Day 23: stormy night
Masterlist flufftober 🎃
Reblog if you liked it!
You were sitting comfortably on your sofa, watching who knows what on TV while listening to the shower blending with the storm raging outside.
Unfortunately for your boyfriend, the weather event had caused a power outage in his building, so he called you to see if he could spend the night with you. He needed to shower, iron his clothes in the morning, charge his phone, and review some work files, making it impossible to do those tasks in the dark.
They say that the misfortune of some is the fortune of others, for although your boyfriend had to step out of his comfort zone, you were extremely grateful that he was there. You hated storms; they always made you very nervous, and you usually couldn’t sleep when one was raging outside. That’s why you were happy.
Maybe it was a somewhat archaic idea; however, having your man at home made you feel extremely safe and protected.
You were covered with a gray diamond-patterned blanket, waiting for the hot chocolate in your kettle to finish boiling when you heard the sound of water in the bathroom stop. You knew that Spencer was probably too tired to want anything more than a quiet night, so when you headed toward the bathroom, you did so with no other intention.
You knocked twice, just as a matter of courtesy, and he opened the door. He was wearing a red robe with a black trim, and in his hands rested a brown towel that he was likely about to use to dry his hair.
As soon as he saw you, he asked if something was wrong, given your anxious expression. You still hadn’t dared to tell him about your fear of storms, so he couldn’t know.
“It’s nothing. I just wanted to see you,” you replied, moving closer to him to try to hug him.
“You’re going to get soaked,” he murmured. Still, he didn’t reject the contact.
“You’re so warm; how is that possible if you just showered?”
“The water. While cold temperatures have some extra health benefits, I always shower with hot water because it helps reduce tension in the muscles and relaxes me. It’s like… a moment to disconnect from everything.”
“I hope I’m not ruining it,” you murmured, looking up to meet his eyes.
The height difference between you was something that had always driven you crazy, especially the way he looked at you—with so much love.
“Not at all. You’re actually improving it.” You were about to say something else when a thunderclap resonated in the distance, making you jump into your boyfriend’s arms “Are you scared?”
“A little,” you replied tersely. You didn’t want to look silly in front of him, plus it was a rather childish fear. “The storms, the thunder, and all that… they startle me. That’s all.”
“Did you know it's called astraphobia? The irrational fear of thunder, lightning, and storms in general,” he began to ramble. “It’s a fairly common phobia that can cause intense anxiety or even panic when people experience a storm, particularly electrical ones.”
“I didn’t know that.”
“But you shouldn’t be afraid; storms are part of the natural cycle of the Earth and help balance the atmosphere, providing water for plants and refreshing the air. Although lightning may seem dangerous, it’s very rare for it to strike a person since it generally falls on high points like trees or buildings. As for the sound of thunder, while loud, it can’t cause physical harm, as it’s just rapidly expanding air. Being at home is one of the safest places to be, as buildings are designed to withstand storms and safely discharge lightning energy…”
“Honey,” you interrupted him. Your hands went up to his neck. “You don’t have to fix it with science. Sometimes, I just want to hear that everything will be okay.”
The man felt embarrassed for rambling on about it, but to make up for it, he leaned down to give you a soft kiss.
“Everything is fine, baby. I’ll be with you.”
Another thunderclap resonated, and even though you felt uncomfortable, being with him made it more bearable.
“What would I do without my handsome, strong, and protective man?”
“Are you talking about me? Or are you cheating on me with someone else?”
You rolled your eyes at his joke and tried to walk away, but he pulled you back to ask for a kiss. You didn’t resist, of course.
“I made hot chocolate. Do you want a cup?”
“Uh-huh. Let me get dressed, and I’ll be with you in a moment.”
You went to the kitchen to meticulously prepare a couple of cups with the drink and made sure to include marshmallows, as he liked. Additionally, you added pumpkin spice that you had specifically bought for his visits, knowing it was one of his favorite flavors of autumn.
When Spencer came out, dressed in pajamas that looked too comfortable and warm, you felt happy watching him. You had already placed his cup on the desk where he would be setting up, where several files and notebooks were already resting.
He thanked you with a kiss on the forehead and took a seat, not daring to lie on the couch next to you because he knew he wouldn’t get up again after that.
“Do you need help with anything?” you offered, even if you knew it was probably work too complex for you to do.
“No, it’s not necessary. But if you want, you can stay and keep me company while I work. I’d feel much better,” he replied.
You hummed in agreement and settled back into the armchair, beginning to sip from your cup while keeping the TV off, knowing that Spencer was bothered by noise when he was working. You felt a bit like an intruder in his workspace, but the idea of having him close calmed you.
As Spencer reviewed the printed files, you decided to watch him. His expression was one of concentration, with his brow slightly furrowed and his jaw clenched. It was evident that he was absorbed in his world of research, perhaps analyzing a recent case or reviewing the reports he had received.
You remained silent for quite some time until your curiosity grew, and you dared to ask:
“Is it a lot of work?”
“Kind of. I need to check a couple of details before sending a summary to the office,” he replied without taking his eyes off the paper. The familiarity in his voice gave you a sense of connection, even though you weren’t directly interacting.
“Difficult case?”
“A bit. There are many variables involved. I’m trying to break down the information to make it easier to understand. Sometimes work can be a puzzle,” he said, and although he seemed immersed in his task, there was a tone of passion in his voice that made you admire him even more.
That said, you decided not to interrupt him while he continued working. In his world, he could be a bit more reserved, and while you wanted to know more, you also understood that he needed his space.
As time passed, the rain continued to hit the windows, creating an enveloping atmosphere. Spencer seemed completely absorbed in his task, and at some point, he looked up at you and smiled, albeit briefly, before returning to his concentration. It was a simple gesture, but it made you feel included in his world, even though he was focused on something else.
“You know? I’m glad I came here,” Spencer suddenly said, breaking the calm. “I mean, not just because of the electricity, but sometimes work can be exhausting, and… I know, I feel overwhelmed, like I have a million things on my mind. But when I’m with you, I feel like I can set all that aside. It’s like your presence gives me a breather.”
You looked into his eyes, searching for that sincerity that had always captivated you. It was a vulnerable moment, and you felt grateful for his trust. Without saying anything, you got up and went to him to sit on his lap, letting him wrap his arm around your waist.
You both remained silent for a moment, feeling the weight of the night and each other’s closeness. But it was also evident that the day had been long for him. You noticed the tension in his body manifesting in his posture (despite having showered), as his shoulders were slumped, and his gaze, though still bright, showed signs of fatigue.
“You're not done yet?” you asked softly, running your hands through his still slightly damp hair. You had bought him a conditioner that smelled delightful and gave a silky feel.
“I did. I just need to sign off on the file to submit it at the office tomorrow.”
The vulnerability in his voice resonated with you.
“Do you want us to go to bed then?” you suggested, even though you felt there was more you could share.
Your boyfriend nodded with his eyes closed, a clear sign of exhaustion, and you promised him you’d be with him as soon as you finished tidying up in the kitchen. Spencer organized the desk, and once everything was ready, both of you headed to the bedroom. It was a cozy space, with the lights off, and the sound of the storm could be heard through the window. You got into bed, and he quickly joined you.
When he wrapped his arms around you from behind, the warmth of his body enveloped you and you felt all the tension you had built up during the storm melt away. You nestled against him, enjoying the sensation of his closeness.
“I like being here with you,” he murmured as he wrapped his arm around you. Spencer took a moment to breathe deeply, as if he were grateful for the small moment you had “I always have trouble falling asleep, but with you in my arms, it’s not so difficult"
The sincerity of your boyfriend moved you, and you felt him place a soft kiss on your shoulder, to which you responded by leaning closer to him.
You both stayed silent for a while, listening to the sound of the rain beginning to diminish. The tranquility of the night was like a blanket wrapping around you.
Finally, as the heaviness of sleep started to assail you, you felt the weight of the day fade away.
“Goodnight, Spencer,” you said in a whisper, feeling the peace his presence brought you. “Love you.”
“Love you more,” he replied.
And as his eyes closed, you realized that despite the storms raging outside, there was a place where you both felt safe and comfortable.

oh gods
a menace
a complete menace i say
you know that thing cats do? when they just keep a direct eye contact with you as their little fluffy paw slowly pushes your potted plant or a cup full of drink to the edge of the table while you watch hopelessly bc your hands are dirty or busy doing smt?
yeah, it’s the 5th time the flower shop owner is seeing you this week and your wallet is crying
it’s almost as if you two were sworn enemies in your past life and scaranya is out for blood
doesn’t have that much of a zoomie episodes but when he does oh boy
you better retreat into a safe place but even then you’re not safe from scaranya’s terrifying zoomie powers
he’s literally running and jumping around everywhere
the table, on top of the fridge, the curtains, on top of the washing machine, your little bookshelf - everywhere
scaranya is such a little shit (affectionately)
his preferred way of waking you up is faking puking noises and when you throw your covers off and literally zoom into the living room, he gives you a look as if saying “finally awake, you silly human slave”
sometimes he even jumps on top of your chest harshly but that’s only used if you’re oversleeping with your alarm clock snoozed for the past 20 minutes and you’re running late to work
despises baths with a burning passion
if you’re taking him anywhere a large body of water is, he’s trashing around, kicking, hissing, biting, scratching - the whole pack
after a successful bathing time, with added new scratch marks on yourself, he would not approach you until you fall asleep
after you have fell asleep, he would quietly approach your sleeping figure and give small, shy licks to the angry red scratches he caused as if apologizing for being so aggressive
hates rainy days too, especially the ones with thunder and lightning
jumps up 5 ft into the air if a thunder strikes and runs into your lap, shaking small body curling into himself with all of his cockiness and pride out the window
scaranya appreciates you greatly but he’s just a bit too bad at communicating and so he shows his affection by lapping up the scratches he gave you
“scaranya, aren’t you gonna go out to the back garden and play with the rest? it’s nice outside today”
hmph! what do you mean by play with the rest of the cats? he’s a royal! he’s superior! scaranya has never heard of such bullshit befor- oh! a bird! must. catch!
scaranya and miao gets into fights sometimes and whenever you separate them, scaranya goes to sulk in the corner of the house silently
until you go over to him with a sigh and pick him up gently, he doesn’t even resist - just choosing to simply curl his tail around your wrist
a solid 9/10 kitty if he would just stop being a tsundere
art by Mechodes on twt
miao acts more like a guard dog than a cat sometimes
the smallest out of all the kitties yet also the strongest one. honestly the sheer amount of times miao has taken down a wild dog 10 times his size just keeps giving you more and more heart attack
doesn’t get zoomies, if anything he stops the other kitties’ zoomies if they go a bit too far - which most of the times escalate into scaranya and miao fighting
cleanse the land house through slaughter bug hunting
a sweet baby
miao’s preferred way of waking you up is to silently sit on your side of the bed and stare until you get that feeling of being watched and wake up to 2 piercing yellow eyes just staring holes into your soul
yes, you have yelled and fell off of your bed many times due to that
you found little miao at a dark alleyway, covered in blood and barely on the brink of death with his tiny paws twitching constantly
grew up malnourished on the streets with his 4 siblings dying out one by one, so due to that miao’s body is very small and he’s extremely territorial with you - his one and only sweet human
always leaves his scent on you by rubbing his head around your ankles
miao is indifferent when it comes to taking a bath, unlike scaranya, and he can be very obedient as well
when rubbing soap into his legs and washing his paws he would stretch out his limbs to make it easier for you to wash him - anything to lessen the load of his favorite human
he also seems to like your co-worker, zhongli a lot
one time you came home with zhongli due to a deadline of a great project coming closer and upon seeing him, miao immediately jumped into his lap, purring lowly, rubbing his head on zhongli’s hand
yes your heart broke at the betrayal and yes miao apologized with a dead rat in his mouth
but if it’s any other guests you’re bringing home, then miao would either get on top of the fridge and simply watch or hiss at the guest
oddly likes being in high places
one time, you made him a small necklace-collar thingy out of a few pearls and he wears that with pride, chest puffed out (a replica of his necklace)
loves sleeping on the lower parts of your bed at night. it’s soft, fluffy and he can keep an eye on you and keep you safe so it’s a win-win in miao’s book
“miao-miao, do you wanna come with me to the back garden to pick up the tomatoes?”
before you can even finish your question he’s already at the back door, staring at you expectantly with his tail thumping slowly against the floorboards
thanks to miao and kazunya your house will never get any bugs, roaches or mouses inside
if feeling incredibly vulnerable and soft, miao paws at your arm to ask for pets bc he just needs the comfort of his favorite human
literally a 9/10 kitty if he would just change his way of waking you up

