Canon Divergence Notes: There is no Rey. Finn is the destined Jedi, and he leaves the scar on Ren’s face during the climactic fight on Starkiller Base. The only original canon kept after TFA is the destined Jedi (Finn) leaving to find Luke and Snoke pushing Kylo Ren to the breaking point, continuing the student-kills-the-master cycle. Summary: No Rey. Finn is training to be a Jedi. Kylo Ren takes the throne from Snoke.
This chapter is the only pre-TFA part of the story. Everything after that is in the AU as described.
A/N: Holy shit, I'm having so much fun with this. You all have no idea (but you will soon). Out here crafting whole-ass mythologies and cultures for this shit. Literally forgot to post this first chapter because I'm neck-deep in the next. Please, please, please do comment! I post for interactions with friends new and old. Otherwise I'd hoard all my embarrassing stories like the grouchy old dragon I really am.
1.
He needed to maul something.
His lightsaber practically vibrated on his belt, answering the pull of itching hands as Kylo Ren stormed into the planet-side depot. Civilians scattered from their orderly lines in front of the First Order’s regional bureaucratic office, startled like so many kaadus. The system had so little to offer, the Order couldn’t even justify a separate complex for the port authority and notary.
A shabby little base on a barren little world. If he could, he’d sink his saber to the planet’s core and kill it all in one, fell stroke.
What a waste of his time.
The rebel insurgent had nothing. They hunted him to the edge of the First Order’s territory only to discover a dead end whose handful of contacts met the heat of Kylo’s blade long ago. They’d missed something. He’d missed something. Instead of fresh leads into the Resistance’s plans, he would leave empty handed. This detour took weeks, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that their enemies were planning something. But in the end, the only thing the dead Rodian had been good at was hiding. Any trooper could’ve shot the scum and been done with it. No need for the Knights of Ren.
He looked like a fool.
Rage tipped over the edge of reason, flooding logic, and plans, and anything but the dark urge to destroy.
He marched through the door, well ahead of his knights. The stormtroopers were nearly as eager to avoid his wrath as the civilians, and he burst into an empty hall. The faintest conversation reached him, a hum of living Force further inside. He followed it. Down the hall. Around the corner. Gathering fuel to further spark his hate for this place and all the people in it as he approached.
A crisp, core world accent he had no doubt belonged to an officer carried farthest.
“I’m afraid it just won’t do. If you want clearance to leave for Gan Moradir, I’ll need those credits in my hand. Today.”
“You already have them.”
The second voice almost surprised Ren. He could barely feel the speaker’s signature, and he rested his hand on his saber, ready for a battle. No one unskilled in the Force could veil themselves like that.
From the sound of things, he had two valid targets to suffer for his humiliation. With new focus, he prepared to take the last corner, the heat in his blood ready to burn through the traitors and fools ahead.
Just out of sight, the officer tsked. “Not enough, I’m afraid.”
“Do you plan on demanding more every time we visit your system?”
“I could.”
“I’m afraid that will be very bad for trade.”
Ren saw the pair before they saw him. A First Order corporal with his hands clasped behind his back and a sneer on his face stood opposite a civilian girl, both oblivious to their approaching doom.
“Corporal.”
The man practically jumped out of his uniform, eyes bugging wide. The girl barely even flinched, following the officer’s panicked gaze with guarded curiosity. Ren would deal with her after he thinned the ranks. It was important to cut out rot before it spread, after all.
“Lord Ren!” The officer’s voice wavered, nearly breaking like a teenager’s as he took two steps away from the civilian and bowed to his superior. “My apologies. We’d heard your knights may be in the system, but we had no idea you’d actually –”
“What is the First Order’s standing on bribery?” He asked like he didn’t know simply so the criminal would recite his own conviction. Let him know how he’d failed. Let the fear string out his last moment.
The corporal’s mind couldn’t keep pace with his spiking adrenaline. He shifted, eyes darting for an escape, an excuse, as he tried to drag an explanation through his dry mouth.
“Well, I…”
Ren had no mercy. And no patience. His hand clenched over his blade’s hilt, and he imagined he could already feel the subtle vibration as it came to life to end another’s.
“Well?”
The corporal swallowed, and Ren watched the confidence roll away down the man’s throat.
“Soliciting or accepting bribes in any form, be it credits or goods, is a class three offense, sir.” He spoke clearly. Responding to a clear order with clear rules he would’ve learned by rote in training. He knew the consequences for disguising this theft behind the First Order’s banner, and now Ren would reveal a new part of the corporal. Blood. Bone. The messy things he wrapped out of sight beneath his skin.
Ren hummed. A mockery of consideration as he swayed nearer, forcing the smaller man to stare up at a painful angle. Decapitation was too neat for such a selfish little traitor. Maybe he’d sheer away half the man’s chest. Or leave him in a dozen pieces for his command to discover.
“I see.” He stalked forward another step, savoring the building dread like a cool wind beneath his mask. “And what is the punishment for class three offenses?”
The officer’s lingering hopes to put off his superior with a lie – Blame the girl, his mind screamed – finally crumbled. The dread Force-wielder had caught him. He knew enough to damn him. He’d been judged. He’d been sentenced. Only one step remained. Kylo Ren loomed, a Loth cat playing with vermin caught raiding the larder, and his uniform was an invitation to deal justice, not the shield the corporal once believed. He backpedaled, nearly foaming at the mouth as he spluttered a final plea for mercy.
“Lord Ren, please! I merely –!”
Red light and a crackling hum cut him off.
Ren speared the traitor through the belly, letting the fool totter backwards, wheezing for a breath that would never come. The corrupt officer groped over his exposed diaphragm as he tumbled to the floor, and his head met the polished floor with a crack as he continued pointlessly gasping.
It wouldn’t be a quick death.
Satisfied, Ren looked at the second actor in this little scene. She’d barely flinched when he struck down the corporal, but her attention remained fixed on the dying criminal. Ren waited for the inevitable wave of panic, ready to toy with a fresh target, but the life ending at her feet held her gaze. Something about her blunted his senses, and he struggled to pry into her mind beyond what she projected: caution and studied calm.
Maybe it was shock. Or maybe she needed reminding of her own mortality.
Ren cut off the corporal’s death rattle with a stroke of his saber, and as the head rolled across the hall, the girl finally looked up to meet his gaze. He glowered back through his visor, itching for her reaction.
She bowed. Maintaining the poise of a diplomat who hadn’t just witnessed a brutal execution, she dipped at the knees, dropping her eyes in polite deference before rising to meet him all over again. Still as a lake.
His lightsaber hissed, twisting in his grip. He pointed it under her chin, demanding she answer every question he hadn’t asked.
“You.” He didn’t bother with the show he’d put on for the corporal. Her careful placidity irritated him, and it felt like her very presence muted his senses when he hunted for her fear.
He looked again, noting the grey stone pendant and loops of beads she wore. A memory teased the edge of his lingering rage, dragging his focus away from his quest for bloodshed. He’d seen that material before. He recognized the numbing sensation in the Force from a failed project to build better restraints for Force sensitive prisoners. “What is that?”
Her fingers rose to the pendant, brushing over an unfamiliar pattern of engraved stars.
“It’s Selenubis, sir.” She paused, flicking her gaze over his mask like she might find a clue to his expression. When he didn’t answer, she pushed ahead. “A traditional protection charm from Lethe. If it’s offensive to the First Order I can come again with out it…?”
Behind his mask, he ground his teeth, clawing against the foggy wall so few of her thoughts penetrated. Selenubis proved useless to the First Order when it became clear the stone did as much to shield a prisoner from other Force users as it did to shackle the target.
She wanted to return without her shield? She wouldn’t leave with it. He’d hack it off her neck, and if he didn’t like what he found in her head, she wouldn’t leave with that, either.
His flickering saber reflected in her eyes as he angled it up, forcing her to expose her throat as red lightning reflected in bottomless reservoirs of control. He didn’t believe for a second she was ignorant of the power in her little trinkets and beads.
Just as he prepared to cleave through her jewelry – and likely leave a deep burn to remember him by – one of his knights burst into the hall.
“Commander. The Supreme Leader requests your presence. Immediately, sir.”
His foiled rage rebounded, arcing like a current through his bones and burning him with his own intent as he growled in frustration. The sound hissed through his modulator.
This would have to wait.
Deactivating his saber, he stepped back, pivoted on his heel, and marched back the way he came. He would have to relive his humiliation at his master’s feet, and there was no time to vent his frustrations.
He left no orders in his rush to answer his master’s summons. No one held the girl or even took special note of her name and business as he knelt before Snoke’s projected image, and by the time he returned to the hall, she was gone.
The documentation the dead corporal had been withholding, a pile on the floor by his headless corpse, had gone with her.

There was a hesitancy in Finn when it came to asking for things from people, but Rey - bless the Jedi's heart - had sensed the inquiry in her best friend and asked Leia instead. So as the rebels all worked together to settle into their new home for a bit, Rey had informed Finn that rooms were being paired off and she'd gotten approval from General Organa to notify him that he would be bunking with Poe. The former trooper had been relieved and excited all at once, and had tracked down a particular droid and found Poe outside, BB at his side as he joined the pilot, leaning to kiss his lover's cheek. "So I have great news in advance." He mused, tucking a hand in his pocket. "I won't have to trade with anyone to stay with you at night."

Finn opened his mouth, but closed it again. "I don't know, actually. I just can't handle being around everyone today." Poe was the only one he'd told about his anxiety over his past, and he licked his lips as he looked down. "It's just not a good day, y'know?" He asked. When BB bumped into him, he reached to pat the droid. "I just want to spend some time with my favorite person and droid away from everyone else."
themusechronicles‌:
Finn sometimes had trouble being around others of the rebellion. Most of them weren’t aware of how he come to join their ranks, and he preferred it that way. He wouldn’t be able to handle it if someone tried to say he was some kind of spy to those murderers. The worry that they would turn on him made it impossible to just be around them all day sometimes, and he needed to get away before he lost his mind. He’d gone looking for Poe, and upon hearing he was down with the ships, he headed in that direction. BB8 chimed at him as he got close, and he knew Poe was indeed nearby because the droid rarely left Poe’s side. Hearing the voice of the one person who could bring his head back in place, he relaxed visibly as he approached the x-wing and Poe was there. He reached up to run a hand through his boyfriend’s hair, smiling just the tiniest bit. “I was coming to find you. Didn’t want to be cooped up today.” He replied, knowing Poe would understand.
         Poe gave BB a quick pat on the head as he listened to Finn speak, smiling softly and nuzzling into his hand just a little. Listen…Poe lived and thrived for touches like that, thank you. “Well, where do you wanna go, handsome? As a pilot, I can take you pretty much anywhere, so long as the General doesn’t know that I’m going off base. Just let me know how I can help.” See? Poe was a perfect boyfriend, thank you.

2. The Blizzard Hits
Part 2 of 4 of the Winter Storm Warning Series
Summary: You and Poe have been captured by First Order forces. You both have to come to terms with what that means.
Notes: Hello! Here's the second chapter in this little series. I have officially decided that this is going to be four chapters long, so we're halfway done already! I’m not really expecting too many people to read this series until the smut in the fourth chapter lol, but I still think that the buildup is very important! There is an interrogation scene in this one, but I don't think it's overly graphic or anything, so hopefully it should be okay! Hope you enjoy! You can read the first chapter of this series here, the third here, and the fourth here. (use of she/her pronouns in future chapters, no y/n)
Warnings: angst, interrogation with a broken nose, a little blood
WC: 2k

There were three you realized when you came to.
