The Clair Senses (2/9)

1. Clairvoyance

This post is about my personal experience with Clairvoyancy!

I would consider myself to have mild clairvoyance – if I’m not paying attention, it can be very easy to ignore or forget about (which mean sometimes I surprise myself when something is immediately visible). As such, this is a sense I try to pay particular attention to in my daily life.

Dreams: I have a lot of very significant dreams. If I wake up directly after having one, I’ll usually record exactly what I remember into my phone. Sometimes, my dreams are so vivid, I will wake up and have to ask myself whether or not the experience happened in my daily/waking life. Dreams like this began in my childhood, so I’ve gotten better at distinguishing the differences, but sometimes it can take me minutes or hours to fully realize that the experience was a dream. The real trouble comes when I happen to dream about the place and people I am directly interacting with. Just the other day I had a dream in which I had a perfectly normal conversation with my dad. Interacting with him the next day brought on a vivid sense of deja-vu, reminding me that one experience had been a dream. This made the message of the dream all the more clear to me. Thus, I find that a lot of the dreams I have offer very important messages which are often clear after some consideration.

Visions & Images: I am a very visual person in my daily life, so it’s not surprising to me that I do have visions. When I meditate, I see very clearly, but this also happens when I do less formal work. My guides most often communicate through visual and emotional formats, and I was first introduced to many of them through visions or sight. Images come through very clearly as forms of communication when they are associated with my guides or within meditations and journeys I am on.

Mini-Movies: These happen during meditation or past-life work for me. There was one great example of this, when I was simply outside reading a book, and I suddenly saw a woman’s face (an image) clearly over the page. I knew, on some deep and instinctual level, that I loved her – that I had been in love with her in a past life. Suddenly, a whole series of memories from a previous life was playing through my mind, as if I was watching a movie. It was to date the most powerful past-life download I’ve ever had.

What I See (daily): I can see spirits, beings, and energy most easily in my daily life, also sensing them often comes before seeing them, as I often need to ‘tune in’ to what’s there. I rarely see auras, but when I do, they are very clear. I most often se auras when working with animals, but this is more about visualization and energy work than sight.

Alright, it’s been a hot second. So let’s get back to it – here’s my personal experience with Claircognizance!

If I’m being honest, Clairgognizance is pretty hard to pin down, because it usually functions in tandem with another Clair-sense for me. For example; knowing that a guide is reaching out and then seeing/hearing them, or feeling a guide’s presence through a different sense. As I mentioned with Clairvoyance, the root of my past life experiences/memories comes through as Claircognizance first – I get a massive energy download, or a vivid ‘knowing,’ followed by visions, mini-movies, and sometimes dreams.

In terms of true Claircognizance, I’ve had far more experiences where I start something I’ve never tried in this life and find that I just know what I’m doing (or have some kind of inexplicable knowledge). Reading oracle and tarot cards felt strangely familiar as soon as I started – I took to reading like a fish to water. I also seem to know a lot of ritualistic movements, and I’ll know how to interact with deities I’ve interacted with in past lives. There have been a couple of times I’ve trusted my sense of ‘knowing’ what to do and let it carry me through a ritual or experience – and afterwards I’ve found out I was spot on!

On a more basic level, however, I find Claircognaizance useful in daily life, when I know what I need to do or pay attention to when I have time to fully tune-in (i.e. I won’t walk out of a class to do spiritual work, but I might get the instructions for what to do later while sitting in class). Like I said, it’s a hard sense to pin down.
