushy territory. "Valentina. My hybrid." Alec scoffed at the accurate name. His, indeed. "Oh, sweetheart, you are such a tease."
"I'm the tease now?" Calliope released a hum and reached around behind her, retrieving the photo frame from the table and gripping both sides of it as she tilted the object left to right in front of Alec's face in a playful fashion, "I'm not the one who's all sprung over for his itty bitty baby crush, mister steal-your-girl."
"Hey." Alec shot out a hand and plucked the photo from her grasp, stealing a singular glance at his goody two shoes self and Valentina that had been taken before his release. He could still feel him somewhere, merged together with the previously imprisoned half. "Who says I'm sprung over? Maybe I'm the one who has her wrapped around my finger."
"Or maybe she's the one who has you wrapped around hers." Calliope raised her index finger the moment she sensed the man was seconds from opening his mouth and objecting. A tense silence settled between them, Alec shooting the younger girl a narrow glare and Calli's brows raising in a dare it appeared he wasn't inclined to steal. "You cannot tell me I'm wrong, Romeo." Calliope gently poked him in the stomach and moved around the couch before taking a seat, making herself quite at home for something told her this isn't the only time she would be within these walls. "What's the story?"
Alec pressed a palm to his abdomen and childishly grumbled his annoyance at her insistence. Someone like Calliope should be running away from him, why wasn't she cowering? Instead, he was now permanently chained to a tiny ginger who suddenly became an expert in all the methods to push his buttons. Well...you sink swimming against the tidal current. "From the details I can piece together, the other guy met her after I was imprisoned. They really became the bestest friendy-wends when she was turned, playing house, being their own little family, which I didn't think he could grow more nauseating." He wretched at the notion, bringing the frame still in his hand with him as he planted himself in a chair across from Calliope. "The little shit was starting to catch the feelings and my brief appearances weren't making things easier for both of us. One of my escapes happened around Tina. Shocking, but I pissed her off and she literally beat my mysterious life story out of me. We...connected." Oh, they connected on more than that singular event. "Malcolm tormented her on a level even I can appreciate had it been anyone else but her, we both had something similar in common."
His eyes shifted on the photo, his finger tracing Valentina's outline. "Good boy Alec confessing his feelings crossed some wires, blurred the lines. I escaped again and didn't hesitate starting a war with Malcolm. Anything that other side felt for Valentina was...wrapping its dark tendrils around me during the mind prison stint. So, the more I spent thinking about her," He placed the picture on the side table, "the more I wanted her."
Calliope settled in for the story, merely guessing that the answer to her question wasn't uncomplicated. Alec didn't correspond and ally himself with someone very easily, much less a former werewolf from the Winslow pack if the horror stories from her timeline were any indication. The Alpha tormented his members viciously, dolling out the abuse from every direction and spreading the fear of god into those who might have gathered a whisper of courage to oppose him. Alec found a kindred spirit with Tina through shared years' worth of torment and suffering. Was she wrong in the assumption the witch's good side developing feelings transferred to the supposed bad part when the cage shattered? "You love her."
Alec was swift to protest the contrary, absolute determination marring his features, "Listen, I don't-"
"Alec." Calliope silenced any argumentative denial he would have offered to block out the harsh reality with a warning note to her tone. "I know you present yourself as this big bad villain who's too evil to ever possess something somebody once forced you to believe is a weakness, but you essentially admitted it seconds ago." The young woman slowly leaned forward, "The line between you and the other guy blurred. You took on an alpha as a way of protecting her, somewhat easy to do as a witch if my brother's time with Malcolm proved anything, but you chose to do it in a selfless act for someone else." Calli released a sigh, "Listen, I know it's difficult to admit when you feel like you've been burned by even showing a scrap of emotion, but it's not weakness."
Alec pushed himself to his feet with an agitated groan, wanting nothing but to remove his presence from this entire conversation and forget about the complicated relationship with Calliope completely. She saw right through him, no matter the amount of teasing she endured at his hands, the girl ignored all of the stories she has heard about him and shattered every single barrier he spent centuries building. Just as Valentina accomplished. "It is weakness. If the Malcolm's and the council's of the world knew how close I held her, what stops any of them from punishing me for the crimes I commit when my execution's far overdue, huh? Hit where it really fucking hurts?" He ground out the response. "I don't deserve her."
