The Twelve Kingdoms new English novel translation starting July 2025

Seven Seas is doing a new English translation of The Twelve Kingdoms novels!

The translation is by Kim Morrissy/frog_kun, with editing by Callum May/CanipaShow. According to frog_kun, it's 15 volumes long.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint English novel translation will be getting an audiobook release

The English audiobook adaptation of volume 1 should release on 22 July 2025, same as the text version of volume 1 (Kobo has it the day after, but it also has the text volume as coming out a day early). More info on the series here.

Summary:

This is a standalone novella. I contacted the publisher, and they said it will be sold as an ebook as well (at least in the US and Canada), but didn't say when.

The Tomb of Dragons by Katherine Addison to release on 11 March 2025

The end of Sarah Monette/Katherine Addison's The Cemeteries of Amalo trilogy, a spin-off of The Goblin Emperor (together known as The Chronicles of Osreth) has been listed as releasing on 11 March 2025, with cover art by Sachin Teng, design by Esther Kim, and there's now a summary:

Unlike the previously unsuccessful crowdfunding physical release, this seems to just be on sale.

The series is 35 volumes in ebooks, so I'm not sure if this is a reformatted version or it's just the first 5 volumes, with more to come. I would imagine it's the latter. All the (current) ebooks in Korean are available on multiple sites, including Ridibooks. More info on the series here.

Ize updated the English translation of the novel preview "cover" on certain storefronts online (versus the default temporary covers most sites use for novels that have no official cover yet). This isn't an official cover, it's just different than the regular default that was there. It's just using the font for the title that they use for their release of the manhwa. So probably it'll be the same font? We'll see.

They're also releasing it as an audiobook on the same day!
