“Positions?” Jude asks out loud as he reads over the note. The question didn’t really make sense to him. Did they mean how they cuddle? That seems right. He’ll answer for that. “Um.. I like laying down and cuddling with Amanda. Putting my face against her chest and just getting to doze. I think I would like being her big spoon, but I don't know if she’d like that.. With the Entity I like sitting sideways on his lap and leaning up against him. He’s a comfy place to rest too. This wasnt hard to answer so.. one?”

Nothing like a D&D campaign lost to time and quarantine... originally I was supposed to keep track of a game I was running with friends but I guess it’s been about 4 years now soooo... yea good bye to that group...
I am gonna be playing in another campaign that was started by some other friends and I will be keeping track here. We have been playing on and off for years now and COVID really put a damper on everything be are committed to finishing it this year. Our forever DM wants to play so I might take the initiative to step up to the plate. Just not really familiar with the style of home brew/3.5 they are used to playing. Definitely gonna be using 5e to keep up with the 6-7 players we have.
A long recap but it’s been a wild ride.
ALLEGIANCE
The Lion, the Tree, the Shield, the Dragon, the Hammer and the Eagle. All banners are now tattered. Blown endlessly in the raging winds of change.
As quickly as the cold of winter has blossomed into the colors of spring, so has passed the 8 months since the meeting of the 6 Houses of Faradun that was interrupted by the great sword of Crog the Destroyer. The event that began with each house wanting to know the fate of the crown as well as a discussion of the recent surge of evil creatures in the south, ended abruptly by it being decimated by one. As quickly as Crog appeared, so he vanished. King Jonas Haihelm ordered a group of champions from each house to go and investigate the source of evil in the south and bring it to an end. Little did the group know that this was a mere ploy for he and Rya Erolith to take total control of Faradun.
Since that time, all that the champions thought they knew has now come into question. Houses, loyalties, family and friends, faith, and even one’s very character and beliefs have been put to the test. With each passing mission, the group learns more about the true dealings of Faradun and at the same time, loses a little more of themselves in the process. Past intertwines with the future right here in the present. Legends of old give to the fight of tomorrow with gifts to our heroes of today. Light versus dark. Good versus evil. Heirs versus upstarts. All with the throne at Lion’s Keep and the very fate of Faradun in the balance.
So, what have we learned since the 12 Champions traveled south towards Ariuk and beyond? What started as mere pirate raids in Ariuk turned to a full-blown goblin invasion in Ghaskill. For evil truly had come to take over Faradun! Azriel Denrod and his House Denrod companion told the rest of the group that he would help stabilize the southern region of Faradun if the rest of the group would go to Ghastkill. Here’s what the Champions have learned/experienced since:
• The source of the onslaught of evil is an entitiy known as “The Sun King”. The group of champions has seen and battled every form of evil ranging from small creatures to dragons; goblins to minotaurs, bandits to mages.
• Crog the Destroyer was one of four “war lords” of the Sun King, sworn to user in the evil into this realm.
• Orcs became slaves to goblins. Now allies.
• They befriend Dragnor the Orc and they liberate Ghastkill.
• The Champions must find the six artifacts left behind by the Champions of Centergard during the Axrus invasion in order to stop the evil to come.
• Priestess gives group the Spiritual Hammer of Tara Evergreen. She then asks to speak to Belgos alone. When the group returns, she is dead.
• Maleia disobeys Rya and is disowned. Calistra is disavowed. Price put on the head of Rast Bandor.
• Haihelm had Lionheart brothers killed and assured that King Lionheart took his own life so there would be no heir. Lionheart also proposed to Rya Erolith to join houses Haihelm and Moonshadow; a powerful alliance.
• Group gets the Battle Axe of Nix the Barbarian from Aurora the sorceress.
• Rast is the bastard son of not Lord Bandor, but of King Lionheart.
• Enter ship which turns out to be a dungeon. They meet and defeat Crog and destroy the portal. Black Knight killed in battle.
• Encounter a death knight, the cursed corpse of Persius Helm. They free him and get a dish used for his pool of seeing.
• Once in Gloom, meet Glenmore of Warrick, who at times is both friend and foe. He saves them from certain death at the hands of Wisteria the mage. The second war lord of the Sun King. Glenmore helps defeat Wisteria. Second portal is also destroyed.
• Festus Frangi of House Talon meets the group, tells them of the evil to the east in Icarus and becomes commander of the guard of House Talon since the Black Knight fell in battle.
• Glenmore and Festus join the group.
• Glenmore sneaks into a town meeting in Icarus and backstabs Rast; leaving him for dead.
• Rast resurrected.
• Group goes to Sunbreath, the holy city of church Pelor, to find next portal.
• Group fights various evil beasts along the way to Sunbreath, as well a group of bandits and fighters led by Glenmore. Calistra is mortally wounded and successfully resurrected.
• After scaling the exterior of the holy site of Sunbreath, the group works its way through a litany of what seem like mazes in the keep and finally encounter Ambrogno, the “little immortal one”, a kinder vampire and the third war lord of the Sun King.
• Ambrogno’s vampire spawn are both priestesses of the Church of Pelor and a friend of Petri. All are defeated and portal destroyed. You “free” Ambrogno from his servitude of the Sun King and he gives you the dual swords of Fallon Dupari, his “true love” and one of the Champions of Centergard.
• Once outside of Sunbreath, the group encounters members of the Jocastan riders. The riders pledge loyalty to Rast, the true heir of the throne. They agree to meet the group outside of Lion’s Keep on the south plains.
• The group hears of evil coming from Old Helm. Head to investigate.
• Meet four old “gypsy women” on the road. They re-appear in Old Helm to save Belgos.
• Old Helm’s lower half is for trade and all peoples of Faradun. Upper Old Helm is for the last of the dwarves.
• Lower Old Helm under control of Moonshadow troops, by order of King Haihelm. Later it is seen that Glenmore’s bandits are there as well.
• Saribelle Soulaxe is being held prisoner in her palace in upper Old Helm.
• Upon investigating lower Old Helm, the group finds the body of high priestess Sasha hanging from her home and Gamila Longbeard’s body hanging in front of their home. Norgrim and Nari go on a rampage and with the help of the rest of the group, defeat the Moonshadow guard and the bandits, but not before Glenmore escapes with the Spiritual Hammer of Tara Evergreen.
• The group goes to Upper Old Helm to free Saribelle Soulaxe. She is being held prisoner by a Dark-skinned elven priest.
• Enter Old Helm treasure keep that has not been open for two generations. Magically locked.
• Enter mirror room and fight reflections of themselves.
• Meet the last of Sun King’s war lords – Tiamat, the ancient dragon. Was tricked into service, but wants to kill group and escape. Tiamat freed and group finds King Soul Axe’s War Hammer and Illandra Isis’ holy symbol.
The group must now hurry to Warrick to retrieve the spiritual hammer from Glenmore before they can continue on the quest of ending the tyrannical reign of Jonas Haihelm and Rya Erolith…
Road to Warrick
• Battle 3 fire-haired dwarves and other creatures from the north.
• Encounter the gypsies. Want a female host body. Mumsy is a hag. Battle
• Enter Warrick. Haihelm banners throughout town.
• Learn that the townsfolk really like Glenmore.
• Find him at theater practicing performance.
• Eventually, Glenmore gives the group back “the stick” and agrees to help the group again to help save the town.
• The group prepares to head to Lion’s Keep to take back the throne….
