Short stories, novels, or poems?

Well, if we're talking about writing, then short stories and novels. I love both. I mostly focus on my novels, but sometimes a random scene or idea pops into my head that I need to write down, but it's not developed enough for a full fledged story, but I just need to write it down, so a short story is born.

What genre do you prefer reading?

Romance and fantasy. I'm just a hopeless romantic and I love magic.

What genre do you prefer writing?

Again, romance and fantasy. I'm not that good at coming up with lore and stuff, but I'm happy with my smol magic system.

Are you a planner or a write-as-I-go kind of person?

I wish I was a planner. I have the idea, sometimes I already know how it will end, but the rest is just a gaping hole of nothingness that I have to fill out. So, yeah, I'm a write-as-I-go person.

What music do you listen to while writing?

Every kind of music. There's no real type of music that I seek out. I just need something to accompany me on my writing journey.

Fave books/movies?

Currently: Favorite book is probably Born A Crime by Trevor Noah. It's a biography and not actually what I usually read as stated before, but it's such a good book. It's educational, interesting and filled with humor. It's a good read.

While movie on the other hand it has to be Pride and Prejudice (2005). I don't need to explain why.

Any current WIPs?

I'm currently focusing on "Daisy" and "Him and Me - Bound by Fate" because, you won't believe this, but I actually have them somewhat planned out.

I want to try to finish "Foliè" as well and write on "The Memories of The Future" more, but that is more difficult because the gaping hole of nothingness is staring at me everytime i open the file. I have some scenes, and the general idea, but the rest is just "okay, great, and now what?"

If someone were to make a cartoon out of you, what would your standard outfit be?

Ooof, okay. Hair in a braid with a fringe a little too long. An oversized hoodie with long sleeves to fiddle with. Dark bell bottoms and some sneakers. My favorite black feather earrings and my four old as hell rings. (Very important, they are on the thumb and index finger of each hand. No other fingers).

Create a character description for yourself

Oh boy...

Painfully introverted girl with a lot of insecurities (thanks to school and people she never asked for their opinion👍) that made her socially anxious with the social skills of a rock. (I bet the rock can hold a conversation better than she can though). If you get to know her, you'll find out what a sarcastic yet sweet (not her words) person she actually is. She tends to overthink every interaction she has and has cried several times because she misinterpreted something.

A very gentle and hopeless romantic at heart (which doesn't play well with her social anxiety). Tries to be helpful when she can, but will shut down if put on the spot. You'll find her in a corner praying to whatever entity is playing Sims with the world that no one comes to talk to her. Will wear a smile most of the time and laugh at all your jokes because she doesn't want to be disrespectful. She can be a total bitch when you get to know her, but her snarky and sarcastic remarks mean that she feels comfortable around you.

Names every stray animal she sees. (Recent addition: a male cat now named Maestro)

Do you like incorporating people you actually know into your writing?

Nope. If I do, I don't do it on purpose.

Are you kill-happy with characters?

I do kill off the "bad ones", although not always. I will and have traumatized my characters (I'm so sorry Leon) but I would never kill a character. I just can't.

Coffee or tea while writing?

Water baby~

Slow or fast writer?

Used to be fast, but now I jump from WIP to WIP so technically slow because I'm not far ahead with any of them, but I work on multiple.

Where/who/what do you find inspiration from?

Anywhere!

If you were put into a fantasy world, what would you be?

Good question. Probably one of those characters that lives secluded, in the middle of the entchanted forest, that talks to mythical creatures and everyone thinks is a witch or something.

Most fave book cliche?

Soulmates. I- Listen! I love romance, and soulmates with a bit of good angst. *chefs kiss*, you know? Anything "fated" and i'm sold.

Least fave book cliche?

I'm sorry, but enemies to lovers. (I can enjoy it only if it's written good). I just get too invested and then pick side, which leads to me not even wanting them to get together.

Fave scenes to write?

The angsty/fluff/romantic scenes. I love a good cuddle scene, a good kiss scene, or a good crying scene.

Most productive time of day for writing?

All the time! But as i'm writing this, I would pick the evening, because the mornings are so fucking hot right now, even writing makes me sweat.

Reason for writing?

To be able to share with lovely people at least a bit of my heart, because I pour it in every word. I also write because I genuinely enjoy it~

First of all, I love you Letters, thank you for the ask.

Okay so, lore behind We All Lie Amongst The Thorns and Survival Is A Team Sport. I have done proper wip summaries on my intro post here, but I'd be happy to go into more detail.

We All Lie Amongst The Thorns is a fairy tale retelling. The main character is my version of Sleeping Beauty. The story starts on her presentation ceremony (the day about a week after her birth when she is presented to the public) where a fairy from each discipline will bless her, except for the divination fairy, who will read her future. After the blessings are given the divination fairy has her vision and says that she will be cursed to fall into a deep sleep on her sixteenth birthday, and that this curse will bring about the kingdom's downfall. The king, terrified of losing his power, sends the newborn baby deep into the woods, far away from him. And thus the story begins.

Survival Is A Team Sport starts out on a beautiful sunny summer day, the main character Camryn's birthday. He and his friends are on the way to his house after school to celebrate when suddenly the sky goes dark and strange things start dropping from the sky. The kids' path home is blocked, so they take cover in a nearby garage. The sounds of chaos continue throughout the night, and when they finally peek out in the morning, everything has changed.

can you give us the origin story behind tkopdr? what inspired you to write the story? where did the idea come from? what motivated you to put pen to paper and actually write it?

Origin story- a varying amount of things that interested me including lore/mythology, several weird dreams and pirates all merged together to craft this... storyline

Where did the idea come from-. Not particularly certain I had some OC's in mind for over seven years... finally figured out why they wanted to belong to.....then about 50 more showed up knocking on the door 0_o

What inspired it- probably my internet in pirates of the Caribbean (not even technically a favorite like lol) and pirate queens and leaders that made huge impacts on the pirates throughout history. Grace O'Mally and Anne bonny both have a special place in my heart. So does Stede Bonnet

What motivated me to type it out since I don't hand write anything legitable- well I started in fanfiction and made some friend who have been great support to me and they inadvertently motivated me to actually write out my series versus leaving it in my head and I have made a few friend since then who have continued to motivate me when I was feeling down.

