marcille and falin had some strange thing going on in the sense you couldn't quite tell if they were friends or lovers. turns out, it was a secret third thing that you had no idea involved you.

see, falin was a quiet girl. she didnt usually voice out her feelings and emotions. in fact, she preferred to keep things like that private, show her affections in quieter, simpler ways.

that was until she noticed marcille being strangely affectionate and close with you. only then did she start being a bit more around you especially.

and really that was the only time you started noticing. at first you thought your bonds as friends and colleagues were jst improving, finally getting the attention and appreciation from the other party members. marcille started offering to help you pack up your things or would offer to heal your minor wounds and stuff. but then falin started coming to sit next to you every meal time, she starts walking faster to be beside you, she even starts offering you some of her snacks.

it was nice, really it was. well, before things started getting a bit out of hand. it started as subtle glances at each other, ones you first thought to be some secret code between them. then it evolved to small things like racing to sit next to you or walk next to you. then it turned into quiet bickering. then it turned into out-right trying to one up each other. and by then you couldn't take it anymore, confused and worried all this was putting a strain on their friendship. that was until they both, in a fit of frustration, had admitted to you that they both liked you.

you realize the solution is simple and right in your face; why dont date both of them?

and so you do! thus begins the sweetly awkward first few steps into your polycule, one where falin seemed unfazed by the idea (in fact she seemed more than happy with the compromise) and where marcille would flush bright red and every small thing. it was adorable, both of the were.

among the three of you, marcille definitely was taking the longest to get used to things. the first few weeks were when her pride got in the way the most, either refusing to share falin with you or you with falin. it took a while for her to start being more open, for the lack of a better term. and it took you and falin a lot of very gently prying her off one another and spending time as a trio. though it hasn't stopped her from being envious every time she sees you and falin snuggled together near the campfire or sat next to each other at a pub, because the instant she sees you two, she pouts and slides herself between you two. she's a jealous girl, having two partners was NOT going to help lol.

falin's the opposite, as much as she was admittedly somewhat jealous before you all started dating. she's just happy she gets to be with her favorite people because she's literally living the dream life.

well, until her chimerafication and sudden it's just you and marcille. it was .. definitely something terribly difficult you two had to go through, but at least you were there for each other. and being for each other lead to the unspoken promise of being there for falin. while you two never really spoke too much about it (mainly because it'd upset marcille and leave her inconsolable for a few days), it was always in the back of your heads. there was always that part of you that felt incomplete because of it, and it was a part you were determined to get back.

marcille definitely got more clingy when the venture back down the dungeon for falin began, and all the more so when you had learned the fate of falin. she'd fuss way more about you, your health and your injuries. she was always ready to expend her mana just to heal you, even the tiniest of scratches. so you try not to get hurt, because it's something easier to do that to break marcille's heart even more. you have to be brave, for her and falin.

Unpopular opinion…

It seems as if everyone is annoyed at Bryce for not immediately sharing every detail of her world with the IC. Bryce did not read 5 ACOTAR books or know these people as we do. Her experience with Fae (rightfully) show that they are horrible. These people overthrew her enemy which must mean they are dangerous.

Although they do not physically torture her it is EXTREMELY CLEAR not just by their actions but actual DIALOGUE that they do not trust Bryce

Also, the IC just finished a war and for the first time in most of their lives are experiencing peace. We know from ACOTAR that Rhysand and friends will do all that is necessary to keep their world save even if that includes killing Bryce which could upon a portal for the big bad “Daglan/ Asteri”

Bryce realising she needs to escape and being reckless is understandable she left her mate and family behind and she doesn’t have time to win the IC’s trust. They clearly view her as a prisoner not a guest and have disarmed her. Bryce does not have one reason to trust them or even expect to them to be trustworthy.

I feel the people who feel let down by this crossover are let down by the fact that the CRESCENT CITY book centers around the CRESCENT CITY characters and isn’t more batboy smut.

There are definitely plot points that could have been dealt with better such as the information from Silene, everything about Ithan. The biggest issue I have with Bryce is her seemingly having this golden hamster wheel in her mind which happens to make perfect conveniently timed plans. Bryce does feel like a moderniser attempt at Aelin’s character. That being said constantly drawing comparisons between the FMC takes away from them so it isn’t something I feel I should do.

