I Like Me Better When I’m With You
Rating: Teen
Relationship: Janus/Patton, Moceit
Summary: Janus Dean did not mean to start dating Patton Hart for political gain, and he definitely did not mean to fall in love with him.
(Or the fake dating high school AU that nobody asked for but everyone needed.)
Based on this prompt by the incredible @kawaiikat54
Warnings: cursing, homophobia(nothing violent)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everybody loves Patton Hart. He’s one of those rare popular kids who got their popularity by being a great person. Patton knows everyone’s first and last name and he’s in almost every club. He’s every teacher’s favorite student and every girl’s crush. He never curses and is nice to everyone. He’ll help you with your homework and listen to your problems. He gives hugs like it's nothing. Patton Hart thinks life is a fairy tale.
Jason Dean absolutely despises Patton Hart. Everything in Patton’s life is perfect and everything he can get everything he’s ever wanted just by showing up. Janus has to fight for what he wants every step of the way. Janus is not trusted easily like Patton. Janus has a resting bitch face, whereas Patton’s face naturally falls into a smile. Janus is the night of Patton's day.
For most of high school, Janus has been fine ignoring Patton. They never got in each other’s way, and Janus and his friend Ethan bonded over laughing at him. Janus stayed in his lane and Patton stayed in his that’s our it’s always been.
Today everything changed. Today Patton Hart entered the race for student body president. Janus has spent the past month campaigning and building up goodwill, but it’s all pointless. Voters will take one look at the name Patton Hart and check the box next to his name. Patton doesn’t even have to captain. Just like always, Patton wins just by showing up.
It’s infuriating, and it means that Janus will have to fight dirty.
When the bell for lunch rings, Janus exits through the backdoor of the courtyard. It’s empty like it always is.
Across the courtyard, his friend Ethan is leaning against the hard brick wall with a cigarette in one hand, and a flask in the other.
“‘Sup Janus.”
“Hello, Ethan, did you hear the news?”
“That Hart’s running for president? Yeah.”
“What do you think we should do about it?”
“Probably something he wouldn’t like,” Ethan says, and Janus laughs.
“What did you have in mind? Stage a scandal? Hack his email? Push him down a flight of stairs?” Janus was pretty partial to the last one.
“Fun, but no. To win this race you’re going to have to go big or go home.”
That doesn’t sound good, especially coming from Ethan.
“What do you mean, go big or go home?”
“You need to pretend to date Patton Hart.”
Janus laughed, “Absolutely not.”
Ethan growled at him, “Did I fucking stutter Dean?”
Janus glared at him, “Did I? I’m not doing that.”
Ethan did not back down, “Take a second to think about it before you get all your feather ruffled. If you pretend to date Patton, you will get everything. You will find out what’s under his everything is a perfect persona. You’ll have a confession that he’s gay. If you do it you’re practically guaranteed to win the race.”
Janus pauses, “You have a point. I’ll think about it. You happy?”
“Ecstatic.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been a week and Janus has thought of a way to talk to Patton, let alone ask him out. Hell, despite what Ethan says, he doesn’t even know if Patton is gay, bi, or pan at all.
Despite the fact that if he is in fact, not straight, Patton is closeted, Ethan has been texting him more and more every day, and at this point, Janus might just flat out ask Patton out just to get him to shut up.
As if on cue, Janus’ phone buzzes with a text. He doesn’t have to check who it is. He groans and shuts his phone off. History class is about to begin anyways.
In the time that he’s read the text and dumped his phone into his bag, Patton Hart has somehow managed to sneak up on him.
“Everything ok?” Patton asks, and there’s genuine concern in his voice. It drives Janus crazy. Through his glasses, Janus can see the concern and care in his big brown eyes, and it’s so powerful that he almost has to take a step back.
Janus looks away from Patton, “Of course it is, why wouldn’t it be?”
Patton just shrugs, “You just seemed stressed.”
“Oh well, thank you for your concern but I have everything under control,” Janus says, and why is it so hard for him to talk to Patton. Each word sounds awkward and unsure and it’s a complete 180 from the smooth and suave tone he usually uses.
Before the conversation can get any more awkward, the bell rings.
“Glad to hear it,” Patton says.
Janus just nodded and walked inside the classroom.
