I don’t really ship any of the characters to be honest. I believe that a) atla did not need any romantic subplots and b) it could have handled the existing romantic subplots better. Still, everyone is free to ship whatever they want of course. I just don’t feel too strongly about any particular ship so my opinion usually doesn’t go further than ‘I don’t see it, but you do you’. I’ll make an exception for Yue x Sokka because that was incredibly cute.

Subject 1-what is self shipping

Self shipping is basically what it sounds like it's when you put yourself in any kind of relationship with fictional character. There's no wrong way to do this so it can be anything from an oc (original Character you make yourself) a self insert (we will go more in detail on this later) or simply any way you see fit! This is commonly used as a way for comfort,those who are fictosexual (someone who only experiences romantic and/or sexual feelings to fictional characters) or just for fun!

1-A: how do I self ship?

You can self ship in any way you want! You can draw you can write you can roleplay whatever you wanna do! There's no wrong way you can self ship!

1-B: what types of relationships can I have with fictional characters?

Any kind! The limit is your imagination but I'll go over the common 3 you'll mostly see Romantic, platonic and familiar

1-C: okay if there is no wrong way to self ship can I *illegal relationship here*

I mean nothing is physically stopping you but what you are describing is proship/ comship which is the idea that people should be allowed to ship anything even those that are seen as wrong/taboo such as minor x adult,animal x human, incest and things of that nature without any form of repercussions. A lot of self ship blogs do not allow these kinds of beliefs on their blog (including this one)

2-A: what are some terms I should know!

There are a few terms you will see around the self ship side of Tumblr that will be helpful to know on your journey they are as follows!

F/O

F/O means fictional other it's the same way you would use girlfriend or boyfriend but sense fictional characters can be of any gender or not even be romantic it is common to use the term fictional other

S/I

S/I means self insert it is when you insert yourself into the fictional world you can have more than one for different fictional worlds and you don't even have to self ship to make a self insert you can just wanna exist in there world same way around too you don't have to make a self insert if you don't wanna the world is your canvas

Okay to share/no Sharing

Now sense self shipping is something many use for comfort some may not wanna see their fictional other in another relationship. Now that doesn't mean you just can't ship with that character anymore usually if you follow someone or become friends/mutuals with someone they will ask for a tag or ask you to block them it's all a Matter of communication!

    To ship or not to ship?

All ships are welcome!  

However, explicit content must be tagged properly and take place between characters portrayed as consenting adults. (Aging up is allowed).

We will not reblog minor/adult romance.

We will not reblog incestuous romantic ships (sibling/sibling, parent/child, etc). 

Intraclan (i.e,. ItaShisui and ItaIzumi, the second of which is canon) is fine, as they are not directly related in canon.

     What is your policy on cyberbullying?

Anyone who comments on a fill/in the tags with rude, unsolicited ship or character hate will automatically be blocked from participating.

     Can I repost art or fic that I didn't make?

Absolutely not.

All reposters will be automatically blocked from participating.

     I have already posted a complete fantasy-themed art/fic. Can I reuse it for this event?

Unfortunately, at this time we are NOT allowing people to recycle work posted before July. This is because it is unfair to other content creators who have waited until the event to put their work online.

If, however, you wait until July to post new, unseen content from a previously existing series or story, this is perfectly fine! 

     Can I submit previews of my work before July?

Yes, please do! Feel free to tag us at @naruto-fantasy-week​​ and we will reblog it here, provided that it adheres to all the rules, plus:

Fic Previews: Must be excerpt that is five hundred words or less.

Art or Edit Previews: Must be either a sketch, or cropped picture less than 50% of the final piece.

     What sort of alternate or fantasy universes are accepted?

All of them! From urban fantasies to Hogwarts’ Great Hall to the Fields of Mordor, to a more magical version of the Naruto canon, we want to see what you make!

So choose your favorite enchanted saga and sprinkle some shinobis in there! The only real requirement is to keep it fantasy-related.

