Some more next gen kiddos, but this time with name and age reveals!
I specifically tried not to make it obvious which ones are Ants and which ones are Fontaines, via subtext in their conversation, though I might reveal whose kid belongs to who at some point over the next few days. I do plan on drawing more of them and their personalities.

⚘ the boys next door
sfwish, mdni | tags ; poly!male yanderes x gn reader (no prns used but 'you'), manipulation, yan behavior, slight fetishization of virginity
originally this was just gonna be one character so thank mazzy for convincing me to make him a poly duo instead lmfao. ik i have things to finish but like,,, boys 🫶
not too proud of this one so ill probs revise it or make a part two at a l8r time when im feeling less rusty
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the boys next door were the two that everyone knew of as a pair.
sebastian and tobias grew up together, learned together, played together, and shared absolutely everything practically since they were born. they were what people thought of when the words 'best friends' came to mind.
nothing could or would ever come between the two boys, everyone said.
so it was no shock that when you came in and quite literally got between them — by virtue of moving into the vacancies that separated their homes — their instant mutual attraction to you would do nothing but strengthen the bond between them.
it was odd. any additions to their relationship was unheard of, but...
the boys next door shared everything. you didn't think that'd exclude you, did you?
toby and sebastian were quick to befriend you when you entered their life. you were around their age, practically the only other child in the area at that; but unlike the children at school who they'd turn away from in favor of each other, they readily made you part of their dynamic.
they didn't quite understand the feelings you gave them at first, they were too young to. all they really knew is that they liked being around you, they liked talking about you, and they wanted you to themselves.
when you were young, everything became about you. their favorite games involved them being your loyal knights, or bodyguards, or any other role that involved protecting you from whatever threat their little minds could imagine up.
and when you grew tired of playing the damsel in distress? they were fine with it. whatever you wanted from them, you got. sebastian's gaming console was practically yours with how much he pushed you to play on it. toby would beg his parents to get him any toy he'd seen you show interest in; and he'd always eventually get them for you.
they didn't want you to ever be bored around them. you'd always have a good time on their watch, and they spoiled you relentlessly to the best of their abilities.
you were theirs, now! and you took care of what was yours, no matter what. that's what both of them were taught.
they grew up with you. learned with you. played with you, and of course, they shared you — even as the three of you grew up.
everyone around you saw how much they adored you, too. when asked, the two boys would proclaim how they'd both marry you in the future. it was so cute! no one saw an issue with how they always took up as much time and attention as they could from you. or how you never really seemed to be able to make friends with other kids at your school...
you had your best friends, so it didn't matter. they were all you needed.
the pair grew to love their constant close proximity to you. it ensured that they'd know what was going on in your life at all times as you grew and developed. when you weren't all hanging out together, it wouldn't be unusual for the pair to simply watch your home from their windows, glimpsing into your windows to watch you go about your life.
you were turning into a fine young adult. but you still needed their protection! they both easily surpassed you in size as you all grew up — sebastian in particular, who's height was staggering compared to both you and toby. he liked the edge it gave him, and how intimidating he could be when needed. tobias didn't have that advantage, but everyone liked him enough to respect you as his territory anyway. you were so small and sweet, what if someone saw you the way they did? they couldn't have that, they had no choice but to keep you to themselves.
it felt like you always had at least one of the two at your side at all times. so much so that it felt odd when you were without either of them. sebastian and toby being by your side was as natural as breathing and you grew to never really question their behavior.
they were just making sure you were okay when they insisted on keeping you company when you were home alone. when toby took your first kiss, it was because it only made sense — it should go to someone you trust and care about, right? and when you told the two that you were still a virgin well into adulthood (which they knew, of course), they insisted on being your first.
they knew you better than anyone, they'd know how to make you feel good. and who better to give your virginity to than your best friends?
getting to claim your body, inside and out, was one of the best moments of their lives. no one would ever get to have you the way they did.
no matter what you'd do, where you'd go, you'd always be effected by them in some way — and that's exactly how they wanted it. they'd always be your first best friends, your first boyfriends, your first everything. and you'd always be theirs.
the boys next door would always be entangled in your life. but you wouldn't have it any other way, would you?
they know you better than anyone, after all.

Random Ideas I've Had For Batfam
Writer's block is the only reason I've yet to post any of them
1) Idol! Reader x Batfam
This is one of my newest ones, where basically the reader would be a tired, overworked idol in an industry full of talent. Their attention span would be that of a goldfish so in order for batfam to get them to actually relax and take some time off (which they can't do any of that but whatever) the batfam would use their attention span against them.
Leading them away slowly but surely from the toxic idol life and instead trying to get them back into the real world.
2) Batfam x Reader - The bats are from a different universe
Where basically reader lives in a universe where heroes don't exist and one day they phase into reality. Coming out of nowhere and for some reason no one is questioning a single thing.
Almost everyone you know has these alrmtered memories of those vigilantes or villains and you just can't seem to understand how the world changed so drastically over night.
You somehow gain their attention, you know from nearly freaking out every time their in your proximity (as vigilantes) or when you start noticing the questionable things occurring in your universe
Like ripples in time, or holes in the ground that when looking inside of it lead to another universe. The world eventually ends with only you and the vigilantes being left and you start to put it all together.
(Basically its kinda was supposed to be like Rick and Morty, where if they destroy their own universe they just skip to another one and in the end they end up having to take the reader with them)
3) Batfam x Five Hargreeves! Reader
Long and short of the story, your an overworked sidekick. Batman seems to have this idea that your the key, that your powers would be extremely useful in his nightly crusades so he trains you. Day after day your worked to the bone and then you snap.
Why can all the other kid sidekicks get to live their lives as normally as possible but your stuck training day after day to do something you don't even want to do? Your muscles are screaming and your on the verge of passing out from all the strain your training had on your body so when your desperate, tired mind comes up with a way to put all of this to a stop you decide to do it.
You use your powers to send yourself into the future, thinking that it will permanently separate you from your daily hell... and it did, just not how you were expecting it to.
(Then basically you return to the past and in the same body you left in with the mission of saving the world, the batfam slowly uncover your secrets and after a while confront you about it.) Like about how you were an assassin
4) Damian Wayne x Child! Reader
Funny idea I got from a tiktok audio where reader is a church girl and they meet Damian during morning mass. He's covered in blood, clearly looks like he'll jump at the next thing that moves in his peripheral but your a kid, you don't care.
You immediately become friends (that's how you see it in your mind) sneaking him out of the church while your parents aren't looking because he asked you to, well more like demanded you to but a friend is a friend. He'll keep secretly inviting you out, somehow finding your parent's house and showing up in the middle of the night to whisk you away.
Not for the purpose of hanging out. No no no, your his cover. He camouflages well when your around, your bubbly, childlike demeanor hiding his intense and dark intentions. And that's a good thing when it comes to his missions, his mother doesn't seem to care about your presence in his life so for now he'll just keep you around.
Your parents are a bit apprehensive about your friendship with him and only when they find out that Damian is Bruce Wayne's son is when they finally accept your friendship. (After Damian meets Bruce)
They finally allow you to hang out with him and you finally get to meet his "irritating" siblings that he for some reason always goes on about and they're just staring at you like.
How did you become friends with their rat of a brother?
A little dialogue I had:
"How did you meet our brother?" Dick's trying to seem as sweet as possible but your entire outfit could light up an entire city, your parents have you dressed like a disco ball and it's not doing you any favors.
And you know, these nocturnal vigilantes aren't really used to such bright light.
"I met Dami while I was in church" you answer sweetly, it's clear that the difference between the two of you is night and day which us honestly a breath of fresh air.
"Oh really...?" Dick's smile tenses, I mean who would expect Damian to go to church, let alone be at least 15 feet near one.
"I was there to kill the pastor" he just simply states.
"You were there to kill the what?!" Boom, reality shattered. Innocence gone, now you know why you haven't been seeing Pastor Malcom as of late.

tsukishima kei x gn!reader ; childhood bsf to acquaintances, angst, minimal fluff, no y/n used, first person pov, 2.4k words
summary: tsukishima and you have been friends since childhood, so why does he start acting weird in junior high? Will you guys be able to work out your friendship amongst the misunderstandings? a.k.a tsukishima being an ass and reader yearning for friendship.
melon’s recommended melody: lowlife - jenna pemkowski
Tumblr media
Meeting Tsukishima when you were six was very intimidating. People like to think that Tsukishima turned snarky after some tragic incident but unfortunately, he was probably born that way. When your parents discovered that your neighbors had a kid your age they automatically wanted you guys to meet. Your parents practically forced Tsukishima and you to get close to each other. Your first impression of each other was that you were both very reserved, you both liked to have your own safe spaces and you think that was what connected you guys. It wasn’t until you both turned eight that he started to get used to your presence. However, you couldn’t tell if he enjoyed being in your proximity or if he was forced to be near you. Then Yamaguchi came into the picture and it was clear, that he was that unenthusiastic with everyone he just met. You never really knew what Tsukishima thought of you before that day he showed up at your door unannounced. “Tsukishima is downstairs and he says he’s looking for you?” Your mother tells you. You both exchange a pair of confused looks as it is usually you heading over to Tsukishima’s. Heading down you start wondering why Tsukishima would need to talk to you this late at night. Reaching the front porch you see Tsukishima with his head resting on his knees looking defeated and betrayed. “Did you fight with Yamaguchi? You never come to me?” Tsukishima didn’t respond but he didn’t need to, you filled the silence for him. You went on to talk about your day in hopes he would open up about why he came to you, it’s not like he needed to. It wasn’t till you started ranting about the convenience store running out of your favorite drink that he spoke. “My brother lied to me about being on the Volleyball team. He’s no ace, just a liar.” You didn’t know Akiteru because you just presumed that he was an older, even more intimidating Tsukishima. Nevertheless, you knew Tsukishima admired Akiteru to an unreachable standard. Akiteru was why Tsukishima loved Volleyball so much, seeing him succeed in the sport filled Tsukishima with so much pride and hope. Knowing this you knew there was nothing you could say to Tsukishima that would make him feel better. So you opted to stay silent, knowing he just needed your presence more than words. That day you realized Tsukishima found solace in the safe space that you and him created.
Tumblr media
After that night, you saw Tsukishima in a different light. No longer was he viewed as the reserved snarky boy you were once forced to meet but the boy who showed you a side of vulnerability and opened up to you. What once was uncertainty in your friendship with Tsukishima was now replaced with an unspoken bond forming between you two. This bond was very beloved to you, you both came to each other in times of need. No words had to be exchanged but that’s how you guys liked it, simple and comforting. It all came to a halt in Junior High when people started labeling you guys as a “couple”. One thing Tsukishima hated more than hot-headed people, is gossip. This gossip never really affected you at all, it was all baseless. You knew Tsukishima and you held no romantic feelings towards each other. Yet, for Tsukishima it felt as if he internalized this gossip and slowly felt it fill every crevice of his mind. Every time you wanted to walk home with him he always had practice with Yamaguchi. He never glared at you in class unless you were speaking, he always answered your questions with short responses, and worst of all he started hanging out with only Yamaguchi, ignoring you completely. You knew at this rate you would either have to confront the problem or just let your bond with Tsukishima slip from your fingers. Even though you knew which of the two options was the easiest, you knew your friendship with Tsukishima was worth standing by. If you confront the problem then tomorrow you guys can move forward together and it’ll go back to the way it used to be, right? So why are you in your room crying by yourself instead of on your porch? Tsukishima Kei, that’s why.
Before Tsukishima could find another excuse to avoid you, you went out to find him. You felt that luck was on your side due to Tsukishima being by himself at the vending machine. You tap his shoulder to see him turn around surprised. “Oh, what are you doing here, don’t you usually leave early to practice?” You noticed Tsukishima couldn’t look you in the eyes as you were speaking, it’s as if he would be scorched if he was anywhere near you. “Well, I came to talk to you. You’ve been so distant lately ever since we started junior high, I miss coming to your house. I miss-“ “I can’t talk, I have to meet Yamaguchi for Volleyball practice.” You stand there shocked, as Tsukishima starts walking off as if nothing you said mattered to him. “Are you going to keep ignoring me? Are you going to keep ditching me for Yamaguchi? When are you going to drop your pride and talk to me? You don’t look at me, you can’t even speak to me properly, what did I do to deserve this?” Your tone rising, Tsukishima freezes in his spot. “Tch, people grow apart. We don’t need to be together all the time, we’re just neighbors. I’m forced to see you outside my house every day, can’t you separate from me at school?” Your heart drops, what happened to the Tsukishima that was always on your front porch? Where is he now and why was he ashamed to be near you? “Are you joking? We’re just neighbors? You don’t even consider me a friend? After all those times you came to-“ “If it makes you feel better I don’t even consider Yamaguchi my friend, I don’t need friends. We’re here to go to school, not be in a popularity contest.” “Why are you running away? Why are you suddenly putting up these walls between us? Sure you don’t need friends but I want to be your friend, doesn’t that stand for anything?” Tsukishima gives you one more glance before he takes off and says “I don’t want to be your friend, I never wanted to be your friend. I was forced by my mom to be your friend. Find someone else to fill that role.”
Tumblr media
“I hate him. I’m not joking Yachi, I seriously hate him and now I have to be stuck in a class with him. I’m in eternal punishment, not to mention Yamaguchi is with him. It’s going to be so awkward!” “Well if you want to escape, you can go have lunch with me?” “You know what, I’ll take that offer and also extend it for the rest of the year, you’ll be my new lunch buddy Yachi.” Yachi silently nods and waves as you start walking the opposite direction towards your neighborhood. You knew going to the same high school as Tsukishima was your only option but it wasn’t your favorite. If it were up to you, you’d have gone to Shiratorizawa. It would’ve taken a long time to get there but it’d beat seeing Tsukishima’s face every day. It was only the first day when you walked into your classroom to be greeted by the boy you once thought was your friend. As if on queue, Yamaguchi popped up behind him as they both spared you a glance. While Yamaguchi’s glance looked more apologetic than anything, Tsukishima’s was emotionless. His glance angered you more than anything but it also validated your hate for him. It ripped open the scar that you thought was once healed and threw salt on it. His glance to some might look like nothing but to you it was laced with disinterest, that’s what piqued your anger. Disinterest is not what you should see in your ex-friends’ eyes, it should be reminiscent. Their gaze should hold the warmth and friendliness of what once was. It doesn’t matter, who were you to even say that Tsukishima and you were ex-friends, more like ex-acquaintances? You suppose an acquaintance would treat you better than the way he is treating you. His glance shows that you were nothing more than a burden, nothing more than a chore, you name dead weight that’s how Tsukishima would describe you. Maybe it wasn’t too late to convince your parents if you could switch high schools, your mom was a Shiratorizawa alumnus anyway. The next day, You were supposed to leave your house ten minutes earlier than you used to in junior high to prevent bumping into Tsukishima on your walk to school. However, the universe just loves to reward you with spectacular bad luck, as you wake up late on your second day. Due to you not leaving ten minutes early, you walk out the door to see Yamaguchi waiting by the Tsukishima residence. As you awkwardly wave to him, you notice he peeks to the left of you and suddenly goes stiff. Tsukishima lingers to the left of you, not really sparing you a glance and only paying attention to the green-haired boy in front of him. Doomed with the hands of fate you realize you have to keep three paces behind the pairing with headphones to drown out their current conversation. It isn’t until a hand pokes your shoulder that you realize Yamaguchi has been trying to speak to you the whole walk. You hang your headphones by your neck not bothering to pause your music just in case you need to place them back on. “I saw you in class yesterday, why didn’t you come sit next to us during lunch period?” Yamaguchi fills the dreadful silence plaguing the air. “Oh, I have another friend in a different class who invited me to eat with them, I didn’t want to bother you guys.” After you finish your sentence you hear a similar sound you heard when you argued with Tsukishima three years ago, the sound of him smacking his lips. You looked to the left of you to see Tsukishima putting on his headphones. It was then you remembered where you suddenly were, this wasn’t junior high, and these guys weren’t your friends. “Thanks for thinking of me Yama. I’ll see you in class, I forgot I need to give my friend back their English notes!” With that you decide to start speed walking to class, you didn’t need Tsukishima, you didn’t need him wondering where you were, and you definitely didn’t need him to know he still affected you after all these years.
Tumblr media
Yachi and you met up for lunch hoping to go about your day with minimal contact between Tsukishima and yourself. Yet, as you left for Yachi’s class you couldn’t help but overhear Yamaguchi asking Tsukishima about the morning. “Tsukki, you were kind of distant in the morning. Was it because I invited them into our conversation?” “Shut up, Yamaguchi.” Before you could hear Yamaguchi apologize you left, what else did you need to hear? Even though you left to Yachi’s class you couldn’t ignore the sour feeling in your heart, it’s one thing to hate you but it’s another to shun any mention of you. What could you have done to make Tsukishima so ill at any mention of you, did you possibly make fun of him or accidentally hurt his feelings? Yes, you hate Tsukishima but he doesn’t even hate you because hate would acknowledge your existence. He is exiling you out of his life completely, filling the holes in his memory shaped like you. Oh, you hate Tsukishima Kei. You hate him for ever stepping into your life, you hate him for expressing his feelings of betrayal to you, and most of all you hate him for making you feel this way. “Hey, are you okay? I was talking about joining a club but then you started grunting.” Yachi looked like she had just seen a ghost with the way you were fuming. “Sorry, Yachi I need to take rain check!” With that, you bolted to where Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were having lunch in your classroom. You spotted the traitor and charged to him, Yamaguchi looked at you and waved but Tsukishima pretended he was lost in his music. You tapped on the desk “Hey, Tsukishima wanna tell me why you’re being a total jerk to me? In the morning, I was able to swallow it but you know what I’m not going to take it anymore. Fine, you think we weren’t friends but to completely try to erase me from your memory and act like I was never there? Are you going to at least apologize to me, do you know how much it sucks to see Yamaguchi acknowledge me when you can’t even spare me a glance?” You knew people were staring but you didn’t care, you demanded an answer from him, why did he think you guys weren’t friends, why was it so easy for him to throw away your friendship? “What did I ever do to you? Ever since junior high you just acted distant and then threw our friendship away! Why was it so easy for you to throw that away?” Tsukishima finally looks at you and gets up to start walking away, leaving everyone in the class to look at you as if you were a crazy attention seeker. With the eyes of everyone on you, you darted out of the classroom to go find Tsukishima. To your surprise he was right outside so when you darted out he grabbed your arm to take you outside. When outside you looked at him questioningly, “Are you going to say anything?” Tsukishima had a look on his face you had never seen. “I have nothing to say to you, I thought you would know better than to cause a scene.” “Well news flash, you don’t know me remember? You said we were never friends?” He lets out a half-hearted chuckle “I did say that didn’t I?” You didn’t know what he was getting at, part of you wanted him to show any type of emotion. Whether it was him screaming that you were being stupid or him to just laugh and say sorry, little did you know he wouldn’t do either. “Let’s keep it that way then.” He walks away leaving you with an even bigger wound. You suddenly felt like you did in junior high, alone and clueless. “I hate you. I hate you Tsukishima.” No one was near you but you didn’t need anyone to hear it, you just needed to hear it yourself.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
He has always been there, in front of her or right in her back, too close to her liking. He always had that smile, the one that always makes whenever he wins something, whenever he has what he wants or when people do what he wants, that smile haunted her dreams ever since they were six years old.
Even when they were kids, they exchanged many eye roll. He always found a way of making her blood boil and stick her tongue with disagreement, and somehow she always made him want to pull her pigtail to annoy her or wrinkle his nose whenever she talked near him. They always found a way to annoy the other and most of the times it successfully worked, and other times it ended with both arguing and with their parents or our siblings trying to pull them away before they ended arguing loudly in the middle of the park or the beach.
“They’ll end up warming up to each other” their parents used to say, secretly praying for that to be true.
And that never happened.
As years went by, the hate they had for each other grew and the competitiveness got added into the mix.
The summer of 2005, he started his karting career with the help of his godparent Jules. And since their families were close friends, they decided to spend the summer of that year cheering for him in the karting track, watching how he practiced and competed against other kids. She hated to admit it, but she couldn’t stop following him with her eyes, watching how he drove that kart like he knew what he was doing, overtaking and driving faster than a kid of eight years should be driving.
“Do you want to try too, Dafne?” Jules asked her with a smile, watching how she followed with big eyes that kid with a yellow suit and a helmet that was too big for him.
That sentence. That sentence was what started it all.
Soon, the dolls and the stuffed animals were ignored, the shelves of her bedroom were holding trophies and kid-sized helmets, and every Sunday the TV of the living room had fast cars on it. She found herself seated on one of those karts, overtaking other kids, standing on a podium, winning races.
Some narrow-minded parents at school looked at her and shook their heads disgusted, watching how she went to the school with a miniature of Ayrton Senna's or Michael Schumacher's cars instead of the new Barbie that came out.
“That's a world for boys. She won't have a future there” they spat to her parents, laughing.
But every time they said something like that, the next day she went to school with a gold medal hanging around her neck or a trophy under her arm, walking in her classroom with her chin up and a proud smile on her lips.
“If she doesn't have a future, why did she win the French National KArting Championship?”her older sister defended, always standing up for her.
Dafne’s sisters are the ones that always inspired her, the ones that supported her no matter what. They stood by her side when the guys came to bother, and they always went to her  races to cheer up for her.
But the reason why she put on the suit and the helmet every weekend was something else. It wasn't only because she wanted to be like one of those women that had a little taste of what I want. And even if it sounded selfish and childish, the reason why she raced every weekend was to beat him.
Charles Leclerc.
He was most of the time in front of her, sometimes behind. But always a step ahead. While trying to beat him, he won and won, getting new friends and then beating her. He always looked at her with that smirk, somehow feeling superior only because he was on the top step or because he was welcomed to higher categories before she could.
“Come on, don't lose your faith” Jules always said, placing his hand on her back and trying to cheer her up. “He's a good driver, and you are too”
“But he's a boy and I'm a girl. At the end of the day, men will always have more chances of getting a seat than women”
For a while, she always thought about that. He was going into higher categories, he even got into the Ferrari Academy before she could ever get a chance of doing something good.
And then it happened. Suddenly, sponsors started to get interested in her, in the girl that was surprisingly beating boys on the track. It was like Jules was working for her up there.
“I’m going to have a seat on Formula 2 soon, you know?” he said while they were having dinner, the two families together.
“Good for you. I have one in Formula 3”
“What?” he said surprised, shocked by her new achievement.
“Yeah, you are not the only one trying” she said. “And the Ferrari Academy called too”
“That's impossible” he frowned.
“Why? Because I'm a girl?” she scoffed. “Thank God I am, because I will make them make history”
After that, Charles always showed his competitive side with her, not only on their careers but during the family meetings. He always competed against her to see who was the one that arrived first to the water in the beach, or who lasted the most under the water in the pools, even who was the first to find Waldo on the messy drawings. He needed to show that he was better in every way possible.
“Why are you bothering?” she scoffed whenever he found a new way of challenging me. “Is it because your man pride is hurt because I am achieving something you never expected me to make?”
Dafne was confident, watching him lose his nerves and fighting hard against her fueled her determination, she was enjoying knowing that he felt threatened by a girl. For once, even if she was in an inferior category, Dafne felt she was winning him. She didn't care if he won the title in Formula 2, because she knew that she could do better.
