hey i was scrolling through ur tumblr (bc ur art an au's are cool :D) and I was wondering if twins are common in Benrey's species? bc you have the m&ms and nene + nana (i'm assuming they're twins? could be wrong) and it could be a coincidence but i was just wondering ur thoughts on it (also i think u said benrey had 18 siblings at one point? could be misremembering but yeah more twins= more kids n all) :P

And you were correct about twins being common (like Margaux and Margot) however Nana n’ Nene are a girlfriend duo and aren’t sisters :)

twins are more common due to his species biology and high reproductive rates, kinda like rabbits (they don’t like that comparison though)

They’re more likely to be psychically linked and more in sync with their emotions and thoughts but will more often than not differ in abilities but will usually benefit eachother (ex: Margot is excellent at shapeshifting/ standing out and Margaux is skilled with her intangibility/ stealth). It’s thought that twins were once one being that split itself in two when taking form, hence the balanced similarities and differences. :)) and it’s not just common for twins- triplets and so on are also more common.

And Ben has 17 siblings (18 altogether, that includes Ben) but surprisingly none are twins. Or triplets! Some are closer in age than others but yeah, no twins.

Edit 6/10/2024 : I take back the last statement. He does have twin siblings, Marley and Neo.