So in book one I'm warning there will be a long as thank you page.... with several pen names on it considered this a warning (this is not the speech getting used but... decided to include one in the warning)

@lillybaaaka- who is the first friend I made on Tumblr and a fellow fanfiction writer (I love your work...) who taught me a lot about writing. 🫂

@adhdprincess a friend who taught me a few things about punctuation and who writes the last of us fanfiction and another friend I made shortly after joining Tumblr and has been a fun person to talk to about wips. 🫂

She has a wip I'm super excited(the scarred angel) about and is my beta reader who has been really amazing (thank you so much!!) 🫂

It’s not wacky per se… but i like to create mythologies, maps, geographical contexts/weather patterns, and history for everything that happened before the book started.

is it a bit intense? maybe. but it’s so fun.

i know a lot of authors like to do this, so it’s nothing really unique. so i guess I'll actually choose something a bit more specific to each book down below 👇

ToV:

People own “domains” within the Dream World, each of which is unique to the other. And if they are an Arcanic, they can learn to “build”/“seize” a domain within the Arcane World.

The entire domain lore is genuinely some of the fun parts of the ToV lore. The idea that dragons try to replicate their domains in the tangible world of Elayza, which is why they build their dens the way that they do. Or that if you die within the Arcane World, your mind becomes tethered to that domain while your body calcifies, keeping you just alive enough to be a vegetable in real life, which living a groundhog day of suffering in the Arcane World.

And, of course—can’t talk about domains without talking about mental domains. The parts of a person’s mind that can shrink into and exist in without leaving, or invite others into as a telepathic connection or mind link.

I haven’t seen many authors do the entire domain thing, to be honest. But maybe I’m just not looking close enough.

LotF:

The idea that all magic sings and exudes a certain colour of fog invisible to the naked eye.

It’s tied to one of Evan’s unique ability of being a Singer with Artist Eyes. He is able to hear the songs of magic and see the colours of the specific spell before the effects of the incantation are fully formed. That includes with telepathic and telekinetic magic as well.

OH also! The ability to condense one's genetic code into a single string of Aura, or the magical specialty of trapping people in the labyrinths of their own mind.

It’s not the wackiest, if I’m being honest. But it is one of the less spoiler ones.

the mind labyrinth one might be common. i know i’ve seen some form of it in books featuring telepathy, like kotlc for example (my middle school self’s JAM). but i feel like the execution is different idk.

TIS:

The souls of the dead pass away into a river; and whatever the river feeds becomes the host of the dead.

The sun and the moon stones of the earth/soil you were born on determining the supernatural you are.

The "time-stealing" forcefields around the colonies that alter trespassers' ages.

THE SENTIENT HOUSE OF KEYS.

The lore behind the Cult of Hedon and their origins...

Bro, I could go on, but I’m not explaining ANY those ones in any more detail than that. Too many spoilers. But I definitely haven’t seen anyone else do these ones before.

I would be curious to see how other’s execute these tropes, but a part of me is also excited by the idea of having it unique to my stories. Nevertheless, if they already exist, I’d love to see how our execution differs.

✈️ A Travel Guide into my WIPs ✈️

༺ My Recommendations ༻

ToV:

Okay so for ToV, the Belt of Domains or the Hollow Tree Forests would be an absolutely MESMERIZING destination to go.

The Belt of Domains because quite literally, they are (mostly) abandoned dragon dens filled with reactive and sentient geographical magic (the walls are alive and want to devour you). And if they aren’t abandoned… Well, wouldn’t it be a treat to find out who occupies those grim quarters? 😌

And then the Hollow Tree Forests! The place with the stream that Alan almost drowned in after blowing up the entire section of the forest. Whoopsies!

I’ll add an excerpt from Throne of Vengeance, Volume 1 which has a description of the forest.

The trees were tall and thunderous, with trunks as thick as boulders and as wide as five adult bodies standing shoulder to shoulder. Networks of branches overhung from above, with some trees carrying sweeping vines that grazed the forest floor and were decorated in blooming varieties of bioluminescent flowers; while others carried their leaves up above as a canopy that selectively leaked green-hued light upon the grey rocks. Thickets of roots ran along the forest floor like the earth’s veins, with patches of fungi and other mysterious-looking plants of fluffy, spiky, swaying textures and mannerisms filling the pockets of spaces between each vessel. [...] When the snow settled yet again and my stomach had yet again emptied itself of acid, we found ourselves standing in a farther region of the woodlands, where in place of grass, cracks of sparkling periwinkle stone ran along the woodland floor, and the mix of deciduous and evergreen trees from the nether regions slowly gave way for an entirely different species all together. I tried my best to wrack my brain of their identity, but as far as I was concerned, none of my studies seemed to explore this mystic variety. Their trunks were silver and metallic, wrapping around each other in knotted twists. When the branches shook with the wind, a chiming melody sounded in place of the flutter of leaves. And in place of leaves, clusters of twinkling, berry-like bunches congregated over the skyline. When light filtered through the berries, it refracted into the inverse of its colour palette—a curious case indeed. Sprouting from the twinkling colourful clusters, thin fibres fell towards the forest ground. Those fibres only fell where patches of clay-coloured moss spread, and never on the periwinkle geodes. Every so often, a spark would bolt through the fibres, crackling through its length like lightning before disappearing entirely. - Throne of Vengeance, Volume 1 [PREORDER HERE]

LotF Series:

For LotF series, I’ll have to say the Mountains of Ividor, or the Dragon Territories. Specifically, the edge of Soil-Celfifa (Soi’l-Cel’Fifa is the proper name but lol), which is the desert of white sand where hurricanes of sandstorms blind anyone who tries to leave the desert. Beyond that point is a rainforest that leads to the Pools of Time and the tomb of a very specific goddess 👀

We made two more brief stops within the forest and one in an endless plain of blood-red sand fields. The desert, Morreial said, stretched for kilometers beyond the horizon, far past anything he or the girls had ever been able to venture. Queerly, it was named Soil’Cel-Fifa. He also mentioned two curious things. One, that at the bordered edges of the barren plains, the sand suddenly shifted to a celestial white colour and blew near constant sandstorms that blinded a person upon entry. It was the primary reason that their travels did not extend beyond its borders. The second was the origin of its name. As it translated in Galka, Soil’Cel-Fifa meant ‘Land of the Crescent Moon,’ named after the two crescent moon goddesses, ‘Fi’ and ‘Fa’. Morreial pointed up to the sky while he rested on a sand dune and provided me the luxury to appreciate the bronzed goddesses’ presence in the lilac skies. - Throne of Vengeance, Volume 1 [PREORDER HERE]

TIS:

For TIS? That’s hard as balls bro. Inkarnyus has such INTERESTING destinations, I don’t even know.

Actually I do know, lmao I lied. Albridor, The Royain Colonies, the Sunken Kingdoms, the Isles of Ingyar, the Imperial Gardens, or Cilvecia (obviously).

I'll do brief descriptions of each as they appear in my outlines since I don't have excerpts for this series yet.