Ithan is so annoying to me especially his inability to stay on track or have any logical thought process. I don’t understand his undying loyalty to the wolves who abandoned and betrayed him. Sigrid tried to KILL HIM as well but he still yapped on about her and had no respect for his friend Cormac by not even protesting against the idea of resurrecting Sophie just to use her power to make himself feel better. He should have focused on the friends that are loyal to him which he even called his pack.

Also ENOUGH with the sunball references. Only so much benefits can be drawn from sunball which directly correlates with any real world benefit.

Tharion just feels like one big yap fest (lack of a better explanation to convey the boredom he perpetuates in me). Aidas and Appolion also could have spoken up about EVERYTHING about two books ago or at least in all their little encounters with Hunt.

I have religiously read every Sarah J Maas and all things considered I really enjoyed this book it might even be my favorite in the CC universe.

I enjoyed it more than Tower of Dawn, ACOSF and ACOFAS but I will not read the next book if it is about Ithan or Tharion.

I suspect Azriel is linked to Hel but Sarah definitely still has alot of loose threads surrounding him which is starting to feel redundant and an elaborate attempt at making him seem mysterious.

Things I would like so see in the Maasverse: the parasite being removed from the water and the Midgardians tapping into their raw power, better understanding of Bryce and Hunt joint ability. I also think Sarah could become one of the best fantasy writers of all time if she focused more on how the multiverse works (time differences, abilities (technicalities of it all). I would like to know what happened to Erilea because all the evidence points to it being a conquered world which will honestly just be depressing but we see that Prythian and midgard follow the same time sequence so perhaps Erilea is joined in on that time scape and Aelin falling through still happens relatively “recent”.

And I agree on how annoying the term “alphahole” is but lets focus on the real enemy “his luxurious length”. That just reminds me of ms Perky in 10 things I hate about you and Reginalds quivering member.

Let’s move away from the smut which was excellently balanced out in TOG in my opinion. I do think that Sarah amortised her credibility as a fantasy writer between TOG and ACOTAR by focusing more on the smut scenes and not the plot point. I am ready to be hated but I DON’T care about what Lorcan did or Cassian and the stupid headboard. I DO care about how the time differs between the universes, the different gods in all the worlds and how they link, each string on the harp and the different heritages.

do you have any hcs for barnacles and dashi ? I'm rewatching it and many episodes start with the two of them in the main area , oftentimes there's a third person involved but it's always the two of them so they must spend alot of time around each other :O 10 / 10 bonding

You'll get my headcanons I promise but first you gotta listen to me infodump, okay? Deal:

I personally headcanon that Dashi was one of the first Octonauts, she hasn't been around a super long time- but at least long enough that she was probably around for the first Octopod, and that would give her and Barnacles (and the other OGs) plenty of time to get close.

We know Inkling canonically founded the Octonauts, but I imagine that it was actually Barnacles who picked out the crew—over various fateful encounters (Kwazii, Peso), or already knowing them (Tweak)—with the two exceptions of Dashi and Shellington.

Shellington heard about them through the kelp vine by pure chance, and got himself a job via determination. Then, at some point—he recommended Dashi to Barnacles or Inkling, and got her a position as an intern. (He knew her through her photography; she took pictures for him once or something like that.)

I also headcanon they weren't called The Octonauts yet at that point. I headcanon that Dashi came up with the "Octonauts" name during her first few days, and they kept it. (Coincidentally, the first Octopod crashed during those first few days. T'was completely unrelated, I promise 😅)

Fast forward: I've been thinking about Dashi in AnB a lot lately, and the one question that keeps coming up is: "Why did Barnacles make her the Captain of the Octoray?"

They haven't addressed it in the show yet, and it felt a little bit like the writers just wanted her to Do Something, y'know? So I went back to rewatch some of her main series episodes, and this scene from The Surfing Snails stuck out:

This scene shows how much he trusts her. He trusts her to make the right calls, and to be careful. He shows this trust in her again in the Wild Windstorms:

"...I'm ready for this!"

