再见, 我的国王, or See You My King as the official merch has it in English (above is a poster from Tapas), is a Chinese fantasy boy's love comic series/manhua by Wen Yuan. It's available in Chinese through the Kuaikan app (not the browser store), where it updates on Saturdays, and is at episode 92 as of posting. It's also available in English on Tapas and Tappytoon, in Thai on Wecomics, in Japanese on various storefronts, in Russian, in Spanish through Monogatari Novels, and potentially in French.

Tapas summary: "When Zhang Li’s beloved stone statue crumbles before his eyes, he barely has time to mourn before being transported to the long-lost ancient civilization of Ebiz. There, he reunites with his “Rocky,” only this time, it’s not the tearful fool Zhang Li once knew, but a cold and indifferent tyrant. In this enigmatic realm filled with conspiracies and betrayal, Zhang Li seeks to uncover the true face of this “tyrant,” and melt his stone heart once more."

Tappytoon summary: "When Zhang Li left for a trip to the Ebiz ruins, he didn’t expect to bring back company, especially not a man made of stone! Though Li grows fond of the living statue, their time together doesn’t last long, as “Rocky” soon crumbles before Li’s eyes. Wishing for a miracle, Li suddenly finds himself in Ebiz far back in the past and reunites with Rocky. However, his companion is no longer a statue but rather the nation’s king, who doesn’t recognize Li at all and imprisons him! How will Li escape this predicament and get his beloved back?"

Essentially a Chinese medical student with an interest in Ancient Egypt Ebiz gets involved with a mysterious living statue, and later gets sent back to the past to be with the man the statue is seemingly based on. It's not really Egypt but it references things at times, particularly in regard to Greece and Rome's influence on Egyptian culture and modern perception of ancient Egypt. But it veers a lot more into fantasy than not, even outside the time travel and other magic.

There doesn't seem to be an uncensored version because it's manhua (though there is very obvious and sometimes humorous censoring in the comic, in both Chinese and English, usually of curse words and injuries, and the Chinese physical release heavily censors the manhua even further, while the Spanish physical release seemingly does not). It has some very dark themes and plots, though it often veers towards fluff with angst.

Physical Releases

Volumes 1-2 have also been released as a physical release in Chinese, so hopefully maybe another English language publisher will pick it up for a physical and/or ebook release (Seven Seas, Netcomics, and Yen Press have all done physical releases of comics released on Tappytoon, and a variety of publishers have done physical releases of Tapas comics), giving a hopefully better translator and editing team a shot. Volume 3 went up for pre-order on 9 November 2024.

There's also a physical release in Russian and Spanish and potentially one in French.

Spanish Translation

Volume 1 is available in Spanish from Monogatari Novels, translated by Marina López-Duarte Bandini, where it's known as Adiós, rey mío, or Bye my king.

According to Monogatari Novels' page (before it went down, anyway), it will be 5 volumes, which possibly indicates the volume length of season 1.

Thai Translation

The series is available in Thai on Wecomics and updates on Mondays. It's currently 34 episodes behind the Chinese. It's also available through Mareads, Readawrite, and Fictionlog.

Japanese Translation

The series is available in Japanese as さよならまたね、僕の王 in through b-boy, and can be found on CMOA, where it releases on Wednesdays. It's currently 50 episodes behind the Chinese. It's also available on Renta and Mecha Comic.

Russian Translation

The series is available in Russian print as До встречи, мой король.

Merch

There's also a ton of merch for this that releases quite steadily, and there are a lot of proxies for it.