The first was that it was almost completely dark.
The room these troopers chose to keep you in had no windows. The door blocked out most of the light, except for a small sliver at the very bottom. If you had to guess, this room was most likely a storage closet of some kind while the base was in use.
The second was that you were freezing.
This wasn’t too unbelievable given that you were on Hoth, but you would think that if you were inside, there would be some kind of heating system. Perhaps it was broken. Or maybe the troopers were just too dumb to figure it out.
The third is that you were chained to the wall.
The cold metal was clasped around your ankle, tethering you in place. You didn’t like that very much, of course. You wanted to at least be able to inspect the room that you were in. And since your wrists were chained together, it would be difficult for you to break free. You wouldn’t think that the rebels of old were cruel enough to chain their prisoners to the wall, so the troopers probably brought them in here just for you. How special.
Though you couldn’t see him, you assumed that you were being held in the same room as Poe. When you listened harder, you could barely make out the sounds of his breathing. Judging by how quiet it was, you guessed that he was still knocked out. Worry coursed through your veins. You didn’t know how long you were in here, but you knew it had to have been at least half an hour. That’s an awfully long time to be passed out. But your worry soon dissipated when you heard him groan.
“What the hell?” he muttered, and you heard his chains rattle, presumably to rub at his eyes, “where are we?”
“I don’t know. It’s too dark to see anything. But I assume that we’re in some sort of old storage closet,” you replied.
You heard him try to get up and curse when he realized that he couldn’t, “Well, this isn’t ideal.”
All at once, you remembered the chain of events that had landed you here. His recklessness and inability to listen had landed you both here. Despite that pitch blackness before your eyes, you were seeing red.
“Clearly,” you scoffed, “and this situation could’ve been avoided.”
“No, it couldn’t,” he argued, “no matter what, we would’ve been running into this many people.”
“Yes, it could’ve,” you growled, knowing that you were right, “if we had formulated a plan, we could’ve taken them out. The two of us together would’ve been more than skilled enough to pull it off. But of course, you just had to be reckless. You’re so fucking headstrong, even when it’s at your detriment. Maybe in the past, you’ve just made up your plans on the fly, but that doesn’t work in situations like this. You’d think as a commander, you’d know that. This was your fault, Dameron. You’re the reason that we’re stuck here with no way out. So stop trying to deflect responsibility. We both know this could’ve been prevented.”
He fell silent then, and you smirked to yourself. His lack of response meant he knew he was in the wrong. For once in your lives, he acknowledged that you were right. You figured that he’d never admit it out loud, so his silence was good enough for you.
“At any rate,” you began again, “we need to figure out how to get out of here and take these guys out before this base is operational.”
He nodded, “Yeah, we do. There’s no window, and I would assume that the door is guarded, so that’s our first problem.”
“Even if they have weapons, I think we’re both good enough to take them out. We just need to break these chains and somehow get the door open,” you replied.
“If this is just a storage closet, like you think, we’d just have to find something to pick the lock with. Shouldn’t be too difficult,” said Poe.
You agreed, and you were about to tell him so when the lock clicked and the door swung open. The light spilling in from the hallway was a shock to your senses, and your eyes fluttered shut from the intrusion. Once you opened them again, you saw that four figures had walked in. Three were just regular troopers, but one was wearing one of the black officer outfits. She looked you both over, and there was a smirk painted across her face.
“So,” she stated, “I didn’t know we had one of General Organa’s most prized admirals and the best pilot in the Resistance in our presence. I feel honored.”
“You should,” quipped Poe.
You had to physically restrain yourself from rolling your eyes. Now was not the time for this!
The officer chuckled darkly, “You’re lucky I’m not after you today. Bring the admiral to her feet. I have some questions for her.”
Your eyes widened slightly. Getting interrogated was not on your agenda today. One of the troopers stepped forward to unlock the chains around your ankles, and you both took a sharp intake of breath when you were roughly hauled to your feet and shoved out the door. The last thing you saw before leaving was the guilt in Poe’s eyes. Good. This was his fault, after all. Though, you supposed only the getting captured thing was his fault. Not everything that happened after. That could only be blamed on the First Order.
You were dragged through the halls until you were brought out to their main hub of operations, which was the large hangar near the front of the base. You counted about 20 stormtroopers total; two were guarding your door, four were the ones leading you through the halls, three walking through the halls, and the final eleven in the main hangar. You figured that that would be easy enough once you and Poe got ahold of weapons. There was only one other officer, which was good news for you two. You were taken out of your thoughts by being unceremoniously thrown to the ground. The officer and the three troopers who escorted you towered over your kneeling figure.
“So, Admiral,” the officer started, “there are a few things that I really need to know. And you’re going to tell them to me.”
“Like hell I am,” you spat back.
“We’ll see. The first thing that I’d like to know is how you knew we were here.”
You stayed silent.
“Come on now, Admiral, I asked nicely. I won’t do that too many more times,” she coaxed.
“I don’t know,” you told her, almost nonchalantly.
Technically, it wasn’t a total lie. Though you knew that Finn had gotten the information from a traitor, truth be told, you didn’t know exactly who it was. No one did, seeing as they went by a codename. And even if you did know, you wouldn’t throw Finn under the bus, or reveal your source of information.
“Liar!” she barked, raising the butt of her rifle and striking you in the face with it.
You cried out in pain as you felt blood pour from your nose. It was definitely broken. This is why you preferred being in the air; there was much less risk of breaking your bones. You attempted to raise your hands to your nose to help staunch the blood flow, but the cuffs around your wrists prevented you from doing so effectively.
“That’s not the worst you’ll get if you don’t tell me where you got your information from now,” the officer growled.
“Never,” you said through gritted teeth.
She flipped her rifle around so the front was facing you and pressed it against your forehead.
“I don’t have to kill you. But if you don’t tell me, I have no problem disposing of you and moving on to the pilot. So I think you should just let me know who gave you that intel,” she pressed.
“Neither of us will, so stop trying,” you snapped back, “you might as well just kill me now and stop wasting our time.”
“If you say so,” she said, cocking her rifle.
“Not if I can help it,” came a voice from one of the entrances in the hangar.
You all turned to the doorway and there was Poe, with a blaster in each hand. He swiftly shot the officer in front of you. She crumpled to the ground, and you grabbed the rifle from her body. While most of the troopers were distracted with Poe in the doorway, you took out the three troopers near you (which was certainly a struggle with cuffed hands, but you managed). You found a pin on the floor, and used it to pick the cuffs open. With you new blaster rifle, you joined Poe in the scuffle, working in tandem to take out the troopers holding you captive.
When the adrenaline from the fight wore off, the throbbing pain in your nose came back full force, and the blood loss was starting to make you woozy. You sank to the ground against the wall, pinching your nose to try and stop the blood flow. The front of your shirt was starting to stain with red. You’d definitely need to scrub that out later.
“Oh shit, you’re still bleeding! Let me find a med kit,” Poe exclaimed, rushing around the room until he located the medical supplies and sat in front of you.
Poe worked in silence. He did his best to fix the injury, and you think he did pretty well, given that he wasn’t a professional. You’d probably get a healer to look at it once you returned to base, but he stopped the blood flow, which was the most important part.
“Is that better?” he asked softly.
“Yeah, thanks,” you replied.
He shook his head, and the guilt that was in his expression earlier returned, “Don’t thank me. It’s my fault it happened in the first place.”
“That was the First Order’s fault, not yours,” you contested.
“Yes, it was,” he argued, “all of this was my fault. They wouldn’t have hurt you if we hadn’t gotten captured, and that was because of me. I’m sorry. I should’ve listened to you. I shouldn’t have rushed in. It was incredibly reckless, and you suffered because of it. I’m sorry, Admiral. Promise I won’t do that again.”
You were stunned. You didn’t even think he’d admit that this was his fault, let alone apologize for it. And he seemed upset that you were hurt. You honestly didn’t think he’d care. And you also didn’t expect yourself to forgive him so quickly. But you couldn’t help it. The guilt and regret in his eyes told you that he truly was sorry.
“It’s okay. We got out of it, and that’s what matters. One of us should probably contact the general and tell her that we finished the job and that we’re on our way.”
“I will,” he replied, “you rest. You lost a decent bit of blood.”
You nodded, laying your head back against the wall and closing your eyes. You heard him walk away and start talking to Leia, telling her the events that transpired. She congratulated both of you on a job well done, but still told Poe off a little bit for his actions.
You didn’t even realize that you had fallen asleep, but before you knew it, you were gently shaken awake by Poe.
“Sorry to wake you, but I’ve got bad news.”
“W-what is it?” you questioned, stifling a yawn.”
He winced, “The snow storm outside is in full force. The conditions are too bad for either of us to fly in, or even walk out to the ship in. We’ll have to stay here for the night.”
You sighed softly. Even though you wouldn’t say you hated Poe anymore (which was big for you), you still weren’t his biggest fan. So staying alone with him in the base wasn’t the most appealing to you. But going out in that blizzard was a death wish, so stay here you would. This was going to be a long night.

Okay, okay, Star Wars Asks! Is 1 to 10 too much? o_O If so, just choose some that tickle your fancy ;)
*cracks knuckles* Alright here we go!
1. Jedi or Sith? Sith. I know they aren't *good* right? Which they aren’t. I agree with you 100%. I just can’t agree with the “the light is good and the dark is bad” thing. It’s not plausible. No one is perfect. There is good and bad in all of us and the good wouldn’t be nearly as good if we didn’t also appreciate the bad.
2. Rebels or Empire? This is *hard* for me to answer. I think they both genuinely mess up with their ideals. The difference is I'm more likely to sympathize with the Rebels because their leader isn’t Creepy Ass PalpatineTM. However I've seen first hand organizations have the very best intentions end up ruining lives. Small tidbit about myself, I served in the military. I don’t advertise it often because of the climate against the military (which I actually agree with honestly) and it left a really sour taste in my mouth. I joined to help people. Like genuinely help people as a medic. What I ended up seeing was a group of people that adopted the kill or be killed mentality with people they should have been trusting. BUT THIS IS GETTING OFF TOPIC. So, probably Rebels because they aren’t run by a dickhead :)
3. Favorite character from Prequels? This is hard but probably Obi-Wan. He’s a genuinely nice person and cares so much about everyone. He doesn’t do it because he feels like he HAS to, that’s just how he is. Is he sassy? Yes. Is he sarcastic? Also yes. Is he ruggedly handsome and someone I would actually feel safe sleeping around? Also yes. I see no drawbacks here.
4. Favorite character from original trilogy? This is also hard. I’d love to say my man Boba but I wasn’t really interested in him until I got older. I’d have to go with Leia. She showed me at a young age that it’s perfectly acceptable to not take anyones shit. She was the perfect mix of royalty but also punch you in the face if you pissed her off. I loved it. Coming from a girl that was always told that I was just *too much* all the time, seeing a strong woman on my tv who was also *too much* warmed my heart and gave me a lot of confidence to not take anyones shit.
5. Favorite character from the sequel trilogy? Finn. I wasn’t even sure of my answer until I started writing this. Finn saw how corrupt and wrong it was where he was and he left. He risked his life to leave. Did he only save Poe because he was a pilot? Maybe. However, he got out of there and that alone (not even counting how much he did after that) is so courageous and terrifying. Standing up to something that you have been conditioned to obey isn’t cowardly. He was so much braver than the movies ever gave him credit for.
6. Do you have any ships? Hmm. I don’t hate any of the ships. As long as it isn’t like incest or underage stuff obviously. I think StormPilot was there and Disney just stepped on it because people would be angry there was a gay couple.
