I'm truly sorry but WHY is the 4th toy story movie your favorite one?? I'm just curious
It's just a beautiful movie to me, and in a way, the most mature. It's actually kind of an old person movie, and ridiculously complex. It's got so much going on.
People say it crapped on the whole found family message, but in truth, Woody's loyalty has always been to Andy first and the toy family second, and it's not impossible to sway him from either. So much of his identity has always been wrapped up in his love for Andy and his loyalty to Andy and his position as a leader in the room, and I loved that Toy Story 4 showed how hard that was on him, all those intersections where grief was snarled up with something else. Sticking to the familiar under the belief that it was a toy's purpose, even as it made him absolutely miserable and in spite of the fact that Bonnie didn't need him and the room didn't need him...and in the end, showing that sometimes in life, it's okay to do what's best for you and try something new? Adored it.
There's always been a very sad, inherent cruelty to the way the toys live. They give their all for someone who by design can't love them back in the same way. It's noble and beautiful, but it's also shown to destroy them. I loved the fact that Toy Story 4 presented an alternative to the cycle of kid to kid, a place the toys can go to live independently and retire in comfort. The Toy Story universe needed it.
I really love that it popped a bubble in the fantasy of Bonnie loving Woody the same way Andy did. She was never going to and hopefully, Andy understood that. Do not give your most cherished childhood possessions away in the belief that it's the "grown up" thing to do...the toys are lucky Bonnie didn't throw them out the car window on the way home from McDonalds a week after the third movie. It wouldn't have been her fault if she did.
I loved that Woody didn't leave the toys for Bo in the same way, say, Toothless left Hiccup for the Light Fury, and I loved that it was Bo. She wasn't some Barbie doll he met eight seconds ago, she's his long lost love, his partner, and his feelings for her predate the Clinton scandal. This beautiful world she inhabits, this way of life that's been so good for her, a life they can share together without fear...that's why he left. It's a good reason.
The way it did it all without crapping on the magic of a toy's bond with their child? The scene of Gabby going off to her new home? Tears, every time.
Lastly? The final visual of Woody and Bo playfully running across the top of the carousel as the music soars, young and happy and in love and free? Bawl baby tears.
I love Toy Story 4 so much.

Summary
Having survived 3 weeks on the surface, Bonnie Labelle finds herself in GoodNeighbor looking for answers to her awakening in a Vault. She has no memory of what happened just before she entered the Vault or even the start of the war. And she herself is shocked by her skills when surviving. The mayor of GoodNeighbor is just as shocked and intrigued by how she’s survived this long.
As Bonnie worked to regain her strength, John Hancock organized a room for her to stay in with the Hotel Redford. Explaining her situation to a woman named Clair Hutchins.
Bonnie could hardly believe how kind and cordial people were here. Well except for the man the mayor stabbed. But she figured that’s why he was stabbed to begin with.
Everyone treated the ghoul so normally. And their interaction in the state house was convincing her, he wasn’t something for her to fear.
And he definitely had a lot of power around here.
“ I’ve got some things to attend to.” He said as she looked around the tattered hotel room. A simple mattress. A broken dresser. And a broken nightstand. For the wasteland, this really wasn’t all that bad. Compared to sleeping on the concrete floor of a closet in an old shop. The old tattered mattress was like a beckoning cloud for her to rest on.
“ So take your time adjusting. And perhaps we can have a chat in the third rail later.” He said with a grin. “ I’ll treat you to a drink.”
She turned and observed him as he nodded his head and turned to walk out.
“ Why are you like this?” She suddenly asked. The words escaping her mouth before she could filter them. She shook her head trying to find what she meant to say.
“ What? A ghoul?” He asked with a chuckle.
“ No..” she said quickly. “ Well I mean… I suppose I’m curious about that too but..” she took a breath. “ I mean you’re actually being… a person. Everyone I’ve met so far has either tried to kill me or wanted something in return for just speaking to them..” she explained slowly.
“ You could have easily killed me when I passed out earlier… and you didn’t…. You took care of me.” She explained.
“ Goodneighbor is for the people by the people.” Hancock explained crossing his arms as he leaned against the door frame. “ Which means we take care of each other here.” He said matter of factly.
“ You clearly need help… with what? I don’t know just yet but we got all the time in the world.” He shrugged. “ Not everyone in the commonwealth is going to hurt or kill you. Just… maybe the majority.” He joked with a chuckle.
“ Plus… a vault dweller like yourself is even more vulnerable. There’s some things you gotta learn if you’re gonna stay up here. And based on what you’ve told me, you don’t have much of a choice but to learn.” He explained.
“ So I’ll offer help. It’s just up to you if you want it.” He smiled.
She listened to his words closely before slowly nodding. Her shoulders relaxed a bit, as she smiled back at him.
“ Thank you, Mayor.” She said after a moment. “ I really am grateful. Though I may appear stand-offish. I truly appreciate the help.”
Hancock’s eyebrow raised. Her kindness and well spoken words were odd to hear. She seemed so proper. And pristine. So clean and perfect. It intimidated him a bit.
He simply tilted his hat up a bit and smirked. “ No need for that mayor crap. Just call me, Hancock.” He chuckled.
“ I’ll leave you to rest.” He said as he pushed himself off the door frame and left her alone.
She took a breath and laid down thinking over this strange new reality of hers. Ghouls. Vault Dwellers. It felt like a nightmare.
Being in Goodneighbor did provide some comfort. It felt similar to the world she once knew.
Hancock had the kindness of a politician.
She furrowed her brow.
Politicians were part the reason this happened to begin with though. She couldn’t come to terms with trusting him just yet. Or the people here.
As her mind raced she dosed off again. Her body recovering with much needed rest.
When she awoke, the clock on the wall said it was 8PM. And the town sounded more lively outside through the broken window.
She rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she stood up and leaned out the window. Down below the hotel, residents talked casually. Armed gunman talked with them. She overheard conversations about their daily lives. The errands they needed to run. Some gossip about other residents and settlements.
She couldn’t help but smile as she listened to their conversations.
After letting herself wake up more she pulled away from the window and looked to her armor on the dresser. Hancock mentioned meeting to talk more in the third rail. Would her armor be needed?
She shook her head.
If I want to fit in here I need to relax. Just a bit.
She left her armor and her rifle. But slipped a knife into the pocket of her tattered dress.
Before leaving the hotel she asked Clair where the Third rail was. And followed her directions to the supposed bar.
She was curious what a bar in this world would be like. As she entered the bouncer looked at her curiously. As she met his gaze she fought the urge to look away from fear. Another ghoul.
She simply offered a small smile. He smiled back and welcomed her inside, down a long dark hallway. As she neared closer to the end, she could hear faint music, and a lovely voice accompanying it. Along with some drowned out chatter.
As the hallway opened up to the bar, her nerves relaxed a bit more. Patrons sat around lounging with their drinks. She could smell cigarette smoke and alcohol, but the voice of the woman caught her attention even more.
A beautiful woman sang in the corner on a makeshift stage. She wore a gorgeous red dress. Her hair was jet black, cut short. She was absolutely stunning.
Her voice only matched her appearance perfectly. She was completely mezmerozied by her as she sang. Her worries drained away, as she smiled watching the woman sing.
“ She’s got quite a set of pipes huh?” A familiar voice broke her hypnosis to her right. She turned to meet Hancock’s eyes.
She nodded eagerly as she looked back at her. “ She’s absolutely gorgeous.”
“ I’d say magnolia is the diamond of the wasteland.” He said with a chuckle as he took a drink from his glass.
“ What’s your vice?” He asked, nudging her arm. “ I said I’d treat ya to a drink.”
She eyed what he was drinking curiously. Looked clear. Perhaps Vodka. Hopefully, Vodka.
“ What’s yours?” She asked.
“ Much harder stuff than this.” he laughed. “ But this is just some vodka.”
She relaxed. “ I'm really relieved to know vodka is still available.” She said with a laugh.
He chuckled as he ushered her over to the bar, where he ordered her her own drink. She noticed he handed the bartender some bottle caps. Her eyebrows furrowed.
“ Bottle caps?” she asked curiously as he handed her the glass.
“ Yeah. Guess you haven't figured that out yet. Caps are the currency here. Well just about everywhere in the commonwealth.” He shrugged as he guided her to a separate room just outside the bar. Magnolia’s angelic voice, still in ear distance, but quieter for them to speak to one another.
“ Oh…” she said softly, recalling all the Nuka-Cola caps she had tossed when she was lucky enough to find them for substance the past few weeks. “ Whoops” She whispered.
Hancock chuckled and sat down on a lounge chair. She sat across from him on a loveseat. The room was lit with red lighting, posters from the old world hung around as decor.
She lifted the glass to her lips and sipped the bitter liquid. Her body reacted with pleasure. Her nerves felt more at ease almost instantly. Hancock noticed immediately.
“ Oh yeah. You definitely needed that.” he chuckled. “ You ever need something stronger we can work something out. But that’ll do for now. Did you get some good rest?”
She nodded as she took another sip. “ Yeah actually. I haven't slept on a mattress in… “ She furrowed her brow.
Hancock raised an eyebrow. “ In…? You don’t remember?” he asked.
She shook her head.
“ well… That’s surprising. Always heard rumors you vault dwellers had a luxurious style down there. At least that’s what I’ve heard about Vault 81. They actually trade with us surface folk.” He said in confusion, taking another sip of his drink.
“ or yanno, dead bodies left over from whatever horrible shit the old folk decided to do to one another.” He sighed.
She looked at him confused. “ Why would they be different?” She asked.
He shrugged. “ No idea. All I know is I'm glad to have been born up here. Where I had the freedom to take control of my own fate… at least to some degree.” He chuckled.
“ So what was your vault’s deal? They just kick you out..? Or..?”
She shook her head and sighed. “ No… I…” She sighed. “ I woke up from this.. Pod. Like I was frozen. I was freezing for hours after I got out. I passed out in this.. Lab” she said trying to recall her first moments out of the pod.
“ Frozen?” Hancock said, leaning on his knees holding his glass between them. “ Aint that something.”
She nodded. “ When I came to, I got to explore a bit.. But I didn't find much.. Or rather I couldn't find much. I found a rifle and a way out. Everything looked like.. My home. But ruined. I found my old house, with some tattered things I remembered I owned. Luckily this dress was in an old suitcase I forgot about.” She said as she gestured to her attire.
He chuckled. “ It suits you.” he complimented. “ very well.. But you do stand out in it up here.”
She smiled at his compliment and nodded. “ yeah I’ve realized.” She laughed softly. “ I didn't know what to do so I just… kept walking.” She shrugged. “ I met these traveling settlers. Who explained some stuff to me.. Like the date, the war, and a bit of what to look out for…”
“ Why didn't you join them?” Hancock asked curiously.
“ because another group swooped in and killed all of them.” she said bluntly. After a moment she explained.
“ I tried to help. I killed some of them.. I had never killed anyone before and I just..” She took a breath. “ I took what I could from the aftermath after they finally left their bodies.” She said in shame.
“ And I just kept walking.”
Hancock stared at her with a solemn expression. It was silent between the both of them as they stared at one another.
“ I’m sorry.” he finally broke the silence. “ I know that couldn't have been easy to walk away from.”
She remained silent.
“ That’s just what it’s like up here.” he shrugged and observed her face. Her green eyes were hollow. Full of exhaustion and sadness. He frowned as he tried to think of how to shift her mind off of what happened.
“ So when did you go under the ice?” He asked.
She sighed. “ I don’t know the exact date. I can’t remember… but the last date I saw before I woke up was October 2nd, 2077–”
Hancock nearly spit out his drink. “ What”
She looked at him and sighed with a nod. “ Yeah… I was 27.. So I guess now I’m..”
“ 237 years old..” he said with a look of shock and bewilderment. He sat back in the chair. “ Holy shit.”
She nodded as she took another, much large sip of her drink.
“ And you don’t remember anything after that date? At all?” he asked.
She shook her head. “ The biggest mystery to me right now is why I was in the vault before the bombs dropped. Those settlers said they dropped on October 23rd, 2077.”
He nodded. “ So you were in there for a few weeks before you even needed to be…” He theorized.
She opened her mouth to speak when she was interrupted by a woman’s voice.
“ Well hello there Mayor. I see you’ve shown your guest the VIP room”
Bonnie turned to see the stunning woman who was singing just moments before. She looked more beautiful up close.
“ yes ma’am.” He said proudly.
“ And I trust you’re being the perfect gentleman.” She joked as she sat on the arm chair of Bonnie’s seat.
“ Only if she wants me to be, honestly.” He said with a wink and a smirk before drinking from his class.
“ Im only teasing.” he chuckled.
“ Hey there, doll. I’m Magnolia. I sing here. Who might you be?” She asked with a kind smile.
Bonnie straighted up and held her hand out. “ Bonnie Labelle… You have a beautiful voice.”
“ Why thank you!” She said with an even bigger smile. “ I love your dress… but it does look to be a bit tattered.”
Bonnie sighed. “ Yeah.. haven't had much of a fashion choice around here.” She laughed. “ Seems you got everything here but a fashion boutique.” She joked.
Magnolia laughed. “ I like her can we keep her?” She said looking to Hancock. “And she’s right. We need a seamstress or something, Mayor. Imagine the crowds I could draw in with even more stunning outfits”
Hancock chuckled. “ Those are hard to come by these days but…” he shrugged. “ For you, Magnolia, I’m sure we could figure something out.”
Magnolia chuckled and looked back to Bonnie.
“ I’m sure those clothes aren't as comfortable as they once were. Mind if I steal her for a moment, Hancock?”
Hancock smiled. “ Up to her. I don’t own her.” He joked.
Bonnie laughed softly and looked at Magnolia.
“ Come along then. Let’s get you some new clothes. I need more friends with fashion expertise.” She said pulling Bonnie up and dragging her out of the room.
This woman was so graceful. And hard to say no to. Bonnie envied her immediately, and loved the idea of being her friend.
Friends must be a hard thing to make now. So far, the company she was in would be perfect though.
Magnolia led her to an upstairs room. “ This here is my home. Just above the bar.” She explained as she led Bonnie to a closet in the corner, beside her bed.
“ I don’t got much. But I definitely have things I do not and will not wear so let’s have a look..” She murmured as she opened the closet full of clothes. She pulled some pieces out and laid them across the bed for Bonnie to observe.
An old dress. Some pants. A black coat. A Leather yellow jacket. A few simple tops.
“ There we go.. Take your pick” Magnolia said proudly.
“ These are in such good condition…” Bonnie commented.
“ Why thank you, Doll.” She said proudly. “ Need to look nice for my sets of course. I do what I can to keep my clothing in pristine condition.”
Bonnie smiled. “ Are you sure it’s okay for me to take some clothes?”
Magnolia nodded eagerly. “ Please do.. Just means I get to have one of the boys to find me more.” She winked.
Bonnie chuckled and grabbed the yellow leather jacket. It looked like something she could wear and blend in better.
Along with a pair of black jeans, and a top. It was simple. But not eye catching. Just what she needed.
She smiled to herself. “ These will do just fine.”
Magnolia smiled and turned around giving her privacy to change.
“ You know, the mayor does not always just kill someone for a guest… even if Finn was somewhat of a nuisance.” She chuckled.
Bonnie took her dress off, slipping on the clean black jeans and top with ease. “ He seems like the type to take no shit to be honest…”
“ You’ve got that right.” Magnolia chuckled. “ But… he’s taken interest. So you must be one hell of a mystery for him to focus on.”
“ A mystery for sure. But I’m sure the mayor is busy with his own things. I'll be out of here once I figure out what it is I'm meant to do up here.” She sighed.
“ He’s a great guy. Is all I’m saying. I can tell you’re uneasy around him. But don’t let his looks fool you. He’s got a big heart.” She laughed softly. “ you can trust him.”
“ How did you know I was nervous with him?” Bonnie asked as she slipped the yellow jacket on.
“ Women’s intuition I guess… You seemed on the fence when it comes to trust. And I get it. From what I’ve heard, you aint from the surface. So I can only imagine what you’ve had to see and do to get here.”
Bonnie stayed silent as she looked at herself in the mirror. She looked more like a surface dweller. It helped ease her nerves a bit more.
“ Look at you.” Magnolia whistled. “ Looking good!”
Bonnie smiled and turned to her and smiled. After a moment she sighed. “ If people like you and the mayor still exist up here… I think I’ll be okay.” She said coming to terms with her trust in the mayor and Goodneighbor.

