Read that post about Regis and blood being incorporated with food and makes me think about what would be traditional vampire foods? do they have their own version of chicken noodle soup? or something that is like The home meal that everyone loves? GAH! so many thoughts with how this could go!!!

Little vamps who feel under the weather getting fed bone-marrow soup as a comfort food, I need it in my life! I wonder if they had cookbooks that survived their conjunction or were written by them shortly after arriving, just to preserve their own unique food culture? I wonder what the prey and agriculture was like on their native planet?

12. Do they like art? what is their favorite type (paintings, songs, fashion, etc)?

Saska more so than Lora to be honest. Saska could go to a museum, or in her backstory during her time in the Temerian court would just roam the halls and focus on all the art pieces. Landscapes, portraits, whatever is hanging up or being put on display. Including Dandelion’s newest songs. Whenever he has a new song ready to be performed she is always ready to listen. Lora on the other hand appreciates art and culture like that, but is more to herself about it. She’ll look at a piece of art and judge it internally. Same with fashion and music. 

29. Is your oc detail oriented or do they focus more on the big picture?

Saska, I feel like depending on her mood is both. Sometimes she is and has to be detail oriented especially in the next, and possibly final part of her series as a whole. But definitely in the current part “Wildfire”, I can see her actively doing both. Lora is definitely more of a “big picture” type of lady. The most detail oriented she gets is probably when she is hunting an animal or some form of prey down to feed off of.

I like to write anywhere chill tbh! Bedroom, cafes, etc. as long as I’ve got my trusty headphones lol

I don’t really title my work much anymore because I don’t post it anywhere! The best I can do is explain the title for one of my OC canon universes;

It’s called Fourth One’s the Charm, like “third times the charm”. In the original story (now replotted and wildly different lmao) Kai was the secret 4th informant to a 3-person team! So he was kinda the fourth member that helped them on their mission. Now the plot goes that Claüde joins his team of 2 so the title doesn’t make thaaaaat much sense anymore but I still like it anyways hahaha

each Lord take a couple of minutes before the meeting to gloat about what kind of silly gifts or drawings the child as given them after each visit

so far? Moreau is winning with 28 drawings and over 40 small trinkets

your family is horrified when they hear gossip about you running off to go into the Castle or the Beneviento household, scolding you and almost forcing you to stay house for weeks, afraid you might have angered Mother Miranda and her Lords

during those weeks, the Lords all collectively begin to grow anxious, wondering what could have happened to you, if you got lost in the forest or if any of their creations attacked you

there's a collective sight of relief when Heisenberg comes to the church with you in his arms, loudly sobbing and apologizing for not visiting him for the last couple of days

the other Lords are on their feet and around you, smiling and at ease over seeing you alive and well, taking quick turns to hug you and pat your back, whispering how much they missed hearing you laugh

Mother Miranda, although she knew where you had been, feels a weight gets lifted off from her shoulders when she's allowed to have you in her arms, wiping tears away from your face and shushing your cries

that night Papa and Mama are blessed to see Mother Miranda in their home, carrying their child and giving a small message "This Child has been blessed by me and the Lords, we see potential in them and wish to nourish it"

you don't question it when your parents don't do anything to try and stop you from running off the next day, grimacing when you loudly declare "THE LADY SAID SHE'S TEACHING ME TO READ!"

each one of them begins to teach you something new and fascinating

Miranda remember easy to make science experiments, speaking softly and with easy words when helping you to cause a small and safe chemical reaction, earning soft "woahs" full of amazement

Moreau is the one who teaches you about medicine and the many herbs that grow around the reservoir, pointing to which ones are medicinal and which ones are poisonous

Angie and Donna take great pleasure in playing school with you, slowly teaching you how to write and read fluently, making a huge deal when you can read a whole page by yourself

the Dimitrescu family teach you about fine arts and music, even when all you do is stare and clap when the Lady sings with her daughters, they all encourage you to try and clapping with each small success

Karl is proud of himself when he takes on teaching you math and bits and pieces of science. Carrying you around as asking easy questions, passing you paper to write down simple equations and solve them with his help

even on those days, they get to hear you laugh and the sound of you running around, starstruck expression with whatever they teach you

during the next meeting, they discuss saving you from the purge and who will be your primary care giver

What can make your OC smile even when they’re feeling down? What cheers them up and makes everything feel better for them? 

Humbert’s chickens can always make him smile, especially because they keep him company. Being with friends also helps. Sometimes, when he’s having a bad day he’ll go into town or to a tavern and people watch, because humans are fascinating and their lives are so curious and intricate.

Is your OC generally a happy person and do they enjoy making others smile? 