7. If you could choose any profession to have in the GFFA, what would you be? I honestly think I'd be a senator if given the chance. Other than entirely blowing up the system *looking at you, Hux* there isn’t any other way to create change. Politics are hard but there were good senators in that group that just fell for Palps shit.
8. Weapon of choice? My aim is about as good as a storm trooper so saber. Probably saber staff but I'd need practice because I constantly hit myself with mine haha.
9. What food from Star Wars would you want to try? Oh man. Most of it looks pretty gross to be honest haha. Rey’s ration packs remind me of being stuck in the field. That blue milk makes me want to gag. I think I would eat most things out of necessity but none of it is like “oh wow I need to try that!”
10. Which character do you feel is most like you? Almost every quiz I've taken I've gotten Obi-Wan. I’m the friend that people come to when they need advice or someone to listen. I generally am down for helping out and giving advice (if they want it of course). I’m more likely to try to talk things out than anything else. I’m sassy and sarcastic but truth is I'm hurt most often because of how much I care about people. It doesn’t stop me though. I’ll continue to care and take care of people probably until the day I leave this earth.

So I love time travel, and Finn/Poe, so maybe Finn/Poe in the clone wars?
Thank you for this prompt! I found it very interesting. I would like to preface this by apologising. I have sought of run away with this. This is mostly set up but it is just the first chapter. Tell me if you want me to do more.
----
Poe knew that touching the stone was a stupid decision.
Really, even as he was reaching out to touch the weirdly carved symbol on the large stone jutting out into the room, he was telling himself not to do it.
In his defence, Luke had told all of them that Finn and Rey weren't allowed to touch anything weirdly carved  in the Temple. He hadn't said anything about Poe.
It was a simple mission; the simplest one he'd ever had. Go into the weird old Jedi Temple. Take a few holos. Go home.
Really, it was just to get them off base and doing something; a distraction.
Chewie hadn't been adjusting well to Solo's death. Even eight months later, he growled at everyone except Rey, General Leia and Finn, at the drop of a hat.
Rey was on edge from Luke's not-really training (and, really, Poe could sympathise with her. It must have been hard being assigned to sit alone in a forest for hours instead of learning how to fight when every time they stepped onto a battlefield, their comrades were dying in droves.) Though, Luke's refusal to train her hadn't stopped Rey from learning a bunch of battle changing tricks herself.
Plus, she and Jessika had been spending much of their spare time looking for information on Rey's parents. From what Poe had heard the last news hadn't been good. The two had been planning on going on a trip back to Jakku when they got a chance. That was until…
Well that was just another reason they were stuck with this assignment wasn't it?
Finn was still reeling from the debacle at the last Temple they had been sent to investigate. Him and Rey had activated something that had caused both of them to glow as they were thrown into a Force Vision which had apparently helped reveal him as Force Sensitive.
As soon as he'd gotten back to base, he'd been set off on similar exercises to Rey, but they'd all seen how Luke seemed to pay extra attention to him. Poe had been part of more than one late night invasion of the training rooms where both of them had passed the Skywalker lightsaber back and forth, attempting to follow the katas written out in one of the books that Rey had pilfered from the Temple they'd been in.
And Poe? Well Poe was just tired. They all were really.
The last world the First Order had invaded was Yavin 4. His father hadn't survived.
He didn't know how much longer he could take it. How much longer they could all take it.
They were losing. They all knew it. More and more Republic planets were siding with the First Order, their leaders choosing to bow and save themselves the expenses rather than fight. Their funds were waning, and they were losing too many people. Every battle, every retrieval, hell, every relief mission, was turning into a disaster. More than half their fighters were refugees.
Every day, they got news of the First Order progressing, or Rey and Finn would feel the pulse of another Force User dying, the last remnants of the Jedi Order being eradicated as the First Order and the Knights of Ren spread their influence throughout the galaxy.
Soon, there would be nothing left but darkness.
So, yeah, Poe kind of needed the break.
"You should take it!"
"Luke would want you to have it."
"You're better with it! You've had more practice."
"You already have better control than me."
"That is not true."
Poe shared an eye roll with Chewie as BB-8 trilled in annoyance.
This was a familiar back and forth that Rey and Finn had been having over the last few missions. Neither of them wanted to take the Skywalker lightsaber with them.
It would be funny watching two supposed Jedi fighting over who should not have a lightsaber, if it wasn't so irritating.
"I'm better with a blaster!"
"Well, I'm better with my staff and that's a melee weapon, so I'm already covered in close combat."
Finn faltered at that argument, taking a second to search for something to combat that leap in logic whilst Rey waited with a raised eyebrow. Poe huffed and strode forward, closing Finn's hand around the saber.
"Come on, Finn. Rey's more stubborn than you. And she won the argument. Let's just get this over with."
Finn huffed. "She's far more powerful than me - you saw what she did on Dandoran. She should have the lightsaber."
Rey scowled. "You're the better Jedi. You have better control. Luke's going to formally claim you as his padawan any day now. He's been showing you katas four times a week for almost a month."
"You've learnt more than me on your own. You're the better Jedi."
"Luke thinks I'm a ticking time bomb and he's right. They're just hoping I blow up in the Order's faces not their own."
With that, she strode into the temple, Chewie lumbering on behind her with BB-8 trailing behind with a few sad beeps.
Finn sighed and Poe bumped their shoulders, threading the fingers of their free hands together.
"Give her time. She's still recovering from..."
Finn swallowed. "I know. But she didn't lose control. I felt it. She didn't go dark. She reined herself in and got the job done."
Poe squeezed his partner's hand. "Dandoran was… a mess. And what she did was amazing. But I get why it scared her."
Finn frowned and shrugged, making to walk off after Chewie, BB-8 and Rey, but Poe tugged him back.
"Do you know who else was amazing on Dandoran? You were. Cutting the wing off a TIE fighter mid-air and not dying from the fall was incredibly hot."
With how close they were, Poe could see the way the praise made his partner's cheeks heat up and Finn smiled into the quick kiss they shared before they followed the rest of their team inside.
Their argument ended up being moot, because in the third room they entered, Rey summoned an object to her hand, obviously sensing something weird with it.
Finn hummed in interest when he saw the saber. It's hilt was much longer than the Skywalker saber's and when Rey held it in both her hands, a blade emitted from each end, one a pale blue and one gold.
She gasped swinging the blade through the air before her eyes widened, as she twisted her hands and the saber came apart into two.
"I didn't even know you could make sabers like this," she whispered, powering down the sabers so that she could test the mechanism locking them together without risk of burning herself.
She closed her eyes and grew very still for a few moments before she came back to herself with a light shiver.
"The Master left it here knowing someone would need it."
Finn grinned at her, patting her on the shoulder. "See? You've got control of that ability now. I don't even know how you do it."
Rey wrinkled her nose.
"Yes… Luke's instructions on how to strengthen my shields really helped with that… and the meditation on controlling both my powers and my emotions didn't hurt either," she admitted grudgingly.
Poe sent his boyfriend a proud smile when didn't gloat as they all moved into the next room, still looking for the runes that Luke and General Leia had asked them to take holos of.
Eventually, they got to the room they were looking for and Chewie and Poe were left to twiddle their thumbs whilst BB-8, Rey and Finn started pouring over the walls.
That was until Poe had touched the stupid rune.
He really knew he messed up when Finn and Rey had snapped their heads around half a moment before his fingers had brushed it, both of them calling out for him to stop, but by that point it had been too late.
The world around him had filled with a blinding light, and, when his vision cleared, they weren't alone in the room anymore.
He jumped away from the man that had materialised beside him. He was in armour that would have made him reach for his blaster if it wasn't painted blue. Nevertheless, he stumbled back a few steps before an unseen Force shoved him behind Finn and Rey, who had both assumed defensive stances.
He didn't know which one of them had moved him, but he wasn't fazed by it; he'd had to get used to getting manoeuvred by invisible hands when he'd started fighting regularly alongside Finn and Rey, neither of whom were afraid to use their powers to move their allies out of the way of danger if they could.
It didn't bother him. Honestly? It was kind of a thrill.
There were five other men dressed in similar armour, though three of them had gold paint, whilst the last two were wearing significantly less protection with their weird robes that kind of reminded him of Luke. In the back, near the doorway, was a young Togrutan female as well as an older human female around Poe's age clutching a blaster.
The Togrutan and the man in black robes ignited lightsabers whilst the other men raised their blasters.
The last man in the beige robes and the light upper body armour glanced at the man beside him with a disapproving frown.
"Now, now. We don't need to resort to violence right away."
"Who are you?" the dark robed one with a scar over one of his eyes growled, ignoring his companion.
They all stood there gaping. The last thing they'd expected to see was people with lightsabers. At least not ones that weren't red.
Poe glanced between Finn and Rey. Neither of them had gone for their lightsabers, instead Finn had raised his blaster whilst Rey was brandishing her spear. To be fair, he'd never seen Finn miss a shot and had once watched as Rey knocked out ten storm troopers with her staff within fifteen seconds.
Both of his Jedi were frozen, staring at the image in front of them with blank expressions.
Intellectually, they all knew that there had to be a few other Jedi in the galaxy, but any ones that hadn't already been killed should be impossible to find unless they had the protection of the Resistance at their backs, and the only ones who did were Finn, Rey and Luke.
For once, Poe was the first to recover in a social situation. He was good at back alley deals and criminal underworld politics - he'd had to be with the sheer number of undercover missions he was send on - but Rey and Finn had this quality about them that could sway any opponent. Years in the First Order under countless temperamental commanding officers had taught Finn just how to react to deescalate any interaction and the genuine kindness that Rey met every situation with, hiding her sharp, calculating mind completely disarmed almost anyone they met. That was, unless they were on the battlefield. Then, they were terrifying.
He drew himself up, tilting his chin back confidently in a way that he'd learnt to do whenever he was met with a more powerful opponent. "I think we should be the ones asking the questions since we were here first. You just appeared out of thin air."
Chewie let out a garbled roar and Rey nodded in acknowledgement.
Poe really needed to learn Shyriiwook. They had all worked together on nearly every mission since Finn and Rey had joined the Resistance - he was fairly sure they were officially considered a team in the official records. Finn and Rey had been promoted to the rank of Commander, and Chewie had been given it as soon as he formalised his commitment to the Resistance.
"The Force is… different now," Rey murmured, her face an impassive frown.
She'd gotten better at controlling her expression over the past few months. Maybe all the meditation was helping with that. Though, Poe would never suggest that to her.
Finn glanced at her, before taking half a step back and closing his eyes. A moment later, he jerked, letting out a gasp. Poe stepped forward, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Finn gave him a small smile as he leaned slightly into the touch.
"It's… so much lighter," he murmured, is voice thick with awe.
Rey hummed in agreement. "More full at least. There are just… so many lights."
Less than a moment later, she shook her head, snapping her gaze towards the people in front of them.
"Something… very strange has happened," she announced and Poe sighed internally.
He really shouldn't be surprised by weird Force shit when he spent most of his time around Jedi. He definitely couldn't complain when he was actually dating one.
The man in the dark robes frowned as he powered down his lightsaber, the young Togrutan in the back doing the same for her green one and her smaller, yellow one.
The red-haired Jedi and the dark robed one shared a glance.
"I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi, High General of the GAR, and this is General Anakin Skywalker. We may be able to assist you."
Poe felt himself freeze.
"Oh shit."
Finn and Rey glanced back at him, their eyes wide with similar realisation.
Finn turned back to them. "If you're Obi-Wan Kenobi… and you're Anakin Skywalker, that would mean…"
"We travelled back in time," Rey finished for him, her voice barely above a whisper.