heinya is another little shit (affectionately)
he likes to cause trouble and drama here and there
also really enjoys spilling tea to you
it doesn’t matter if you’re waking up and is still groggy or just coming in through the front door, back from work - heinya is spilling all the drama of the shows he watched on the tv while you were away or the different birds he saw through the window - meowing away at you excitedly
another helpful hand
if you’re coming back from grocery shopping then heinya can take some of the smallest and lightest bagged things and dragging them to the kitchen alongside miao, kazunya and nyaether
heinya’s preferred way of waking you up is to make biscuits - you know that cute thing cats do with their paws squishing at their favorite spot over and over - on your stomach or lower back or! he just meows besides your ear over and over until you eventually wake up
the perfect alarm - heinya
he’s such a sweet baby
and heinya really likes watching real life crime documentaries for some reason
at first when you found this out, you couldn’t help but think heinya is going to murder you in your sleep but soon you realized he just loves crime related things
and bc he like crime related things, you bought heinya a cute spy glass shaped squeaky toy
when getting the zoomies, heinya decides to bite and kick at the spy glass shaped squeaky toy - making the toy let out squeaks at every little kick
heinya enjoys spending time outdoors, sniffing at the different scents wafting in the air, tracking down all different sorts of footsteps and paw marks with great interest - you sometimes wonder if heinya was a detective in his past life
loves to bring you all sorts of interesting things he found - an old ripped part of a newspaper article, a weirdly shaped leaf, a flower he has never seen before, a half bitten chicken still warm - wait where’d he get this?
loves to sleep using your hand as a pillow my cat does that to me so rip bc you have been captured by the amazing detective heinya and you won’t be moving for hours on end, let’s hope you had a nice snack and a toilet break beforehand
chose to wear the smooth, black satin you tied around his neck as a collar - either bc he loves to wear soft things or he just loves it bc you gave it to him
heinya is an incredibly affectionate kitty, always meowing for you for pets, cuddles and perhaps his favorite soft wet food? he’s been really good!
doesn’t really mind taking baths as well, if anything he uses this opportunity to shake bubbles everywhere!
for some reason, also loves to groom your hand. maybe it’s just something your kitties all share?
overall another solid 9/10 kitty, if you don’t mind being splashed with water and bubbles while bathing him
art by @bbadtime on tumblr
kazunya, me beloved
literally an angel, how could you ever be mad at him even as he took a whole bite out of your potted plants’ leaf?
another kitty that loves staying in high places like miao and stay outdoors like heinya
joins miao on his duty to cleanse the land house through slaughter bug hunting from time to time
a lazy, sweetheart of a cat that loves to sleep on warm places and the sunlight - you literally had to buy a window sling just for him to nap under the sunlight
another helpful hand!
will drag the lightest and smallest bagged things to the kitchen whenever you come back from grocery shopping - more so if it’s cat food
isn’t a picky eater but sometimes, just sometimes, prefers food with fish in it’s ingredients
kazunya is mostly tasked to wake you up by the other kitties bc he’s the sweetest
wakes you up by purring and snuggling with your face, neck, hands - anything just you in general
soon enough, the small fluff purring and cuddling you wakes you up and as a reward for waking up, kazunya gives you a small kiss - a lick to the tip of your nose - making you laugh
doesn’t meow a lot, only when he has to or if it’s an emergency such as the litter boxes not being cleaned, the food trays being empty etc
always gives you a kazunya kiss as a thank you
a gentle baby, even to the guests
whenever a guest comes over to your house, they always gush about the cute white cat with a small red streak in his fur
kazunya doesn’t get zoomies. even if he does it’s rare like only once a week
always grooms himself to keep himself clean, not to mention his white fur sparkling as well
surprisingly enjoys bath times, would even suggest you to bathe him by tugging on your sleeve then pointing to the bathroom with his fluffy paw!
however there’s just one thing that kazunya does that makes you shiver
it’s that he always, always! brings you dead animals or bugs. birds, rats, mouses, cockroaches, crickets - anything that he managed to hunt - he brings over to you with his tail swishing happily behind him
it’s considered a gift in cat language, you know that! but it’s just a bit dirty especially if he brings over different bugs. the rats, mouses and birds you can handle but the bugs brrr
one time, kazunya proudly brought you a dead wolf spider as you held back a tear and a screech, deciding to take his gift with a forced smile
you never recovered from that
a 10/10 kitty if he would just stop bringing you dead spide - kazunya is that a mf dead tarantula in your mouth?

another best kitty!
a sweet kitty that never complains!
helpful, never complains, never picky with his food - a literal angel
however sometimes nyaeather disappears randomly, coming back after a day or so
he always seems to be searching for something - his twin - you soon found out, by registering him and getting his pet password
and so you decided to help him reunite with his twin by putting up posters, articles, news on the internet, tv, radio - anything to make nyaether happy
after a whole half year of dedication and endless search, nyaether’s twin was finally found!
turns out the person who adopted nyaether’s twin was your co-worker, dainsleif, the quiet and mysterious tall man
after talking to him about the situation of the twin kitties, you both have come to an agreement to let the kitties have a play date once a week
when the day of the first play date has arrived an someone knocked on your door, your kitties gave you a confused look
upon taking nyaether in your arms, you walked over to the front door before unlocking it and letting dainsleif inside. as the blond man placed down the catbag and opened it, from inside stepped out a cute, similarly blonde furred kitty with a baby blue colored collar
upon seeing the kitty, nyaether jumped out of your arms and tackled his twin. cuddling her and licking at her face with a teary eyes - you and your co-worker dainsleif couldn’t help but laugh at the adorable situation
since then nyaether had made a silent oath to always be beside you and be your best kitty! you have done a lot for him by helping him reunite with his twin - nyumine - so he would do anything in his power to lessen your load!
nyaether’s preferred way of waking you up is by giving a gentle meow beside your ear and give your cheek three kisses - repeat the process on the other side until you eventually giggle and wake up
another kitty that doesn’t mind taking baths! however he just prefers the water to have a bit of bubbles to soothe his nerves
likes to sleep in your arms since he has separation anxiety like scaranya - due to the incident with his twin
“nyaether, keep the others in check okay? i’m going out on a quick grocery shopping!”
“myaaa!”
such a sweet baby🥹
his meows are higher pitched and not full “meow” like kazunya or miao’s instead it’s a short myaa!”
a solid 11/10 kitty. highly recommend, get yourself a nyaether today!
art by os_Amaniwa on twt
a little shit AND a menace (affectionately)
very hyper too! sometimes you wonder if nyenti has ADHD but in cat version
it’s like he’s always in his zoomie mode as if to make up for having 2 kitties that barely has zoomies - which are miao and kazunya
his affectionate attitude doesn’t help as well
twirling, rubbing himself on your lap, hand, bageling his way around you - he’s always sticking close to you 24/7
one time as nyenti was rubbing himself on your hand while you were working on your computer for an important document, he tripped and fell on your keyboard - deleting your entire progress of work with a “myeeew!”
yes, you cried that night
unlike heinya, nyenti doesn’t really enjoy being outdoors - he just prefers to stay on your lap, lazily bathing in the sun - as he sometimes meows with heinya about some dramas
another kitty that loves to spill the tea to you
him and heinya meows your ears off with the things they have seen, watched, witnessed and heard - sometimes even adding some dirt on the other kitties such as kazunya eating leaves from your potted plants, scaranya sleeping on your hoodie bc he missed you, miao destroying the pantry during his duty to cleanse the land etc etc etc
nyenti’s preferred way of waking you up is to play with your hair. whether it be grooming at your hair, playing with them, tugging on the ends gently - it doesn’t matter which form - as long as nyenti wakes you up, that’s all
he also doesn’t do much hunting either, preferring to watch from the sidelines as the others chase some bugs and small animals they found
for some odd reason nyenti likes you to put flowers on top of his head or a flower shaped charms as a collar - his most favorite and preferred one being the white lily
cut the flower's bud and place it on top of nyenti upside down like it's a cone hat and nyenti would give you the biggest, affectionate "myew!" while rolling around on the ground, showing you his tummy
a sweet kitty if he would just stop being a little zoomie induced shit
nyenti is another kitty that hates taking baths
doesn't react as aggressive as scaranya but he likes to yell his defiance a lot and i mean a lot
overall, a solid 8.5/10 kitty if he would just stop meowing loudly in your ears everytime you take him for a bathtime, making you more and more deaf

soo-bunny
╰┈➤ synopsis — Soobin is the shy bunny you’ve recently adopted. When a storm suddenly strikes, he admits he’s scared to sleep alone.
╰┈➤ pairing —yandere!bunny-hybrid!soobin x reader
╰┈➤ word count — 1.5k
╰┈➤ content warning — slight guilt tripping. discomfort. nothing much. bros just clingy.
Soobin sits beside you, just like he has every dinner since the day you adopted him. He’s slightly lopsided, leaning into your side with his head hiding in your hair. You both eat an easy meal, too tired from a long work day to make anything from scratch. You stuff your face with food, eager to give into exhaustion already.
Soobin seems content just to watch you. He eats slowly, letting out a sigh every time he has to slightly shift his position in order to grab another spoonful of soup. He feels warm amongst this cold winter chill. Although, this heat isn’t from the hot meal, but rather the blush you bring to his cheeks. His whole body is burning up, he wouldn’t doubt that if you felt his forehead you’d assume he was feverish.
Outside your comforting and cozy apartment, the rain continues to run. A storm begins to brew, shooting thunderbolts and lightning strikes from the sky. Every time the thunder sounds, Soobin jumps up from his seat. And with every blazing flash from the sky, he can feel the electricity burn through his body. He feels the growing fear flutter in his stomach, so he puts down his spoon. Afraid to spill his sickness if he takes another bite. With his hands free, he wraps them around you. Resting his head just below your jaw. His mouth brushes against the bottom of your ear and he mumbles out a quiet question.
“Can I sleep with you tonight?”
“Huh? Where is this coming from?” You tilt your head in curious confusion.
“The storm,” He glances over at the window, a cold chill covers his body. He whips his head back to you and continues on with his sentence. “It’s too scary and I don’t want to sleep alone.” He looks down at your lap, slightly shy to be confessing his cowardice.
The thought of snuggling up to the timid hybrid is not one you’re ever imagined. Your relationship still raw with awkward moments and clumsy conversations. Of course, it isn’t that the big bunny hasn’t clinged to your side every second of every day, but this situation feels different. Much more imitate and impulsive than you’d like. So you stall your answer by taking hold of his trembling hands. You let out a somber sigh and Soobin knows exactly what your answer will be.
He feels a rising panic rush through him. His hands grow cold and clammy. Heart thumping so fast it threatens to break through his bones. Downcast crystals cling to his eyelashes as he blinks back his tears. A sad sniffle slips past him. Already feeling exposed, he stops fighting his fear and turns to look at you. “Please…. Please, please, please. I don’t want to be alone.”
“... Soobin, I’m not so sure I’m comfortable sleeping with you.”
“At least let me stay in your room! Please, I’ll sleep in a chair, or even on the floor! Just don’t leave me alone.” His words are rushed, hurrying to spit out anything to make you stay. He peers up at you through his hair, waiting patiently for your reply. He can see every emotion that crosses your features, anxiety, affection, and a little bit of guilt.
“Well, I guess that would be okay. But I can’t have you sleeping on a chair, that would be just cruel. You can help me set up the air mattress.” You stand up from your seat and direct him to follow. Instantly, he springs up and stumbles on after you. When he catches up to where you stand in front of the closet, he grabs your sleeve and slumps down against you. His head sits on your shoulder, watching you grab the mattress and a mix of blankets.
You nudge him with your arm and he stares at you with ready eyes. “Hold this for me.” You hand him the mattress while you balance a bundle of blankets. You walk to the bedroom with the heavy weight of a certain bunny against your back. You sit criss-cross on the carpet of your bedroom. Soobin copies you, sitting so close that your knees knock into each other. While you unfold the blankets, he works on blowing up the mattress.
When you’re both finished, you stand up and stretch. Sleep is beginning to drag you down and a small yawn escapes you. “You tired?” You rub your tired eyes with the sleeve of your shirt. Soobin only hums in response, letting you know he’s ready to go to bed because you are. “Okay, well I’m gonna get into my pajamas and brush my teeth, you should do the same.” He hums again in response and walks off to go get his sleep clothes.
When he walks back into the bedroom, he’s ready to pass out onto the pillows. Then he sees you from the corner of his eye, still washing up and getting ready to sleep, so he walks your way. He doesn’t talk, just sinks into silence. He watches you brush your teeth. Some foam drips down the side of your mouth and he’s quick to wipe it away. He kills time by toying with the stray stings of your sleep shorts. Tying and untying them, even tethering them to strings of his pajama pants.
You finish faster than he expected. Your routine only taking 9 minutes and 22 seconds in total (he counted). The two of you slowly shuffle out of the bathroom. You wander over to where you’ll rest, and crawl under the covers. Of course, this is after taking the time to untie the thread that keeps you connected. You lay down on your bed and snuggle deep into the pillow, all the while Soobin does the same. You shut your eyes and begin your search for the Sandman.
30 minutes later and the storm still continues its terror. The night sky swims in shades of blue. Black bleeds into the room, holding everything hostage in its dark embrace. You welcome the weather into your arms. The air is just cool enough to sleep comfortably, and the rain is a relaxing melody.
You’re seconds away from drifting off to sleep when you hear muffled noises next to you.
“Soobin?... You okay?” Your soft spoken words instantly stop the sniffles. A stilled silence fills the room before you sit up to see him for yourself. You prop yourself up on one elbow and peer across the room. He blinks back at you in the dark. The moon shines light on the tears that streak his skin. Hair pulled every which way as if he needed something to hold on to.
At the sorry sight of him sobbing in the dark, your stubbornness seems to fade away. It only takes a simple wave of your hand, beckoning him to join you on the bed, before he’s swiftly stumbling over to you. He crawls across the bed and lays down on your left side. You let him get settled first before you lay back down. You help him with his struggle in the sheets, pulling the blankets over him and gently pushing his head onto the pillow.
When you drop down onto the bed, you keep a distance at first. However, it doesn’t last long as seconds later Soobin is impatiently tugging you towards him. He shuffles and squirms under the sheets, trying to get you as close as possible. When he settles into a pleasant position, he’s plastered up against your back. His head lays between your shoulder blades. So close you can feel the small breaths he sucks in. His body still shakes with the remenates of fear. He tightens his hold, hugging you like a teddy bear. Two arms wrap around your waist. One hand on your hip while the other frantically searches for your hand to hold.
Your heart leaps into your throat, breath hitching at his boldness. Having a warm body to keep you company in bed is something you haven’t had in a long time. All of your senses are overloaded with information. Hyper-aware of the heat he emits, how subtly he smells of sugar, and how suffocating the silence sounds. You try to create some space between you, but Soobin lets out a muffled whine and rests more of his weight on top of you. He hooks one leg over your hip and relaxes when you stop your squirming.
The storm still rages on well into the night. Yet, Soobin sleeps soundly with his sweet savior right by his side. He doesn’t budge when lightning burns through the black air, or even when strikes of thunder shake the building. The only sign that he’s still alive is from the way his tail twitches and he lets out a frustrated huff when you shift slightly too far.
You don’t sleep for a single second. Too tense under his touch and heart fluttering too fast. When you wake you have no doubt that this night will never be forgotten.

