Screen-printed t-shirt design!! I'm VERY excited for these tees!! You have no idea! The text and blood is going to be sparkly, it's going to be GREAT.
Making small runs of screen printed tees is a new thing for me... I'm hoping they go well so I can make a couple new designs every few months? Q_Q I'd like to have some more big fancy items on my con table next year!! I'm going with a local screenprinter and shirt brand to be sure the quality will be good! But man the expense.
Sometimes you have to break out and do something new to get out of a slump (and lord knows this year has been bad...for just so many reasons) so here's me doing my best. ^^
You can preorder a shirt at my shop if you're super keen! But I'll also be bringing them to Supanova Brisbane! And I'll have preorders available at Tails of Terror too. I should have the shirts in hand by Nov 10th so if you wanna wait to see how they turn out, by all means... I will be posting nice photos asap!!

Not the best photos, but look who flew in from the Charicific Valley! He came quick!
My question to Build-A-Bear after receiving my charizard is, did you use a giant for the stock photos? I'm a little over 5 feet tall and he's about as big as my torso, but in the photo with the guy holding him he looks barely bigger than a normal sized BaB 🤣 Maybe they used someone really tall so people would be surprised at how big charizard actually is? If that was the goal, it worked! I still feel like he was a little overpriced but like, normal BaB overpriced.
The quality of the plush is very nice. The claws are flat but that's expected, even the Pokémon Center doesn't generally do 3D claws on plush. The whole plush is minky except the claws, the face is shaped really nicely and the wings have what feels like plastic inside them so they stand up well. It's definitely an accurate Charizard plush, the proportions of the wings and tail and chunky legs are good.
The accessories are cute, the hat is a thick material that reminds me of a sports jersey or something? Not vinyl, so no worries about peeling. The trim is nice and fuzzy. The fit could be better but it's not too hard to get on. The scarf is just t-shirt material sewn together, and the logo is screenprinted on. So it might crack with age. A little cheap, but that's par for the course with BaB's clothing these days. It looks really cute on him though!

Tumblr sweatpants review
8/10 overall rating
Price: $55
Tumblr media
Image ID: black Tumblr sweatpants laid flat on a beige carpet.
Measurements
First things first: the measurements on the size chart are confusing and not super helpful. I got the 3XL (the largest size) to be safe and I'm very glad I did. This ended up being my size, though I usually can wear a 2XL in other brands. Here is a full breakdown of the pant measurements, so you can judge them for yourself. All are measured flat then doubled where applicable.
Waistband relaxed = 42 1/2in (108cm)
Waistband stretched = 52in (132 cm)
Hip = 53in (134.5cm)
Upper thigh (at crotch level) = 31 1/2in (80cm)
Calf (10 inches above bottom hem) = 17in (43cm)
Ankle = 14in (35.5cm)
Length along outseam = 46 1/2in (118cm)
Inseam = 31 1/1in (80cm)
Pocket depth = 11 3/4in (30cm) from waistband, roughly 3 1/4in (8cm) from bottom of the opening. Curved, so hard to measure.
The waistband has a bit of stretch thanks to the elastic in it, but not much. There is a functional drawstring to tighten. The material itself has minor stretch, maybe about as much as a cotton t-shirt. The ankle cuff seam has *zero* stretch. The legs are tapered in a fairly slim cut.
The legs ended up being too long for me, so I'll have to roll up the cuffs or recuff them entirely.
The sizing chart at the time of my ordering listed the waist measurement of the 3XL at 21 1/4 and the inseam at 30 3/4. There was no indication if that waist measurement was flat, doubled, anything.
Material, Construction, and Comfort
There are no material content, washing instructions, or manufacturer origin tags inside the pants. The site lists the material as "7.8-ounce, 50/50 cotton/poly fleece, Elastic, self-fabric waistband and self-fabric cuffs." This matches what I see without doing a burn test. The outer material has a smooth, slightly ribbed finish that does look and feel like a heavier t-shirt material. The inside is a fluffy poly fleece.
All seams are fully sealed in surge stitching, with a few trailing tails at joins. The drawstring is a woven flat cord. The elastic is 1 1/2in flat elastic, stitched down on top and bottom. The elastic and drawstring are both anchored at the center back, so the drawstring is not continuous and cannot be pulled out. Both are contained within the channel of the waistband, so no elastic pressing directly to the skin.