"Is that what you really believe?" Calliope could give him the credit for his stoicism, but his façade was beginning to crack, she didn't require abilities to see what was in the man's soul. "This is only the second time we've met, Alec, but I feel like I know you better than I respectfully should. It's never been about what you do or don't deserve. Even I understand relationships aren't simple. Love," Calli threaded her fingers together and sighed softly, "isn't simple. The fact you care for her and she cares for you is."
"No, we're not doing this." Alec turned around and widened the space between him and Calliope, feeling the loss of his patience growing stronger. "You don't get to come here, sweetheart, preaching the same song and dance spiel I've had to endure from the former weakling intruder who took my body for a fucking joyride. My emotions, how sparse they might be, aren't wished into existence for you to analyze."
"I'm not trying to analyze you. I'm trying to help you like a good friend does." Calli was quick to point out. "You're running from something, aren't you?"
"Calliope, don't." The simmering wrath lacing his voice practically screamed at the girl to leave well enough alone.
Calli knew when to keep her mouth closed, hold her tongue, refrain from poking the bear, as her mother instructed since an early age. The council had disapproved of rocking the boat and free expression, but she was no longer in her timeline, and her parents...dead. So, she stole a page from her father's book and sought the answers with unrelenting perseverance. "What are you so afraid of?"
"Alright, fine, you want me to say it?" Alec spun on his heel and released the maddening thunderstorm swirling above their heads. Two dark witches standing in the eye of a hurricane he created. He couldn't handle it anymore. "I love her." The confession left the man raw, exhausted, confused as he was absolute. "Are you fucking happy?"
"Are you?" The statement tumbled past her lips and caught them both by surprise at the candor. There was a painfully awkward pause, Alec grappling his stunned silence and Calliope with her contemplative one. It was the latter who finally shattered it. "I don't think you've been happy for a very long time, Alec."
He chuckled sans the humor and playful mischievousness injected within his demeanor. No, he never has been happy. Wouldn't that be nice? "You should go, Callikins." Alec spoke after a minute. "Before your brother shows up here and lights my ass on fire."
"Right. I'm certain he'll have worse planned." With a curt nod of her head in agreement, Calliope rose from the couch and passed the older man before reaching the door. This day hadn't gone as anticipated the same way the conversation didn't, the twins were still thrust in a new scenario they would face together, and people who were dead from where she heralded were alive and kicking. New allies, new territory, a brand new Killgrove.
Any optimism Calliope adopted from the time spent with Alec imploded the second her hand wrapped around the doorknob. A piercing migraine squeezed the girl's head maliciously as the tell-tale sign of a vision clouded her gaze. She couldn't understand what she was peering at in the beginning, a horrifying sight, bodies strewn everywhere. Blood splattered the walls of what appeared to be a bar of some kind. A murder spree, a vicious game played by a psychopath relishing the kill. The images suddenly shifted into focus long enough for Calli's mind to latch on two faces quite familiar for her. Alec Merriman and her brother Griffin, both drenched in the same scarlet red liquid covering the heart in Alec's hand. Two were playing this game, a competition, an activity to pass the time. Griff's expression read boredom, as if uninterested by his best friend's dramatics. Best friends.
The vision's end sent Calliope's hand flying to the doorframe as she pressed her weight against it from the sheer force, her head snapping in Alec's direction with a fear coating her facial features that the other knew had not been there before. A fear of him. She watched the confusion furrow his brow as soon as their gazes locked and then...recognition. Alec knew she saw something that painted him in a gruesome light. He even sensed it, her uncertainty and uneasiness, neither knew if what Calli witnessed would happen in their future or another timeline. Maybe it would not happen at all.
Or perhaps, as Calliope finally made her willing exit, nothing was for certain. Every vision paved a road by choices, every vision came true one way or another.
She hasn't been wrong so far.