Ok while I want to go to that universe and beat the crap out of Rak for that comment about 90s/2000s music(and flirting with Oat in the bar) I feel like Bonnie is doing wonders with her micro expressions of yearning and affection every time Pam is close to Dokrak.
Great acting.

tti episode 22
“Last time, on Total Takes Island: we took you around the Playa de Losers, a luxury resort in which the losers from the past season have been chumming it up against a backdrop of gourmet food, waterslides and massage tables. We learned that Austin and Kelly are still together and happy, Kitty and Patrick are still radioactive, and Mal is still… um, Mal. In a shocking twist of events, the losers accidentally voted off Bonnie, sending them to the docks and leaving Michael behind on an island of people she hates. Who will be walking the dock next? Find out now, on Total! Takes! Island!”
Chris’ weather machine sputters to life, sending out a few dark clouds over the island in the early morning. The rain follows, an extremely heavy downpour that wakes almost everyone with flashes and lightning and cracks of thunder.
“Oh, great,” Julia sighs. “I didn’t pack a coat.”
“Not even one?” Michael asks, pulling up the hood on her parka and fastening her boots a little tighter.
“It’s summer. It’s not supposed to rain until, like, October or something!” Julia snips, hopping off of her bunk and walking to her suitcase to dig through it.
“Where are you from?”
Ass hums pleasantly as they walk back inside the cabin, decked out in a yellow raincoat and dripping all over the hardwood floors. They flip off their hood and smile. “Lovely weather, huh? Rain is so stimulating,” they take off their coat and set it by the door, their matching boots following. “Of course, I packed extra carefully. Brought at least three coats.”
Julia starts. “Can I-”
“When you earn it,” Ass says, shaking their finger at her.
Chris’ voice blares over the intercom as Julia glares. “Lovely morning today, huh, campers? Welcome to the dreaded rain day- any and all fun activities are canceled, except for the craft tent, where I’ll see you bright and early tomorrow!”
Julia sighs and steps out onto the porch, watching the rain pour. “Yeah, I am so not going out in that. Michael, can you-?”
“Get it yourself,” Michael says, walking to the mess hall with her hands in her pockets.
“Whatever! I’ll just starve, then!” she stands, clenching her fists.
“Have fun!”
“Wow, dramatic much?” Ass asks, walking by while rolling their eyes.
Julia sighs and grumpily sits down, cradling her face in her palms.
---
JULIA: “Okay, I get it, alright! Thank you, universe, for teaching me my lesson! I should’ve never dropped Michael for Scruffy and I shouldn’t have dumped Scruffy for Ass! I get it now!”
---
Julia stands, walking back inside the cabin and slamming the door behind her.
---
The rain continues to pour, beating down on the camp. Michael and Ass eventually return from the mess hall and decide there’s nothing else to do but sleep the rest of the day off, since no one in the girl’s and such cabin is exactly thrilled to braid each other’s hair and tell secrets.
Morning comes, the sky now a beautiful shade of blue and the sun beaming down. Julia is up first, yawning and stretching. She notices the sunlight sifting into the room first and smiles sleepily. “Thank God!”
She hops off the top bunk and her feet go cold. Julia looks down and sees water up to her ankles. “Oh, awesome! Flash flood, anyone?”
Michael yawns, stretching. “What’re you talking ab- oh, geez,”
The three remaining campers look down at the soaked floor and grumble, shifting around the cabin to pick up their now-soaked belongings left on the floor the previous night. As Ass picks up a sock by the window, they stop. “Um...”
“Hm?” Michael asks, looking out the window with them. “Oh, crap.”
The three throw open the door and walk out onto the unfamiliar sandy beaches of an unknown island, where the flood had lifted the cabin and drifted it to the night prior.
“Okay, this blows,” Ass comments, crossing their arms. “This must be another one of Chris’ dumb challenges.”
“Don’t you think he would’ve at least explained it first?” Michael says. “You know how much he enjoys watching the terror on our faces.”
“We just drifted downstream,” Julia walks a bit down the beach. “Someone has to come get us eventually.”
Ass and Michael follow her, walking down the sands until they reach the end of the beach, a large cliff soaring upwards. They all have a collective feeling of being walled in.
Ass turns around, back to the cabins. “Hey, where’s McLovin?”
---
The boy’s and such cabin and its only remaining member float down the lake, completely isolated from the distant, foggy islands surrounding it. McLovin yawns, waking up the latest out of everyone (again) and stepping outside the cabin without looking, plopping straight into the water.
“What the hell, man?” he asks, rubbing his eyes as the cold water instantly wakes him. He looks around the abandoned lake for a moment. “Hey… where is everyone?”
---
Julia sharpens a stick with a rock, wiping the sweat off her brow. Michael scales a tree in the forest to look out over the island.
“Okay, here are the rules,” Ass says, pacing the beach. “No one is to leave without telling us. No hogging resources. No trying to escape on your own. Michael, you’re on adhesives. Julia, get started on logging.”
“Um,” Michael drops from the tree. “What are you talking about?”
“We’re building a raft, duh. I’ve read a million survival books, I know what to do in this situation,”
---
MICHAEL: “Okay, not to rain on their parade, but reading isn’t exactly the same as doing. I can’t count how many times Joner got us lost in the woods, at amusement parks, on beaches, rivers, museums… he just gets excited and runs off,”
---
“If you’re sooo smart, shouldn’t you know we’re supposed to look for water first?” Julia asks, swiping her stick with the sharpened stone again.
“We’re surrounded by water, genius,” Ass jabs their thumb in the direction of the lake.
Michael sighs. “I’m going to start a fire and try to find something to boil the lake water in,”
“It’s fresh, Einstein,”
“It’s lake water. Did your survival books encourage you to die of bacterial infections, too?” she says as she walks into the cabins in search of a vessel.
---
McLovin sits in the cabins, rocking back and forth. His stomach grumbles and he whimpers.
“They left me here to die! They left me here to die!” he mutters, pulling out a crayon portrait of Sha-Mod. “You’d never leave me, Sha-Mod, would you?”
He giggles nervously and his pupils dilate.
---
“These plants are potted,” Julia says, kicking a clay pot holding a triassic-looking plant. “Chris is so corny.”
---
CHRIS: “Nuh-uh!”
---
“Yeah, I’m not exactly buying this whole “freak accident carried us downstream” thing,” Ass says, huffing as they drag another log to the beach. “This is clearly a challenge!”
“No duh,” Julia rolls her eyes. “Hey, what’s that?”
Ass looks to a distant human-made structure peaking out of the treeline where Julia points and their eyes widen. “A treehouse?”
The two drop what they’re doing and sprint over to the structure, fighting over who climbs the ladder first with slight slaps and scratches. Michael follows shortly, watching the two fight with her hands on her hips. Eventually, they roll into the bushes and pause their slapping to scream.
Michael runs through to see what the fuss is about, and comes face to face with a giant, shiny white T-Rex skeleton. Julia and Ass hug each other and shake in terror, scooting away from the colossal skull.
“Seriously? This is so not real,” Michael says. “If it were an actual skeleton, it’d be buried under layers of dirt and stone, and no natural bones are white and flawless. They’d be yellowed, with some signs of wear- bite marks, scratches, missing parts- this thing is plastic. And corny.” she kicks it.
---
CHRIS: “Nuh-uh!”
---
MICHAEL: “Okay, so I'm aware it's totally useless information, but I… know a lot about dinosaurs. Not because of Joner or anything, just… cause, you know?”
---
Julia and Ass stand, slightly embarrassed as Michael knocks on the thin plastic skeleton. A strong breeze carries it away seconds later.
While everyone is distracted watching the hollow bones float off in the wind, Ass turns and runs to the treehouse ladder first, climbing it while laughing at the two below. They open the door and a prop skeleton swings out, knocking them off the platform.
Julia and Michael laugh as they stand from the ground, dusting themselves off. They glare. “Whatever!” and they climb the ladder again, pushing past the prop. The two other campers follow, still chuckling.
The inside of the cabin is dark and dirty, a few stray bunk beds and chests lining the walls. A massive spider crawls away as the light from the door hits it.
“Ew,” Julia says, stepping away. “I’m not staying in here.”
A distant howling from outside makes everyone turn to the lake, and then promptly run inside.
---
McLovin sits on the porch steps as his cabin remains floating in the lake, crying and howling while rocking back and forth. The crayon drawing of Sha-Mod is taped to the front of a book now, propped up beside him.
“I’m going to die out here, Sha-Mod. I’m going to die without ever having the chance to prove myself,” he mutters to the paper. “Without having seen my friends one last time… without completing my Fast and Furious VHS tape collection… I’m going to die with Michael still hating my guts!”
The Sha-Mod drawing says nothing as McLovin sniffles.
“What was that?” He asks, turning to the paper. “You think I need to keep going?”
The Sha-Mod drawing says nothing.
“You think I need to survive to make amends and prove my worth?”
The Sha-Mod drawing says nothing.
McLovin stands. “You’re right! I’ve been living in fear for far too long!”
He runs inside the cabin, breaking something with a loud snap and a screech and then running back out with one of the bunk bed legs, using it to weakly paddle the cabin.
---
“I cannot believe this is how I’m going to die,” Julia sighs, sitting on one of the dusty bunks inside. “Surrounded by losers.”
Ass scoffs. “I could say the same!”
“Whatever,” she murmurs, rolling her eyes. “I’m not a loser.”
“I’m not either,”
They both turn to Michael, who’s sitting on the floor, studying one of the remaining fake dinosaur bones. She looks up.
A loud crashing noise from outside grabs everyone’s attention and they run to the platform. The boy’s and such cabin is washed up on shore, and McLovin is lying face-down in the sand, clutching the now-crinkled drawing of Sha-Mod.
“Oh, come on!” Julia shouts. “How is he still alive?”
“I told you, he has a lot of determination hidden in that thin body,” Ass says. “You owe me three chocolate bars.”
“If I don’t kill him first,” she murmurs, climbing down the ladder with the others to go retrieve him from the sand.
---
The four campers sit inside the treehouse together in silence. McLovin is cradling the picture of Sha-Mod, which everyone is refusing to acknowledge outside of giving each other confused glances.
Michael coughs. Julia scratches a bug bite on her ankle. Ass picks at their fingernails.
“So…” Michael says, everyone glaring at her for breaking the silence. “How do you think the other campers would cope with this? If they were here, I mean?”
“Bonnie would be a machine, they’d find a way out in ten minutes, tops,” McLovin says. “Don’t you agree, Sha-Mod?”
Ass rolls their eyes. “Courtney would probably start getting us to ‘work together’ as ‘a team’ to 'survive',”
“Scruffy would probably tell us about an episode where this happened, so we’d know exactly what to do!” Julia chimes in.
“Max would’ve gotten us organized right away. No fighting about what to do,” Michael says, smiling. “He’d have a plan the second we washed up here.”
Ass leans forward, now smiling slightly as they rest their chin on their fist. “Staci would be telling us about how her great-uncle Femur built the first raft,”
“And then she’d build an even better one,”
“Patrick would be all like, “oh no, the bees! I’m allergic!” and then run into a bear trap,”
They all laugh at that, shaking their heads. The mood is slightly less tense now and the treehouse seems a little brighter.
“Frollo would probably get us to confess our sins,” Michael says, pulling her knees to her chest. “It’d probably make us feel better, if anything.”
“Yeah, no way would that hoot get anything out of me,” Ass says, smirking. “He’d probably try to save me from damnation or something.”
“Yeah, but it’d be nice to have a clear conscience before we die on this island, you know?”
The four look at each other.
---
Jesus, that actually happened?” Julia asks, sitting up in the bunk she was lying on.
Ass shakes their head and sighs. “Yeah, I know. I guess I kinda used to be a bit of a pushover. I just figured that’s the way things are, no use in fighting for myself,”
“I guess Mal really messed you up, considering what happened before you came here,” Michael says.
“Yeah. That was really the cherry on top of everything. But at least it wasn’t half as sad as Julia’s parents,”
“My home life isn’t depressing, just disappointing,” Julia snaps. “And at least it’s not as bad as Michael’s!”
Michael grimaces. “Yeah, well, at least I didn’t have a Mal!”
The three girls grumble and then fall silent. Ass turns to McLovin. “Okay, MC, your turn to confess. Let’s hear ‘em,”
McLovin opens his mouth, but just before he can speak Julia stands. “Do you guys smell that?”
The four run out to the platform outside and see smoke rising over the hills in the distance.
“People!” Michael gasps. “We’re not alone!”
The four climb down the ladder and run in the direction of the rising smoke, not bothering to wait to form a plan. They all shout, stumbling and falling into a clearing where Chris is waiting, snacking on a kebab and sitting in a director’s chair.
“And cut!” he laughs, swallowing a bite. “Great job, everyone, you all survived!”
“What. Is. This,” Ass asks, pointing at the site. A luxury trailer sits beside a gourmet buffet and a few tents. Chef is grilling something delicious-smelling nearby, hence the smoke.
“This is our crew site. We were just waiting for you to get back,” he chuckles, finishing his snack and tossing the skewer away. “Feel free to help yourself to the buffet, you all must be starving!”
The four glare at Chris. He laughs again. “See you all at the campfire ceremony tonight- oh, and by the way, all of that was on camera,”
They blink, suddenly looking horrified. Chris walks away as the rain downpour starts up again, soling all the buffet food.
---
“Aw, you all look so tired!” Chris says, looking over the exhausted campers. McLovin cradles his Sha-Mod as the rest of the contestants stare blankly. “Michael, Ass, Julia, you’re all safe.”
“Um, you have a marshmallow left on that plate,” Ass says, pointing.
“Very observant, Natalie. McLovin!” he tosses the last treat to McLovin, who looks on in terror.
“No- you don’t mean-”
“That’s right! Sha-Mod is once again walking the dock of shame!”
McLovin cries in anguish as Chef walks over, grabbing the barely intact drawing from him and walking away with it. He falls to the ground and beats the dirt with his fists, sobbing as everyone watches on in a mix of concern and genuine fascination.
Julia chooses to ignore the display. "So... we never talk about what we said in that treehouse again. Deal?"
Michael and Ass nod.
Chris pops up. “Who will be torn from our campers next time? And who will get one step closer to winning the million? Find out tomorrow, on Total! Takes! Island!”