"I know you are, Dashi."

I REALLY wish they had spent more time giving her some kind of arc, showing this trust being built. She absolutely deserved an arc like Peso's, where we could've seen her growth and her bond with Barnacles getting stronger. It would've made the Octoray thing make much more sense, and I would've loved to actually SEE her evolution from "getting stuck in a whale shark" to "inventing stuff with Tweak" to the level of respect that Barnacles clearly has for her in S4 and Beyond, but instead it feels like all that stuff happened off-screen.

I also wanna point out real quick; that Dashi is one of the select few characters to ever call Barnacles by his first name only. This is something that the writers frequently use to emphasize closeness between Barnacles and someone else (Kwazii, Natquik, etc), and Dashi has done it twice. I'll admit I thought it was an error the first time, but then I caught her doing it again in Sac Actun. SO CLEARLY THEY ARE CLOSE. YES? WE AGREE. YES.

*slams hands down on table* MISC. HEADCANON TIME ‼️ (which technically, could all totally be canon until the writers finally decide to give us real information ✨)

She has 100% read ALL of his books and journals, at least twice. Sometimes he gives them to her so she can beta read them, and she's also helped edit a few.

She has written her own journals, mostly in the form of scrapbooks, that she shares with him too. He has a first edition signed copy of one of them.

She made friendship bracelets for everyone on the ship after the Octopod was rebuilt, and he keeps his on his desk. It's still in mint condition.

I feel like at least ONE of the cameras in her collection was a gift from him.

She is trained on how to steer the Octopod manually. Considering the only two on board at the time who knew how to do it were Barnacles and Tweak—her showing slight interest was the only convincing he needed to teach her.

Sadly, she's never needed to use this skill. Yet.

She learned how to play harmonica when he decided to learn accordion, so they could duet together, but she got the hang of it much faster than he did.

They work out together sometimes. She's much stronger than she looks—and has won an arm wrestling match against him at LEAST once. She's also beat him in a foot race; it was almost a very close tie, and she needed to lay down for an hour after—but she did it. He will never live either of these down.

They definitely gossip in HQ sometimes, when it's just the two of them.

It actually infuriates me because, other than the ridiculous excuse for his name, there was a easy way to include him: Grant's thing is literally that he was a monster under Dracula's orders before Trevor saves him. He could have shown him as a monster and dont elaborate in the first season Then if he had had other seasons, he could have made the crew fight Grant at some point, and break his curse or smth. He could have introduced his monster form at the beginning of S2, even. I mean for fuck sake, he introduced a plethora of new characters over the seasons, HE HAD THE TIME. Im tired of seeing the same patterns over and over again. I used to follow some solo Louies (because I love louis lol) but I had to unfollow because the energy was constantly very negative. I remember how much hate H received from them when As it was became viral on tik tok. They said Harry writes bad songs with no substance just to make them go viral.. when as it was is actually a very heavy song lyrically. But the funny thing is, the same people are now encouraging fans to make FITF viral on tik tok because “it’s what Louis deserves” and I AGREE! But the double standards are crazy. Like? Didn’t you hate that app?? Also, I still recall when so many fans (including some larries) insinuated that Jeff bought Harry his Grammy and that it was undeserved. So many Louies wrote essays about it, even condemning the academy, talking about how they’re so glad Louis doesn’t “kiss anyones ass.” But now that louis followed them on Twitter, they all want him to get a nomination!! It just makes you think- they don’t actually hate this thing, they were just upset that it wasn’t louis. Harry releasing his line with Gucci? BAD! He’s greedy! Louis designing a clothing line? Amazing and exciting! Similar projects but very different receptions. And even among larries, Harry always ends up as the bad guy. I remember when boyfriends came out I thought Harry was singing about his experiences, but fandom quickly concluded that he must have been writing about Himself being a shitty boyfriend. So, it’s not possible for him to be hurt by someone?? He’s always the bad guy? The possibility of it being about Louis wasn’t even discussed. And now WAOYF has added to this ( A bop tho). And people Think this. I sent this and i just wanna say that i agree with everything you said, I'm sorry if my ask came off as negative or such, when i said ghost is fruity af it's basically what you said in how he was portrayed, i don't think writers have any specific orientation for him in mind as it's pretty much how the players interpret it.

