I remember in high school a lot of english teachers would make us write down words that we didn't know when we were reading novels for class, but they would require at least a certain number of these words, so whenever I was reading I was forced to use some of my focus searching for words that I could believably pretend I didn't know for points.

And so now when I'm reading books for fun and I actually find a lot of words I don't know, I get a little bit annoyed. Cuz if it's this easy to find books that are actually challenging when I'm not even looking, why did teachers keep giving me books where I had to pretend that I, as a 17 year old, didn't know what "envy" or "resilient" meant.

Jack and Maddie are legit crazy mad scientist.

They moved to amity before jazz was born. Prior to the justice league. Those who didn’t comply when the moved were swiftly taken care of.

All outside new sources come from them amity has only seen what the fentons want.

The Giw were hired by the Fentons. Both are bad. But who would the town rather deal with the shoot first supposed government. Or the wacky Fenton parents.

And how many parents can exactly actively stake out a school. How many times had they been inside the school during the school day.

That is until mr lancer comes into play. Somehow he managed to slip by and entered the town this year. Earning a position of vice principal right under their noses.

He actively promotes Danny doing better. Actually forcing him to do his work and learn.

He takes notes of Danny’s declining health. Falling asleep in class, the bruises and reports the fentons. Only for nothing to happen.

Lancer then takes notes of the eccentric actions of the fentons. The screaming of tearing the ghosts apart. He knows about the truth of the outside world. He knows this would go against the meta human protection acts. So he makes a mental note to contact the proper services of the need arises.

After the events of the town being yoinked into the infinite realms. He finally acts. Sending out an email and call to the justice league hotline. Unbeknownst to him both being stopped by the Fenton parents.

Obviously they plan to deal with him when the time is right.

The only reason he stays is because no other adult seems to care about the kids. He was the only one who event attempted to check in on them during the ghost flu.

He can’t stand by any longer when he sees the two Fenton parents hunting phantom. See them getting skilled shots in. Actively forcing phantom into Danny. But they don’t stop. Still shooting at Danny.

Mr. Lancer watches as Jazz, Sam and Tucker manage to get them away. He ushers them to his car the five hardly manages to make it out. Danny seriously injured.

It’s only then does the phone connect to the justice league helpline.

Hey Kits! How was your day? New promt!

Danny fenton, Phantom, ghost boy, eldritch abomination, son, brother, and now, an arts teacher.

How did he reach here you ask?

Well Danny can't quite tell you either (he's still confused) but here's the short summary.

Danny had continued his activities as Phantom, slowly growing tired of constantly being chased around and accused.

The breaking point was when he and Ellie nearly died at the hands of the GIW. So. Here Danny was, now an arts teacher at Gotham academy home to the rich and snobby. Why arts you ask? Well, it was all Sam's idea.

They were planning on getting the position as a science teacher instead, but Sam pointed out it'd be too obvious. And besides, who would expect Danny Fenton to be an arts teacher of all things?

So, art it was.

However, danny (thanks to Sam's forced enrollment in arts study) has become quite proficient in teaching arts, and he has noticed just one student hanging back, and staying during break times.

The infamous Damian Wayne.

Okay Heartstopper season 2 was beautiful but what made me cry was Mr. Farouk talking about how he felt like he missed out on all the beautiful, insignificant, moments of being young and queer because he didn’t realize he was gay until his late 20s.

And as someone who didn’t realize she was bi until she was 20 that really hit me because I have also felt like I missed out on so much and it sometimes makes me feel a bit like an outsider in my own community because I don’t have these shared experiences.

And it just makes me happy to see my life reflected on screen in this way.

he either teaches 13ish year olds Algebra 1 or OR he teaches adults who are learning mathematics later in life! He’s trying to lay off the coffee at his therapist’s insistence. He’s gotten down to only 3 cups on a good day.

Pearl/Maya channels Mia the day before his very first lesson, and he practices the whole lesson plan on her because he’s actually nervous. </3 That’s the last time he’s seen her.

idk what's weirder for iruka: konohamaru becoming a jounin sensei or shino becoming an academy teacher and both of them are his colleagues now instead of former students. one is a reformed prankster carbon copy of naruto and one spoke maybe four words to him during the entire time he knew the kid. imagine running into them in the staff room. i would need to leave immediately.

they also refuse to call him without honorifics or if this is a modern AU - mr umino/sir/sensei. iruka tries so hard to make them comfortable and feeling like they're his colleagues, to no avail. they got as far as 'iruka-sensei' and then promptly faltered.

all the little students look up to iruka as a superhero. their teacher's teacher. none of that silliness where they don't respect him - his disappointed face is lethal