So I 6
Warnings: non/dubcon, and other dark elements. My username actually says you never asked for any of this.
My warnings are not exhaustive but be aware this is a dark fic and may include potentially triggering topics. Please use your common sense when consuming content. I am not responsible for your decisions.
Character: Bucky Barnes
Summary: your casual arrangement turns a bit too serious.
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging ❤️
A crack of thunder wakes you. You catch a scream in your hand as lightning flashes. The storm outside mirrors the chaos of your life.
That same tension crushes you. Waiting, waiting, waiting. You almost think it's worse that whatever Bucky plans to do.
Your breath evens out and you lay back. You check the time on your phone. Only another house before you need to get up and get going. There's almost no point in trying to get back to sleep.
Laying awake in bed isn't new. Those last few days have seen you restless only to be exhausted at your desk. Bucky’s infiltrated every part of your life even while absent. Your sleep, your job, your few hours to yourself, his threats make all of it fraught.
You sit up and dig the heels of your hands into your eyes. You're not ready to be awake. You could take a sick day but for what? To be alone and scared?
"I was gonna draw this out, doll, but I'm getting bored."
You're almost relieved to hear Bucky's voice.
Lightning flashes and illuminates his figure. You might think you're having a nightmare but it's all too real.
"We can still talk this out. I never meant to hurt you--"
"I'm done talking. Done waiting. Done wasting time." He fills the doorway. "I've been around too long for that."
You push your shoulders back and sit up, "what do you want?"
The window flashes again. He looks different. His eyes are like pits and his square jaw is set. The shadows make him a stranger.
He doesn't answer. He walks forward and you look at him. You're trapped by more than his physical barrier, your snared in the fear of that moment. His vibranium fingers trace the edge of your nightie and follow the strap over your shoulder. His other hand tugs on the other other side and he pulls the silk and lets it go so the fabric slumps below your chest.
You shiver and his hand frames your throat. He pushes you flat and bends over you. He parts your knees with his.
“Bucky...” you gulp.
He smothers your mouth with his. Time thaws and suddenly flurries around you. It all happens so fast.
His lips on yours, his hands all over you, the silk slipping down your body, the bed jostling as he forces you further up. The smell of his sweat, the taste of him, the weight of him over you suffocates you. He takes control with precision, dissembling you a caress and a nip at a time.
He fondles your chest as his naked flesh sears into yours. His fingers crawl down and find that part of you that makes you wine. His breath clouds in the crook of your neck and he bits down on the muscle of your shoulder.
He curls his fingers into you and grows. He rocks his hand, pressing against your clit as he twines you around his touch. You whimper and babble. It feels good. Even as your heart pumps with horror and your mind tells you it’s wrong.
You told him it’s over. You told him no. You tried, you tried, you tried. You can’t stop him. You were stupid to think you ever could.
Your heartbeat competes with the thunder crashing outside as it pounds in your ears. All those times he taunted you about how he could hear, about how he could feel your blood coursing, and sense your temperature. He told you then that he could pull you apart just like this.
He pushes against his knuckles, spreading them as he forces his tip inside of you. You yelp as her stretches you around him. He keeps his fingers deep as he tilts his hips. He invades you completely as his teeth pinch your skin.
He huffs as he thrusts. He works himself to a steady tempo. His grunts are stunted as he holds them back. He fucks you in almost a mechanical rhythm. He is a soldier on a mission. His victory is close.
You writhe and tangle your fingers in his dark hair. You yank but he doesn’t react. Your other hand shoves his shoulder but he remains.
You arch your back and let out a yawling moan. You cum around him, even as it hurts, even as your adrenaline floods through you, even as your instincts scream. Your orgasm is your white flag. You give up. You can’t fight anymore.
He is relentless. He drags his fingers free, a trail of your slickness left along your pelvis, and he grips your hip. He ruts into you, harder and harder, flesh slapping. He flattens you against the mattress and lifts his head.
He puts his hand on your forehead and pins your head down. He leans in and nibbles on your lower lip with a growl. His body tenses as his bicep bulges against you. The storm continues to flicker outside, limning his beastly figure as he rolls over you like thunder.
He spasms and you feel him spill inside of you. He fucks you until his cum leaks out around him, and even past that. He doesn’t stop. He won’t stop. He just keeps going and going and going...

The forest seems to holds it’s breath as dusk falls, the rustling leaves and singing birds hushing to a soft murmur. You cling to the fabric of Joel’s flannel, pressed close to his back as he walks cautiously over the dense underbrush.
“How great would it be if we found a treehouse?” you say, trying to keep your voice light even as your eyes dart through the impending darkness.
The trees cast elongated shadows along the ground, their bright green leaves blackening against the deepening purple of the sky.
“I just hope we find somethin’ before the rain,” Joel mutters.
The air is thick with the promise of an oncoming storm and every now and then the distant rumble of thunder echoes through the woods.
You shiver and he stops, turning to look at you with a softness in his eyes.
“Are you cold?”
You swallow hard, wanting nothing more than to be wrapped in the safety and warmth of his arms but instead you shake your head no and give him your best reassuring smile.
He studies you, his eyes narrowing and his jaw working hard with the grind of his teeth.
“We’ll find somethin’ soon darlin’.”
After walking for another mile or so you spot a clearing up ahead and you can just make out the outline of several small structures.
“Are those….,” you start, clutching his bicep tighter, “cabins?”
He stops and nudges you behind him.
“Wait here. I’m goin’ to get a closer look.”
“Joel…”
“If anything goes wrong you run.”
Your fingers dig into his arm.
“Darlin’,” he pleads.
He reaches around to run his large hand across your lower back, checking for the gun he gave you.
“Promise me,” he whispers.
“Ok,” you answer after a moment of silence.
He stares for longer than necessary and just as he starts to turn away you grab his face in your hands and softly kiss the corner of his mouth. His eyes are closed with you pull away and when they open again you whisper, “be careful.”
With a nod he quietly moves away from you, motioning to a nearby tree. You move out of sight, your eyes tracking his movement from behind the large trunk as he slowly approaches the cabins.
After what feels like an eternity you see him emerge from the third and last cabin, his steps quick and sure as he walks back to you.
“It’s all clear,” he explains with a relieved exhale. “Let’s take the middle one.”
He takes your hand in his and leads you up the old and worn wooden stairs, glancing around one last time before pushing the door open to reveal an open space with high ceilings and four sets of bunk beds.
“What the…” you trail off, staring unblinking at all the beds.
“Probably a sleepaway camp,” he says with a small sideways smile. “We got lucky.”
You drop your bag to the floor and look around, trying to decide which bed to take and finally picking the top bed of the bunk in the far corner. You step onto the ladder to try it out.
Sturdy.
You throw him a smile and climb up to the top.
“I’ve never slept in a bunk bed before,” you admit.
He’s quiet before replying, “actually, me either.”
Once you’ve had a quick meal you hear the first drop of rain, the rhythm quickly becoming relentless against the wooden roof. Outside, the darkness is dense, the thick rain clouds obscuring almost all the starlight and moon glow.
Lying in bed sleep eludes you as your mind remains alert despite the hour. Each flash of lightning briefly illuminates the cabin, casting eerie shadows that dance across the walls before fading back into darkness.
You toss and turn on the hard wood, searching for comfort.
“Can’t sleep?” Joel asks from the other side of the room.
“No,” you answer softly. “Sorry if I’m keeping you up.”
When he doesn’t answer you let out a quiet sigh and curl your arms around yourself.
The sound of wood creaking makes you sit up with a gasp but when you realize it’s only Joel climbing the ladder you let out a rush of air.
“You could have said you were coming up here,” you tease.
“I’m coming up,” he counters, and even though you can’t see his face you can hear the mirth in his tone.
Your only reply is a light chuckle as you shift over to the far side of the small bed and he climbs in, lying on his side to face you.
“What was wrong with your bed?” you ask.
His hand reaches out across the darkness and closes around your fingers.
“You weren’t in it.”
The palm of your free hand presses to his chest before your fingers curl into his shirt. He tugs you closer, circling one arm around you while the other rests between your bodies, your fingers still entwined with his. When your knee nudges against his he hitches his thigh over yours, surrounding you in exactly what you need.
You nuzzle your face into his neck with a soft inhale then press a delicate kiss just under his jaw. He exhales your name and dips his head to find your lips, capturing them gently at first.
The rain has begun to dissipate and a steady breeze carries the clouds from the sky, revealing the bright moon. It’s light filters through the opaque glass windows, highlighting the features of his face.
At his tentative expression you slowly brush your thumb across his lips, smiling when he kisses the pad of your finger. Your touch continues, tracing his scruffy jaw before taking his face in your hand and bringing his mouth closer.
He presses another gentle kiss to your lips and slides his hand along your waist, tucking you into the curve of his body. A whimper leaves your throat and he groans at the sound, taking the opportunity to deepen the kiss and press you harder against him.