The tumblr logo is screenprinted on the left leg. It is warm and flexible, so I believe it will serve my sweatpantsy needs. I have not yet washed them, so I cannot say how they'll hold up over time.
As long as you get the right size, there should be plenty of ease for movement. If you want a more relaxed fit, maybe go a size up so long as the size range allows you to.
Overall, I'm pleased with these and do no regret buying them. The pockets are nice and deep, the pants are comfy, and they'll keep my legs warm. The quality and construction are pretty good; if you told me these were from a mid-tier department store like JcPenney or Kohls, or that they were from an athletics brand, I would believe you. I think this is reflected in the price. I'm not a huge fan of tapered legs and the pants only just fit comfortably where I prefer a much more relaxed fit.
I would love if Tumblr offered other styles and they should definitely talk to their manufacturer about increasing the size range into truly plus sized options, as I consider myself on the lower end of plus size and only fit their largest size.
@staff Please put the option for reviews on your shop page!

For the record I hate smarmy new Grandma; her sassy eyebrow and smirk can go straight to fiery ovens of cookie hell. There was no good reason to change her expression from one of joyful grandma-ness to… this
But also, prev is correct. (In my experience,) a lot of choices in modern branding redesigns are informed by making the logo versatile for a variety of decoration/printing/manufacturing methods.
A complex raster logo can limit you to only full-color print methods, which may be more expensive than limited-color methods. Depending on how crisp the original artwork was, or how good the quality is on the best copy that anyone in the company bothered to keep (cough), you will also have a hard limit on how large you can print a raster logo before it starts to look like dogshit. So, if you want to print your logo on a giant banner for your booth at Cookie-Con, but nobody bothered to keep a high-res image of your company’s 4” hand-painted logo from 1973, you may be SOL.
Conversely, a vector logo can be reproduced at any size. If it can be reduced down to a few flat, simple colors, you can make things like enamel pins, or you can embroider it. You can screenprint it on a shirt at a low cost. A really streamlined logo that can be represented with just one single color can be etched or engraved or embossed or debossed, if you’re looking to hand out snazzy padfolios at your next shareholder’s meeting or whatever
This is not a values judgment in favor of vector logos. Just saying, the trend toward simpler flatter logos can certainly be understood through the lens of any company’s carnal desire to saturate every available surface in the world with their brand!

(Don't you, forget) About me
I’d introduce myself as Ellie Gratrick, although that would be a lie. My Sunday name, as my mother says, is Eleanor but I’ve honestly hated it since becoming conscious around 3 or 4.  Don't get me started about some of the misspellings of Gratrick! (Gay-trick is my personal favourite).
I am a worrier. I think it’s something that comes with this ability to create, an anxiety that nothing is good enough. My brain is like the underground at rush hour, so many thoughts are packed in there and keep piling in and overfilling creating so much noise, sometimes I wish it would just be an empty carriage. (especially when I’m trying to sleep). It’s a blessing and a curse, I love some of the ideas I come up with but other-times I feel like the shittest person ever. (This isn’t a cry for help!)
What calms me as well is visiting galleries. At home, in Wakefield (nr Leeds, people are never sure) we are lucky to have a lot of galleries nearby. The Hepworth is one I always enjoy. A exhibition I saw recently was of David Hockey and Alan Davie’s early works. https://hepworthwakefield.org/whats-on/we-two-boys-early-works-by-alan-davie-david-hockney/ . You can feel the energy and vibrancy of the strokes splashing across the canvases. Being from Leeds there are a large number of illustrators working there which I often come across at art fairs and bars and try resist the temptation to buy all their work. I think this is something I could see myself doing to try support myself with my art before becoming fully freelance. Molly Pukes (https://www.instagram.com/mollypukes/?hl=en) does a lot of comics, that often become a visual diary. Working in this way also helps me process my feelings and get them out into the world. Seeing her work in these fairs gives me the motivation that people out there do want it! I’ve found Bobbie Rae (https://www.instagram.com/bearcubs/?hl=en  ) work in an art shop in Leeds, Colour May Vary https://coloursmayvary.com which stocks a lot of independent publications. She  uses her illustrations to spread positivity and affirmations often about self love and accepting yourself using bright colours and squishy non conventional bodies. She applies these to all sorts of media such as clothing, bags, stickers, publications in order to create a plethora of merchandise to sell. I would like to go into something similar putting my work into lots of avenues but still retaining my own personal voice. Another thing I’ve found interesting in the Colours May Vary shop is the array of magazines. I’m often drawn to the Anorak and Dot kids magazine that features bold and bright colours and characters. https://anorakmagazine.com/collections/all . I would be interested in my illustrations being used in an editorial sense like this as it doesn’t seem too restrictive and work I’ve seen is full of energy and life, no holds barred.