The Royian Colonies: Floating islands of different realms concentrated with homogenous populations of specific supernaturals. The islands are surrounded by a iridescent forcefield called the 'Time-Stealer', which punishes trespassers by 'stealing their time' (making them age faster). It's really hard to travel to the colonies as an outsider for this reason, but once you're in, you're greeting by planets with crystalline rings in the sky, and halos of rainbows that twinkle amongst the clouds, with electric blue water and flora of vivid, hallucinogenic pastels to warp your sense of reality and bend it into the vision of the native supernatural. 100% would go just for the shrooms-esque feeling LMAO

Sarceria in Albridor: Albridor, famed as the wealthiest kingdom in all of Inkarnyus, divides its kingdom by the 'inlands' and the 'outlands' based on which side of the lake they are on. Sarceria is the name of the inlands of Albridor, located on the palatial island exclusive to only the upper class of Albridor. Its tall, diamond-brick palaces gleam as bright as snowflakes, and the paved streets are perfect for carriage rides through the peaceful ton of nobility. The forests that surround Sarceria are a marvel to be wondered, with species of birds, reptiles, and monkeys never seen outside of its woodlands. Topped with a beautiful view of the lake, Sarceria is a site to see and adore... so long as you can ignore the begging on the other side of the river.

The Sunken Kingdoms: The underwater kingdoms in Inkarnyus, spread across all the oceans and inhabited by the different mermaid races. From the mazes of aquatic flora to the serpentine beasts that lurk beneath, or the sea-crystals that form phosphorescent frost over the coral reefs that build their palace walls-- the Sunken Kingdoms are one of the coveted wonders of Inkarnyus' world. Just make sure you don't become anchored to those ocean floors.

The Isles of Ingyar: Shielded by high walls and tough soldiers to patrol their skies, no one knows what hides within the mysterious Isles. All those who live within those walls are not allowed to leave. Not with their memories, that is. And all those who try to enter will be bound to stay forever. Take the gamble, win forever.

The Imperial Gardens: Homeland of the One, Empress of Inkarnyus, the Imperial Gardens it the greenhouse for all wonderous beauty. The fertile soil beneath your feet smells like petrichor, and leaves footprints of new fungi every place you step. Mysterious fragrances of musk and sea salt tinge the orchards of fluttering white blossoms, and the strange, whispering flowers of the open-field meadows are surrounded by beds of murmuring rocks, all warning you to run away...

Cilvecia: Previously known as the kingdom of Liyana, the kingdom of secrets is bordered by a magical wall, shielded from all intruders with lightning strikes that zap a person brain dead upon contact.

From the Unenchanted Forest inhabited by your typical monsters and bordered by quicksand that likes to migrate to wherever their next victim tries to hide to the communal graveyard for all those soldiers (and their families, who should not have been causalities of a battlefield, yet nevertheless found themselves victims to the attacks) who lost their lives trying to win over the unconquerable nation.

Then, the farmlands of Hirza, where crows perch atop the barn of the wealthy Verena Family, crowing at every hour to hide the shrieks within. Or the historical city of temples and architecture-- Berna-- home of the scummiest of politicians and the most mesmerizing of art (for a nation that cut off the feet of all their most talented artists). Oh! I should mention the antithesis of the Unenchanted Forest, the Enchanted Forest: just as deceptive in name as the charming singers that lure you in.

And we can't forget about the Moors of Ghouls, where the trees become hosts for all the dead buried underneath their roots.

But let's move onto the bay Porsa: the hub of oversea trade and forbidden voyaging into the swampy seas of the south. The Mystical Waterfalls with shadows too big for water that shallow. Gumor-- the city protected by natural borders of uneven terrain and rocky bedsides, home of the prestigious Arcos Academy. And, of course, the Arcos Estate, where a certain massacre still bloodies the walls.

And perhaps, but most definently not least... Tyeer. The capital of Cilvecia and the decorated province of the Queen's palace. The city of secrets. The city of gossip. The city of technology. The city of scandal. And most of all-- the city with a bloodlusty queen with a desire for war and conquership.

Cilvecia is the place to be! Why wouldn't you want to visit those deathly gallows? After all, how bad can it be?

༺ Who are the tour guides? ༻

ToV:

Morreial has canonically been Alan’s tour guide when he was taking him travelling in Volume 1, but I feel like a better guide would be Alan himself or Cara. Both of them are nerds, Alan in a Mensus way (textbook smart and super knowledgeable on the history and technical facts about geography and whatnot), but Cara has actually explored more of Elayza than people realize. Apart from growing up in the forests, she was also the only person to swim the full length of the River of Time, and she basically lived underwater in the Pools of Time as a kid. I wouldn’t be surprised if a part of this girl’s lore was that she managed to cross past the sandstorms in Soil-Celfifa and just didn’t tell anyone. It seems like her.

Not to mention, Cara also toured the entire Non-Mage World to conduct research on the different supernaturals that lived amongst humans. She’d be a fantastic tour guide.

LotF:

Evan has canonically visited every single corner of Elayza because this bitch is a wanderer, LOL.

Real talk though— post-SoC? Evan would be the ideal tour guide. Pre-SoC? Faer or Qatya. Qatya more than Faer, to be honest. Qatya is a Seeker, so her job is to quite literally explore and create maps of Soilaila beyond the borders. All the uncharted territory if he’d field of expertise. Meanwhile, Faer is a Huntress, so she finds herself following animals into unexplored regions in her pursuit.

TIS:

Naliya would be a phenomenal tour guide for Cilvecia specifically. But for the full range of Inkarnyus? Blaire Wynnen is the logical response.

Realistically though? No one is boarding that tour bus if Blaire is the driver LMAO. Not because she’d drive the bus off the cliff, but because the cost for the fare would be an irredeemable price.

So, with that in mind, second candidate would be Selven Sarcony or Amanda Marine. Both of them work as La’des for the Cilvecian espionage agency (LESA), so they have a general feel for all the kingdoms in Inkarnyus.

For Albridor specifically, you’d want rather King James Marxian as your tour guide, or Ashley Valencia. It might be hard to book the King of the kingdom for a personal tour of his lands, but it would be the safest tour you’d go on. Ashley is the Chief Diplomat for the Albridorian Embassy in Cilvecia, so you’d also be safe with her. The key to touring Albridor is doing it with a Cupid as an escort. You’re never leaving that rose-coloured dystopia without their hand to hold on the way out.

ToV:

Alan blew up a part of the Hollow Tree Forests, and then proceeded to drown in the stream’s currents. He also got visions from the sun god, Yozar, and nearly got cannibalized by a tree. And in the Belt of Domains, he unintentionally invited dragons into a certain domain and entered a 1v1 with said dragon.

Does that answer the question?

(Before you wonder why I didn't mention Caramel, it's because she actually becomes quite... well-mannered? while travelling)

LotF:

Fawn would probably be the spectacle, to be honest. Fawn or Evan. Those two siblings are a bit of a “theatre kid on drugs” kinda vibe.

