My first car was a '64 Beetle, white like the one in this video. I was 15 years old and Pops let me drive it to school without a license until it was stolen (and never recovered); a few weeks later I got my license but had no car, lol. My second-to-last car was a 2001 Space Odyssey Silver Beetle; I drove that for 14 years and over 100,000 miles until the engine wouldn't start no more. Kinda sad to see it go... Geçirdiği bir kaza sonucu beyninde hipertimestik sendromu ortaya çıkan Amos Decker serisinin ikinci kitabıdır.  Serinin ilk kitabı olan 'Unutamayan Adam' romanıyla bu roman birbirine çok benzerlik gösteriyor. Yazarın başlardaki olay örgüsü ilk romandaki ile hemen hemen aynı. Bundan faklı olarak olaylara çokça gizem, bilinmemezlik ve kanıtlardan yoksunluk işlenmiş. Çoğu kısmın zorlama olduğunu düşünülse de Amos'un hiçbir şeyi unutmaması ve parçaları birbirine eşlemesi ile bu zorlama insanı çok rahatsız etmiyor. Romanın orta kısmında doğru daha önce okumuş olduğum başka bir roman ile benzerlik gösterebileceği fark ettim. Buna rağmen roman kendini okutturuyor. Sürükleyiciliğinden taviz vermiyor. Ama şu da bir gerçek ki eskiden okuduğum Baldacci romanları gibi değildi. O romanları daha çok seviyordum. Baldacci genelde kötü adamlardan romanlarında sıkça bahseder. Bu romanda çok az bahsetmiş. Bu da dikkat edilmesi gereken bir nokta.  Baldacci'nin bir özelliği ise; ekipte hiç bir üyeyi kolay kolay öldürmüyor. Tüm ekip üyeleri küçük sıyrıklar ile atlatıyorlar.