This love of narrative means a lot of the time while drawing I’ll be watching cartoon series or an animated film found. One series I’m watching now is on Cartoon Network called Summer Camp Island. I absolutely love Julia Pott’s character design- http://www.juliapott.com .  Characters, like the monsters, remain mystical but you still empathise as a viewer. I try to bring elements of these animation styles to my own work, creating characters that aren’t bound my reality or form. Her illustrations also retain this same empathy and joy often featuring characters and using humour.
I’m also drawn to Studio Ghibli characters for these same qualities. Characters like the Radish spirit in Spirited Away don’t talk but are animated with subtle body language and use of facial expression, which as a viewer mean you still follow the narrative. https://www.studioghibli.com.au/spiritedaway/ . In a lot of my narrative work I try to utilise this lack of text and communicate through the character instead.
As well as animation, 2d illustrations such as graphic novels are fun to read. A few of my favourites right now are Coyote Dog girl http://www.lisahanawalt.com/coyote-doggirl, Pantheon https://nobrow.net/shop/pantheon/? and Retrograde orbit. https://www.waterstones.com/author/kristyna-baczynski/1676440. Two out of three of these contain quite raw and personal themes of not belonging, loneliness and sexual assault using characters to put these ideas across. I think more personal stories appeal to people as it becomes somewhat relatable even if it is a half dog half coyote girl, there is a sense of empathy created. What I want for my work is this relatability and become more vulnerable with my work, show my feelings since it’s not so easy to express these with words.  I also want to create my own full graphic novel in the future possibly published by Nobrow. I find myself looking at a lot of their books as they seem to represent fresh and unique talent. Hopefully I will have the stability as well to work as a freelancer, maybe in a collective with some of my friends I have made on this course. We’ve talked about making our own clothing collection in the future, I think screenprinting on t-shirts or bags could be really fun!
In light of the economy and how the arts are being treated:
 I hate tories.
The end.

Bro, I regret not buying your Blackpink shirt for the concert. The shirts they had were overpriced garbage and I couldn't be bothered to buy one...
OH MAN. I AM SO SORRY.
Let this be a friendly warning to Blinks everywhere, especially the ones about to see Blackpink! concert merch is poorly screenprinted and priced with a 500% markup! You can get my super cute BOOMBAYAH shirt (pictured below) for just $19!!!!
Tumblr media
But in all seriousness, concert merch is PURE PROFIT and the quality is always garbage. Do you see what BigHit is charging on their website? 40 bucks for shirts, 80 bucks for hoodies??? And I guarantee you the screenprinting is going to crack after 3 washes because of the process used in mass-producing goods. Shop small, my dudes.

Meet Your New Favorite Artist: Charmaine Olivia
The first thing you notice is color. Pale California noon light bleeds through a window off screen and catches the tawny in artist Charmaine Olivia’s bright eyes as we sit down to FaceTime. Her hair is a canvas within its own right; the whole process of turning it into a blue rainbow stands among her projects as a highlight on her Instagram. She cozies up in a purple sweater, her geometric tattoo peeking out from beneath its cuff and trailing down her right hand as she cradles a peppermint tea. We joke about how she’s chilly in California while I’m battling winter in Connecticut.
“I shouldn’t really complain, then,” she says, a laugh grazing the edge of her voice. As both our conversation and her artwork show, her mindfulness and optimistic perspective is entirely on brand.