Fawn would probably bring the trees “to life” and have them start slowly following everyone during the tour as an ominous presence before someone notices, and then proceed to chase them down full force until the person pisses themselves screaming and crying. LMAOOO

Evan would… I dunno… blow up the mountain? 🤡

(it’s funny because it’s canon)

Qatya would probably just introduce you to her military friends and then teach how to climb trees to go ziplining through the Soilailan Appalachians.

Faer would give you her weapon and teach you how to secure your first quarry.

TIS:

Ashley would take you clubbing in Albridor until 5am. You’ll be batshit drunk on Albridorian wine and some sort of questionable substance that was probably laced with something that makes you start to hallucinate your sleep paralysis demon and its clones in the sky. She’ll hold your hair up and laugh at you while you puke your guts out. And then, she’ll tuck you into bed at her apartment, without any memory of all the questionable and terrifying things she goaded you to do while drunk.

King James would just take you on a carriage ride to the docks of Albridor, where you’d go on a boat ride with the swans and watch the way the water sparkles like glacier water in the pale winter sunlight under the Albridorian sun.

Naliya would lure you into the Enchanted forests of Cilvecia and ask you if you can hear the sirens sing.

And Blaire would uncover all the secrets of where she’s touring you. Of course, not without a price.

༺ Souvenirs! What are they? ༻

ToV:

Morreial canonically advised Alan to take a flower studded vine, a pinecone, and a patch of electric moss from the Hollow Tree Forests. But Alan would tell you to select your favourite flower and watch how it glows when you touch it, and then place it in the dark.

Cara would give you the most interesting souvenir— a scale from one of the dragons of old, who used to occupy the Belt of Domains.

What you SHOULD take home is a book from Naila’s library, or a slice of qhwam se meera during the Festival of Magic. Or a mask for the masquerade and a fashionable outfit to top it off! Or a blessing coin for the altars from the palace temples.

LotF:

Evan would give you the most goated souvenir ever. He’d take you to the Ividorian beaches and help you find a piece of sea glass that reflects the colour of your Aura back to you.

Qatya and Faer would be too focused on their tasks to remember to give you a souvenir at all. Unless you count the meat of your prey.

What you SHOULD take home, however, is quite literally anything that glows. Especially if it’s a gemstone. The gems of Soilaila are the twinkles of the gods’ eyes.

TIS:

King James would get you a wedding contract LOL (i’m being serious).

Ashley would get you a felony charge.

Blaire would earn you a scar and tell you to call it “her special souvenir”.

Naliya would give you nightmares.

Selven would give you a crush (on him. man’s is charming as balls and for WHAT).

Amanda would be the onLY normal person and probably buy you a necklace from the mines of Denelot, or a werewolf tooth and badge from the Royian packs. Or a Seal of Resistance from the Royian Colonies. Or a mermaid’s shell from the Sunken Kingdom.

In terms of what they should go home with? Nothing. Taking anything out of its mother-nation in Inkarnyus is a sure fire way of putting a target on your back.

The labyrinth is a hall of dead eyes. They all stare at me in conviction. Did I do something to upset the ghouls of the shadows? Why do they stare at me like I am the shackles to their prison?

Each step forward morphs into the endless halls I had already passed. How long have I been here? How long had it been since I had started wandering? What was time to me, when the endless stretch of infinite hallways had become my new reality?

The eyes of the shadows all turn inward. I can hear the chill of their voices long before I can see their faces. If I'll ever get to see them at all.

'Remember,' they warn me. Their voices shiver up my spine, trailblazing across my scalp, tingling the empty spaces of my mind. What was I supposed to to remember? What was reality outside these halls?

The echos of their warnings compel me to the walls. Who had spoken to me? Which faces belonged to the voices in my head, whispering in my ears? The only thing I find staring back is... Me.

The mirrors of the walls shatter with the realisations. Fragments of exploding glass impale my arms and legs with gritty shards. I shield my face from the impact-- on reflex. I don't really care if I get cut. Clearly, my mind was already scarred.

The ghouls of the walls are my reflections. I am the dead eyes that haunt me.

OKAYYYYY. That was fun! Now, time to give you guys lines and tag the TCW Crew.

This is from Volume to 2 of ToV. Specifically, the climax. Have fun with that lol:

I swayed on my feet, struggling to stand without air. The world around me was my opponent. I did not know who to fight anymore. There were too many enemies. Too many attacks, all happening at once. I was only one man. How could I fight them all? All I wanted was to protect my people… I thought balefully. All I wanted was to protect my home and finally rest. “Just let me die…” I whimpered, collapsing onto my knees in tears. My tears themselves were poisonous, scalding my skin down to the muscle. Did I extinguish the flames on my arms? I could not see anymore. Black smog and Von Doro’s silhouette blackened my vision blind. Maybe I was still burning. Maybe I was on fire. Maybe I finally get to rest. “Die?!” she hooted as another blazing inferno decorated the sky in blue and red ferality. “You don’t get to die until I allow you to! HA!” Her laughter brought a sudden awareness to my body as it withered in suffering, but not death. “Your death is MY CHOICE, daara. Mine all mine!”

So.... did I disappear off tumblr lowkey for the last week or so? Womp womp WHOOPS! Anyways, we're back with a banger, finally addressing the plethora of tag games I've been mentioned in. If I missed yours, feel free to @ me again. But for now, thank you to the lovely satoh for the tag (not tagging for now), @paeliae-occasionally, and the open tag from @mysticstarlightduck.

Answering for the Singer children, the ja siblings, and Cara & Caramel (per satoh’s request).

Without further ado, let's get into it...

1. who looks more like their dad

singers: okay so this is tough because face structure wise, fawn has the closest likeness, and she also has his eye colour. BUT, even tho evan has a hybrid of his mom and his dads face structure, because he’s a guy, the male features of his father translate better. so it’s hard. i’d still say fawn tho because she looks like the female version of him jas: raheer is known for looking exactly like morreial bro it’s acc insane. he’s got the dark wavy hair, the ivory tanned skin, the grey eyes— the entire shbang. only thing he’s probably missing are the blue lips and the fullness of morreial’s lips. cxc: cara and caramel are orphans who never met their biological parents. they’re also not blood related, so who knows?

