I like how Benrey doesn't get an ethnicity/race HC. Why do you think G-Man and Tommy are Filipinian?

I literally dont know what features I would even GIVE benrey. hes just benrey!!

and i'll be honest half the reason I decided I'd give them filo features is because my girlfriend is fillipino and she really likes coolatta fam. so i was like hell yea girl let's make them your rep !!

but it's also because i think the features go very well with how i draw them anyways, like making g-man's pallette generally darker & giving me more opportunity to highlight wrinkles without it looking odd in my style, and making tommy's tie stand out less in contrast to his otherwise light outfit (which, by the way, i also love how coolatta fam in hlvrai canon has a light/dark contrast. i think its neat!)

To make things sadder on this, in the ‘AU’, Doc gets kinda close with Benrey (hlvrai benrey, the ‘normal’ one).

One of the days before the Kittle’s test, he gets super stressed and overwhelmed and Benrey comforts him in his room. They sit together and Doc pets on Benrey like a cat while singing/humming the song Forzen sung to him.

Benrey recognizes that it’s something he does to calm himself, and notices it right before the reveal.

When Doc gets up after being called on by Gman possessing Da Boss, Benrey is noticeably hurt and even stops struggling to get free from Kittle (who has him pinned under his foot).

“I’m.. I’m sorry, friend. I’d do anything to get my family back… it’s just.. it’s just not the same.” He sounded solemn, guilty even, despite the smile on his face.

“B-bro! Temp fam man- we coulda- we could’ve been the BEST fam! I.. I thought you were mine anyway..” (Benrey gives up on fighting against Kittle) “Don’t go bro”

Doc doesn’t answer, humming softly to himself as he follows Da Boss and Freeman to the airlock. He locks eyes with Loverboy right as he steps in, then gazing back to everyone else. “Sorry, Kid.”

In the small 'au' me and my partner have, I have Doc reminiscing a lot about Forzen, especially after the rest of his family was taken from him.

Every time Doc would get stressed he'd hum/sing a song to himself that Forzen taught him/would sing to him when he'd get overwhelmed (its also in french).

He especially sings it right before he gets outed as the traitor.

I love it so much, man misses his ex when he has no one left.

As for the song being sung I like to imagine it's probably Mon Amour Mon Ami, or something the same vibe. Something slow and sweet.

Anyway that's enough of my rambling for now :]
