pilot : 1.01 — jess’s sister.

You hear Sam’s voice call out for her, not knowing you’re in there too, you had made it a surprise for both of them but your sister was ecstatic when she saw you. You were in the shower for less than ten minutes before you heard Sam’s screams of your sister’s name.

You were there when she died. Right there in the shower. You were the last person to talk to her before she was on the ceiling. 

You run out of the bathroom in a robe and you eyes are so wide; you’re scared and freakin’ petrified. You can’t breathe, partly because of the smoke, mostly because there’s absolutely no way what you’re seeing is true.

How is she up there? You were just with her. Who got in so fast? How didn’t you hear them? 

Sam sees you struggling to move and slaps Dean’s shoulder repeatedly to go get you. Dean doesn’t hesitate except for a second then he’s carrying you out because you’re still wide eyed and not sure what is happening right now.

Dean’s consoling his brother and you’re still staring at the burning building from outside. You’re not sure your thoughts are even coherent in that moment, just lots of fuck, how, what did i do, when and Dean soon tries to console you. Except you’re not hysteric like his brother is, you’re frozen in place. 

He’s scared himself after seeing you so motionless and with technically no expression on your face. 

Sam books a motel for the both of you after deciding he’ll leave with brother but he just couldn’t leave you there. He’s hoping you’ll actually speak the next day.

When you both wake up, you’re more than speaking, you’re screaming and sobbing. Sam hugs you and hopes it’s enough for now. Hopes his voice is enough for now because he’s hardly holding it together as it is.

this is such an interesting little tidbit of information. obviously azazel wasn't possessing john at the time he fed sam his blood and JDM was only acting as a stand-in, but from a meta perspective i think it's interesting that sam is again victimized by his family. the incestuous kiss between mary and azazel (samuel) that sealed sam's fate leads to an incestuous exchange of fluids between sam and azazel (john). azazel exploits the family ties of the winchesters like psychological warfare, always blurring the lines between familial and sexual: compare azazel possessing john in devil's trap and using his body to harm dean, everything he says laced with a sexual undertone. again and again, azazel acts in a way that destroys boundaries in irreparable ways and in the end creates the conditions under which the winchesters develop their incestuous relationships with each other.

so yeah great casting choice there. fucked up from day one 💖

Once he saw that he was unhurt, his adrenaline junkie side kicked in, and he had FUN.

The switch flipped, they "Jerk" "Bitch"d each other, Sam worked the case, busted him from the cops and it was all over from there. (His grin when Dean playfully chided him for the 911 call? I mean C'MON)