2. who looks more like their mom

singers: elenfa’s eyes, nose, and face shape are all her mother’s even if the colour palette of her features are from her father. she also carries herself like her mother, so her jas: riyzela has cara’s nose and heart shaped face, but everything else is very morreial coded. still, her. cxc: n/a

3. who eats the most?

singers: fawn. she canonically ate an entire dining table of meat solo (she was extremely hungry and happy once she finished). she also proceeded to eat evan’s birthday feast almost entirely solo jas: raheer, simply because he’s taller and brawnier than riyzela is. more muscle mass and his vigorous activity give him a mighty appetite. plus, being fawn’s best friend cxc: caramel. she quite literally told alan that 2 dozen apple-vines (a sweet savoury THICK dessert fruit delicacy) was a snack. and when he says that’s a lot of good, she tells him anything less than that is a bird’s appetite

4. who has been in the weirdest situations?

singers: evan. i don’t even need to explain this one but i will anyways. mans found himself in situations where he accidentally blew up a mountain, fell into a volcano, got cannibalized by a tree, had a lightning strike to the chest, got stuck in a portal prison in another realm… i could go on jas: raheer but only because fawn is his best friend, and fawn likes getting into shenanigans. before evan was born, she was the notorious singer menace cxc: cara. i know that’s a surprising answer, but cara just does it for the vibes. she poses as a man and goes to compete in jousts; she purposefully drowned herself underwater as a baby to follow a cool snake; she learned parkour so she could hunt birds… yeah, definitely her.

5. who sleeps the most?

singers: fawn. she enjoys her beauty sleep and being relaxed, and she’s the only singer sibling to not be chronically stressed and burdened with responsibility jas: riyzela. raheer is so diligent and militant for sleeping in. riyzela doesn’t gaf cxc: caramel. she literally schedules naps into her daily routine.

6. most stable romantic life?

singers: elenfa funnily enough, since she's not allowed to date due to the strictness of her upbringing. so when she finally does get into a relationship, it's a proper, stable one. jas: raheer because he's a good boyfriend and knows when to end the relationship on good terms. He ends up in a long-term relationship too that starts off on an interesting basis, but is healthy throughout since they were friend first cxc: cara and morreial literally get cuffed one-month into meeting each other and end up being the healthiest, most stable couple ToV has ever seen. not to say caramel doesn't end up in a healthy relationship and married to the person she gets with; but cara doesn't have the.... toxic bits that caramel and her partner have (OOF)

7. worst habit of each?

singers: elenfa: shutting people out fawn: diobedience and shirking responsibility evan: refusing to accept help from others \\ bottling up and exploding w his emotions \\ using people as his blank slates

jas: raheer: push over + lack of boundaries riyzela: player + committment issues

cxc: caramel: overcontrolling and lack of consideration for others \\ stealing for fun cara: losing track of time + getting distracted \\ manipulating people

8. who’s the most dramatic?

singers: evan (fawn is close second tho). this kid deadass flung himself into a volcano as a coping mechanism, and when he realized the entire civilization he moved to didn't have exciting fashion sense, proceeded to runway style dress up every day until they picked up their slack and became the most fashionable region in soilaila.

jas: their both apathetic as hell.

cxc: caramel. i don't need to explain this, i think. she likes extra. she breathes extra. which means, she breathes theatrics. certified drama queen

9. who had the weird phase?

singers: ooo i feel like evan and fawn tie for this category. before evan was born, fawn was the certified menace in the singer palace. she quite literally would haunt the halls and scary the shits out of everyone until she befriended raheer. evan, on the other hand, would climb up heights and launch himself of the palace top floor, so i feel like they both match up in that sense.

jas: maybe riyzela? to be honest, they're both pretty normal.

cxc: cara because its this girl's hobby to travel the world and unearth deep lore of every civilization

10. best cook in the family?

singers: ironically... evan. he hates food but is great at cooking. make it make sense (its because he's the only one who learned how to be self-competent)

jas: raheer because him and his dad used to cook together as a father-son bonding moment

cxc: LMAOOO

11. best memory together?

singers: i feel like they'd all have the same one, to be honest: the day they all finally just... sat in each other's rooms and stayed up late, talking. they all grew up isolated and separated from each other, so being able to just sit on the floors of elenfa's room while looking through old memory books and sharing stories, laughing-- they had never done that before.

jas: i think raheer’s favourite memory of them would be in their childhood, when she would read stories to him and he’d have his head in her lap, painting sunflowers on her arm riyzela’s of them would be the day he asked her to give him his wedding tattoos and present him at the altar

cxc: caramel adores their heists together, because it was the times where she felt she and cara bonded the most. caramel doing her magic and cara yapping away to keep her company. cara’s favourite memory, on the other hand, would be the day caramel asked for her name, took her hand, and said she’d take care of her forever

12. worst memory together?

singers: oof. without delving into spoilers, evan’s worst memory of elenfa is probably the day he confessed a deeply traumatic event that occurred to him when he was 6 years old, and her response was to tell him she was disappointed in him, then tattle to their parents. that level of betrayal never left him, even decades later. his worst memory of fawn would be when she looked him in the eye and said he was no brother of hers, at least not one she cared about anymore. elenfa’s worst memory of evan— again, while avoiding spoilers— would probably be the day he woke up from his broken arm injury thing and she saw his scars for the first time. mainly because she felt like such a failure of an older sister in that moment. and her worst memory of fawn is when she told elenfa she was selfish and horrible and everything she resented. youch. fawn’s worst memory of evan is probably after the soc injury he sustains, when she sits outside his door and hears him breakdown in guttural sobs for the first time. she’s never heard him cry like that before, but hearing it then made her realize how many times he cried like that in private because of how much she ignored him, so that’s def a yikes. THAT or a major spoiler event, so i can’t say that one. her worst memory of elenfa is probably the day she saw elenfa arm-in-arm with riyzela, promenading their special spot after elenfa basically cut her sister off and neglected her for the rest of their childhoods.

what do you mean the singer children have a conflicted dynamic with each other? idk what you’re talking about it… 🫣

jas: raheer’s worst memory of riyzela is probably when he watched her spiral into her alcoholism. not a fun time for anyone, but esp not her baby brother who idolized her. riyzela’s worst memory of raheer is seeing him slowly wither away during his coma, helpless and incapable of doing anything but watch him die.

cxc: caramel’s worst memory of cara is honestly probably the day she told her she didn’t want to steal anymore ORRRR the day she begged her for help and cara didn’t come because she was out with morreial cara’s worst memory of caramel is probably seeing the faded look in her eyes after she loses her mind

13. dream trip together?

singers: evan’s dream siblings trip is one they actually end up going on— to take a family trip around the entire Non-Mage World and go exploring properly. the last time they tried… events transpired. fawn’s dream trip would specifically be the mountains of soilaila, or the eastern continents. elenfa’s would be ividor or exploring the deserts together and actually crossing through the sand plains.

jas: raheer would want to go skiing with riyzela. race her to the bottom since they’re both water-dancers. riyzela would probably want to go somewhere beachy where she could collect pearls and go deep sea diving. raheer would actually be able to keep up too, hence the sibling trip.

cxc: caramel would want to go to the moon. deadass. she’d try to invent some magic form to achieve it. cara would just want to go to a meadow of flowers to collect bouquets and stargaze at night.

