Had a most fantastic day at #TheHandmadeFair in #HamptonCourt today! Thanks to the lovely Hannah from @bobostitchkits for the tickets! If there ever was an IG giveaway I wanted to win, this was it! I've admired your work for years, both on Pinterest and Etsy and loved the opportunity to see it first hand! The beautiful glass baubles are from @artifactaullyglass and the cushion covers from Emerald Dove in London. So many gorgeous things to look at and to spend way more than I could actually afford to! Thanks again, Hannah!

The Handmade Fair - for visitors

With hundreds of stands, activities and food, there’s a lot to cover, so people arrive early. I managed to join the early birds to a front seat of the opening of the fair on the last day. Each morning Kirstie comes flying along in a golf buggy ready to greet the first visitors and open the fair by cutting the ribbon, it’s really quite a nice thing.

The Fair is sort of like a craft festival, there’s so much happening from demo’s to workshops and course the shopping. The workshops are definitely a key selling point however  a common feeling was that just there just isn’t enough time to do everything. Who knows maybe they’ll add another day or extend the days, but for now it seems you’ll need to plan your day wisely if you’re to see and do everything you’ve planned.

We had an unforgettable time at Kirstie Allsopp’s The Handmade Fair from 16-18 September 2016!  I was really impressed by the creativity of all the exhibitors and the diversity of homemade items.  A truly unique event.
