Random flossing tips from your local weirdo :)

If you haven't floiosed in ages, do just one or two teeth, after brushing, then smell the floss. I'm not kidding. The stench of DEATH that you'll get from that floss will make you want to clean them teef much more thoroughly

If you have trouble getting motivated, say to yourself "okay I'll just do Speed Mode, see if I can floss all my teeth in 1 minute" or the length of a song or something. Helps bypass the ADHD :)

A waterpik in the shower helps me remember to do SOMETHING good for my teeth. Plus warm water feels way better than cold for water flossing

I hated the idea of winding dirty floss around my finger as I glossed. So instead, I wipe my floss on a tissue as I go. Find a way that works for you!

Writer's Block - Help!

I posted this on r/writers but I'm reposting here:

Perhaps it's my ADHD, but I'm 38 chapters into a 45 chapter Suicide Squad fanfiction and I've lost my 'steam', so to speak. I had so many ideas for this fanfiction when the inspiration came to me and now my head is just empty. I'm having the following issues:

An idea pops into my head, and as soon as I touch my keyboard, it's gone with the wind and never returns.

I think I've dug a metaphorical hole for myself by taking the story in a slightly different direction than I originally planned to and now I'm trying to crawl my way back out with no idea of where to begin.

I'm literally about to be homeless at the end of the month, I'm having issues with my family, I'm butting heads with my shitty employer who promised me shifts and is instead giving them to my shitty coworker, and on top of it all I'm responsible for an elderly, arthritic dog and Savannah Monitor that no one can take in temporarily for me. The dozens and dozens of jobs I've applied to (I've thrown my resume everywhere, kind of like the plague) have not contacted me at all in the past 4 months. All of this makes me feel incredibly suffocated, overwhelmed and pressured and I feel like it's all eating me alive day to day. That pressure is carrying over into my writing and every day that I can't write, I am stressed out and disappointed in myself and I feel like a failure. Crazy, right?

(Kind of an addition to # 3's point) My trauma, mental illness, personal struggles and relationships with people used to fuel my inspiration for my fanfiction (my main character is an anti-hero with a shitty past who fights for the underdog, so to speak), but now it's all killing my motivation to write and I think it's causing the blockage.

Any suggestions? All I want to do is write because it's the one thing that calms me and centers me and I'm twice as frustrated and stressed out. The one thing that I still enjoy is eluding me.

On another note, I'm stumped when it comes to fight scenes. I had a lot in mind, and now I have no idea what to do. I'm trying to write a scene for a hero vs. anti-hero battle and I'm struggling terribly with it. Then again (IMO) Batman, Robin and Nightwing are kind of douchey with their tactics and I find them beyond abusive. I only ever liked Batman for the villains - I despise the Bat-Family, but Alfred's cool. Bring on the hate, I'm ready!

Any and all suggestions/tips are greatly appreciated. Happy Monday (even though Mondays generally suck).

I hope you can help me. I want to find photos of people to get a better idea of what some of my OriginalCharacters should look like. There are several of whom that are POC, and I was wondering if you knew of a good place that had photos of such people that were not just racial stereotypes. I tried to look on DeviantArt, but then I feel awkward about using keywords like 'black', and 'POC' turned up nothing. Thanks in advance!