But when he got into Formula 1 and got a contract with Ferrari after his rookie season in Ferrari, her need to win against him got bigger. Bigger than she could achieve.
Dafne's first year in Formula 1 was marked by a team with a tight budget as Haas, with a team principal that only cared about his mediatic influence and never cared about the mental health of his drivers.
Charles Leclerc signed with Ferrari and it made him the youngest driver in Ferrari's history. And that gave him another reason to feel superior.
“You are stuck in Haas” he smirked. “I don't think you'll be on the front row teams teams. Maybe Sauber. Right now they are happy with me and Sebastian and I'm sure the driver who will take his place after his contract ends will be someone else”
Dafne hated him with all her guts. Every time they made them have a press conference together, she always made sure to sit far from him.
But the fandom found it funny. They thought it was funny that they hated each other, making fun and saying that they would soon be lovers, saying that it would make the best plot twist ever. The media knew about it and always tried to put them together by making conferences, but that only ended with them ignoring the other and their teammates trying to calm the situation.
“I don't understand why you two hate each other like that” Mick Schumacher, her teammate, sighed looking at her while they walked to the hospitality. “Charles is a good guy, I was with him in Prema and he never acted that way”
“I'm sure it is because he feels threatened by a woman” she scoffed. “It has always been like this since we were five. He always wanted to be better than me, no matter in what thing”
“Are you sure you two won't end up like lovers?” he teased her. “I’m sure I saw a movie with my sister that started the same way”
“Lovers my ass” she groaned. “I would rather be dead that with him”
“I feel that I'll need to write down those words. Just in case” he smirked.
“Mick!”
Finally, her dream contract came. In 2022, she had the offer of Ferrari to be their second driver. And that only meant two things. One bad and one good. The good? She was achieving her dream and driving for Ferrari. The bad? Charles Leclerc was going to be her teammate.
When the news of her contract was announced, the internet exploded. Fans started to write theories, they started rumors. But what started as a joke in the fandom, ended with a ridiculous petition.
“We would love it if you two were a little more friendly” their managers said. “The tension is so big between you two, and it's affecting the team work”
“I will not be friendly” Charkes and her said at the same time, making their managers roll their eyes.
“You two don't get it, right? I don't care about the history between you two. This has to end now” Mattia frowned. “The arguments in and out of the cars are ruining the work and it's making the team be tired of you two. So please, at least act in front of the cameras”
And that's what they did. Act. In front of the cameras.
Everyone was surprised when the rolling of eyes stopped whenever the other opened their mouth during the interviews, or even when they started to record challenges together. The PR team didn't care at all if they started rumors about them being together.
The team was working and that all that mattered. That's all that they wanted.
Until it happened.
The weekend her life changed.

Never Say Goodbye - Part 1
Pairing: Dean W. x Female Reader
Summary: The first time you and Dean sensed each other’s thoughts and feelings, you were just kids. It would take years to realize that you both were bonded for life, and even longer to finally meet. [Soulmate AU] (Rated M for eventual scenes – 18+)
Word Count: 2,000 Warnings: Some angst
Tumblr media
Part 1: Proximity
You’ve grown up watching your parents. At fourteen, you already understood how rare their relationship was—high school sweethearts, married for sixteen years, and certified soulmates.
Apparently it was even more rare to find your soulmate so early in life, but as Mom said, Sometimes the universe helps you out.
But you just started high school, and after surveying the pool of guys you have to work with, you really hope that “universe” stuff is just wishful thinking.
Because just this morning, Danny Schmitt got his hand stuck in the automatic stapler during Math class. Meanwhile, his friends were collecting bets on how many stitches he was going to need once they finally pried his fingers out.
Dad would call those guys dumbasses. You were inclined to agree.
You looked away from the scene (there was a lot of blood, and now your teacher was trying to free Danny with the only tool in the utility closet: a large hammer). But you couldn’t focus on your busy work like your teacher instructed either.
Sometimes, you still found it hard to believe your parents had met in high school. They had such an easy way between them, and not just because they could hear one another’s thoughts.
Mom was a kindergarten teacher, patient, kind, and encouraging. She came from a family of professors and school administrators, who frankly thought she could’ve done more with her life than “wipe five year olds’ noses.” Last Thanksgiving, she smiled and told Great Aunt Janet, “At least my five year olds can wipe their own asses.”
Smirking, Dad had followed up with, “How’s the incontinence, Jan? Ain’t lettin’ up at all?”
Dad was a cop, though he wasn’t as strict as he could've been. Or as dumb as cops seemed to be in the movies.
No, your dad could be stern, but he was always fair, even if you…didn’t really hang out with him much. Mom was basically your best friend, while Dad was often too busy to know what was going on in your life.
Really, you just couldn’t see what your parents had in common, other than the dusty, midwestern town where they’d grown up. (Speaking of which, you shivered and zipped your coat higher up on your neck. Even indoors, winter in South Dakota was nothing to sneeze at.)
But your parents would share a look sometimes. Your mom would smile, and your dad’s mouth would quirk up at the corner, his eyes softening in a way they only did for her. And then you’d remember that they had their own world that you couldn’t really understand just yet.
“All right,” your teacher said. He wiped sweat from his brow while Danny’s friends carried him off to the nurse’s office. The stapler was in pieces on the floor, but poor Danny still had two huge staples in his index and ring fingers. “I think we’re done for the day. Just finish workbook pages for chapter three and we’ll cover it tomorrow.”
Yes! Math was not your strongest subject, but even you could finish four more square root problems. The teacher’s desk phone rang while you gathered your backpack and books. You were about to leave the classroom when your teacher called you back. You didn’t like the somber look on his face.
“You need to get to the principal’s office,” he said. “Your dad is there waiting for you.”
Tumblr media
You didn’t know it then, but today was the day your childhood died—after Dad sat you down and told you what happened to your mom.
Winter in South Dakota was harsh. It could even be dangerous, especially on icy roads shared with grocery truck haulers.
They buried Mom in the same cemetery as your grandparents and your aunt (not Janet, by the way. You didn’t really remember your Aunt Karen, but your dad always avoided talking about his sister). The cemetery was small, but you guessed that made sense for a smallish town like Sioux Falls.
You stayed there until everyone else who loved your mom was gone, and it was just you and your dad left.
You didn’t bother to wipe your tears—not until your dad set a hand on your shoulder. You tried to wipe them away quickly, even though you didn’t really know why you didn’t want him to see you crying. He just gave you this look. In his eyes, you could see every fathom of his heartbreak. In a way, it told you everything you needed to know about your dad.
So you leaned into his side, and he held you close while the icy winds whipped at both of you.
Snow crunched beneath someone’s feet, and you turned to see a man walking down the row of headstones. He looked kind of familiar…
He had a thick beard and wore a baseball cap, but he took it off once he got close enough to pay his respects—first to Mom…then to Aunt Karen.
“Jack,” he greeted with a nod of respect.
You looked up at your dad, and the free emotions he’d been wearing clammed up behind a more familiar stern expression.
“Bobby,” he said, nodding back. Realization finally dawned on you. Oh, Uncle Bobby?
You hadn’t seen your uncle since you were…ten? Probably since Aunt Karen’s funeral.
“I’m real sorry about Christine,” Uncle Bobby said. He sounded a bit gruff, but his eyes were kind when they met yours sympathetically. “About your mom.”
Another tear fell down your cheek, but you nodded and wiped it away, sniffling.
“Thank you,” your dad said eventually. There was a brief, but awkward pause. Then Bobby nodded to himself and walked away, setting that faded blue baseball cap back on his head. You watched him go curiously.
“You remember your uncle,” Dad said. He didn’t seem happy about it.
“Yeah,” you replied. “Why didn’t he stay?”
He was family, after all.
Dad shook his head. There was a wry downturn to his lips. “He’s got a junk heap to look after.”
You frowned in confusion. But he didn’t explain what he meant. He just steered you back toward the car to go home.
Just as you both crossed under the iron arch to leave the cemetery, Dad reached into his pocket and gave you something. Your mom’s wedding ring.
“You can wear it if you want,” he said. “Or just keep it safe. Either way, just remember…she’s still with you. And I’m always gonna watch over you.”
The thought made you feel the slightest bit better, and also worse. Still, you took the ring and held it between your fingers. It was simple sterling silver, but beautiful all the same.
You got into his pick-up truck and he started the drive home. Just as you turned the corner, you hit a red light. You stared out the window as snow started a light fall, flurrying down to the damp pavement. Soon the ground would be icy and wet, and that reminded you of grocery trucks. Tears welled up in your eyes, but you were sick of it. Sick of crying.
It actually annoyed you…or…did it?
A feeling fluttered in your chest. It felt like anxiety and irritation all wrapped up into one. And another feeling, this time attached to a thought. It felt hot in your throat, and a lot like—
It’s not fair!
The thought startled you. Because somehow (and you didn’t know why), it didn’t feel like you were the one that thought it.
Finally, the street light turned green. It flashed in the corner of your eyes, and then you noticed a sleek, black car coming in the opposite direction. You watched it pass by for a moment, until your dad distracted you with a question.
“Are you hungry?” he asked. You blinked, trying to register what he said while you shook off the weird things you were feeling. Once your brain caught up to your mouth, you were finally able to answer.
“Not really.”
“Come on. I’ll get us a burger.”
You shrugged, but for once you really weren’t hungry.
Tumblr media
“Dad, come on,” Dean said in frustration. On one hand, he didn’t want to argue with his dad.
On the other hand, this really wasn’t fair!
He was seventeen already. He’d gone on a handful of hunts with John before, so why not this one?
“Too dangerous,” John said. He looked over at Dean from the Impala’s driver’s seat. His tone boded no further argument. “Djinn are tricky. Even seasoned hunters have trouble with ‘em.”
Dean frowned. “I’m ready, Dad.”
“Do we have to go to Bobby’s house?” Sam piped up from the back seat. At thirteen, he was getting more and more lippy.
“Cheaper than a motel.” John smiled, then glanced at his younger son through the rear-view mirror. “Besides, why not Bobby’s?”
Sam sighed. “His heater doesn’t always work.”
“Well, I’ll help him take a look before I go,” John replied. Dean stared at the side of his dad’s face for a while, but he knew a lost argument when he saw one.
…Still, he couldn’t help but try.
“Dad,” Dean pressed.
John’s gaze stayed on the road. “Not this time, son. You and Sam’ll be okay at Bobby’s.”
Dean resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Yeah, bored at Bobby’s. But he knew it was better than being left at a crusty motel room. He was annoyed, but he could deal with it.
Until something else began to creep up in his chest. Something he hadn’t felt since…since his mom died.
It was this ball of lead in his chest, weighing him down and constricting his throat. It felt a lot like…like fear, and sadness. And finally confusion. He was confused?
Maybe.
Sad? Afraid? Not really, no. At least, he didn’t think so. He hadn’t thought about his mom like that in a while…
So what the hell?
Those sensations only lasted for a moment—the time it took them to finally cross the street at the red light and pass a pick-up truck going the opposite way.
But that moment seemed to drag on for minutes. Now he really was confused.
He sat still, hesitating, until the feeling eventually passed.
“Hey, Dean, where’s the Batman comic?” Sam leaned up by his ear to ask.
Dean almost flinched. He played it off though, and turned to look back at his brother.
“It’s in my bag, but wait ‘til we get to Bobby’s.”
“Why? That’s like, a whole ten minutes away,” Sam pointed out.
“Because my bag’s under a ton of stuff back there. Just leave it for a few minutes,” Dean said. He sensed that Sam was about to get all bitchy and not let it go, but then John cut in.
“He’s right, Sam. Just cool it until we get there.”
Sam frowned, slumping into his seat with an annoyed huff. Wanting to tease him out of his kid funk, Dean smirked, reached back and playfully tapped his knee. “Yeah, cool it.”
Sam slapped his hand away. “Stop.”
“Make me, dork.” Accompanied by another teasing flick to his ear. Sam hit him back, and it would’ve devolved into an immature, but not uncommon free-for-all, if not for John’s heavy sigh and a sharp warning.
“Boys, enough!”
Then the car was silent. Sam huffed again and settled back into his seat. Dean tapered down his smile and sat back in his too. He looked out the window and saw the snow beginning to fall. Without meaning to, his mind drifted back to that weird feeling in his chest.
He rubbed his chest absently. But soon enough, he forgot about it. Just like you did.
Neither of you realized exactly what happened that day.
It was the first tug of a lifelong bond, seared into your souls.

A.N | May or may not have dreamed about the idea of this lol. Just finished it today so happy valentines! (this one-shot won't make you blush that way...)
You’re not sure why your friend decided to it would be a good idea to go out with someone like him to begin with.
At first, you thought she’d get over him like usual, hoping it’s just a part of her “hyper-fixations” just like how she’s got maybe five crushes all at once (from what you can recall in one of those nights you spent hanging out in her bedroom) but much to your horror, it wasn’t as simple as that.
You remember her gawking at him at the cafeteria after she had jokingly pinched you, nudging you to check him out in which caused to roll your eyes and proceed to open the cap of your cold tea.
You didn’t care about crushes at all, and yes, he was cute, handsome even but the only thing that piqued your interest at the moment was that sleek navy blue motorcycle he brought to school. You’ve always wanted one and to say that you were jealous of him flexing one at such young age is nothing but an understatement — you wanted what he had even if you couldn’t afford it.
And that wasn’t fair to you. Not when he barely has to do anything when you’re out here working part-time at a pizza parlour and you can barely even pay half of the bills at home.
Him and his old money status can go to hell, you think. He doesn’t even need to show up to any of his classes and you’re one-hundred percent sure he’ll be able to get into any top universities so easily, he just has to maybe tell his parents—
“Hey, are you listening?”
You blink away from your train of thought, the faint bustle of the library buzzing into your ear.
You realize you’re still in the same place for about three hours now, trying to study with the same friend (which would be your only friend, not best friend yet though because you don’t like getting attached to things, let alone actual people) who had been yapping about him for the past hour, and you may or may not have told her to shut the fuck up in your head twice.
“Wait, sorry.” You lie, typing away as your friend broke into a sly grin after finally catching your attention. “What did you say?”
“I said I’m gonna talk to Jeno today.”
Jeno.
Him.
You couldn’t help but squint, almost bursting out of laughter.
You didn’t mind your friend at all.
She was fun, even if she’s the complete opposite of you. Loved cute things like pastel colours, calico critters and dressed the part as 1/4 of the future art majors in your campus (quirky, and she happened to obsessed with colour yellow), and collects a shit ton of squishmallows she even has a separate storage for it. She’s literally the true epitome of cute, preppy and pure.
Way too pure when it comes to that said department actually.
You weren’t even sure how someone like you were friends with her, and why she wouldn’t leave you alone but she was quite persistent with you — having to initiate things first after meeting you then following you around until you decided to just let her have at it.
Ever since then the two of you had been inseparable.
Though that didn’t mean you two were automatically best friends (even if she did say this a couple of times) and you would be lying if you saw it that way too when she mostly talked about herself, her hobbies, her interests, etc. unlike you who just sits there and listens, nodding your head off as if you do agree (mostly you don’t because you can’t relate or it’s just not your style) but you don’t really have the heart to tell her that… not when she’s generally nice and hasn’t really done anything to offend you.
You just admire the fact that she keeps dragging you around and never gave up on you. You don’t even know what made her want to work her butt off to earn your approval and have her invade your space like that, but you guessed that maybe she’s just someone you might need in your life.
…And that maybe, she’s there for a reason you can’t quite guess.
She hasn’t done anything stupid anyway.
…Until today.
“What?”
You balked, brows raised as she sighed dreamily, already planning her wedding dress for when she ends up marrying Jeno, her “soon-to-be high school sweetheart” as she mentioned just a few times and might have tried to manifest too with you in her room in front of her mini crystal collection she’s been obsessed with lately.
“I’m gonna say hi to him today! I’m sick of him not knowing who I am.”
If anything, you weren’t really surprised with this sudden revelation.
It was about time for her to finally try to introduce herself to him after crushing on him for two months now, and you do know she would have the great confidence to almost pursue anything, including him but you didn’t really want this day to come (hell, the thought of it was already dreadful) because you already knew what was bound to happen once she approaches him.
It’s like… surrendering a fawn to a den full of lions, and you can’t do anything but watch her get eaten, figuratively-speaking.
“You don’t look too happy, but that won’t stop me y’know.”
She winked mischievously, stealing a tomato chip off your lunch as you shook your head, a little smile playing on the edge of your lips.
“Do whatever you want but don’t rope me into your shit.”
You shrugged only to earn a scowl from her, her round eyes practically begging you to tag along when she introduces herself to him later on.
“But… c’mon! You don’t even have to say anything you just have to be there for moral support, pretty please?”
You could only sigh, pausing whatever you were doing just to look at her in the eye, already incapable of saying ‘no’ to her because in your defense she looked too cute.
You couldn’t afford to break her heart by saying no.
“Fine… whatever! Just get me ice cream after then we’re good.”
“Oh, I was about to say that too in case he rejects me ha ha,” she laughs off as she sipped on her watered down mango juice. “But at least I tried, yes? Then we can just enjoy our little ice cream date but I might cry…”
You weren’t even worried about that all, but you don’t say that part to your friend because guys like Jeno fancied cute girls.
Especially the innocent ones.
And your friend just might be the perfect girl for him.
To say that you weren’t right would be a goddamn lie, and you wished you were anywhere else but here, inside Jeno’s black sports car, the posh leather seat cold under your lap.
It’s been a month since the day your friend had introduced herself to him with such spark in her eyes you thought Jeno’s friends might have fallen for her too. One of them was even eyeing her from head to toe, visibly amused after seeing her short little skirt hugging her little frame.
Your friend, on top of being the real embodiment of cute, was still gorgeous and easy on the eyes, so it didn’t really surprise you when Jeno ended up giving his number to her as you tucked yourself away from his plain sight, hiding behind your much shorter friend when she confessed her feelings to him with so much confidence, it made you gag.
You weren’t really sure what happened overnight but just a week after, you found yourself on your own as your friend started hanging out with Jeno, his friends and their equally cute “girlfriends”, but she still made sure to spend half of her lunch break with you, even trying to drag you to their table but you could only reject her offer and excuse yourself because you had to catch up on an “assignment” when in reality, you would rather sit in the library by yourself than sit with them.
Then, today, you and your friend was supposed to go shopping by train but what she didn’t tell you was Jeno was gonna be there to drive the two of you so you don’t have to commute on the way to the mall and on the way back.
At first, you fumed having to deal with him being in an inclosed space as you, but it was indeed cold outside now that it’s halfway October and you certainly didn’t want to wait for the train with you friend in this type of weather (and maybe you did want to see his car up close and personal…) so you begrudgingly agreed, letting her yank you off your misery and plunge you into it all when she voluntarily pushed you to the backseat, your eyes drifting to Jeno who’s still talking to one of his friends, Mark, another guy from his group you do find just as attractive.
You could only roll your eyes as your friend wore her seatbelt on, giddily humming to herself. You gradually shifted your attention elsewhere, quite amazed with the clean and sleek interior of his car, but again it made sense.
Jeno was neat, never messy.
“Sorry, Mark was being clingy.”
You briefly hear him quickly apologize with a low chuckle as he slipped behind the wheel, his classy, citrusy scent invading your senses.
You cross your arms and looked away, trying to get him off your head as your friend’s slightly high-pitched voice cooed him “it”s okay!” and that “we can wait” ultimately, ignoring that fact that she just called him “babe” after.
This was one major thing you couldn’t bring yourself to fully admit — the fact that he’s now officially “seeing” your friend not even after a few months in which you felt no ounce of happiness about.
Your friend did inform you about it just a few nights before when she asked if you could come over and watch a scary movie with her because she noticed you were too busy and had no time with her (and you did feel bad because even if she’s always with him, she till spent some time with you only for you to run away for the most part) but she didn’t confront you about it at all.
If anything, it seemed like the usual chill nights you’d share with her until she brought him up and dropped the bomb on you without some sort of a warning beforehand especially when she can tell you’re not fond of Jeno nor his friends.
It felt like a sick joke, and it just feels like you friend is doing her best to make you change your mind about him which you don’t plan on doing so, not when you catch him doing PDA with your friend here and there you couldn’t help but swear at him in your head and look away.
The more time you had to spend with those two, sometimes with their friends, made you want to crumble or run off to the opposite direction.
They were exactly like what you imagined them to be, a couple of rich, privileged kids with filthy heads, the filth your friend is too innocent to be able discern.
They were sneaky about it too especially that Haechan guy who might have tried to get into your pants before, and you hated him so bad you had to tell him to back off you in which he called you feisty in return with the sinister promise of “you’ll want me someday.” before he left you to go smoke.
The rest of the group hasn’t really said anything to you yet. Sometimes they did but it was shallow and the girls hated your guts which is fair because you hated them as much (and with passion too). The only person you could perhaps stand in the group was Renjun.
The guy didn’t make any back-handed comments and he kept to himself for the most part but he did flash you a gaze occasionally wondering why you’re even here to begin with when it’s so damn obvious you don’t like anyone except your friend who always made sure you were included even if you tried to get away, and when you do try… it always ends with her getting what she wants.
And now you’re here, lost in your thoughts as you bore your full attention to the rows of yellow lights in the tunnel, the loud laughter your friend shared with Jeno mocking you.
He did leave the two of you alone to go shopping, and just came back to pick the you up as promised, then he’s supposed to drop you off first before her then they might go on a date like she told you earlier with so much excitement she couldn’t even choose between the two purses at a high-end store you were helping to choose from.
In the end, the two of you walked out the store satisfied — her with a new heart-shaped purse and you with a cashmere scarf you’ve been fancying on for months now that was on sale (which did hurt your bank account but your friend offered to pay half of it so you can just pay her back with instalments) this then provided some sort of a distraction for you, even offering to buy her a warm drink from the cafe as a sweet treat but since Jeno was already parked by the exit, you had to hurry.
They were still giggling as you shifted uncomfortably in your seat, the urge to strap your headphones around your head getting stronger the more you tuned in, even rolling your eyes when Jeno asked for her hand so he could give it a kiss as if you weren’t just there, witnessing the horrors.
Much to your looming demise, you try to relax and lay your head back with a determined attempt to lull yourself to quick nap anyway since your apartment is around thirty minutes away, so you fold your arms, turned your head to face the window and closed your eyes.
Not even ten minutes later, just when you were about to actually let sleep take over, your hear the deep rumble of Jeno’s voice.
“She’s asleep isn’t she?”
There was a slight movement from your friend, causing you to hold your breath as you feel her check on you.
“Yep, she did say she was tired.”
“She doesn’t talk much. Why are you even friends with her?”
Jeno snickered, taunting you from the rear-view mirror as you tried your best not to reach out and strangle him god willing.
He doesn’t even know you like that.
“She’s nice! Just give her some time.” You friend sighed, defending your honour which you almost snorted at but pretending to be asleep at this very moment was more ideal for you, you think.
You pushed yourself to further into the door, eyelids slightly parting just in time to see him give her a sleazy wink before you saw his hand land on her lap, making your heart drop at the sight.
You weren’t sure if you liked where this was going at all.
“She’s sleeping Jeno…”
You clawed on your sleeved, clenching your jaw when you hear Jeno whisper rather suggestively.
You knew it was meant for your friend, but he didn’t even bother hiding it, assuming you’re fully knocked out at the back seat.
