Somehow it isn't. It's worth following the bronze eel waymarks as they'll lead you past many places of historical interest including five pieces of public art depicting the local eel connections.⁣ ⁣ One of the most visited landmarks in Ely is the former house of the city's most famous resident Oliver Cromwell, the Lord Protector of England.⁣ ⁣ Another is Ely Cathedral, one of England's largest Cathedrals famous for its unique Octagon and Lantern Tower along with medieval carvings and monastic buildings.
