You tried your best to cut the onions for you and Leon's dinner but you just couldn't, you had to look away almost every five minutes because your eyes kept stinging and at this rate it would never get done.

Leon was sweet like that. He had remembered you physically couldn't cut onions, even though you'd never said anything to him it was almost like he could sense it, and he got the food done in what felt like minutes while you sat on the counter picking songs.

Leon would occasionally stop to place either hand on the counter, trapping you beneath him and giving you sweet kisses.

"you taste like vanilla icing" Leon said into the kiss

"really?- I haven't had any cake today" you giggled back and pulled away for air. You never initiated kisses or hugs or anything in fear you would do it wrong

Since I'm far more comfortable being weird on 40k tumblr than I used to be, I'm gonna say some unhinged things.

Now that you've all been thoroughly warned, I'm thinking about which Primarchs would be the best or worst to deal with if they got pregnant:

Lion-You do not know he is pregnant. He would preffer it that way. He seems crankier, meaner, more reclusive, amd just a bit rounder, but you don't know about it until he winces and slinks off during a meeting, then returns a few hours later with babby in tow. No one is allowed to touch or even look at babby for at least a week.

Guilliman-He's doing pretty ok, but very anxious. Lots of body aches, but you have a hell of a time trying to convince him to ease off the work and rest. You often find him fast asleep on top of his desk. Constantly craving olives. Overall not too bad.

Horus-VERY proud papa-to-be. Constantly showing off his big ol belly and bragging about how knocked up he is. He has a canonical breeding kink, he's wearing every embarrassing maternity t-shirt he can find. Mortifying ordeal, but could be way worse.

Konrad-OH GOD, whoever impregnated this man, answer for your fucking crimes. Anyone who so much as breathes too loud in his vicinity is a skinless splatter on the pavement. Mercifully, he doesn't seem to want to leave his room. Just avoid him as much as possible and you might survive.

Sanguinius-Glowing, positively GLOWING! He's vibrant, elegant, happy, the type of thing people tell you being pregnant is like to try and convince you to have kids. Happy to let anyone rub his tummy. (Would he even give live birth or just lay an egg?) He's eepy, so very sleeby eepy. He just wants to nap. That just serves to make it cuter. The only issue is that in the later weeks he starts going broody. That will not be a fun time.

Fulgrim- Also an idealistic glowing beauty, but probably is a struggling a lot more than he lets on. You just know he's nauseous as hell and his feet hurt like a bitch. Give him a foot rub , he deserves it. Has a bunch of super long baby names picked out, Definitely rearranged the nursery seventeen times at least because it's "not good enough". And the second fact that thing comes out the womb it's dripped tf out. Little fuck is leaving the hospital in a Dior onesie. Fulgrim insists on doing his makeup before leaving the maternity ward, because he refuses to look as worn out as he is. Let this poor man REST.

Ferrus-Oof. I don't know much about him, but he strikes me as the type to have body image issues. Baby has a normal ass name like "John" or smth. When it's born he's scared to hold it with his metal hands, but bub doesn't care, falls right asleep in them.

Perturabo-ABORTION. He has no time for kids. But in the chance he does keep it, he's even more cranky and insufferable than ever. Yells at his own belly bc MiniPerty is kicking him while he's trying to work. Sending u prayers🙏

Dorn-Hmmm, idkkkk. I have not read enough about him. Dorn fans answer this one for me. But from what I do know he'd have a hard time describing as his complicated emotions about it. Would swaddle the Dornling in his grandpa's blanket.

Angron-OH FUCCKKKKKKK. You thought Konrad was bad!? The sad part is, all of the parts of him that want and love the baby are being punished for it by the nails. But can you fucking imagine a pregnant hormonal Angron!? The galaxy shakes in fear. The second sperm met egg, Khorne shifted uncomforably upon the Skull Throne.

Magnus-He's having a great time! Studying every parenting book he can find (TAKE NOTES EMPS!), getting cool belly tattoos, doing mysterious pregnancy rituals, psychically communicating with MiniMagnus once they're developed enough. Has a BIG belly, sometimes hard to maneuver. Probably twins. Sons always happy to give it a lil rub when he walks last. Often found lounging in his tower, lazily talking to bubby while reading, go ahead and give him a back massage.

Mortarion- As much as I think he'd look cute with a baby, I don't think he was ever at any point in his life healthy enough to carry one to term. Isha, fix his uterus, he needs to be a daddy immediately. If he was miraculously to get preggers, he'd definitely be cranky, but not overwhelmingly so. He'd love the kid, but occasionally pat his tummy and gently admonish it for being such a little nuisance.