this is GF
hi again earthlings^^ srry for not posting so long becuz I lost motivation😭😭💀💀
for ppl who didn’t know this, it’s an other universe of bf living in a total trauma of losing gf(yes, gf died in some random incidents or accident but we didn’t know how she died) and her new name in the universe of her is named “herself”, herself lives in lord bf‘s mic even tho he didn’t know where she is but he sings and wants her sprit stay with him for longer and gf in this universe wont let him go too, this scene shows herself appeared and she somehow possessed him, the reason why he didn’t even take care of his body or cloths becuz he gone insane and that why he look like crap- so ye I didn’t watch a whole mob but I seen this
watch these two youtubers who play fnf games or explains them
first fnf YouTuber
and other YouTuber who also explains random stuffs and also fnf mobs(he do research of it or some ppl explain to him)
Other thing about the other newest fnf mob oc woody in his eerie phases(I don’t know some of them only the fnaf version of it becuz i Watch it as a kid and I’m was traumatized of it)
(Spoilers for everyone becuz it was deleted in a few years because it’s also scares the children who watch Toy Story as a kid, the creator is Polaris) for the fnaf version of toy story shows that the toys are possessed like the animatronics are possessed while getting killed, in the beginning shows that Andy is giving his toys to Bonnie and just left becuz he said “you will take good care of them or they take care of you” as Bonnie grab Woody and woody give her a eerie face and it scares her, at night she was about to sleep but the toys are giving her the creeps and started to move around, she went to her computer to research about the toys are alive and it’s show that the toys are really alive and killing young children, the first victim was Sid(the kid who beefing up his toys) was called the bite of 95 which is similar to crying child that is called the bite of 87, he got his face ripped of by his and his sister toys becuz the way he treats his sister and his toys, the sec victim is a random kid got their lower half ripped off by an blue squishmallow, two toys kill the third victim by choking them with a jump rope, the forth victim got her head chopped off and stab by Bo Peep and a pink teddy bear, and now Bonnie is a fifth victim and she got killed by Woody
So ye that’s all it becuz I’m still losing motivation-

Oh gods Legacies, how did you managed to go from so good, the quick way to going to end so very badly.
No humanity Hope hunting Triad, Yes!
Her hair, yes!
Lizzie nearly using dark magic hell yes! turn her dark Legacies, turn her dark!
The therapy box beat up was just the best, it was so perfect. She was in New Orleans and so being her father.
And then they confirmed the tree the twins and Hope made is her weakness.
And then the promo showed Lizzie’s wish to kill Hope.
I’m going to say this, for the last time. Bring a fucking adult! Please! Caroline needs to come! Lizzie want to bring back Alaric? Call Bonnie or Freya, or hell Davina! They need help, who should help them? Maybe Hope’s all powerful, unlivable, older brother.
Rebekah came for like five minutes and barely did anything. She could have snapped Hope’s neck instead of staggered her and taken her to New Orleans or some abandoned place to contain her. a thousand year old original vampire just barely did anything. Klaus nearly killed his siblings in order to get what he wanted, Rebekah should be able to kidnap Hope and get her somewhere she can’t escape from. The Gilbert siblings and Matt Donavon have an Original death each under their belts.
Seriously, even with Hope having turned off her humanity, even with Rebekah and Freya showing up, even with Alaric’s death, this show still doesn’t know how to bring in proper cameos. You bring in an original vampire they should be portrayed as an original vampire. This show has given me no humanity Hope and it’s ruined because she’s never going to have an awesome 1 v 1 with Marcel or Rebekah or Kol or even a Heretic Saltzman twin, because this stupid freaking show doesn’t know when to bring back an old actor.
#legacies#legacies season four#4x06#hope mikaelson#lizzie saltzman#josie saltzman#rebekah mikaelson#caroline forbes#give us caroline or bonnie or anyone#make this plot line make sense in the universe#and also#has damon just not done anything as his best friend died#like you stab;ish Selena lives in town you even remind us last season#but for no reason the continuity just vanishes#i don't like Selena but at least their appearance would make sense#it would make more sense than any of this#i love no humanity hope but if they don't fix this mess of unrealistic crap#i will give up

Moonlight re-watch Part 13 of 16
Season 1 episode 13 Fated to Pretend
Just three episodes left and the series is over 🥲
55 years since he’s slept in a bed
Mick talking about how vampires can’t eat food because they can’t digest it and I’m morbidly curious as to what will happen if they did eat food. Like will they get sick and vomit? Or something else?
“Mortality suits you” yes it does Beth
“I don’t want to live with any regrets” 🥲 so many things Mick never got to do while he was human again
“I have a tendency to bite down when I -” and then Josef interrupts with “some women like that” like I kind of know what Mick was going to say but I wish Josef let him finish that sentence. For science purposes…
Such a lovely day ruined by murder
Ben Talbot needs to learn some people skills. Geez like read the room. He was always so off putting from his first appearance. Like a woman was murdered and he’s acting like a dickhead to Beth
“You’re creeping me out man it’s unnatural”
Annoyed “well thanks that’s nice”
I wonder if Mick’s blood type is A-positive, I think it was episode 11 where Mick said the best possible blood type to consume is a child’s blood that matches their own.
Obviously Mick would never hurt a child but maybe matching of blood types applies to adults blood too
Some breaking and entering
“It’s a shame you still can’t do that sexy vampire-jumping thing”
“Tampons!”
Travis the cat, my beloved. I know it’s not important but I need to know what happened to him
Mick is a cat person.
Leave Travis alone Logan
Logan trying to be cool
“Nobody ever uses their pets name as their password” Maureen uses her cats name
“Like Josef’s not capable of murder”
“Josef probably murders everyday”
“It’s like role playing but without the leather” Josef what are you into
Politics and politicians untrustworthy no matter what universe you’re in
In retrospect Bonnie’s reactions make a lot more sense now
“Doughnuts!” So sad Mick will never have a Krispy Kreme doughnut.
“Those are Liposuction scars” Mick and Guillermo 👀
Talbot is right about Beth tainting evidence but he doesn’t need to be a Dick
“I’m actually going to have to chase this guy? Crap”
Mick is 85 years old as of this episode
Kent Marrow proving politicians are always BSing
“I will press charges!” 🙄 like shut up dude
“Secrets are like a disease and if we don’t share them, then they eat us up on the inside…until there’s nothing left, until it feels like we’re already dead.” I don’t have any secrets like this but I always liked this
Dr. Anders was one of the names on the vampire list and interestingly I don’t think it was marked off
Mick and Beth never getting their proper date
Dude this vampire is dumb as shit like attacking a D.A in broad daylight and while one of your clients death is being investigated. Has got to be one of the stupidest things ever and then he kidnaps the man like WTF
Mick trying to go all Van Hesling to save Beth
I wonder if Guillermo and Josef are friends or if he just provides Josef with blood from time to time. Guillermo obviously has Josef personal number and it seems like they’re on first name basis
Guillermo does have a last name, I’m pretty sure it’s Gasol or something like that. So it’s not like that’s his only name known to us
“He has Beth. He has my Beth” 🥺🥹
Was the single tear a bit much? Maybe but I love the drama
Mick and Josef here to save the day
Obviously Vampires don’t die from having their neck snapped but how long does it take to recover from that?
About Talbot “he doesn’t strike me as someone who likes unanswered questions” unfortunately you are correct
“I could never hate you” 🥹
Moonlight and their music choices 👌🏻
Mick/Beth kiss where Mick instigates the kiss
Lucky by Bif Naked is a great choice for these two, especially this episode
I give this episode 10 out of 10 wooden stakes