14. WYR: not be able to shower or change clothes?

singers: evan— not shower. he had faer had a convo about this once and she was horrified by his answer (he was discussing how he doesn’t pee) fawn— not change clothes. she plays in dirt all day so she kinda needs it elenfa— not change clothes. she’d be upset about it, but this girl lives in first and would always be covered by soot and ash if she didn’t shower (so would evan, but he’s willing to make those sacrifices for fashion)

jas: riyzela— not shower. she’d just go for swims. fashion means the world to her. raheer— not change clothes. he’s a soldier. he basically wears uniform everyday anyways.

cxc: caramel— not change clothes because she already doesn’t lol. not unless you offer her something pretty. cara— not change clothes. she also likes wearing the same thing everyday.

15. who’s older?

singers: the order of siblings from eldest to youngest is: elenfa, fawn, evan.

jas: riyzela is older.

cxc: caramel refuses to admit it, but cara is older.

16. describe others in 3 words

singers: evan would describe fawn as: free-spirited, bubbly, and diplomatic. he’d describe elenfa as perfect, cold, and elegant. fawn would describe evan as reactive, distant, but charming. she’d describe elenfa as admirable, intelligent, but hollow. elenfa would describe evan as unruly, chaotic; but powerful. and she’d describe fawn as full of life, charismatic, and everything she wishes she was.

jas: riyzela would describe raheer as shy, kindhearted, and loyal. raheer would describe riyzela as cunning, conniving, and disinterested.

cxc: caramel would describe cara as talkative, enthusiastic, and gentle. cara would describe caramel as secretly tender hearted, fiercely protective, and unmatched in terms of power.

17. role model?

singers: evan’s role model is ret ja pietro candreva and noctem. fawn’s role model was elenfa. then, she gave up on the idea of them and started to aspire to be the woman in the mirror. elenfa’s role model is caramel, alan, evan, and fawn. she wishes she was all of them, for all the qualities she loves about them. but also, secretly, her role model is qatya and amara.

jas: riyzela’s role model is cara and amara. raheer’s role model is ret ja pietro, morreial, riyzela, and evan.

cxc: caramel doesn’t have a role model. she just wants to be someone who doesn’t disappoint the people she loves (cara). cara’s role model is caramel.

18. who usually has worst ideas

singers: evan. goes without saying. once again, i bring up the “launches himself into the volcano on a regular basis” complex he has

jas: riyzela. raheer tries to stay out of trouble, but tends to get dragged into it, whereas riyzela is a conspiracist.

cxc: caramel. i feel like i don’t need to explain this either, but she likes to break rules outta spite, which births a lot of bad decisions.

19. giant insect on wall— certified bug killer?

singers: fawn would yell at evan for trying to light the entire wall on fire while trying to kill it. elenfa would be the only person focused enough to get the job done.

jas: raheer would probably hide behind riyzela until she killed it for him. but that’s only when they’re younger. if they’re older, you’d find him with his lamp on in the middle of the night, experimenting with the captured bug, testing out different poisons and antidotes on it. riyzela wouldn’t even bother killing it (unless raheer asked her to). she’d notice it, shrug, and look away.

cxc: caramel WOULD do it, but only if she couldn’t goad one of the boys to do it for her.

Hello there!

I saw Italy has one of the non mage locations for ToV.

I'm Italian so it caught my attention 😉

Can you tell us a bit more about it?

oof okay okay! Thank you for the ask @gioiaalbanoart ! So, Italy doesn't have a huge presence in the book, in truth. The cast (Morreial, Alan, and Amara) only visit it once when they're travelling the Non-Mage, but it's where they meet a very important character named Pietro Candreva.

I don't know if I've mentioned him before. Maybe in passing. But he's the only character in the entire cast who is 100% a non-mage, meaning he has no magic whatsoever.

Pietro is the son of a blacksmith, who takes a hobby in throwing knives and making weapons. He has a seeing-aid dog named Rosco, who helps him navigate around the city (he is blind), and thus conducts most of his hobbies in the mangolia tree garden, outside his father's supervision. Pietro calls Rosco, 'his eyes', and the dog-owner bond between them is so precious ugh I love them.

He uses Rosco to help him learn how to throw knives and sense the world around him. He is often seen walking around with his hand on Rosco's head, using him for stability and guidance, but it's more for Rosco's comfort than his own, since it is later proven he doesn't really need Rosco in all situations anymore.

Pietro is the person who teaches Alan about weapons, the different types (based on what he learned from his father), and gifts him his first dagger. He also ends up being Amara's friend, her armsmaster, and SPOILERS FOR THE LIGHT OF THE FLAME SERIES: he ends up becoming the chief commander of the Soilailan military.

I love Pietro. He's sarcastic, bland, and over everyone's bullshit, but he loves showing off his love for weapons. I'll give you some notable quotes from him, but yes.. i apologize for going on a character rant instead of a location rant. Unfortunately, Italy really only acts as the meet-cute location for this integral character.

Pietro Quotes/Descriptions:

Rosco received the package and handed it to Pietro to review. His dozens of winter scarves, gloves, and cloaks (amongst a wide assortment of thick attire), as well as the protective oils for the skin, were contained within that leather bag. His hands studied each with a touch so gentle, one would easily forget he was the son of a blacksmith, toughened and calloused harder than the leather he wore. One would easily overlook the display of various blades or ignore the party room he had transformed into a blacksmiths station to forge all his goods. If one were simply to judge Pietro based on the tenderness of his character—the softness in his clouded eyes, the discipline in his posture, the elegant handle of all his movements—one would easily mistake him for an artist of sculptures or paints, rather than a man of the anvil and hammer.

Pietro stared at me blankly, like I had asked the rudest question in the world. I didn’t discover this until literally three months later, but turns out the kid hated repeating himself. Pretentious much? But whatever.

As I found the doors of the villa again, I made sure to drop by Pietro’s room first to ask him instructions on how to find the place again. “You will be coming back?” he inquired rudely.

Rosco snarled at me, nearly ripping a chunk of my torso off if Pietro did not bark at him sharply. He gasped, then winced, then bit his cheek until it drew blood. But the boy did not cry. His dogs whimpered more than he did.