As for self insert ships with him and anyone else, i don't mind people doing it honestly i think it's one of the ways fandom stays lively and thriving, plus it just brings people comfort cause it's their favorite character, same as any other ship really i don't think anyone needs to justify it. I've also been a GhostSoap shipper since like OG games, new ones just fueled me further but it's just that, a ship, cod is not about any of that jazz, it's for fandom side of creativity so when i said wild i pretty much meant in a good way ✌️

a while ago i was fantasizing about like, the boromir-arwen side of the love triangle and decided i thought their dynamic could be incredible (two chivalrous courtly lovers who bond over their destiny-riddled third half) so i give arwen plenty of time in the spotlight in that fic as well

as for boromir and aragorn, they are as dramatic as ever

this isn't meant in a negative way because I completely agree 🤝 but you're one of the few people I've seen who doesn't praise Audio Adventures to high heaven lmao so if you want to talk abt it, is there anything in particular you don't like? bc to me it is mostly the humor which is silly but in a way that kinda falls flat and seems too hmm tryhard? and when there's darker themes it kind of treats those in a too gimicky way too it feels all kind of ..superficial to me

the humor is very much. hm idk. tryhard is a good word i think? its like. its soo older ppl writing gen z lingo/jokes (and given that its written by a snl writer............ makes sense) there are a few jokes that i thought were funny enough but they all ALSO made me roll my eyes, which. isnt good.

and i agree on the dark themes! it feels afraid to delve into serious moments so it presents them, but doesnt really EXPLORE them. scarecrow's fear toxins are in the ice cubes, but its only used for a few punchlines during jack's panic attack and to sow general panic. the mayor has a major scandal, but oh its silly! "oh its like consensual but like not really but theyre there so it is right? <:)". it doesnt take the moment to let those stick with you.

its writing feels very snyderverse/mcu, you know?

i get that it can be hard to balance serious and silly moments, but idk. [whispers] call me crazy but i think it can be done.

about the story: tbh i've been suffering with writer's block for the past few months, which is why i didn't start the story earlier 😭 but now i've come to a realization that i really want to write something, and i'll only feel more stuck if i don't write at all - so i started putting some words on a page and that was it! my writer's block was done for! i have a little sneak peak for you too!!

You walked out the room, shutting the door quietly behind you, only to meet a familiar pair of eyes at the far end of the hallway. Scaramouche... He was dressed in more casual garb than the day before, yet his wide hat still sat atop his head. Three soldiers knelt before him, the apparent victims of his anger that morning. His arms were folded across his chest menacingly, and his beautiful features were twisted into a tight frown. In the light, you could make out thin, purple strands that were nested among his deep blue hair, a detail you hadn't noticed during the inauguration ceremony.

it's not a lot, but i didn't want to spoil too much 😭 i'm thinking of just writing, and debuting the first few chapters on scara's important days! like the first chapter will be released on his character teaser, second for his demo, etc. lmk what you think about that!

OH im so glad you were lucky with childe and his weapon 😭😭 praying for both of us to have that luck with scara when he comes by! i have 128 wishes + 45 pity (it's crazy ik,,,i've been saving since the beginning of september for this man) and honestly i'm kinda hoping he comes home early so i can get his weapon! i believe his teaser/trailer is coming out this thursday? just a rough estimation,,,but i'm so excited!

Of course! I’ll do my best to keep that in mind. I do agree though, most of the time it feels quite lonely in tumblr. I try to socialize with people once In a while but they never seem to get in touch. It’s understandable though, they have a life to live at the fullest!