Chapter 2
The sound of blood roaring in your ears is all that occupies you, the harsh thump thump of your heart beating against your chest. Your palms grow slick, grip tightening on the rifle to stop the shaking. The first low rumbles of thunder began to roll across the landscape, like the distant roar of a sleeping giant stirring from its slumber.
A sudden, blinding flash of lightning split the sky, illuminating the darkened world for a brief, startling moment. A deep, resonant boom followed that seemed to shake the very ground.
You nearly jump out of your skin. You need to make a decision and fast for if not the rain then the nearby coyotes will come bounding in any second, the scent of copper and iron luring them in.
You could leave him here. It would be so easy to turn around and walk away, to pretend you never saw him, to pretend you didn’t find him clinging on to an inch of his life. He would be dead in a few minutes anyways; better to let the bears and the coyotes have their way with him.
You don’t know him, you don’t owe him anything and for all that matters, he could be here for you. What if he was the angel of death, out on the collection for a soul, for you. Would it be easier to bind yourself to him and wait for death to come find you? At least then you wouldn’t be greeting death alone.
Leave him. You need to lookout for yourself.
But you can’t seem to move away from him, unable to command your legs to walk away, eyes stuck to his heaving chest, the low rasps of his labored breaths luring you towards him. The barrel of your gun still pointed at his head, you take a shaky step forward, Luna barking in warning. His features look soft, almost as though in a deep, relaxed slumber.
“Fuck.” You curse out loud, putting your gun away and tightening it around your shoulder. You fall to your knees next to him, his blood bleeding into your jeans, one hand going to his neck and halting for a pulse. Weak and slow but present. “Fuck!”
You don’t even know how you’ll drag him back to your cabin, if you can even drag him back. You fix both of your hands on his shoulders and heave him up, his figure moving to your will like a ragdoll, head bouncing around as he falls forward. You steady him with a hand against his chest, the other gripping him fiercely by his shoulder. His skin is cool under your hands, warmth seeping out from him with his blood, leaving him empty and hollow.
He stirs, a low groan escaping his lips.
You grit your teeth, firmly plant your feet against the damp soil, feeling them dig in as you lift him. Your muscles groan, protest and nearly give up. Is this how Atlas felt when he was condemned to hold up the skies for eternity? Crushed under a burden so heavy he didn’t know if he could carry? With Zeus’ fury splitting the skies and his rage falling viciously from the heavens?
The air in your lungs burn, clothes seeping in red as you steady his body against yours, his arm all but engulfing against your shoulders, your fingers getting sticky with blood against his waist.
What a fucking predicament to find yourself in.
You try to take a step forward, every inch of your being in protest as you drag his heavy body with you. Your breathing gets laborious, feet beginning to get sturdy as you start the journey back, his lifeless legs dragging behind, leaving a trail of maroon, unravelling like a welcome carpet for anyone who wishes to follow. Fuck. You didn’t even know if he was being followed. You shake that thought out of your head, you’ll find time to worry about the details later.
Another brilliant flash lights the sky, reflecting the trees foliage on the forest’s floor. The low rumble of thunder follows before it gets deathly quiet. And then with a thunderous applause, rain drops begin to fall, pelting harshly against the material of your jacket.
Your feet stumble against the roots, halting in your steps as your ears pick up a noise in the far distance. Luna growls, snout turned sharply in the direction from where you had come. The rain pelts around you as you stand there frozen, fear snaring your limbs as you’re slowly consumed by it, drenched in it like the rainwater.
Howling.
“Luna! Heel!” You yell, voice booming over the storm.
Your grip on the lifeless man’s arms turns to steel, adrenaline filling you up with the resolve to finally break into a half-hearted run, the echoes of the howls harmonizing with the thunder. Your pants are long and deep, perspiration blooming on your forehead and then washed away by the rain. You can’t see that far ahead of you, relying on your instincts and the sound of Luna’s paws squelching against the wet mud.
A light in the distance, beckons you towards it, like a lighthouse guiding the ships to safety. You zero in on it, ignoring the searing pain in your thighs as you finally tumble up the stairs, kicking the door open and shutting it firmly behind you when you’re sure Luna is inside, the sound of the rain and the howls ceasing.
Your brain is buzzing. The drip, drip of rainwater from your body seeping into the wooden floor, mixed with the stranger’s blood gives it a light pink hue. His head hangs, hair covering his face completely, chest barely moving and it’s his low guttural moan that snaps you out of your reverie.
It’s like you’re on autopilot.
Clambering against the floor, swiping off the lonesome basket from the dining table and laying him on the wooden surface. The muscles in your arms protest once more, adjusting him properly on the table, tugging his arms to his side.
Towels. Pots. Water. The medical kit you keep in the cabinet on top of the fridge. And then instincts take over, greeting you like an old friend.
You assess the extent of his injuries, quickly finding the major source of the blood that’s pooled under him once again. It’s the gash on his thigh. You peel back the material of his pants, a gasp involuntarily escaping your lips. The gash is deep, angry and gushing like a fountain, painting your hands. The skin around it is torn hastily, not clean like how it would be from a knife but how it would be if some…creature had dug its claws in him. You glance at him in fear. Who the fuck was this guy?
You usher the invading thoughts out of your mind, locking them firmly behind a steeled door. Later, not now. Water. Soap. Clean the wound. Ointment. Stitches. Dressing. Move to the next and repeat. You don’t know how long it takes you, hands moving deftly as everything just moves into the background; Luna’s watchful presence and the storm outside just a distant memory. It’s just you and him.
Every so often you would glance at his face, still pale and deathly, and it would contort with every tug and stitch of the needle, little noises of groans escaping his lips.
The bleeding stops overtime as the exposed wounds are closed up, beads of crimson littering the floor underneath together with the strips of his black shirt accompanying them from where you had cut up his shirt to better see his wounds.
You finally step back, last stitch in place, noticing your sleeves drenched in red, the edges of your shirt having dried out. Outside the rain is still pouring, not with the same ferocity it had when you had entered but now with a steady rhythm, drumming on the roof of your wooden cabin.
You collapse back into a chair, tingling sensation shooting up and down your arms, tickling your fingers in the process. And its Luna’s nudge against your thigh that has you reconciling with the matter at hand, brain finally acknowledging your circumstances.
It starts at the bottom of your stomach, churning slowly and steadily, aggressive waves crashing up and down like they do against the sand during high tide, building up ominously, towering over the coast before engulfing everything in its path and then the wretched all-consuming pull back. You bite back a sob, chest squeezing dangerously under your ruined gloved hand. Why couldn’t you have just left him outside?
He looks hauntingly beautiful like this. Lying limp on your table that you had spilled juice on just yesterday, unable to even fathom that you would be nursing a dead man on it, jogging up memories of who you used to be, what you used to be. Only illuminated by the soft glow of the overhead light, his chest was now moving evenly, the white of his skin glimmering under the warm rays.
Steadying yourself by gripping the edge of the table, you walk up to his side, shaking hands discarding the gloves. Hesitantly, you reach out, fingertips grazing against his forehead, flicking away his matted hair, tracing down to cup his cheek. So cold. His skin laps up the warmth you have to offer, your palm nearly matching the temperature of his skin.
And his eyes flicker open just for a second, staring hazily at you. You suck in a sharp breath. Icy blue eyes looked back at you, reflecting a storm so intense inside them that it nearly put the one brewing outside in shame. Defenseless, helpless and so pitiful. His lips move incoherently, no noise coming out before his eyes rolling back into his head, drifting off to another spell of unconsciousness.
He can’t stay lying here.
You steel yourself, snapping out of the haze he had managed to capture you under.
You rid him off his gear, carefully peeling off every layer of weaponry he had on him. Every gun, ammo, knife and grenade until you were sure there was nothing else strapped to him. You saw the black of his earpiece, prying it off of him and inspecting it in the palm of your hand. Broken.
You set aside his weapons, grabbing them and kicking aside the small rug in your kitchen hiding the cellar door. You pull it open, ignoring Luna’s whines and descended down in the darkness. Tugging on the light switch you located the crate at the end of the small cellar, shelves littered with canned food. You dump the things inside, slamming the crate shut and running back up, hastily rearranging the rug back to how it had been.
You bite your lip, trudging into your living room, wincing as another lightning bolt shot up in the sky outside. You throw open the door in the far corner, leading into a spare bedroom that you’ve never had use for.
The two big windows and the queen sized bed had always unnerved you, hating how exposed that had made you feel, the lack of a proper view over the woods making you feel claustrophobic. You shove off the covers, pushing them to the side to make room for your guest.
You hope this is the last time you have to carry him.
Grunting, groaning and huffing as you try not to jostle him too much, taking care so his stitches don’t rip, not wanting to do a redo of the same activity you had practically broken your back over. You settle him on the mattress, happy to have the mass off from your shoulders.
You shuck the covers back on him, tucking him under the multiple layers to preserve his body heat. With the finality of a pat, you step back and you don’t stop until you’re out of the threshold, the door still wide open.
The cold begins to seep into your bones, standing there trembling as the adrenaline begins to ebb away, the sensation of your wet clothes blooming across your nerves. You fold your arms over your shoulders, rubbing them in hopes of returning some warmth in your body. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Luna seat herself between you and the strangers, her brown eyes fixed on his sleeping form.
Your hands seek purchase against her collar, the softness of her coat calming a portion of your anxiety. You know she won’t move, won’t stray from her post and keep a watchful eye on the man, in silent promise that she’ll let no harm befall you.
You bound upstairs, fingers quivering as you try and slide the lock in place, pulling at the door to ensure the door won’t budge. You shrug off your layers, every garment you had on falling on the floor with a distinct splosh-sound.
The shower runs again for the second time today, the droplets streaming down your head as you watch the water change colour before slipping down the drain. A storm rivalling the one outside, pummels against your skin but this one is under your control; the temperature, the intensity and at your command, ceasing.
You close your eyes, letting the water wash you away, take you somewhere far where nothing has happened and nothing has gone wrong. Maybe this is all happening in your head, a manifestation of your guilt plopped unceremoniously at your doorstep, finally having lost your sanity to the voices in the woods.
Memories of past mistakes haunt you, the faces of those you couldn't save flashing before your eyes. This…needed to be different. You wouldn't let another life slip through your fingers, even if it meant risking your own. Fuck. Is that what this is?Is that why you saved him? A pathetic attempt to right your wrongs?
Your fingers massage your shoulders, knots having tightened. But they don’t loosen, not under the scalding water and neither under the guise of your fingertips. Frustration builds up again, the sensation of the water no longer enough to quiet the ringing in your head, tiles too cold under your palm where you steady yourself, the steam nearly asphyxiating. You hastily shut off the water, clambering out of the bathroom, pointedly ignoring your reflection in the mirror.
After pulling on a warm set of hoodie and sweats, you step over your ruined clothes, the lock sliding away with a click. Hands tight on the railing, you walk back down, breath shallow and eyes peeled. Maybe none of it happened, a nightmare conjured by your mind, karma making you dance like a skilled puppeteer.
Another crack of lightning and Luna’s shadow falls long on the floor, taking up space on the wall. You gulp, finally on the ground, floorboards creaking. And none of it was a nightmare, the door to the spare room still open, the sun having set long ago, the howls of the wind and the angry splatter of rain against the windows, the man still in your bed, face illuminated by the sudden shots of light seeping in through the glass.
The loud boom of thunder jolts you, spurring you forward as you drew all the curtains, hastily checking the locks on the door and almost tripping on your discarded rifle lying on the floor. You pick it up, heart easing at its familiar weight and a sudden ferocity occupies your chest. If he wanted you dead, you didn’t owe it to him to make the process easier. It would be a shame to put a bullet in him after wasting various medical supplies on him.
You grab a chair from your dining table, its legs scraping against the floor as you bring it to the living room, firmly placing it near the unlit fireplace, allowing you an unrestricted view into the bedroom. You sit, gripping the gun firmly, beginning your vigil, watching over him like a hawk, unsure of his intentions.
Despite the exhaustion tugging at your eyelids, you remain resolute. You can’t afford to let your guard down, not now. Every creak of the cabin and howl of the wind keeps you on edge, the noises amplified in the dark.
The shrill ringing noise breaks through the air like a bullet fired in the solitude of the night. It’s a miracle you don’t fall from your seat, panic seizing your limbs as you madly turn your head around, eyes nearly popping out of your skull, heart spurring in your chest. Luna doesn’t flinch, obedient as ever with her eyes fixated on the target.
You calm your heart, eyes landing on the lonesome landline hanging from the wall of your kitchen, usually silent but now wailing in twilight, the red light glowing in anger. Slowly you walk over, every ring feeling like a knife embedding itself in your chest.
And it gets deathly silent when you pick up the receiver, the plastic cool under your touch and fitting snug against the shell of your ear. Nothing, except the harsh sound of breathing graces your ear.
“Status?” A gruff voice finally speaks. The fear relents, recognizing the heavy baritone of the voice at the other end, greeting you like how it always does; no pleasantries but without fail always at the same time, designated at the same day of the week.
You hesitate, eyes flickering towards the opened door, rolling your bottom lip between your teeth. You could say it, say what happened, what you found or rather who you found. It would be so easy to pass on the problem. He would be gone in an instant, whisked away without your knowledge to a fate that would be unknown to you, freeing you off the burden that you can barely uphold.
But the flash of his deep blue irises grips the words in your throat, refusing to let them through, halting you from your confession. And all you can hear yourself whisper, voice so meek and cracked is, “All good on my end.”
thank you for reading! i hope the lack of dialogue wasnt irritating lmao. this should be up on ao3 soon.

Hey J, can you write something fluffy? Any Peter would do. it's exam season and it's stressing me out! I'm just searching for a little comfort 🥹
*cleaning out my inbox, based off some terrible storms we're having in my area. nerdy!peter* also- go me for coming out of retirement, i hope i'm still good 😁
there are three things that wake peter up in the dead of night.
the first was a loud crack of thunder, the second was a whimper, and the third was his skin being latched onto like he's velcro. peter's room flashes when lightning strikes outside his window, rain beating against it like it's begging to come inside.
there's another soft cry, hot breath washes across his ribcage.
'angel?' peter isn't awake enough to make the full connection yet. a pregnant pause, he can hear how hard the rain is coming down, his roof amplifies the sound.
'petey.' it's the soft drawl you have, you're calling out for him like he's your lifeline.
it's enough for him to rid all thoughts of sleep from his mind. 'hey, hey, hey, you're okay.' peter can feel you tremble under his hold, another strike of lightning, he's praying thunder doesn't follow.
'it's bad, it's so bad.' if peter had known about the storm he would've prepared better, instead it caught you both off guard and that made it so much worse for you.
'it's so loud. i don't like it, i don't like it, i don't like it.' you cling to him by hitching your leg over his hips, your arm thrown over his waist to keep yourself pressed against him is threatening a bruise.
peter's thankful this happened to be on a night you were sleeping over. 'sit up.' he rubs your back as a way to raise you, you shake your head. 'i think you need a hug.'
you're up in a second, peter's halfway to meeting you when the thunder he was terrified of hits and you scream while holding your hands over your ears.
peter has a funny feeling another rumble was coming, his hands pressing over yours- you scream again, you swear you felt the walls shake and peter wouldn't disagree.
you dive for him, a bundle of sobs and fast tears. 'you're okay, i promise you're okay.' your chest rises and falls rapidly, you weakly agree. 'i'm okay.'
'i'm here, right? you know i wouldn't let anything happen to you.' you nod. peter keeps you tucked in his neck, he thinks he can hear the rain lighten up, just barely. he reaches for his phone and looks for his weather app, a full radar shows him the threat is moving away.
'hey,' peter keeps his voice low for you. 'look at this,' you peek an eye open and lightly squint at the light, your focus settles in and you finally feel your heart rate lower. 'watch,' peter slides a bar, within the next thirty minutes it'll be completely past you.
'oh thank god, there's an end to my torment.'
'see? i'll will anything for my girl.' it's a nice thought but he can't control the weather. 'you can't control mother nature, petey.' the smile he gives you makes you doubt your words.
'but for you, i'd try.' he's never made fun of your fears, he's only ever been your security blanket when you need one. you can throw him a bone. 'i mean... it did go away after you woke up, so...'
peter laughs, your cheeks feel dry from your tear tracks. you sniff and feel silly for the bought of tears, peter doesn't think you're silly though, he thinks you're brave for toughing it out. he always does.
'you only screamed twice, and that's just because it caught you off guard! you're killing this, angel.' he's always so sweet, out of all the things you love about him, you think that's number one.
pouting your bottom lip out, you give him a small peck. 'i love you.' the rain comes to a sudden stop, peter gestures to his window, 'that's the kind of power your love gives me. bam, i just made mother nature my bitch.'
'peter, don't call women bitches.'
'she's a bitch for making you cry.'
'aw, okay, bitch usage allowed.'
this time, peter kisses you. it's gentle, not because you're weak from the near panic attack- because he's only ever known to be delicate with you. god, you really love his heart. 'i think you're the best person i know. i'm going to look into how to nominate you for a humanitarian award.'
peter ponders it for a second. 'well, the best part of me is you, so i'm not sure how-' you stop him with a light smack to his shoulder, he bows his head and accepts your compliment how you wanted, with a shy grin.
'as long as you keep me around to fight mother nature, i'll keep accepting your awards.'
that's a bet you're willing to take.

