So many people who are pro-AI art pretend to be revolutionary in the stupidest way possible. Like this notion that I keep seeing about AI being a tool to empower average people against the artistic elite, even ignoring how tonedeaf it is, is so backwards and pointless.
All of the notions of AI being liberating only exists if you make art restrictive. If you think AI art lets you make something good in spite of your lack of technical skill, you are excluding yourself to let AI art save you, you are limiting quality by defining it only as what is technically skillfull.
The ai art revolution restricts, it establishes a theeshold for what is good based on what is standard, and then tells you not to worry, because technology owned by billionaire tech ceos like elon musk is gonna let you meet the narrowed definition of art.
I am by no means a visual artist, I have taken a single drawing class and haven’t done much else. Nothing I have made will ever end up in the louvre or an art textbook. It’s not gonna be revolutionary or make me famous. A lot of people are gonna think it isn’t good. But I did like making it. I enjoyed the process and it improved my drawing skills. Freedom from the societal standards for art did not come from being able to generate a product that looks like what they want. It came from creating something I wanted to create. Art is innate and it comes from making something, from each decision you make trying to do something, every line drawn and erased. A finished product is not the point, and you are not being subersive by using an algorithm to generate a finished product.

They have all the necessary components to be functional. Plus they’re cute. Whether or not they’re effective is entirely dependent on the caster and not the method.
A few notes, though
They are very likely cast when created by an OP.
They’ll work differently for every person who interacts with it afterwards and it’s means of manifestation for everyone will look different, regardless of sharing the same central media.
It is possible that the post itself becomes a very dense and complicated network of nodes (I.E a Theeshold: correspondences and such that are personal to each and every interaction) which may or may not affect how effective or accurate the spell is for later castings.
Just seeing who reblogged/shared it or who originally posted it could subconsciously make them the target of the spell or affect the network of nodes you construct.
How do y'all feel about emoji spells? I'm looking for genuine and respectful answers only. Do you believe in them? Why or why not?

The theeshold must have had some sort of sensor, as the room lit up when Rinzler crossed it. The lights were bright, a mockery of welcoming, drawing eyes to the centre of the room.
A Program stood there.
Though they were not a Program. Malware - perhaps once a Program, but certainly not any more.
"Awh, no hug, old man?" The figure laughed, far too many circuits to count rippling with mirth. "Come on, come on, show me your face! We're all friends here."
In one of the corners, partially hidden by shadows, a beta whimpered, and was fearfully shushed by at least three more.
From @evecolourshock
"Calm down, alright? I know you're hurting, and I know things are confusing, but getting angry with me is not the answer, okay?" Eve asked softly, crouching down and keeping her hands well away from her disc. "Those gashes look painful - rough run-in with those extremists, huh? I have a few patches with me, can I give them to you?" It hurt to see what was left of Tron like this, but... she wouldn't push Rinzler. "I can get you some energy too, if you like."
Rinzler’s body language radiates distrust and pain. Hunched over and head tilted. His face may be covered by a blank helmet but there’s no doubt he’s glaring daggers.
They don’t like accepting help, it shows weakness, imperfection. Especially accepting it from an unfamiliar program.
But… going back to Clu with visibly bad injuries after letting extremists get the jump on him is much worse than a hit to their pride.
“Just the patches…” Rinzler replies sharply.