Corax- Drawing a total blank here. Raven guardies tell me plz. But he might go broody too, goes with the bird theming.

The Khan- Continues riding his bike until he's physically too big to do so. You can't even try to stop him. Little Jag is travelling at Mach Fuck You every day. Labor is 5 seconds long, and as soon as the kid's delivered he's strapping it to his chest and getting right back in the saddle.

Vulkan-Biggest cuddlebug EVER!!! Joyous and glowing, always up for a belly rub. You just know his ass is 8 months pregnant and still in the forge, working on little practice weapons for his lil Salamander. His water will probaby break and he'll beg you to let him quench a sword in his own amniotic fluid (don't, that's gross) Prone to hot flashes, get him a nice cold drink plz.

Lorgar-A baby is joyous blessing! He's insanely happy about it, going on about how his body was "chosen to bring forth a wondrous being". Touching the tum is a religious experience. Gets a new tattoo to celebrate, if he can find the room.

Frankie was your best friend. You were there for him when he was having a hard time readjusting to normal civilian life, driving him around before he was able to get his own car, hell he even stayed with you for a few weeks when he first got back.

Frankie was also there for you, like that time you didn’t want to go to the dentist alone. He didn’t make you feel like you needed him to, claiming you might need a ride back in case they gave you too much freezing. But he knew. He knew you were anxious by the way you couldn’t stop biting your lip, the way you were wringing your hands. He didn’t say anything about it on the drive over but instead played your favourite songs to try and get you to sing along.

More recently, Frankie had been there for you after a particularly bad date. You’d been mopey since your last breakup, friends pushing you to go out with a guy, any guy they’d said, just to get yourself back out there. So you did.

“Oh," he had said, with clear disdain. "You have cats?"

“You’re not predictable, I just know what you like,” his eyes softened at the end of his sentence. There’s a look in his eyes you can’t quite place and a tightness in your chest at his comment.

Well, he should know what you liked, you’ve spent more than enough time together for him to have figured it out by now. And to be fair, you knew his usual order, too, and have picked up his favourite takeout on your surprise drop ins.

“So, tell me what this guy did that pissed you off so much you couldn’t even make it through dessert.”

So you did, much to his amusement.

“It’s funnier now but I’m telling you, it was so awkward!”

You were glad that you could laugh about it with him, the mirth in his eyes contagious as the two of you get lost in a fit of giggles again. Humming as you munched on a fry, you look back up to see Frankie just watching you with an unreadable gaze.

So how is Sabrinas relationship with Dalias family? Has she met them? What do they think of her? Do they even know Dalia is dating her?

And, I kinda want to make a future AU where everyone is like 10 years older. So can you go into depth about Dalias future? Like, does her relationship w her mom improve? Is she still with Sabrina? Are they married? Children? Job?

And lastly, how would Dalia manage Sabrinas OCD (because that's canon now) and how would Sabrina help with Dalias anxiety?

Ok, so Dalia's family knows that Sabrina's dating Dalia, but their opinions on her vary. Starting with Avery, she doesn't care that they're dating, but doesn't particularly care for anyone in fruitbasket in general (she thinks they're a bad influence because Dalia's started standing up for herself more since meeting them and Avery views that as defiance and nothing more) Carter on the other hand thinks Sabrina's good for Dalia, he hears the way she talks about her, and how much more confident she is around her. Esme likes Sabrina but likes getting on Dalia's nerves more, so she usually ends up trying to embarrass Dalia whenever Sabrina's around(like why whole shouting the word girlfriend thing). Esme and Jasper were both actively betting on whether or not they'd get together. Esme won. Jasper bet against it bc he assumed Dalia would be too nervous to ever confess,but what he didn't plan for was for Sabrina to be the one to confess, so Esme won 10 dollars.

Dalia ends up putting herself through nursing school. She has an instinctual need to help others, and this helps fill that. She ends up working at an urgent care, and her epithet helps a lot there. Speaking of her epithet, she's trained enough with it now to gain epithet markings(like Zora's triangle tattoos or Mera's eyes) hers are tattoo like moth wing pattern on her back. It glows in a faint lavender color when she uses her epithet.