I'd love to see an Eric x Reader where they share a first kiss together.
Love this ask. Thank you for requesting it! It went longer than I originally planned because I have a flair for the dramatics.
Focus on Me
Eric x GN! Reader
CW: Panic attacks, fear, fear of death, mentions of blood, some language.
Three days. Three days since New York became an unrecognizable, empty shell. Three days of maddening silence. Three days of existing in absolute total fear.
The helicopters have stopped flying overhead. There’s nothing in the sky anymore. Everything has just stopped.
The silence is unbearable. At least now the ambient sound of the storm—the torrential rain and howling wind—fills that awful, strange void.
Every sound, every movement, even the water dripping from your clothes, has you and Eric pausing in step. The creak in the floorboards, the way the crumbling building shifts against the outside wind, it’s nerve wracking and makes forward progress slow.
This building wouldn’t have been your first choice, but you and Eric needed to get out of the storm. The giant holes in the side of the complex were blissfully ignored until you were both inside and the strong wind whipped through them. You counted your blessings that the concrete stairs were even intact.
Eric’s hand is on your shoulder as you get further into the building. It eases your nerves, as you know it comforts him as well. It’s the only source of warmth you can feel through the ice-cold adrenaline and the chill of your damp clothes. A warm spot of hope.
You’re positive he can feel you trembling. Scared shitless. Expecting to die at any moment.
It’s so dark in that hallway, the only source of light is from the night sky, through the shattered windows. The storm wind howls through the glass cracks creating an eerie whistling. The rain pounds, lightning flashes give you quick snapshots of the apartments around you. There’s an open door to your left, which seems like a good option.
Lightning flashes again and illuminates the dark red stain leading through the door. Never mind.
The clap of thunder moments later startles you so bad you flinch and duck. Eric’s hand squeezes your shoulder, reassuringly. Without thinking, you grab his hand and hold it in place. An anchor to keep you calm, to keep you sane. A reminder that you’re not alone.
You pass the red stain with careful steps. Part of that apartment must have a hole in it because the sound of rain is clearer, every pounding raindrop echoes off the walls.
The last door to your right is wide open.
Lightning flashes again. Another snapshot. Coast is clear, no trail of blood this time.
Every muscle tenses up, bracing for the thunder to follow. Push on. You repeat this in your mind as the noise rolls above, gentler this time. You can’t afford to lose your nerve.
Eric’s hand moves from your shoulder to your lower back as he shifts to stand next to you. His other arm wrapped around your waist. He’s taking more of a lead as you pass through the doorway together. His breath comes out trembling and slow in your ear.
This apartment has more windows, letting in enough light to see around the room. In the context of everything, it looks strange. It’s still neat and undisturbed—the couch has a blanket and cute pillows, the coffee table has a tv remote on it, the living room floor is covered in a long, plush carpet. It’s a time capsule, back to the last hours of normal life within the city.
Eric points to the couch and back to you.
Shaking your head ‘no,’ you grab the blanket from the back of the couch and lay it down on the carpet. Somehow, sleeping on the ground feels better—what if the springs in the couch make noise? The idea of shifting in your sleep and creating noise has become a constant fear every night.
There’s been so many new fears in the last couple of days.
Eric watches you, then begins sitting on the ground too. He takes his suit jacket off and hangs it off the coffee table to dry. He’s busy setting up his spot to sleep, smoothing out his side of the blanket and taking one of the couch pillows. He hands the other to you. It feels like a really strange sleepover.
Lightning flashes again and you get a clear view of Eric. His tie is still on.
Your fingers find their way to his shoulders first as you reach out blindly in the dark. They’re broad, well defined, and you’re surprised at first. Eric freezes, thinking something is wrong, but you continue on your way to his tie, gently pulling it loose and unwrapping it from around his neck. He watches you, sitting up a little so you can reach better.
So distracted by your task, the following clap of thunder above barely registers. Neither of you flinch.
“My mum taught me how to fix my ties.” His voice is barely a whisper, but it mixes in the space between you with your own breath.
In the dark you’re only inches apart.
You pull the tie off and lay it down on the coffee table next to his suit jacket.
“What’s she like?” You ask with a matching whisper.
God, the sound of your own voice is strange to you now. Raspy, raw, unused. And Eric’s…you almost forgot he was English.
“My mum?”
“Yeah.”
“She’s kind…” He swallows back the rising emotion in his voice. “Always so kind. She didn’t want me to—to go.” He takes a ragged breath; the harsh noise is enough to make you tense and pull him closer to you. It’s an action of panic at first, but it quickly turns into a hug as he presses his face into the crook of your neck.
At least now his choked sobs are muffled.
Running a hand through his hair, you try to calm him. “It’s alright. You’re alright.”
There’s a sniffle and he pulls back. “Sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. Here, lay down.”
You lay down too, guiding his head to the pillow. His nose nudges yours in the close space—you can feel his breath on your cheek. His hand grips the side of your shirt. He might still be crying; his eyes are shiny in the dark.
Your palm rests against the side of his neck, cupping his jaw—it stays there. “Tell me what England is like.”
Another flash of lightning. His face is so strikingly handsome in the light. Droplets of water fall from his brown curls onto his forehead.
“Um…well…” He begins unsteadily. “It’s very tight.”
“Tight?”
He nods, nose brushing against yours again. “The roads don’t get wider than two lanes. One going each way. All the houses are linked in long rows—almost like the neighborhoods here.”
“Is there traffic?”
Eric laughs once, a quiet laugh that comes out more like a long breath. It’s enough of a laugh to hear the humor in his voice. “There’s nothing but traffic.”
“Why’d they make the roads like that?”
“Not enough space.”
“Oh.” You ponder. “That makes sense actually—being that it’s pretty much an island."
“An island, yeah.”
“An island full of traffic.”
He laughs again, breath mixing with yours. “The U.S.—it’s quite big, so you can make your roads wider. More lanes and the like.”
“Ah…”
There’s a moment of silence where just the rain pounds overhead. Silence, that dreadful thing forced upon you now. Eric’s laugh, however small and subdued, was a wonderful sound.
“What made you want to be a lawyer?”
“I dunno. I… my dad said it was a good profession to do and—and it seemed very grown up.”
“You must be very smart to get into Law School around here.”
You win another laugh out of him. “I don’t know about that.”
“No, I’m serious. They’re extremely competitive.”
“It was expensive to get in.”
“I can’t even imagine.”
“What about you, are you going…” he pauses, his voice deflates a little, “…Were you going to school?”
You remain undeterred, you have to. “No, too expensive. Just working and trying to figure things out.”
“You didn’t have any plans?”
“I had plans, short-term stuff, but I’m not really a ‘plan your life out’ kinda person.”
“That actually sounds nice.”
“I’d like to think so.”
Another bout of silence. Eric is no longer sniffling; he watches you curiously.
“And your soccer teams—"
“—Football—”
Maybe he can see your teasing face in the dark, maybe he can’t. “Mm. Tomatoe, tomato. So, your soccer teams—”
“Hm, no. Football.”
“I’m not calling it football—you’re going to get me all confused.”
Eric laughs again and leans his forehead against yours. “It’s really not hard to separate them out—you’re doing this on purpose to get a rise out of me.”
“A rise? Jesus, you’re so British. Are you going to let me finish my question?”
“I’ll let you finish your question if you call them football teams.”
“You are a stubborn one. I feel like most people would have moved on by now.”
“Does that surprise you?”
You make a noise. “No, actually I like it. But anyway, Football—”
“—Thank you, darling—”
“—Hm. It’s a big deal, right?”
“Oh, huge. Did you even need to ask?”
“I guess I could have figured it out when you forced me to call it football in my own country.”
Eric’s grip on your shirt has relaxed now, his hand rests on your hip. “Is football a big deal here?”
“Football—football, or soccer—football?”
“Ah, well played. I see what you’re doing now.”
“I will make you say the word soccer.”
Somehow, he leans even closer.
“Not a chance.”
“Ha. Well, football tickets are sold out months in advance, sometimes before the season even starts, so that might answer your question.”
“They’re sold-out like that in England too.”
“But which football am I talking about, Eric?”
He snickers. “The one where they throw and kick the ball.”
“Oh, that’s very funny. Very clever.”
“I do know—”
From back in the room something creaks. Pressure on a floorboard, something moving, something big. Eric freezes. Your body goes cold.
Click-click-click.
Another couple of pounds on the ground. These are closer, you can feel the vibrations through the floor.
In the back of the apartment, leading to a bedroom, a door slowly creaks open. The rain sounds much closer now and the clicks continue, vivid and clear.
This apartment has a hole in it to the outside.
Eric is back to gripping you like his life depends on it. Your hand trembles against his skin.
Pound. Click-click-click.
The indifferent storm above sends lightning down again, as if it’s saying 'Hey, look at this'. The rapid succession of flashes gives you a view of the doorframe and the monstrous creature slinking through it.
Its body contorts and bends, long legs folding in as it fits itself into the room without disturbing anything. Scales and plates shift and move fluidly along its back. You didn’t think it was possible for it to be this nimble.
Click-click-click.
Eric, watching your tearful eyes track something over his shoulder, very carefully and very slowly starts to turn and try to get a glimpse of it. Your hand on his cheek tightens and stops him, turning him back to look at you. The message is clear as his breathing starts to quicken.
Look at me.
He purses his lips in an effort to keep from breathing through his mouth. He’s shaking as much as you are now.
The creature swings its head around in the dark, opening its face plates and clicking out. The way it opens up, the sound it makes is almost enough to make you shudder. Who knows why, but it moves toward you and Eric. Its massive silhouette stands out against the apartment’s lighter walls. You keep watching it, trembling and on the verge of tears.
The thing’s leg bumps the coffee table, and your mouth drops open at the sudden startlingly loud shriek of wood scraping against wood. Eric is quick to cover your mouth with a hand, holding you in place, keeping you quiet. He presses his mouth up against the back of his hand, trying to keep himself quiet too. Tears spill over onto your cheeks; they mix with his. Your faces are pressed together. Even though he’s terrified, he’s still gentle.
Click-click-click. Pound.
It’s so close now that those alien noises vibrate through your body. It’s so heavy that when it steps on the floorboards it almost bounces you.
And the thing smells.
It smells like death, decay, and rot. You’re never going to forget that smell as it wafts over you and permeates your clothes.
More tears fall, it’s impossible to rip your eyes away from the creature’s silhouette, it towers nearly to the ceiling in one long, thin body.
You wish more than anything that the lightning would stop. You don’t need to see it in clear detail. You don’t need to see the bits of viscera hanging from it or the dark red stains leading up its grotesque arms.
Eric’s hand moves a fraction out of the way to hold your cheek. Your eyes flash to him just as he replaces his hand with his mouth.
It’s reckless beyond measure, but the action makes you instinctually close your eyes. There’s no movement, there’s no bloom of passion, but the warmth spreads through your face. It’s an act of desperation in what may be your last moments together.
The creature’s feet pound on the floorboards again. Are they getting further away? You don’t dare open your eyes. You focus on the feeling of Eric’s mouth against yours. If this is when and how you’re going to die, you want to think about how soft his lips feel. You want to think about the way his curly hair looks as it dries into a tangled mess. How his shoulders felt under your touch and the breath of his laugh and the way his words sounded when he smiled.
It works, you almost feel at peace. It's just the feeling, the idea of it all ending any moment that keep you trembling.
But the footsteps are getting further away. The hinges of the door leading out into the complex’s hallway creak as the door is pushed open.
It’s leaving. It’s leaving.
After you can no longer feel the pounding footsteps or hear it anymore, you open your eyes again. The apartment is empty. It’s gone.
Eric is also looking around. He pulls back a little, separating your lips. The absence of warmth sends shivers down your body. And then you start trembling again, left to deal with the struggle of survival. The adrenaline, the short supply you had left, is used up—your body is suffering.
Shell shock is the first thing you think of, but Eric’s eyes catch yours and you snap back to the task at hand. Fortification. Leaving and following in that thing's footsteps would just mean a grisly death in the dark. You'd have to make due and close off all the exits.
It takes ages to sit up. There are moments when you think you hear something, only for it to be your imagination. There are moments when you question if you’re still alive.
Eric gently takes your hand; he helps you to your feet. Moving so, so slowly and carefully. It’s Eric that guides you through the next few minutes, directing you to help him move furniture in front of the door. Picking it up slowly and delicately. Closing the back door, which does indeed lead to a hole in the wall. He always stands near you; his hand guides you either by your shoulder, your hand, or your lower back.
Eric, the man you found shaking and traumatized in the rain, helps you and leads you.
Once the furniture has been moved, the apartment no longer looks like a time capsule of normality. It matches the rest of the city—disorderly and inherently wrong.
With your task complete, you lean against one of the walls, holding your mouth shut. The shaking in your legs becomes more pronounced now that you’re no longer moving. Your heart is pounding out of your chest. The dark room spins around you. Through your fingers you take small gasps of breath.
Eric knows what a panic attack looks like. What it feels like. How it cripples a person.
“It’s alright.” He breathes, as he comes over to hold the sides of your face. “We’re alright.”
Your hands reach out and cling to him, pulling him closer. His body flattens against you on the wall. His forehead leans down to yours.
“Eric…”
He lifts your face up, smoothing out your cheeks, trying to calm you down. “I’m here. Right here.”
You do the only thing you can think of. The only method true method that can dispel the thoughts of your near death. Closing the short distance between your faces, you kiss him.
This time, he moves. This time it’s not a kiss with your imminent death looming right over you; it’s relived, it’s desperate, it’s a plea to wake up your body and revive yourself.
We’re alive.
The kiss is wet, you can taste the tears on his lips as he sloppily molds them to yours. The light stubble on his face scratches you, but it hardly registers. The kiss gets increasingly desperate—you both needed this, you both wanted this. You could have died and never experienced this and now you’re making up for that.
Your fingers tangle in his still wet hair. They grab the back of his neck; they grab his shoulders as he flexes and runs his hands up and down your sides. If you pull away to take in another gasp, Eric is quick to close the distance again, forcing you to take in air through your nose.
But you’re tired beyond measure, running off nothing but pure fear and adrenaline for days and nights on end. How Eric keeps himself together after being through the same things you have is something you’d like to learn one day, but tonight—fuck, tonight you need to sit down before your legs give out.
You pull away again, trying to gasp out something. Eric’s lips chase yours, but your body has had enough finally, and you give in, sliding down the wall before he catches you. By the way your head lolls back, and your arms fall to your sides, he understands.
Always so gentle, always so caring, Eric leads you back to the blanket and lays you down in his arms. Pressing your face into his collar, you feel just safe enough that you might be able to sleep. Exhaustion pulls at your consciousness, but images of the hideous alien are vividly playing out in your mind’s eye.
Only Eric’s voice, barely above a breath, but warm in your ear is enough to soothe you. He murmurs about how you’ll both be on the boats tomorrow. Tomorrow, you’ll be safe. Everything will be ok tomorrow. He peppers your forehead with light kisses in between words.
Before your world fades into nothingness, you stretch up to kiss him under his jaw. The last thing you hear is his quiet sigh.
Eric didn’t sleep much that night, too busy making a plan in his head to get you both to the south st. seaport. If he had to carry you, he would. He would do anything for you. And if this all somehow turned into a happy ending, then he would be right next to you to share it, to see you smile again, to hear you tease him.
If it doesn’t, then he has to find a way to kiss you one more time before the end.

