Good afternoon friends, and Happy Memorial Day to anybody celebrating! 🇺🇸 Apologies for my lack of posting this past month, as soon as I left school I had a ton of unpacking, cleaning, and reading to catch up on. It took me a while to work up the motivation to start a new theme (since I’m not in my dorm room anymore), which I’m honestly still struggling with. It was a super fun summer romance with the best outdoorsy setting, although the main character wasn’t my favorite protagonist that Bennett’s ever written. Read this beauty yesterday, it was just so cute that I couldn't put it down! I haven't read a contemporary in like MONTHS and I forgot how much I like them. It's not anything serious, if you want a cute, fun, really easy, really quick read: this is perfect. One of the criticisms I've seen for this book is that the characters fall in love too quickly and yes that definitely happened and of course isn't realistic, but I just had to ignore the little voice in my head who kept screaming "WHAT THE HELL?? WHAT THE HELL?? WHAT THE HELL?? WHAT THE HELL??" and I just enjoyed the book. Oh and a little FYI: this is the UK cover and title for this book, the US little is "The Anatomical Shape of A Heart". It's raining here today, so we all know what that means: staying inside and reading more!