“If you can keep it down, she won’t know.”
You swore you almost cried, knuckles turning white for how hard you formed into fists when you hear your friend’s shy giggles which enveloped to a series of quiet moans from the front seat when he began touching her down there as he drove, the soft r&b blaring from his speakers in an attempt to suppress the noises your friend was trying so hard to hide so she won’t wake you up, when in reality, you were very much awake to witness all of this happening.
At this point, you genuinely wished you were dead, begging for the door to just unlatch itself so you can slide off your seat and fall into the road to your death than sit here, being forced to hear your friend let out a strangled moan as he fingered her, easily dragging her close to her peak.
You wanted it to stop — for them to just cut it out and put an end to your nightmare but it only got worse as the time went by.
You can practically hear the lewd noises Jeno was making with his fingers as he played with her sheer arousal and the way he was talking to her in such a dirty manner for the sole purpose to make her cum in which she violently did just a few minutes later, an animalistic high-pitched squeak leaving her lips before she heaving and moaning his name shakily with him still fucking her with fervour, overstimulating her.
The subsequent scarlet hue spread on your cheeks, heating your face up, second-hand embarrassment kicking in as you chewed on your lip until you drew blood from your cracked ones, neck craning all the way to your side so your scarf could hide the horrified expression on your face.
You weren’t sure if you wanted to cry or laugh — cry because he had the audacity to finger your friend at your presence or laugh because of the high-pitched noise your friend made. You think it’s a mixture of both and you think you might have gone clinically insane from that alone as this was not a part of your bingo card.
It’s only been a few weeks. Have they fucked already?
You try to contain yourself as you kept still when you hear them share a languid kiss in which your friend giggled to before she flashed you a quick gaze, making sure you were in fact, still asleep.
“She probably didn’t hear that did she?”
“I’m sure she didn’t.” Jeno’s mocking tone caused you to move slightly, but not enough to make him think you were awake all along.
Your neck became stiff after what seemed like forever, and as much as you wanted to stay in this painful position you knew you had rouse yourself up just because you couldn’t handle “sleeping” anymore, so you waited until your friend led him to your street as she navigated for him.
It was then the only time you stirred yourself up, alerting the both of them that you were now “awake.”
“Hey, sleepy head!”
You yawned, trying to look at her in the eye in the dark as you borrowed into your scarf, hiding half of your face.
“Yo.”
You diverted your to the windows and recognized your surroundings as the car halted just in front of your apartment complex, relief surging through you in sudden realization that you’re finally home.
“Thank god.”
You murmured under your breath, hand already fixed to the door handle, about to yank yourself out of there when your friend stopped you just before you can leave.
“See you next week!”
She piped up, her pupils shaking in pure excitement you almost asked what the hell she smoked to look like that when you already knew it was due to post-orgasm high.
You couldn’t help but to mirror her expression, but with a completely different reason.
You think you might want to commit right there if you kept smiling for ten more seconds, much like an unhinged criminal.
“Yeah! See you and thanks for the ride, Jeno.”
“Anytime.”
You see him nod at you, acknowledging your thankful nature (he probably though you were incapable of doing that) before you sprinted off, the two of them watching you attentively as you pushed yourself inside the lobby, cursing vehemently under your breath.
You didn’t even sleep that night, not when you find your underwear being wet from your own arousal after thinking about it again.
You don’t even like Jeno to any degree and yet, you still dreamed of him but not for good reasons.
Not at all.
And if your friend was to find out, it would be game over.
//
“I might have a friend who can take me in so Tony can come and fix this.”
You sigh, seeing as how the flooding got worse over the weekend due to the nonstop rainy weather and you, unfortunately, still rents the basement of a hosting family your mother personally knew but since they were on vacation in the UK and the main floor is locked, you can’t even access the floor and camp in the couch until the flooding issue gets fixed.
You’ve been on the phone with your host for an hour now explaining everything, and that they were going dispatch a friend to fix the damage shortly but still advised you that you’ll probably want to look for a friend to sleep over at for the mean time which you were okay with but you didn’t really want to do that even if you had no choice.
Hotels were costly so you dialled your only friend anyway whilst chugging what’s left from your coffee cup before tossing it in the nearby bin.
You’re in a local library now, left with nothing but a small suitcase you hastily shoved most of your every day necessities in to cover one week’s worth. Your host did say it should be okay to come back in a week or less so you made sure not to overpack, and you didn’t really want to stay there for longer, not when the slightly murky water felt cold around your feet.
“What? Are you serious!”
You sighed for what seemed like the 100th time today as you told your friend the whole situation.
“Not sure if this is going work but do you think you can take me in?” You inwardly groaned. “I can pay you.”
“Boo, I wish I can but my aunt’s over with my cousins I don’t have a space for you. Maybe after four days? They leave on Friday!”
“Well that won’t work, thank you though. I’ll go find a hotel—”
“No, no that’s going to be more expensive I can get someone to take you in though if that’s ok?”
You hummed, picking on your nail at the thought. Might as well give it a try.
“Sure…?”
“Ok, great! Give me a sec!”
You hear some sort of a movement from the other line before you hear your friend’s muffled voice once again.
“I just texted Jeno! He should be done working out right now. Where are you?”
“What?!” You let out a harsh whisper, trying to calm down realizing you’re in fact, still in a library. “Jeno—? I didn’t even agree just yet!”
“Well, he’s the only person I one-hundred percent trust with you even if you guys don’t talk but he’s got a huge place you can stay in and then he can even pick both of us up for school!”
“No,” You clutched your head in annoyance, trying your best not to hiss. “I— I don’t know if that’s a good idea.”
“What? Why? He already said he can do that though just now and I really don’t want you to spend money in a hotel. Too expensive. Good luck with Jeno though because he’ll say no with paying so you’re in good hands!” She laughed a little, making you huff on the other line. “Please? Maybe you guys can be friends. It gets so awkward when I’m with the both of you and you don’t even talk to him…”
“It’s just…” You try to explain. “I don’t know I feel like it’s so rude of me to just—”
“Honey, you’re not being rude! He literally said yes, and he’s got like two cars over there that you might like. If you ask nicely, maybe he can let you drive one to school? How about that?”
You wished she didn’t mention that at all, especially knowing that sport scars were your weakness in general and Jeno happened own two more aside from the one he drives to school.
You weren’t even sure if you had any ounce of dignity left at this point.
Hotels were costly, and you didn’t want to ask your mom for money to spend in a hotel thinking you’ve got a friend to cover for you, plus what you make from your part-time job wasn’t enough to foot the bill if you were to opt for a hotel.
If it was someone else, perhaps Mark or Renjun, you would probably agree without missing a beat (not like they would offer themselves in the first place, but if they did, you’d rather be with them) but this was Jeno.
The guy you’re friend is “seeing” and the same guy you thought about that night when you shouldn’t have.
You don’t even know if you could look at him in the eye anymore, and now you would have to stay over because he’s that nice?
“Heeeey, are you okay? I thought you ended the call for a second there.”
You cleared your throat, trying to make up your mind.
Am I gonna do this or not? Why the fuck would he even agree to this…
“I’m here sorry…”
“Don’t worry about it, okay? I really want you guys to start talking… Don’t you think this is a good idea? He thinks it might be good too.”
“He said that?” You almost laugh. “Thank you, but…”
“He did actually and no buts! Do this for me please?”
“You… fine, fine…” You say as you give up, letting her win over you again.
“Okay! Yay!”
You hear her clasp her hands together before she asked where your exact location was again, intending to forward it to Jeno.
In the end, she simply gave your number to him so it would be easier, logically speaking, but you didn’t even want to save his number at all or have that exchange. It felt so weird to have him there, in your short list of contacts when you don’t even consider him a “friend” for that matter.
You weren’t even sure if you were doing your friend a “favour” even if she did say she trusts Jeno because deep down, you knew she shouldn’t be putting all the trust to him, not when you’re in the picture.
Especially not when you’re about to be confined in one space with no one else but him for god knows how long.
//
He didn’t even bat an eye when you slipped into the front seat of his car as he was in the middle of a conversation what you can assume would be Jaemin, blabbing something about some new pc game he got, so you strapped your seatbelt on quietly, not sure when would be the good time to thank him when you can’t even look at him in the eye.
“K, heading home. Talk later.”
He didn’t say anything either so you slowly fixed half of your attention to the road ahead of you and his one hand steering the wheel expertly, then gradually moved past that so you can finally glance up there, to his gorgeous side profile in which you admire a little.
He’s even more handsome this close, with his tall nose, perfect jawline and glowing fair skin — you thought you might have forgotten your words but you quickly look away, feeling the nervous energy course through your veins.
“No thank you?”
There was a slight tinge of tease in his tone, so you clear your throat, refusing to actually spare him another glance afraid that he might catch you looking more that you should have.
“Sorry… Just sad about the whole situation, but thank you for taking me in. I hope that’s okay with your parents…”
“Don’t worry.” He chuckled a little. “They’re in the Caribbean Islands right now. No one’s home.”
“Oh, that’s great.” You weren’t even sure if that offered some sort of relief on your end. “Always wanted to go there.”
“Maybe if you start hanging out with us more then I can take you there for the summer with the group?”
You think he might be joking, so you treat it as such, trying not to derail from what seemed like a pleasant conversation you two are actually having.
You knew your friend would be happy to hear the fact that you can actually get along just fine, but because of how you see Jeno and his friends in such a negative light, you’re not sure if you had the ability to stop being stubborn for once.
“Maybe.”
You sigh, now shifting your gaze to him again, noticing his muscular, yet lean upper body hugged by just one layer of his black turtle neck. You couldn’t help but to ogle a little, but you do look away, feeling the slight guilt creeping down your spine.
He’s literally one move away from dating your friend, so why do you find it so hard to look away? Not when there are more conventionally attractive guys in the group? Like Mark? Renjun?
I have eyes. I can look, that’s it. It won’t hurt.
“Oh, c’mon the more the merrier.” There was some sort of a drawl in his tone you couldn’t quite miss, but maybe you might have been imagining things. “Let’s see if I end up liking you enough though then maybe I’ll work so hard to drag you into the group and come with us to the Caribbean next summer vacation, yeah?”
Or were you really imagining things?
//
The first night wasn’t bad.
You learn that your friend wasn’t exaggerating when she did tell you he lives in a mansion.
There was a huge fountain in the middle of a private cul-de-sac, two mermaids made out of a slab of rock perched in right in the centre, flowing water trickling from the matching queen conches.
The gate was tall, and the impressive gigantic lot is nestled in what seemed like a canopy of endless tall pine trees. They literally had no neighbours close by and the entirety of the driveway was an actual boulevard, you think they could possibly fit another house over the area.
It felt like you entered a different dimension — the gated community of the rich didn’t feel real at all. Even the air felt expensive, and just when you thought that wasn’t enough, Jeno allowed you to spare a longing gaze to his two other fancy cars parked in a quadruple-door garage.
He did notice your obvious interest with the exterior of his cars so he lets you have your fun until you found yourselves darting inside his own floor which could pass as some sort of a penthouse.
You think he might not even see his parents even if they were in one house altogether halfway in. Hell, if there was party being hosted by him for two days in a row his parents won’t probably hear any of it.
“I have a spare room when the guys sleep over so you can stay there for now. Don’t think I’d have anyone over soon so you’re good.”
You stand in the middle of the spare room, checking the surroundings like some sort of a curious cat.
It was super neat, had some distinctive art pieces by the walls, but it did look like where they would hang out judging from the game consoles tucked into the black drawers under the gigantic screen tv and the mini fridge with a snack bar situated in a corner surrounded by neon lights.
“Thanks again, Jeno.”
You tell him as he leaned against the doorway, a pleasant expression on his face upon noticing the way you looked awestruck with the room arrangement.
“No probs. I’m just one door away so let me know if you need anything. Usually up until 1 am. My maid isn’t here she’s on vacay so just it’s just us two.”
“Sure.”
He left you alone like that, letting you bask at thought of him even having a maid. You think he might have an entire staff like a “head chef” running the house, but sooner or later you learn they’re all on vacation since they were all related which leaves you and Jeno all alone in such a big house, though despite that, you couldn’t help but feel the foreboding anxiety blaring through you like fire alarms.
There was an itch you couldn’t pinpoint and it drove you crazy the more you stayed over, and even if the first night went equally well like normal, you couldn’t help but feel some sort of guilt wrecking through you, so for the next two days you got in touch with Tony, the maintenance guy, in hopes to hear something positive about the situation back home so leave early.
Much to your demise, it won’t be until a few days so you gave up, trying to calm yourself down as you tucked yourself to bed right after doing your homework on your third night.
Your friend visited you a few hours before but since her and Jeno had plans for the night which involved the guys, Jeno might be coming home around dawn. You couldn’t help but feel the crash of relief to be finally alone for once which was bad for you to admit since you’re literally staying in his house for free, but having him there to share a space with made you feel too damn guarded and you hated that.
It wasn’t like he was watching you either — if anything, you’re the one who was doing more of that especially when you ate together after he offered to cook, and if he did order take-out, he asked what you wanted and delivered it right to your door just because you didn’t feel like going downstairs when you should’ve offered but upon finding out he was in the ground floor from their own home gym, you decided not to.
He didn’t even bother putting a shirt on when he knocked on your door, letting you see his bare abs through the wide split of the door so you were quiet thankful you didn’t make your way downstairs even when the damage has been done and it did nothing but make things worse for you.
“The passcode is the last four numbers of you number.”
He concluded as he gave you a quick rundown of instructions in terms of the security system.
You nodded obediently, quite touched at the fact that he made you your own designated password even if you’re only staying for a couple of days.
You weren’t friends with him yet, but he sure made things easier and was quite civilized the entire time, even putting all the trust in you to be in the house but the cams were all on so he can literally see what you would be up to unless you lock yourself in your room.
You follow closely behind him and your friend now holding hands with him as the three of you entered the garage. Your friend gave you a little pat on a head muttering a “good girl” in a light, teasing tone before they eventually drove away, leaving you by yourself for the next few hours.
You actually planned to do a mini tour and explore the other floors besides Jeno’s floor but because you didn’t want to end up falling to any “trap” doors (Jeno did mention that once as a joke but you didn’t want to risk it) you chose to stay in your room instead and watched movies on netflix with a plan to reheat the leftover pizza from last night.
Around midnight, you found yourself by the mini bar, wanting to try some of the alcohol he had so you pop a Hennessy from the glass shelf into a mug instead to pair with some sun chips to munch on at midst of a thriller movie you picked.
After downing what seemed to be a couple of glasses within the passing hours, you nursed an impending headache throbbing in your head. You could only curse, the thought of being completely hangover the next day already pissing you off.
You were more of a social drinker, but you think it’s been a while since the last time you attended a party and back then, it wasn’t so bad. You were still able to walk and say sentences incoherently after a few shots but this was worse.
You’re severely tipsy at this point, gaze all hazy as you attempt to shut the tv off, squinting over the rolling credits you can barely read off from.
You yank your crewneck over your head after feeling too hot, opting for just a mid-length slip as you tumbled out of your room, wanting to head to the bathroom with the sudden urge to splash some icy cold water on your face but you weren’t fully thinking as to where you were heading until you managed to somehow push into Jeno’s room, arms splayed in the dim-lit space.
You stumbled your way into his own bathroom adjacent to his bookcase, locking yourself in.
You were about to pass out inside, suddenly too sleepy to function but still made it out of there only to end up locating his equally large, yet better bed, his sheets cool under your skin which eased up the liquid fire running in your bloodstream.
You weren’t really sure what you did next, but the faint smell of his citrusy scent from his nice, cold sheets, you didn’t care about anything else and instead, slept through the great comfort of it all.
Unbeknownst of you, Jeno did end up going back home earlier than planned, but without your friend this time.
He was too exhausted to even notice that something was truly off by the time he got into bed, shirt off, sleep knocking him out a few minutes in.
“She won’t know.”
He placed your arms on the curve of your back as he pinned you to the wall in a hallway absent of any light.
You feel his sweet, minty breath on your nape, his strong hand tight around your wrists in a vice grip with the intention of not letting you go.
You were so breathless now, letting him do what he wished, his free hand tracing the outline of your thigh as he yanked the hem of your dress upwards, groping you from behind, whispering sinisterly in your ear before kissing the slant your shoulder, his hand snaking dangerously inside the silk fabric until he replaced your bra with his, playing with your breasts in a manner that drove you nuts.
“You’ve thought about this haven’t you?” He pressed, as you whimpered helplessly, back arched with your behind brushing against his. “Answer.”
“Y-yes…”
You sigh, unable to control the soft moan emitting from your throat when he eventually slid his hand in your underwear, callused fingers rubbing your clit now covered with pure arousal, spreading it all over your aching sensitivity.
“I didn’t even have to spit.” He hissed sardonically. “But I think you’ll like that, yeah? What do you think? Do you want me to spit on your pussy?”
“F-fuck… yeah…”
You feel him pull his fingers off you, causing you to whine at the loss of contact when you hear him spit behind you, immediately sliding his hand back into your soiled underwear after doing so, messily mixing the glob of his spit with your slick arousal you think if he kept this up, you would cum in no time without even having him fuck you at all.
“You’re disgusting…” He hummed in satisfaction, ultimately parting your pussy lips so he can pump a finger in, his lips leaving a trail of open-mouthed kisses down your spine. “I like that.”
You hear him groan at the feeling your tight walls around his long, slender fingers, a series of swears rolling off your mouth when he began fingering you, fucking his spit into your throbbing hole all desperate for him and him only.
You rubbed your thighs together in a desperate attempt to itch the pulsating sensation between your legs, the bundle of nerves you eventually pressed on in your sleep made you whimper softly, the pleasurable feeling intensifying the more you rubbed yourself.
This was the second time Jeno had unmercilessly plagued your dreams again — like an incubus haunting you in your sleep, but in the end, he gives you what you desire — to come so hard you thought you’d black out.
You’ve never even drawn yourself to that type of high before you even knew who he was, but after what happened in the car, you couldn’t help but think of how good it would be to have him fuck you instead of your friend.
You did feel guilty for having this type of thoughts about your friend’s own boyfriend, but having him wreck havoc in your head after hours, was mind-numbing, it was almost addicting.
You’ve tried and fought so hard to stop thinking about him, trying to replace his face with someone else like Mark, or even Renjun or some other celebrity you fancied but when you’re just a minute away from reaching your peak, you can’t help but bring him back and let him take over you, his face alone making you come so hard your legs would shake as the raw lust mixed with shame riddled all over your skin.
Tonight was the same, except you were actually in his house and on his bed, touching yourself without any awareness about your surroundings and absolute care in the world, not when you had creeped your finger inside your now wet underwear, intending to finger yourself on your side, but before you could do that, you tucked yourself under the comforter seeking for warmth, back flat on the mattress as you slide your hand back in, moaning at the contact once again, legs propped with your knees bumping against each other as you played with yourself, eyes tightly shut.
“It hurts…” You whimpered lightly, still dreaming as you tilt your head to the side, brows furrowing in frustration. “I need…”
Jeno, who had been sleeping just right beside you, eventually stirred, turning to face you with a sigh, starting to be aware with the noises you were making but thought it was a part of what seemed like a dream for him too so he made no move until you inched closer and closer, now only one move away from touching him.
You’re facing him now, his familiar sweet scent elating your senses, it being the only thing to make you move faster, your middle finger playing with your growing wetness before you eventually slid it in, biting your lip at how tight you felt and wishing it was him doing it for you instead.
“Jeno…” You huff, you free hand snaking under your slip to grope your breast, hissing from how hard your nipples had gotten.
Jeno, now half-asleep, responded with a tired “hmm” as he hovered closer, his hand landing on your hip to pull you closer to him, sealing the small gap between the both of you with his face now resting on the curve of your shoulder.
He hears you purr sweetly, fingering yourself faster when you feel him lay a light kiss on your bare skin, his hand finding your jaw so he can tilt your chin up, kissing you there but deeper.
You didn’t even care anymore. No shame surging through you thinking this was a mere wet dream even if it felt too real, so real you could actually see him in the shadow but because the lights were so dim, you couldn’t make a face but his beautiful scent and warmth was more than enough.
You just needed to feel him, have him ruin you more just like how he does in your dreams.
“Aren’t you tired?” He whispered huskily, realizing you were fingering yourself when he circled his own around your wrist, stopping you. “What are you doing?”
“I want…” You mumbled, distress coating your tone when he yanked your hand from your underwear ever so gently. “I want to cum…”
“Want to?” he cooed, keeping his eyes close as he parted his lips open to suck your slick arousal from your fingers, earning another moan from you before he let you grab him on the shoulder, his own hand now snaking inside your underwear.
“Fuck, just-just put it in, please…” You begged, circling your arms around his neck as you lifted your leg, resting it on his hip.
You hear him hum, the deep rumble of it making your head go numb.
He wasted no time, pleased with your whines when he slid his finger inside your soaked pussy, fingering you slowly until you found yourself in a verge of breaking out of a sob, your knuckles turning white on his shoulder as he fucked you faster and harder at your request, fully attentive with the way you were squeezing him, sucking him further into your throbbing cunt, making him go crazy for how increasingly wet you’ve become.
“J-jeno!”
You half-screamed, back arching as he hovered on top of you, his head disappearing on the crook of your neck to kiss you right there before you feel his teeth bite the strap of your slip, yanking it down your shoulders.
He was going way faster now, fingers curving up to rammed on your sweet spot as you struggled under him, thighs closing tightly around his flexed arm just when you’re about to reach your peak.
“Don’t you want to come?” He smiled sleepily, sucking your left nipple with so much want it only drove you closer to your orgasm. “If you’re a good girl, you will, won’t you?”
It was scary how it feel too damn real — you could even hear him up close and personal and it was too overwhelming, but you couldn’t open your eyes, not wanting this dream to ever end, not when he’s about to make you cum so hard like this.
So you pushed through it, the lewd squelching of your wetness from him fucking into you the only thing you could hear, his equally pleased moans gracing your ears when you tell him you’re almost there.
“Fuck, fuck…fuck! I’m,” You cried, shaking violently as you finally snapped, hands flying on his in an attempt to stop him from fingering you in a brutal pace but he didn’t allow you.
Instead, he forced you to ride through it all as you cursed, head thrown back until you began sob from overdrive, thrashing and squirming under him only to make him pin your arms above your head, your slip pulled all the way to your neck, letting him feel your bare skin, your underwear being torn by him, tossing it on the marbled floors.
“I’m fucking you.” He growled, eyes parting slightly, unable to see you fully but the feeling of having you all naked and weak under him made him a little crazy. He wasn’t even sure if this was just a dream anymore, but he had his own personal desires needed to be taken care of. “You’ll let me, right?”
“Please…” You begged as he lifted your dress all the way to your face, turning it into a blindfold causing you to spread your legs wider for him, too aroused with the way he was trying to limit your senses. “Fuck… just do whatever you want, please…use..use me…”
“Can you even take me?” He smirked, tracing small kisses from your jaw all the way to your sternum as your breath hitched. “You’re this desperate, huh?”
You hear him unbuckle his belt as you begged, wanting him to give it to you already, afraid that this dream might come into an end.