Keeping Secrets Ch. 51
Keeping Secrets Masterlist
A/N: According to the TVD universe timeline I’ve been using, Hayley was pregnant with Hope for like, a year and a half or some crazy crap. So just so you guys know in this story, Baby M. was conceived in late March, putting Katie’s due date in late December or early January.
Late October (The day after Rebekah left)
Katie, sleeping with her back to Klaus’s chest, was woken up by the feel of him slipping his fingertips lightly up her bare arm, skipping over the strap of her pajama top as he moved them over her shoulder and across her chest. Curious about what he’d do next she kept her eyes closed, pretending to still be asleep. He traced back over his previous path then down her side and over her thigh that he gently gripped. The touch sent a tingle throughout her body, but she tried her best to hide her reaction.
Since that didn’t wake her he slowly moved his hand up and under her pajama shorts and she almost had to bite her lip to hide her reaction to his teasing. He knew she was awake, not from her relaxed face or slow even breathing, but from the beat of her heart, that skipped at his tempting touches. With his hand now on her hip he pulled her closer then went back to lightly slipping his fingertips over her smooth exposed skin. When he moved his hand back to her chest and pressed his palm to it, his fingertips touching the hollow of her neck, her heart skipped again and he couldn’t hold back his chuckle. “You are an amazing actress, Little Phoenix, but the beating of your heart betrays you.”
She smiled, but didn’t open her eyes. “I’ll work in it.”
“Why do you attempt to fool me?” he asked, letting his eyes skim her face.
“Because I’m afraid if I open my eyes you’ll stop touching me like that.” she answered then opened her eyes to see him studying her face. “I missed you.” he placed the backs of his fingers on her cheek and stroked it with his thumb. “When those witches took you I…” she narrowed her eyes and shook her head, “I hated not being able to help you, not knowing where you were or what they were doing to you. How did they manage to take you down anyway?”
“While Elijah was saving you from that burning house, Sophie Deveraux stabbed me with Papa Tunde’s blade. I passed out and woke up in the sanatorium.” He answered then dropped his hand to rest on the side of her neck.
“Well, the next time I see her I’m going to bust one of Bonnie’s magic muting bombs in her face and break her neck.” Katie said through gritted teeth.
“I would pay to see that, Little Phoenix, however someone beat you to the punch.” He told her getting a curious look from her. “Sophie is dead, Elijah didn’t tell you?” he asked and she shook her head no.
“So what happened to you, at the sanatorium?” Katie asked, getting back on topic.
“Genevieve shackled me to a chair, took the blade out, kept me weak and linked my mind to Rebekah’s. While we were linked Genevieve forced Rebekah to take a walk down memory lane revealing her betrayal.” he answered.
“Why? What did Genevieve get out of it?” Katie asked with a frown.
“Revenge against Rebekah.” Klaus answered.
Katie gave him a confused shake of her head. “I know Rebekah used her to bring your father here, but that doesn’t seem reason enough to completely wreck someone’s family.”
“When Genevieve found out exactly who she brought to town and that Mikael would kill me she threatened to come to me and beg for forgiveness for what she had unknowingly done. Rebekah could not let that happen, so she infected Genevieve and her nosey little friend with Spanish influenza and had them locked in quarantine until they died.”
“Do you happen to know the name of the friend?” Katie asked curiously.
“Clara I think.” He answered, “Why?”
“Things are making so much more sense now.” Katie said with a look around and a shake of her head. “In 1919 Celeste was using Clara’s body. Both Celeste and Genevieve were victims of Mikaelson mistakes and Bastianna went along with everything because she was mad at Father K. and Marcel for screwing up the harvest ritual.”
To change the subject Klaus slipped his hand over her growing stomach and asked, “How is our little princess?”
“I haven’t felt her move in a while. I’m worried.” Katie admitted as she slipped her hand over his and looked down at her dark blue pajama tank top covered stomach.
“Her heartbeat is as strong as ever.” He told her as he brushed his thumb back and forth over her stomach. “We can find a doctor in town to take you to if you need more reassurance.”
She was about to take him up on the offer when the baby kicked hard, making their hands move. “Nope, I think I know what the problem was.” Katie told him as she gave his shoulder a push then moved to straddle him.
“Yeah?” he asked, placing his hands on her hips as she settled into his lap.
“She, like her mother, simply missed you.” She was about to lean in and kiss him when her phone on the bedside table chimed so she leaned over and grabbed it.
“If that is Nate I’m going to get jealous.” He told her with a bit of a smirk.
“It’s Hayley.” She replied as she opened the text. “Did you know the crescent wolves have been cursed to only be human on the full moon?” she asked and he shook his head no. “Elijah told me about it and Hayley came to me the day before yesterday asking for information in exchange for helping keep the peace between us and the wolves. Turns out Celeste cursed them while hopping a ride in a Deveraux witch’s body.” Klaus slipped his hands up her sides as she read the text, going back to caressing her like he had been before they started talking. “According to this message Hayley got to Celeste before Elijah killed her and got what she needed to cure her people.” Katie texted back, “Awesome.” and a smiley face emoji then put her phone away. “On the subject of Nate, who’s not gay just so you know,” Klaus gave her an I-knew-it look. “Oh don’t look at me like that. Straight or not he’s not interested in me like that. Besides, I doubt I’ll be talking to him anytime soon considering he’s been banished from the quarter. It seems it’s not meant for me to have friends here.”
“Why not get Bonnie to make a daylight ring for Josh?” Klaus asked. “He’s completely loyal to Marcel and you’ve expressed the desire for his friendship in the past.”
“Bonnie doesn’t make those rings for just anyone. She didn’t even want to make one for me, but Damon and Elena talked her into it and I had to promise that I wouldn’t feed on people before I could have it.” she said with a shake of her head. “And I kept that promise up until I stopped clinging so tightly to a relationship that was doomed from the beginning.”
“So that’s why your compulsion sucked when we first met.” He said with a small smile at the memory of the guy that Klaus almost killed at homecoming.
“Pretty much.” She nodded. “And after getting compelled by Elijah I have to wonder if all compulsion feels that invasive and violating or just what he compelled me to do.”
“You’re livid with him for that, aren't you?” he asked, seeing a spark in her eyes.
“Livid is an understatement.” she answered with a nod as she dropped her eyes to his shirt covered chest. “That slap was not satisfying enough.” She looked into his eyes. “I’m guessing you’re mad at him for defending Rebekah.”
“As well as a plethora of other things.” He replied then slipped his hand over her cheek and pulled her down for a slow, sweet kiss. “Less discussion.” He whispered then started kissing his way to her neck, pulling a sigh from her when he grazed his teeth over the sensitive skin. “Show me how much you missed me.” he whispered then kissed her earlobe as he threaded his fingers through her long, wavy auburn locks at the nape of her neck. She pulled back and looked him in the eyes as she grabbed the hem of the grey wife beater he’d worn to sleep and pulled it over his head. His hands settled on her sides as she tossed the shirt aside then turned her eyes to his torso, slipping her fingertips over his shoulders, his collarbones, down his chest, over his perfectly toned abs and around to hold his sides. She leaned forward and kissed his chest slowly working her way up to his neck where she nibbled, pulling a sigh from him as his hands lightly squeezed her hips.
She kissed just below his ear before she whispered, “Tá tú gan locht.” “You are perfect.” Her words, spoken seductively in her native tongue, made a toe curling groan slip from his lips and he wanted to take her right then, but after two nights without her, he wanted to make the moment last. So she kissed down to his chest, "tá tú dathúil." "You are handsome." she kissed over to one of his nipples and swirled her tongue around it making him sigh and back to the nape of her neck, his fingers tangled in her hair. "Tá tú blasta..." "You are delicious..." she pulled back and looked into his lust veiled eyes, “and...Kingdom or no kingdom…'' She moved to sit on her knees beside him, "village or no village," removed the blankets from his lap then slipped her fingertips up his inner thigh stopping at the line of his boxers then leaned up and caught his lips in a kiss that quickly heated up. When it finally broke she opened her eyes, her bright greens meeting his steel blues, "beidh tú i mo rí go deo." "you will forever be my king."
A gasp left his lips as he whooshed to his knees, one hand still on the back of her neck and the other pressed to her lower back, holding her as close to him as her belly would allow. Her hands pressed into his back as he caught her lips with his. Every ounce of passion, how much what she said meant to him washing over her like a tidal wave. As his tongue found hers her hands slipped down to his lower back, lightly scratching him as she moved her hands to hold his sides, steadying herself. He broke the kiss and cupped her cheek in his large hand as he looked into her equally lust clouded eyes. “Tá tú, mo bhanríon, ar meisciúil.” “You, my queen, are intoxicating.” She’d known he could understand her when she spoke Irish, but she didn’t know he could speak it and doing so caused an overwhelming amount of love and desire to wash over her.
A smile spread over her lips before she bit her bottom one and let it slip between her teeth. “Say that again.”
“Tá tú meisciúil.” “You’re intoxicating.” He repeated as he brushed his thumb over her cheek.
“The other part.” She told him with a smirk.
“Mo bhanríon.” “My Queen.” He picked up her left hand from his side and looked down at the tiara on her finger, sat it and her other hand on his shoulders then grabbed her butt with one hand and her back with the other, picking her up. A laugh left her lips as she wrapped her legs around him and he laid her back cutting off her laugh with his lips on hers.

Katie stood in the kitchen making a late breakfast when Elijah walked in. “Where is Niklaus this morning?” he asked as he leaned on the frame of the archway that led into the room.
“His studio.” She answered flatly, not looking up from the banana she was slicing. She was hoping he’d go away in pursuit of Klaus, but instead he walked over to stand beside her, leaning his hip on the edge of the counter.
“I owe you an apology.” He told her as he set his hand on the bar next to the cutting board.
She flipped the knife around in her hand, slammed it down into the back of his hand. He looked at his hand and the knife that she still held onto then back at her. She looked into his brown eyes with a glare that he was unfortunately getting used to being aimed at him. “I am getting, so sick of your apologies.” She told him through gritted teeth. “Thanks to you, in the back of my head I am still unwillingly coming up with ways to excuse what Rebekah has done.”
“You are the one person he listens to. I needed you to talk him down.” Elijah reasoned.
“Playing mediator was not my job or my wish at that moment.” She argued angrily as she jerked the blade out of his hand and tossed it into the sink. “He looked like death warmed over and all I wanted was to be there for him, however he needed me. Rather that was simply nursing him back to health or talking him out of killing his sister.”
“You made it perfectly clear you had no intentions of that.” Elijah pointed out.
“I was angry with her and pissed at you for stabbing him!” She yelled at him, but she stopped, closed her eyes and placed her hands on the bar as she took a deep breath then let it out. “I said things I didn’t mean. If you seriously think I’d ever really want him to kill her,” she looked back up at him, “for him to live, knowing that he was the one that took her from this world…then you really don’t know me at all.”
“Yes, well, you were not the only one who was angry.” He pulled the handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped the blood from his hand where she had stabbed him.
“Oh I’m aware.” She used her hand to scrape the banana slices off of the cutting board into a bowl of honey nut cheerios. “Klaus and Rebekah aren’t the only ones who inherited the Mikaelson temper. You, in your anger, kicked a friend of mine out of this house.”
“You made a friend amongst the riffraff. Why does that not surprise me?” he asked, his air of superiority pissing her off.
She grabbed the jug of milk out of the fridge and took the cap off. “Just because they were loyal to Marcel and Klaus does not make them unworthy of being in the presence of the holier-than-thou Elijah Mikaelson.” She poured some milk in her bowl then capped it and looked at Elijah. “My friend's name is Nate and he is welcome here anytime I damn well please.” She grabbed her bowl of cereal and took a bite.
“If I find out he has less than honorable intentions for you I will put an end to them.” Elijah warned her.
“I’ve come to expect no less from you.” she replied and started to walk off.
“Katie.” She turned back to him with a sigh and an eye roll. He walked over to her, placed his fingertips on her cheek then looked into her eyes. “You are free of my compulsion.”
She blinked out of the compulsive state then took his hand off her face. “Thank you. Now, if you ever compel me again, you can expect more than a slap to the face and a knife through your hand.”

Later that evening Elijah led Katie to the court yard where Nate stood near the fountain. “He asked to speak to you.” Elijah told her as they walked down the stairs.
“Nate, what are you doing here? Elijah could have killed you.” Katie asked as she walked over to him and the other two vampires.
“I don’t want to leave the quarter. It’s my home.” Nate answered. “Most of the others are across the river following Diego, but I have a different leader in mind.” He made a motion at her with his hand.
“Me?” Katie asked with raised brows and a disbelieving tone. “You’ve got to be kidding.”
“Hear me out.” He told her defensively. “I understand that you have Klaus and Elijah, but they can’t always be with you. You’ve complained in the past about not being about to go out and about without one of them with you to make sure the witches leave you be. You need a body guard since your dad left. Besides, I kind of thought we had become friends and I don’t leave my friends even when an original tells me to.” He glanced at Elijah who was standing behind Katie then back at her.
“Don’t you have friends amongst the people that you’re leaving behind for me?” Katie asked with a narrow eyed head shake.
“Not really, no.” he answered as he tucked his hands into his pockets. “I’ve lived here for five years. Only a year of that has been spent with Marcel and his people and the whole time I was with them I never felt like I was one of them. You’re the first friend I’ve had here.” He finished with a shrug.
“Then how did you get a daylight ring so fast?” Katie asked.
“I was a vampire before I moved here. Not all witches hate vampires, as you well know.” He pointed out with a motion to the daylight ring she still wore. “If I have to follow a leader to live in this city then I choose you.” he told her with a shrug.
“I say he can stay.” Klaus’s voice hit their ears and they both looked at him as he walked down the stairs to stand beside Elijah. “Though, I’m not sure my opinion is the one that matters at the moment.”
“I would like him to stay here and be able to come and go as he pleases.” Katie said with a look at Elijah.
Elijah frowned in thought and crossed his arms over his chest. After a few seconds that felt like minutes he gave Katie a nod then looked at Nate. “Do not make me regret letting you stay.” Nate gave him a nod.
A Week Later
Katie sat at a chair at the hair salon in the quarter, the hairdresser cutting her long hair that hadn’t been cut in over a year, back into the style Katie preferred which was shoulder length with layers and side bangs. Nate sat in a chair outside keeping an eye on every person that entered the salon while pretending to read a newspaper.
“You know,” Genevieve said as she sat down in the empty chair next to Katie that wasn’t being used by a hairdresser, “You may have Klaus wrapped around your finger, but I’ll have that little knot untied in no time.”
“Excuse me?” Katie asked with raised brows as she looked at Genevieve out of the corners of her eyes, not able to turn her head for fear of messing up her stylist.
Genevieve propped her elbow up on the armrest of the chair. “Once he sees how powerful I am and that I can offer him things you could never dream of, he’ll realize you are nothing more than a has been.”
“You’re forgetting two little problems with your theory.” Katie pointed out, turning her head while her stylist sprayed her hair with water, to give Genevieve a glare. “I’m pregnant with his daughter, and he loves me. He’d never leave me for an overconfident little witch bitch like you.”
Genevieve looked at her painted red nails and shrugged. “We’ll see about that.” she gave Katie a confident smirk as she stood and walked away.
Not two seconds later Nate sat down beside her. “I tried to stop her, but she did that stupid thing witches do where they make it feel like your head’s going to explode.” He told her with a rub of his temples.
“It’s fine.” She told him with a shake of her head.
“Are you gonna tell Klaus?” he asked, sounding worried.
“That a witch got past you or that said witch is out to snatch him away from me?” she asked with a look at him before the stylist asked her to look straight ahead. So she did.
“Um…both?” he answered though it sounded more like a question.
“I have to warn him that she’s after him, even though she could try as hard as she wanted to and she’d never come between us.” she answered. “Don’t worry about Klaus. Unless you do something incredibly stupid like side with our enemies, you’re safe.”
Present Time
Elijah stood in the doorway of Katie’s recording studio watching her where she sat on the couch in the control room, practicing guitar that she’d been getting lessons to play. She’s also been getting lessons on recording and writing music. “What is that you’re playing?” he asked curiously.
“You mean other than a guitar?” she asked then looked away from her fingers on the guitar strings to give him a smile that let him know she was joking with him. He gave her a small, fleeting smile back as he walked in and sat down in the chair at the control table, facing her. “It’s a song of mine, ‘Lonely’.” She answered.
“May I hear it?” he asked hopefully.
“Mmmm…I don’t know…” she answered with a draw. “It’s kind of depressing and I’m not that good yet.” She reasoned with a motion to the guitar.
“I promise not to judge.” He told her with a serious look then gave her a small smile.
“Fine…” she sighed then turned her attention to her guitar and started playing a slow, melancholy tune and sang. “I’m slowly killing myself. Trying so hard at the back of the shelf. It’s just the same every day. I’m writing these songs that will never get played. I get told what’s wrong and what’s right. I don’t have a fantastic life. Everyone’s dying so I keep on trying to make ‘em proud before they’re gone. Can’t someone help me, please, someone help me. I don’t care, anyone or anything ‘cause I’m so sick of being so lonely.” She finished at what she had learned to play then looked at Elijah to see him frowning. “It sucks, I know…” she sighed and set the guitar on the couch beside her.
“No, it was good.” Elijah countered still with a frown on his face. “When did you write it?”
“The end of sophomore year, right after Elena’s parents died. Why?” she asked with a frown.
“Because what I just heard was a literal cry for help.” He told her, sounding really worried.
“Let me guess you thought I’d been feeling neglected by Klaus and lonely because he’s been…entertaining, Genevieve.” She said with a smirk that told him he was being ridiculous. He just nodded. “I knew what I was getting into when we started this whole thing. He’s not neglecting me. I still get just as much time with him as I always did. She gets his days, I get his nights and after Klaus’s wolf relatives and the crescent wolves have moonlight rings on their fingers…she gets dropped on her bony little ass.”
“You are aware that in order to keep up the charade Klaus will eventually be required to give her some of your nights, right?” Elijah pointed out.
“I’m aware.” Katie nodded.
“She will grow suspicious if she even so much as suspects that you and Klaus are still together.” He reminded her.
“And have I not played my part perfectly?” Katie asked, getting irritated with him.
“You have, which is what confuses me.” he told her with a frown. “How are you okay with him indulging her?”
“Because I know where his heart truly lies and that everything that happens between them means absolutely nothing to him and everything to her.” Katie argued.
“How can you so callously crush someone’s heart when yours has been broken so many times?” Elijah asked.
“Because after torturing him and Rebekah, threatening to take Klaus from me and therefore break up yet another part of his family she deserves to get dropped on her ass.” Katie answered then decided to change the subject a bit. “So how’s it going with your end of things?”
“I have gotten the new faction leaders to agree to a meeting this afternoon.” He answered. “Would you like to join me in leading it?” he asked, catching Katie a little off guard. “Diego and Hayley respect you.”
“Yes, but Genevieve will be there representing the witches. Witches, who I need not remind you, I have a special hatred of. Putting the two of us in one room together will be like putting two angry vipers in a tank and watching them fight to the death. It will be counter productive to the mission.” Katie pointed out.
“Yes, you are probably right about that.” he agreed.
“Is she gone yet?” Katie asked, missing the enhanced hearing she once had as a vampire.
Elijah listened for a moment. “No. She and Niklaus are talking, but it’s nothing of import. Would you like me to interrupt and urge her to leave?”
“Yes, please.” Katie told him with a thankful look.