I also feel like she'd go no contact with her mom. She's learned to stand up for herself(well a little) and has decided it's better for her if she cuts contact. Avery still refuses to admit to anything she put Dalia through (BECAUSE SHE'S A BITCH! Who said that? Not me)

(Oof this it late so we already know her and Sabrina are married with 2 kids) As a mom, she's still definitely a worrier. If her kids are out late, she's up pacing around the living room. She's super supportive though, she makes a huge point of being there for Vee and Jasper. Overall, she's trying to be the exact opposite of her mother. When they were little, she told them the same myths and legends she told her little siblings. Worrys that she's a bad parent and that she's gonna end up like her mom. Would do anything for them, loves them to death.

Alright, Dalia, as said before is there through the bouts of depression, she's not good with words of comfort on the spot, so she tends to really on her epithet to comfort her. Feels bad about it, but her epithet can take the edge off of just about anything. Wants to help in any way she can, if Sabrina says the word, she's there, doesn't matter what it is, she's there. Also Sabrina not leaving when Dalia's anxiety flairs up means the world to her. She's got some issues with thinking people are gonna leave her bc she's a burden(Dalia go to therapy,I'm begging you) and even the simplest reassurance means so much (and it helps more than she's willing to admit). Girlfriends with issues that support each other for the win.

unless an injury is dire and needs legend's healing magic, fig is usually the one to dress everybody's wounds. he doesn't have any extra medical knowledge—it's just its way of showing love and telling them it'll be ok

lumen sometimes still worries if he is Enough—remnants of ghirahim's taunting and impa's scoldings

sometimes when they're all trekking along the road in silence, somebody will start humming a tune they all know and everybody will join in

wars is scared of spiders, and any fire that cannot be directly controlled by him

lumen is very fidgety and loves hands-on type hobbies, like whittling and pottery. legend enjoys these too, but can only do them w her in short bursts bc of his arthritis. lumen is patient and waits for him, tho

since briar and wars are the only extroverts in the group, they are often the unofficial intel-gatherers when they visit towns

briar is a leatherworker, and made most of his leather clothing himself

because of how wars' era treats him before he's banished, the others are fiercely protective of him when they visit his world (they r all LIVID that wars has been treated like shit almost his entire life)

when they have to split up, more often than not wars is paired w legend; fig knows wars and ledge work extremely well together, and they cover each other's weaknesses, but it's also just bc they like hanging out and are comforted by each other's presence and fig knows that <3

sometimes fig has these Moments while he's watching the others laugh and lean on each other around the fire where it is simply so overwhelmed w love for his kids . so much love it does not know where to place it all so he just sits there and tries not to implode

when the crew gets to rest at fig and malon's ranch and all the others are in bed and asleep, fig secretly gushes to malon abt them all . he loves themso much and it wants to holdthem all so close

3. How do each of you express affection? 

Wrathion does grandiose gestures like gifting high quality things such as rare and beautiful crystals, the fancy expensive wine that comes in bottles not shaped like bottles, fresh crab (I go absolutely nuts for crab IRL that stuff is so delicious but expensive), and does love hugs, we always give him hugs when we leave somewhere, . Kalec likes saying compliments or simply stating observations he makes about us, He also sends mirror images when he's busy for surprise "I love you"s and smooches when we least expect it. I do random combos of words, things i make, things i find, and sooooo many cuddles. So many, cuddles and hugs and smooches.

4. Are there different dynamics in your ship? If so, what are they?

Ok so me and Kalec are an autism to autism romance like. WALL-E and EVA during that scene where EVA scans for a plant and WALL-E just shyly scuttles around following them and gets buried in shopping carts and then WALL-E shows them their human stuff. When they give EVA the rubix-cube and turn around to grab the lightbulb and return to it solved and go "Woah!" and hand them the bulb to look at it and the bulb glows in EVA'S hand and then they both go "woah" and mess with it? That exact scene is so us. So many cool and beautiful things in the world to understand.. I can't use magic very well if at all and am at a lot of disadvantages with arcane stuff and Kalec will cast a spell for me so I can see what it's supposed to look like and I can try to copy it. I sometimes go extra slow to see him do it again just to see him in the light of his spells..

Kalec and Wrathy are opposites but also the same in a way..? They both deeply care about keeping the world safe and rising above their predecessors shadows to pave a better path for their kind, they both see mortals as equals unlike most dragons and enjoy living among them. They are so balanced together it's amazing, they bring out the best in each other and have such a deep understanding of what the other has been though and what they want and their fears and to try and put it into a sentence: They're like 2 sides of the same coin.