“Please, Jeno…”
“Sounds better when you say it like that…”
He sighed, giving himself a few generous strokes before you felt the tip of his hard cock rub your pussy, giving you a few jabs before he slowly slipped inside you just halfway, wanting you to get used to his size so he waits for a tap which came just a few moments later, and gives it to you, a matching lustful moan being knocked out from yours and his.
“So b-big…”
You grabbed his biceps as he held his breath, trying his best not to fuck you like a wild animal for how amazingly tight and warm you felt around him, squeezing around him repeatedly, almost drawing him to the edge.
“Your pussy can take it…” He whispered, fucking into you slowly. “If I fuck you like this, you’ll take it…and if I go faster?”
“Ah!” You cried as he snapped his hips into you, the wetness of your pussy coating his entire cock, drawing him deeper into your cunt. “Don’t stop… fuck, f-fuck feels so good, so so good.”
“I know, baby…” He hissed vehemently, face buried into the crook of your neck as you let him fuck you faster, the slightly deep baritone of your tone intensifying the fact that he wants to ruin you, even if this wasn’t reality because god knows what he will do it had been, but for some reason, he didn’t felt any type of shame if this wasn’t a dream— just the carnal desire he felt for you, the girl who seemed to hate him for no valid reason.
You clutched the sheets as he pistons in and out of you, ultimately driving the both of you to each other’s peak.
He doesn’t let you touch him, his hand fixed to your wrists on top of your head as your jaw went slack, breath hitching as your legs trembled, alerting him that you were there.
“Fuck, spread your legs wider.” He demanded through gritted teeth, strong thighs stuttering against yours as you obediently did what he asked. “That’s it, pretty girl.”
It didn’t take long when the two of you finally came, you being the first to snap as he followed-through just a few seconds later, pulling out of you so he can cum on his bed sheet instead.
You immediately fell asleep right after, smiling through it all just like he did, the looming taste of regret awaiting to ruin everything in the morning.
Or would it?
//
You awoke to an unfamiliar bed, already panicking upon finding out you’ve been sleeping in his room the entire time so you quickly pad down the silent hall, disappearing inside your own room with a huff.
You ignore the throbbing headache in your head as sat on your bed, a little shaken and not knowing to go about explaining what just happened if he was aware of it, but you think he’s not even home or if he was, did he end up sleeping elsewhere?
You grabbed your crewneck and fixed yourself in front of the mirror, about to head downstairs and find him when you feel something odd, so you lift the hem of your dress, discovering that you didn’t even have an underwear on.
The memory of him taking it off you haunted your train of thought — last night felt too raw, too real and you think it maybe because you’re starting to be delusional, using the advantage of staying in his house and touch his stuff that weren’t yours.
You assume this might have catered to it all and you weren’t even sure if that’s something to be happy or angry about.
You figured it wasn’t — in fact, it was too wrong and you wanted out so you immediately text Tony for an update before heading downstairs to find Jeno.
Jeno, you learn, was not alone.
It was a Saturday after all, and he happens to be on the phone by the living room, his full attention watching the glowing fireplace in front of him, energy drink on-hand as your friend darted from the kitchen, immediately seeing you.
“Oh, she’s up!” She announced, running to hug you with a beam. “Jina and I are going to get our nails done and she’s picking me up, you wanna come?”
“Oh, um… that’s okay.” You falter as Jeno turned to look at you, gaze unreadable. “I’m leaving soon anyway, like going back to my place.”
“Oh! Well maybe next time? Jeno is leaving soon too but won’t be dropping me off. Jeno, help her okay?”
You avoid the way he’s looking at you now, quite embarrassed with the fact that you literally just slept in his bed and even dreamed of him fucking you. You just hoped he had no idea, and if he did know, you knew you couldn’t bear to show face any longer.
“I’ll plan us another date. Just you and I. I promise!”
You let your friend drag you to the entrance and albeit dazed from the unholy thoughts you were suddenly having about Jeno, you managed to brush it off and watch your friend leave, waving her a small good-bye, the guilt surging through you once again after seeing her.
You were just about to lock the door when you feel him hover behind you, the hairs on the back of your neck raising at the sound of his deep voice invading your cloud of thoughts.
“I’m gone for one night and you’re suddenly touching stuff that aren’t yours?”
So he did know. But does he know?
“I’m sorry…” You exhale, sighing regretfully but refused to look at him in the eye. “Got a little drunk then looked for the bathroom—“
“See… that wasn’t the only thing I’m upset about though.”
You gulped as you feel him walk closer so you slowly back away, the shocked gasp leaving your lips as you feel the pressure of the door behind you, him towering over you now.
“What?”
“Do you know what I’m talking about?” He questioned, a little on edge. “Don’t act dumb now.”
“I said I was drunk and I’m sorry.” You apologized sincerely, the overwhelming silence skyrocketing your anxiety. “If there was any damage—”
“No, that’s not…” You hear him chuckle as he drove his hand to the door, cornering you like a predator, but you remain still, stopping yourself from looking up or it was going to over. “Do I have to explain?”
“I don’t…”
“You don’t care about your friend, do you?”
Your eyes rounded in shock, immediately tilting your chin up so you can look at him in the eye this time, suddenly angry at his accusation.
“What made you say that?” You snapped, watching him shake his head in amusement but you weren’t buying it. “Jeno.”
“You’re something else.” He whispered softly, eyes searching something in yours before you feel him inch closer to your ear, his lips brushing across the shell of your ear. “You’re insane. Has anyone ever told you that?”
“Jeno, what the fuck?”
You pushed him off you but he could only laugh, head tilting to the side, a smirk now evident on his face.
He was too handsome, it almost drove you nuts if it wasn’t for the way he just insulted you.
“Guess I’d be the first but don’t worry, I’m not that angry, you know?”
You clenched your jaw, watching him advance to you again with an intent to pin you against the door.
“You’re full of shit. I don’t even know what the hell you’re talking about when all I’ve done is —”
“We fucked.” He sighed, reeling closer when you clamped your mouth shut, looking away from him. “Why, you thought you were dreaming?”
“You’re joking.”
“See, I’d like to think I was. The whole time I thought the same until I find you in my bed in the morning.”
You faltered, unable to think straight when you feel him trace the outline of your jaw, grabbing you by the chin gently to make you shift your attention back to him.
“Jeno.”
“You said my name too. Just like this.” His darkened gaze pierced yours, pupils blown. “You like me that much?”
“We can’t do this.” You grab his wrist, pushing him away with a huff. “It was a mistake!”
“I’d like to think the same but for some reason…” He took another step, completely caging you in just like you were always meant to be for him. “You’re fucking everything up.”
“How is that my fault —”
“You should’ve pursued me first, that’s all.”
Your eyes widen as he cradled your face, drawing you completely speechless.
Turns out, he was crazier, even more sinister with the way he’s touching you so inappropriately right now you feel like pushing him off and running out to escape but you simply couldn’t. You knew you wanted him too even if you shouldn’t.
Not when the damage has already been done, and you’ve opened a pandora box, unleashing his hidden desires on board with yours, the sinful thoughts you’ve been trying so hard to seal away for no one to figure out.
“You don’t give a fuck about her?” You swallowed a lump in your throat, a pained expression on your face as he kept up with his ministrations, his hand now holding yours. “Why are you touching me…”
“I like you.” He confesses with a shrug like it was something so simple to do, his piercing gaze meeting yours again. “You think I’m into your friend?”
“You’re sick.”
You say through gritted teeth, raw anger still there but the more you allowed him to stare you down like this, the more it dissipated. The desperate hold you had around it vanishing to thin air.
“And you think you’re not?”
There was that same fiery edge to his tone now, his grip around your hand tightening. You try to break free from his grasp until you hear his phone ring. You were just about to use that as way to completely push him away, but he cut you off, demanding you to stay still.
“We’re not done.”
You watch him answer the call, fear on your eyes when you discovered it as your friend asking if he could pass the phone over to you just because you weren’t answering yours.
“Talk to her.” He demanded, his stern tone sending shivers all over your body when you placed his phone near your ear.
“Hey,” You greeted your friend, trying to sound as normal as you could before shying away from the way Jeno’s eyeing you right now. “Was in the shower. What’s up?”
You let your friend take-over, asking if you wanted anything from a specific shop near the nail salon she was in and had been trying so hard to get your mind out of the gutter for the past minute that seemed to flow by in forever. You found yourself stuck in the middle — part of you wanted to tell her about what you did just like that no matter what the consequences were but the other half simply haunted you, did you really want to stop? When the guilt should be burning you alive right now but for some reason, you hardly felt anything and you weren’t sure what to make of that.
“You don’t care about your friend, do you?”
“The one with stars is cute but you don’t have to— it’s okay,” You shook your head, completely missing the fact that Jeno had gotten even closer. You catch on to him before he lowers his head to the side of your face, about to murmur something.
“Stop.” With the phone away from your lips, you attempt to get away but he only holds you still, hand fixed to the curve of your waist. “Jeno—”
“Just tell me the details later!” Your friend squealed over the phone. “And tell Jeno to read my text!”
The call ended just before you could utter something but the phone from your hand was snatched away in a millisecond, suddenly finding yourself gasping when Jeno placed his knee in between your thighs, feeling you up with his clothed knee, his hand now groping your breast.
“Quit it, won’t you?” You bit your lip, hand fisting his top as he placed an open-mouthed kiss on your collarbone. “You want to run away so bad but I can see it in your eyes. You want this as much as I do so don’t lie to yourself.”
“Jeno, stop,” You begged, arousal already pulling in your underwear when he forced you to grind down on his thigh, holding all your weight up alone with just that alone. “Jeno…”
“I’ll let you go f that’s what you want.” He grunted as you began to grind on him, growing more aroused with the way you were whining, struggling on his thigh. He challenged you, even if he knew you wouldn’t be able to resist all of this.
Resist him.
You whimpered as he removed his thigh between your legs, letting you off but you don’t make a move.
“You want to go?” You could only gaze back at him, completely in trance as he grinned down at you, his sardonic expression reeling you in. “Then go.”
It didn’t take long until you finally snapped altogether, crashing yourself to him to latch your lips on his in sheer frustration, an audible groan coming from him as he nibbled your bottom lip, lifting you up, hands all over your body.
Sooner or later, you found yourselves in bed, having to have exhausted each other but there were no words shared after it all.
You weren’t even sure what to do next as you laid there beside him, watching him sleep on his back, head turned away from yours. It was then you felt your heart crumble into pieces, the immense jolt of pain suddenly waking you up from trance.
Do I really want to do this?
You left the next morning just like that, not wanting to pursue this wrong deed at all, and without a word other as you hailed a taxi. You deleted and blocked his phone number and made a plan to somehow try to avoid him and your friend for the next few months, but it wasn’t simple like that, and yet, you tried to stay away.
For the next six months, it was like that — with you and your friend slowly falling apart because you no longer shared classes for second semester and you made no amends to even see or spend time with her, having to have met other friends you shared classes with and then her, with the boys and their girls.
You were also thankful of Jeno not pursuing anything with you too. You barely saw him around due to the fact that he did sign up for more sport-related activities so naturally, he disappeared from your sight. He must have thought that it was clearly a mistake just like you did, and you fought to repent for your sins and you wished he did too.
You didn’t keep track about anything that had to do with them anymore and decided to focus on your studies like you’ve always had from the beginning to prepare yourself for graduation and university requirements. Your great efforts did pay off in the end, having to graduate with almost on top of all your classes and getting into one of your top three universities.
Life seemed great for you — quite elated for the next journey you’re bound to go on for the next two years now that senior year was over and so was the evening dinner you had to attend because it was mandatory despite wanting to opt out of it but you made sure to leave early as you had no plans to sit in the fancy banquet of a five-star hotel and “get entertained” when everyone either sat around to chill or lose themselves in the dimmed down dance floor.
By 11 pm, you bid your goodbyes to a panel of teachers, one of them being your favourite, just in the next room in the hall, then gunned down to the parking lot where you parked your car.
You dug your keys in your purse, humming to yourself when you spot someone’s slick black shoes right next to your car so you stop and blink, shifting your attention the wide plain of his familiar broad back, his white dress shirt being the only article of clothing he has on with some tailored black plants that probably cost five months worth of rent.
“Jeno.”
“Nice ride you got.” He drew the cigarette away from his lips, grey smoke hitting your face as you slowly took a step back, unable to form any coherent sentence upon realizing that he’s standing before you now. “New model too. Gift, maybe?”
You do know you’ve been trying to avoid him.
As much as you tried however, he was there, always in a crowd and you never missed a handsome face like his. He burned in the back of your head so easily, but it was too difficult to get him out no matter how many distractions you could come with, and even if most of it worked in your favour he still lived inside your head like a parasite.
A parasite you may never end up getting rid of.
“I’m going home.” Was all you said, trying to stay stoic and unaffected as he advanced to you, even more irresistable now that he’s worked out more and grew his hair a little longer, a strand from his gelled back fringe curving on his forehead and it did nothing but clench your jaw.
He was just too handsome, you were close to believing no one would be able to resist him at all, not even the new arm candy he brought as a date to dinner since your he has apparently broken up with your friend a month before graduation due to a sudden drastic change in her family’s living situation.
You soon find out she was never coming back, and apparently “long distance relationships” wasn’t Jeno’s thing.
“This early?”
There was a coy smirk on his face, cigarette resting between his lips. You stood there, liking the smell, reminding you of your father back home so naturally, you stayed where you are, feet starting to hurt from the five inch heels you regretfully wore to dinner.
“Yeah, I have work the next morning.”
He’s one step away from you now, his full attention scanning your red dress from head to toe, liking the tight fit around your soft curves. You try to stand your ground anyway, albeit about to burst into shivers from the way he narrowed his eyes to you now, blowing another puff of grey you ended up inhaling into your system as well for how damn close he’s gotten, invading your comfort zone.
“That’s a shame.” He circled around you like some sort of a predator, but without touching you until you feel him stop just inches away, his hard chest brushing against your back. “Well go on, your car is right there.”
Your breath hitched as you began to walk to your car, unlocking the back door to throw your purse into with a slam. You don’t say anything as you placed your hand on the handle, chewing on your lips as he quirked an eyebrow, wanting to know what seemed to make you look a little stressed and all tensed up.
“Your date.” You slowly met his amused gaze. “How long?”
“Didn’t sleep with her if that’s what you were wondering.” You didn’t even want to lie — the wave of relief crashed through you, engulfing you in so you let go of the handle and headed to him, letting your burning desire drag you all the way to his arms as he pulled you into a suffocating embrace. “I knew you couldn’t resist me.”
Jeno flung his cigarette off his lips to kiss you hungrily causing you to moan in his mouth, tasting the peppermint candy he’s had and the slight bitterness from the cigarette but you didn’t care.
You didn’t care until he threw you in your backseat, ripping your underwear off you so easily and gave it to you right there and then, until you were in a verge of tears, unable to think straight as you moaned his name all over again like some sort of a mantra, dragging the both of you into eternal hell.
And to hell with him it is.

Do That Again
Summary - You meet a certain fellow after your roommate starts dating some guy.
Content Warnings - Language, heavy drinking, characters getting drunk, underaged drinking (please tell me if I missed anything)
A/N - I wrote this mostly because there are definitely a lack of Cassian x Reader fics out there and as much as I love Cass and Nesta, this felt necessary. *Do not repost my work without my express permission.* *Do not copy my work.*
1k words
✨ 💫
You and Cassian. Cassian and you. Attached at the hip in every sense of the phrase. If someone was looking for one of you, they’d find the other. The only time you weren’t together is if you didn’t have a class together or if one of you was going to the bathroom and even then if one of you was drunk enough… you might be in a close proximity.
You met Cassian through your friend and roommate, Feyre. Feyre, after a shitty high school boyfriend, met Rhysand at a party. Rhys was… well he was something. It was one of those situations where someone falls first and the other falls harder. Feyre fell hard. Like inches of cement hard. You’d be grinning with smug intent while Feyre’s face was absolutely red after getting back from an evening out with Rhys. Somewhere in the madness of first year the two crazy kids finally were official. You ensured you would meet him before summer break. You did.
As Feyre’s friend, and body-guard , you were of course critical of the man. He certainly had an ego. But below it all he felt right for your friend. He treated her like an individual, a partner—not a possession. The same night you met Cassian at a party. Admittedly you were a little drunk. Okay, you were more than a little drunk. Okay, fine! You were very drunk. Like hookup-with-your-friend drunk. Thankfully he was drunk too, less drunk, but still drunk. Somewhere between the drinks, bad music, and watching Feyre and Rhys be sickeningly smitten with each other you and Cassian found a connection. It was like in kindergarten when your eyes land on any random person in the room and think, you’re cool and we’re friends now.
You woke up the following morning with a hang-over on a couch to Feyre and Rhys stifling laughter. Your friend informed you it was the suite Rhysand and his friends shared on campus. How a group of first-years got that was beyond you, but you didn’t complain. You were still wearing your clothes and thanked the heavens you saw no vomit either. You managed yourself awake to see Cassian sprawled on the floor. You met Azriel that morning.
“For the headache,” he said, as he offered you a glass of water and Aspirin.
The three of you suffered while Feyre and Rhys remained wrapped up in each other all morning.
The connection with Cassian only grew faster. You kept in contact over the summer, both constantly joking about the disgust you felt for the budding relationship between your friends. In truth you both were happy for Rhys and Feyre. Upon your return for your Sophomore year of university, the friendship solidified itself. You were constantly together. Staying up late to get work done, eating, studying, getting stupid drunk at parties. Despite the humor and jokes, you also found a deep comfort from each other.
Cassian adored physical contact, which was perfect because you did too. Something you discovered when you woke up on the couch in the suite to your dear friend have a nightmare.
“Just a nightmare, Cass. Just a nightmare,” you reassured him. He had clung to you, falling back asleep soon after.
By the end of Sophomore year, you were literally inseparable, constantly draping over the other whenever you hung out as a group. A group you drunkenly named, Rhysand’s IC , because he was constantly parenting the rest of you alongside Feyre. IC standing for Idiot Children .
One particularly very early morning, around 1am, you and Cass were draped over each other on the couch in the suite. The conversation topic was stupid things you did as children, and Cassian was letting out a particularly loud laugh when a cold-faced looking Az stepped out of his room, asking you to “pipe down”.
Your junior year, Cassian managed a suite that could fit you and Feyre and you all lived together. Often times the night would end with Feyre and Rhys finding themselves together with you and Cassian sitting together having a drink while you braided Cass’s shoulder-length hair, talking about trivial matters.
Your final year, Feyre and Rhys chose to live off campus because they wanted a place to themselves leaving you, Cass, and Az to fend for yourselves. Az wound up with a single while you and Cassian chose to share a room to be closer to the center of campus. Azriel was a floor above you. You spent night after together, sitting in the corner of your room, watching a movie together, or talking, or sitting in silence enjoying the other’s company. In hindsight it was crazy how quickly college had gone by.
Cassian had become your dearest friend through it all. His humor you adored, but it was his caring and passionate nature which had you feeling more deeply for him. And suddenly you were stumbling back from an We’re Almost Graduated party Rhys and Feyre hosted.
✨💫
“There’s a spider on your shoulder!!” You shout as you stumble into your dorm room with Cass. You cackle as Cass squeals, squeezing his eyes shut.
You step forward to flick the spider off his shoulder and he screams making you laugh and nearly keel over. He catches you before you do, a hand landing on your hip. An electric buzz bolts through you. For all the times you’d been in contact this felt different. Maybe it’s the alcohol, the fact that his hand has never been on your hip before, or the the excitement of graduation.
“Cass?” You ask him, his hand still resting against your hip. Your breath hitches in your throat.
“Y/N?” His question is met with a moment of silence. And then suddenly Cassian’s hands are cupping your cheeks and he’s kissing you.
Your eyes flutter shut before he’s pulling away. The kiss somehow intoxicating and sobering. There’s a stupid grin on your best friends face. “You know how long I’ve wanted to do that?”
He’s met with silence for a while. You are unable to move. Finally you manage words. “Do that again.”
There is a mild question in his eyes.
“Do that again,” you repeat.
Cassian doesn’t need to be told a third time.

the state of juwon and kwon hyuk's relationship is so fascinating to me. flesh & blood son vs. son-my-father-wishes-he-had. that strange awkward and sometimes sad tension between them. a lot of it is a difference in backgrounds: juwon doesn't fully understand kwon hyuk's attachment to han kihwan nor kwon hyuk's willingness to serve and kiss up to someone like that, while kwon hyuk finds it difficult to fathom juwon's rebellion/resistance toward his father, who is an extremely powerful sponsor to have and represents to kwon hyuk a path to success, a way out of the implied desperation and poverty of his background.
they both like each other more than they realize and more than they'd want to admit. kwon hyuk has known juwon for a decade without Knowing him. they're both occupying several roles in each other's lives at once, all of them intersecting with each other, and the overlaps make it very awkward. kwon hyuk is juwon's brother figure and his former tutor and the middleman between him and his father and the fabled "kid your parents won't stop comparing you to" and also like, his colleague. a family friend. he's the only person juwon hangs out with, and their idea of "hanging out" is mostly just sitting parallel to each other in the private section of some gorgeous uppity seoul bar while kwon hyuk badgers juwon about friends and dating and, you know, pleasing his father.
kwon hyuk's approach to being a good hyung to juwon is also very funny. he's pretty serious about it. there's very obviously a part of him that wants to knock some sense into this elite rich prettyboy's head so that he doesn't get himself stuck in places kwon hyuk can't dig him back out of, but also this is made ineffective by the fact that his methods often rely on (unintentionally) condescending juwon, such as at the beginning of episode 10. which, like, he wasn't even wrong. juwon was absolutely not equipped to be facing lee dongsik.
the problem with his approach is that he's going by the older-sibling-who-is-better-than-you manual, half-chiding and half-lecturing, because he is not just juwon's hyung but also han kihwan's perfect little helper, the son figure he turns to, especially when his actual son disappoints him, which results in kwon hyuk feeling even more threatened by the need to be flawless and Unlike Juwon. due to their awkward inexplicable positions in each other's lives, juwon is wary of him for so long because he interprets the attention kwon hyuk gives him as an extension of kwon hyuk's supposed lifelong gratitude toward han kihwan. he's dissuaded by kwon hyuk's proximity to han kihwan. their relationship is burdened by the presence of juwon's father crowding out the potential space for closeness between them, which is, among other smaller reasons, the main reason why they can't grow any closer to each other. it quite literally takes the whole show and life-altering discoveries for juwon to finally open up enough that he becomes willing to reach out to kwon hyuk, not because he's 100% certain that kwon hyuk even likes him that much but because he's finally accepted the fact that, fine, he does care about this annoying snooty hyung of his, and cares enough that he doesn't want kwon hyuk to be caught in the crossfire.
and kwon hyuk does meet him halfway when he reaches out! juwon is rewarded by the narrative for letting himself be more honest and vulnerable with kwon hyuk than he's ever dared to be, and this time kwon hyuk considers his words and listens to him instead of treating him like a baby who doesn't know anything. it's sooo important to me that they're able to grow closer once han kihwan is out of the picture. it's so so important to me that juwon has people in his life who are not lee dongsik nor the rest of the manyang squad. i think post-canon both of them catch up sometimes when juwon's in seoul and it's—easier. better. feels realer.