But no rush when writing about the story! Take your time and even take breaks when you’re facing writers block. It’s a huge pain to deal with, I can relate to not gaining any motivation or feel like there’s a flaw in my writing. My ideas just…die out in the process of making them y’know? EITHER WAY YOUR STORY IS GOING GREAT! I’m really excited to see what’s in store for the future. Though, I can see where you’re coming from and I think it’s a good idea to release the first chapter and so on in days like those! Might make him feel special. 🤝

I’m really thankful to have Childe since he’s one of my favorite characters (comfort as well), and just having him by my side is enough. I only need to pair him up with scara as the harbinger team and hopefully I can collect more in the future! (Such as Sandrone, columbina..) I wish you luck on his banner, though I doubt I’ll get him quickly. I’m not even guaranteed and I’m so nervous about that 😞. I’ve started saving up since that Zhongli rerun, and I’m glad I had enough wishes to wait for when scaramouche finally releases! I promise to offer you all my prayers and luck to when his banner is available. 🙏

Yeah! I draw, however I only make sketches on my notebook since I don’t have enough money to purchase anything to draw digitally. More importantly I’d go insane if it were traditional art. There’s just too many hours to work on something and they get ruined by a margin. Not only that but I get art block 24/7. I used to have a side account for my art but I deleted it ever since, just felt like it wasn’t necessary or my drawings were plain and boring. But I’m glad you’re doing great drawing digitally! You should share some of your art with me sometime. <3

Aw, that’s a shame though. Many of my comrades/acquaintances either don’t play Genshin anymore, or just play in a different server. Most of the time I only co-op in bosses since I feel like it’s very interesting and fun to keep me occupied! But now that I know you’re in NA, I’m very excited. I wont let you down with those photo-shoots though, let’s give it everything we got to help each other and bring scaramouche home!

IDOL ⭐️ HANDS: Firstly, it seems that since it was not Lore’s idea to be reassembled, that he should get handled PROPERLY this time as an extremely sentient being. Agreed. Although, since everything is being done illegally and Lore is (good God) actually “property of Starfleet™️”, then maybe that’s not going to be the case?? I look forward to seeing what Data will say next (assuming he will be heard over Lore’s imminent objections); it may be because despite their feelings for one another, he knows or fears that his brother is still unstable and prone to violence (Spock saw evidence of it). 🔫 It may be that the Commander has surmised information that we’re not aware of (in connection to the Klingon war and “Chaos Orb”). 🔮 Or that Lore being put back in storage is safer for Lore’s fate as well; good luck selling our “Dominar of The Borg” on that idea! It’s hard to imagine Data simply as angry or bitter, but he’s entitled to those emotions as well (especially now that he has them). Reactions to his older brother have been cold, repressed; we’re left wondering exactly what was meant by “appreciate”…surely that wasn’t sarcasm? 💭 We want to believe Lore is being earnest here despite his vast reputation to the contrary. For him, it’s an uncommonly good acting job, if he is not. It certainly is pulling at our heart strings. 💔 🎥 The comics are considered cannon and all this takes place before the movie Nemesis — the persona of Lore that we saw in Star Trek: Picard was bitter as ever (if not more so), unrepentant, and swift to delete the younger…is this meant to be the lead up? Personally, I’d rather not see the comic book writers strictly bound to Picard, but it’s expected. Although, technically, Data is already non-canonically “resurrected” in the Trek comics in B-4’s body (do NOT kill him again, srsly); it was a 1st major divergence, from what I’ve been told! So, perhaps Lore and maybe a few others (like Sela or The Unnamed Orion pirate*) will manage to get away for some adventures without Starfleet — he’s done it before! 🚀 But Lore sure does liven up the storyline and offer much needed comic relief! 🤝 I think, what us fans really want, always wanted, was a true resolution…however tenuous. Not death. 😝 🤔 👯 But, do tell me, whose brilliant idea was it to leave Data and Lore alone on a mission together? Again. As if Descent never occurred. If any body swapping occurs this time, then they asked for it! OTOH, it has been cool as an underground storage locker full of dry ice and android parts to read!! *Orion pirate dealings were an understandable, favorited concept for Lore’s free time in fan fiction. Just as the Trek Beta Universe of novels had already imagined a Data combined with other personas — in that case…Noonien!

I am still SUPER emotional about the new Star Trek Defiant chapter, in detail, about the Soong Bros.

I mean at first AWESOME SOONG BROS TEAMWORK fighting against Klingons!!!!!

But then...Lore wanting to say that he is sorry to Data for everything that has happend and that Lore only wanted someone that would appreciate him like a brother...