Poe instinctively wanted to deny it. Time travel was crazy. There was no way.
But the group in front of them looked pretty darn solid.
And the man in front of him wasn't wearing a black helmet.
So it was the only logical conclusion.
Calling time travel logical seemed like a juxtaposition.
This should be impossible.
Chewie let out a roar, and Poe didn't have to know Shyriiwook to understand the gist of what he was saying. This was fucked.
"Excuse me?" Kenobi asked, arching an eyebrow.
Skywalker snarled, "You expect us to believe that?"
Chewie grumbled and leant back against the wall, striking up a quiet conversation with BB-8, which consisted entirely of them complaining at each other, from what he could hear from BB-8's replies.
Finn, Poe and Rey glanced at each other, all of them trying to think of the right thing to say. It needed to be something that would prove that they were from the future, something they couldn't have known if they lived in the time they were currently in, but it couldn't be something that would side track this conversation too much.
So no bombshells. Like the Emperor. Or Darth Vader. Or the Genocide of the Jedi.
Right.
Rey inclined her head downwards and Finn grasped at his belt. He raised his eyebrows and tilted his chin. Poe nodded, signing a quick agreement with Rey's plan.
Finn sighed, and unclipped the metal cylinder from his belt.
"This is your lightsaber," he said, looking at Skywalker. "The one you're holding right now."
He held it flat in his palm, allowing Skywalker to easily summon it to his hand, comparing it to the identical weapon he'd already been holding. The man closed his eyes for a few seconds, grimacing.
"It's the same saber," he announced when he opened his eyes, his tone more subdued than before. "But the crystal doesn't recognise me anymore."
He nodded at Finn, holding the weapon out.
"It likes you though."
Finn blinked as he summoned the weapon back to his hand. "Uh… thank you?"
Rey shot him a smug grin and Finn rolled his eyes.
General Kenobi frowned, putting a hand on his chin.
"So we do have… visitors from the future."
BB-8 trilled angrily and Poe cringed.
Rey blew out a sharp breath. "She's right. It seems our way back has been destroyed as well."
She gestured to the now cracked stone, that Poe had just touched.
Yep, they were royally screwed.
Kriffing Jedi bullshit.

TROS Novel!
I just finished the entirety of The Rise of Skywalker novel in one sitting yesterday and I cried twice. I absolutely loved it.
Here are some highlights. Spoilers ahead!!!
Leia and Rey have a deep bond with each other. When Rey says, “I will earn your brother’s saber one day.” It’s not because she can’t wield it. It’s because it belongs to the Skywalker’s. It was never Reys. It was about respecting her current master, Leia, who believed she still needed training in the force. Using the force isn’t about being able to fight, it is also about learning to control your emotions. Rey was struggling with fear and often times went head on with things. Leia really was trying to teach her patience in the force. But she also sensed that Rey was struggling towards the dark.
The pacing was certainly better and we get more time with the resistance members, such as Maz, Rose, Connix, and even learn Beaumont’s role on their team.
Rose and Finn actually have some good moments. They actually hug before Finn leaves, and even Rey is jealous of their exchange (only because she was afraid Leia wouldn’t say goodbye to her). AND near the end, when Rose asked where Finn was going, he said, “Saving the ones I love.” And my heart melted.
Finn is such a good boy. He is perfect. I actually love him more and there were great FinnRey moments.
Obviously there is a ton of good Reylo moments and quotes. There interactions are actually more intense than I felt the movie projected, especially when they first interact. In the desert, both Kylo and Rey were relieved they did not kill each other and Kylo even felt he was being an idiot (yeah, he is a Solo alright). Also, it is confirmed from Kylo’s perspective that Rey has a “lovely” face. I’m dead.
When Palp tells Kylo there is more to Rey, he legitimately thought her parent’s were nobodies from the vision he saw, and thought he must of missed something, explaining the inconsistencies. So Kylo never lied to Rey. He just told Rey what he thought and only got a glimpse of her parents.
Lando actually had a daughter, but she was kidnapped by the first order as a child and it is presumed that she became a storm trooper. This opens up the possibility that Jannah could be his daughter, making their first meeting near the end more meaningful
We also get a Lando moment on the falcon as he goes around and looks throughout the ship and finds a holo memory of Chewie holding a baby Ben.
It is confirmed that Chewie was known to as “Uncle Chewie” from Ben Solo as a child and that Chewie helped raise and teach him things. He and Kylo have an encounter and it actually affects Kylo.
Leia and Han always loved Ben. They never abandoned him. It is confirmed that Snoke/Palpatine manipulated Ben’s feelings and made him think they never loved him. Ben realizes this truth on the death star after his mother reaches out to him. And even later he acknowledges that he was conditioned into believing that people hate him and was worried that Rey would leave him after he saves her.
Rey finding out that Ben and her were a dyad actually meant a lot to her after being alone most of her life. It is actually implied that they were always a dyad, but I know other sources say their connection happened when they first met, but who knows.
Palpatine literally does drain Rey and Ben’s power away from their dyad connection. This makes both of them weak, which is why Rey died because she used the rest of her strength and power. However, she had some “spark” left as Ben held her. This is also the reason why he died because his power was drained as well and he used up all he had to save her. Essentially, it was all Palps fault. EVERYTHING.
Rey was actually mad that Palp threw Ben down the pit. She wanted to scream, she just couldn’t because of being weak. She also tried sensing his life force. Ben’s death was certainly done a bit better and we do get some closure between the two.
Now the dreadful ending was certainly better explained, when Rey visits Tatooine, she is only going there to bury the lightsabers. Luke’s force ghost actually allows Rey to go ahead and take their name, so it was given, not stolen. The old lady she met was even like, “oh okay, see ya.” and Rey and BB8 are on their way leaving to go back to their friends, so she wasn’t planning on living there alone. Even BB8 was sick of the planet and complained about the sand. She then thinks about her friends and even Ben and they are just admiring the sunrises (not sunsets) before they head off.
It is discussed early on that Rey was already building a light saber for herself and when she encounters her dark self, the red lightsaber her vision had was actually the original idea Rey had for her own lightsaber and I thought that was neat.
I would also like to point out that Rey’s favorite color is green and loved the planet their base was on, so I doubt that Rey ever wants to live on a desert planet again, so I think it’s safe to know that Rey was not going to stay on Tatooine and this makes me feel better.

Promise I'm Not Slipping Away (pt.3)
Poe Dameron x Solo! reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: the pilot and storm trooper take you hostage but during uour escape things quickly fail.
Warning: swearing, viloence
I HAVE MIXED EMOTIONS ABOUT THIS!
I was also in a piss mood somewhere in the middle so its super bad but enjoy!
~~~~~
"This is...this is real clever of you boys." You stated sarcastically as the storm trooper, who after a touching moment between the two men, poe had named Finn, finished cuffing your arm which now had you attached to poe.
"C'mon, supreme leader, taking me in was your first mistake." Poe stated smoothly with a grin. You scowled as finn yanked poes free arm pulling you both into the corridor outside of the room.
"Just shut up and follow us." Finn said sharply as he placed his helmet back on his head.
"Yhea got that." You replied back annoyed. You would've slipped away by now. But you didn't, not that you didn't want you, because you really did want to take both of these idiots out a while ago. But any time you attempted you felt something awful grip your gut. It only stopped when you did, not only that but you could tell that even if Finn wasn't trusting in himself to actually shoot you down you could sense poe was. He was, although slightly uncertain about it, he still had enough certainty to do it. So you followed.
You where silent and looked back at the control station above hoping someone above would catch wind of you. Luckily for you Hux was on post and looking down. "Now what is she doing down there?" He asked himself. You tripped slightly and poe moved his arm pulling you up. That was all he needed to know you weren't following along willingly.
"Someone stop that pilot!" He yelled and almost instantly the alarms went off and a squad of troops moved quickly after the three of you.
"Shit!" You heard poe mutter before he harshly pulled you along to a ship. He pulled you up the ramp and finn stayed behind you pushing you in. "Stop it! Stop it!" You hissed eventually the ramp shut and you where being pulled to the cockpit and sat you in the passenger seat. "Finn man the guns!"
Finn was quick to find it and get settled. You moved your arm in an attempt to free it but the ship was already taking off. "It's too late! They already know you have me! They aren't going to let us go!" Poe looked at you with a smirk and before you knew it the ship jerked forward fast and zipped out of the bay.
As the ship jerked forward you did too looking at him with a scowl. "Alright finn! Get ready they'll be hot on our tail...right about.... Now!" As he said that two red beams shot past the ship.
You could hear finn shout excitedly from where he sat and poe turned the ship suddenly causing you to slide right next to him.
"Ready finn!?"
"Rea-" before the rest of the word left his mouth something hit the ship with a solid slam and the lights turned red. "What the fuck was that!?" You asked.
Poe didn't answer and only hit a series of buttons. "Ok...change of plans...switching gears." You watched him as he moved his hands dragging your arm with his still attached.
"HANG ON!" You gripped the side of his seat as he drove the ship forward and flipped upside down so you now ended up behind the last two tie-fighters. "Finn, buddy? You in a better position?"
"Yea!'
"Then go!" With two of them where shot down, the last one menover  so it just missed it and shot at one of the engines.
"Finn! Now!" With that it was shot down amd you went flying through space again only to start malfunctioning. "Oh stars,oh stars! We're going to die!" The last thing you remember from the ship was watching the bright yellow sands of Jakku come into view before you crashed.
The sun was hot. But you really didn't expect anything less when you woke up facing the sky with nothing but pain overcoming your entire being. You groaned and moved your hands to rub your eyes but your wrist was caught.
You turned your head and caught the glint of the sun reflecting back into your eyes from the restrains that still connected you and the pilot, who laid motionless on the ground on the other end of the restraints.
"Shit..." You pushed yourself upright and pulled your arms shaking him in an attempt to wake him. "C'mon get up! I'm not frying alive out here!" He groaned as you continued to do so.
"What!?" He finally asked annoyed. "Get up.we need to get off this damn planet."
You said rising to your feet pulling his arm. He huffed and followed suit quickly, and following behind you as you picked through the pile of metal that was the ship. "Here." You handed him a blaster and waved your hand over the restraints so that they clicked free and fell to the ground.
"Whats this for?"
"Well i am expecting you to safely lead me across this hell planet." You said pulling off layers of your clothes and rolling your sleeves.
"Wait, wait, wait wheres finn?" You stopped and looked around. "Who's to say? The wreckage goes back for miles maybe he fell out way back...maybe he already left. Which would be a great idea! This land is filled with scavengers, ruthless scavengers."
He sighed and looked torn. You pushed your hair back and patted his shoulder. "I'm sure he's alright...you did a really good thing getting him out of there...now lets go." You said that softly before walking past him in the opposite direction he faced.
You heard him let out a deep breath before he turned and followed you. "If we wanna get off this planet we need to keep heading that way." He said pointing far off in the distance. "Thats where you found me last night...that where my ship will be. We get there and I do a few repairs on it we'll be off."
You nodded and stepped aside letting him take lead.
The sun was now some what low by the time the both of you saw the little town off in the distance. "Think we'll make it by sun down?" You asked as you continued to walk.
"We should...hey why haven't you run away by now? Found your own way back? You following me just means your still my prisoners."
You shrugged and stopped to face him. Searching for an explanation. "I..." You trailed off seeing something behind him.
"You what?" He pushed but you where so focused on the the group that made there way towards the both of you, blasters ready in hand. "Shit get down!" You grabbed his shoulders and tackled him to the ground, crashing on top of him as they began to fire.