He shrugged and whistled an unknown command to Rosco as he left. Of nowhere, Rosco sprinted towards me, jumping onto his hind legs and nipping my blouse with a gruff bark. I yelped, backing as far from him as I could only to lose my balance and fall directly into the well. When I recovered from the splash, it was to the chuckling sight of Pietro tossing a treat to Rosco and affirming him with, “Good boy”. I watched him as he left, hand on Rosco’s head and gait as strong and confident as a boy with pride. All his trust was in that dog. All Rosco’s loyalty was to Pietro, in his slow speed that he matched with patience and devotion. They relied on one another

Lore Drop?

womp womp would you guys be interested if i dropped some Arcanic Scriptures poetry?

if you don’t know what the Arcanic Scriptures are, you must be new to the blog! or you don’t regularly stalk me, which is just as offensive 😒

Hello, I have a question.

Ok so it is really interesting to me that the country has a written moral code (CMV). Is this treated more like a law or a religious belief in terms of how it is enforced? Like could you go to jail for not conforming or you would just be ostracised by believers?

Also who wrote it? When was it written? And how is it distributed? Like does everyone have a copy?

Okay, I'm finally getting into this one. It's a doozy, so prepare yourself. You've been warned.

📜The Cairoyas Morals and Values (CVM)📜

Okay! So the Cairoyas Morals and Values (CVM) is the written moral code in Soilaila, derived and formulated based on the teachings of the Arcanic Scriptures. Due to this, yes— there are some non-believers who do not abide by the CVM. One of the most notable disbelievers is Caramel. However, since the Arcanic Religions is the most prevalent religion in Soilaila (basically the only one for the longest time, actually) most Cairoyas in Soilaila abide by it, and the laws of the nation are heavily dependent on it. So let’s get into the history of the CVM a bit.

As aforementioned, the CVM is based on each of the 12 values presented in each chapter of the Arcanic Scriptures. They are as follows:

1) Honesty is the highest moral ground one can stand on (and thereby the highest quality of a noble man).

2) To hold the truth in one’s heart, one must wear it on their lips and on their arms— Truth is spoken with honest words and acted through honest deeds (Do as you say, and say only the truth).

3) Words are true when they are sincere and considerate of time, place, and oriented towards compassion and empathy. Actions are honest when they are completely enacted in earnest sincerity and kindness towards another, and not to exalt oneself (Dismantle one’s pride and aim for selfless nobility).

4) If you do for others, do for others; not for the pride of oneself (Do not seek to reap rewards or benefits off your actions; do to fulfil the needs of others).

5) Honour thy neighbour as family; community is the foundation of one’s soul.

6) Honour thy land as a boon from the Gods; do not exploit the selfless grace of the Elements.

7) Do not take more than you can give.

8) Do not sell more than you can buy. Do not give more of yourself away where others are not willing to replenish. Foster only those relationships that foster you.

9) Do not take advantage of another. One’s weakness is a chance to offer a hand of strength out, not to push one down.

10) He who succumbs to their heiteria can be recovered, but he who indulges in the heiteria of others is called a sinner.

11) He who is a sinner that feeds their own heiteria through the hurt and suffering of others is called a morregal. A morregal is exempt from the nobility of personhood; prestige cannot be earned until reparations are earned. Morregals can repent, but rarely repair.

12) Honour thy zema, for it makes you mortal and whole. All souls possess zema. It is the souls moral obligation to balance thy zema so it never becomes heiteria.

As you can tell, most of them are to conduct individual behaviour and guide a person into living the Cairoyas standard of a noble life. HOWEVER, there are three extremely notable CVMs that are community-based, two of which are actually enforced by law. The three are CVM #5, #6, and #11.

CVM #5: If someone dishonours the Elements and tries to exploit the land, they can by trialed and harshly punished. It is one of the more unforgivable crimes in Soilaila, since the Elements are gods that will seek vengeance and atonement from the entire kingdom by taking away their boon of magic if people do not worship and honour them. So if one person is screwing it up for the rest of society, expect to be visited by Markum ja and his mind-bending abilities.

CVM #6: Soilaila is an extremely community-based kingdom. Neighbours help neighbours to such an extent, it is seen as impolite to not invite your neighbours over for mealtimes. People don’t eat alone in Soilaila. Some people in the pre-Incident era took that principle so seriously, they wouldn’t eat a meal until they could eat it in company. For Cairoyas, being neighbourly is a huge thing. That’s why the post-Incident world ignoring the orphaned that begged on the street of the Vanin Ring was such a disappointment— before Hilbert had bred that distrust of selfless service in the community, no one would have let any child beg on the side of the street and not help. But Hilbert’s betrayal quite literally reshaped society. A Limious is bound to his duty to serve and protect is community, and not only did Hilbert indirectly cause the Incident that killed half the population of Soilaila, but he also refused to help anyone evacuate, and instead saved his own ass by abandoning society and fleeing for himself. Hilbert’s betrayal was the start of a selfish Cairoyas society. Every man for himself was Hilbert’s legacy.

CVM #11: Ah… the morregal. Quite literally a banned word because of how bad it is. Beyond being a slur in Cairoyas culture, it is also a word laced in dark magic, seen as a punishment by Nain, Maadh (central goddess of Soilailan mythology) and the god of sin and chaos himself (Morohav). In order to be branded as a morregal, you have to have committed one of the 5 morregal crimes (SA, torture, abuse, slavery, homicide) and have your full name said, then hyphenated with the word (i.e. if a woman name Garcia was deemed a morregal, to give them the brand, Von Doro would have to say, “Garcia, you are morregal. Garcia-gal is your new name.” or something along the lines). ONLY VON DORO IS PERMISSED to give the branding. The reason for this is because if you give the branding to someone who isn’t a ‘gal, you get the mark instead for falsely accusing someone. That being said, once someone does get the brand, dark magic carves an M into their forehead, turns all their blood black, and basically revokes all their human rights away from them before disposing them to the public court of vengeance. Any crimes committed against a ‘gal are considered null, so you could commit a morregal crime against a morregal, and it wouldn’t count because they aren’t seen as a person, and therefore are free game. It’s honestly really twisted, but ‘it’s Cairoyas society for you. Sick and twisted, but only in the shadows.

NOW, to answer your specific questions:

1) Is this treated more like a law or a religious belief in terms of how it is enforced?

Apart from the extremely clear legislation about disrespecting the land, the Elements, and morregal crimes, it is predominantly treated as a religious belief enforced by societal norms and the heavy presence of the Arcane Family (+ their undeniable influence on/) in society. Since all magic is dependent on the Arcane Family continuously maintaining their secretive prayer services (things only they can do because their magic is the only one suited for it, and your magical abilities are based on your physiology), they are known as one of the Big Three Families and therefore hold a lot of leverage in society. Appealing to the CVM is equivalent to appealing to the Arcane Family, thereby securing your ability to perform magic. It also helps to not be at the mercy of the Jervees, Jer'vazir, and especially not Von Doro. But I digress...

2) Could you go to jail for not conforming or you would just be ostracised by believers?

