“Mortals can do impressive feats, it’s surprising what they can over as time passes,” he pondered.

“Anyways, you should take the time to see the Parthenon, it’s rather grand. However, you say this Sobek has an entire city to himself? My, that is impressive. I would say I’m jealous but the idea of having an entire city for me but then again, I don’t want to compete for it like Poseidon and Athena with Athens.”

“I believe it is the simple fact that the time the pyramids were built nobody believes the humans could’ve built them. As for the Parthenon, I’ve heard of it but I do not think I have seen it. Some of the Egyptian gods don’t have temples but we do have statues and paintings. Sobek on the other hand has a city for him.”

It was a rare occasion for the being of time to come to another’s aid. Whenever he did, it would be with great reluctance and disgruntlement. Chronos never trusted anyone who required his assistance, especially when his power could bring chaos if misused.

This being, he was no exception. Chronos read him like a restricted book that should never be opened. The time god now had an idea what he wants from his power, Chronos did not like it one bit. But it would not be fair, so the time god listened to his offer with mild interest.

“Are you aware of the consequences your request bears? The changes and effects that will arise? Time is a fragile yet powerful force, a single adjustment could bring chaos to the present and the future,” he explained, lacing his poetic speech with massive hints of caution and warning.

“If you know about the thin line you are walking across...Then tell me, what do you seek of me and I will consider if it requires a price.”

Noticing that the clock was now a few minutes back, he readjusted it to the actual time. Everything about time must be precise after all. Giving a proud huff, he handed the time back to its respectful owner.

“It was no trouble. Like I said, it was easy.”

He was curious, however, why did she come up to him of all people? Even when she did not know who he is. It is a strange observation.

“I guess asking strangers to fix clocks for you is not something you do often?”

The Muse tilted her head slightly aside when golden pearls meet his silhouette, quietly approaching him from behind with a clock in her hands. ''It doesn't work.'' The young artist muttered as if she were asking for a favor. ''Can you fix it?''

He turned around slowly and looked at the clock and then at the young woman holding it. Fix it? There was no harm in restoring something in his element. A polite smile formed on his face and extended a gloved hand, hovering it over the broken device.

“It will take only seconds,” Chronos responded before using his ability to reverse the clock’s state. A blue glow was surrounding the object, parts of the clock moved in reverse - going back to their rightful configuration or rightful state. Once Chronos could tell it was back to its rightful state, he drew his hand back and the blue glow diminished. He gave an accomplished grin and gave an easy going laugh, “There you go, easy!”

“Amazing architecture, these pyramids sound impressive? I am curious on how they are such wonders. It makes me think of Greece’s architecture, have you seen the Parthenon? A lot of the temples the mortals make for us gods are quite impressive too...”

“While the nature of Egypt is not much to brag about, the Egyptian people made some excellent architecture. Take for example, the Great Pyramids. Massive tombs for the Pharohs of Egypt, the equipment used to create the pyramids was nothing spectacular yet they made such wonders.”

“This is not a contraption, this is who I am! Excuse you!” He snapped, narrowing his eye at the offender. He was not fit for battle anyway, he would much rather talk things out but no, battles do not work like that. Chronos scoffed at the demonstration of Sun Wukong’s strength.

“Of course I’m aware I can’t lift that because why would I need to? Besides, time manipulation is much more useful.”

“Ha!” Sun Wukong let out a single chortle as he leaned against his mighty staff, taking amusement in Chronos’ offense. “Contraptions can only help so much, my friend. Why rely on creations when you can rely on yourself and your own strength.” The King demonstrated, bringing up a single arm and flexing, showing his strength. “Besides, I doubt your gears can lift my Ruyi Jingu Bang.”