    We don't have any AU-themed prompts this year, but I want to do a Harry Potter AU. What should I do?

Easy! You can fill any prompts with any AU of your choice, i.e., a cursed magic prompt for a Harry Potter AU (like his scar, or a horcrux), or a LOTR AU with "Old Gods" or "Mythical". So long as fantasy features in some way, your only limit is your imagination!

    I read the prompts list and I'm a bit confused about X prompt(s). Should I just take them as I understand them?

Yes! If a particular prompt inspires you, interpret it as you wish!

So long as your content has magic, and follows all event rules, it will count as participating in Naruto Fantasy Week.

     Do we have to use both prompts for one day, or can we only use one?

We made it two prompts per day to give you all the options! If only one inspires you, then do only that one!

     One of your prompts includes multiple things, (like Knights, Dragons & Druids). Do I have to include all three?

Nope! As always, as long as it includes fantasy themes plus at least one part of the prompt (eg, dragons), feel free to do what inspires!

    Do we have to do all fourteen prompts?

Wow, that would be a lot - that we’d love to see! But the answer is -

No, only if they inspire you!

    Is this event limited strictly to Naruto canon characters?

So long as a fantasy prompt and canon Naruto characters feature in some way, you can include original characters (OCs) as well. The same goes for crossover and Boruto characters.

    Is N.S.F.W. Allowed?

Yes! However, as this event is open to everyone, and not everyone can or wants to see mature things on their dash, all explicit content MUST:

- be properly tagged with warnings/triggers.

- be between clearly consenting adults.

- be put under a cut (writing).

- be cropped sensibly (art).

     How can we post explicit art with Tumblr’s New Guidelines?

• Encouraging the other members to turn against the other member in any way (cussing at them, ignoring, blocking etc) is not allowed, no matter what the reason is. It is considered as bullying and you will be punished as well.

• Any kind of nationalism or racism is not allowed. So discard from using any specific phrases, words, or offensive words that can hurt the other users, even if it was meant to come out as a joke.

• Pulling triggers or touching the sensetive catagories is not allowed.

• Teasing the member by doing something they dont like on purpose is against the rules as well, even if it was meant to be somehow funny.

• Making jokes over the tragic events or sensetive topics is unacceptable, be respectful towards your fellow users.

• Bashing the member for their opinion on anything is not allowed. It includes sexuality, ships and other topics as well. Let people have their own opinion on things and dont rub your own.

• Guilt tripping is also prohibited. This is meant to upset and affect the user in a wrong way, and if you keep on doing that on purpose, you may end up getting a punishment for your actions.

• If the characters are 18+ and are visibly showed as being adults, it’s alright to ship them as it’s no longer considered pedophilia.

• No art, chats, etc. that suggest pedophilia as a “good thing” is allowed. Pedophilia is not a good thing and is against the law.

Stories that may contain pedophilia as a plot point is alright to post under the following conditions:

• No 18+ content within any parts of the story (sex, rape, etc.)

•The pedophile is seen as the villain and put in a bad light.

• That the pedophile is caught and punished for his actions.

• Roleplay and chats suggesting or showing pedophilia is prohibited. Comments and posts with pedophilia content also fall under this category.

ART THEFT

•Stealing someone’s art is highly disrespectful at least and totally illegal at most. Please, be respectful to the rightful owners of the art piece and dont steal or claim their work for whatever reason.

• If you use art for your profile picture, background, or gallery images(s) it is OPTIONAL to credit! If you decide to credit the artist, please either link the original place where it was uploaded or state the artist’s name!

• If you use an artist’s art from this Amino and they want you to credit them, please credit them! This also goes along with outside artist’s (not on this Amino) permission. If they DO NOT want their art being used, please don’t use it!

• A post claiming ownership of art that isn’t yours will be disabled. Claiming in the chats and pms is not allowed as well and should be reported to the staff.