𝚀𝚒𝚞/𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚞𝚖𝚗 𝙻𝚒𝚗
STEP 1
<> Since Qiu is a popular kid, it's likely that once they hear that you're sick from either your mom or from Mrs.Murray that they'd ask the class to make get well soon cards or maybe to just sign off on one he drew up during lecture. Maybe get the boy's squad into it as well.
<> Because he can't be there to take care of you himself, he'd definitely make it a daily habit, while your unwell, to come and check in after school/dance. Maybe he'd make a cup telephone if you're that sick.
<> I can totally see him asking his parents to help him make something healthy but delicous for you to eat to help get better. Maybe a traditional Chinese congee recipe or an herbal soup.
<> Once you get back to school he most definitely prioritizes spending time with you for the first day of your return, even if he's being asked by others to hang out. ESPECIALLY if this is a common occurance because of your health issues.
STEP 2
<> From what the public demo shows of step two, Autumn would willingly skip school to take care of you- especially if your mom can't be at home with you. Would most likely sneak in through your window, using the trees outside to get access to the roof (and to hide from any adults who'd stop them). Even if you tell them to go to school and to not worry about you- they'd stay anyways. Much like a cat honestly. "Who made you the boss?" type energy.
<> If it's one of those sicknesses where hot and cold flashes are a promenint symptom, they'd be so quick to hand over their jacket to you for while your sick. They'd expect it back once you're better, wash it first of course, but since they can't be with you the entire time you're sick (to avoid being caught) it's a nice sense of comfort. It'd be really comfortable too, especially if they were wearing it right before handing it over- all snug and warm.
<> The first day you're back in action, they'd go to school with you without much of a fight. They probably got in trouble for missing school by their parents, but they really don't care in that moment- they were taking care of you just like they had always done. In their own, closed off, way.
STEP 3
<> Having grown up and matured, I feel like step three Autumn is like a healthy blend of both his ten year old and their fourteen year old self. Being eighteen now and permitted to cook on his own- they'd most definitely make you your favorite sick foods, be it the Chinese style foods he's introduced you too or something from your own heritage. They'd happily make it for you while you were cozied up in bed or on the couch with his jacket or a sweater of theirs.
<> Qiu seems like the type who'd, if you asked, would wash your hair for you while sick or just in general. Being sick makes moving around harder, especially if you're the type to get extremely weak when ill- so he'd willingly do the simple tasks that people usually do in their everyday lives for you, at the drop of a hat.
<> We aren't sure if they're graduated or if he's in their last year of school in step three, so depending on which it is decideds on if they'd take notes on all of the subjects you share for you and retreive your missing work from your classes, or just be at your side unless something comes up and he had to leave your side for a bit. (They would definitely make sure that you wouldn't be left alone, calling Tamarack over for you.) Doting mother bird energy.
Tumblr media
𝚃𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚔 𝙱𝚊𝚞𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚗
STEP 1
<> Tama would definitely be the type to show up, nearly get sick due to proximity, then get scolded by her Omi and Opa to let you get better with the help of your mom. They'd most likely have to explain that her getting sick could affect them more harshly since they're older for her to actually listen.
<> Since she can't visit, she'd make a collection of forest trinkets to give you once you get better. Sometimes she'd hand over certain things to Qiu to have him give them to you- be it something from the forest that she feels needs to get to you asap, or if it's something she and her grandparents made together for you.
<> Would drop by before school or on the weekend to drop off a thermos of freshly brewed and steepened herbal tea, maybe a few handmade and specially cut sandwichs for you. She's definitely the type to peel off her crusts, so she would make sure Omi (the one who helped make this care package) did the same for you. After all- you both are the same with age, why would you like crusts when she didn't?
STEP 2
<> She may not take notes during class for herself, but if you did- she'd do it for you while you were gone. Collecting your work and Qiu's (despite not being friends, she'd do this for you- not them) so that neither of you fall too far behind.
<> She knows that Autumn is visiting you, she sees them waiting in the trees by your window for your mom to leave. She won't say anything, but should she have something for you and can't get it to you herself- she'd attempt to work with Qiu to get whatever it is too you. I won't lie- she'd probably feel really bad for not being able to visit as often as they do, but she can't just skip school or afternoon activities like Autumn does.
<> Never the less, she does her very best to visit when she can- would come over when she's free during the weekend with tea and biscuits for you both to share. If you're well enough to take notice of her insecurities about not being able to do much more than what she has already, she'd likely tell you about them without much proding- but will try to play it off as if it isn't a big deal. (Please give her a bear hug when you're better, she need it.)
STEP 3
<> Remember how I said Qiu would be like a mother bird in this step? Yeah. Tamarack is the same way, it's literally in her character bio for this step. "Rather than the 'mom-friend', Tamarack is semi-jokingly the 'grandma-friend' of her circle." You cannot tell me she wouldn't knit you a sweater or scarf whenever you're resting and/or don't need anything in the moment.
<> She and Autumn definitely take turns taking care of you if they're not outright working together to do so, they know your eighteen now and can take care of yourself, but they want to show you they genuinely care. AND Tamarack wants to make up for her lack of time with being able to do this as a teen and/or kid for you.
<> In the habit of making you tea, she'd definitely still do so even after eight years- unless you genuinely dislike tea...she'll find something to make you that'll help you get better quicker, she promises.
<> Definitely the type to hum 'A Spoonful of Sugar' while knitting or preparing something for you to eat and/or drink. She also believes it works too, because it does, whenever you have to take medicine she'll bring a spoon of honey (clover honey most likely, dunno why but it fits her) for you to have afterwards.
Tumblr media
I won't even lie- reading this back I can see a heavy resemblence between the trio of MC, Autumn, and Tamarack to the High Score Trio from The Promised Neverland (Norman, Ray, and Emma). It wasn't intentional I swear. ^^;

2 》Candle/Wax play - Dirty talk - A/B/O ― Honest Conversation [Fushiguro Toji x f!reader]
Having a dirty mouthed neighbor gotta be a headache, right? Right???
Tumblr media
TAGS!!! 1.8k, no penetration, dirty talk, teasing, no beta
Tumblr media
“Food’s ready, let’s go inside.”
I’ve invited Fushiguros over for dinner: my parents are out of town, my cousin has invited his friends over and instead of having the sensible thought and asking my friends, who’d be more than happy to stay over, my dumbass decided it would be more polite and a kind gesture to invite the family from the next door, who moved in not too long ago, the Fushiguros.
Mr Fushiguro Toji lives with his son, Megumi, who, despite his quiet demeanor, is a great kid. He occasionally visits to play video games with me. His father, on the other hand, oozes a terrifying aura. Each time this man passes me by, I feel the coldness pierce my skin, even if the heat scolds the place. His emerald eyes gloss over whenever we talk as if he is looking past me, somewhere deep into the abyss, and doesn’t give a damn about what I have to say. And while he looks mesmerized, I can’t help but admire the strong jawline, wide shoulders, long, bony fingers, and the very prominent vertical scar on the right side of his lips.
Tumblr media
After my cousin and I are finished with the preparations, I prance to find Toji outside on our patio, in complete darkness. I can only tell his approximate location by the burning red cigarette hanging between his lips. My vision adjusts to the lack of light, and I discover him sitting on a patio swing, legs crossed, one arm stretched over the top of the backrest, another hand carefully holding the cigarette.
“Food’s ready, let’s go inside,” in the silence and the pitch-darkness of the night, I can still make out the silhouette, strong digits holding the cigarette between them and his chest rising with each drag and dropping as he puffs out the smoke. If I strain my senses, I can hear steady breathing despite the heavy smog.
“When are your parents comin’ back?” he's not in a hurry, the apathetic voice draws a scoff out of me. He has no interest in my parents' whereabouts: he’s concerned whether his actions will have repercussions. I flop beside him, the swing can handle both of us. His muscles become aware of the proximity. They tense and flex underneath a grey skin-tight shirt.
“Why do you ask?” my question perks him up and in a moment, I feel his large palm clasp around my knee. Bold move. Tiny hairs all over my body stand tall, and the contrast between his frozen hand and my hot flesh creeps a shiver down my spine. His fingers dance on the soft skin and sneak upward.
“You wanna know why?” the question is rhetorical, he's not expecting an answer.
“Yeah, why not?” I get curious. Man who has been shamelessly flirting with me for the last couple of weeks, making up excuses to be near me and openly showing interest in yours truly, I know something fascinating is about to happen. He is brash and crass. His lips and fingers firmly grasp the cigarette, then he takes a long drag, and the smoke gradually steams out of his nostrils.
“I’m counting how many times I can nail their daughter,” my eyes lose focus when his fingers nip on the plump meat of my thigh.
“What gives you an idea I’ll sleep with you, willingly?”
“Won’t sleep with me?” he sneers and puffs the rest of the smoke in my face, “you put your ass in my face and now won’t sleep with me?” I wave the threads of smoke out of my sight with a pout.
“I’ve never done such a thing. Don’t be rude,” just his shit-eating grin gets me hot and bothered, but I’m not going to entertain his perversions further. However, his grip gets tighter on my thigh, literally nailing me to the spot. Even if we can barely make out each other’s shapes in the night, dimly lit by the moonlight, his large palm entraps me, squeezing my face and puckering my lips.
“You’ve never accidentally rubbed your ass on my dick, you’ve never accidentally forgotten to wear a bra, you’ve never accidentally kept your blinds open and undressed at your window,” his hot breath spills over my face, “you’d be in a bliss if I fucked you right here and now.”
“You wouldn’t touch me…” fueling his anger makes me tremble with excitement.
“You’re gonna start begging me,” he grits his teeth.
“Oh, I would never beg you…”
There and then, the invasion halts. He eases back, pressing his back on the backrest of the swing, lighting another cigarette, a large palm shielding the burning red end from nature’s elements. Early grip leaves burning marks and it tingles up to my groin. Toji's sudden attitude change brings me confusion and a little bit of discomfort. I can’t predict his actions if he’s calm or non-responsive. He puffs out a great deal of smoke out of his nostrils, and his glossed-over eyes dart away from me, somewhere in the distance, in the darkness of the night.
“So that’s how it is… Little girl thinks she’s so good,” he firmly smacks his lips, “so good, suddenly she doesn’t want the big old me.”
“Why would I –”
“How many times have you looked at me from your window?” he jams himself in the middle of my sentence. Index finger pointing at the garden of his house, whilst holding the cigarette perfectly still between the aforementioned finger and middle one, “While I’m out in the garden, how many times have you stared at me and thought what would you do to me?” he pauses, rolls eyes at his mistake and corrects himself, “no, what would you let me do to you?”
I hold my breath. My throat burns and feels parched, but not from the smoke I inhaled seconds ago.
“What do you think I’d let you do?”
“Oh, sweetheart, anything,” his eyebrows knot whilst his eyelids droop, “You’d let me do anything to you,” he sounds each syllable out, the smirk on his face looks sinister and depraved, “you’d suck me off under the table, if I asked you, nicely,” he mocks me, “I wonder if you drool each time you stare at my crotch and think how big it is?” his head cocks to the side.
I can’t help but keep quiet, Fushiguro’s hoarse husky voice sounds too good to be stopped in the middle.
“I can answer your question and quench your thirst, metaphorical and literal,” he jeers at me, “and tell you I’m big enough,” he leans forward, bringing himself closer to me and whispers, “big enough to hurt your tight cunt,” he leans back again, throwing head behind and whistling another round of smoke through his lips, “oh, I can imagine, you bouncing your ass on top of me, trying to adjust to the size, whining… Now that gets me hard.”
I swear it feels like I’m in a trance. He can’t be more right, but who in their right mind will admit they want to be fucked by an older male, who's referred to as “sir” or “Mr” by even my mother.
“You stare at my pants an awful lot, tryin’ to learn the shape by heart? How many times you’ve fingered yourself, wishing it was me?” “Never…” I spit out something. All the time, I meant.
“Oh, never?” he springs his head up, readjusting himself in his seat, “Well, me, on the other hand, I’ve thought of fuckin’ your pretty face on multiple occasions, darlin’” again with the mockery, “Especially in the morning, it would be fantastic: you, under the sheets, trying to fit all of my cock in your mouth, then you make a mess, and as a punishment, I’d have to mercilessly fuck you into the mattress, until you’re a blabbering mess.”
How many times have I thought of the same situations? Multiple times, multiple moments, multiple nights. My heart pounds in my chest, in an attempt to smash the ribcage wide open and toss itself out.
I snap out of my delusions the moment I feel a strong hand grasp my wrist and yank me toward itself. My hand presses against something firm.
“Can you feel how hard I am?” I can feel the stiffness underneath my fingertips and tell the size. My hunches are right. Also, he is truthful in his words. He’s well-endowed, “imagine what would happen if these little punks weren’t home. I’d fuck you stupid in your living room,” thoughtful pause, “or any room for that matter.”
Two can play at this game. If he’s going to drive me over the edge, I have tricks up my sleeve as well. They're not as effective, but still decent.
“Oh, I prefer being fucked against the wall,” his body jerks faintly, undivided attention to what I have to say, “your hands are big enough to wrap around my neck, and you’re big enough to carry me around,” in the meantime, my eyes adjust to the poor light, his starved expressions become clearer, “or I can try being a brat, then you’ll get mad at me and put me in my place, won’t you?”
“You’re playing with fire,” Toji hisses through his teeth.
“Ah, I have even better: it’d be best if you did me in front of a mirror, sir,” and I feel his cock twitch under my fingers. His body‘s honest with me, “You’d make me watch, wouldn’t you? Make me watch every time you’re thrusting inside, right?” Toji’s teeth gnash audibly, “Make me watch how big you are?”
In the meantime, his free hand figures its way behind me, griping my ass cheek so tight, if my body was any less dense, it’d spill between his fingers. It’s painstakingly hard for him to hold the cigarette in the other hand as well, instead of tossing it aside and teaching me a lesson. I continue.
“Your hands would look so good on my neck,” his long digits crunch the cigarette butt, “or anywhere. I have soft skin,” Toji’s hand slithered under my shirt, confirming simple facts, “To-ji,” I sing his name softly and feel another tremor under my hand. His pants are strained, but he’ll find no relief this time.
He leans closer to claim an undeserved kiss and I pull my head back. The pungent smell of the cigarette makes me scrunch my nose. His upper lip twitches, baring the white canine tooth.
"Oh, big teeth, do they leave dark bruises on tits?" his breath hitches. Before he demonstrates the sharpness of his fangs on my chest, I slip out of his flimsy grip, readjusting my crinkled clothes, “we have a dinner to attend to, sir~”
I love being the only spectator who recognizes the clouded, murky glares this man throws my way during the dinner, his fingers gripping the silver dinnerware almost to the point of bending them. I catch a glimpse of thick veins scarring the surface of the skin on his biceps as well.
After a lovely dinner, right before leaving for good, he hangs at the entrance door and lowers his head to whisper.
“If you’re not in my living room by 12 o'clock tomorrow morning, I’ll make sure the rest of the neighborhood hears you sob.”
I hold my fist up in front of him, poking the pinky finger out with as much innocence as I can muster.
“Promise, Mr. Fushiguro?”

Note
Milfman,
Having a thought about the one of the girls, it could be either Lottie, Shauna, or Jackie, in this.
But imagine your parents being friends and forcing the two of you to hang out ever since you guys were kids, expecting you both to become best friends and resenting THE FUCK out of each other. Whether it’s because of the forced proximity, differing personalities or whatever, you guys just hate each other. You guys end up not seeing each other for a few years before your parents force you guys together once again for like a weekend or a ski trip or something, and Lottie/Jackie/Shauna FALLS IMMEDIATELY. You ended up working out or glowing up in one way or another and they don’t know how to act. They spend the entire time trying to get you to like them, get you alone or just overall flirt with you.
What’re we thinking/feeling about this
i feel like this is definitely a jackie prompt. some girlfailure shit her ass would do. i feel like jackie had a lot of stuff forced on her as a kid and you were probably one of the easiest ways she had to rebel against that. yall being like super bitchy and underhanded all the time. like your getting in actual physical fights (nothing major because jackies a little wuss when it comes to pain) and always trying to get the other in trouble. like yall were giving tattletale for sure.
anyways im thinking your dad probably moved you away for a job or something so yall stopped seeing each other for like 6 years or some shit. just long enough for your glow uppppp. you've been excited for this trip and already have your bitchy response prepared and jackie takes one look at you and trips over her own feet. jackie's fully prepared to be an uber bitch but god damn have you gotten hot lmaoooo.
jackie tries flirting with you at first but your still kind of mocking her about it since you think shes like making fun of you somehow (you think jackies playing chess but she can't even play checkers). jackie realizes she kind of likes the mocking and is a little embarrassed about it but decides to go full brat in response.
like shes grabbing for the last cookie like "oops were you going to eat that? 🤭". she purposely eats it slowly in front of you while your staring in anger. she's changing the radio station just as you get into the song, knocking your chair out from under you just as your about to sit down, etc. she's really committed to being bratie taylor. all the while she's giggling and giving you flirty looks while you get angrier and angrier.
you finally get mad enough to get physical with her like you did when you were kids and just press her up against the wall as she tries to grab for your drink or something. jackie looks a mixture of smug and turned on as shes pinned in place, her eyes keep purposefully drifting to your lips. if she wants it so bad you guess she can have it, right? and if she's too tired and satisfied in the morning to bug you that's just another benefit.

Headcanon: Cedric's first love was the previous queen of Enchancia, Lorelei.
I didn't created this headcanon, it has been around the fandom for some time, but I wanted to do my take on it.
Tumblr media
TW: death, not being able to have kids, the queen died during the birth of her children, unrequited love, rejection, grief.
Cedric met Lorelei when he was a young apprentice, right before he started studying at Hexley Hall.
It happened when Lorelei's parents (the queen and the king from a nearby kingdom) came to visit the Enchancia castle for political contracts and peace treaties with King Roland I (again, this isn't my idea, it's from a fanfic). They spent some months in Enchancia and Lorelei soon made friends with the children in the castle, such as Roland, Cedric, Cordelia and Tilly, and as much as she loved everyone else's company, Cedric was her best friend and she could always count on him.
School started and Roland, Tilly and Lorelei started studying at the royal prep, while Cedric and Cordelia went to Hexley Hall. Because of the friendship between King Roland I and Lorelei's parents, and also the proximity between these kingdoms, they often travelled to Enchancia, sometimes even to go on vacation and spend some time with their close friends.
That way, Lorelei often spent her time playing with the boys and having girl talk with the girls, Cedric shared the little amount of spells he knew at the time, and they often went to the gardens, it was their place to hang out.
Cedric didn't had many friends, even before the incident. He had an older sister, and she was the closest friend he had, but despite for Cordelia, Roland was always busy with prince stuff and him and Tilly were never really close, so when Cedric wasn't on Hexley Hall with his classmates, he only had Cordelia and Lorelei.
When the incident happened, Cedric was around 9 years old, and his life was never the same ever since. Everyone started to see him as a nuisance, he got dirty looks in the hallways and cruel comments, and those white bangs on his head didn't help him forget his mistake (or who he believed he was- a burden, good for nothing, and the worse sorcerer of his bloodline). Cordelia wasn't so close to him anymore, even still being his sister, she was acting like his father and always pointing out his behaviors and mistakes, so Cedric didn't felt like her friend anymore.
The only person who still saw him for the person he is was Lorelei. She was like an angel in his life. It didn't mattered how many times she saw him failing, for her, Cedric was still an amazing young sorcerer — and friend. While Cedric was constantly bullied at Hexley Hall and Roland stopped being his friend, Lorelei stayed.
He didn't saw her everyday because she studied in a different school and they were from different kingdoms, but they always spent some time together when Lorelei's family came to visit the kingdom, some little times per month, and whole travels around 1 or 2 times per year.
The frequency of Lorelei's family's presence at Enchancia Castle and the friendship she had with the princes sparked conversations about what a cute couple Lorelei could make with Roland when they grew up. And that wasn't a big deal for Cedric, because they all knew, from the start, that Roland and Lorelei would be a couple, whether it was due to an alliance of kingdoms, or even simply because they were very close and would look adorable together. When Cedric was little of course he was a little jealous of Lorelei with her friends, it wasn't romantic at all but rather the fact that he wanted to spend more time with her, since the other children already had enough friends and he didn't. And yes, he knew about the closeness between Roland and Lorelei, but Cedric didn't mind since he only saw himself as her friend, almost like how he felt with Cordelia some years ago.
As the years passed, Cedric continued to be mistreated. The children were growing up and Roland's behavior was becoming harsher towards Cedric. He wasn't a complete idiot, he was still the usual Roland as always, but now he was completely invested in the thought that Cedric was a bungler, and Cedric hated that. Cedric missed their friendship more than anything in this world. Due to the judgments of everyone, even his own family and classmates at Hexley Hall, Cedric became more reclusive and lonely, except for his raven Wormwood who was always by his side. Cedric wasn't rude and always felt less than others, apologizing for any minor inconvenience, but when he was alone he complained about the life he had, he was becoming bitter and reclusive.
Lorelei always tried to help Cedric and convince people to believe in him, but it didn't change his life, especially since she wasn't there every day. She tried to convince Roland to trust Cedric a little more, and also to apologize for the times he was harsher with him, which worked from time to time, but it didn't change the way Cedric and Roland thought about each other. On the other hand, Lorelei was getting closer to Roland and rumors about their romance were gaining more prominence as they got older. Cedric was worried, because despite knowing that Roland was a good person, he couldn't trust him because of the way Roland saw Cedric- even though he couldn't blame him for that, everyone saw him that way. He had concerns about his great friend Lorelei courting one of the people who made him feel so bad, but he knew that because Lorelei wasn't Cedric, Roland wouldn't be mean to her... which reassured him in some aspects, but in others it made him feel even worse.
Around Prince Roland's 17th birthday, King Roland I passed away. Although Roland was very young, the queen did not want to take the throne and neither did Princess Tilly, so Roland was the successor. He always wanted to be king and his family decided to give him that title, even if it was a little too soon. At this age, Lorelai had gained permission to travel alone between kingdoms and only needed to take a carriage, so she visited whenever she wanted. Due to Roland's grief and his new role as king, he was very tired and overwhelmed, and needed Lorelei's help more than ever. They got even closer to eachother and the feelings they were developing for quite some time now were starting to really show up.
Cedric however wasn't any better. His life remained the same and so did his frustration. But now there was an even worse little problem, a problem he had been struggling with since he was 13 years old. He was in love with Lorelei. Cedric felt like she was the only person who understood him, but not only that, she was the only one who was nice to him. Lorelei was like a morning breeze that brought him a breath of fresh air whenever he came into her presence. She was beautiful, polite, kind, and everything about her brought butterflies to his stomach. He had been trying to suppress it for a long time, but seeing her getting close to Roland broke his heart, and Cedric didn't even have the right to complain.
Everyone knew that even though they weren't officially a couple, Lorelei and Roland belonged to each other. Cedric on the other hand was just a newly appointed royal sorcerer, and was an idiot in his own right. He didn't think he was smart, attractive, talented, and he wasn't even royalty. A princess was way out of his league, especially one as beautiful and close to Roland as Lorelei. Instead of mourning his unrequited love, Cedric accepted that this was how it had to be and put himself in his place. But he couldn't help but feel his heart melt every time she hugged him and told him he was the best friend she could ever have.