"Whumpee sit", Caretaker tried to hide the frustration in their voice. Whumpee had been overly energetic for most of the morning. Caretaker was running low on patience.
Whumpee sat down without even thinking about it.
"You did not just put me in a sit", Whumpee frowned at Caretaker.
"I did, I'm sorry", Caretaker shook their head, "I'm losing my patience. I knew that was the quickest way to get you to stop for a second."
"I'm sorry", Whumpee frowned, "I didn't mean to frustrate you."
"No, you are perfectly fine, and I'm happy you have the energy. It's nice to see you getting better", Caretaker smiled weakly, "I don't think I got enough sleep last night. I was up late doing reports. Uhm, I might go take a nap actually."
Whumpee watched them leave.
"Wait, you need to release the sit command", Whumpee called, "Caretaker?"
"You can get up", Caretaker chuckled, "sorry I did that to you again."
"It's okay", Whumpee stretched their legs.
Caretaker came out a few hours later.
"Hey Whumpee", they walked past on their way to the kitchen.
"Hello", Whumpee whispered.
Caretaker stopped and looked at Whumpee with concern.
"Are you feeling better Caretaker?", Whumpee whispered again with a concerned look.
"I feel better. Why are you whispering?", Caretaker stepped closer to Whumpee.
"Earlier I-I didn't take how you were feeling into account for how I was acting. I'm sorry", Whumpee looked down.
"Whumpee how I was feeling had nothing to do with how you were acting. I promise you. I was up late doing reports, and I didn't get enough sleep", Caretaker frowned, "I should have known better than to do that."
"Those reports are about me though, aren't they?", Whumpee sighed, "I'm a bad dog... uh-person."
Whumpee got up and tried to leave the room.
"Whumpee sit", Caretaker frowned, "on the couch, come on. We need to talk."
Whumpee held their head in shame as they went back to the couch.
Caretaker sat down next to them.
"You did nothing wrong today, Whumpee. I want you to understand that. You seemed to be having a good day, and you were happy. I am happy that you had a good day. Don't allow my sour mood to ruin that for you", Caretaker sighed, "you deserve to have good days and to enjoy yourself. You deserve to heal."
Whumpee kept their head low and looked at the floor.
"You were not bad at all. You are never bad Whumpee", Caretaker patted Whumpee's shoulder gently, "if anything I was bad for not being ready to keep up with you today. I feel much better now, is there anything you would like to do?"
"Ca-can we go to the park?", Whumpee looked up with a small smile.
"It's raini..", Caretaker saw Whumpee's smile go away.
"That's what umbrellas are for", Caretaker smiled, "yes we can go to the park. If it's starts to thunder and lightning we need to go inside though. Sound like a deal?"
"Yes", Whumpee smiled wide.
Caretaker watched Whumpee play with the different park equipment.
The entire park was empty do to the storm. Whumpee was free to be as crazy as they wanted.
Caretaker held their umbrella over them. They laughed as a drenched Whumpee ran past.
A giant smile crossed Whumpee's face as they climbed up the slide and slid down into a mud puddle.
'It's nice seeing them get to act like a child. Most of their early days had been wasted by cruel people. Now they get to have moments like this. Though in their twenties, they get this freedom', Caretaker smiled, 'I can't believe I almost ruined today for them.'
A bolt of lightning danced across the sky.
"Whumpee we need to go inside", Caretaker called.
"Okay", Whumpee jumped to the ground and hurried to Caretaker.
"I don't think you could get anymore soaked Whumpee", Caretaker grinned.
"I'm sorry", Whumpee frowned.
"Not a problem at all. How about you take a shower when we get home", Caretaker smiled, "that way, you'll get cleaned from the mud, and you will only need to dry once."
"Okay", Whumpee watched droplets fall down their arm.
"I'll make soup for us, we can have a late lunch", Caretaker smiled, "we made that bread yesterday, we can dip it in the soup."
"That sounds delicious", Whumpee took off running for the house.
"Where are you going?", Caretaker called after them.
"To take a shower, I want food", Whumpee yelled.
"You won't get far, the door is locked", Caretaker smiled as they held up the key, "give me a minute."
Whumpee walked into the kitchen with the towel still wrapped around their head.
"Did it smell that good?", Caretaker chuckled.
"What do you mean?", Whumpee made a puzzled face.
Caretaker pointed at the top of their own head.
Whumpee reached up and realized.
"Oh", they laughed, "yes it smells amazing."
Caretaker set out the soup and sliced bread on the table. Whumpee carried out the drinks and napkins.
"The bread came out really well", Caretaker smiled as they sat at the table with Whumpee, "I'm glad we made it."
"It looks amazing", Whumpee smiled, "I can't wait for this soup."
"Let's dig in", Caretaker reached for their spoon and a slice of bread.
Whumpee looked at the bowl for a second.
"You can eat it how you want. I know you regressed back a little since I made you sit earlier. Just don't burn your mouth", Caretaker nodded.
Whumpee grinned and nodded, they lifted the bowl to their lips and slurped.
Caretaker chuckled a little at the sound.
"Sorry", Whumpee whispered.
"It's okay", Caretaker laughed a little more.
Whumpee reached for some bread.
"This is amazing", Whumpee looked up, "this has been such a good day so far and its only lunch."
"I'm glad Whumpee", Caretaker smiled, "I'm glad you are having a good day."
Taglist. As always please let me know if you want to be added or taken off of the list. It's not a problem at all.

⛆ Puddles and Cuddles ⛆
Bakugou Katsuki x (GN) Reader
MDNI // SFW // 1.1k words
You woke up earlier than usual. The sun is just starting to rise dimly, lighting the room a soft orange.
Getting up off the comfortable green duvet covers that are disheveled from a good night's sleep. You made your way to the window tiptoeing to not wake your darling partner still sleeping.
It’s raining very lightly as it had been through the night as that is what lured you to sleep so much earlier. The light tapping of the rain hitting the window was calming and put your mind to ease.
You decided today was going to be a relaxing day. You are going to make green tea with honey and light candles through the house. Watch movies and play games you and your husband have missed due to your busy schedules.
The candles lit of your favorite smell wafts through the house waking Katsuki from his slumber. He rubs the sleep out of his eyes, turning his groggy head towards your side of the bed that is faintly warm but you are nowhere to be seen.
…
The curtains are open and it's raining. “Great…” Katsuki thought. Sluggishly moving out of bed he slides his slippers on and makes his way out of the bedroom where a familiar scent gets stronger.
It’s they’re favorite smell he sees the candles you have scattered through the house giving the atmosphere a yellow hue.
He makes his way to the kitchen where you are standing over the stove waiting on a kettle. He grins slightly quietly walking towards you wrapping his strong arms around your waist, and puts his head between your neck and shoulder giving small kisses up your neck to your cheek.
“Good morning my love.” You say playing with his bed hair as he’s still behind you surely not completely awake.
“Come back to bed ” He mumbles out gruffly into your neck.
You giggle from the feeling of his breath on his neck. “You go back to bed, I'll be there soon my love. I wanted some tea.”
Katsuki groans letting go of you walking back towards the bedroom blowing out the candles in the living room, wary your precious candles might burn the house down.
…
Katsuki jolts due to the bed shaking from you hopping onto the bed beside him. A tray of green tea and a small bowl of honey sits on the bedside table on your left.
“Done with your shenanigans?” He asks sitting up to grab the cup of tea you brought over to him. “Me? Shenanigans never.” You giggle as he lightly flicks your forehead at your quip.
You enjoy the aura around you sipping some tea, as Katsuki sets his cup down and lays back down putting his arms lazy around your middle.
…
Some time goes on while you and your darling love have been sleeping and relaxing on the bed a movie faintly playing in the background.
You can feel that you're getting a little antsy. You need to move around later in the day around ten in the morning.
The rain hasn’t stopped pitter-pattering on the windows as a matter of fact the rain has gotten heavier. Still not a storm, no thunder or lightning.
It’s perfect weather to have fun outside in a pair of rubber boots and a raincoat. You smile at the idea of forcing Katsuki into the orange raincoat with two little bombs in the bottom corners you bought.
Looking back at the bed where he still lays snoozing. You think about how he really needs sleep, how being a hero is a demanding and tiring job.
“Oh but it would be so fun!” You think out loud. Gently getting back into bed and moving closer to him you poke his cheek and give his scalp a good scratch.
“Mmm, What?” Katsuki grunts as his sleep is disturbed once more. “Get up, sleepy head, we're going to play in the rain.” You ruffle his blond locks trying to wake him.
He hums and turns away from you trying to get some more shut-eye. You giggle at his stubbornness and push him to sit up.
He finally awakes, giving a deadly glare. It doesn’t affect you or your playful idea to go splash in puddles and dance around in the rain.
…
After some time of coaxing Katsuki to go outside in the rain with you. You made a late breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs and some toast. Impatiently waiting for Kat to finish eating and doing his morning routine.
As he finishes up you get ready putting on your raincoat and rubber boots that are of course matching.
Katsuki corners the hallway walking to the foyer. He sees you in your matching rain outfit and smirks. Of course you would look beautiful in a raincoat.
He comes up to you and holds onto your waist giving you a lovingly squeeze and a small powerful kiss.
Once he pulls away you show him the matching set you got him, the orange raincoat with the two bombs and the black rain boots.
He deadpans “Oh hell no.” He looks at you in disbelief. “C’mon Kats! I got it just for you.” You sing out pushing the coat and boots toward him.
“It’s no biggie just go put it on I want to go out in the rain!” You rush him to the bedroom to go change.
…
You wait at the front door practically vibrating because of how bad you need to go out and play in the rain and puddles.”
Katsuki walks up to you with an embarrassed blush coating his face “Can we get this over with?” He mutters.
“You look so cute! Yes this is going to be a blast!” You shout opening the door and you both are welcomed to a slight chilly breeze and droplets of rain.
You coo at the beauty and joy of being outside in the rain. You raise your arms and spin around feeling the rain coat your exposed skin. You jump in a small puddle making a big splash.
“Isn’t this great Katsuki?!” You ask, smiling at him.
He’s just standing there admiring you with a slight scowl from the weather “You are weird.” He says as you keep twirling.
You stop and walk your way towards him holding out your hands. He gives you a confused look and holds your hands. “Look on the bright side, no one is out here, it's just you and I love.”
You push him to spin, not letting go of him trying to get his stubborn self to have some fun. As you begin to spin he grabs onto you tighter so now you both are slowly dancing into the rain enjoying the weather and each other.
Slow dancing in the rain with no music other than the sounds that Mother Nature provides.
“I love the rain but I love you more”

Heyyy I was wondering if I could request something?? You don't have to do it but I wondering if you could do a Catnap and Dogday x reader who acts very motherly to everyone? It can be smut or not, you can decide. But I'd really appreciate it if you did my request. Thanksss :3
“Kitty Catty.”
Relationship(s): catnap x bunny!mother!reader x Dogday
Warning(s): fluff, suggestive
You were basically everyone’s mother. They all adored you when you were created. You were created for the purpose of acting like a caring mother to the poor orphans. You did your job so well that even the other critters considered you their mom except Catnap and Dogday. They saw you as.. well, we will talk about that, later, hm?
There was a storm that night and instead of sleeping in your warm cozy bed, you had laid in the middle of the floor with a blanket because Kickin’ oddly enough was afraid of all the thunder and lightning. you didn’t complain though. you hummed a tune until you were sure, he was out like a light.
For another instance, if Bubba had become stressed that he couldn’t answer a problem, you would gently ease his mind with questions he could answer and then help him figure out the one he couldn’t by himself. Afterwards, you’d tell him how proud you were of him.
Lastly, it’s how when Bobby felt alone and that nobody really reciprocated how she loved. You’d try to match her love or even top it. She loved you the most for it. You never made her feel like a problem. You even looked at her like she was everything to you and she loved you dearly for it.
Dogday and Catnap loved that about you. You were sweet, caring, and made sure others were okay before you tried to even look after yourself. That last part was good and bad to them but nevertheless, it still made you so special in everyone’s hearts.
“Wake up, Kitty Catty,” one of the kids said as he poked the side of Catnaps fur. Catnap just opened his eyes and stared. Trying to determine if he’d use his gas or not. This was the second time this kids, Timothy, he believed has walked away from the group to mess with him.
Catnap stood tall. Timothy instantly became fearful, his heart thumping loudly. Soon enough, here you came and ushered Timothy out of Catnaps ‘hiding’ place. you then turned, a nervous smile on your plush lips. “Im sorry, Kitty-“ something he has grown a liking to ever since you called him that your first meet. “He’s just playful and can be a bit eccentric at times.”
Catnap only stared at you. He nodded before he walked away. Strange? he usually put up more of a fight with the others.. why was he so different towards you? you didn’t care too much though as you heard a child cry. your feet moved quicker than your mind and soon, you were holding the crying child up to your chest.
“Charlie? what’s wrong, my dear?” you said, sweetly as you softly rubbed circles on her stomach as she looked up at you. She sniffed and told you she had fell and the other kids began to laugh at her. you sighed, before you pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “Mm, did you tell them that wasn’t very nice?” You asked. Charlotte otherwise known as Charlie shook her head. “Well, maybe you should.. and if it doesn’t stop, tell them that mama is coming for them.” You said, before putting her down and watching her smile.
“Thanks, mama.” She said before she ran off with the other children. You hadn’t noticed Dogday standing behind you with Timothy. Timothy had been telling Dogday all about how Catnap had frightened him.
“That was amazing.” Dogday said, breaking the silence. you were abit frightened but turning around and seeing Dogday, you smiled. “Oh hello!” You greeted. That’s how you and Dogdays friendship began.
You had already knew Catnap and he sat with you sometimes and just watched the ‘stars’ with you. You weren’t expecting for both of them to confess to you a year or maybe even two later. But you weren’t complaining.
They both accepted the fact that you loved them both equally and that they’d have to learn to share. Which they did. It worked good for all three parties and you became an actual mother to your own litter soon enough.
They made you the happiest mother in the world.