That afternoon, while Elijah and Genevieve were at the summit, Katie and Klaus had lunch together. “So, how are things with Genevieve?” Katie asked before she took a bite of her b.l.t. sandwich.
“I believe she has grown suspicious.” He answered making Katie give him a curious look. “I noticed a willows hoop dream catcher, adorned with the bones and feet of a chicken, on a shelf in our quarters.”
“She’s spying on you.” Katie observed getting a look from Klaus that asked how she knew about the witch’s use of dream catcher spy glasses. “Fiona’s mother used them all the time to keep tabs on my father. That way she wouldn’t get caught healing my back.”
Klaus looked at her with sadness in his eyes and she knew it was because he too knew what it felt like to have his flesh split open with tiny strips of leather. He took a deep breath, then let it out and took a bite of his lunch. “Yes, she is spying on me. So we can no longer sleep in our quarters.”
“Because if you move or destroy the dream catcher it will only further her suspicions.” Katie sighed.
“And I’m afraid her suspicion stems from the fact that she and I have been taking it too slow. My actions do not match my reputation.” He added. “It is time I took the next step with her…”
“Well,” Katie paused to swallow the food in her mouth then continued, “we knew this was going to happen sooner or later.” she pushed her empty plate away and took a drink of water from the clear wine glass.
“I can not tell if you are hiding your resentment with indifference or if you truly do not care rather or not I sleep with Genevieve.” He observed.
“Klaus…” she sighed as she stood from the chair and walked around the table to lean her butt against it as she looked down at him, “I truly don’t care if you have sex with her. If you’re comfortable using it as a tool of manipulation then so am I.” she assured him. “All of this…Elijah working to unite the factions, us empowering the werewolves and manipulating Genevieve into doing so…it’s all to achieve one main goal.” She placed her hand on his cheek. “Create a safe environment for our daughter with you and the werewolves at the top of the totem pole. It will take time, but I have all faith that we can make it happen.” He scooted his chair back and grabbed her hips as she slid to stand in front of him. “I’ve asked you before and I have to ask again…are you comfortable using sex to manipulate her?”
“It’s nothing I haven’t done a thousand times before.” He answered as he slipped a hand over her stomach. “It’s easy when she means absolutely nothing to me.” she gave him a look that asked him to give her a straight answer. “Yes, I am comfortable with it.”
“Then we have nothing to worry about.” She told him then leaned down and pressed her lips to his. “Though I worry a little,” she made a pinching gesture with her thumb and pointer finger, “that she will be better than me, all things considered.” Her eyes glanced down at her massive stomach.
“You needn’t worry about that.” Klaus assured her as he stood up and looked down at her.
“But I do.” She replied as she slid her hands up his chest. “I can hardly breath these days much less satisfy you…” her eyes slipped from his to look at her hands on his chest. “Besides, you clearly have a thing for redheads considering I found a painting you made of a very beautiful woman with long, wavy, red locks in the attic.”
“How do you know it’s one of mine?” Klaus asked with a tilt of his head.
“Because I’ve watched you paint enough to know your brushstrokes when I see them.” Katie answered.
“I’ll admit to having a predilection for red hair.” he told her before he pecked her on the end of her nose, “However, you…are the red head I crave every second I am away from you.” he leaned down and caught her lips in a long, slow, sweet kiss.
When it broke she looked into his blue eyes. “I love you, Big Bad Wolf.” He just smiled and slipped his thumb over her cheekbone. “So…how’s Father Kieran?”
“His lucidity is slowly deteriorating.” Klaus answered. “I’ve heard talk of him being replaced as the leader of the human faction.”
“By who?” Katie asked with a frown.
“Francesca Correa.” He answered. “She is the city’s leading philanthropist.”
“So she’s a do-gooder like Father K.?” Katie asked curiously.
“She also owns the biggest casino in the city and is the matriarch to a rather sizable drug trafficking empire.” He added.
“Okay…definitely not a do-gooder.” Katie drawled. “Have you spoken to Cami?” Klaus just shook his head as his cell phone dinged in his back pocket.
“The summit is over. No doubt Genevieve will be here soon.” He told her.
“I will be so glad when this is all done and she is banned from this house.” Katie sighed.
“That makes two of us.” Klaus told her then pecked her on the lips. “Until then we all have our parts to play.”
Katie simply blew air between her lips as she led her head fall forward to rest on his chest. Knowing what she was feeling he pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

With Nate at her side Katie looked through maternity dresses on a rack in the local maternity boutique. “So why are you going to this party?” Nate asked as he looked through a rack then held up a black dress and she shook her head no.
“Because it’s partially my responsibility to help Klaus and Elijah make this place safe for my child to grow up in.” She answered and he held up another dress. “Ooh, I like that one.” She took it from him when he held it out to her and draped it over her arm. “And you wonder why I thought you were gay when we first met.” She commented with a playful smile.
“Hey, a guy doesn’t have to be gay to know what will look good on a woman.” He defended.
“Oh I’m aware.” she replied with a laugh.
“For curiosity’s sake why did you think I was gay?” he asked as he held up another dress that she liked and tossed it over her arm.
“You’re pretty for a guy.” She answered and he gave her a “get serious” look. “And I mean that in a very…Jensen Ackles kind of way.”
“Thanks…I think.” He told her as he held up another dress and she shook her head.
“You’re welcome.” She told him then looked at her arm to see that she had way too many dresses stacked on it. “I’m going to go try these on.” After waiting for what felt like forever for her to be done she stepped out of the dressing room in a dark blue form fitting dress that stopped just above her knees with a deep v cowl neckline and long sleeves. “Be honest, what do you think? Is it too plain?”
“I think if you wear that dress every male at the party as well as some females might have heart attacks.” He answered.
“Is that a good thing?” Katie asked with an unsure look down at the generous amount of cleavage that the dress revealed.
“Yes.” He answered. “And no, it’s not too plain.”
“It doesn’t look like I’m trying way too hard to be sexy when in reality I look like a blue whale?” she asked self-consciously.
“No.” he answered. “If your goal is to make Klaus remember what he left for a shapeless bean pole with no personality setting other than bitch, then this is your dress.”
“What would I do without you?” Katie asked fondly.
“You would be a hopeless mess too scared to leave the compound.” He answered, then smiled and shook his head. “Na, you’d be just fine, friendless, but fine. Now go change, I still need to buy something to wear to this fancy pants shindig.”
She ducked back behind the curtain of the changing room. “You’re coming tonight?” she asked knowing that parties weren’t usually his thing.
“You think I’m going to let you walk into a room of witches, werewolves and vampires without a bodyguard?” he asked as if her question was silly. “No. I’m your self appointed friend date.”
Katie just laughed to herself at his silly over protectiveness. “You know both Elijah and Klaus will be there right? Neither of them will let anything happen to me.”
“Yes, but Elijah will most likely be working the floor ensuring that everyone gets along with each other and Klaus will have his head up Genevieve’s butt.” He pointed out.
“Okay, fine, you can be my friend date.” She told him as she pulled her maternity shirt over her head then stepped out of the booth and shrugged her jacket on.

Loud dance music floated upstairs from the party that was kicking off downstairs and into the bedroom that was attached to the nursery where Katie stood at a vanity fastening a shimmering bracelet around her wrist. When it was secured she took off the necklace Klaus had given her and added some small shimmering beads to the chain dressing it up to match the form flattering dress. Klaus let himself in and quietly closed the door. Katie turned to see him dressed in a black suit with a black dress shirt and a black and gold printed tie. “Hello handsome.” Katie greeted with an appreciative tone that suggested if she had it her way they wouldn’t leave the bedroom at all tonight.
Klaus growled, low and deep, as he sat his hands on her waist then slid them down to her hips and caught her lips with his. “Was it your intention, when you chose that dress, to torture me all night?”
Katie laughed and he noticed a devious tone in it. “I chose it to show Genevieve that regardless of what she thinks even eight months pregnant I’m still sexier than she’ll ever be. Torturing you and making you think only of me all night was just a happy side note.”
He gave her an impressed look with his lust filled eyes. “You haven’t peeked at the nursery have you?” he asked considering he knew it was tempting to do so, but he hadn’t finished it yet and didn’t want her to see it until he was done.
“I promised you I wouldn’t.” she told him with an eye roll and he gave her a look that told her to be honest. “No, I haven’t peeked at your unfinished project.”
“And you remember your role for tonight?” he asked, getting back to business.
“Yep, hang out with Nate, look defeated when I see you with Genevieve, help keep an eye out for tension and if need be distract Genevieve catty, immature banter while you’re talking to Jackson who is the alpha of one of the two branches of crescent wolves.” She answered then slid her hands over the smooth skin of his neck.
He smiled down at her but it faded when an uncomfortable look flashed across her face and she placed her hand on her stomach. “What’s wrong?” he asked, suddenly concerned.
“It’s nothing.” She assured him with a shake of her head as her face relaxed.
“Katie.” He drawled in a warning tone.
“Klaus.” She mimicked back. “It’s just Braxton hicks.”
“You’re sure?” he asked with wide worried eyes.
“I’m sure.” She assured him then dropped her hand from her loosening stomach. “I know what contractions feel like. I’ll tell you when I start feeling the real thing.” He breathed out a heavy breath and rested his forehead on hers. “I know you grow more anxious the closer we get to the due date…” she sighed as she grabbed his hands off of her hips and threaded their fingers together as she looked into his steel blue eyes. “But we’ll be okay.”
It was rare for him to let her see him vulnerable, but every time he did it just reminded her how much he cared for her and trusted her. Eventually, as the music outside grew louder, Klaus let go of her hands and pecked her on the lips. “Let’s get this show on the road shall we?” he asked as he held his hand out to the door for her to go first.