Me and Wrathy are more of a fiery/ sassy but also sad duo and both tend to dig our claws into the other 2 sometimes because we're so afraid to lose them so we are very clingy and easily stressed. We understand what it's like to be considered an abomination of nature to the world and "lesser" than others, so we make sure to show the other we love them constantly which does sometimes turn into annoying PDA that Wrathion does love because he likes showing me off like “Look at how sweet and pretty my girlfriend is, this is mine and our boyfriend’s and you can’t have any! You missed out!” And I’m just thinking “OUGHHHHOHOHO WHEEEE I PULLED HIM!! wait we’re in the middle of the market”

8. Is there any clothing sharing? Does one partner “steal” clothes from the others?

OK so firstly I think visage clothes are like. magic so you can take them off and away from the dragon and they can just magic it back if they lost it or just make a new one like *poof* and its the exact same. BUT to answer the question that would be me 90% of the time ｀(^ᴗ^)´. I'll steal their overcoats and wear them on me as robes with the sleeves rolled up or like cloaks around my neck or waist since they're both bigger than me tho Kalec is quite a bit bigger. I'll steal Wrathion's earrings, gloves, his necklace on a few occasions, and I'll steal Kalecs belt bc that thing looks like a giant marble and i just know it's got some great stimmy texture and sounds. They usually only steal my scrunchies and wear them as bracelets or use them to tie their hair up and it makes me go (｡♡ʊ♡｡)

i'll never shut up about the fact that these barely-20-somethings have what feels like the weight of the world on their shoulders-- or, in the case of clock-la, they might have genuinely had the weight of the world on their shoulders.

i will also never shut up about the cooper legacy and how much weight it puts on their shoulders independent of the whole fighting for their lives thing.

again, in-depth analysis/breakdown under the cut <3 this one's a little on the longer side, i think. and the choruses get typed out every time bc i didn't want to cut around them bc of the "give it to your sister" segments. so yeah.

this is also mostly murray & sly, but theres a fair amount of bentley in there too :3

okay now we fall out of the surface level "yeah that makes sense". i gotta say using the word Berserk there ... has me thinking of the Murray Tries To Kill You section w/ the agitators. to be FAIR i'm pretty sure tightrope walkers Don't Do That. but i've also never been to the circus, so.

anyway ! i feel like he's also the like. the Silliest, y'know? the naive one that's usually getting made fun of, i think. and he presents the most, he's not built for subtlety; he's very visible. which is also part of why this line is He. he probably feels like he's a circus act to be watched and laughed at, y'know?

and then there's sly, who loves the whole thief thing and loves his role and wouldn't trade it for the world, but... he got shoved into this whole thing too, y'know? he loves being a thief, but i'm sure he would love it more if it had been his choice, if anybody had asked him before it was suddenly his everything.

yet another cotton candy line. look i can go SO in-depth about sly and his self-esteem issues esp. during sly 3. there's an interaction during a cold alliance that is pretty much the entire formation for this head of canon ("Sure you won't need my help on the inside?" "I'm afraid this is a problem only technology can solve." "...Right. Well, have fun with your, uh, technology." "Don't wait up- this could go all night!")

and then there's murray, who thinks he's not "of service" and leaves because he doesn't want to hinder the team any more than he thinks he already does (see the sly 2.5 comic.) he doesn't just think he's worthless if he's not doing something, he thinks he's worse than that; if he's not helping, he's a hinderance. hell i'm pretty sure he thinks he's a hinderance even when he IS helping sometimes. (see: him blaming himself for the clock-la incident.)

yet another gender swap but again for the sake of lyrical clarity i'm not changing the pronouns. just Know that pretty much every she is actually a he. that's a good life motto in general actually /j

this is mostly just bc i am an oldest bentley truther lol. but also i think he does wind up with a lot of "heavy things [they] can't shoulder" because as the planner i think that's just how that goes. he knows his brothers' skillsets! if something needs done that the two of them can't do, it's bentley's job. (see: demolitions, rc, etc.)

okay this was originally combined with the next one but i needed a place to talk about sly and the generational trauma. like sly's entire LIFE is built around being a thief (hence the "who am i if i can't run with the ball"- if sly cooper isn't a master thief, who even is he?) and living up to his family's legacy, hence the pressure. and no matter what he does, he can't escape it (it won't let go, wink wink.)

now because sly 4 simply isn't real this'll probably be the only time i mention it in this breakdown but even when he isn't a thief he still can't escape the Cooper burden, and his whole bloodline is once more put into peril because of something he had nothing to do with.