Within the next few minutes, kids start filing in and sitting in their usual spots. Patton is sitting in the front predictably and Janus is watching him from the third row.
Once all the students have filed into the dilapidated classroom their teacher, Mr. Rivers walks up to the front of the class.
“All right everybody!” He says. “So today I thought we could switch things up a bit, and instead of me teaching you something like we normally do, you could teach your classmates and me something?”
The class stares at him blankly, but Mr. Rivers doesn’t seem to notice their lack of a reaction.
“So I decided that you all, with the help of a partner, will present on a series of influential people throughout history who all share one trait in common. It’s opened ended, so the thing all your people have in common can be creative! Hopefully y’all can have fun with this! Today you are going to have all of this class period to talk with your partner and get started, the project will be due next week. Any questions?”
Only one girl raises her hand, and Mr. Rivers calls on her enthusiastically, “Can we choose our Partners?” She says.
“Nope! I’m going to be picking partners for you all, it’s great to work with new people.” He replies cheerfully.
A low groan rumbles through the classroom, but Mr. Rivers doesn’t comment on it.
“Alright so first up is Will Solace and Nico De Angelo.”
The teacher keeps on listening names until finally Janus’ name was called,
“...and finally we have Patton Hart and Janus Hart.”
Well, that was one way to get the plan going. At least he’d have something to report to Ethan.
Janus was not ready when Patton came bounding towards his Desk, with brown curls bouncing in time with his steps.
Janus was pretty sure he could stare at Patton and still not have counted every one of his freckles, the kid had so many.
“Hey, Janus!” Patton was at his desk.
“Hi, Patton.”
“So what do you wanna do? I know a lot of the other kids are doing soldiers from the same wars and stuff so we could do that if you’d like”
“Well,” Janus mock whispers, “I was thinking we could spice things up a little bit, maybe do some queer people throughout history, freak the class out about it.” Janus was acting nonchalant but on the inside he was nervous; Patton’s reaction could change this entire election.
Patton’s face seemed to light up even more if that was even possible. “That sounds awesome! There are so many people throughout history and no one even knows about it! Like did you know historians think Abraham Lincoln might have been gay? Or Eleanor Roosevelt, they found letters from her to a female lover or Alan Turing, he was essential in the liberation of Europe from Nazi Germany, and he was gay!”
Janus raises an eyebrow, “Wow Patton you sure do know a lot.”
Patton freezes and then rushes to defend himself, “Oh yeah I just wanted to support my LGBTQ friends by learning about their history! I just want to be a good ally.” Patton smiles but Janus can tell he’s nervous.
Yep, Janus thinks, totally just an ally.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two weird things happen next week. Janus and Patton get an A on their assignment and Patton start sitting at Janus’ table. Janus has no clue why; Patton could sit at any table in the entire cafeteria and be welcomed as an honored guest. The first week Patton sits at Janus’ table, Janus doesn’t talk to all. He has his recorder on sure, but he’s too confused to respond.
Patton talks about everything. He talks about frogs and theater and the stars. He talks about his family and his favorite colors.
It should drive Janus crazy, but it doesn’t.
Listening to Patton talk becomes one of the best parts of his day.
When Janus finally starts throwing in a sarcastic comment here and there, Patton’s smile could outshine the sun.
Janus ignores the fact that his heart speeds up more than it should when he’s around Patton.
With every recording he sends to Ethan, his guilt grows and grows. Janus doesn’t know how to handle the guilt, and he definitely doesn’t know how to deal with how he feels about Patton.
He can’t stop thinking about Patton, even when they’re not at lunch together. He can’t stop thinking about the way Patton’s eyebrows crinkle together when he laughs or how he gives Janus his full attention when he talks. He doesn’t want to think about the swell of anger in his gut every time someone so much as looks bad in Patton’s direction.
Today though, today something is wrong with Patton.
He won’t make eye contact with Janus, and he’s hunched in on himself. His smile is absent, and he won’t stop twisting his fingers.
This isn’t how Patton’s supposed to be. He’s supposed to be joyful and happy. But that’s not right, is it? Janus has always thought of Patton as a positivity god, above it all. Now, as Patton fidgets in front of him, Janus is reminded of how undeniably human Patton is.
Patton’s voice is so low that Janus isn’t sure if I heard you, “Do I bother you?”
Janus blinks. He never thought someone like Patton would ask him questions like that.