You grabbed the blaster you had given him earlier and shot back.
You rolled off of him and continued to shoot. "Start running i'll cover you!"
"Are you crazy!?"
"Go!" You snapped rising to your knees, you stopped a blaster beam mid air and forced it back at the attackers. Poe stood up and started running towards the town.
You pushed your hand out to them and they fell back giving you enough time to turn and run.
"What are they!?"
"I told you scavengers! They tend to attack and strip any one and any thing of something they can sell off!"
He grabbed your arm and pulled you behind a small hut so you could catch your breath.
"Well we made it.." He said. You looked up at the small scattered houses that the farther you looked the closer and more crowded they got.
"Finally..."
You set up a small camp right next to poe's x-wing. You sat by the fire as he worked away on the ship.
You stared into the fire and got lost in deep thought.
"Your grandfather would be proud."
You scoffed at the thought, but mainly yourself. You knew full well why you hadn't killed poe when you should have, why you hadn't run away from him and waited for your brother, even hux to come find you.
And though you obviously wheren't resisting the pull. You hated it, but you also hated not feeling it.
"You look conflicted." You snapped from your thoughts when you heard poes voice.
"What?...OH! uh..no im..im fine!" He didn't look convinced but sat down across from you. "We should be ready to go early afternoon tomorrow.."
"Great!" You said rolling your sleeves down now that it had gotten somewhat chilly do to the lack of the beating sun.
"And...uh thanks for..ya know saving my tail back there." Before you could respond he was already laying back in the sand ready to sleep.
You sighed and did the same thing and slowly dozed off.
By morning you found that sleeping in the sands of jakku wasn't necessarily the most comfortable pf terrains to fall asleep on especially with it's increasing temperatures as soon as the sun began to rise.
"Finally awake i see!" Poe shot sarcastically to you. "Oh ha very funny fly boy!"
"Well if it means anything i got a head start and she's already to go!"
You made your way over to him. "So we can leave this awful planet finally!"
"And go back to the resistance base." He said. You said nothing in turn to that going back to your thoughts from the night before.
"Well if you are ready then lets go!" The ride to the base was somewhat quiet and when you arrived you felt extremely unnerved by a strong presents that only grew as you followed poe through the base.
"General organa!"
"Commander Dameron! It's good to have you back!"
"Thank you general but i have news i brought someone who i think might help."
Poe gestured to you and both general organa and poe looked at you.
You could hear her let out a soft breath and You stood in the door way eyes glued to the ground as she walked over to you. She stood there in front of you, saying nothing, making no movement for a while. Then quietly she reached up to your chin and lifted your head so that you where looking at her.
"You've got my eye's...." She said softly with a light smile. "And your tall now...you get that from your dad....you both do." You gave her the same light smile in return.
Soon enough her arms where around you hugging you tightly it took you by surprise but you slowly returned the gesture and wrapped your arms around her burying your face in the crook of her neck.
"I'm sorry..." You mumbled.
"I know...I know you are...it's not your fault."
Warning: blood, violence
Pairing : Kylo x Reader
Summery: The reader trains her abilities with the force, only to reveal family secrets.
Chapter 1: Constellatio
Chapter 2: Ortu Stella
Tumblr media
It was bright, the room, (Y/N) could barely see as her eyes adjusted. Her eyes opened slowly, flicking from one side of the room to the next, that’s when she saw him. His black suit, long coat, and silver belt that shined in the bright lights of the room.
“Do I have to teach you how to wear a coat again.” Her voice was raspy, tired, sarcastic. It caused him to chuckle and turn to her.
“Good to know your alive,” he gave a faint smile. “You’re mother would kill me if you died here.” He said walking over to her bed side.
“She’d kill you anyways.” She chuckled, but groaned from the pain after.
“Do you remember what happened?” He asked looking down at her.
“I remember, Finn... and the pilot...” she shook her head and closed her eyes. “Kylo is coming...”
“I must go, if he finds me in here he’ll have my head.”
“Be careful, uncle.” She said looking up at General hux who quickly left the room, leaving her alone once again. She closed her eyes, trying to remember what happened. The door to the room opened with a loud wooshing noise, causing her to open her eyes. Kylo stood at the end of her bed now looking at her.
“You’re awake, good.” He walked to the side of the bed. “Do you remember what happened?” He asked, his voice was much colder then before, the thought angering him, if only she could see his face.
“Im trying, I just can’t...” she shook her head looking at him.
“It’s okay, I have him in a cell.” Kylo looked down at her, but still she could only see his mask. “Do you know how long it’s been?”
“No, and who... who do you “ then everything came back. “Poe, Kylo don’t hurt him.”
“I haven’t spoken to him yet, I wanted to make sure you were alright. “
“Take your helmet off.” She said looking at him.
“I won’t be in here long, (Y/N).”
“I didn’t ask how long you’d be here, I said take the helmet off.” She stated looking at him, he didn’t take kindly to being told what to do but he listened to her. The helmet clicked and let out a few beeps as it was taken from his head and set on the bed beside her. She smiled while seeing him.
“Can you move?” He asked looking at her, she could see the concern on his face now, the change in his voice. She moved sitting up, the pain was numbing and she groaned at feeling it, but it could be worse. “ I didn’t say you had too...”
“Well I’m not just going to sit here, how long has it been?” She asked looking at him. His eyes looked her up and down and let out a sigh.
“Three days, lucky for you the blast hit the belt you had on under it, it’s metal protected you from any life threatening injury.” He took her hand. “ but that does not mean it wasn’t serious. “ looking down that’s when she noticed she wasn’t in the red dress, more of a long black night down, and she could feel the wrap around her Abdomen. “I’ll have someone change your wrap, I have a few things to take care of ok?” Took her hand to his lips gently before leaving the room.
Shortly after a nurse came in and helped change the wraps and gave her some medicines for the pain, telling her to stay in bed. But (y/n) couldn’t stay there like that, she needed to move. The nurse helped her change into a proper outfit, a black jumpsuit with off the shoulder cape, and silver belt to clip her light saber to. Looking into the mirror of her room, she reminded herself of her uncle. Had Kylo known of her relation to the general he’d probably replace him with her, but she could never do what he does. So they kept it secret, as they do with everything.
She Walked out of the room to explore, hopefully find kylo, or even Hux. Every trooper that passed, nodded there head towards her in respect, but she didn’t feel she deserved it. Everyone by now must know of her bond with Kylo, or maybe it was the clothes she wore, or the elegantly designed silver handle of the light saber she carried. Either way, no one here would look her directly in the eye, no one would step to close to her. That was until she reached the cells, two storm troopers stepped forward not allowing her to go any closer to one cell at the end of the hall.
She tried to use every excuse she could, every time they denied her it just denied her it only made her want to go in there more. But she walked away, only around the corner tho. She needed to know.
“I thought the nurse told you to stay in bed” kylo’s voices echoed threw her head.
“I wanted to explore.” She said looking around.
“If you wanted to explore so bad I’d have someone escort you, I don’t like you being alone here.” She could hear the slight irritation in his voice.
“You’re not my dad, and I’m not a child.” She started rolling her eyes.
“Why do you want in that cell so bad?” He said, she tried focusing on him enough to see where he was.
“Why do you want me out of it so bad?”
“Because he could hurt you.” That’s when she blocked him out and walked back to the guards who tried to stop her.
“Ma’am I’m sorry but we can’t let you threw.” The one of the left stated holding up his arm.
“The man in the cell is the one who shot me, don’t you think I have the right to know why?” She asked with an innocent look on her face, the look that got so many men killed.
“I, I uh suppose you do.” That was too easy, one opened the door and she went in. The interrogation chair faced away from her as she entered but she slowly walked around to look at the pilots face.
“Poe,” she stated causing him to open his eyes and look at her.
“You’re alive,” he said clearing his throat. His eyes darted the room looking for Kylo, trying to make sure he wasn’t in his head. What he didn’t expect was for her to be in his head.
“Why did you try to kill me?” She asked sitting down across from him.
“It was an accident .” He closed his eyes focusing on not letting either of them in.
“You’re one of the best shots in the galaxy, so I’ll ask again.” She leaned forward looking at him, focusing what little she’s learned from Kylo on getting into his head. “Why, did you try, to kill me?”
“Why did you try to kill me?” He argued back with a sly smirk on his face knowing he blocked her out.
“Because, a grieving woman said you killed her husband in cold blood, so I took the job.” She stood up walking over to him. “When I realized it was a set up I backed out.” She studied his face.
“It’s touching really, you thought I wasn’t worth the kill.” He said opening his eyes.
“I thought you weren’t a murderer, but it seems I was wrong.” She walked around the chair studying him. When he went to speak again she cut him off. “Why did you try to kill me... “ she asked and stop on his right side, hand raised above his forehead.
“I- I’m not telling, “ he groaned in pain trying to fight it off, “ you’re stronger then We thought,” she stopped and he let out a gasp.
“That makes two of us,” she said walking back towards the chair in front of him, catching him off guard she turned her hand in front of him. “Tell me why you tried to kill me! Now!” He snapped finally, just as Kylo had entered the room, anger boiling in him.
“Leia believes you complete a triangle between, Kylo and Rey, who ever gets you wins the war.” He groans closing his eyes trying to fight it still. “ if no one has you it’s fair game again.” She lowered her hand processing what he said, kylo’s anger was gone, replaced with an impressed look. But he soon rushed over and used a small cloth to wipe under her nose.
“Don’t do that again, you’ll hurt yourself.” He said, as he pulled the clothe away she saw the blood.
“ I needed to know .” She said looking up at him, then back at poe.
“I’ll take care of him, you go rest.” He said placing his hand in the small of her back.
“No, let him go.” The statement caught them both off guard, Poe looked at her eyeing her up and down looking for bluff. Kylo however looked at her with surprise. “Let him tell his friends that there going to loose the war...”
(Y/n) was in her room looking out the port, at the stars when Kylo came in. His helmet being taken off and set on the table in the corner.
“What you did was reckless, and stupid... but it was impressive.” He said walking over to her, running his gloved hand up her back. “But next time when I tell you to not do something, I expect you to listen.” She turned her head looking at him. Tears in her eyes. His expression changed from anger to shock taking her head in his hands. “Why are you crying, don’t cry.” He didn’t know what to do.
“I had tried my whole life, to stay out of this war, to be my own person. “ she looked up at him her glossy (E/C) eyes meeting his. “Now I’m forced into it, and by what... destiny?” She moved away from him walking across the room, arms crossed. “My father, was part of the resistance, he died part of the rebel Alliance , but my mother didn’t stay, she supports the first order, she doesn’t really have much of an option tho.” She turned looking at Kylo. “I believe in both sides at one point or the other, and for years I believed the resistance was good.” Her words made his eye brows furrow together. “But they just tried to kill me, for there own gain.”
“That is why you must join me (y/n) we will restore order, together.” He took her hands into his now ungloved ones.
“They were my friends...” a tear fell, it rolled down her cheek and she looked down. “ I never claimed resistance, but when Finn came to me to start over I helped him... I helped him betray you Kylo...” she looked up at him.
“That’s in the past now, you need not worry about it.” He wiped her eyes and kissed her head. “You need to rest, what you did earlier took a toll on you.” He brought her over to her bed. “I’ll help you train tomorrow okay...” She nodded and sat down looking up at him. “Goodnight little star,” he said starting to walk away.
“Wait” she said grabbing his hand and pulling him down into a kiss, he kissed back instantly, It was quick, but full of emotion. Smooth yet rough. He pulled away and looked at her, resting his forehead against hers. “Goodnight...” she said calmly.
“Goodnight little star.” He kissed her one last time before leaving.
They trained for weeks, months even, but nothing could have prepared her for what she’s watching now, betrayal. Her vision was blurry but she knew what she saw, as the red guards lay around her scattering the floor. Fire and sparks flying to meet the floor, Rey and Kylo standing before her. She is starting to remember now, the fight, the knight that knocked her out, the blood that covered her hands. But none of it was as painful as this .
“It’s time to let the old things die.” Kylo declared looking at the thrown,” Snoke, Skywalker” he looked over at rey, walking to wards her slowly. “The Sith, the Jedi, the rebels, let them all die, Rey.” He put his hand out, “ I want you to join me.” That’s what hurt, it hurt the most, the pain turned to anger, yet (y/n) was in no state to fight. “We could rule together, and bring a new order to the galaxy.” Those words, she knew them, he said those too her, to (y/n) and now to Rey. As she tried to gather herself they paid no attention to her, only to each other as they continued on.
Just as she stands up, he says, “you’re nobody,”
(y/n) had hope, for one second, “but not to me” it was gone, “join me” it was done. It took only moments for her hand to lift, but she didn’t take his. The light saber, flew from his other and into the air. By now (Y/n) had completely registered her surroundings. The light saber floated in the air between the two as they fought wit the force for it. This was her chance, to stop all of this. The room around her was beaming with energy the forces bouncing from Rey to Kylo. Now or never she said in her mind.
Now or never.
She moved her hand up using the force and in an instant the light saber flew to her hands breaking there hold on it. She gripped it tightly the blue light from it bouncing off her face. Both of them fly backwards once the force of the lightsaber was gone, the both moved to see what had happened. There she stood, graceful as ever, wielding the lightsaber like it was her blood right, and it was. But holding the light saber brought a flood of memories l, memories that weren’t hers.
“She’s just a child Luke, you can’t make her a lightsaber.” Your mother said causing the blonde man to look up from the paper in front of him.
“Well fine, I’ll make an extra one for me, and she can have it when she’s old enough, tell her it was mine.” He said placing the paper down.
“You’re an idiot,” her mother said walking over to him.
“Yes but I’m your idiot.” He said kissing her gently.
“So you’re not staying?” She asked placing her hand in his cheek.
“If I stay that puts you and her in danger, and I can’t have that.” He said looking at her with worried eyes.
“What do you want me to tell her then?” She asked placing her hands on his chest.
“Tell her, her father died for a good cause.”
Kylo and Rey both stood, walking to her slowly nit making any big moves.
“(Y/n)” Kylo said calmly. “Hand me the lightsaber”
“Don’t (y/n)” she reached her hand out. “Give it to me, we still have time.”
“No,” she stated simply.
“Little star,” Kylo began.
“That it not my name,” she said looking at them, her sudden outburst caught them a little off guard, but her next statement is what shocked them the most.
“My name is (Y/N) Skywalker, and this is my lightsaber”
John Boyega Deserved So Much Better
It’s upsetting reading John Boyega’s interview. I remember when TFA trailer came out I was so surprised to see a black actor as a storm trooper and then seeing him hold a light saber thinking he was going to be a Jedi and I was thinking how progressive Disney was becoming. But we were dead wrong and Disney did Finn, as well as other characters like Rose and Poe dirty.
John is an amazing actor and was given a role that he was excited as hell to bring to life and give his all because hello it’s Star Wars (I’m sure no one would have turn down a chance to be in one of the most memorable franchises) but instead he was put to the side. Like John said, Adam knew and Daisy knew but they never commented or used their privilege to help out there fellow castmate who was dealing with racist comments from fans and producers who didn’t seem to care about John’s concerns or him wanted more for his character.
You can’t blame him for feeling this way, especially during these times. Disney has seen what having good representation in your cast does, an example being Black Panther. They got the big box office numbers they wanted but so many black people got to see someone that looks like them be the main character, the hero, not just a side character with no real progression.I’m glad John called Disney out, and letting the people know that Disney is a cash grab that doesn’t care for its black characters and cast or another other POC because be real, Star Wars didn’t need another 3 movies to “finish the story”.
I’ve always been a fan of Adam, but it’s disappointing knowing he could have done or said something, but he stayed silent, the same goes for Daisy because they were the leads of this trilogy, they saw and hearsed what was going on behind the scenes and what John was going through but still did nothing.
Okay, so this is just how I feel the 7th episode of Star Wars could be improved. If you all enjoy it I'll do the others in the Disney Trilogy. And I am open to constructive criticism and discussion, this is all in good fun.
So first of all, I want to say I think the actors did a decent job with what they were given, it was the writing that needed work and the cast shouldn't have been dogged like they were. Most of the Force Awakens can actually be salvaged with just a few scene changes, especially towards the end. And though it should be obvious by the title, and you probably already saw it let me say SPOILER WARNING.
So the beginning of the movie goes as is and the first change I would make is when Kylo Ren is informed of Finn, Rey, and BBs escape from Jakku. Instead of throwing a hissy fit and destroying that computer, he uses his light saber to cut off both of the officers arms after he was told that a girl helped Finn and BB escape. He then lifts the officer with the force and says "what girl", the officer replies "we don't know yet", and Kylo uses the force to snap his neck so that the officer's head is completely turned around. He then yells at another officer to find out what happened and to have this mess cleaned up. The scene then transitions to the Millennium Falcon as it did originally. This scene change makes Kylo Ren's character seem more like an actual threat rather then a whiney child, and I think it makes him much more intimidating. After all, he is supposed to be one of the big bad guys of this trilogy.
The next scene change takes place at Maz's bar, when Finn admits to Rey that he was a Storm trooper and then leaves to join those cargo pilots. Rey would still have those visions, and Maz would still give her speech, but toward the end of it Maz would then make a remark to Rey along the lines of "don't worry, he would return when she needed him, and he'll know when that is". A subtle remark, but important for later. Then we have all those planets destroyed, and the the first order invades like before. The only difference is that when Finn starts fighting the "Traitor" Storm trooper, he's not so easily beaten and actually is pretty decent with the light saber making the storm trooper stagger back and go on the defensive a time or two. So he's not an expert but someone who obviously has potential, as if holding the weapon felt natural. He still needs to get saved by Han and Chewy, but its not so one sided. The fight continues like in the movie, but instead of just seeing Kylo kidnapp Rey, Finn gets this look, like he can feel something is wrong, and looks around. That is when he see's Kylo leave with Rey, and we see him run after them and shout her name.
We then skip ahead to Rey's interrogation by Kylo Ren. The big change here is he doesn't remove his helmet. If we're expected to take him as a true Sith Lord, we cant have him so easily persuaded to show his face. That comes later. And everything sort of plays out the same with Rey resisting and escaping with the force (except she doesn't get the storm trooper's blaster) up until we get to Kylo discovering her escape. Instead of destroying the room with his light saber he uses the force while screaming in rage, like the whole room crumples up like like a wad of paper around him while all the computers short circuit and explode. The Storm Troopers turning the corner still see the destruction and turn right around. Once again everything plays like in the movie, with the exception of Finn giving Rey the Light Saber since he has a blaster and she's unarmed. Then we get to when Han is confronting Kylo Ren on that walkway. Han would still tell him to remove the helmet, and he does. This is when we finally see his face and it makes his face reveal much more dramatic. The scene plays out, but now when Kylo kills Han we see his eyes turn that yellowish red color of the Sith. This is to signify that he's no longer conflicted in his beliefs and fully devoted to the Dark Side. Rey still shouts no, and Chewy still shoots Kylo only he's more notably wounded when he's hit.
This time, when the confrontation with Kylo against Rey and Finn happens Rey is the one with the light saber. Finn would be the one force pushed into a tree by Kylo and Rey would activate the saber and charge into battle. Kylo's dialog about the light saber being his would be the same. So Rey and Kylo are dueling and Rey isn't as good as Finn was, but due to Kylo's injury she's holding her own for the most part but is still at a clear disadvantage. We then get to the part where Kylo has her pinned against the tree and is using his saber exhaust port to cut into her. She suddenly uses the force to push him away and make some distance, surprising herself in the process, while Finn starts waking up. Kylo gets right back into the battle and Rey gets that hit in on his arm, right before he's able to knock her saber out of her grasp by twirling thier sabers. This action knocks Rey to the ground, and Kylo approaches her with his Saber raised ready to end it. That's when Finn raises his arm and shouts out "NOOOO". You see, Rey and Finn's saber was knocked in the opposite direction of Finn, with Kylo and Rey in-between. We already saw the force awaken in Rey, well now we see it awaken in Finn as the saber flys towards him, activating as it passes Kylo. Only his training and reflexes keep him from loosing his head, instead it grazes his face cutting off part of his lower jaw and scarring up part of his face. The Saber goes in to Finn's hands, who looks at it amazed. Rey looks at him with a sort of surprised "you too" look. But now Kylo is really mad, and goes for Finn. The fight is back on, but Rey is backing him up with Finn's forgotten blaster. Despite the team up, and Kylo being injured the fight is still evenly matched with Kylo having a slight advantage. This is to show his obvious greater skill with the force given his years of training. Like, its obvious if you really look that if he was uninjured from Chewy in the start and then from Finn and Rey's attacks, he would be absolutely dominating the two of them.
Then Kylo gets an advantage over Finn, slicing his back and throwing him to the ground on his now injured back. He then has him on the ground with his light saber at his throat, boot holding down his hand with the saber in it. He looks at Rey and says the line about being her teacher in the ways of the force. Rey, like in the movie, realizes she could possibly use the force again, and uses it to push Kylo off of Finn and to bring the saber to her. We have the clash between the two of them. She manages to cut off his hand (instead of cutting his face like in the movie, since Finn already did), and pushes him back into a tree with the force. The big ravine opens between them again, only its much bigger so Kylo couldn't force jump it, even if he was still fighting fit. They look at each other, Kylo's face mangled and bleeding as his eyes burn with hatred. Rey with a look that's determined but just a bit nervous. She then runs back to Finn and grabs him, both getting off the planet just like in the movie, as everything else that was going on took place the same way. Kylo meanwhile looks at his bleeding nub, and though you can tell by the look on his face that he doesn't want to, we see him start to head back to base so he can escape.
We get back to the Rebel base, Finn is injured but awake, and R2D2 has revealed the location of Luke Skywalker with BB's help. Since Finn was shown to also be force sensitive he of course goes with Rey and Chewbacca to find Luke. They get to the planet that was on the map, and hike up the mountain where Luke is. Finn is using a crutch and Rey's helping him since he is still slightly injured, but on the mend. They get almost to the top of the mountain, on to a plateau but Luke isn't just staring off into the horizon. Instead they find him meditating with his legs crossed, floating 5 feet in the air with the force, his back to the mountain under a cliff and eyes closed. Finn and Rey slowly approach, as Luke slowly lowers until he is sitting on the ground. Then, he opens his eyes, and Rey pulls out the light saber and holds it out toward him. The camera zooms out. The classic star wars music plays the whole time like in the movie.
Finally, we transition to Hux seated behind a Storm trooper who is piloting a craft like the one Kylo had at the beginning of the movie toward where ever Snoke is. In the back, behind a closed door we see Kylo Ren being treated by a human doctor and a med droid while in some kind of healing pod. He seems unconscience, and the camera zooms onto his mutilated face. Suddenly, we hear the deep voice of Darth Vader say "you have much yet to learn" in side Kylo's head, and his fiery red eyes snap open. Then credits.
Whooa, that took a while to write. Especially since I was watching the Force Awakens again at the same time. So that is how I'd improve Episode 7, and I know that only a few scenes were changed, but that's because I still mostly liked the movie. It's the next two that needed MAJOR overhauling, but I needed to adjust this one for the changes in the Last Jedi to happen. And I know that Snoke and Kylo aren't exactly Sith in this trilogy, but instead another type of Dark Force users, but I used Sith for a reason. Sorry if you guys expected everything written out like a screen play or a story, but I'm just not that good a writer. I have these big general ideas, but am really not good at the small details and dialog. Nor am I good at art, which is too bad caused I'd love to see these scenes drawn out. So tell me what you think, did you enjoy it? What changes would you make? Should I go ahead and share my ideas for the Last Jedi?
Thoughts on Star Wars Episode IX, from someone who doesn't watch Star Wars
It's a good thing I'm not epileptic, because the amount of flashing lights just in the first ten minutes was enough to make me want to murder someone
No one actually thought they died when they got in the quicksand right? That was so fake. Also why did they not notice they were being sucked in until after they were done fighting?
I did think Chewie was dead though, and I was honestly just annoyed at Rey. Like that was 100% her fault. No matter what Finn says, that was her fault.
I can't understand Rey half the time when she talks. Maybe it's her accent, or the mixing, or maybe it's just her, but I lose the ends of her sentences
Speaking of her accent! Some people are British and some people are American. What's the logic there? Ex-storm trooper lady even says "zed."
Speaking of ex-storm trooper lady, when she was talking to Finn and they were bonding over both being ex-storm troopers, all I could think was, "are all storm troopers black or something?"
I was distracted for a while because my quesadilla had cilantro in it and I ordered it without knowing so I was trying to pull it out because I don't like cilantro
You can't let characters refer to Kylo Ren as just Ren when your main character's name is Rey. It sounds too similar, especially with Rey's aforementioned problem with dropping the ends of words
Kylo Ren is so ugly. Like I'm sorry for you dude. It's not just the scars, it's the whole shape of his face. His profile is notably bad. He's all out of proportion and misshapen, but that's just his face. Do people really ship this guy with anybody?
This film was really trying to give the two guys love interests, with the lady who came out of nowhere for Poe and with Finn seeming like he was going to tell Rey he loved her (I think?)
Am I the only one who has a hard time telling when someone is a droid? I can't tell droid designs apart from helmet and armor designs. I thought the Spice lady was a droid until she opened her visor
For a lot of the movie I was confused because I saw C-3PO but R2 wasn't there but I swore I'd seen R2 earlier in the movie so I was like "where is he???" and it was only when I saw him after Leia died that I understood he'd stayed behind, but I don't remember why
Ok so..... wasn't this movie filmed after Carrie Fisher died? Then how did they do her parts? And if it was started before, how was it perfectly in the script for Leia to die? I'm so confused
The little robot who went "No-No thank you" when Rey reached for him? I love him. So much. He's my new spirit animal.
You thought it was Conehead, but it was me, Dio!
This was something I noticed throughout, but a) I really love Rey's outfit? The flowiness combined with some tighter more functional stuff. The unnecessary belt on her leg should bother me from a design standpoint, but I actually think it looks really good, and breaks up the light colors. b) the contrast between her white and cream outfit and Kylo Ren's (and every other Sith's) all-black outfit is really nice. Although it makes me wonder how hot it must be under those cloaks, since it seems like every other planet they go to is a desert planet.
I ate a yummy brownie and I was just really enjoying myself :3
When Rey healed Kylo Ren, I said out loud, "Bi-- stop, what's your problem?" and my brother said "Choose a side."
Ironically, it was right at the climax that I started to fall asleep. I was surprised I hadn't fallen asleep until then, because Star Wars puts me out like a light. I missed the ending.
When the credits rolled and I stood up from my seat, my mom was sniffly and red-eyed and I was like, "are you CRYING?"
The theater gave us some mints. I liked those.
I’M THE GOOD GUY PT 2 Poe Dameron X Reader
Part 2 of “I’m the good guy” mostly because these two cuties @mockingjays-and-mahogany and @satsuma-livewasp-nightmares wanted it.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Poe Dameron X First Order! Reader
Warnings: mentions of abuse and torture
Word count: 1609 words
Not a day had gone by where you didn’t think of Poe. He was so different than what you believed the Resistance to be, however who ever it was that shot you that day surely brought most of your assumptions to truth. Being back at the First Order base was harder than you had imagined, as soon as you returned back to you station you were greeted with the presence of both Kylo Ren and General Hux.
‘So they just let you go?’ asked the General raising his eyebrow at your dismal state.
‘I escaped.’ you stressed, eyes slightly afraid.
‘Funny, how the storm-troopers here reported that you went back to the site of the crashed X-wing and then happened to have taken hostage. Care to elaborate?’ Hux inquired.
‘He was using a public channel and calling for help from any nearby allies, claiming to be the best pilot of the Resistance. I went back to finish the job.’ you said proudly.
‘Have her interrogated, I’ll personally come visit if you don’t get anything out of her. That pilot is more dangerous than we believe him to be.’ ordered Kylo Ren as the storm-troopers dragged you to a cell.
Everything was happening so fast that you had no idea on how to feel. The First Order had been your everything. You had vowed to give your all to their cause and yet this was what you got. Sure, you were different and had significantly different methods of execution of plans, but that in no way meant that you should be disrespected like this.
‘You’ll stay a few days in here without food and the truth will come out itself.’ said the storm-trooper who was your inferior and yet he had the audacity to talk to you like that.
‘It’s okay, you have nothing to hide. You didn’t do anything wrong. You did not fail the cause of the First Order.’ you told yourself, trying not to cry.
Time-skip brought to you by the Millennium Falcon going into hyper-drive
Poe felt uneasy and he couldn’t understand why. He was awaiting orders from General Leia, about a mission to Jakku. Upon receiving his orders, he got to know that he had to retrieve from Jakku, a map that led to Luke Skywalker.
Once on Jakku, things went downhill quite fast as the First Order attacked and Poe had to send BB-8 away with the map, and he himself got captured. He didn’t remember much apart from being dragged on board the ship after his terrifying encounter with Kylo Ren and the way he had stopped a shot from his blaster mid air.
When he came to, his face hurt severely. He opened his eyes to be met with Kylo Ren.
‘I didn’t know we had the Resistance’s best pilot with us. Comfortable?’ he questioned.
‘Not really.’ spat Poe.
‘I'm impressed. No one has been able to get out of you what you did with the map.’ he stated.
‘You might wanna rethink your techniques.’ Poe sneered.
‘Oh, but I did. I’ve been going through that head of yours for quite a while.’ smirked Kylo as the door to the interrogation room opened.
‘Bring her in.’ he ordered.
Poe saw you being brought into the room, your face covered with bruises and you looked like you were struggling to barely stand. There was blood on the side of your forehead and mouth, a black eye, the rest of you showed many signs of torture. Yet you looked him in the eyes, with the kindest emotion you could manage to muster.
Kylo grabbed you by the hair and brought his light-saber dangerously close to your neck.
‘Where is it?’ he demanded and Poe now looked visibly frightened.
‘You won’t get anything out of me. Nice order you’ve got going on here, turning on your own.’ Poe stated boldly.
‘She has such a pretty face, it’ll be a shame if it were to be ruined.’ he grinned burning your cheek with his light-sabre.
Your screams filled Poe’s ears as his mind started panicking like crazy, the hadn’t prepared him for this. His mind was equipped to fight against a mind probe but no one expected his heart to be the one to give him away.
‘A droid, on Jakku. Perfect.’ he grinned letting you go and throwing you towards Poe.
He turned around and walked out of the room, without looking back as he said.
‘Enjoy your last moments together, you execution awaits you.’
The moment the door closed, you rushed to free Poe from his restraints.
‘I’ve got you, here let me help.’ you said through a blurry vision, helping up and leaning his weight against yourself.
‘You’re hurt.’ He said cupping the other side of your face and turning it to him.
‘No, you’re hurt I’m just scratched.’ you smiled weakly.
Suddenly the door wooshes open, and a trooper guard enters along with a storm-trooper.
‘Ren, needs the prisoners.’ he says to the  trooper guard.
With a blaster to your backs, he leads the two of you down a narrow hallway.
‘Listen carefully: you do exactly as I say, I can get you out of here.’ says the storm-trooper.
‘Why are you helping us?’ asks Poe and you looked at the trooper.
‘FN-2187′ you smiled at him.
‘This is a rescue, can you fly a TIE fighter?’ he asked looking at Poe.
‘I can fly anything’ replies Poe.
‘Hey, I’m actually here, been flying a TIE since forever?’ you asked, obviously offended.
‘You’re hurt.’ they reply in unison and you just roll your eyes.
FN-2187 took the two of you past a few guards and then to the main hangar, where you found a two man special forces TIE fighter.
‘This is for two people.’ you groaned as FN-2187 looked worried.
‘We’ll just make do sweetheart.’ said Poe as the three of you rushed in.
The scenario inside was rather uncomfortable, you and Poe both took the seat for the pilot, Poe mainly on the seat of you seated on his right leg with your legs between his to give him enough room to move.The TIE Fighter lifts off from the bay, and rips charging cables! Storm-troopers unpack and aim mega-blasters at the ship as it pull out of the hangars.
‘Woooahhh! This thing really moves. All right, we gotta take out as many cannons as we can or we're not gonna get very far!’ grins Poe.
He aims the ship in a way that FN-2187 gets clear shots at most of the cannons.
‘YES.’ you all yell in unison.
‘Ugh that was great, whats your name?’ he asked FN-2187.
‘FN-2187.’ he replied.
‘FN-whaaat?’ Poe asked, obviously confused.
‘FN-2187.’ you replied.
‘That’s it, I’m calling you Finn.’ he said loudly before turning to you, ‘and you’re (y/n). We good?’
You just smacked the side of his head lightly.
‘Dumbass.’ you giggle.
‘We’re we going?’ Finn asked slightly worried.
‘Back to Jakku.’ replied Poe.
‘BACK TO JAKKU?’ you and Finn yell in unison?
‘Yes, we need to go back for BB-8, my ship is there too.’ Poe states.
Whilst entering into the atmosphere of Jakku, your ship suddenly starts getting fired on from behind. You were being attacked.
‘Ugh I’ve had it with crashing.’ you grown as all three of you try to escape your inevitable fate.
After ejecting, you find yourself in the hot sand, in a whole new world of pain. You get up trying to look around but can’t see anyone.
‘Poe? Finn?’ you scream.
‘This is just great.’ you groan in frustration kicking the sand.
‘(Y/n)!’ you hear from a distance, a figure running to you.
‘POE!’ you cry, running up to him as he engulfed you in a hug. You held onto him for dear life even if every inch of your body was in pain.
You noticed a figure moving towards and suddenly were on guard. They looked like a scavenger.
‘I’m Naka Lit.’ he introduced.
After Poe and you explained what had happened, he was so impressed by your stories that he offered to give you a ride. You were going to the Nima Outpost where suddenly other scavengers began to shoot at you. Poe taking the pilot’s seat expertly maneuvered all of you out of that situation. Naka took the two of you to his merchant friend.
‘I’m Ohn Gos.’ he introduced.
‘(y/n)’ you smiled taking his hand, leaving the man flustered.
Even if you were in a dismal state you could charm your way out of situation. Poe simple looked at you in child-like wander.
‘I really need to find my X-wing so we can get out of here.’ Poe pleaded.
‘I would help but I have reason to believe that its on Yavin IV’ sighed Gos.
‘YAVIN IV’ the two of you exclaim.
‘I would gladly help transport you there.’ offered Gos which you accepted.
The two of you were taken to a room where you were offered food and a chance to freshen up.
‘Looks like we’re in a bit of an adventure.’ grinned Poe.
‘We sure are.’ You said packing something in your backpack.
‘What you got in there?’ he questioned.
‘Supplies, courtesy of Gos.’ you smiled.
‘Ofcourse.’ he chuckled.
He suddenly took your hand and looked at you.
‘It might be dangerous, how about I go alone and come back for you. You deserve a break (y/n).’ he sighed.
‘As if, I partly got us into this mess. I’m definitely getting us out of it.’ you smile, determined.
‘You really are something else aren’t you.’ he grinned as you walked out of the room, ready to go to Yavin IV.
Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I’ve been sitting on this for a while. I saw the film on Friday and I’ve spent the days since trying to come to terms with what I saw. While there was a healthy dose of skepticism especially after the mess that was GoT Season 8, I was still hopeful that Star Wars couldn’t possibly go that route, there was no way. I’m sad to say that while I did not hate the film, I didn’t quite love it either.
First the good, there were more than a few parts of the film that I loved. I loved that we saw Leia training to be a Jedi, I loved that she had her own lightsaber. I loved Rey and Ben together, each trying to reach the other. I loved that there was an internal conflict within her, something she had to actively work on. I loved that Ben returned to the light and both of his parents were involved. I loved that we got Reylo, something that quite of us had already predicted. I loved that Finn was Force Sensitive. But that’s about it.
There are massive plot holes in the film that are simply not addressed. How had Palpatine survived all those years? Was Palpatine always planned to be the final big bad? Because I don’t see it. The set-up came too late with little to no time for a satisfying resolve. Whichever way you look at it, it would have always felt too rushed. Where was the build-up? You needed at least 2 films to do the whole thing justice, especially with the way the film was planned. You don’t introduce a villain that big and then bump him off in 1 film.
I was unhappy that they made Rey a Palpatine. One of the best aspects of TLJ was that she was a nobody. She was a regular person, like everyone else. She didn’t come from an über powerful family. That was a novel idea, it broke from the old Star Wars tradition where everyone is linked to the Skywalkers in some capacity or another. Her struggle with the Dark Side could have still been a key component without connecting her to a Palpatine.
Where do I even start with Finn and Poe? They were relegated to the background and their entire arc was fairly messy. They served a purpose but there was no emotional payoff. The entire Resistance plot felt undercooked.
There were too many new characters for a film that was serving as the finale for a franchise roughly 40 years in the making. This should have been about wrapping up the story, not adding new elements that you didn’t have any time for. Having said that, I did like Zorii and Jannah. I liked that there were Storm-troopers who had rebelled against their training.
Then there was Ben Solo/Kylo Ren. Full disclosure, I’ve liked his character from the beginning and I loved the way Driver played him. All that unchecked rage at odds with the vulnerability of a lost and lonely boy. His fate seemed especially cruel. We learn in TROS that he was manipulated by Palpaltine from the very beginning, since he was in Leia’s womb. His own parents didn’t understand him, his uncle/mentor tried to kill him. He finally broke away from all that negativity only to die at the end? That seems harsh. What’s the message here? Ben Solo deserved to live a life of peace. The one silver lining is that he died protecting the woman he loved. It was a choice he made.
It is also not surprising that JJ and Terio killed him off. TROS plot, in a lot of ways, feels like a check-list and it shows. They tried to put in a little something for everyone from the fanboys to the shippers (so long as they were not Finn-Poe) They had to redeem Kylo Ren, that was always gonna happen but they also probably feared backlash from the majority fan-base. They probably figured that that would appease both Kylo haters and those who saw Bendemption in the cards.
But this is Star Wars and no one ever really dies. If Ahsoka Tano can be brought back from the dead then so can Ben. It’s even more likely in his case because he and Rey share a soul, they’re literally soul mates and that kind of bond doesn’t just disappear. I’m hoping and praying that there are canon books in the works where we see this happen. If not, there’s always Fanfiction.
The end with Rey taking the Skywalker name seems even more disingenuous. You’re going back to the legacy family, implying that the name makes her special. She was Rey and that was enough. She survived on Jakku for years, relying only on her wits and resilience. There was no Force there to help her out, no Jedi masters. Rey is enough, she did not need to take on another name. And while we’re on the subject, if anything, it would have made more sense for to take on the Solo name. She was close to Leia, Han and Ben. Luke wasn’t exactly nice to her when she trained with him, they weren’t close. Why the hell would she take on that name?
TROS would have been Carrie Fisher’s film and I will forever be heartbroken that we never got to see it what that could have been.
The Last Jedi was a revolutionary Star Wars in so many ways from the narrative arc to the cinematography, it felt new. TROS went back to the formulaic way of the earlier films and it was poorer for it.
I did not hate Star Wars, I can’t, there’s too much emotional investment for that. But this film fell woefully short on many fronts and that is deeply disappointing.
To Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and the entire cast, I want to end by saying a heartfelt thank you. In your own way, you made these films special and that will always remain.
How Long?--Ben Solo x Reader: Part 2
You didn’t dream that night, but it was the most restful sleep you have gotten. You looked to your right and saw Ben still asleep. His hair was messy and his mouth was slightly open. Small snores were coming from this large man and he was drooling just the tiniest bit. You stood from your spot on the floor and gathered your blanket and pillow. You folded the blanket and placed it onto your chest and topped it with your pillow. Then you got dressed into your clothes for the day.
“Hnng,” Ben groaned, “my head hurts.” He scrunched his eyes closed and rubbed out his hands over his eyes. He sat up with his legs off of the bed. “This is worse than a hangover.”
“It’s really that bad?” Ben jumped out of the bed, not knowing that anyone was around. His face scrunched in pain and he fell to his knees while holding his head. His head was pounding so hard, he was surprised that you couldn’t hear it from three feet away. You lunged over and helped him back into his feet. “Hey, take it easy.”
And it was in that moment that Ben locked eyes with you. His eyes still held that same innocence as when he left. Your heart melted and a soft, welcoming smile appeared on your face. Ben furrowed his eyebrows and took on a confused look.
“Where am I and who are you?” He asked you. Your smile fell and you sighed. Well, you can’t have your cake and eat it too, I guess.
“You’re at the Resistance base, or I guess now it’s the former Resistance base. And I’m (y/n). We were really close before you, uh, left,” you said awkwardly. You weren’t sure that you wanted to tell him the reason for his leaving or even the reason why he was standing before you. “I’ll go find you some clean clothes and I’ll show you around.” You left the room.
Down the hall was Rey and you power walked towards her. She noticed you approaching and waved with a smile.
“Hey, is Ben awake yet?”
“Yes, but we have a problem. He doesn’t remember anything.” Rey pursed her lips and thought back to the ancient texts that she had read. Was this topic even covered in any of those texts? It had to be, somewhere.
“Rey, are you good?” you asked her. She snapped out of her thoughts and came back with a definite answer.
“It shouldn’t be an issue since it’s common when coming back from the brink of death. His memories should return in due time. We can try to do things to bring his memory back,” Rey explained. You raised your eyebrows and thought it over.
“If Ben is down, it wouldn’t hurt to try.”
Ben was confused at first, but he understood what happened to him and was eager to get his memories back. The first thing that was proposed to bring his memory back was an introduction to the force. Rey’s thought process was that since the force is within everyone, she could manually unlock the memories that resided within Ben.
“So just relax and focus on the feeling of everything around you. Before you lost your memory, you could use the force—pretty well, in fact—and this could be a key to unlocking your memories,” Rey explained. You, Chewie and Finn sat 50 yards away, watching everything go down. It was a nice day to be outside, so the planning for this event couldn’t have been any more perfect.
“Do you think this is going to do anything? I mean, look at them; they’ve been sitting there for ten minutes and nothing has happened,” Finn whispered. Chewie said something along the lines of be patient and relax, but Wookie was always hard for you. Finn grumbled and leaned his back against the tree.
After another couple of minutes, Ben rose into the air. Everyone noticed his achievement and calmly celebrated. Rey soon followed him up into the air and tried to connect with him through the force. This action caused a loud boom and for both of them to fall to the ground with a thud.
“Ow,” Ben said. They stood up and walked over to where you were sitting.
“It appears that Ben’s mind cannot be opened by the force. we will have to try other ways.”
It was Chewbacca’s attempt at bringing back Ben’s memories. His strategy was to create a mass panic. His logic was that a traumatic event can bring back previous memories that had been long forgotten. Adrenaline would flow through his veins, and then he would remember everything.
You, Rey and Finn followed them into the Falcon. Since Han was Ben’s dad, he was taught how to operate aircraft from a young age.
All of you strapped in and Chewie launched into the atmosphere. He then shut down all of the systems, causing the ship to begin to crash down to the planet. The feeling of free-falling was enough to make you white-knuckle the armrests of your seat. Chewbacca just sat back, waiting to intervene. “Ben, take control already!”
“I-I don’t know how! Do I press this button here?!”
Everyone was panicking, except for the mastermind behind this project, as Ben grabbed the controls. He was hyperventilating and didn’t know what to do. As the Falcon plummeted, nothing was clicking and the controls had to be taken back. Chewbacca evened out the flight path and it was smooth sailing down to the ground.You were shaking, Finn looked sick, and Rey’s eyes were wide with terror.
Upon landing, Finn ran off and threw up onto the nearest bush. You and Rey walked off, still shaking from adrenaline and Ben had to be pried away from the co-pilot seat by Chewbacca since he was frozen with fear. This fight or flight strategy didn’t trigger any of Ben’s memories, so it was onto Finn’s attempt.
“Is this necessary? I mean, wasn’t I the bad guy at this point of time?” Ben asked as Finn handed him a black helmet that resembled that of Kylo Ren’s. Finn placed a storm trooper helmet on his head.
“Think of it this way: you spent a lot of time as the villain and maybe, just maybe, that will trigger something,” Finn explained. You and Rey snickered as Ben held a stick representing a light saber. He felt ridiculous, of course, but Finn seemed really into it for some weird reason. “Alright, now instruct me to kill those people,” Finn said, pointing to the barrels that he lined up on the outskirts of the training area.
“Now you, storm trooper, kill those people in that village,” Ben instructed. His voice was shaky and echoed within the helmet. He was uncomfortable at giving these instructions and there was a comedic effect coming from you and Rey. Finn followed his orders and shot a blaster at a few trees in the distance.
“Anything yet?” Finn asked. Ben shook his head and Finn hung his head in defeat. Ben took of the helmet and dropped the stick as Finn walked over to him.
“What in heavens is going on over here?!” Poe yelled. Everyone scattered despite Poe’s confusion.
“I’m trying to remember, really. It’s just so hard since I’m trying to pull things from an empty void,” Ben sulked. You sat beside him and rubbed his back.
“I’m sure you’ll remember soon, Ben. It’s just going to take time. I don’t know first hand how tough this is on you, but it’s alright to not force it. No one is rushing you, so take your time.”
“I doubt it will happen soon. It’s already been two weeks and I just want to know everything that made me who I am. I wanna know why I turned to the dark side and I wanna know what my childhood was like. I want to know!”
An idea popped into your head.
“Hey, no need to yell. How about we just don’t worry about remembering and just create more memories. If you want to ask me questions while we’re at it, ask away. I declare that we go somewhere,” you said. Ben looked at you and raised his eyebrow. Then he smiled.
“Where?” He asked you. You smirked and stood up.
“My favorite place.”