Katie and Nate were sitting at a table munching on some hors d’oeuvres when Genevieve and the three harvest girls walked in from one entrance. At the same time, a group of people led by two rustically handsome men, one with long blond hair and the other with shorter, but still long brown hair, came in from the second. “I’m guessing those guys are the crescent wolves?” Katie asked Nate.
“Yep. Something tells me it’s only a matter of time before this party gets interesting.” He answered then noticed her plate was empty so he grabbed his then motioned to hers, “you done with that?” she gave him a nod so he went to pass the plates off to a waiter. While he was gone she watched Elijah join the party and Katie was going to go talk to him and compliment him on his party planning skills, but another woman beat her to it and started flirting with him. “Feeling jealous?” Nate asked as he joined her at the tall table and handed her a champagne flute of sparkling white grape juice.
“What?” she asked looking away from the woman and Elijah, to a smirking Nate. “Why would I be jealous?”
“Um, probably because you two were a thing once upon a time.” He answered getting a frown from Katie considering she never told him about her past with Elijah. “It’s kind of public knowledge that you were soul bound to him and the link only broke because your soul shattered. The recovery from which led to you being able to get knocked up by Klaus when you were still a vampire.”
“My life’s story is public knowledge?” she asked with raised brows and he nodded. “Wow, that sucks. But to answer your question, no I’m not jealous. I’m curious.” She told him with a sigh then looked to see that Elijah was elsewhere, but the woman still stood at the table choosing desserts.
“You’re curious?” he asked disbelievingly.
“Last I heard he was dating Hayley. So when I see him flirting with whoever that chick is, yeah I get a touch curious.” She defended.
“That chick is Francesca Correa.” Nate informed her with a smirk.
“Would it completely and totally annoy you if I asked you to be nosey and tell me what Elijah and Diego are talking about?” Katie asked with a nod of her head at the two men.
“Not at all, I love being nosey.” He told her with an interested smirk then noticed her giving him a look. “What, guys can be nosey too.”
“I knew there was a reason I like you.” she told him with a laugh that he playfully shushed.
“Elijah is telling Diego to be polite and welcoming to the wolves, but they killed Diego’s family and would have killed him too had Marcel not saved him.” Nate told her while continuing to listen then Katie watched as Elijah said something to Diego and walked away.
“What did Elijah say back?” Katie asked, but when she looked at Nate she saw that he was looking off to the side and up. She followed his gaze and realized he’d noticed Klaus and Genevieve standing on the upper balcony talking.
“Elijah used fancy words to tell him to suck it up and Genevieve just called you a walking incubator with trashy taste in fashion.” He answered. The insult didn’t bother her, it wasn’t anything she hadn’t heard a thousand times before in her life. What bothered her was when Klaus placed his hand on Genevieve’s shoulder and said something to make her smile before he kissed her.
It wasn’t passionate or even a lingering kiss, but it was still a kiss and the first time Katie had actually seen them together. “If you squeeze that glass any harder it’s going to break and slice your hand open. I don’t need to tell you how bad that would be given the amount of vampires in the building.” Katie tore her eyes off of Genevieve, who’d seen her giving them a glare that if looks could kill would have Genevieve coughing up blood, then set her flute of juice on the table. She flexed her fingers and took a deep breath. “You okay?”
“Yeah.” She answered. He ducked into her line of vision and raised his brows at her. “No, but…I have to be.” She told him with a sigh. “Otherwise I’m not and I can’t deal with that right now.”
“Well, I would offer you a drink, but…” he motioned to her stomach.
“Yeah, trust me, if I wasn’t pregnant I would have found my way to the nearest container of bourbon and drank half of it already.” She told him with an aggravated look then picked up her glass and downed it.
“You know they say the last month of pregnancy is all hormones and mood swings. So, just, keep that in mind.” He told her in an attempt to make her feel like less of a crazy person and she gave him a thankful look.
An hour later, Nate had left her to dance with a witch that had been eyeing him all night. So Katie stood at the table by herself watching him dance with the witch and Elijah dance with Hayley. She was supposed to be keeping an eye out for fighting or tension, but so far the entire party had been going according to plan. So when Jackson, the rustically handsome brunette werewolf, interrupted Elijah and Hayley and Hayley started dancing with him, Katie left the table she’d been hanging out at to go to Elijah. “Save me from my boredom?” she asked with her hand held out to him.
“Gladly.” He took it and gave her a spin before she placed her other hand on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her waist.
“Did she just ditch you?” Katie asked with a glance at Hayley.
“She just informed me that she and Jackson were betrothed right after their birth and considering she is eight weeks pregnant with his child they are going through with the ceremony.” He told her with a displeased look.
“But Jackson and the other crescents haven’t even been cured for a full month.” Katie thought out loud. “So that means…” she couldn’t make herself finish her sentence. It meant that Hayley has slept with Jackson while being courted by Elijah. “I warned her-”
“It’s fine.” He cut her off.
“She cheated on you. That’s not okay in my book.” Katie argued with a frown and a glare at Hayley who saw and averted her eyes in shame.
“They got caught up during a full moon and sparks flew.” He defended Hayley. “I can’t say I do not know the feeling.” She knew from the look in his chocolate browns that he was talking about the sparks that once flew between the two of them. “I just did not feel it with her.”
“What about Francesca Correa?” Katie asked and he narrowed his eyes and shook his head not knowing what she was talking about. “I saw you two flirting earlier.”
“She flirted first and I flattered her because she is the new head of the human faction.” He explained.
“Either way, she has a thing for you.” Katie told him noticing Francesca gave Katie the stink eye. “She doesn’t like that I’m dancing with you.”
“Well, you are incredibly threatening to the entire female population in that dress.” He replied purposely making it a point to not look any lower down than her eyes.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” She told him before he gave her another twirl making her smile.

Katie was dancing with Nate when a confrontation between the blond werewolf guy, who’s name she’d learned was Oliver, and Diego broke out. As soon as Diego threw Oliver into a glass table, shattering it, Nate whooshed Katie up to the second floor away from the fight. Soon after, Elijah pinned Oliver’s head down on a table while Jackson held Diego against one of the wooden columns with a stake on his chest. “This ends now. I won’t ask again.” Elijah told Oliver.
“Oh we’ll end it alright.” Jackson said, making Elijah look over his shoulder to see that he had Diego pinned down.
“So end it.” Katie spoke up as she left Nate and started walking down the stairs and into the middle of the courtyard. “Kill each other. Get it all over with.”
When she walked past Klaus where he had been talking to Francesca she heard her ask him, “Shouldn’t you intervene or something?”
“Why would I? This party just got interesting.” Klaus replied. “Besides, I want to know what’s going to come out of that talented little mouth of hers.”
Katie ignored him and kept her eyes on Elijah and Jackson. “Except that it won’t be over. It will just be one more hate crime to add to the long list. Let’s take a look at the “crimes” each of the factions shall we?” She air quoted the word crimes as she looked at Jackson and Oliver. “The werewolves have a natural and uncontrollable tendency to turn feral one night a month and tear people to shreds. Therefore getting on everyone’s bad side and we all know that the wolves and vampires have hated each other since the creation of time.”
She turned her eyes to Elijah and Diego. “Then there's the vampires who ticked off the witches by throwing a wrench into their harvest ritual and using one of their own to control them. And, well, they anger the werewolves and humans simply by existing.”
From there she looked at the witches. “In retaliation for the vampires and the leader of the human faction getting in the way of them gaining more power with their ritual, the witches hexed not one, but two humans. Long before that they also cursed the werewolves to live in their wolf form save one day of the month. And to top it all off they’ve angered the original vampires with their repeated attempts to get rid of my unborn child.”
Lastly she looked at Francesca, “Then there’s the human’s…” she sighed. “From what I’ve seen they turn a blind eye as long as the money keeps rolling in and when it stops they go on a killing spree of whatever faction cut them off.”
“Are you approaching a point?” Elijah asked, still pinning Oliver’s head to the table.
“My point is…” she turned to look at everyone else in the room, now speaking to them. “We all have reason to hate each other, but we need to put the past in the past, step out of the hate tainted shoes of our ancestors and come together to create a thriving community. Not just for ourselves, but for future generations as well. Otherwise we will constantly be looking over our shoulders waiting for the next war to break out…the next crime to be committed, and I don’t know about all of you, but that doesn’t seem like much of a life to me.” she paused and looked at the four men still frozen in place with their eyes on her. “So, boys, what’s it going to be, murder and war… or peace and hope for a better future?” she asked and the men let go of one other and brushed themselves off. “Alright then,” she looked at the DJ standing at a table in the corner of the silent courtyard and made eye contact with him. “laissez le bon temps rouler!” she waved her finger in the air in a wrap it up manner and the DJ turned the music back on kicking the party back up.
Klaus gave her a proud smirk when they caught each other’s eyes as she turned and headed back up the stairs where Nate still stood. “You are aware that you just did a New Orleans style mike drop right?”
“I’m not sure I’m aware of anything that just came out of my mouth.” She answered as she turned her back to the crowd, leaning on the wooden railing then stared off into the distance. “I hate being the center of attention.”
“Then what possessed you to stick yourself in the limelight?” Nate asked curiously.
She shrugged and shook her head. “I don’t know, I just…I saw Elijah slam that werewolf’s head into a table and Jackson threaten to kill Diego and something in me just…snapped.” She explained then met his green eyes.
“Well, this is your home now and you’re not just a human, you used to be a vampire and you’re carrying a baby that is three out of the four factions. You have good reason to want them to all get along.” Nate pointed out.
“Yes, but that doesn’t give me the right to jump onto a soapbox and lecture them like I’m some kind of high and mighty, all knowing-”
“Queen?” she heard Klaus ask and looked to her left to see him walking over, “May I steal a minute, mate?” he asked Nate who nodded and walked off.
“I’m not a queen.” She told him with a head shake.
“That speech you just gave suggests otherwise.” He countered. “You may not see it, but everyone else does. You were born for this role. All you have to do is open your mouth and people respond.”
“Born for it or not I wasn’t born into it.” she argued as she turned around and looked down at the crowd. “This has only been my home for a little under eight months. Those people have lived here their whole lives.” Genevieve, standing at a table with the harvest girls, minus Davina, looked up at them and Katie frowned. “Queen or not we shouldn’t be talking right now. So,” she gave Genevieve a challenging look as she turned from the crowd to face Klaus and placed her hand on his shoulder. She started seductively talking to and touching him, “I’m going to flirt with you like the desperate, has been, walking incubator she thinks I am and you’re going to look at me like I’m pathetic, reject me then walk away.”
His face took on a look of disdain as he removed her hands from where they were slipping under his suit jacket then towered over her as he grabbed her face in his large hand and looked her in the eyes. “I love you.” from far away, especially from the angle Genevieve was viewing the exchange from, it looked like Klaus had told her he loathed her.
Katie’s face twisted with a pained look and she surprised even herself with the tear that slipped down her cheek as he let go of her face, turned his back on her then walked away. She kept her eyes on him as he made his way to Genevieve then asked her to dance to the slow song that was playing. While they were dancing Genevieve glanced up at Katie and gave her a snooty, ‘I win’ smile then slipped her eyes back to Klaus. “Wanna take a walk, get some fresh air?” Nate asked as he walked over and stood beside her.
“Fresh air would be nice.” She answered as she took her eyes off of Klaus and Genevieve to look at Nate as she wiped the tear from her cheek.
They were on their way to one of the main exits when she heard Elijah call her name and stopped as he walked over to her. “May I have a moment?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.” She answered, wondering if she’d said something in her speech that pissed him off, then looked at Nate who had also stopped, “I’ll meet you outside.” he went ahead and she turned her attention back to Elijah who placed his hand on her shoulder and walked her over to the desserts table. “What’s up?”
“First,” he grabbed a slice of cheesecake and a metal fork and held them out to her so she took them with a roll of her eyes, “I haven’t seen you eat much tonight. Also, I have been talking to the faction leaders and we all agree that you should join us in signing the treaty tonight. They believe you should take a seat at the table.
“What?” she asked around a bite of the plain cheesecake.
“With Rebekah no longer in the picture, the people see you as the Mikaelson matriarch.” He explained. “Not to mention you put things in perspective and gave them the final push that led to them all agreeing to sign the treaty tonight.”
“You call me a matriarch, Klaus calls me a queen, both are flattering, but insanely inaccurate.” She said with an animated shake of her head not understanding why Klaus and Elijah kept putting her on a pedestal.
“Katie, you are standing in a unique place of power as an important member of this community with the fresh, un-bias, view of an outsider. We are simply encouraging you to embrace it. However, it goes without saying that you do not have to do anything you do not want to do.” He told her diplomatically.
“Can I think about it?” she asked as she dropped her eyes to her cheesecake.
“Of course.” He answered, happy that she was even thinking about it. “We’re meeting here in the courtyard at 11 if you decide to sign it.” she just gave him a nod and headed outside where she found Nate sitting on a bench.
“So, what did Elijah want?” he asked as she sat down next to him.
“He asked me to sign the treaty.” She answered with a sigh as she slipped her hands over the itching skin of her stomach.
“Are you going to?” he asked curiously.
“I don’t know.” She answered with a shrug. “On one hand I’m flattered and I want to step up to the plate, but on the other I just want to be a good mother.”
“You know, this is the twenty-first century, you can choose to be both.” He told her, making her look at him across her shoulder. “I think I speak for the masses when I say I think you should go for it. Take your place at the table and use your voice to make a difference.”
Katie took in a deep breath as she lifted her shoulders then let them fall as she let it out.
TVDTVDTVD
Elijah gave Katie a surprised look when he saw her walk into the courtyard and join him, Francesca, Genevieve, Diego, Hayley and Jackson where they all stood around a table that held the new treaty, a bowl and seven silver daggers. Diego was the first to pick up a dagger and cut his palm. Everyone else followed suit then held their hands over the bowl, creating the ‘ink’ they would sign the treaty with. Elijah dipped a quill pen in the blood then handed it to Diego who signed then handed it to Francesca who passed it off to Genevieve then on until Hayley handed Katie the pen. So Katie dipped it then signed her name and handed it to Elijah, the last to sign.
After a few words from Elijah the meeting dispersed. Katie and Genevieve headed for the stairs at the same time and bumped shoulders. Katie bit her tongue, gave Genevieve the most polite smile she could muster for such a horrid person, then stepped aside and waved for her to go first. “You know,” Genevieve started as they neared the top of the stairs, “you can flash your cleavage and flirt all you want, but you’ll never win him back.”
“Yet, I believe you’re time with him is limited and you know it.” Katie replied with a condescendingly chipper tone and her head held high as they came to a stop at the top of the stairs. “After the birth of our child he’ll be so wrapped up in his daughter and me, aka his family, that your little love spell on him will break and he’ll forget all about his witchy little play thing. So enjoy your borrowed time in our bed while it lasts.” Katie told her with a smile as she walked past her. “Goodnight.”
She knew she shouldn’t say things like that since it was technically true, but she was ninety percent sure that Genevieve saw her as a giant joke no matter what came out of Katie’s mouth.

