Not really sure where to go with this but I realized (when looking at the wiki for text) that the logo for Takoil (aka “The Octopus Oil Company”) looks a lot like the logo on the Eye of Justice helmet (Team Order headgear from Splatoon 2).

They’re not identical, so could be a coincidence, BUT it did make me think of how Side Order looks like it will have a heavy theme of pollution and its effects on coral/oceans/life in general. The fish enemies are also covered in a black substance which, tying into the theme, could be supposed to look like petroleum (made of decomposed marine organisms); a crude oil used to make gasoline.

#the boy and the heron #not tagging wish 'cause i'm being a little acidic #this isn't to be negative in the slightest--I really respect both films--but it's interesting to see how visceral boy+H gets with its story #what evils have to be rejected and what they represent--and how characters and the world suffer from those evils--as well as how the whole #'rejecting' part goes. in terms of animation powerhouses discussing their legacies - disney and miyazaki both - I find it interesting that #one makes a pretty safe and nostalgic movie about imagination and dreams; the other is a long trudge through the land of the dead.#b+h is a hard watch - and a look at the legacy of a man questioning his whole purpose in the world - after his cultural touchstones #have long passed by. Mahito needs to understand his grief to keep living--but if he drowns in it he'll just continue the cannibalistic and #violent world of his granduncle. how the hell do you make art when the trauma of your entire life has colored it forever? Guys, idk about anyone else but I'm starting to suspect the reason why Zahard was angry at Arlene and his motivations as a character might be a bit more layered than simply having his proposal rejected...🤔 Almost like his choices might be based on his ideals and not simply love triangle drama and the greatest war in the history of the Tower, kickstarted by V and Arlene, might have tarnished his proudest accomplishment and goal.

#Tower of God #Zahard #Zahard has that low empathy swag there I said it #Maybe he didn't show “interest” in the tower inhabitants as V did but his entire dream revolved around creating better conditions for them #Whereas one of the most popular (for a reason) theories out there would have V sacrifice them as means to an end #Similar to what the data of the young Hansung says to Batis at the end of the hidden floor arc #yes that goal went sideways a bit but also succeeded in other parts #I just think it's neat a character perceived as so “other” and cold has (and I will maintain this until hard proof to the contrary exists)#such an altruistic dream kept close to his heart #one I doubt data Edahn at the least knew about? Bc otherwise his brief description of Zahard to Bam should look a bit different

Here's what I want. A book club. But not just any "we meet once a month and discuss the books, but it's really mostly about the wine hahahahahahAHAHAHahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!" sort of club.

I want a book club for Book Fans. A Book Fandom club. I want a book club where we will read a book together and collectively go insane about it. We will lose our minds obsessing over the details. Comb through to find every drop of foreshadowing, symbolism, references, little jokes. We will make fanart and write fanfic. We will decide who is a Blorbo and who is a Babygirl and we will ship them - or we will send our clubmates death threats because they ship them.

We will not simply read the books. We will C O N S U M E T H E M E D I A .

And then, after we've thoroughly picked it apart, we will say: Alright, that was fun. What next? I think it was your turn to pick, right?

Honestly I thought I made the blue too light in colour and the teal too grey, which was the intention but I thought it could’ve been too difficult to notice from anyone who wasn’t told about it