hi!! can you write fluff about reader being scared of thunderstorm and sirius is comforting her??
thank you for requesting!! ♡ requests are open
sirius black x fem!reader, modern au + fluff
you cling to sirius tighter in bed as if that's possible.
the room is a bit cold with the rain outside, sirius got one more blanket for you before you fall asleep but he's the warmest still. your head is on his neck, his nose is buried in your hair to smell your shampoo. his bare arms are around you to pull you closer. he kisses your hair in his sleep.
raindrops hit the window cruelly, it's louder when there's no other noise. you are on the edge of falling into a deep slumber, but you can still hear the noises. your leg finds its way under the blankets to stay in between sirius's legs, you press your ear to the pillow.
a brightness fills the dark room, lightning and then a noise of thunder. you flinch as if you've been woken up by someone throwing water on your face, your eyes wide open. another loud noise strucks the room and you lean to your elbow, your arm hits sirius without meaning to.
sirius blinks his eyes open, his hair is a mess as he lifts his head. he doesn't understand what happens until another light covers the room, he reaches for your hand blindly.
"baby." he whispers. "it's okay. it's- let me turn on the lights."
you sit on the bed as he leaves. he turns on the lights and rubs his eyes, he tries to fix his hair but it never works so he gives up. you look up to him, pushing the blankets off. "sorry, siri." you say. "i didn't mean to wake you."
"nonsense, babe." he shrugs. he knows you'll not be able to sleep through the storm. you are already wide awake as if you didn't fall asleep. you hate the sound of the storm, how it feels like everything falls apart outside. it's a scary thing to see the light first and wait for the loud noise of the thunder.
sirius comes back to your side, he tucks a piece of hair behind your ear and rubs your cheek with his thumb. he is staying close in case you want him to hold you, his mind is slowly waking up. he gives you a smile, there's nothing to worry about.
"i think," he starts. "it's the perfect hour to drink a cup of tea, what do you say?"
"if you insist." you say, smirking just like he does. he distracts you and you let him.
"i can even carry you to kitchen." he offers but you know he's bluffing. "wanna be my princess?"
"thank you, but i prefer walking." you kiss his cheek as you leave the bed. he holds your hand on the way to kitchen, his steps are slow and unstable. he yawns, still not awake enough. you kiss his naked shoulder as a way of apologising to wake him up.
"up you go." sirius lifts you to sit on the kitchen counter. he turns on the lights before he puts some water into the kettle.
"thank you." you say, waiting for the water to boil. "you have work tomorrow, you won't get enough sleep."
sirius leans in to put his head on your shoulder. you hug his shoulders, his body between your legs as you stroke his messed up hair. he kisses you until it tickles your skin. you laugh, pulling his head gently to see his face.
"i can function just fine with less sleep, babe, you know i've gone to work countless times after we hang out."
a loud thunder mixes with the noise of kettle and you flinch. sirius holds your waist, his eyes are bright as he looks at you. a kiss on your nose, then on your jawline. "it's okay."
"i can't help it."
"i know." sirius squeezes the softness of your thighs, rubs the skin with comforting circles. the kettle stops. sirius brings two tea bags without lifting his hand from your leg. you help him take two mugs from the cupboard and he prepares teas with his one free hand.
"wanna stay here?" he asks. "or go the couch? or the bed? or-"
"we can go to bed." you smile.
sirius carries the mugs as you settle down on bed. it's not as warm as it was before, you move your legs under blanket. he puts the steaming mugs on his nightstand and wraps his arms around you.
the rain doesn't seem like it'll stop until the morning, sirius checks the weather forecast on his phone. he tightens his hold on you, brushes kisses on your hair. he hands you your mug as he takes a sip from his.
"careful, sweetness." he says, the tea is still so hot.
"i won't burn you, sirius." you say, chuckling.
"okay, maybe stop laughing with the hot tea in your hand."
"no, come on." you say, he puts both of your cups back to their places.
"hm, i don't trust you." he says, he buries his face to your neck, his fingers pressing to your waist. he tickles you until you squirm under him, laughing as if your life depends on it. he tires you out, you are breathless when he stops. the sounds of thunderstorm become faint with your laughs, sirius plays with you for minutes.
"okay." you say, your cheeks are blushing so hard. "okay, stop! i'll sleep, promise-"
"i'll sleep." you say. "just stop tickling."
"yeah?" he asks, smirking devilishly. "you'll sleep?"
"it was a pleasure to engage nightly activities with you, sweetling." he winks. "come on, you really should sleep now."
sirius quickly turns the lights off. you feel really tired, you snuggle against his body to get comfy.
"i think the storm is less loud now." you say. "is it?"
"yes, and it'll probably stop entirely in a few hours." sirius replies. "but if you feel uncomfortable, wake me up. don't try to get through the night by yourself."
"okay." you say, kissing him thanks.
"good night, baby." he says. the tea goes cold on his nightstand.

How your first kisses with Nikto and Gromsko would feel
Masterlist Part 1 (Gaz, Soap, Ghost) Part 2 (Price, Nikolai, König)
Never wrote for these two, but... hey, why not? Maybe I got too carried away with Niktos drama.
Nikto
A few saw the fear in this man's eyes. But here you are: looking him deep in the eyes and witnessing panic taking over Niktos mind.
The only time, he takes off his mask with you around is when you are sleeping. No matter how much reassurance you gave him - he only allows himself to spend a few hours without disguise, strictly when you can't see him.
Sometimes you wake up, feeling him sliding under your blanket, pressing his chest against your back. But he never lets you turn back to face him. Any attempt of yours ends up with Nikto hugging you tighter, burying his face somewhere between a pillow and your hair, muttering 'Spi krepko, moy svet*'.
You are his light, so he is determined to never darken your life with the sight of his face. So imagine his horror when he wakes up from the touch of your fingers on his cheek. He must have relaxed too much, didn't notice you shifting in your sleep. And now it is too late: you see, even worse - you feel his ugliness on the tips of your fingers.
He freezes, but something unkind awakes in his eyes. Guilt, self-hatred, doubt.
"We must go." Nikto snarls raspy and sharply pulls away from your hands. He must disappear from your sight, stop harassing your soft soul with his face right now.
You know, how bad it is when this 'we' appears instead of 'I'. This rarely happens, but when it starts - he abandons you for weeks, sometimes for months, hiding somewhere from the entire world. And you can't let this situation escalate.
With one swift motion, you catch his hand and pull it to your face. His name, not a call sign, his real name escapes from your lips and that catches his attention.
"Look at me. Stay close and look at me, love." You talk to him, as if you are guiding him through all his terrors towards a solace, he usually finds in your eyes.
As his fingers trace your features, you mimic his movements, letting him feel, how his touch feels against your skin. Slowly, his breath steadies.
You don't rush it: you let him calm down and get comfortable before you lean closer and plant the softest kiss at the corner of his lips. Nikto doesn't lean back, doesn't push you away, but he presses his lips firmly together and slowly shakes his head in silent refusal.
I can't.
You learned to understand him, even when he doesn't let some thoughts out. It wasn't the easiest thing to do, but you learned to read it in his eyes. And now you see regret and sorrow. His face stays calm, but his eyes scream 'I would give anything to be able to dare, but I can't'.
So you do it for him: dare to cross this line instead of him. Your first kiss is left unanswered, but as you brush your lips against his again and again - he closes his eyes, lowers his head in a final attempt to regain control over himself, but fails and catches your lips in a short, but desperate kiss.
His answer to your caresses is like a distant storm - abrupt touches to your lips resemble lightning dancing over the horizon, his hands slowly bringing you closer shatter your mind like a thunder. Never have you ever felt so much from so little contact. This man has such a power over you - it should scare you. But you feel like you want more: you want his lips to linger on yours for a longer time, you want his hands running all over your body.
You allow yourself just a taste - a tip of your tongue lightly traces just a few millimeters of his Niktos lips, and he groans quietly. As he pauses for a moment to look you in the eyes and maybe find there regret or disgust, you can barely calm down your deepened breath and ask, plead to keep kissing you.
He traces his fingers over your jawline and deepens the kiss, gradually leaving sorrow and fear of scaring you away behind. For who is he to deny his light's wish? Nobody. Nikto.
Spi krepko, moy svet* - sleep well, my light
Sobieslaw "Gromsko" Kościuszko
Two main things, you've learned about this big burly loud guy over the years of your friendship are his incredible hospitality and absolute forgiveness. Those, who don't know him, may be afraid of Gromsko the first time they see him, but you know the guy too well for that. He is a giant softie, when it comes to you.
So there were no allegations, when you not even offered, but straight presented him with a fait accompli, that you are cooking a dinner at his place the next time, you visit him. You didn't tell him, but you were afraid, that if he cooks once again for you - you are not leaving his house, you are rolling out of it. His eagerness to feed you could compete only with your granny`s. Maybe it was a cultural thing, maybe he genuinely was worried about you being too small - but Gromsko saw it like his top priority mission.
"Sobieslaw, stop it right now, or I'm chopping your fingers off!" You laugh, maneuvering a kitchen knife, so that it touches only carrot. It's impossible to shield a cutting board from him, as Gromsko practically envelops you, laying his chin on the top of your head and stealing a bite of every single ingredient, you use.
"I'm helping, słoneczko*!" You like the feeling of his voice, reverberating in his broad chest. It is like a purring cat, pressed against your back.
Maybe you lean back on him too obviously, because at some point he smirks and asks if you need more space.
"I'm fine, So. Just... just try to not eat our dinner before I even cooked it, ok?" You are still giggling and don't even notice, how he drops his face into your hair and just stands like that, drowning in your scent.
"Good. It is good, you feel fine, when I'm around." Suddenly his voice is much softer, and you hear him right above your ear.
He brushes your hair off the side and plants a small warm kiss right behind your ear. You freeze, not sure, how to interpret this sudden shift in your friend's behavior.
"I should stop, or you're chopping my fingers right now?" He is so close, yet he doesn't touch you anymore. Not until you let him.
You slowly turn to him. "I should, if you didn't mean, what you just did."
His face lights with the happiest, widest smile.
"Oh, but I do, słońce. I certainly do."
His kiss on your lips is incredibly soft, his warm breath tickles your skin, as he cups your face. Sobieslaw is caring in every his motion, helping you to relax and just live in this moment. He smiles into your kiss, gives you a complete freedom to do whatever you feel like, only showing you, that there is nothing, he wouldn't do for you. As his tongue brushes against yours, warmth ignites deep in your chest and feels you with a sensational feeling. Feeling of becoming his.

