Don't judge the book by its movie. 💫 💫 Just finished watching the film adaptation of TSIAAS and omfg I couldn't stop cringeing! 😣 I know the book was kind of cheesy but it was sophisticated in my head, okay? Specially with all those science talks Daniel and Natasha had pluuus their arguments about their beliefs - which I absolutely adore! (Thought-provoking arguments of characters always get me, duh 🙄). So, I just watched The Darkest Minds...

The acting wasn't bad. Just everything else.

The books were more dramatic, dark, gritty and more real than the movie.

The soundtrack!! What was that!? It was more like an indie, romantic teen soundtrack. I mean, come on. These kids are running for their lives! The whole world is against them for crying out loud!

Liam's accent.. I knew from the previews that it wasn't going to be southern and honestly now having seen the whole movie, it's the lesser of two evils.

Just like what happened to the Divergent series, this one was a let down as well. If they had a bigger budget and could start over that'd be great.

Bottomline: this wasn't it..

I finally finished #reading #theluminaries by #eleanorcatton It was a crazy story from so many POV’s, but I liked it in the end even though I felt not all my questions were answered. Happy last game of thrones day 😭. How does one go on after this? I’m procrastinating on starting this last episode, avoiding all the feel I cannot believe #gameofthrones has ended. One of the best tv shows ever, how does one go after this? It was absolutely not what we wanted, but when has it been? The ending IMO was brilliant, unexpected, sad AF😭😭 and still left us with so many things unanswered. They did tell us we wouldn’t be satisfied with this. 🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️. 🐉🐉🐉🐉 . QOTD: Funnies book(s) you’ve read? Sorry for the late post everyone. I’m not feeling well so I passed out for three hours 😅 These books are some that some come to mind. I realize that I forgot to put shadowhunter books in here, which definitely are hilarious. I’m reading QOAAD and there has definitely been some laughs. I recently reread Illuminae and it made me remember that all the characters are really sassy😁I love all of them. Same bout with Six Of Crows. It’s been a while sense I’ve read it, but if I’m remembering correctly it gets pretty great. I really want to read King Of Scars, but I gotta stick to the books I’m reading right now, maybe actually finish a book or two 😂 With TDM and RPO, the books are so much funnier then movies. They should have included all the dialogue and not changed it. The Ready Player One movie was also nothing like the book, so what can you do? Also, Skyward. It’s probably the most amusing out of all of them, pretty intense sci-fi book, but I was literally crying laughing like every two pages 😂.
