The 1990s. It was the best of times, it was the best of times...

Ahh... the 90s. What a time to be alive. People often throw around the phrase "Halycon Days", but believe you me, the 90s was the real Halyconian deal. It was a time of peace, prosperity. Simpler times, you may say, awash with simple pleasures, the promise of "The World Wide Web", and a little start-up called Starbucks. People thought Furbies were spying on them, AOL Instant Messenger revolutionized the way we communicate, and Alanis Morissette wrote a hit song, "Ironic", which misunderstood irony. It was the golden era of the shopping mall, in which parents purchased exciting new electrical goods in the latest fruitless attempt to heal their gaping spiritual void, as teens on skateboards, with tufts of hair sprouting through their backward-facing caps, loitered around outside blowing gum and wearing black t-shirts with skulls on them.

For reasons unbeknownst to us, #the 1990s is trending, and we are here *clap* for *clap* it *clap*. *ouch*

i have energy today and, as a permanently exhausted person, this is incredibly confusing

There was a middle school age girl who started crying in the middle of the catacombs and having a wholeass existential crisis, and of course her mom was shushing her and telling her the bones weren't scary, but honestly she was the one in there who was using the space for its intended purpose, unlike the middle aged ladies going over their appointment calendars or even me taking little photos

Imagine childhood friends with cynthia having a crush on her but she was always better than you at pokemon battles

Fast forward years later now you're staring her down, shes the sinnoh champion and youre the champion of a different region, both in the finals of the masters 8 and you finally feeling like you're on her level

Idk which scenario I like more between winning or losing but either way then when talking to cynthia after the battle somehow you confess when finally feeling like you're on her level wow how gay of you (i love her)

right it's only recently hit me that the biggest set of exams that i'll ever take (eleven subjects with at least two papers each, fuck my life D:) are in four months and i am nowhere near ready, so i'm probably going to be a lot slower with updating my writing

so if you're reading only a day away (first of all, i appreciate you so much!!) i'm going to write some more tonight and maybe tomorrow, but after that my Revision PlanTM kicks in and i'm probably going to vanish for the forseeable future

i'll do my best to be somewhat consistent, but i can't guarantee anything - i just want to be clear here so people aren't left without an explanation

So I used to regularly comment fuckin dissertations on one of my favorite “between installation what if” fics right? but then I missed like two chapters and the ADHD inertia came to a screeching halt. Just disappeared into the void.

I’ve been reading updates since I stopped but felt too shy to comment cuz I’ve potions to mix and spells to inscribe so I can finally end my apprenticeship and become a wizard. And like. the adderall makes me function JUST well enough that I can’t be nearly as thorough in my comments before.

But today I finally commented again. Haven’t heard (or expect) a response back but it’s nice. I missed this.

Last year I was such an active fan community member on different apps and platforms and I can’t wait till I can return with full gusto again…but a gust here and there is probably good for me too.

I just discovered / remembered that FNaF 2 only came out three months after the first one and JEEZ that's the weirdest case of the passage of time being short! It feels like there should be a lot of time there!