Cedric kept his feelings to himself and let his friend live her life the way it should be, and the way she wants. He also remained bitter about the whole issue of his social life and wondered if people would recognize his value if he became the king, but how? The idea became his favorite daydream, not only because he wanted others to recognize him, but also to get revenge for what they did to him... and he knew that Lorelei would hate the idea. As he watched her, Cedric imagined what she would feel when she found out what he was up to with the kingdom she loved so much, and with Roland, so he kept that from her too.
While Lorelei strengthened her bond with Roland, Cedric still saw her and they were still great friends. Spending time with her made his mind light and he forgot about the problems in his life. They would stay in the gardens at night looking at the stars and talking about how they were feeling about life, things that were happening in each other's kingdoms, and generally taking a break from the routine. And many of those times Cedric felt like kissing her, ending once and for all what he felt in his chest... but he couldn't bring himself to do it. She wouldn't want to have anything with someone like him, and even if she wanted, she couldn't. Sometimes, in those same moments, he felt that Lorelei wanted him back too, but he knew he was just being deluded.
Extra paragraph (you can consider it part of the story or not): In one of these nights, however, something happened between them. The night was so peaceful and they were feeling so comfortable with each other that they shared their first kiss. The moment was like a dream — but one that Cedric immediately needed to interrupt as soon as their display of affection finished, because he couldn't let it develop into something bigger, and he couldn't let himself believe that he had a chance with her. Furthermore, Lorelei was Roland's and there was no debate about that, even if they weren't even courting yet, Lorelai was not and could never be his. Lorelei apologized to him immediately, knowing how sudden this was, and Cedric did the same. They never spoke about that again.
It didn't take long for the news that Roland and Lorelei were courting to spread throughout the castle and both kingdoms. Everyone loved the couple, even the villagers, and they had everything they needed to be the sweetest royal couple in decades, after all, the people were waiting for their romance to happen for years.
It was around the age of 25 that Roland and Lorelei announced their marriage. Cedric was happy for them, he was genuinely happy for Lorelei's happiness (maybe not for Roland's though), despite pushing his feelings aside. It was during an afternoon that Lorelei went to him to ask to be the best man at her wedding, and despite really wanting to refuse, Cedric couldn't bring himself to do it. She was his best friend and they grew up together. It was clear that this wasn't Roland's idea, because he would never choose an idiot to have such an important role on their wedding — But Lorelei, on the other way, always defended him from Roland. And then Cedric accepted, and the wedding was beautiful.
Roland and Lorelei rode throughout the village in a carriage, complete with rice throwing and music, alongside the commoners who shouted their names in chorus or stuff like "long live the king and queen!". It was amazing to see, and Cedric was happy for them, especially for Lorelei, who looked beautiful in her wedding dress and happier than she could ever be if she were with Cedric.
A few years later, at their late 20s, Roland and Lorelei tried to have successors. They didn't tell anyone about this for obvious reasons, until the situation started to become frustrating, and they no longer knew what to do. They consulted doctors, and Lorelai herself asked Cedric for a magic potion or spell that might just make it work, but it was no use (and, well, that was indeed something unsettling for him to know). Roland and Lorelei had already given up, and soon after, Lorelei simply started having dizziness and symptoms, and then they discovered that it was true, they were expecting a baby. The entire kingdom celebrated with joy, and Cedric, even though it hurt a bit, also did. Lorelei was very happy, and for that, he was glad.
Time passed and several months later, Lorelei went into labor. It was a very complicated procedure for the doctors who were present, of course. They suspected something wasn't right as soon as they started, and after a very difficult and painful afternoon, she had two twins, one 7 minutes apart from the other. She saw her two children and was so happy to have them, and the names she was previously deciding on whether she would have a boy or a girl were now both being used. King Roland was called and some other important people too, like Tilly, Baileywick, the former queen, and Lorelei's family, who were informed about the labor a few hours earlier. Everything was going great, but then Lorelei kept complaining of constant pain, and she wouldn't stop bleeding.
The meeting for the birth of the heirs, then, became something darker than it should have been. The doctors examined her and found that she was bleeding too much, and that unfortunately, they couldn't do anything. Maybe in another time, where medicine was more advanced, but not in Enchancia yet. They informed her and her family that, with the way it was going, Lorelei would not survive until tomorrow, or even until that day's night. The gathering for the birth of the babies became a condolence gathering for the Queen on her deathbed. That's how Cedric came slamming the door, and running until he knelt next to Lorelei. She was pale as a ghost, as if the joy on her face had disappeared.
With her lying there, on the verge of death, Cedric wanted to tell her the truth, but he couldn't. He couldn't do that, even if the room was empty and there were only the two of them there. Cedric couldn't see her like this, and after saying goodbye to her, he returned to his tower at dusk because he couldn't stand there and watch her die. And then, as the doctors said, Lorelei died as soon as night fell.
Cedric looked for many to blame. At first, Cedric had hatred for the twins, because if it weren't for them tearing her body in half, Lorelei would still be alive and full of light. But after his conscience took over, Cedric understood that it made no sense to be angry at such innocent beings for an unfortunate incident, especially Lorelei's children, who she loved so much and wanted so much to have. Instead, for a time, Cedric hated Roland, because if there hadn't been this miserable tradition of always having to create heirs for the throne, Lorelei would still be alive too. But in the end he knew that this was stupid too, since Lorelei always loved children and wanted these babies so much.
He was angry with Roland, but that's always been the case. He wanted to blame him for all the problems in his life, but he knew he couldn't. Roland didn't know that his wife would die too, and he also loved her as much as Cedric did. In truth, there was no one to blame in Lorelei's death, and things happened simply because that's life. It took Cedric a while to accept this, but he did.
(And if at the time he ended up finding out that Lorelei was only pregnant because Roland made a wish at a wishing well, even though he knew she was incapable of having children, Cedric would have had a big fight with him. Not a fight of words, but one of shouting, pushing, punching and who knows even worse. It would be a violent fight where at least one of them would be bedridden, and in Cedric's case, in the dungeon).
Over time, Lorelei's absence in his life was painful, but it certainly eased as time passed... However, on the other hand, unfortunately now Cedric was alone with Roland's (and the whole kingdom) ignorant comments. He had no one else to find comfort in, no one to understand him, just Wormwood- the crow, and only friend of his for a long time. Increasingly lonely and increasingly distant from social life, Cedric became a bitter and sullen sorcerer. The desires he always had to take the throne remained stronger than ever, and he always tried to find a way to achieve them, while he sank deeper and deeper into his loneliness and unhealthy habits, which he always had too, but which got worse after Lorelei's death, and he didn't even notice.
Cedric didn't like spending time with the young princes, both because he didn't like children, children are to messy and he can't stand loud cries, he didn't get along with them and the king's children reminded him a lot of Lorelei (and her death). As time passed and the wound healed, the reasons became more about the fact that he didn't know how to deal with children, despite sometimes seeing the queen in some of the heirs' traits.
As he became more and more self-centered and moody, King Roland remarried, this time to a commoner named Miranda, who soon became the queen. Just a week after her wedding ceremony, there was the arrival of the new Princess Sofia and the expectation of a ball in her honor in a few days.
As a gift from her new father, Sofia received the amulet of Avalor, which immediately made Cedric attracted to its magical properties and the use he could make of it in taking the throne. What he didn't know was that this little girl would be the cause of change in his life, and that in her he would have the friend he hadn't had for many, many years.

The first time the Morelli family met my family was during a trip we made to Greece during summer. Our families sat close to each other during the meals in the restaurant and our parents talked with each other, making us, the kids, hang out together.
The first time I saw Dafne Morelli, she was wearing a pink summer dress with little flowers in it, with her long chocolate hair tied in two pigtails, and her tiny hand wrapped around a plushie of a cat.
At first, we were friends, as friends as you can be with someone you just met. Her sisters and my brothers were the same age, the two of us were middle kids, and somehow we understood each other.
The first time she said she hated me was a day I was feeling completely sick, wasted. That day I woke up with a stomach ache and I tried to hide it, not wanting to worry my parents, and somehow not wanting to miss the fun of the day.
Our families went together to a beach near the hotel, planning on spending the entire day there, having lunch in a restaurant that is on the first row in front of the beach. I tried my best to seat something, but that made it worse and the nausea kept growing, making me feel anxious.
“Charlie, are you okay?” Dafne was the first one to notice that something bad was happening to me, looking at me worried.
“Yeah, don't worry”
I barely went to the water that day, staying in the towel, sitting there alone. Until Dafne came to sit next to me.
“Are you sure you are okay?”
I nodded, looking away and making her sigh. But she stayed there with me. For a moment I thought I was feeling better, so I got up and looked at her, reaching for her hand.
“Let's walk to those rocks, I saw a cat over there”
She got up with a jump and grabbed my hand, walking with me and searching with her blue eyes for a cat.  And when we found it, she smiled wide. She clapped her tiny hands softly, looking at the calico cat.
“It's so cute!” she gasped, pointing her finger to the animal. “Did you know that in Japan they think that a calico cat means luck?”
“Oh really?” I smiled looking at her.
“Yes! They think that they scare the ghosts, that's why the men that work on the ships brought them with them. To scare the ghosts” she nodded.
“How do you know that?”
“I'm a cat lover”
I laughed and she looked at me, then at the cat.
But what happened next was what started it all.
She held my cheeks with her hands and pressed her lips on mine quickly, making me flinch and keep my eyes closed. That was my first kiss.
Maybe it was the nerves because of it, or the fact that I ate when my stomach refused to be nice, or maybe it was the smell of the sea.
But the moment she took a step back, looking at me with a wide smile, I threw up right in front of her, coughing and gasping.
I heard her gasp and fall back, making her hurt her hands and cry. I gasped once I felt my stomach empty, looking at her, watching how her hands had blood and tiny rocks in it and her eyes full of tears.
“I hate you, Charles Leclerc!” she cried, trying to get up and running away from me. She never called me by my full name.
Dafne Morelli. My first kiss. And the one that hates me the most.
Tumblr media
When I started karting, my family invited her family to join us.
Dafne never talked to me again, and somehow I felt bad because of it. It was like I didn't exist after that incident on the Greek beach. Even if I tried to explain myself, she always walked away, hugging her cat plushie.
I got confused because of that. At first I thought it was because she felt embarrassed, because I threw up just the moment after she kissed me. During all that week when our families were together for the first time, Dafne and I were stuck to each other, playing together and taking naps in the same bed.
At first I thought it was because she discovered the boys were disgusting. But then I saw her with Jules, smiling and talking with him, blushing.
And somehow, that feeling I never knew I could feel, grew wild. Jealousy. I was jealous. But of what? Of who?
I saw her talking with other boys, smiling and laughing. And when she was near me, everything I received was a glacial gaze, with her blue eyes freezing me even on the hottest day of July.
But what I hated the most is that she started karting too. That Jules was helping her too. That sometimes she was better than me. That, no matter what, she always had her chin up and a proud smile, even if she lost a race or her engine stopped working.
I started to hate her confidence. How people helped her. How, after she took me out of a race and I was practically sent to the mud, everyone ran to her to check if she was alright.
“Why do you hate her?” Jules asked me after I recognized, for the first time, that I hated her. “She's not bad”
“She is” I groaned. “She makes mistakes and people still congratulate her. It's because she's a girl? I'm doing better than her and no one comes to celebrate my podium like how they go to celebrate her points”
“You are jealous” he sighed. “You have to understand that girls do not always succeed in this sport. People cheer for her because she's brave and she tries. Why do you keep making it harder for her?”
Jules always knew that my career was going to be brilliant. He helped me be on the teams I liked, talked about me to the team principals. And he did the same with Dafne.
And I should feel proud that a woman I know was becoming famous, getting the credits for everything she did.
But why couldn't I? Why did I always have to keep fighting her, teasing her? Why did I have that need of challenging her to see where her limit was?
At some point, I forgot why I hated her. Was it because I was jealous? Or maybe because I
was afraid of who she would become if no one stops her? Maybe because people like her more.
Tumblr media
The morning I woke up next to her I felt somehow familiar.
That scent, one that never changed, was next to me again, making me dream with my childhood and those beaches with crystal clear water. It was warm and soft, making me remember that little girl that always asked me to take naps with her.
But when I noticed it was her, I immediately knew that it was a mistake.
Her loud voice made my ears ring, starting a headache I would have for the rest of the day.
When she made me look around the room I understood it. I slept with her.  And our naked bodies and the clothes spread over the floor said that it wasn't only that.
The anger she held in her eyes was something I never saw and it made my heart squeeze tightly, making me swallow thickly and take a step back.
But then, again, words started to blurb without control out of my mouth, making me dissociate from my own body and not understand what was happening. Why am I insulting her? Why is she screaming? Why am I provoking her? Why… Why did she say she slept with Mick? Why, why, why?
The moment her heel hit my chest and threatened me I knew I had to leave before things started to get worse.
This time I fucked up. Big time.
Jules would be so disappointed with me. So, so, so disappointed. And disgusted.
When I closed the door behind me I gasped, turning around and just facing the door of my own room.
I thought it was my room. I had sex with Dafne thinking it was Melanie.
I clench my jaw and search for the key to my room, opening it carefully. But then I found something that, somehow, I knew it could happen.
Melanie with a random guy on my bed. Of course.
“Get out” I said, standing in front of the bed and looking at them. “The two of you. Now!”
They woke up and gasped, hiding their bodies with the blanket. I scoffed, shaking my head and grabbing clean clothes, searching for my phone.
Fuck, where did I leave it? I couldn't find it last night. Where is it? Maybe in the club of the hotel.
“You better be out of this room once I come back” I told Melanie and the other guy. “And whatever that you thought that was going on between us, is done”
I groan and get dressed in the bathroom, not looking at them before walking out of the room.
My mind was spiraling, getting flashbacks from last night. The words I said about Dafne. How angry she was. How did I get to this point? Why? Why can't I stop?
When I went to the club and asked if they found a phone, I knew someone stole it when the guard said there wasn't a phone on lost objects.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” I groaned, walking away and going back to the room. Thankfully, Melanie and that guy were no longer there.
I sat on the bed and sighed, looking around. Where is my phone, God damn it.
After searching all over the room, and not finding it, I gave up and packed all my stuff to leave the room and go home. I'll have to give up the private jet and go home by car, using the GPS of the car and probably listening to the radio.
I walked out of the room with my backpack and suitcase, going to the hall and looking around to see if I could find my family. But they probably left already. Great.
I sighed, going to my car and placing my things there, starting the engine and driving out of the city, driving through the road on my way home.
Nearly four hours of silence, only with the occasional voice of the GPS. I hated it, but I started to think about everything that happened.
Did I really say that Dafne sucked dicks to get on her seat? That she doesn't deserve to be in Formula 1? Who was saying that? Me?
Twenty years of knowing each other and I still can't understand why I hate her and why she hates me. And it feels that the only thing we know to do when we are around each other is to fight. Why can't we stop? It's so exhausting fighting with her. Why can't I go back in time and tell that little girl that I was feeling sick, that I needed to throw up and stay in bed?
Tumblr media
The moment I opened the door of my apartment I felt my body heavier than ever. I was exhausted, my head was going to explode and the only thing I wanted to do was sleep until tomorrow.
But I knew I had to do things. I had to go to the bank to cancel my account, just in case whoever stole my phone decided to give themselves a feast and use the card of the phone to buy things. I had to go to the phone company to cancel my card and ask them to give me a new one. I had to use my laptop to close all the social media on my phone.
It felt like I was isolated. Things were happening without me knowing it. People were saying things without me knowing it.
I spent most of the day out, taking care of things and even buying a new phone, assuming I wasn't going to see my old phone anymore.
At first I didn't notice it, but everyone I found in the street or people from the stores were staring at me. Not in a good way, that's what I noticed after the fourth store I walked in. The smiles and welcomes were inexistent. No one walked towards me to take pictures with me.
When I went back to my apartment, there was another pair of shoes at the front door.
Melanie.
“What are you doing here” I frowned, leaving the bags on the table. “I think I left it clear that I was done with you”
“You actually don't hate her, do you?”
I frown looking at her, clenching my jaw. What is she talking about?
“It’s only a facade” she said. “Come on, it makes sense! And it's perfect for marketing. What was the fandom calling it… Oh, right! Enemies to lovers”
“What are you talking about, Melanie” I frowned.
“You know, at first I was curious when I found out about you” she nodded. “When we matched on Raya I searched for you on Instagram. And there was something that caught my attention. You like brunettes. But not only that. Brunettes with blue eyes”
I clench my jaw, listening to her. There's no way she's saying what I think she will say.
“And then I saw her” she laughed. “Your so-called enemy, Dafne Morelli. How curious, huh? Brunette and blue eyes. You clearly have a type. And that made me think… You dated girls that look like her because you can't have her? That's so ridiculous, you know?”
“Who I date is none of your business” I frowned, trying to defend myself.
“Don't worry” she laughed. “In fact, I helped you to make it more obvious that you hate her. Just so no one will suspect about you being in love with your teammate”
“You are crazy” I groaned. “Me in love with her? Don't make me laugh”
“It wasn't me who went to her room last night to fuck her” she said. “And here's your phone”
I frown and look at her, grabbing her bag and placing my phone on the table. She had it? All this time?
“You should thank me” she smiled. “I probably saved you from telling a lie in public”
“A lie?” I frown.
“Oh, yeah” she chuckled. “Your boss sent you a text asking you to apologize for the words you said last night. I mean, you know what they say about drunk people, that they always tell the truth. And yesterday you were wasted”
I clench my jaw and grab my phone. She knew my code, I told her. What the fuck did she do?
“What have you done” I frown while reading the messages.
“What you deserve” she laughed, getting up and walking past me. “You wanted to win? I helped you. You're welcome”
Before I could say anything to her, the door of the apartment closed behind her. I grabbed my phone and read everything. The messages I didn't write, the punishment I'll receive. Then the posts on Twitter and Instagram about what happened last night. The hate towards Dafne.
What have I done?
~
Days went by. My family stopped talking to me disappointed by my actions. I don't blame them, I deserve it.
I tried to talk with Dafne's sisters, but none of them texted back.
The days I went to Maranello she wasn't there, somehow she found a way of avoiding me just by looking a t the schedule.
Everyone in the factory was mad with me, disappointed. And it's all my fault. I reached the limit of what was acceptable. And even if I thought about going to talk with Fred and explain that I didn't write those texts, I knew he wouldn't believe me. Why would he? He knew about my rivalry with Dafne.
So I had to accept the blame. I felt ashamed of myself.
“I just don't get it, mate” Pierre sighed, sitting next to me after we went to the golf course. “I knew you and Dafne were rivals since forever, even during karting. But what you said the other Sunday… I'm sorry, but I never imagined you would say something like that”
“I guess… I guess I'm jealous” I sighed. “And I know it sounds childish, that's the worst. But somehow, whenever I see her near me I dissociate and let my body work, watching how it acts alone without me knowing what's going on”
“And why can't you try and talk with her, to explain?” he sighed.
“Believe me, I tried to do that twenty years ago” I sighed, shaking my head. “And she just ignored me, running away. And I probably made her family hate me. So… Hurray…”
I sigh and hold my head with my hands, taking a deep breath.
“You know she's receiving hate, right?” he sighed.
“I know… and it's my fault” I groaned. “And I can't apologize because Melanie just did the stupidest thing ever and no one will believe me”
“I told you that girl was suspicious and you never heard…” Pierre laughed weakly, patting my back. “But maybe you should find another way to apologize. I don't know… Use your imagination”
“Yeah, sure” I sighed. “Can you… Can you ask Kika to keep an eye on her? I know they are friends”
“Of course” he nodded.
When I went back to my apartment I frowned when the receptionist called me to give me a letter.
“Seems important, sir” he said. “The mailman came asking for you to give it in hand, but I told him you were out. He asked me to give it to you personally”
“Thank you” I nodded, grabbing the letter and going to my apartment.
I sighed, sitting on the couch and looking at the envelope, opening it.
And then my breath hitched when I read what it said.
She reported me. She really reported me for defamation.
Fuck.

Take What You Need - [Mack X David]
Tumblr media
A/N: Idk if you all are ready. But here we are. I would like to thank Starbucks for their gracious hosting of me while my internet tried to cockblock Mack and David harder than Lucie and Con. And I would like to thank my vanilla oat milk latte for helping me power through. Also, I can’t post this without thanking the bestest of the besties @casualhilarity. I’d be lost in this world without you 😭 This one is for you!
Enjoy 6.7k words of Mackenzie Hischier and David Carlson finally giving in.
Tumblr media
Mack’s eye open as the wheels of the Airbus A340-300 slap down on the tarmac at JFK. The roar from the massive plane breaking on the asphalt roars through her audiobook as she blinks away her dreamless sleep.
“On behalf of our flight crew at Swiss Air, we are excited to be the first ones to welcome you to New York City…”
Mack stretches her neck, looking over at the woman next to her, still engrossed with her book. To the left, Mack can see the skyline outlining the metropolis she calls home for now. Her eyes scan over the buildings as she bites her lip.
Good to be home, she murmurs internally.
Good to be back in the place she went running from two weeks ago.
14 days ago to the day, she laid awake at Lucie’s unable to stop thinking about the mustached man tucked away in his apartment. She kept tossing and turning, trying to decide what she wanted to do with David Carlson and his insistent proposition. When no clear decision came to her, Mack did what she does best and dove into work. An opportunity had been in her inbox in the morning and she jumped to take it. It just happened to be in Switzerland. Perplexingly, Mack hasn’t heard from David since that night either. No cheeky texts. No general inquires. Nothing. Not even when she has been missing from Stella’s dance recital. Mack had talked to Lucie a few days ago, but she didn’t bring up David or if he was asking about her either.
Fine. She didn’t care anyway. I guess that tells her more about her answer than any forced proximity or space would. She isn’t interested. Next time she sees him, her answer will be a firm and resounding no.
“Ms. Hischier, always a joy to have you on board.” One of the pilots, Bruno, nods in greeting when Mack gets to the plane door. “We hope to see you again soon on Swiss Air.” This personal treatment always happens on this airline, dating back to when she was a kid and her dad had a partnership deal with them. She remembers getting a pair of clip on wings every flight to and from Switzerland while hanging from her mom’s hand.
“I’m sure you will.” She jokes. “Thanks for the smooth flight.”
Mack turns out of the plane, ready to begin her long journey home. She glides through customs easily with her global entry and dual citizenship, thanks mom and dad, then rushes to grab her bag from the baggage carousel. When she finds the sleek black case, she hoists it off. With the wheels spinning next to her, she hails a cab, then nestles in for her ride home. She tips the driver, then smiles at Ron, her doorman, coming down the stairs to open the door for her.
“Back sooner than usual, Ms. Hischier.” Ron greets her.
“Work trip, so not much family time.” She is more than capable of carrying her bag up the stairs, but every time he insists for her. He grabs the door, twirling the handle of her suitcase back to her.
“You should stop by the desk before you head up. There is a delivery for you.” The delivery in question is visible from the door. A beautiful vase of hydrangeas, roses and lilies in various shades of pink has a card peaking out from the top. She knows who they are from before she even reads the note.
Sorry we missed you, Mackie! Hope these brighten your other home for you. We love you!
See you next month. Love, Mom and Dad.
Mack smiles, snapping a picture and sending it off to the two people she didn’t get to see when she was home. Her parents had a pre-scheduled Mediterranean vacation. They tried to come home early when they heard she was in Switzerland. Mack had thrown a fit, insisting they couldn’t possibly change plans because of her. Her parents rarely get time away from Switzerland. The would surly be in New York again soon to visit. She would see them, apparently, in a month.