At just 30 years old, Olivia has a slew of accomplishments. Her vibrant paintings have led to collaborations with companies like Vans, Urban Outfitters, Nylon Magazine, Hallmark, and more. In 2011, Lady Gaga selected her in an Etsy contest to do a poster for the Born this Way album. (The poster featured Olivia’s print, “Headache,” a whimsical portrait of a woman with flowing white locks and antlers.) She’s been working professionally since the age of 17, with multiple exhibitions across the country—and even a show in Australia—under her belt. Her “Sundrenched” mural currently stands as a splash of color among the cement greys of Sacramento. She even expanded into clothing, screenprinting her art on t-shirts and sweatshirts with the help of her team and packaging the orders herself. And she’s just getting started.
Olivia is currently preparing for her Los Angeles show in April, which has already generated a demand for tickets from over 1,800 people, according to her producer. With fans from around the world traveling to see her work, she is in a creative binge.
“I feel like I’m painting nonstop,” she says. “It’s been a while since I had an art studio. I’m excited to dive back into my art.”
In a lot of ways, Olivia is exactly what you’d expect an artist to be. The product of hippie parents and Southern California living, Olivia has a gracious and warm presence. She picked up oil paints at seven years old and loved nurturing her creativity.  After high school, Olivia shirked the typical route of college—art school or otherwise—in favor of self-taught freedom. She gained a foothold in the art world by building a following on the website DeviantArt and selling her work. Her fearlessness in following her own path has served her career well, as her pieces play upon her self-exploration.
“I always did art because art helped me find myself,” Olivia says in a Q&A Facebook video accompanying the hashtags #realtalk and #arttherapy. “Art was really my savior. The more I did it, the more I kept understanding myself. And I would post it online and people liked it and [wanted] to buy it, and it really evolved organically into being my career.”
In other ways, she subverts expectations. She often notes that she’s shy, which surprises me given the fact that creative career fields are ultimately dependent upon attention and exposure. But she explains that art becomes a vehicle for expressing her voice.
“A lot of my paintings are a version of me,” she says. “I can use [art] as a kind of mirror and imagine myself in these magical rainbow worlds. Art helps me find a confidence and when I’m really in it, I can work through so many different emotions and ways of being.”
Olivia’s signature style involves the female form and, often, some element of nature. The stars became her muse for her upcoming show after she moved to the countryside in Rainbow, California and gained a breathtaking view of the night sky. The women she paints are described by Complex as “Eerie, gorgeous, ethereal,” and she’s inspired by a range of things—friends, models, the process of sifting through her own emotions, archeology, mythology and mysticism, to name a few. She tells me that she’d definitely be an archeologist if she wasn’t an artist because there’s a certain magic about uncovering the ancient worlds.
“I use my art now as a way to explore the past but also the future because I’m very passionate about connecting with the world and making a change for the better,” Olivia says. “I guess when I look at these ancient civilizations, the stories they told, and the mythology...I think those gods and goddesses are the idealized versions of ourselves. I like to imagine, what would be the ideal version of someone now? What are these qualities we glorified in the past and how can we pull them into ourselves now? That’s what I explore in the paintings.”
Ultimately, she wants to highlight the beauty in the world. Art and social responsibility are undoubtedly always in conversation with one another, and in the current tumultuous political landscape, Olivia believes her calling is to connect with a more fundamental level of humanity.
“Part of what motivates me is the good in the world. I want to highlight what we want to fight for and what we want to protect. I want to connect with a deeper consciousness that isn’t tied to any one country or political view [but rather, to] an understanding that we have to work together.” She lights up as she speaks, a passionate determination clear in her expressive hand gestures. “I don’t know how art can do that yet, I’m still figuring that out. But when I create something and other people connect with that on an emotional level, I’m hoping it will naturally help in some way.”
It’s ambitious, but she delivers. Olivia’s art resonates with audiences, incurring a powerful sort of reverence in viewers. Strength, warmth, and hope echo from the canvases, and she’s beginning to explore the mediums of sculptures and street art to bring these qualities to audiences in an even more tangible way. It is easy to understand how ancient cultures could have built myths and temples to the gods and goddesses that govern those virtues—and how we need to remember their importance in modern society.
“I want to do more murals and get my art out there so people are reminded of what we’re protecting.”

Getting quality prints for t-shirts may often sound like a challenging task. Most shops offering services for t-shirt printing produce low quality prints that are prone to peeling and cracking. Avoiding such occurrences requires you to find the best shop for t-shirt screen printing in Auckland.