Til I Tasted You: Chapter 2
Bonnie talks Caroline into trying out a "To Find A Mate" spell. The traveling through time part was completely unexpected, as was who the spell reveals. Chapter One on AO3
Uh hi so, this is like three years later! I got inspiration and like was well, I might as well do that sequel everyone asked for!
Thank you @cupcakemolotov and @certifiedceraunophile for your advice and encouragement!
Tags: Time Travel, Mates, Woodsy Makeouts, Magical Accidents, Human Klaus Mikaelson, Vampire Caroline Forbes, things do not go as planned, Werewolf Mates, this isn't a slow burn this is two idiots , tanding around on fire, very tense conversations on porches, You ever just YEARN?, it's yearning hours, Hybrid Klaus Mikaelson, Yeah the 'does he find out?' chapter is here
Caroline parked her car in front of the house and breathed for a minute in the dark, forehead pressed to the steering wheel. She'd had to haltingly explain to Bonnie while wrapped in her comforter what happened.
Embarrassed, horrified, and intrigued in equal measure, Bonnie had seemed to understand what she meant when she tried to explain the way touching him had felt. “It’s the mate bond. It how they… know,” she said awkwardly, gesturing to one of the books still on the floor.
A horrible thought occurred to Caroline. “So you knew. You knew that Tyler wasn’t, because we didn’t...” she trailed off, but Bonnie seemed to understand.
“I knew,” her friend nodded guiltily. “I thought maybe someone new might help, after he...” She bit her lip, obviously thinking how badly that had backfired.
"Damon's going to want to use this," her friend had whispered. And not for the first time, Caroline wondered how much of herself she had to give up for Elena’s happiness. Klaus wasn’t good, he wasn’t kind, but according to very adamant magic, he was hers. And he’d tried to kill her twice.
She could deal with this tomorrow, she thought, finally climbing out of the car. First period history tests didn’t care that your world had been upended, they only cared about essay questions about the political tensions of France in 1789. As she set her foot on the top porch step, Klaus’ voice came out of the dark. “Having a pleasant evening, Caroline?” Her head snapped up.
Klaus leaned casually in the shadow of one of the porch posts, like showing up unannounced at 9pm when she was in a crisis didn't make him a big creepy weirdo. His eyes perused her appearance before refocusing on her face. Something a little like hope, like satisfaction, dawned on his face. "Leave something in the woods?"
Caroline inhaled sharply. Under Bonnie's borrowed shirt she could still feel echoes of his hands gripping her close, could still taste him when she licked her lips, and it felt like the most searing of damnations to still somehow want him. She scoffed anyway. "Did everyone go hiking today? I must have missed the invite."
The corner of his mouth twitched. "That is not the yellow shirt you were wearing this morning. Rebekah was quite... detailed."
She looked away, flush crawling up her cheeks in mortification. "I guess it was too much to hope you had forgotten?" Perversely, desperately, she had wanted him to have remembered.
Klaus didn't seem to breathe and then with a quick step he erased the concept of personal space. "If you think I have forgotten a single moment of what it felt like to touch you in all the time I have had to contemplate what you mean to me, you have not been paying attention." He lifted his hand and with careful fingers touched one of her curls as one touches something precious and burning.
She swatted his hand away. "I think I've been paying attention every time you tried to kill me, Klaus!"
"Do tell," he said neutrally, rubbing his fingertips against his thumb before dropping his hand.
Crossing her arms, she glared at him. This close to him the urge to reach for him was prickling under her palms again and that way lay madness. “You kidnapped me and tried to use me in your murdery hybrid ritual,” she said.
His fingers twitched again, and he shoved them in his pockets. “Yes, I can see how having you and my hybrid safely tucked away from the Salvatore’s incompetence for an afternoon was actually mistaken for an attempt on your life,” he said mildly.
“They snapped my neck and manacled me to a wall, and I was supposed to think ‘Ah, Klaus is trying to save my life, of course, that’s completely obvious!’”
Klaus lifted his shoulders in a shrug. “It seemed expedient at the time.”
Caroline rolled her eyes. “Okay, then please explain making Tyler bite me over a pissing contest you had with Stefan.”
For the first time, Klaus looked away, lips pressed firmly together. “There was never a moment where I would have let you die.”
“Hey no, you don’t get to pull that ‘You were never in any danger’ crap,” she snapped. “I was terrified and I was dying, and you...” You made me want to start living again, was what she couldn’t say.
“He called you his girlfriend,” Klaus’s golden rimmed gaze practically collided with hers with a fury she could feel like radiant heat on her skin. “His girlfriend, like such an infantilizing word could describe what you could be to someone, like you were his. I gave him the chance to prove me wrong, to show me he could defy me for your sake. He failed.”
It took a moment for Caroline to speak again. “You had him bite me because you were jealous?” she asked, incredulously.
Klaus shifted his weight, and then clenched his jaw, gold fading from his eyes. “As if I could be jealous of a boy who has no concept of what it is like to touch the sun and then spend a millennium looking for daylight in every strangers’ face.” His arms bunched as he held himself still, and Caroline remembered what they felt like under her hands, warmth and crystal clear belonging humming at her fingertips.
She closed her eyes and tried to breathe through the swooping feeling in her stomach. “You can’t just… you can’t just say things like that when I’m furious with you,” she said looking back at him, frustrated, mad, and horribly, undeniably charmed.
Giving her ample time to move, Klaus leaned in slowly until his breath feathered against her face. “When you left me in that forest,” He said lowly, “It was with a name, a bit of fabric, and a yearning I had no reference for. I went home and I died that night, and days later when the wolf came clawing out of me, I awoke tied to a post with the bone deep knowledge of what I had gained and what I had lost.” He licked his lips and she could hardly breathe.
“For a thousand years you stayed lost, and I kept your shirt until time unwound it and the faintest scraps remained. So do not presume to tell me that Tyler has something for me to be jealous of when he fled at the first hint of shame.” Very carefully he took a step back, hands sliding from his pockets to clasp behind his back, as if those few precious inches would make the difference.
Caroline dug her nails into her arms and held onto her anger with both fists. “Klaus, you’ve done… so many terrible things since you came into our lives and you, you did them knowing who I was. You killed Elena, you killed Jenna, you tortured Stefan, you turned Tyler into a minion, and… me. You hurt me.” Mulishly, she set her jaw against the gnawing pit behind her breast bone. “Just because I did some dumb spell that says we’re-” She cut herself off, unable to erase or fit the enormity of time travel into the universe’s neon sign sized hint that they were mates.
More evenly she said, "You chose to do those things and you didn't choose me."
Something cracked open behind his eyes, a yearning of a thousand years laid bare. Voice low and rough, he said, "And if I did? If I did choose you? Would my mate also choose me?" He watched her so carefully, this monster that even death didn't want, and she remembered the way he had barely touched her, not so long ago in her bed.
Carefully, Caroline stepped close, unclenching fingers, unwinding her arms. Klaus went hunter still, waiting while she brought a hand up to his face and deliberately cupped his cheek. The pleasurable rush this time was instantaneous, honey-gold and thick through her veins, leaping skin to skin with a roar of here here here is what I was looking for. With a shudder, Klaus closed his eyes and leaned into her palm, breathed in the scent of her pulse, lips pressed to the base of her thumb. It was relief, it was torture, it was like putting out a hearthfire by burning down the house.
This was a mistake, a miscalculation. The ache of arousal twisted through her, opening a chasm of need in her that didn’t answer to principles or objections, that knew his silver tongue could make better promises on her clit until she begged for his cock. A core deep knowledge that he would deny her nothing she wanted in this and more than she could know to ask for.
Drawing in an unsteady breath (don’t moan don’t moan) she pulled her hand back, the pads of her fingers scraping against the scruff of his face. He didn’t quite follow her hand, letting her go. The wolf in his eyes, he watched her clutch her hands to her chest and it looked like triumph.
“Will it always be like that?” Caroline asked shakily.
Klaus made a considering noise in his throat. “It is said there is some element of intent to it, after a certain point,” he said, the smugness back in his voice. “If it’s what you want.”
She narrowed her eyes, ignoring that rude inner voice that whispered how much she did want. “I guess we’ll see.”
He smiled at her, charm tucked in his dimples as he rocked back on his heels. “I look forward to seeing how I can make things up to you, Caroline.”
And then with a whisper of wind she was alone on her porch, her blood still singing in memory of his heat on her skin.

@mepheesto your wish is my command
So Jacqueline ‘Jax’ McArthur is tbh actually my main FO4 PC and yeah they’re actually not a Sole, I describe them as a mechanic or like whatever the closest equivalent to one it’s more about the vibes you know?
And they hang around in the universe of my friend @daraasum‘s SoleSu Clara as they meet her fairly shortly after the events of the game kick off and generally you know help Clara with getting used to the various shades of what the fuck that the Commonwealth brings and they become pretty good friends as time goes on, and then of course that means Jax meets Nick and then Jax falls for Nick because you know who WOULDN’T fall for Mr. Nick Valentine.
Develops a sort of ‘the little brother i never wanted’ relationship with Mac. (Jax isn’t that much older than Mac, being 25 but it’s the vibes you know)
Hancock is technically Jax’s uncle of a sort which both of them have some very complicated feelings on as Hancock knew Jax’s mother, Nancy some time back and yeah it does throw Hancock for a bit of a loop. Part of that being the ‘oh crap should i technically try and be responsible for you or something?’
And Jax looks enough like her mother that Hancock basically worked it out on sight. Jax’s biological father (Patrick) actually comes from Far Harbour they haven’t got a very strong relationship owing on account of them not really seeing each other very often but it’s cordial enough (And I did have this whole thing planned where they do meet during the events of Far Harbour) Jax was raised by her mother and her two partners Bonnie and Mary and her ‘Ghoulmother’ and I think sort of grew up as part of a commune type set up.
And yeah that’s just about everything I can remember about Jax at this given moment. Fun fact i actually created her as an oc before making her in game and her in cane appearance is basically what I'm drawn
Also she's ace

Multipart Commission work -Harry Hook x reader - A Prince Behind the Pirate - part 11 - resolve
@musicarose
=
You felt a few tears slip down our cheeks as you stared up at the white sterile ceiling, you attempted to sit up but cried out as your chest flared in pain.
“Harry” you sobbed, covering your mouth and letting it all out, hiccuping and tears starting to soak your pillow
“(y/n)-(y/n) you’re awake!” your sister's voice interrupted your little pity party, rushing to your side and cupping your face “(y/n)-wait what's wrong!? Is it your wound, ill get-“
“no-no” you sniffed, whipping your cheeks and shaking your head. “I just….i found him and-” you sobbed, unable to finish your sentence.
Audrey shushed you and wiped some more tears off your face “you mean dream boy? You found him?” you nodded.
“yeah, on the isle” a hiccup ripped from your throat, Audreys shoulders slumped and she did her best to hug you without hurting you.
“oh (nickname)” she cooed “im sorry” you shook your head and curled into her side, ignoring the pain in your chest.
=
“So what's his name” almost an hour later, you had finally calmed down enough to talk normally. So now Audrey sat at your side and munched on some chips, letting you talk about your experience on the isle.
“his name is Harry and….hes the son of captain hook?” you winced, expecting Audrey to freak, but to your surprise, she smiled.
“oh! At least you know he can shove a sword up anybody's butt if they mess with you” she chirped.
You frowned, glaring at her suspiciously “ya know, I thought you would be more….advert to an isle kid being dream boy”
“well,” she sighed “there's a difference, the universe chose Harry for you, so it means that you’re meant for each other, I can't do anything about it” you gave her a soft smile.
“thanks Aud” she grinned and kissed your forehead.
“no prob, I got your back”
“and I got yours”
=
It took you two months to fully heal from the gunshot wound, you were unable to do much else other than convincing Ben to continue the sending of proper supplies to the isle.
Thankfully with his own experience on the isle, and your further explanation of what happened there, he appointed you in charge of isle affairs.
It was stressful but worth it, being able to know EXACTLY what was being sent to the isle. Things like rotten food and old grody trash had been rerouted to an actual trash site.
You were also campaigning for the next group of vks to be brought over, but the council was being stubborn and ignorant against the children of villains.
Your grandmother being one of them, she hardly believed you when you said you found dream boy on the isle, refusing to listen to your sister or parents who defended Harry when she insulted the fact that a vk wasn’t “good enough” for you.
She was pushing for an arranged marriage with Ariel's and Erics son, which you ranted about to Audrey….and Harry.
“shes just…ARUGH! Shes being delusional about you, saying that “you’re dangerous” and “you'll corrupt our kingdom” Harry snorted, picking at the dream grass below him.
“she sounds like a nutter” he chuckled, reaching out and grabbing your hand, tugging you into his lap.
“she is” you groaned, leaning on his shoulder and pouting “shes one of the most controlling people in my life, and because she didn’t get to raise my mom she feels like she has the authority to raise me and Aud completely! Like-she doesn’t allow my mom and dad to parent us, when Audrey and I would get into trouble as kids, or anything else, and they would try to talk to us about it or discipline us, she would yell at them and crap” harry hummed, rubbing your back and letting you rant.
“I just-gosh I can't wait until I turn 18 and can just….not care about her anymore, hell, run away with you even” you grumbled, letting your head fall back, seeing harry smile and shake his head at you.
“lass, who knows if ill be off the isle by then” he muttered sadly. You sat up, pointing your finger in his face.
“yes you will, I will get more vks off the isle, I swear by it” harry snorted and shook his head.
“yeh may be the ambassador for the isle but only beasty boy can get more of us off love” he sighed, cupping your chin and rubbing his thumb on your cheek.
“then ill overthrow him and get you all off” you snorted, harry burst into laughter, shaking his head.
“and ill support yeh in that” he chuckled, leaning back on the grass and looking up at the pink sky.
You both sat in silence for a few moments, before you decided to break it “im glad this didn’t disappear” you muttered, looking around the dream world you and harry inhabited.
“aye” he hummed, looking up at the cherry tree hanging overhead. “im guessing Auradon looks like this?”
“Yeah, pretty much, minus the permanently pink sky” you giggled, falling back to lay next to harry.
He stretched his arm out to let you use it as a pillow, turning to lay on his side and look at you.
He was happy you were back in Auradon, safe and away from the villans of the isle who would take advantage of you.
It didn’t mean he didn’t miss you but….it was better for you in auradon.
“I cant wait to see you again” you whispered, looking into his eyes, a soft sad smile on your face.
“yer seeing me righ’ now” he laughed, pausing as you reached out and cupped his cheek.
“I mean in Auradon, when you come here” harry sighed, closing his eyes and leaning into your hand.
“yeah….ill see yeh in auradon” he murmured, eyes snapping open as you shuffled closer to him.
Your breathing stopped, lips inches away from his, his ocean blue eyes staring back into your (e/c) ones.
“kiss me” you whispered, Harrys eyes widened for a moment before his arm wrapped around you and pulled you closer, lips crashing into yours.
It was like a nuke exploded in your chest, the shocks vibrating down your limbs and electricity running through your lips.
Harry let out a low hum, rolling onto his back and pulling you onto his chest. You let out a little squeak, separating from him for a moment.
you looked down, giggling as harry pouted at you “nooo, come back” he muttered, tugging at your dress.
You sighed, watching as the world brightened around you “but we’re about to wake up” your shoulders slumped, letting your head fall, your chin hitting Harry's chest.
“one more?” he pleaded, sitting up and tilting his head in that adorable way.
You snorted and nodded, pressing one last kiss to his lips.
“mmm thank yeh,” he murmured against your lips, pulling away and pressing multiple kisses across your face, smiling against your cheek as you laughed.
“ill see you soon harry” you hummed, closing your eyes and wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight hug.
“ill see yeh soon meh bonnie lass”
=
You yawned as you woke up, scrunching your face as the sunlight hit your face.
“im up im up” you groaned, wincing as you stretched your lower chest. “ow” you hopped out of bed and looked out the window, a sad smile growing on your face as you saw the isle across the sea, spotting the lost revenge at pirates bay.
“I promise Harry” you muttered, wishing for the wind to carry your words to him “that you will sail the seven seas with me one day”