Tiredly, Mack goes upstairs, unlocking her apartment and falling into bed face down. She curls into her pillow, the sheets she washed before she left. She knows she should get up, not give in to the sleep whispering seductively in her brain, but she can’t help it. Her bed is too welcoming. She falls asleep curled into a comma on top of her comforter. it is dark outside when she wakes up.
“Shit.” She moans to herself, smacking her face with her palm. She is going to be up all night. She grabs her phone, scanning through her texts. There is one from her parents, a picture of them drinking umbrella drinks on a rooftop overlooking the sea. The others are from her older sister, asking if she is still coming over for dinner tonight.
I hate when you do this 🙄 Tacos are at 6. Let me know if you aren’t coming so I don’t worry.
Sorry, I fell asleep. I’m on my way.
It’s 5:38. She should be able to make it on time for dinner.
When Mack walks out of the elevator on Connor and Lucie’s floor, her heart begins to pound excitedly at the person standing outside of their door. Stella Wood is wrapped around David’s leg, begging him not to go. All the pretending that Mack doesn’t want the man in front of her evaporates. As if she hasn’t been gone for two weeks, Mack’s internal turmoil begins to churn where it left off. She longs to touch him even with the knowledge that they can’t be so forward about such things in front of present company. If they were alone, she would run her fingers through his black hair and lean in slightly to kiss him, knowing he would go most of the way to her anyway.
“Stelly, I gotta. I’m meeting a friend.” David pats the young girl’s hair lovingly with his palm.
“You’re so secretive about this friend.” Connor jokes as Mack gets closer. Her stomach tightens then swirls. The recklessness of such a reaction has Mack’s steps faltering. Friend? What friend. David and Connor glance over to Mack as they hear her footsteps swipe along the carpet. David grins at her, making Mack’s chest even tighter.
“Welcome home.” David murmurs as she comes to a stop to his right. He looks so handsome and sexy. He is dressed in a pair of nice, worn in jeans. There is a bulge in his back pocket where his wallet rests. A dark wool coat drapes over his big shoulders while underneath is a waffled, cream sweater. On his feet brown dress boots are tied tightly, looking new and rarely worn.
“Thanks.”
“You fell asleep?” Connor asks.
“Yeah.”
“You’re fucked.”
“Yeah, I know. I travel internationally more than you, bud.” She pats Connor’s arm as she walks between the boys and into the apartment. Mack withstands the urge to inhale David’s scent as she does.
“That is why she is my least favorite sister in law.” Connor jokes to David.
“Ha-ha.” Mack shoves Connor’s ass with her Ugg boot.
“So who is this friend?” Connor asks David again, clearly not wanting to let it go. Mack glances at David who is staring beyond his teammate at her.
“Just someone from home.” He says. He licks his lips, then pulls his gaze off Mack as she walks away to say hi to her niece. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Bye, David! Keep my husband in line on the road!” Lucie yells from the kitchen.
“Luc, I don’t think you know what you ask of me.” David calls back to her.
“Dude.” Connor snaps, slapping David’s stomach. “Tell her the truth.”
“He is lame as hell.” David confirms.
“Yeah, baby, I’m lame as hell.” Connor repeats.
“I’m sure you are.” Lucie nods. David tosses another wave to the group then leaves. Slight disappointment, scratches at Mack’s eyes. “Hi Mackie.” Lucie opens her arms for her sister. Mack curls into her, wanting to lay on her shoulder for a minute. “Oh, she so sleepy. Did you miss mom and dad on your trip? Apparently they are in Greece?” Lucie pets her hair for a moment.
“Yeah, I missed them by a day.”
“Mack.” Lucie rolls her eyes. “You could have stayed another day to say hi.”
“I could have.” Mack nods, reaching into the shredded cheese bowl and grabbing a pinch to eat. “But I know they’ll be here soon anyway. Apparently in a month?”
“You and I are not the same.”
“Nope.” Mack sighs. “Do you need help?”
“Can you bring all the toppings to the table?” Mack nods. “Stell, please go wash your hands. Bring your daddy too!”
The rest of the night is spent munching on tacos, talking about Mack’s travel, and Connor’s upcoming road trip. Then they each have a homemade cookie, ice cream sandwich, with sprinkles wrapped around the ice cream filling. Lucie made them and wants everyone’s honest feedback. They all agree, even picky Stella, they are a 10!
“Is David back from his date yet? He should come try one.”
“He says it wasn’t a date.” Connor shrugs.
“Then why is he so weird about who it was with?”
“I don’t know. He is kinda weird about his Iowa life.” Connor mumbles. “Probably because big city women don’t get it.”
“I apologized.” Mack snips.
“He really appreciated it.” Connor says sincerely. Mack knows that. She can still feel his lips on hers weeks later. “I’ll text him babe.” Connor says to Lucie. “What do you want to watch?”
“You two pick. I’m going to get Stell ready for bed.”
Mack takes the remote from Connor, who seems more interested in watching reels to pick an actual movie or show to watch. A knock sounds at the door as she is reading the summary of a documentary on the Ocean.
“No, I don’t wanna learn.” Connor instantly nixes what is on the screen as he stands up.
“You’ve never learned a thing in your life.” Mack snorts. Connor opens the door.
“See.. this… right here, Mack.” He snaps her fingers to get her attention. She looks over her shoulder, then startles a bit at seeing David with a 12 pack of Modelo. “This is a good friend.”
“Cause he brings beer?” Mack laughs. “Your standards are impossibly low, Wood.”
“And yet I bagged your sister.”
“Yes, because her standards are impossibly low.”
“Says the girl no one is good enough for.” David murmurs, then drops a bottle of beer over her right shoulder.
“I need a bottle opener.” David takes the bottle back, cracks the top open with the ring on his right hand, then hands it back to her. “Here, princess.” He is in a mood. Mack furrows her eyebrows, watching as he plops down on the couch next to her. He tips the bottle back, glugging down half of it.
“Dude, what is up?” Connor asks, sensing the angst in his teammate like Mack.
“Dinner didn’t go well.”
“She wouldn’t come back to your place?” Connor moves into the kitchen with the rest of the beer.
“It wasn’t with a she.” David rolls his eyes. “It was with my shithead brother.”
“Which one?”
“Exactly.” David scoffs, slumping down more on the couch. He widens his thighs farther apart, jiggling his left foot anxiously. Connor continues to put beer away in the fridge. Mack observes David’s down posture, hating the way he looks so frustrated and deflated.
“What happened?” She asks quietly to David. He turns to look at her. His eyes scour over her face, almost like he is trying to decide if he trusts her. Then he sighs and looks away.
“He asked me for money. And a lawyer. That’s all he ever wants from me.” He mutters, shaking his head again. Mack remembers her conversation with Lucie in the bathroom before the mentor’s trip. How his brothers both have significant issues and use David for what they want.
“I’m sorry.” She says sincerely, a deep frown pulling her mouth down. He looks over at her again, licking his lips. Lucie calls Connor from Stella’s room. Mack and David are quiet as he goes to join his girls down the hall.
“You go to Switzerland to get out of giving me an answer?” David immediately changes the subject when Connor is gone.
“No.” She answers anxiously. Neither of them are convinced.
“Blink if it’s yes.” He grins at her.
“Oh shut up.” She rolls her eyes, pushing his thigh with her foot. He captures it in his hand, holding it hostage. His fingers on her has her heartbeat pounding in her ribs. So much for firmly saying no to this man. God, what is happening to her?
“Don’t blink, baby.” His voice lowers, getting husky around the edges as he devours her with his eyes. That’s what is happening to her. His pull is too strong for her to overcome. Mack’s lashes flutter from the heat and need she instantly feels building in her core
“Mackncheeeee.” He sing-songs, holding the vowel at the end of her nickname. He leans over and nips right behind her ear.
“Oh my god.” She startles, then shoves him back into his spot. They both notice how her fingers stay curled into his cream sweater, like she can’t decide if she wants him to stay there or pull him back over to her. One by one, she releases them, then puts her hand on her own chest.
“I’m going to make an excuse to leave and go back to my place. Meet me down there.” He reaches out, cupping her cheek. Mack turns into his touch. This lingering decision cannot be put off any more. Her eyes hesitantly reach his. He wants her. His green eyes burn with liquified fire for her. Mack chews her bottom lip as David finish his beer, then stands. He tosses his bottle in the recycling bin, then goes down to say goodbye to Connor and Lucie. He goes back to the freezer, grabbing an ice cream sandwich that Mack is sure Lucie insisted he needed to take.
He comes into the living room again, stroking along Mack’s cheek before he teases her lips with his. His thumb traces down the center of her throat as their eyes stare. Then, without any confirmation that she is coming, David leaves. Mack’s whole body stays still. She tentatively breathes, mind running a million miles an hour. She closes her eyes, swallowing hard, then opens them when Lucie and Connor come down the hall together.
“What are we watching?” Her sister wonders.
“Um, I actually have to go.”
“Oh, are you okay?” Lucie asks. Mack nods her head.
“Do you need some water or-”
“No. I just need to go.” Mack insists, standing up.
“Are you okay to go by yourself? Connor, walk her-“
“No. I’m good.” Mack nods, then gives a faint smile.
After rushed goodbyes, Mack’s back hits the steel of the elevator. The box descends. She waits for the door to open on David’s floor. She pauses in the doorway, licking her lips, so nervous for what she is about to do. Then she shakes her head, turning to the left, walking down to the one with the 4 numbers of his unit beside it. She stares at the grey door, imagining him tucked behind it, waiting for her. A shiver of pleasure zig-zags from her scalp to her toes. She raises her hand and knocks. His soft footsteps come closer to the door. She looks down at her boots. The lock flips. She raises her gaze and meets his head on.
David slowly opens the door, then leans his shoulder against it. He cocks an eyebrow at Mack.
Leap! Her need roars. So she does.
“Yes.” She whispers. His second eyebrow dashes up, his mouth drops a little open.
“Say it again.” He demands.
“Yes.” Mack says more forcefully, then she stuffs the last remaining shred of doubt down deep into her stomach for another time.
Mack shoves David back into his apartment with two palms on his chest. David barely gets the door shut behind her, their mouths attacking each other. As she pushes him farther back, he wraps his arms around her. Mack places his back against the opposite wall, near his living room. She loosens her grip now that she has the leverage of the wall.  David takes advantage of the opportunity to twirl her, then pin her against the wall with his hips.
His hands slide down to grab her wrists, bringing them up by her head and pinning them there. She moans into his mouth. He loosens his grip in response, moving his hands around her waist again to eagerly pull her flush against him. She brings her hands to his hair and shoulder. His hands glide from her waist to connect with the backs of her thighs, hoisting her up. Mack clings to him like she did a few weeks ago, unable to get close enough to his heat.
They roll down the hallway to, presumably, his bedroom. Mack has never been here and as much as she wants to look around, she wants him to fuck her more. She reaches down, between their abdomens, rolling her hips back so it will fit. His hands on her ass dig in, wanting to keep her close. He lowers her a bit, letting the apex of her thighs hit the hard erection she was working towards. Mack shudders at how large he feels. She knows, without even seeing it, he will be the biggest she has ever had. David must sense her hesitation.
“I’ll make it good, honey. I know how to use it.” He murmurs. His tone is the sexiest and sweetest elixir of temptation.
Into his bedroom, David strides. Mack pulls back from him, looking down at his face. He smiles at her. She smiles back, then purses her lips, feeling excited flutters assault the walls of her stomach. His palms let her legs slide down until her feet touch the floor again. She steps to the left, he turns to follow her, his back towards the bed. She forces him down, standing triumphantly between his spread thighs. Teasingly, she pulls her shirt up over her head, leaving her in the lace bralette she put on just in case. David’s green eyes feast on her as she loses that too. It falls to the floor. She pauses, nodding at him to take something off. He sheds his sweater fast, exposing an incredible body, taut from hockey and farming. Fuck, he is so hot. It makes Mack’s brain dizzy and her pussy clench around a frustrating emptiness.
David’s fingers wander to the belt on his jeans, opening it up. He pops the button and zipper down too, almost looking relieved to not have his dick confined so tightly anymore. He lifts his hips, working them to his ankles. Mack leans forward, putting a palm on his abdomen, scraping her nails down the hard ridges until she gets to the Calvin Klein waistband. Her fingers grip the white elastic, then tug. She watches with glittering eyes as his cock springs free. She inhales heavily. David watches her with such intensity, like he can know every thought of hers if he doesn't take his eyes off her face. She bites her lip, swarming butterflies filling her stomach with anticipation of having him buried deep inside of her soaked core. Her pussy flutters again then she backs up as David sits up. He presses his mouth to her abdomen.
“Wanna see you.” He murmurs, grabbing the waistband of her leggings and tugging down. He brings her panties with, practically sneering at the wet trail down Mack’s thighs from how drenched she is. “So wet for me.” He mumbles. “Been wondering how you taste here.”
His fingers slide through insistently, confidently, like he’s been there hundreds of times. Mack can’t help but wondering if he has in his mind. All the times he touched himself to the thought of her. She spreads her thighs wider, swaying forward when he rolls her clit once. David’s hand goes around to her back and he forces her more forward until she falls. Her palms hit the bed, catching her momentum as he explores her folds with his more dominant hand.
His fingers play with her slickness, gathering more from her entrance and spreading it against her clit. Mack moans urgently. David grabs the back of her thigh, then glides his fingers down to her knee, lifting. He maneuvers out from between her legs, then gets on his knees behind her. Mack’s eyebrows furrow, she is about to ask him where he is going with this when she feels his mouth against her folds. She jolts forward. He brings a hand up to her hip to steady her. Mack arches into his tongue swimming through her folds, on it’s way to her clit.
“Holy.” Mack squeaks. This is far from Mack’s first time, but the way he sucks her clit brings new sensations to her core. She falls a bit more forward, gripping the sheets in front of her. “Oh…” She says again. She starts saying words before she even has time to think of them, completely uninhibited squeals streaming from her lips.
David devours her pussy like it’s his favorite meal and he’s been starved for days. His tongue does a majority or the stroking and building. Then he goes in for the kill, sucking her sensitive bud into his mouth, rolling and prodding, until Mack’s legs and arms start to shake. She comes hard, wetness dripping down from her entrance and collecting on his chin. In thirty seconds, he has ripped her first orgasm from deep in her core.
Mack blinks rapidly, trying to catch her breath. She looks down at her hands fisting the comforter, trying to release them but she can’t. That’s when she realizes she is still coming. She jolts against his face again. His nose bumps her clit as he kisses his way out from between her thighs.
Once will not be enough with him. Any hope of that is dashed.
“You taste so good for me.” He murmurs. “Sweet and desperate. You been desperate for me, Mack?” She swallows hard, closing her eyes and nodding. “Never thought I’d see you speechless.”
“I-I- Oh.” She finished with a profound moan as he glides a finger into her entrance. She clenches around it desperately.
“Need me so bad, huh, honey? Need this cock to split you open?” His filthy words have her collapsing forward, losing the battle of staying upright. David taps her hip. “Lay on your back.” Mack rolls compliantly. He climbs onto the bed beside her, long hard cock bouncing with each of his movements. Mack reaches for it.
“Not yet. Trust me.” He murmurs, leaning down to kiss her. She can taste herself on him, melting into the bed as he swipes along her right nipple. His lips coast along hers, dropping lazy and wet smooches. Mack moans loudly as his fingers glide over her soaked folds, rolling her clit gently, careful not to overstimulate her, then fills her entrance with them. “Those skinny Swiss boys you hook up with make you feel like this? Heard that’s your type.”
“No.” Mack chokes.
“Didn’t think so. You need to be fucked by a real man.” He lays on his side next to her, playing between her legs like he has all day to pleasure her. “Didn’t think I could take care of you?” He stuffs a third finger in. Mack gasps, feeling the stretch. “This is how big I am.” He coos to her. Mack gets wetter, they both feel it. He grins, kissing her neck. “My needy girl. Show me you can take this cock.” He begins thrusting harder into her. Mack’s hips shift up, searching for more. He stretches his fingers, then curls the pad of his middle one up to circle her velvet button.
“C-close, Davi-d…”
“Yeah you fucking are. Let go for me, honey.” Mack’s whole body tenses, legs shaking violently on his sheets.
“Oh fuck.” Mack groans, jolting forward as a second, harder orgasm grips her. She turns on her hip towards David, thrusting down onto his hand. Her thigh hits his hip. He pulls her close. She can feel his dick against her other leg as she shakes. Her whole body seems to grip his fingers, pulling them deeper.
“That’s it, baby. Use me. Take what you need.” Mack groans as she goes limp when her orgasm completely releases. Her limbs have turned to gelatin. She no longer can speak, barely breathing, and he hasn’t even put himself inside of her yet. While Mack recovers, David kisses along her face for a few more moments, taking the limited breath she is capable of breathing right now. Then he rolls away from her. Mack closes her eyes, trying to refocus.
David reaches to his bedside table. He grabs a foiled condom, tearing it open with his teeth before rolling it down his shaft. Mack watches, lip folded between her teeth. He didn’t even ask. He just did it out of respect for her, not putting her in the awkward position to say yes and then watch how disappointed he is at her answer. At least in her previous experience.
“Ready for one last ride, baby?”
“Wha-?”
Suddenly, David has her on top of him. She looks down anxiously, feeling how unsteady her legs and core already are. Her muscles still shake. There is no way she has the strength for this.
“David, I can’t…”
“Shhhhh baby, you think I’m gonna make you work now?” He chuckles lowly at her confusion, plants his feet flat on the mattress and grips her hips in both hands, “I got you baby.”
He glides her carefully down his cock. The stretch is a pinch, even with his fingers preparing her, it stings for a few moments. He rocks her forward and back, getting her comfortable, watching her face. Her moan croaks from her chest when the pinch turns to raw pleasure. Mack jolts forward as David thrusts up into her, hands scrabbling on his chest to hold herself up as he fucks deep up inside her, hitting her spot with every thrust.
“Oh, oh, oh, oh.” Mack hears herself moaning. “Oh fuck. Oh mygOD.” She cries out. “Don’t stop.” She bites down hard on his shoulder. David moans loudly at the pain.
“Feel so fucking good for me, Mackenzie. Such a good fucking girl, aren’t you? You like big cock, huh?”
“Yes! Yes!” Mack yells back. “David, I’m… oh shit…” Mack feels the creamy release of the most intense orgasm of her life slide down his latex wrapped shaft, collecting on his balls and making a mess between her thighs. David enjoys the feeling of her coming undone on his cock. She clenches down tighter. This spurs him on more as his jerky thrusts chase his own white hot release. He falls into it seconds later, turning his face into her hair, moaning her name desperately, holding her to him like she’s his only tie to this planet.
David reaches around Mack’s spent body. He grips the latex at the bottom of his shaft, then gently eases out of her. Mack whimpers at how empty she feels without him, pressing her face deeper into his neck. His head and shoulder lean down as an attempt to hug her head.
“You okay, pretty girl?” Mack nods, then kisses his throat. He hums in appreciation of her gesture. “I’m going to take care of this okay?”
“No. Not yet.” She whispers.
The second his skin moves from hers, reality is going to begin to descend- what they just did, how he made her feel, the things they said to each other. It’s going to be a cold bath of the truth Mack isn’t ready. She wants to stay here for hours until she can memorize every part of what they just experienced. David kisses her forehead, feathering his fingers over her spine.
This continues for several more minutes of quiet contentment. Then, when the reality of a leaking mess is close, he moves her to the side, off his chest. His hand runs the length of her body. After, he struts to the bathroom, holding the latex tight to his softening form.
Mack rolls to her back, trying to put words to what she feels. Before this moment, sex had always been so transactional. You help me, I help you. We feel someone else’s touch besides our own and go our separate ways. Never has it felt like that. She never craved sex before. She liked it, had fun plenty of times, but it was never an all consuming fuckfest focused on her pleasure.
Mack hears the shower turn on in the adjoining bathroom. Apparently he is a shower after sex kinda guy. For some reason, that really bothers Mack. She wants to go home smelling like him and he can’t wait to wash her off? She sits up, glancing around for her clothes. She avoids David’s gaze as he comes out of the bathroom. She is trying to decide how to get off the bed without smearing what is on her thighs across the sheets when David comes over, holding a hand out to her. She takes it and he pulls her up, putting an arm under her knees. He carries her into the bathroom then delicately puts her feet on the bath rug. He lets her test her weight on her legs. They both see how she is basically Ariel coming out of the sea for the first time, so he keeps an arm wrapped around her waist as he test the temperature of the water.
For once, Mack and David are quiet within each other’s presence. David washes her hair and skin, sudsing her up with no hidden agenda, taking care of her worn out body. She holds onto his back or hip or stomach the entire time, needing to be close to him as he attentively loves on her body. When they are both clean, David pulls her into his chest, turning so her back is hitting the steam, but her face remains out. He presses his mouth to the top of her head, swaying them gently. Mack could fall asleep right here with him in this warm and comfortable cocoon.
“Done?” He murmurs a few moments later. Mack nods. They step out together. David wraps her up in a fluffy towel. “I don’t really… have any um, lotion or anything?” He says, but brings out what he does. She sees CeraVe daily moisturizer and figures that is enough for now. He watches her smooth it out on her cheeks. She holds up some extra on her fingers.
“You need some?”
“Mhm.” He murmurs, presenting his face at her. While she works it over his skin, he makes funny faces at her. She chuckles. His eyes are closed, so he uses her hips as a steadying anchor for him.
“All done.” She tells him, rubbing the rest into her hands.
“Am I as pretty as you now?” Mack blushes.
“Close.” David nibbles at his mustache as he looks at her intently. Mack looks away, seeing so many emotions and words that it is too early to talk about. They walk together into his bedroom. Mack glances at her clothes again, then walks over to where her shirt is.
“Don’t you dare. We sleep naked in this house.” The question hangs in the air. Is she staying? Or is she going? To both of their surprise, Mack drops the towel and gets back into the sheets they ruined earlier in the evening. David slides in next to her and without hesitation, pulls her into his arms. “Are you comfortable?” He asks her.
“I usually sleep on my right side.” She is currently on her left. She didn’t want to turn her back to him immediately, feeling that was rude. He lifts the covers so she can roll. She does, then nuzzles her bare backside into his bare front. She closes her eyes, feeling his cock stir against her still puffy lips. She is going to be sore in the morning.
David holds her tight to his chest. Mack trails her nails over his forearm, feeling the heaviness of her eyes. She thought she would be up all night.
Luckily, David found the solution to her jet-lag.
- - -
In her dream, Mack is wrapped up in a cozy blanket at her parents cabin in the Swiss mountains. The fireplace pops in front of her as she wiggles her way deeper into the warmth of the fluff. A bit of sweat is forming at her hairline, but the comfortable feeling outweighs everything else. Someone is under the blanket with her. She can’t tell who in her dream, but his light breathing tickles her hair as she looks out at the falling snow.
Her eyes suddenly get lighter and pop open. Gone is the Swiss snow and in its place is a room she has never seen before. Was this the dream instead? She inhales, then stiffens in the heavy arms wrapped under and around her. What the-
“Don’t get weird on me, Hischier.” David mumbles sleepily behind her. The rush of memories crash into her. Their lips and the desperation and the steamy connection. Mack gets warm instantly, inhaling heavily, but relaxes into his body. She brings her arm out of the covers, hoping to release some of the furnace under the blankets with them. Damn, he is burning hot behind her.
