I’ve swapped yesterday’s photo for this one because I didn’t like yesterday’s image but I love this picture. It’s a portrait I took at Christmas time of my 2 beautiful step-daughters with their 100 year old grandmother who is also my mother-in-law. I have posted this today because I love to capture generational photographs - photos that capture across 3 generations. But also I’ve posted it because the nursing home where MIL lives has had to close to visitors due to the virus and trying to keep their clients safe from it. I usually go and visit at weekends but today we had to telephone instead. (1/34 scale) Traditional British Corner shop - A simple detail for the flat above the corner shop.... I thought I would put a clothes dryer in the window.... I used plasticard rod to get the shapes I needed by using a template to ensure they were all the same... I airbrushed the clothes dryer with Vallejo Silver 👍 the washing is paper folded over and glued in place... I ventured out and took a free returns parcel back to the post office for proof of delivery today. As I felt a bit guilty taking a parcel to to the Post Office but not buying any postage I bought a few items to go in the fridge as the Post Office counter is part of a local corner shop. (1/34 scale) Traditional British Corner shop - The start of the interior, I've gone for a wooden counter and this was achieved so far by using white plasticard to make the room and then I sprayed it with white primer before painting the wooden areas black and then some mahogany brown. Swipe to see my tin plate signs I've added to the shop front. I applied some gloss to these to give at least a little shine to them. I need to weather these up a little too to add to the overall effect.