Klaroline Fic Rec - Day Seven
Klaroline Fic Rec Event 2020 - Day 7: Free For All Title: The Birth and Death of the Day Author: @little-miss-sunny-daisy Summary: AU. The Forbes-Winchester family takes on the Apocalypse. Warnings: Angst that will make you weep like a angel. Some NSFW scenes that will have you heading for a cold shower. Status: READ MY LIPS: COMPLETE!!!
Why you should read it:
I have lost count of how many posts I've made about this fic before, and I swore to myself that I would only rec stories that I hadn't previously written about, but seeing as this one has been gloriously COMPLETED, I think I have to.
When I started reading The Birth and Death of the Day, it was sitting on a six years hiatus. I did not expect to ever see it being completed, and that was FINE, because I had such a great time reading it that I was just happy to have found it. Guys... You don't know the emotions I felt reading the final two chapters! SUCH MIXED FEELINGS! I was so happy to see that The End there, but so sad to say goodbye (spoiler: THERE WILL BE SEQUELS! 🙌).
Birth (I can call it Birth, right? Me and this fic, we're like close friends now) is SUCH a wild journey. I came for the Klaroline factor, I stayed fo SO much more. In the end, even though the KC here is delicious, this isn't a KC fic. It's a story about Caroline, first and foremost. And it's an incredible to ride to be with her on it as she goes through so many transformations, figuring herself out through family bonds, tragedy, friendship and - yes, insane amounts of mind-blowing sex with my boy Klausy.
You absolutely do not need to have watched or even understand a single thing about Supernatural in order to read this. I didn't. I know the main characters' faces and that's pretty much it. What @little-miss-sunny-daisy does here in building up this world where Supernatural and TVD clash is BRILLIANT. I found myself caring deeply for characters that were one notch beyond OCs. Caroline's relationship with her big brothers is so sweet and so heartwarming. Sam and Dean are completely different, but both of them are fantastic on their roles as protective big step-bros. And Dean! Holy crap! Final chapters!Dean is like MY FAVORITE! I was SCREAMING with certain scenes and certain conversations here. I cannot sing enough praise to how much I loved all this. Also kudos to Castiel and Gabriel! lol Every time they showed it was guaranteed awesomeness. 👌
I cannot put into words how much I love Caroline here. She is every bit the Caroline I love and worship in my heart (but that canon unfortunately tore apart after season 5). She is strong and brave and very much her own, independent person, but not without her vulnerabilities and insecurities, which is inherent to someone her age. ALSO! This story has a fantastic depiction of female friendship between Caroline, Bonnie and Elena which I love TO BITS! 💜💜
And Klaus. HOLY MOTHER OF SWEET BABY JESUS, Klaus. He's a psycho, he's dangerous, he's short-fused, he's unpredictable. He's the Original Hybrid and you should FEAR him. He blows up and SHIT HAPPENS. But he's so, so soft for Caroline and there are some moments here that legit had me SWOONING and if this is not how Klaus is absolutely MEANT TO BE then I REFUTE IT! The final chapters have some RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING moments of Klausy losing his shit, which is, honestly, all that I'm here for.
@little-miss-sunny-daisy does a brilliant job of addressing trauma and grief and loss here. There are lots of angsty moments, but they are powerful, they pack a real punch and the process of healing is so thoughtful and so delicate. I love that things aren't just brushed away like breadcrumbs and suddenly everyone is moving on. Some of my favorites moments were precisely thos hurt/comfort bits that had characters addressing their pain and seeking refuge.
Other than that, it's beautiful, poetic and powerful writing, with amazing dialogue, full of banter and wittiness and perfect character voices, and absolutely delicious interactions in a well-crafted plotty AU world full of angels and devils and demons (not to mention vampires and hybrids). It's one of the best ever universes I've read and I am a total fan. This story is one of by absolute all-time favorites and I just know that I will be coming back to read it again over and over. @little-miss-sunny-daisy has the kind of talent for writing that makes you inspired. It's brilliant.
Thank you so much for finishing this! 💜💜 We owe you forever!

Top 20 BEST Animated Series of the 2010s-1st Place!
And now.
For real this time.
What is hands down.
The Best.
Animated series.
In the 2010s.
Is…
(Pause for dramatic affect)
#1-Adventure Time (2010-2018)
I mean...what else?
The Plot: The magical land of Ooo has many things: A kingdom made of candy, a sociopathic Ice King, and even a self-proclaimed Vampire Queen. Amongst all this chaos are two adventures: A human boy named Finn, the Human, and his magical dog/best friend/adopted brother (yes, really) named Jake, the Dog. These two then go on adventure after adventure, facing against the many oddities that the Land of Ooo offers. What type of dangers? Well...you’re just going to have to watch the show to find out.
Before I start praising the crap out of this show, there’s one thing I want to get off my chest. You see, I hate Top X lists that always end with “the one that started it all.” It comes across as lazy because there is no way the first story tops every other one after it. Case in point: when looking at the best episodes of your favorite shows, how often do you see the first episode making the top ten, hell, even the top five? Not often, I bet. And sure, you can make the argument that “Without X, there wouldn’t have been Y,” but is that even a fair comparison? Sure, Disney wouldn’t have been as big as it is now without Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs being a success, but does that make it right to ignore great movies like Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), and The Lion King (1994)? Sure, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope is the reason why fans love to hate Star Wars in the first place, but how often do you hear people saying Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is the best of the franchise. And sure, the Marvel Cinematic Universe wouldn’t have existed without Iron Man being a box office hit, but with movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, can you really say Iron Man is the best in the franchise anymore? To me personally, if you’re going to pick “the one that started it all,” then it better be something that can outshine “it all.” This is why I chose Adventure Time as the best-animated series of the 2010s. Not because it’s a show that practically sparked the existence of almost every show on this list, but because it really is that good of a series. Unfortunately, with a series that really is that good, there will be people who try to pick it apart. This is why I’m going to do my best to defend against some criticism that Adventure Time seems to face.
The first criticism I want to talk about is one that hasn’t even occurred to me until I watched JelloApocalypse's video called, “So This is Basically Adventure Time.” In that video, I realized that Adventure Time doesn’t really have a proper storytelling structure. Hell, most episodes don’t even have a conclusion. They just stop almost randomly. But there’s a remedy to this problem, and it's one that I discovered somewhat effortlessly during my rewatch of the show. And that solution is to stop looking at Adventure Time as a series of episodes and more of a series of experiences. What do I mean by that? Well, while watching, you can either have a good experience or a bad experience. A fun experience, or a depressing experience. A philosophically brilliant experience or a randomly stupid experience. All of which can happen separately or conjoined in every episode. Personally, I like this style of storytelling because I’m more likely to remember the experience of watching something rather than the basics of what is being viewed. However, as JelloApocalypse has proven, not everyone is going to be ok with this style. This is fine, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just remember that if it doesn’t work for you, that doesn’t mean it won't work at all. Case in point: there’s a reason that this show got ten seasons.
However, with those ten seasons come the inevitable seasonal rot. Which, in this case, can easily be explained. Halfway through season five of Adventure Time, series creator Pendelton Ward left and made Adam Muto the head showrunner. And where Ward’s style relied on being random and hilarious, Muto took the series in a more philosophical direction. Several fans were turned away from this aspect, but I like to argue that this isn’t seasonal rot and more of a series’ development. Tons of shows on this list went through their own transitions, some subtle and some drastic. Whether or not you’ll be ok with those decisions is entirely dependent on who you are. And personally, I actually enjoyed the direction that Adventure Time took. While I was entertained by how hilarious the original seasons were in Ward’s run, Muto caused me to think more intensely than any other show I have seen in my life. This is why, once again, I would like to point out that just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean that it won’t work at all.
But one thing that didn’t work for me, and one criticism that I’m inclined to agree with, were how some characters got treated in later seasons. Now to be fair, most of the characters actually become more interesting as the series goes on (Ice King, Marceline, BMO, Susan Strong, etc.) There are just two characters that got a little iffier compared to others: Finn and Princess Bubblegum. The main reason why Finn’s character seemed to fail is that the writers focused more on Finn's love life (or lack thereof). I genuinely believe that Adventure Time has some fantastic romantic relationships, but that aspect of Finn’s character is easily the most uninteresting. It’s even worse when an episode focuses on his armorous hangups through past...mistakes. I even heard that this decision ruined Finn as a character for some people, which I can totally see why. Luckily the show course-corrected itself, and by season six, it started focussing on an aspect of Finn’s character that is actually interesting: His family. Not to give away any spoilers, but let’s just say that Finn gets significantly more fascinating through this decision. Unfortunately, one decision that never got better was how the show treated the one and only Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum. This character started off as a gentle/playful ruler who was as sweet as her kingdom. Only to evolve into a sociopathic control freak who is obsessed with science. What went wrong is that the show goes so far as to say that she’s always been that way, even since she was a kid. I guess she just was good at hiding it in early seasons. Once again, the writers try their best to course-correct Bubblegum, but all they did was make her bearable than despicable.
But while Bonnie doesn't work for me, do you want to know what does? Literally everything else about this show. One of the reasons why Adventure Time is the best series on this list is because it has elements of every other show that has already been mentioned before it. You see, Adventure Time can have: Hilarious comedy, intense action, superb animation, creative ideas, compelling drama, catchy music, thought-provoking stories, good romantic subplots, gay romantic subplots, great lore and backstory, intriguing mysteries, and, most important of all, bacon pancakes. All of which can be handled in ten to eleven minutes, where most shows struggle within twenty-two.
But one element that stands out among the rest is Adventure Time’s serialized storytelling. You see, there are two different types of storytelling: Plotting and pantsing. Plotting is how it sounds: You come up with ideas beforehand and work your way into making them come to life. Pantsing is where the goal is to basically make things up as you go along and try to make everything connected afterward. The ladder is the route Adventure Time takes. Every single amount of lore, character development, and even surprise twists were thought up almost on the spot. And one might think that this makes things more complicated, but when I rewatched the series in 2019, a solid 99.9% of what’s written lines up. Sure, there are small things that get confusing or downright forgotten. But that’s the keyword: small. It’s the big things that the writers try their best at explaining away, which can be much appreciated. And while I can love a show for creating a well-crafted story, I got to give Adventure Time respect for doing the same thing just by improvising. But do you want to know the real reason why I stuck with this show? And why do all the elements mentioned before manage to work so well? The same reason why any show can work so well: The characters.
And yes, I know I just complained about how certain characters were nearly ruined in this series, but that doesn’t change how good they are. Almost every character that the show focuses on has a level of intrigue to them, and characters that don’t still manage to be incredibly entertaining, to the point where a worm’s butt can carry an episode by itself (Yes. Really). But nothing beats the central duo, and I’m being honest when I say they make the series enjoyable. Finn and Jake not only have such an entertaining brotherly dynamic, but the two of them are just so much fun that I can’t help but smile whenever they’re on screen. They’re easily the best thing about the show, as well as the most entertaining characters in it. This is saying something because Adventure Time has a LOT of characters. One might say too many. In fact, one could argue that Adventure Time suffers from the too-many-characters syndrome, which I can absolutely see. However, every character is so unique and creative that to this day, I still remember the Tree Witch in the episode “To Cut a Woman’s Hair.” From her voice to her design to even Tree Witch's creative and hilarious way to convince Finn to get her some princess's hair.
This brings me to another great thing about the show: Its endless amount of creativity. Everything that Adventure Time does is something you will never see anywhere else. From all the unique ways the show has Jake use his stretchy powers, to also having a vampire drink the color red instead of blood, Adventure Time is always a show that leaves me scratching my head wondering, “Why hasn’t someone else done this before?” And the best part is, no other show can do the ideas that Adventure Time has had. Because there is no way of doing it without coming across as a carbon copy. Which I can appreciate. Believe it or not, I would rather see an idea done once and never again, rather than repeated to the point where it becomes stale. Letting Adventure Time keep its creativity helps the show stand out among the rest and prevents it from being forgotten through time.
Thus, we come to the real reason why Adventure Time is the best-animated series on this list: Memorability. When doing a rewatch of the series, I was surprised by how many episodes I somehow remember. In fact, out of over two hundred episodes, I only manage to forget one (which coincidentally managed to be an episode I hate). I honestly don’t know why so many episodes managed to stick with me. Maybe because the show is so creative that it’s hard to forget. It's probably because the characters are instant icons that their impact just won’t leave me. Hell, perhaps it’s because the show is so gosh dang weird that my brain refuses to forget a second of it. No matter what the reason is, it all still stuck. And I’m not going to lie, I feel as though there are going to be a lot of shows I'll forget over the years. But ten years from now, something tells me I’m never going to forget Adventure Time.
Now that I think about it, there really have been many great cartoons over the previous decade. And we owe it all to Adventure Time. The act of being unique and creative with one’s ideas came from Adventure Time. The idea of being more mature and deciding what should and shouldn’t be for kids came from Adventure Time. The fact that a show needs well-written characters to tell a great story came from Adventure Time. Even certain shows were made because creators worked on Adventure Time (looking at you, Steven Universe). Is the show perfect? No. Far from it, even. But when looking back at the many great series we’ve gotten in the 2010s and the many great shows we’ll get in years to come, I realize that the fun will never end WITH Adventure Time.
(Especially since we’re still getting it with four hour long specials on HBOmax)
