Finished Arcane! My condolences for being in this fandom and having to deal with the immense trauma haha

Just wanted to talk alittle about the art so it might contain some spoilers; I assure you nothing major tho

I think the biggest thing that drew me to the show is the beautiful architecture and aesthetics, the steampunk city of progress piltover reminded me so much of old games I love.

I really love how much inspiration is drawn from art Deco and art Nouveau in both the architecture but also the art you see on the walls.

Now it's just in theory cuz I don't really know much but it seems piltover leans more towards Art Deco with all the rigid geometrical architecture and furniture

While zaun is alittle more ominous and still has some elements of art Deco it leans alittle more towards Art Nouveau with the curves and more beautiful organic lines and shapes

While Zaun still draws inspiration from modern art movements I did notice this one art they did of Jinx

And how much it reminded me of Alphonse mucha, who was a part of the art Nouveau movement, pretty cool detail my nerd ass got excited for.

Would really love to do a deeper study of the art styles and aesthetics of this series cuz it's absolutely beautiful.

Now I'm going to go play Dishonored religiously this weekend. I miss Corvo my boy

the architecture in that game brings out the nerd in me and is probably the reason why I love Arcane so much

Even the illustrations in the game remind me of the Arcane artstyle but more rendered out.

The whole stuff with Caitlyn's kiramman key and the machine it operates, the gas masks and the illustrations of the Grey. They hit me like a nostalgia brick and they were so cool.

Almost feels like they should turn Arcane into a game. That would be legendary

Cubfan is an Aquamarine, the Warden is a corrupted Ocean Jasper, and their fusion is Larimar! The idea is Cub fuses with the Warden and gets corrupted (by the Skulk) a la the Hermitcraft/Empires crossover :3

I only have like, 2 wip pictures of the process, but here you go!!

I admit, I think my fav part of this pic are the eggs in the egg basket cuz while rendering them, adjusting with hues and values, that was when it occurred to me "woag i can actually render like this???" I was LOCKED IN

It's a shame that with as much effort I put in rendering the eggs, they was gonna be mostly covered by the waves ASDFGH (and I had already liked the way the waves looked, too)

Originally, I was gonna make the sea lurker on top be more front-facing... like still looking down at the player on top the basket, but angled enough to give off the illusion "ermmm that fish is looking at us"

But I settled for a side view cuz I struggled with drawing a front-facing salmonid LOL