AND DATA SAYS THAT HE ALYWAYS APPRECIATED LORE AND SMILES SO SWEET AT HIS BROTHER!! *cries in forever*

BUT THEN DATA FUCKING SAYS THAT HE "WILL ENSURE" THAT LORE WILL BE DEACTIVATED AND DISASSAMBLED ONCE MORE!?!?!?

FOR REAL???

Lore was just on the way to "better" himself. Help the team of the Defiant and follow their orders, literally going out into space again, risking his life...

And then Lore's face as Data says to him that he will deactivate him again...

Lore was like 'dafuck?' but he also looked like he will get realy emotional maybe even angry at that sentence...

Now...I can imagine that this will be a trigger for Lore to distance himself from Data again and make something his own way, maybe even going against the team of the Defiant...

Data you cant just deactivate him again! He is no ones property and should have to face a trial like a person. He has rights, just like Data. Lore said that he is sorry, his anger has faded. I am getting super emotional about my favourite chaotic Soong android again...

Or...this is literally a (bad) joke from Data and we see in the following comic that Data goes "Aah! Got you bro! It was juust a joke!" which I would love more. The Soong brothers were figthing and working so perfectly together, Lore saying he IS sorry for what he has done...They cant seperate again and Lore deserves more rights.

Please, let the conclusion of the next comic be good for Data and Lore's relationship!

Agree with this for the most part, but I am in no way violent. *chews on a telephone wire with my sharp teeth*, now down to business.

My issue with UKJ and Zora is that it was used as a way to redeem him. I don't care who he dates or fucks, I've drawn his fat lemur ass getting railed before. But the way the show uses Zora to make him "good" is lazy, uncreative, and a problematic trope. Perpetuating the idea that "you only need love, then you will be a good person" is just the whole "I can fix him" narrative in a different point of view. Being in love with someone doesn't automatically fix you, or make you a better person. Those things take time, effort, and a WILLINGNESS TO CHANGE AND IMPROVE. The way it's presented in the show is so jarring and sudden. Like what? One day he gives up on his hopes and dreams of murdering his nephew because he went ogga bogga at tall woman? No. That's lazy on the writers part. I know they just wanted him at Clover's wedding, but I feel like it would have been better if they cut the whole forced romance shit with Zora and made him attend with a character he actually has history with....CRIMSON!!!!!! He could have been her (platonic) plus one, and be giving KJ dirty looks the whole time. KJ is completely oblivious and hilarious hijinks ensues. But no. Madagascar fan blog on tumblr dot com operation-penguin can't have nice things *pouts so hard my dick explodes*.

Also "craving masculinity" doesn't mean he's queer. If anything Zora is presented as the most feminine out of all the mountain lemurs (and also aside from clover, crimson and a few others, most of the lady lemurs look very similar to the male ones meaning that this probably isn't much of a deviation from the norm). Zora's most "masculine" features are her hight, deep voice, and "gross"/violent behavior. Liking any of these things in a woman doesn't make you queer. This is of course looking at her with the most generous view. Tbh I don't like Zora at all. She's nothing but a romantic plot point for two of the male characters, and she's obviously meant to embody a mean spirited joke at "masculine" women. At times characters like her feel very transphobic, like "HAHAHAH the WOMAN is sooooo FUNNY.... WHY?? she behaves like a MAN and looks like a MAN!!! HAHAHAHH SO FUNNY SO FUNNY HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!" She feels particularly odd in specifically AHKJ because of how outwardly queer KJ himself is.

Am I saying that a female character can't be masculine or exhibit masculine traits? No. If that's how anyone is going to try and spin this you're either taking my words in bad faith, or didn't read any of this. Female characters (and male, enby, or any other gender of the vast spectrum) can and should be written in a way that isn't restricted to a small box of whatever the fuck "feminine" or "masculine" is, it's a fucking goodie bag put whatever the hell you want in them. But when you are taking a character and subverting expectations for their gender as a way to get cheep laughs it's pathetic. Such low hanging fruit and it's rotten. Unfunny, did not laugh, do better.

Also you need a straight man to enhance the wild cards. I won't tolerate Maurice hate.