...i think. i'm only like 1/4 of the way into sly 4 but i'm pretty sure it's the classic steven universe style my parent(s) did something to you but now they're dead so you're determined to take it out on me bc i'm their kid thing.

i'm realizing the way him and sly view themselves are very similar lol. however i think murray finds some peace in training with the guru and is able to fall back from this mindset a bit. but that's not related.

again, more Strong One. he's big and tough and therefore he should be the one handling these things. he's the Strong One and therefore he is handling these things and he is handling them fine, he says, like a liar. he is Not Fine.

bentley is very Worried in General, as we know. "hide [his] nerves" probably comes into play bc he's their voice of reason, and if the voice of reason is panicking then everything is terrible and they're all gonna die. HOWEVER if he's not panicking then he might accidentally make sly and murray think they're in less danger than they are (leading to them being a little more careless and only worsening his nerves.)

OKAYOKAYOKAY "the ship doesn't swerve as it heard how big the iceberg is" gives me very much so vibes of the one Ro.tTM.NT episode with the poison pizza puffs and the younger three are constantly like "rap.h'll bail us out :]" and rap.h is like "NO."

i think sly and murray do that to bentley a lot, esp. post jailbreak. it doesn't matter what kind of trouble they get into because bentley can bust them out ! which is why the metaphorical ship isn't swerving. it's kind of sweet the amount of trust they have for bentley however bentley would like to humbly request they stop showing him they trust him by throwing themselves into danger!

murray's 'purpose' is to be the strong one, sly's is to be a thief. again they both think that they're "worthless if [they] can't be of service" but sly is a little different in the fact that his purpose rlly isn't going anywhere.

meanwhile murray after the clock-la incident is pretty sure he has lost his purpose! he thinks he failed at being the Strong One ("can i somehow preserve this?") and that dominoes (wink) into him spiraling over every tiny mistake he makes (as we see during the aforementioned sly 2.5 comic where he blames himself for every little thing) but all that really does is make him clam up and mess up more which. "you try to stop it toppling but on and on it goes," y'know?

sly is atlas and the cooper name is his globe, y'know?

these colors are out of order (usually it would be green -> pink -> blue) because i wanted sly to have the "all we know is" ... despite the fact that it really matches all of them. they've never lived any other way, sly especially.

again w the family thing like i said i will never shut up about it. even when he's Literally About to Die bc his dad didn't believe in minimum wage he's worried about how he compares to the Coopers before him ("Would he be proud? Or ashamed?") like bb harbor some resentment in there for the hell you've been put through.

debated switching sly and murray's lines for this ending segment but i think this works the best. again with the Rage That Will Explode and also his inescapable hell of being The Strong One.

this is both about bentley being the jack of all trades when he needs to be and about him keeping the other two out of trouble. he's certain the other two would be 'pulled under' by the stress of more things to do, and he's certain they would be 'pulled under' and kept under if he wasn't there to bail them out.

guess what .. it's the generational trauma again <3 more about sly and his need to live up to his family line because as the line says who is he if he doesn't have what it takes!

bentley's determined to not crack under the pressure because of his brothers, both to keep them out of trouble and to bail them out of the troubles they get into anyway. murray's determined to not break because he's The Strong One, and if he's not, then he's certain he'll be some kind of hinderance. and sly's determined to not make any mistakes so he can earn his cooper name and make his father proud.

this song to me is about reflecting on your life and how you never really """made something of yourself""" and mostly screwed around on a boat and drank too much and now you're having a midlife crisis. and jimmy uses "pirate" as a metaphor here and that's real life for the jolly roger but i really think it works for like the two of them reflecting on their lives and what they've accomplished, even if it's very different from what people expected of them when they were in school. and ultimately it's about the ~~call of the sea

not enough songs about brothers out there fr. the actual lyrics are not super applicable tbh but to me this song is all about like asking another person to be your legacy and to carry on what you started. and who better to do it than your brother, the person who knows you better than anyone else, the person who's sort of an extension of you in a way? and none of those old petty disagreements even matter anymore, what matters is the love. blood doesn't matter to these two, they will always be family <3

the iron wolf bond again bc miranda isn't an iron lord but her sister is and she wants to keep part of kit with her when they're apart on missions

the lightning!!!!! the way it swirls and builds!!!! this is The Moment she finally figures out how to cast Chaos Reach and truly masters her subclass!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA
