Anti-hero/Villian name for a demon that feeds on a different kind of love

So, the idea for Amor Angerona (Love strangled/torment) is that He is a succubus/incubus hybrid that is only comfortable being himself around his Love and the Symbiot! Reader and gang. Around everyone else, in disguise, he becomes a ‘she’ and pretends to help abusers, kidnappers, etc but is actually slowly killing them with their ‘desires’. He is the only one that has a last name, as everyone else gave up their pasts.

Him and Fenrir (male Ice elemental that once was human) are married (soul bonded) and their powers mix together to create a demonic looking ice hellhound, which is why I decided to name one Fenrir.

Amor is a high ranking demon, even tho he is a suc/inc, and has the highest soul count out of a vast majority of demons (But lower than Lucifer and his generals) and was originally sent up to collect John Constantine. But after seeing how the gang were ‘made’ decided to stick around.

He usually has a mix of blues and reds braided hair and wears hoodies that are much too big for him, even tho he is like 5’ 11” and has a good layer of fat and muscle on him, that are usually Fenrir’s, and sweatpants. Only serves the ‘goods’ when going to important meetings, demonic usually, or working. Prefers kitten high heels, but uses his wings to fly as well. Nicknamed ‘the lazy devil’ by Fenrir.

Will only have ‘fun’ with others if his husband can join or if he becomes a ‘she’ to gain more power. If you think Symbiotic!Reader’s way of dealing with bad people is gory and not for the faint of heart, do not watch Amor work.

Able to drain other’s powers or life force while in range or from him simply talking to them. He tends to poison the minds of those that he targets with letting the target think that they are hurting others (hitting kids, wife, etc), but in reality they are hurting themselves (hitting walls, own face, etc)

Even though I've read a good amount of 60s Flash comics, I still don't think Barry Allen is my favourite character with superspeed. Quicksilver is a lot more fun to me, and even the 40s Jay Garrick sounds more fun and silly to me (some of the 40s comics sound very lighthearted and fun, but I can't read them because they're all in bad quality. sigh...).

But I found that I didn't really like Iris West, and that Barry Allen was okay (just not my favourite character). Really, the saving grace is the villians. Captain Cold, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang, The Trickster, they're all such good villians. I love them and their gimmicks. I almost want to see Quicksilver deal with Flash's rogues. That way, we combine the superspeed character I prefer with the villians i love. That might be cool.

I can see Astarion lording his power as yuu's "sibling" (if that bit is canon) over the others like "I'm their sibling, I get a say on who they're dating." Only for the other tadpoles to be like "dude we know by now that was a lie lmao ur not actually their 'big brother'" and then he goes off to sulk in a corner.

On Astarion, I could see him approving of Vil, Azul and the Tweels? Based on his reaction to Ethel/general goofy blood-lust (lol literally) maybe the tweels would be his favourites as teens he can tolerate, whether or not yuu should be dating them though... I can also see him, on one hand relating to jamil's struggles as a servant, and on another hand being pissy, because what's he got to complain about Kalim is annoying but seems to treat him well/put too much faith in him, back in His day the masters you rebelled against were horrible people (we get it astarion you have trauma). I can see him being slightly wary of Malleus, and simultaneously going "holy shit yuu get that bag!!! He's rich as fuck it doesn't matter if you actually like him, marry him for the money! (And then kill him)" Riddle would definitely annoy him, quite frankly I think a lot of the nrc boys would, though I think Rook would be highest on his list of "get the absolute fuck away from me and that tiefling kid I totally dont care about rn".

I can see Gale quite approving of Trey, bc cooking/baking skills, plus he just seems like such a nice young chap! The teeth thing is a little odd but hey we all have strange interests! I think Deuce's heartfelt will to be a better person for his mother would probably strike a chord in him too, he might try and take the poor boy under his wing lol.

Shadowheart is tricky to me, but maybe Jamil? Or Vil? Both are sort of trying to get away from their past and become greater, maybe that would resonate with her. Plus theyre both kinda catty as well. Tbh I just feel like she'd sit in the background sipping wine and making pointed remarks at almost all of them lol. Pretwnds shes above getting invested in teen drama but is always conveniently nearby whenever vil and leona are arguing. (So is Astarion.) Ace might be good actually, as a trickster who is rather mean to everyone, including yuu, but is also impressively ride ir die/protective of them (remember when he punched riddle for being mean to yuu in twst canon? He's a softies for his friends I just know it) Tbh I think either someone she can tease, or someone she can get into a playful bitch-fit with would be good in her book as long as they're treating yuu right.

Lae'zel approves of none of them. They are all distractions from her Gi's training and all are unworthy. They cannot even best the owlbear in single combat. (Imagine her making an offhand comment and some of the more foolhardy boys take this as a challenge lol) Floyd makes a comment about "squeezing his shrimpy" and Lae'zel immidiently instructs yuu on how to crush his ass flat. On one hand, I don't think she'd react well to him calling them food. (From her perspective lol) On the other hand, since physically fighting your lover seems to be a thing for gith, maybe she'd approve of the "courting method" (even if he meant it fully platonically lmao). I think if anyone, Jack's seriousness and drive to improve himself through training might fufill the "bare minimum" for her. Sebeck's loud devotion to Malleus might remind herself of what she was like with Vlakeeth, I wonder how that dynamic would go. Actually she might rather like him, he's trained in combat (silver would be a contender, but his sleeping problem would probably make him unreliable in her eyes), and her and Sebeck sort of speak the same language in a sense, with the whole "I am superior to you and will give you backhanded compliments whenever I try to say smth nice". The fact that he's a dragonborn might help too, from what I remember of Lae's dialouge when I played as one she warmed up to me quicker I think lol. Actually, I wonder if Lae'zel would outright remind Yuu of Sebeck, since the more I think about it the more they seem kinda similar.

I think Wyll would probably like Jack too, along with Deuce, the pair of good boys. He would be able to bond a bit with Deuce over knowing what its like to dissapoint a parent, though his case was much more severe. I think he would absolutely be wary of Azul, considering the whole deal maker thing (especially if magical contracts were brought into play), though honestly I think any boy could win him over of they prove to be genuinely interested in yuu and treating them well lol. Actually, maybe he could resonate with Leona a bit on struggling to live up to parental expectations? Though he'd probably try to gently encourage him to like take up a non-destructive hobby or something.

Oh my god I can't believe I forgot Ruggie when talking abt Astarion. Astarion Absolutely approves of/likes Ruggie. Scratch the tweels, that's his new favourite lol.

I can see Karlach as being similar to Wyll, where she ultimately doesn't rly care abt how yuu is dating as long as the person in question treats them right. Though I can see her really getting along with Kalim, as fellow upbeat party people (aside from the culture shock between rich and poor lol), though I can also see her gently trying to nudge him to become more independent for his own sake lol. (If they're somehow meeting the twst boys pre end of journey, you cannot tell me they don't both think it's a good idea for kalim to use his um on her to try and cool her down, if ums r a thing here lol). I can see her finding Riddle stressful to be honest, why is this small red child giving her homework? She's an adult, and she'd rather not have to read a book of 810 rules today, thank you. She might not say that directly to his face though. I can see her being... wary? A little concerned of boys who appear friendly but you just know are hiding smth, especially if they're rich/business folk cough cough gortash cough cough. (Can't wait to see how yuu reacts to him lmao). I imagine her finding the first year's sweet, since they seem to be such a bonded group lol.

Halsin is another one where I feel like it doesn't rly matter much to him as long as yuu is happy :). Though maybe any boys who are druids may have an edge?

Minthara (if here) approves of absolutely none of them. They are all men, absolutely not. If you really must have a date, yuu, come with her and you two can scope out some more worthy options.

Overall I would like to speculate that, from most to least picky/judgemental abt yuu's dating life, would be: Minthara (If present), Lae'zel, Astarion, Shadowheart, Wyll, Gale, Karlach, Halsin.

Though imagining the eventual reaction of the twst boys to yuu coming home from a horrifying adventure with 6-8 new familial figures is funny.

"Yuu is that- oh gods that's clearly a vampire right next to you ok don't panic ill save you- WHAT DO YOU MEAN "YOU ADOPTED HIM"?" (Astarion jumps in to loudly protest that he the one who did the adopting. Everyone ignores him)

Not to mention the bg3 crew coming together to collectively beat Crowley's ass. They're literally saviours of the world at this point with the skills/power to back it up, what can he really do against them? Crewel just stands back and watches, sipping his coffee and covertly giving them a thumbs up.

Do you have any thoughts on what grim is in this au? Would be funny if he was like, a baby tressym for Tara to fuss over. Or maybe an actual powerful wizard cursed to live in the body of a cat? Who knows.

Yuu comes back from their lifechanging quest to save the world like: "hey guys!! I'm a proper bard now :))" and all their nrc friends are like. "That's cool yuu. Who are all those wierd looking adults behind you that are staring into our souls and where did you get those animals from."

Actually it might be funny if each bg3 companion resonated with one dorm, though I would say it's kinda unrealistic lol. But my organisation brain loves it. Astarion obvi has to be Octoville, Lae'zel I think would work for either Diasomnia or Savanaclaw (both have aspects I think she would like but I also think she'd have issues with certain people), Karlach is Scarabia and not just bc fire=hot, but bc I just think she would vibe so hard with Kalim. She might have a little brother now who's to say. I think Gale could work well with Indihyde (how did I not mention idia in his section. The isolation from ppl/general wasting away alone, I think gale would probably actually take this one under his metaphorical wing and try to gently push idia out of his comfort zone, to the poor boy's discomfort) Wyll is tricky, maybe Diasomnia? Or heartsaybul?? Honestly I have no idea. Shadowheart also stumps me a bit, bit probably Pomifore. Halsin is probably Savanaclaw tbh, and Minthara (again if here), really only would work with Pomifore. That's based more off the vibes of the dorm than the actual characters in them though. Actually, maybe Gale would see the Queen of Hearts rules as a fun little challenge/cultural exchange sort of thing, maybe one of the only ones in the bg3 group who would be excited about and genuinely try to memorise them all. He'd also call out when the others slip up, much to everyone (specifically Astarion)'s annoyance.

While Astarion getting to pretend to be the insufferable elder brother he was destined to be is part of an AU focusing on him as the “player” character, I will tell you for free that he and Yuu manage to keep up the sibling act at least until Act 2, when the Shadow-Cursed lands’ lack of nutrition forces them to come clean about the whole “vampire” thing.

Gale, Shadowheart, and Wyll are scandalized. Karlach’s half convinced they’re still related somehow. Lae’zel doesn’t understand what sib-lings are and doesn’t want to.

But no, yeah, I personally headcanon that Astarion is the one who overhears Yuu defending themself from Withers’ questioning of their single status by claiming they’re interested in someone from their old mercenary group rather than any of their current companions…

And once that little tidbit gets shared around the tadpole, and sundry members of that mercenary group start popping up in the Shadow-Cursed lands and in Baldur’s Gate?

Let’s just say Yuu is receiving a lot of unsolicited advice on their taste in men and who is suitable enough to date them.

(Yes, Minthara is there. I accidentally knocked her out because I forgot to turn off the setting after Ethel’s lair, saved her to help bust the prisoners out of Moonrise, and then was weak to puppy-dog eyes when Yuu tried to tell her “I’m still mad about the attempted murder over the grove, go away”. Halsin took being kicked out of his tent with exceptional grace.)

Also Malleus is a black dragon who’s just reached the age where he can take on a human form, though he’s not quite mastered hiding his horns, tail, or various scales depending on his emotions. Astarion and Karlach both get deja vu when they meet him…

The Night Raven mercenaries, for their part, also have opinions about Yuu’s new travelling companions.

These tend to range from excited (“Ah, Yuu, these are the guys you’re travelling with now?! It’s great to meet you!! Hey, hey, Jamil, we should throw a party to celebrate!”) to curious (“Eh, Shrimpy, are you sure these guys are strong? Maybe I should put ‘em through their paces t’ make sure, ehhehehe~”) to opportunistic (“So now that you’re a hero, you won’t go forgetting any of your old buddies, right? It’s good to help out the less fortunate, shihihi.”) to wary (“Y-Y-Yuu-sshi, you do know th-that’s a githyanki, right?? And a devil?? And a vampire, and a Sharran?!? I-it’s like a buffet of super elite flee on sight mooks here, what—whAT DO YOU MEAN THE OTHER TWO ARE GOING TO EXPLODE—?!”) to disdainful (“Hmph. I suppose such ruffians are suited to your scaleless company, but THEY ARE FAR TOO UNPOLISHED TO BASK IN THE GLORY OF LORD MALLEUS!!”) to fervent (“Ah, mon cher ‘tit Trickster, how interessante your friends are! And you are certain I cannot study them more closely?”) to mildly insecure (“W-well ‘s not like it matters because Yuu was adventuring with us first, so—no I’m not bein’ weird Deuce, shutUP!”).

Yuu’s former coworkers all more surprised by Scratch the dog than Munch the owlbear, to be honest. After all, Yuu has a history of getting soft spots for gluttonous little creatures who look cute but will grow into something dangerous. But Yuu being a dog person?! Who could have seen that one coming??

They just hope that this time will go better than it did with that cat-like monster who wanted to be a wizard in the Hells…

Now for those who watched Geats and you should its good. Robby is more in line with Buffa or Michinaga. As Tanner and Michinaga's actor look rather similar, And both Robby and Michinaga both being characters who are fueled by their anger. But I felt Tory is more similar to Buffa as they are just fueled by anger and pretty much become mostly cartoonish like villians until they start mellowing out later in show.

Miguel makes more sense to me as Tycoon than as Geats, as started off as a naive idealstic person but throughout the course of the show grew as a person and a fighter becoming one of the best.

Robby as Geats is a hard one. While Geats has Mommy issues, Robby has Daddy issues. Geats defientaly more laid back than Robby, plays more of trickster like chaacter, which can be a connection to pre-karate Robby.

Sam as Na-Go, just an unbeat girl who wants to liver her own life and make her own name outside her wealthy family. Family has a dark past.

Okay, considering I do believe this is in genuinely good faith, I am going to try to explain several things, including why me and other catwin shippers take a stance of "he did nothing wrong" in certain posts.

I can't know for certain which posts you are referring to, and I do know several of them are jokes. Most people who like the ship are aware Cat King certainly isn't an angel and is definitely morally gray character.

The issue is that a lot of people make him much worse than he is. I have seen posts that he is a pure villian, some people hate him more that ESTHER, who full on tortures Edwin and kills Niko. I am not even gonna get into the whole pedophile discussions bc that point has been explained at lenght by other people.

The problem isn't saying the Cat King's actions are questionable, nor that he is flawed. What I think bothers most people is taking them out of the context od the story.

This isn't a story about a highschooler Edwin being pursued by a much older guy in a modern setting and him trying to coerce him into sex. This is a story about two supernatural beings, one of which who is a trickster and a shapeshifter.

From a narrative perspective, Cat King is more of a plot device than a fully formed character. We actually know very little about him. He is there to help Edwin realize his feelings. Is it in always appropriate ways? No! Is it in an innocent, pure way Charles(and in part Monty) do? Also no! But that isn't what this is about. Similiarly to the Goblin King in the Labyrinth, Cat King is here to entice Edwin, to show him his fantasies and desires. Facing what you want after years and years of repression isn't pleasant. It's a metaphor-again, Cat King himself is more of a metaphor for desire than anything else.

Which is why I think constant discussions about him being a predator and bad are pointless. He is a fantasy. All of this is. He is meant to represent something you want but are too scared to ask for. If anything, we see how his demeanor transforms and weakens as Edwin accepts those desires.

And yes, some of it will always be problematic. But I am seriously tired of this constant moralization of a ship and a character that keep taking him out of the story context. Of course if someone told you irl you have to sleep with them to get out of town or risk being in danger is awful. But in fiction, it's a metaphor for feeling stuck and caged by a shameful desire, unable to move forward without facing them. That Edwin was only able to leave after he faced the Cat King as equal, and accepting him and through him, himself.

A big part of this fandom is queer and we love this character because of what he represents. I won't say some interpretations don't aoften him, but that's why it's fanfiction. Everyone with common sense knows he is not 100% good guy eith pure intentions

I find it alarming how many people seem to genuinely believe the cat king did nothing wrong to Edwin. I’ve seen multiple post about it, all with thousands of notes. I even got comments like this on my own post simply because one line described his actions as manipulative.

And don’t get me wrong. He’s one of my favorite characters. He’s funny and campy and complex and does both good and bad things. What he does to Edwin definitely falls into the bad category, and the fact that so many people can’t recognize his actions as coercive makes me genuinely worried about their perceptions on consent.

So let’s break it down

1. He uses Edwin’s repressed attraction to unknowingly place a magical item on his body.

2. He offers him two choices: a sexual relationship or to count all the cats in Port Townsend. Yes, this is a doable task, but it’s a time consuming one, and there is a dangerous witch after them. Even if the cat kings intention here isn’t to wear Edwin down, and even if Edwin never gives in to his advances, it’s still coercive because it creates a binary choice between have sex with the cat king or risking real harm coming to Edwin and his friends.

3. The cat king keeps tabs on everything Edwin does and uses that information to approach him when he’s vulnerable. He uses that information to toy with Edwin. He shapeshifts into men that he knows Edwin is attracted to. He uses his powers to get personal truths from Edwin that arnt his to have. He saves Edwin but then gets angry when Edwin doesn’t immediately fold to his advances, as if he thinks Edwin owes him affection as a form of gratitude. He threatens Edwin directly when Edwin gets tired of his bull shit. No he doesn’t follow through on those threats, but your bark *is* your bite. Meaning, threats are an act of violence in and of themselves, especially those given by people with more power than the person receiving the threat.

4. Yes the cat king has the whole silly little pathetic guy vibe going on. Yes he is lonely. None of that frames his actions as justifiable, not within the narrative and certainly not outside of it.

5. Yes Edwin thanks him. Yes he validates the cat king by pointing out their similarities, but that’s more so to emphasize Edwin’s own development and growing self awareness. In a lot of ways, it mirrors the scene where Edwin chooses to reach out a hand to Simon despite what Simon did to him. What it isn’t is absolution. It isn’t the stories way of saying this guy was good the whole time actually

Finally I’ll say this. To love a character, you have to actually understand the character, and if you really think the cat king did nothing wrong, or that his actions didn’t mess with the boundaries of consent, then you don’t love the cat king. You love a character you wish he was.

I really think that Felix is the perfect name for a black cat & bad luck themed protag so it's hard to think of an alternative. Calvin came to mind. Asher too.

I chose a seaside town to allow for ocean themed monsters to play a part. Also the fake city means I can play with fake holidays and feativals

Marinas family working a restaurant means cute opportunities to have Felix work for them because brr

Fairy Rings being a plot point to allow more faeries to arrive and cause problems (or help out) outside the Nullbeasts. It also opens up more villians and such.

Faeries, being independent tricksters who abide by contracts offer more fun than the obedient kwami do

I would also implement Atlantis as a huge lore point, It would also fit the nautical theme.

The series would revolve heavily around emotions and how to deal with them and why each emotion happens. Things like anger and grief are good emotions because they help you deal and sort out trauma and relations with others.

the trickster wasn't sure if he should be insulted by that distinction or not... while it was 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 that loki was no longer being forced into the role of the evil mastermind, he was certainly no hero either. the god couldn't be boxed in by ❛ good ❜ and ❛ bad ❜, and they liked it that way.

What makes Double Birds rare?

When I wrote that, I only had my *own* data to work from, and was not ... super good at spotting Double Birds. Now that I've got everyone's data, I can say that Double Birds are actually very middle-of-the-pack. Easily the most common fictional Bird primary sorting. (Don't have enough *real* people data to say much about what's common/rare in real life.) That makes perfect sense: Double Bird is a great Mentor sorting, and a really great Weird Villain sorting. So it gets a lot of play.

If anyone's interested at how the rest of them shake out, as of 2.4.22:

DOUBLE LION (The Revolutionary) - 73 (Actually I'm surprised that this one gets the top spot. I guess, if absolutely nothing else, these guys Make Plots Happen. The hero sorting if you're worried that Badger Lion is too obvious or boring?)

SNAKE LION (The Lancelot) - 69 (Very easy to write, very versatile. Also, an easy way to get some conflict going. Give that Snake primary a loyalist choice to make... and that Lion secondary is going make sure they do something dramatic.)

DOUBLE SNAKE (The Trickster) - 65 (The fun villian, the agent of chaos, who doesn't love a Double Snake? Another way to just Start Conflict)

SNAKE BIRD (The Villain/Mastermind) - 59 (standard villain sorting)

BADGER LION (The Protagonist) - 57 (standard hero sorting)

MIDDLE-OF-THE-PACK

SNAKE BADGER (The Lover) - 48 (standard love interest sorting)

LION BADGER (The Linchpin) - 38 (Very similar to the Double Badger - because chances are decent that these guys will have a lion primary that spends a lot of time looking like a badger primary)

LION BIRD (The Lawman/Vigilante) - 32 (we're starting to get into character types that you only really need for specific types of stories)

BIRD LION (The Grail Knight) - 31 (Look, bird primaries are the hardest to write, and you need to spend some quality time with a character before the Bird primary is obviously a *Bird* primary, and not one of the others. If we're not writing about the data-gathering Bird secondary, actually laying down the building blocks of a primary - they can be hard to write, and harder to spot.)

BIRD BADGER (The Survivor) - 26 (^ that Bird primary thing again)

BADGER SNAKE (The Counselor) - 24 (There's a contradiction at the heart of this sorting that makes them really interesting, rewarding, but challenging to write about. Because we're talking about someone who's worth, value, and purpose come from the community, but is comfortable manipulating the community in order to help them.)

BIRD SNAKE (The Artist) - 18 (You need to be a *good* writer to write one of these and end up with a character that even makes sense)

Dadschlatt!Tommy AU Lore

Alright I’m just going to put some concepts I have figured out for this AU, some that correlate directly to the ‘story’ I’m trying to make and others just points on how the world works. Keep in mind though this is just loose ideas and can change to whatever BUT here we go:

Basic World Lore

Respawning exists, however only when you hit a certain age are you able to do so. Usually, ‘respawn’ age is between 10-13, however there are cases where it was either earlier or later, but extremely rare

Aging is very slow, but does occur, and only slows down once you hit the age of 20-25(ish)

The basics of Minecraft exist as well, such as transporting to other worlds and just the regular shenanigans. However, everyone has a ‘spawn world’ in which they originate from and have to stay in until they hit ‘respawn’ age. People can create worlds, but it takes a lot of energy and is usually a group effort! And the effort to keep it open for other players can be particularly exhausting to some players, hence why some worlds get closed off indefinitely

There are some that never gain the ability to respawn, and are stuck to certain worlds for the rest of their lives; hence why some servers live on even if the ‘main people’ aren't around anymore and no ‘respawners’ can go in without the original owner opening it up again

General Ideas for the AU

The ‘pre-story’ takes place in Schlatt’s tekkit playthrough, because I honestly thought it would be cool to see him struggle with running a business and raise his wittle son

Ty does not get paid enough to babysit the gremlin child, since Tommy is very much a handful. However, they do get pretty close and Tommy considers him his ‘big brother who is also dumb and doesn’t get paid’

Schlatt is more of a trickster than a full-on villian in this plot, and is easily intimidated by bigger competition. Is in most of his schemes for the laugh, even though he’s scarily good at making deals

Tommy shows more of an interest in fighting than the technology, but shares his dad’s charisma and ability to scam. He usually only uses it for pranks and Schlatt makes an effort to get his skills into fighting since it seemed like a better outlet than Tommy becoming Schlatt v2

Wilbur n Schlatt know each other and are around the same age, but their last meeting was before Tommy was born. Hence why Wilbur does not know anything about Tommy when he is first found

Schlatt also knows Philza from his Hexxit run, though again this was before Tommy was born

The Seperation/How Tommy got into SBI Ideas

Tommy is around 5 when he gets separated from Schlatt via an explosion at the company, in which Schlatt thinks Tommy is dead

Which is true, Tommy died in the explosion, but by some miracle, he had the ability to respawn. However, the respawn was very glitched in response to his age, and thus was transported to another world to respawn. The SBI world

Because of that glitch as well, all his ‘ram/goat’ traits were removed and to the others he looked like a normal lil gremlin boy

The traits are still there, but will only begin to show again once he gets older and his ‘glitchness’ starts to heal in a sense

Those traits will only grow faster when he’s around his real dad :)