Tumblr media
But, out of so many businesses, which should you choose? To clear your confusion, we’ve developed a short guide for you. Check for the following before selecting a print shop. Following these set of tips can help you get in touch with the best printing services In Auckland.
Multiple Print Options
A good screen printer in Auckland can deal with multiple needs. Their services extend to multiple options like:
·         Screen Printing – Screen printing is what you’re looking for. However, choosing a business that’s versatile will be a wise move. Instead of hiring a firm experienced only in one clothing type, invest in a brand that prints on multiple commodities. For instance, shops which can print on t-shirts, hoodies, sports, corporate uniforms, hats, umbrellas, aprons, tea towels, etc., have an innate sense of fabrics. This sense helps them match the right fabric to the right paint to produce high-quality prints.
·         Digital Transfer – Digital transfer is a simpler option. Compared to screen printing, this method heat presses vinyls, logos, and designs onto your clothes. It’s a popular choice if are looking for cheap t-shirt printing in Auckland.
·         Bulk Supply – The best online shops into screenprinting also offer bulk t-shirt supplies. The best ones will be able to deliver great quality in low time. Check for stores which have already worked with brands of the stature of Aurora, Biz Collection, Gildan, As Colour, etc. Such a service has years of experience and you can be lest assured that their services are top-notch.
Existing Designs Portfolio
Successful projects always reflect the integrity of a brand. Additionally, they help you understand the niche in which a brand specializes. For tee-shirt screen printing successful projects are a result of correctly chosen paint. We recommend you search for a firm that uses plastisol ink, water-based ink, nylon based ink, or nylon based ink. Additionally, a store using PMS colour matching can efficiently map the correct colour combinations for your t-shirts.
Stores that Pay Personalised Attention
But all of that’s not enough at times. Often fabric types and paints are difficult to match. If you’re facing such a tricky situation, contacting a store with at least 15+ years of experience is recommended. Professionals at such stores have the knowledge required to muse a manual carousel for matching colours, paints, and fabrics. They can create something that’s truly personalised to your taste. Add to that the availability of automatic printers and you’ve got a store that’ll get you high quality prints at the most affordable prices.
Are you looking for a store that’s got it all? Check out Creative Image Screen Printing. They’re a stunning t-shirt screen printing online store in Auckland. Take their free advice for printing high quality t-shirts in record time.

Screen Printing Tips for Beginners
You’ve probably seen print ads and posters all over your place. They usually feature a human protagonist with a message on the front or back. Sometimes, the protagonist is wearing a white shirt and blue pants. The message might be something like, “Get more sales by printing your products.” What do you think? Is it something you’d ever do? If not, you should check out some of these tips for beginners to help them get started.
How to Start Screen Printing
screen printing in LOS Angeles is the process of printing using a screen as opposed to traditional printing methods. Screen printing uses a different type of paper than other types of printing, which allows it to produce high-quality prints with little or no distortion.
What are the Different Types of Paper?
Screenprinting options include:
Cordless lithography: This option uses a cordless printer to print directly onto paper without having to wait for the print job to come back from the printer.
Laser lithography: This method uses lasers to cut through the paper and create images on the screen.
Digital lithography: This option uses digital technology to print images onto paper instead of using a physical ink cartridge.
HDR/Eco-Lithography: This option combines HDR (high dynamic range) and eco-lithography, which uses less energy and doesn’t produce any heat when printing.
How to Print Books, Magazines, and Other Publications.
To start screenprinting books, magazines, or other publications, first, you will need some materials like paper and screens. Next, you will need an image editor such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to create your illustrations or designs. After you have your illustrations created, you will need to prepare your substrate meaning the background layer on which your prints will be printed. The substrate can be anything from cardboard to heavy matte paper depending on the size and shape of your prints desired. Finally, you will need printers that support screenprinting such as Brother Printer LQ310DW or Canon EOS Rebel T6i Digital SLR Camera Printers.
How to Printing Customized Items.
Once you have completed your print job, you will need Tampa to create a custom order. To do this, you will need to select the items in your job and then click on the "Create Order" button. The first step is to enter your desired order quantity. Then, you will need to enter the delivery information and other required information such as your shipping address.