Both! Jail for ruining, harming, or disrupting the land/ecosystem. Ostracized by society and potentially harassed and mauled by them. (Public violence and the public court of immoral law is surprisingly extremely commonplace in Soilaila. People will not hesitate to beat someone they deem a criminal up. It's a scene in CoS, so a bit spoilery, but an assassination attempt on Evan's life quite literally resulted in a crowd mobbing around Evan and the accused assassin, all cheering him on to slit the guys throat and make him suffer, and if he went too far, they wouldn't tell anyone. Needless to say, the 13-year-old Evan was extremely disturbed by the entire ordeal, for multiple reasons). But anyway-- morregals are dealt with first in a court of law, then handed off to the wrath of the public. But minor things will just earn you less blessing coins to offer to the Elements during your magical prayer tributes, making your magic suffer as a response. Societal disadvantages.

3) Who wrote it?

Many authors! Some more famous than others. Very rarely was it written by anyone outside the Arcane Family. I'll list the authors down below: Arcanic Authors: Moran from the Fifth Family (Arcanic Priest) Edjet of the Fifth Family (Arcanic poet) Heery’a from the Second-Fifth Family (Arcanic poet) Iman from the Fifth Family (Arcanic Scholar) Lyon from the Fifth Family (Arcanic poet) -> wrote the myth of Qalvin-Rose Other Authors: Xelfin from the Fourth Family (Artist) -> man wrote the most goated Arcanic myths, and wasn't even an Arcanic (myth of Devas) Falz from the Third Family (Elemental) -> also wrote some of the most notable Arcanic myths-- The Myths of Kephyr-- rumoured to be based on his own encounters with the goddess of air Note: these are all the authors of the Arcanic Scriptures. The CVM was created as a cumulative effor based on the motifs, themes, and morals of each of these authors' stories.

4) When was it written?

Long long long ago. The Cairoyas Calendar works on a (Cairoyas Era = C.E.) scale, where the events of ToV occur in 769 C.E. (1538 A.D. in human years, since 1 Cairoyas year = 2 human years). The Arcanic Scriptures were written Pre-C.E., in the Dragon Era (D.E.), though some parts were rumoured to have been written in the Age of Zaverena (A.Z. -> translates to Age of the Soilailan Pantheon. Basically, the era were gods and goddesses walked the earth of Elayza, and all of Elayza was divided into their domains). As a result, certain sections were written eons ago, or at least drafted amongst the age of gods, while the bulk of it was written during the D.E., as reflections of the A.Z. time period, and the lessons learned from the tales of the Zaverena's history. However, what can be confirmed is that the CVM was compiled and officially drafted within the second C.E. century. This is most likely when the moral code began influencing society beyond the mythologies of the Arcanic Scriptures, and Von Doro was giving people moral guidance on how to achieve affluence and mercy from the gods and the volcano using said values. But again... these are just rumours. History was destroyed with the Incident, so who's to say what is reality?

5) How is it distributed? Does everyone have a copy?

It isn't distributed, per se. Moreso, the values are integrated into one's schoolings. You are taught the CVM the same way children are taught how to talk to their elders, or how to look both ways before crossing the road. It is so integrated into society, it is almost unspoken to follow the CVM. Not abiding by the CVM is more peculiar than finding out someone does. And while most Cairoyas households know of the CVM and have read the Arcanic Scriptures, most households actually don't own a Scriptures. If you'd like to read it, you typically go to the Temples to borrow a copy. The Arcane Family like to safeguard their things, so the only real versions of the Arcanic Scriptures one could own in their own household are the abridged versions, with a larger emphasis on analysis and the CVM components as opposed to the mythologies. Alan's father owns a copy, but only because he is the High Scholar. This is not typical practise for a Mensus, otherwise.

Okay okay okay let’s review the 7 deadly sins because in my culture, there are only 5 lol. 1) PRIDE 2) GREED 3) LUST 4) ENVY 5) GLUTTONY 6) WRATH 7) SLOTH

Okay i actually want to approach this in 2 ways. first, i want to do it from the cast of the LotF series // CoE, and then after that, i want to do it for their mythologies.

Without further ado... let's get into it!

LotF // CoE cast:

PRIDE - Hilbert Limious: his arrogance of being the most infamous Limious is quite literally why he lost the title. His arrogance when he was young tho... 👀 (hot I'M SORRY)

GREED - Caramel: she quite literally steals from people for the kicks. she doesn't even need her loot-- she's already wealthy at this point. AND she has magic.

LUST - F'dryx: he's going to be elected for two of these categories, but pre-Island of Elen arc, he was the horniest mofo alive. that island changed him as a man, but yeah. he quite literally loved to run his tongue in as many ways as possible 💀😏😳🫢

ENVY - Fawn: she gets so jealous of Elenfa befriending Riyzela, she ends up resenting BOTH of them for it, and clinging onto Evan. she is also highly possessive over Raheer because of her envy (she doesn't like him having friends outside of her, and unfortunately, he's so okay with this...).

GLUTTONY - F'dryx: also pre-Island of Elen arc, he was known as the drunk bard. his intro in the entire series is quite literally him getting shitfaced.

WRATH - Alan: oh yeah... especially volume 2 and onwards. rip to nice alan :(

SLOTH - Riyzela: she doesn't like to do things or get involved unless she must. Her, or Caramel, because she's also lazy LMAO

Regardless, I grant you this unedited scene I literally JUST scribed for my current wip-- Court of Sins (CoS), Chapter VII. The Youngest Fire-Singer. It's the first book of the Light of the Flame Series, in case you're new to my blog and don't know about all my different wips and projects. I'll link my masterpost blog guide underneath the excerpt too for your reference. Without further ado...!

He launched off the bed, snatching Echoe's raised arm and dragging it behind him as he dashed out of the room. Evan was surprised by how difficult it was to drag Echoe. Her armour was heavy, her muscles taut and impressive, and her stature far too rigid and on guard for Evan to swipe away in a moment of distraction. She was, by posture alone, the perfect soldier. Still, she ran behind him first, then beside him quickly thereafter. As they jogged through the halls, she flashed looks at the observing guards on duty, easing their stance from diligent to relaxed. Her cautionary glowers were the only reason no one stopped the young prince as he skipped, twirled, and frolicked around the halls. When he had run out of breath, Evan slowed down into a stride, placing a hand on her thigh to balance himself and catch his breath. All the while, she peered down, smiling. “Tired so easily, Khos ja?” Echoe asked after five moments had passed and breathing had not become any easier. “I thought you wanted to go to the library to learn how to join the military?” Evan's head snapped up. “How you know that?” “Just because we don't speak all the time, that doesn't mean we are not always listening.” We was Hel'Valha. And Echoe's disclaimer was a clear confession. An admittance, that, despite all of the young prince's loneliness, he was never truly alone.