Oh, absolutely! Humbert loves helping others, and that includes making them smile.

What about your OC makes others happy?

People like that he’s approachable. He exudes this calm, friendly energy that makes people feel at ease and like they can trust him. He’s also very patient and a good listener as well as giver of advice.

🎀 Do they wear a specific accessory with a special meaning behind it? What is their usual fashion sense like? What do they wear when they want to be comfortable and what do they wear when they’re going to a fancy party? Or do they just not care?

Humbert doesn’t actually mind dressing up, but like Geralt, he dislikes restrictive clothing. So as long as the garments are more flowy, he’ll be content wearing them, though he doesn’t really care for fashion that much. An accessory he used to wear is obviously the ring he passed on to Regis, but nowadays he goes without jewelry and accessories.

🍑 Where is your OC’s favourite place to relax or calm down? Recount a story of their time spent in this place! What makes it so special to them?

Even though Humbert does well in the company of others, he seeks solitude to relax and calm down. He’ll take long, meandering walks in the woods or mountains, and soak his feet in cold streams listening to the trickling water.

So I was reading your tags about Dettlaff having the same nervous stim like Regis but instead of a satchel strap, it's his wrists. I can totally see him always messing with his hands and wrists when he is nervous. Like we see in the Resonance flashback that when he gets pushed, his claws come out. Holding on to himself like wringing his own wrists or hands could be a way to kinda keep in check with not break from his human guise. Ask box only allows for so many words so i stop here.

Woah, I hadn’t really picked up on that somehow I am BLIND as the bats I love(They’re not but w/e this is not Respecting Proper Animal Biology Hours) :o I think this is brilliant! We know he’s struggling to fit into this hostile world and a part of those struggles could absolutely be holding onto a human form constantly or when he’s anxious/mad/upset. 

Regis said he prefers the company of lesser vampires and I could be hella wrong but I believe several cannot take on a human form. He’s probably spent the majority of his time in a more primal state while with them, at least that would make sense to me, he could completely be himself with them in a state that feels more natural to him. 

He probably has several self-soothing techniques he uses without realizing it to stay looking perfectly human and from what Regis said maybe Syanna was helping him with that before she pulled the 23 skidoo. Maybe beyond his love that was even a part of his anger towards her after the plot discovery at Dunn Tynne. She was his lover and his mate but also his bridge to humanity, the person that was helping him deal with his emotions and how he relates to the other denizens of the Continent.

8. Who would want to take cute pictures for Instagram? I already answered this one here but I’ll copy and paste the response for ya. :) <3 100% Saska. She would definitely be the one to be like, “Let’s take a picture!” And then probably remember that vampires don’t necessarily come up in photos. Lmao. But deep down Regis enjoys it. He would love how excited she would be to show him off.

14. What memories do they share together that will stay with them forever? Oh boy where do I even begin with this one...

The first one will most likely be fighting their way through Tir na Lia to find Avallac’h way back during the year 1,000. Especially when Regis saved her from getting assaulted by some Witch Hunters in an alleyway. Her being incredibly scared and frightened, but then here’s this vampire who she doesn’t necessarily trust now saving her from these people who jumped her.

The next memory would probably be the moment she was attacked by a Bruxa. That is something Regis will never forget, seeing her (and they weren’t even a couple at that point) that helpless will be something he does not enjoy. And for Saska, seeing him so upset and willing to do anything to help, even though it may hurt him in the end. 

After that, the moment Regis finally woke up after Dettlaff nursed him back to health. Both of them feeling the utter relief of Regis being conscious again is something they both will remember for the rest of time. Just Saska looking down at Regis will all the love in her eyes, and Regis looking up at her, absolutely blown away that she would stay and wait for him for all that time. 

For Regis specifically, the moment where he lost Saska’s scent as she was taken by Eredin in Forging Destiny. That one moment, including when he finally found on in chains on the Naglfar, that is something he won’t ever forget, even though sometimes he really wants to. And for Saska, the moment she opened her eyes and saw Regis instead of Eredin on the ship, that moment is permanently engraved into her mind. Just that relief in knowing she will be okay because Regis is there.

me being a lazy ass, I tend to fast travel a lot, but nothing beats Roach, honestly. she’s a chaotic mess of a horse and you never know what’s going to happen next with her, and I love her.

signs! blade oils do make a huge difference, but signs can make you feel like such a badass. thought you could beat me? well now you’re on fire, so joke’s on you, buddy.

Wow I’m surprised you haven’t gotten that ending once then! You get it when either Radovid or Dijkstra lead the North (so you either don’t do Reason of State/A Deadly Plot or side with Dijkstra against Roche)
