Okay, I'm gonna go on a rant here a bit.

I fucking cannot stand how modern day almost completely abandoned some genres of games. What was the last Point-And-Click Quest you heard about? What the last puzzle game that became popular? The last visual novel that isn't a dating sim or ddlc (that came out in 2017 which was 6 years ago btw) that received any public attention?

These small genres of games are not necessarily dying specifically visual novels, these are huuugely supported by their own fanbase of creative people and players.

It doesn't mean that they don't exist. They do. As indie games mostly for understandable reasons. But no one talks about them. At all.
