Still adjusting to the...disadvantages that came with her environment, Nemesis paused to pull her helmet off her head. Her brown locks were becoming matted and sticking to her skin in a sweaty mess. Ugh. She had been told the heat would be fierce, but...in the name of the Immortals, she was being cooked. Still, it was rather heartwarming seeing all the mortals carry on and persevere throughout. To be fair, however, she wasn’t here for the mortals; she was here for Khepri. Khepri was an anomaly, for lack of better terms. The first time she weighed his soul, the Scales of Fate tilted so far in the direction of Humility, she thought it had broken- the implications of which would be dire. Everyone had a little hubris within them; why in the world did the Scarab not apply? Eyeing the sights, sounds, and sands for the Guardian, she aimed to find out. @thedawnbringer

Poseidon:do you prefer the ocean or land?

Artemis:do you prefer night or day?

“Hah, there ain’t nothing like a nap during the day. And I can work better then.” she shifted from one foot to the other. “But..on the other hand, night is cooler and the sound of cicadas and crickets at night helps me sleep. It’s too quiet in winter.” Meredith stared up at the rolling clouds, smiling. “I think I like the twilight hours the most.”

     With a smirk that was indescribably malevolent, Thanatos flew, voice booming through the arena.

A decade of loneliness. A decade of suffering from the burdens and mistakes of those who fear what they have caused. A decade of protecting their pathetic little world. A decade of saving these false gods from a fate unavoidable.

But no more.

Meredith, no, The Voids Mawstood under the tear in reality, the Void gate silently. Stared down at Khepri with unfeeling eyes. The Void had not done this to her, only she knew what finally made her snap in to this state.

Skin flaked off, revealing the same, oozing puss that made up the terrible spawn she once stopped from escaping. There was no escape from this fate. You either die, or live long enough to become the monster you once fought against.

And so it was foretold, The Voids Maw would turn its fangs from its creator, and devour the world it once loved.

Getting pushed back in a lane was never pleasant, but getting to back out of a fight to recoup and turn the next encounter towards their favor was a bit of a thrill. Those words always pained her a bit to hear, because while he may be the guardian in their lane, she needed to be doing more damage than she was. He was less than fine, Neith knew that, the bigger question was if she had time to retreat for a moment to gather up gear improvements or should she stay behind with him.

                                                    “I will not leave you.”

It was clear to see he was less than fine, their opponents were dealing out a fair amount of damage out onto the Egyptians.