Chapter 7
A storm rages outside, thunder booming, causing the house to shake each time. Y/n doesn’t have curtains in her room so every flash of lightning lights up the room causing the omega to toss and turn unable to sleep.
With a huff she looks at the clock on the nightstand to see it’s about three in the morning when another loud clash of thunder shakes the house once again causing her to sit up, shaking a bit in fear. She wonders if anyone else is up because of the storm or if she’s the only one.
The alphas told her if she ever needed anything at night to just go to their room and Felix said if she wants to cuddle but she feels silly going to one of them because of a storm. She’s not afraid necessarily but she just doesn’t like how the thunder shakes the house and the sound of rain that normally soothes people irritates her.
With a sigh she gets up deciding that she’ll go downstairs and maybe watch tv in the living room or game room to keep her occupied and distracted. Walking past everyone else’s rooms as quietly as possible she makes it down stairs stopping in the kitchen first to grab a glass of water. After gulping down most of it, setting it down on the counter, thunder boomed causing her to jump and the kitchen light turned on.
“What are you doing up?” Chan walks in having been the one to turn the light on after seeing her jump from the thunder.
“Sorry, did I wake you?”
The alpha shakes his head no. “I’m a light sleeper, anyone walking past my room I hear. Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” Y/n leans against the counter. “Just having trouble sleeping, I don't really like storms.”
Thundering crashing causes her to tense up.
“Why didn’t you come to one of us?”
Y/n blushes feeling embarrassed. “I felt it was silly to need comfort just because of a storm”
“We get it, Felix doesn’t like storms either.” He tries to help her feel better. “Pretty sure I heard him go to Hyun’s room when the storm first started.”
“Oh.” She now feels stupid for thinking it was silly.
“Baby girl, we’re here if you need anything, even if it’s something as small as needing to be with someone during a storm.” He moves to her and pulls her to him. “Why don’t we head to my room? You can sleep in my bed.”
“You really don’t have to do that.” Y/n protests. “I’ll be okay.”
“You’re a real stubborn omega.” Chan huffs, gently grabbing her around the waist, throwing her over his shoulder making her squeal a little and walks up stairs after turning the kitchen light back off. “You’re not getting a choice in this.”
Y/n huffs accepting her fate letting him take her to his room, pulling the blankets back and placing her in the bed tucking her in.
“I normally sleep without a shirt, is that okay?” He asks hovering over her. “If not I can sleep with it on tonight, I don’t mind.”
“It’s okay.” The omega whispers. “I want you to be comfortable too.”
He smiles down at her before taking his shirt off causing her to blush as she sees how muscular he is. She turns away as he climbs in the bed next to her getting situated.
“Is this okay?” He checks in on her since she’s turned away. When she hums a yes he smirks before wrapping an arm around her and pulls her so her back is against his chest. “What about this?”
“This is fine.” She mumbles, glad he can’t see her as she’s blushing so hard right now.
“Good.” Chan hums snuggling her closer to him if that was even possible and kisses the top of her head. “Goodnight baby girl.”
“Goodnight Channie.”
The next morning Y/n wakes up alone in Chan's bed with a headache. She heads downstairs to find anyone.
“Where is everyone?” She asks Jisung as she walks in the kitchen.
“Chan and Changbin had to go into the office one last time this week. They normally don’t have to go in more than once a week but because of your dry heat starting tomorrow or the day after they decided to head up there to make sure everything is good since we don’t know how long it could last.” He starts to explain. “Minho had one of his advanced dance classes today as well as a one on one so he’ll be back in a little bit. Felix went with Hyunjin to teach his art class at the community center in town. Seungmin is around here somewhere and Jeongin is in the home gym.”
The omega nods but quickly regrets it as it makes her head hurt worse.
“Are you okay?”
“Have a headache.” She whimpers, placing a hand against her temple. “Didn’t really sleep well last night because of the storm.”
“Oh, you don’t like storms either like Felix?” He hums in understanding and grabs her arm leading her to the living room. “Why don’t you lay down on the couch for a bit? I’ll get you a glass of water. I’m about to go take a walk around the property anyways so it’ll be quiet down here for a bit. I’ll tell Jeongin and Seungmin to keep it down too.”
“Thanks Ji.” She smiles, laying down on the couch as he places a blanket over her.
He brings her a big cup of ice water placing it on the coffee table as well as places the house phone with it.
“If you need anything my cell is speed dial five. Jeongin’s is eight but he’s got music playing in the gym so he might not hear his phone ringing.”
She gives him a weak smile before he leaves through the back door making sure his ringer is turned up all the way in case she calls.
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆
Seungmin sits in his room strumming his guitar, a little annoyed after Jisung had messaged him saying to keep it down because the stupid omega has a headache. He’s really getting irritated with her presence and doesn't understand how almost all of his other mates are accepting of her. He’s just glad he has Hyunjin on his side.
Needing to get his anger and frustration out he decides to head out to the batting cages Chan had set up for him in the field in the back near the shed. But that all changes when he walks out of his room and smells a distressed scent and his beta starts telling him that his fated mate is in pain.
He runs downstairs as quickly as possible, scared it might be Jeongin as he knows he’s been in the gym and remembers how Jisung once had to save Changbin when he was being crushed by weights. What he wasn’t expecting though was to find the omega in the living room, writhing in pain as she clutches her lower stomach, moaning and whimpering in pain. And he realizes it’s her his beta is telling him is in pain.
“Fuck, fuck.” Seungmin runs over realizing her dry heat has started sooner than the others had expected and now that the suppressants have worn off he can fully smell her and his beta is telling him that she is in fact his fated mate.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay, I’m here.” He shushes her while rubbing her beck, trying to put out calming pheromones but she’s in too much pain for it to help. “I’m going to move you to the den, okay?”
He picks her up and realizes just how light she is as he carries her to the den and settles her into the nest. He grabs one of the heating pads Minho bought, placing it where she’s clutching. She’s sweating and is hurting and he doesn’t know what to do.
He brushes her hair out of her face to see if she’d look at him but it’s as if she’s not aware of anything around her.
“Fuck.” He growls, pulling his phone out and dials Chan's number.
“Hey Minnie, miss us already?” The alpha tries to joke.
“It’s Y/n.” Seungmin pants knowing he can hear the fear in his voice. “She started her dry heat. I don’t know what to do. She’s whimpering in pain and clutching her abdomen. I moved her to the den and gave her the heating pad but she’s sweating and doesn’t seem to be aware of anything right now.”
“Fuck.” Chan groans then says something to someone else in the background. “Alright, Changbin and I are leaving now, we’ll be home as soon as we can. Where’s Innie and Ji?”
“Umm, Ji went out on his daily calming walk and Innies in the gym, but I’m too afraid to leave her alone.” Seungmin is frantic as he looks around. “I don’t know how to help her hyung.” He whimpers. “I know now, I know she’s our fated mate and I’ve been such a dick.”
“Listen to me, Seungmin, she’s going to need you right now.” Chan speaks slowly. “She shouldn’t be alone, it can cause separation anxiety. I’ll call Innie so he can get done and shower and will take over for you if you want or will just come and help you. As well as Ji. For the meantime just lay with her in the nest, keep the heating pad on her. Try and keep your scent calm, you might need to scent her if you’re okay with doing that. If she seems to get too feverious call me back. I’ll call Felix, Hyunjin and Minho and tell them what’s going on so you don’t have to worry about it. We’ll be there as soon as we can.”
“Okay Channie.” Seungmin takes a deep breath. “I’m really sorry for how I’ve been acting and treating her.”
“It’s okay Minnie. I know you were upset about all of this, it’s okay.” Chan reassures the beta. “Just be there for her now okay? She’ll forgive you for everything, I know she will.”
“Thanks hyung.” He sighs. “I’ll see you guys soon.”
“See you soon baby.”
Seungmin hangs up and tries to stay calm for the omega as he curls up behind her, wrapping an arm around her abdomen to hold the heating pad to her. His other hand plays with her hair as he tries to soothe her. He decided on singing to her hoping it’ll keep her calm. Her moans and whines of pain start to lessen as she relaxes against him a bit, her eyes stay closed though.
“If you can hear me Y/n, tap my hand.” He whispers and she taps his hand lightly. “Good girl. I know you’re in a lot of pain right now but I’m right here. The hyungs and Innie will be here soon too. But I’m not going anywhere, I promise.”
“How is she?” Jeongin steps into the doorway, still sweaty from working out.
“In pain but she’s calmed down a bit now.” The beta explains.
The youngest nods in understanding, setting a glass of water down next to the nest before moving to the windows closing the curtains so the sun isn’t shining into the den. “Make sure to keep her hydrated. I’m gonna pull the curtains on the glass doors and close them, hopefully the lack of light will help with her headache as well as closing off the den will keep any loud noises from the others when they get back from disturbing her.”
“Good idea Innie.”
“I’m gonna go shower. Jisung should be back soon.” The alpha watches them for a moment. “If you want we can take over for you when we’re back, or we can just join you guys.”
“I’ve been keeping a distance long enough.” Seungmin grunts. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Jeongin smiles at him. “Alright hyung, I’ll be back.”
“You need to drink some water. Can you sit up for me?” Seungmin looks down at the omega who groans. “I know pup but you need to stay hydrated.”
He helps her sit up, leaning heavily against his chest, groaning and whimpering with every movement as he brings the cup to her lips helping her drink.
“Minho said she should take these. They should help with her headache and cramping. ” Jisung walks in with the two pill tablets and hands them to Seungmin to help her take them. “He’s having to go pick up Felix from the community center because Hyunjin is being an ass and won’t drive him back.”
Seungmin rolls his eyes but then reminds himself that he was acting the same way the last few days. But he tries not to think too heavily on that as he makes sure Y/n takes the tablets.
After he made sure she drank a good amount of water he settles her back down as Jisung refills the cup before crawling into the nest as well.
“I’m here Y/nnie.”
“Ji.” She whimpers but cuddles closer to both betas and they both scent her to help ease everything.
“Move over.” Jeongin walks in. “Let me have her.”
The two betas don’t want to but know that the alpha must be going crazy internally having the need to protect her. They make room for him but stay as close as they can not willing to leave her at all.
“Alpha.” Y/n whimpers.
“I’m here omega.” Jeongin coos petting her head. “I’m here, you're safe.”
The three of them stay like that with her for a while until Chan and Changbin get home, rushing into the den. They pause when they see the betas and alpha snuggled up to her. She’s still clutching a heating pad to her abdomen and her face scrunches up occasionally in pain but for the most part she seems okay.
“Hi hyungs.” Jeongin whispers, giving them a small smile.
“Hi baby.” Chan smiles back. “You pups did really good taking care of your omega. I’m proud of you guys.”
When Y/n whimpers again Chan walks over and kneels next to the nest placing a hand on her cheek.
“Hey baby girl.” He whispers, she leans into his hand and opens her eyes a little.
“She doesn't seem to be as hazy as she was when I first found her.” Seungmin mentions seeing that she’s more aware now.
“You guys being with her probably helped a lot.” Changbin explains watching the omega.
“We made sure she drank water and everything but she hasn’t eaten yet.” Jisung speaks up.
“Where is she?” Felix runs through the house and into the den, but gets stopped by Changbin real quickly.
“Calm down.” He holds the younger one in his arms. “You don’t want to overwhelm her with your emotions.”
Felix pouts but nods as he takes a few deep breaths relaxing in the alphas arms.
“Alright, everyone out.” Minho walks in with the paper bag from the doctors as well as some of Y/n’s new comfy clothes.
“But…”
“Out.” Minho interrupts Felix’s protests. “I need to make sure she gets her medicine and I’m going to help her change, so everyone get out. You can cuddle with her after I’m done.”
Changbin picks up Felix to make the omega leave as Minho walks over and switches spots with the three in the nest to help take her weight and hold her up.
“Where’s Hyunjin?” Chan asks, still kneeling next to the nest.
“Wouldn’t leave the community center.” Minho sighs. “I told him if he’s going to be an asshole then don't bother coming home.”
“I’ll call him while you do this, try and talk some sense into him.” Chan rubs the bridge of his nose and stands up.
“Good luck with that, he yelled at Lix and made him cry.”
Chan growls and pulls his phone out of his pocket.
“Where’s your head at, kitten?” Minho asks once everyone left the den.
“It hurts, Min.” She whines as he lifts her shirt up over her head.
“I know baby, but let me do this real quick then you can snuggle with Felix.” He starts to rub the cream on her side then moves to her arm.
He makes her take her antibiotic then slips her new shirt on her before helping her change from sweatpants to sleep shorts. He lays her down, placing the heating pad back on her abdomen.
“Alpha.” She whines and he moves closer to her.
“I’m right here kitten, I’m not going anywhere.” He scents her, keeping her close for a moment enjoying the time alone with her. “Alright, she’s good.”
Minho knew that Changbin and Felix were standing right outside the door and would hear him and laughs a little when Felix bolts in and crawls into the nest as quickly as possible while still being gentle and snuggles up to the younger omega.
“Channie hyungs making her a snack while he yells at Hyunjin on the phone.” Felix tells the alpha still upset at the oldest beta for refusing to take him home and yelling at him.
“Are you okay baby.” Changbin asks Felix, joining them in the nest.
“I am now that I’m here.” He whispers curled up with Y/n.
The two alphas smile down at their omegas as they hope Y/n’s dry heat goes by quickly.

You're Gonna Laugh
Female reader x Peter Parker
Summary: Peter is scared of thunderstorms and doesn't want you to know
Warnings: just a lot of fluff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You two are right now asleep, well you are. Peter is laying on his back wide awake trying to suppress the feeling of tears away. He has been afraid of thunderstorms ever since he was a little kid. He'd always hide underneath the blankets, humming a song or he would go to Aunt May's room to cuddle with her.
He feels so stupid, no other sixteen-year-old boy is scared and on the verge of tears because of a lousy storm. It's hard for him to not flinch or move, scared that he'd wake you up.
Another blast of thunder erupted from the sky making Peter whimper and hide underneath the comforter. Soon after you woke up to light humming. You looked around the room and realized that your boyfriend was under the comforter making the humming noise.
"Peter? What are you doing?" You asked and went underneath the comforter too. Once you did his humming immediately stopped and he closed his eyes trying to pretend he was sleeping. You just smiled lightly and rolled your eyes. "Pete, what's wrong? I know you're awake" you said and started to lightly twirl strands of his hair between your fingers.
He turned around facing you with a tear-stained face. "Oh, Baby what's wrong? Is there anything I can do to help?" You asked. Peter just looked up at you and then nuzzled his head into your chest. "Your gonna laugh at me though" he complained, You looked at him "Bub I'm not going to laugh, I promise. You can tell me".
Peter looked up at you again and mumbled "I'm scared of thunderstorms." If you weren't so close to him you wouldn't have heard. "Baby that's okay a lot of people are scared of them" You soothed and started to play a bit with his hair. "Yeah, Babys and little kids, not teenagers," He said and another crack of lightning and thunder happened. Making him whimper and hug you squeeze your torso even more than he was already.
"Okay Pete, I need to be able to breath" You lightly laughed a bit. He pouted and loosened his grip a little, looking up at you.
"Don't worry, it'll be okay. The storm will go away soon" you said and brought him into your arms, holding him.
"In and out, there we go" You soothed him. You exaggerated your breathing as he followed suit.
You brought your right hand up to the back of his head and ran your fingers through his hair. He snuggled into you more and basically purred like a cat as you held him to you.