He runs his finger tips along her arm, easing forward to kiss her shoulder. Mack sighs, pressing her hips back into his. She can feel his solid length pressing into her cheeks, then the awareness of a dull ache between her legs. Despite that, her nipples tighten as David continues to gently stroke her skin. Her hips instinctively press back into him more, giving David all the approvals for a playful morning.
From her arm, his fingers glide across her chest, playing with each nipple until they are aching point, sending pleasureful need to her throbbing clit. His fingers work their way there soon. Mack spreads her legs eagerly for him, pressing down into his touch.
“You like helping.” He mumbles gruffly. His rough voice coated in sleep makes her wetter. She loves the idea of being the first thing he has in the morning.
David’s fingers continue their lazy wander, working her up. He alternates between thumbing her nipples and rolling her clit with two fingers. Then he does both, catching Mack’s head on his shoulder as she moans.
“Needed a real man to touch you, hmm? Never felt like this before have you? Practically coming the second I touch you.” She nods. Then he moves south, the pain of his finger tip circling her sore entrance is too much for her to work though.
“I-I’m too sore for that.” She murmurs regretfully. He backs off immediately.
“S’okay, honey. You’ll get used to me.” He kisses her neck softly. His fingers glide up her slickness to rest against her clit again. “This okay?” He asks. She nods eagerly. He rolls the pads over her, taking his time so he can memorize every curve and place that makes Mack press harder against his firm cock. He settles himself slightly between her cheeks, then rubs her to her morning bliss. She comes with a soft cry of his name, so much gentler than last night. He finishes her off with a kiss on the back of her neck. Her eyes are closed, but she brings her hand around to his hip, holding him while she recovers.
Mack feels more than hears David get out of bed. She turns, surprised.
“As much as I want to do that about three more times, I’ve gotta get going.” He tells her questioning look. He walks into the bathroom, shutting the door. When he comes back, Mack is waiting for an answer, blanket tucked under her arm pits. “I’m heading to practice, then we are heading on the road immediately after.”
“Oh. Yeah.” She remembers. She lays back into her pillow, yawning.
“You even do that cute.” He chuckles. Mack smiles at him, but has to roll her eyes too. Now he’s just sucking up.
Mack watches him get ready, stuffing down the disappointment she feels at him disappearing from New York for a few days. She wants to ask him when he will be back, but she doesn’t want to appear desperate. Well, any more than she already has in the past 12 hours. After putting a suit on, he goes back into the bathroom then emerges with a travel bag. He tosses it into the duffle bag on a chair by the door, then zips it up. Mack can see the LV on the black leather from here. It surprises her. She wouldn’t pick David for a designer kind of guy.
He comes over to her side of the bed, putting his palms on either side of her to lock her in place. She drinks him in, admiring the complimentary tailoring of his green suit. It makes his eyes look like exploding emeralds, especially in the morning light filtering in. His black tie swings down by her chest. She grips it, tugging him down inch by slow inch with the silky fabric.
“There is breakfast food in the fridge. Help yourself to whatever you want. I do have milk if you want some oatmeal.” He quips. “I’m sorry I can’t stay.” He goes the remaining distance without her help, kissing her. “Or bring you back to your place.”
“Most hook ups don’t do breakfast or drop offs.”
“Or sleep over.” He points out. He’s got Mack there. “You gonna hide from me when I get back?” Although his tone is light, there is a seriousness to his question.
“Maybe.” She smirks as she says it, wanting to keep this interaction light.
“Something tells me you’ll be back for more.” He moves his eyes down her body, drinking her in, all tangled up in his soft sheets. Mack rolls her eyes, ignoring how true that is. He burst apart her world and put it back together last night with him as the center of it.
“Something tells me you’ll still be interested even if I’m not.” She sits up, letting the blanket fall down to her lap, exposing her bare chest. He grins, leaning forward and tickling her nipple with his mustache. Mack breathes in deeply, then lets her head fall back towards the ceiling as he sucks it into his mouth. His nose traces over it too.
“I’ll see ya, honey.” He murmurs after kissing her breast tenderly. Then he stands up, full hard on displayed while he heads to his travel bag by the door. “I’ll leave the spare key on the counter for you.” He calls over his shoulder as he leaves the room.
“What? We are definitely not there yet.” Mack calls. He pops his head back in.
“No, but I’d appreciate it if you could lock my door when you leave.” Mack purses her lips together, dimples turning pink at her embarrassing assumption. She nods after clearing her throat awkwardly.
“Yeah. I’ll do that.”
“Thank you.” He murmurs, laughing heartily at her sheepish look.
Mack waits until she hears the apartment door close behind him. Then she collapses back into his bed, laughing loudly and excitedly. She can’t help but kick her feet too, rolling around a few times to get tangled up completely in the blankets like a burrito. The outside world peaks in from an opening in the curtains. She watches a few birds fly by the window. As they soar through the air, sun soaking their feathers, they tweet their greeting to her then continue on.
Mack reaches out at them, content smile on her face, feeling as free as they are this morning.

Obviously, with your newfound happiness, the universe decides to throw a wrench in your plans.
Your plans with Tim, specifically, as in the ones for your date.
Everything is fine, initially. Despite being a self-proclaimed night owl, Tim has surprised you multiple times this week by letting himself in at a quarter till seven and making you coffee and a quick breakfast and packing you a lunch while you get up and get dressed. Of course, he will then head straight back to his apartment and go back to sleep for several hours and he gets more than a few kisses out of it, so, it’s not a particularly arduous task, you don’t think.
And it is, of course, a deeply pleasant thing for you because you would never say no to seeing him in the mornings before work. Especially not with how you step out of the bathroom, finished getting dressed, and there he is, dozing at the little table in your kitchen, only lifting his head when you near and you can never stop yourself from running your fingers through his hair, his arms sliding around your waist as he nuzzles his face into your belly and mumbles, “Morning, gorgeous,” voice still raspy with sleep and it takes everything in you not to melt into a puddle right then and there.
It calls forth some admittedly indulgent visions for the future, a future you are starting to find you desperately want. One where you can share a bed with him, where, honestly, you would be happy just being able to wake up and find him there. He doesn’t even need to wake up or do anything — he would simply be there. Then being able to come back home to him after a long day… It’s the kind of future that makes you ache with the desire for it.
But these things take time. You know that. And you’re already privileged enough that you live in the same building. It’s only a couple minutes from his place to yours. Things would be a whole lot tougher if he was in, you don’t know, Coventry.
(Of course, the proximity is the thing that trips you up, the fact that he is close and you can only dream of more.)
Anyway, like you were saying, the first part of your day is fine. The school day, that is. Ms. C just slaps on a G-rated movie for each of the periods. Half the other teachers do the same. You aren’t technically allowed to do this, since showing movies to the kids can be a finicky ordeal with parents and no one, certainly not the school board, wants to be held liable, but you don’t envision that it will come back to bite you in the ass. It’s the last day of school, after all.
And with that, it is a tiny bit emotional, at least for you. But the kids promise to visit. You don’t know if that’ll actually pan out but it’s a sweet thought that tides you over for the rest of the day.
Your date with Tim is set for six-thirty. Dinner first, then a trip to… somewhere. He hasn’t told you. It’s a surprise.
Before that, you need to hang around after school to help Ms. C pack up the classroom for the summer. After, you feel a little tired from the day’s event, so before you set off for Rose Oaks, you decide it won’t hurt to run over to the Sundollar a block over to grab a quick drink, something to tide you over until dinner.
Ms. C heads out first and you leave your things in the classroom, deciding just to make the walk. So, you step out with a couple dollars in the pocket of your jeans, as well, of course, with your pepper spray. Dearly beloved, you do not go anywhere without it. You’ve taken a few self-defense course (and Tim’s tested those skills with his own lessons he’s taken; that was fun, even if you did kind of get your ass kicked) and it’s not like you think you could stand a chance against, you don’t know, Darkseid but, like, you have a decent shot against your run-of-the-mill douchebag, right?
Wrong.
And you know that when you get hit on the back of the head, crumple miserably, and before you can gather your wits to even think of putting up a fight, you feel the sharp prick of a needle and you’re out.
(Of course you get kidnapped within one week of dating Tim Drake.
Of freakin’ course.)
Tumblr media
Waking up is a pain.
Your senses are muddled and everything feels like syrup. Floaty and weak, your lungs work too slowly for your liking. You’re on the ground, you think, because of how hard it is, as well as a vaguely unpleasant smell.
The back of your head aches fiercely, with a headache accompanying it. Your stomach lurches, nausea enveloping you. You just want to go back to sleep but for now, the tides of unconsciousness abandon you, leaving you to struggle with your too-slow lungs.
You’d panic if you had the sense to do it but all you can do is go along with it, listening to the sound of gruff voices, sharp and aggressive and too loud.
A strange sound reaches your ears. It takes you a second to realize it’s you, the sound of your teeth chattering.
Cold. Too cold for June in Gotham.
You can’t move. Your limbs are filled with lead, weighing you down. Something tight burns at your wrists.
The voices come in and out of your ears.
“— gave her too much, you stupid idiot. If she dies, you think we’re gonna get the money?”
“I don’t know… Wouldn’t, uh, wouldn’t they want her body at least?”
You flinch at the sound of skin hitting skin. Or something inside you does, at least. You don’t — can’t — move an inch.
“She’s more valuable alive! Goddamnit, you had one job —”
“It was freakin’ daylight, man, I don’t work good in the daylight! I don’t know why we couldn’t have waited until —”
“Wait. Did you hear that?”
“You think making shit up is gonna get you three idiots out of this?”
“No, no, no, I heard somethin’, too.”
“Well, did you stooges make sure you weren’t followed?”
“Of course we did! But, man, the sun is still out! It’s risky!”
“It’s Gotham. You think this shit stops just ‘cause the sun is out? What are we, freakin’ vampires? It’s better if anything. The only one they got hanging around in the daylight is that damn glowstick.”
“Signal.”
“Whatever.”
That’s kind of mean, you think distantly. Signal is cool. He’s saved a couple of your kids on their walks home. They were entirely unbothered about the whole thing and you could only ever listen in mild horror as they recounted the stories to you. But at least they were unscathed. No thanks to Signal.
“But the sun’s gonna be setting soon. We still haven’t gotten anything and if Batman and the others come out then…”
“The Bats got bigger things to deal with than some rich boy’s girlfriend.”
“I don’t know…”
“What? Are you backing out? ‘Cause if you’re backing out —”
“Hey, hey, hey, chill! I’m just — I’m just thinking out loud, okay!”
“Well, don’t. We got the girl and I don’t know if you realize what we’re gonna have to do if we don’t get that money —”
Your kidnappers are kind of idiots.
It’s a stray thought amidst a dizzying field of them. Too much all at once. But that rings true in your head.
Along with the cold petrifying thought that if they don’t get their money, they’re going to kill you.
But it’s gotten very quiet. Too quiet. What —?
The first gunshot makes you flinch. Your limbs finally listen. You can’t stop yourself from curling in. Or as best as you can with your wrists bound to… something. More gunshots ring out, voices yelling now.
If you could just open your eyes, if your lids, which feel so impossibly heavy, could cooperate. But a familiar darkness tugs at you, chest stuttering with each slow breath you take. Too slow, you think, and your heart should be pounding but it’s not, it’s like molasses in your chest. Your chest, that suddenly feels heavy, like something is sitting on you.
The gunshots cut out abruptly, as do the voices. At least, the yelling, you mean.
Now it’s just… pain. Strangled cries that cut out abruptly, the audible snap of bones breaking, someone… someone sobbing…
Then it’s quiet.
Something wet traces over the bridge over your nose. You’re crying, you realize.
It’s too much, too difficult to keep awake. You just want to go back to sleep and wake up somewhere else, in your apartment, in Tim’s arms…
But then —
— someone says your name.
Breathes it, syllables wrapped in equal amounts of warmth and pain, underlaid by a sense of panic.
And you — you know this voice.
A soft tenor that haunts your dreams, that whispers cheesy jokes in your ear sometimes, that teases you when he feels particularly cheeky, that calls you sweet things with so much love, sometimes, you think you might burst from it.
It’s the stunning, horrifying, kind of realization that makes your voice work and your lips move.
“Tim?”
What is he… He shouldn’t be here… He’s in danger…
Quiet for a second, a slight tugging at your wrists that burns before the pressure is released, then a hand — a gloved hand, what? — on your cheek.
“It’s me, honey, I’m right here.”
Your voice fails you this time around and you can only whimper in response, more tears falling. But the air you need does not come. Everything is still like molasses and you’re still frightfully cold.
Arms slide under you, something warm wrapping around you. It helps fight off the chill but your breath gets shorter and shorter with each rise and fall of your chest.
Tim keeps talking, to you, to someone else, someone called… Oracle… and he sounds so panicked, so scared, you want to comfort him, tell him you just need to catch your breath and you’ll be okay. Well, if he could get you home, too, that would be great.
You barely manage it. Somehow, someway, just the discomforting thought of Tim scared lets your eyes crack open.
But it’s not Tim holding you in his lap.
It’s… Red Robin.
Oh.
Oh.
Maybe it’s the realization, maybe it’s the drug still in your system, but in the next moment, darkness falls over you like a blanket and you’re gone.
Tumblr media
Your sleep is restless. Filled with sharp jostling movement and murmuring voices.
You surface in and out of consciousness.
Once, laying on something not like the ground, cushioned, but not entirely comfortable, either. Low voices converse near you.
“— can’t do anything but let it run its course. There is no overdose treatment for GHB. She just needs fluids and rest, as well as constant supervision. I trust you, Tim, will be able to do that.”
“Done.”
“She can stay at the manor —”
“No. She won’t like waking up somewhere she doesn’t know. I’ll take her back to her place.”
“Fine. Spoiler says she’ll watch —”
And then nothing else.
Tumblr media
Again, some indeterminate amount of time later, accompanied with a swaying kind of motion, arms wrapped around you.
A sound, like a window sliding open, just as your body meets a much softer surface. A bed.
“Boots off, Spoiler.”
“You’re joking, right — okay, not joking, got it, I’ll just stay here. Unless you want any help with her?”
“I got it.”
“She’s gonna be fine, Tim.”
“I know.”
A sigh. “Alright. Then I’ll be up on the roof.”
Another sound, the window closing, and you’re out.
Tumblr media
The next time you surface, you do so for good.
Your body aches, as does your head. Your hand feels oddly cold but the rest of you is warm, tucked beneath blankets with a space heater somewhere —
No, not a space heater.
Another body, not pressed against you, not touching you at all, actually, just beneath the blankets, too. The comforting scent of eucalyptus reaches you.
You open your eyes, vision blurry. The room is dark, except for the glow of something near you. A sound, the… the click of keys?
You groan as you move, body still weak, with a vague feeling of unwell that you hate.
The clicking stops.
Your name, hushed.
You shift, squirming a little. Something tugs at your hand and you reach for it instinctively.
“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay, it’s okay, it’s just an IV drip to help flush the drug out. You’re okay. You’re okay.”
An arm slides around your back as you struggle to sit up. Tim helps, the laptop previously in his lap now sitting on the nightstand. Keeping an arm around you, he turns around again and turns something on.
Warm yellow from the lamp there illuminates your bedroom.
Your eyes flicker to your window, a fuzzy memory of Tim and someone else, but there is nothing and nobody there. Darkness from outside greets you instead.
“Time is it?” you mumble, reaching up to rub the sleep out of your eyes. “What day it is? Saturday?”
You really don’t feel good.
Not a nauseous kind of feeling, but one close to it, like if you thought of the wrong thing, you’d be hunched over the toilet instantly.
If you could even get to the toilet in time.
But as your vision clears, you glimpse a bedpan on the nightstand nearest to you, along with some other medical supplies, and then the IV line, hooked onto a pole you definitely never owned, and feeding liquid into the IV in your hand.
You don’t like it.
Tim brushes some of your hair out of your face, touch frighteningly gentle, as well as the look on his face. There is something else there, though, a kind of hesitance that he never had before. Almost as if he’s afraid to touch you, afraid to do this for you.
You don’t understand why, your brain still struggling to boot up.
“Three. And yes, it’s Saturday.”
“AM?”
He hums. “Want to take off the drip?”
You nod, feeling a bit childish for it, but there is no judgment or annoyance in his face. His face that you continue to study if only because something is niggling at you and because you don’t want to watch him pull out the needle from your skin.
The pricking sensation makes you wince. He murmurs an apology, leaning around you to set it aside and grab a band-aid. Spongebob themed.
He looks tired. Exhausted, actually, and it doesn’t take a genius to conclude that he was awake previously, maybe this entire time and since it’s early in the morning (or late in the night, depending how you see it) he’s been awake this entire time. Probably the whole night if you hadn’t woken up now.
More than that… A butterfly bandage closes a cut on his forehead, the shadow of a bruise on his cheek. As he covers the prick from the needle with the band-aid, you glimpse his knuckles, red, swollen.
Red.
Right.
Things come back to you in pieces. Walking to Sundollar. Then nothing. Waking up… wherever you were. The idiots you had for kidnappers. The idiots who were still prepared to kill you if they didn’t get the money — ransom — then something, someone going in there and… kicking ass, to be sure.
And Tim…
“So, I didn’t hallucinate you as Red Robin.”
He lifts a hand to your face, then pauses suddenly, tired blue eyes flickering elsewhere as he mumbles, “May I? Just need to check your pulse.”
“You don’t need to ask.”
He lets out a deep breath and nods, cold fingers brushing your pulse. You wait, letting him do his thing.
You barely realize you are out of your other clothes, the restricting material of your blouse and jeans, now dressed in a t-shirt and shorts. The kind you regularly wear. The thought of him doing it isn’t unsettling. Maybe it should be. Maybe it shouldn’t. All you know is, above anything else, you are glad it was him.
Instead of answering your unspoken question, he asks a few of his own. Your name, where you are, your birthday, that sort of thing. Presumably for the large knot you can feel at the back of your head.
You’re still tired. Exhausted, actually, and you want nothing more than for him to hold you to sleep, but you need answers first.
He rubs his eyes as he sits back and he finally says, “Yes. That… that was me. I didn’t expect…”
You’d sort of put it together. Well, put it together makes it sound like you gave it a lengthy amount of thought. It’s more like your brain heard his voice and assumed. The assumption happened to be entirely correct.
“Sorry.”
He blanches. “What? Why — why are you apologizing?”
“I… don’t know.” You really don’t. Sorry you found him out? Sorry this happened? No matter the reason, it just feels like the right thing to say.
But the way Tim’s face crumples, pained, makes you think it very much wasn’t.
His hands reach for your face. They’re cold. Too cold. You want to take them in your own and warm them up.
“I’m sorry. I’m the one who needs to apologize. The guys were idiots and that’s a good thing but because it was so last-minute, we had no idea, it wasn’t on our radar — my radar. I should’ve known better.”
“It’s not your fault,” you say, frowning. “I don’t blame you for any of this, Tim.”
“You know what I do now,” he says quietly. “If only because of that, it is my fault.”
“You didn’t know. And I don’t blame you for that, for being human. Is anyone else blaming you?”
Anyone else being… Batman. The others.
“No,” he sighs.
You nod. “Exactly. No one could’ve known. If anything, I should be thanking you.”
He inhales sharply to protest but your eyes sting suddenly, breath stuttering.
“Stop it,” you say. “I… they were going to… if they didn’t…” You stop, vision blurring with tears and he shakes his head.
“It wouldn’t have happened, I wouldn’t have let it happen.”
But it hits you too hard, too fast, how close you were to death. Truly, this time.
But one thing remains true.
He saved you.
And you think, as he whispers soft assurances and collects you into his arms, he is doing once again. Holding you together since you can’t do it yourself, patiently picking up the pieces as they fall.
The topic is dropped for that and he pulls away briefly to shut out the light, then tugs you back into his arms as you two lay down together.
You’re exhausted by the time your tears stop but you don’t want to give in quite yet. Mostly because the thought of Tim blaming himself bothers you a lot.
“I don’t blame you,” you whisper, sniffling. “Don’t you believe me?”
“I do,” he whispers back after a moment. “I just… I have to do better. I can’t —” his voice catches and he curls himself tighter around you, lips brushing the crown of your head. “I can’t lose you.”
You wonder if it’s your imagination, if it’s the exhaustion, that has you hearing an unspoken I can’t lose anyone else.
His parents, you know of. But surely he has lost others. If not strangers, the ones he couldn’t save, ones closer to him.
You hope you’re wrong. You hope he’s never gone through it. But with how tightly he holds you, the pain in his voice, the fear… you know he has.
Once again, you are hit with the monumental urge to protect him, to shield him from the pains and loss of life. You want it too much for him.
“You saved me,” you say quietly in the next moment. “I’m right here. I don’t blame you for anything. I’m not mad about anything, either. Not that it happened and not the… the Red Robin thing, either.”
Tim is quiet for a long moment. Almost long enough for you to think he’s gone to sleep, but the hand at your back, fingers grasping the material of your shirt, tightens slightly.
“I was going to tell you,” he says at last. Hesitant. But urging, like he needs you to believe him, like he thinks you won’t.
Even after saying you aren’t mad, he still fears it.
Your heart aches for him in that moment.
“It’s okay,” you murmur. “I understand. It’s… it’s a big secret that you can’t just give out easily. I know that. And I’m not mad. I believe you when you say you would’ve told me eventually. I guess… I guess my earlier apology was about that. That I ended up forcing your hand and I don’t want you to… feel obligated.”
The last part comes out unbidden. You tense.
Tim takes a slow, measured breath. “Obligated how?”
You almost don’t want to answer.
But he doesn’t deserve that.
“To stick around. I’ll keep your secret. I swear. No matter what happens.”
Quiet again. You don’t know how to take it.
But finally, he shifts back. “Do you not want to —”
“No! I do, I mean, I want to be with you, it’s just, down the line, I don’t know, or if you think it’s too much work since I’m not like you —”
“It’s because of that that I want you,” he breathes, pulling back to press his forehead to yours. “Exactly that.”
You let out a shuddery breath. “I want you, too. All of you, if I can have that. For as long as you’ll have me.”
One of his hands comes to your cheek, thumb stroking gently there. “Okay. Okay. We don’t have to stop this. I don’t want to. You’ll be in danger because of it, not just because of Tim Drake but Red Robin, too. If I was less selfish…”
The thought aches.
“Be selfish,” you whisper. “Because I don’t care.”
You know it’s true. Reckless, probably, but like you just said — you don’t care. How you feel, what you want… it outweighs everything else. Nothing is going to stop you because of it.
His breath catches and he pulls back, pressing his lips to your cheek. You grasp his wrist, holding on tightly.
Pulling away after a minute, he hugs you closer. You tuck your face into his neck, legs tangling beneath the blanket.
Tim lets out a slow breath. “I love you.”
Your eyes sting. Your throat tightens painfully. “I love you.”
He shudders, lips pressing to your forehead.
That’s why.
That’s why you don’t care about the danger. About the possibility of this happening again. You would rather have this than let it go. Anything else that happens because of it… it’s worth it.
It’s worth it.
Maybe one day, he’ll believe it.
But for now, this is enough.