“Of course not,” Janus says, and it’s the truth. He loves being around Patton. He loves hearing him talk, he loves the fact that he’s three inches taller than Patton, he loves how Patton makes him feel better about himself when Patton is around. Janus wants to find whoever made Patton believe that he was a bother and give them a black eye. Or two.
Patton still remains hunched in on himself, “It’s ok Janus, I know you’re just being sarcastic.”
“Patton,” Janus says, “Look at me,” He waits until Patton reluctantly meets his gaze, “You’re not a bother, in fact, sitting here with you at lunch is the highlight of my day.”
Patton lets out a surprised o with his mouth, and Janus isn’t sure whether or not he wants to wrap Patton in a thousand blankets or hunt down everyone who ever hurt him.
Patton is making Janus soft, but he can’t find himself to care.
Next Tuesday, Patton comes up to his table like he’s about to go to war. His shoulders are tensed and his eyebrows are furrowed. His backpack straps are pulled as tight as possible and he’s marching towards Janus’ table.
“I’m gay. And I wanted to tell you because you’re the first person in my life who doesn’t care about who I am or what I can do for you and I really hope that’s okay” Patton says, and he’s shaking a little.
Janus is struck by how brave Patton is. Janus has never had the guts to come out, not like this, and here Patton is, exposing himself completely. Janus can see the fear in his eyes, but Patton doesn’t let it stop him.
“I knew you weren’t just an ally.”
Patton twirls the bracelet on his left wrist, “Am I really that obvious?”
Janus shakes his head, “Nah, it just takes one to one.” Janus watches as the confusion on Patton’s eyes morphs into realization.
“Oh,” Patton says.
“Yeah” Janus replies.
Patton smiles at him and starts talking about frogs.
Janus’ phone feels heavier with the recording of Patton coming out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Janus sends the recording of Patton’s coming he should feel good. He did it, that tape is enough to ruin Patton’s popularity for the rest of high school. He won.
But he doesn’t feel good. In fact, he’s never felt worse. He’s going to get everything he ever wanted and he hates it.
He can’t keep doing this to Patton, he can’t keep pretending to be the friend Patton so desperately needs when his moral compass is practically pointed towards Antarctica.
He can’t take back the damage he did to Patton, but maybe he can stop pushing the knife deeper.
He picks up his phone and texts Ethan.
Janus Dean, 7:30 pm: we’re done, I’m not going to pretend to date Patton anymore, I’m not going to send you recordings anymore.
Ethan doesn’t even bother texting him back, He just calls Janus a few seconds after he receives the text.
Janus picks up his phone and takes a deep breath. He has a feeling he’ll need it.
“What the fuck Dean?”
“Hello to you too Ethan,” Janus says, hoping the sarcasm will hide the panic.
“Don’t you fucking dare ‘Hello Ethan’ me.” Ethan snarls, “A deal is a deal, you can’t just pull out like this.”
“Why do you care anyway? You’re not running for student body president, I am!”
“Aw, you’re cute Dean.”
“What the hell is that supposed to mean.” Janus snaps.
“You think I give a shit about your little election? Are you crazy? I could care less, no this was all about Patton.”
“What do you have against him?”
A manic laughed echoed through the phone, “I want to see that dumb smile fall right off his moronic face.”
“That’s it? You’re going to ruin his life because you’re feeling petty?” Janus knows Ethan isn’t the most ethical person out there but this is low even for him.
Ethan doesn’t seem to care, “Now you’re getting it, JDelightful.”
Fuck, He underestimated how crazy Ethan could be.
Janus could hear Ethan smiling through the phone, “You’re going to regret saying no to me.” He said, and with that, the line went dead.
It was all over. Patton, the one person who ever cared about Janus was going to leave. It wasn’t a matter of if, it was a matter of when.
However, he did still have a few hours left. And he had nothing else to lose.
Janus Dean,  7:41 pm: Can we hang out?
Patton Hart, 7:41 pm: Sure! When and where?
Janus Dean, 7:42 pm: I know this awesome hidden park we could check out, I can pick you up, I’ll be there in 10.
Patton Hart, 7:42 pm: awesome!!! :D
Janus was going to lose Patton. There was no use of denying it.
That wasn’t going to stop him from taking every second he could get and treasuring it forever.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patton is sitting on the front steps of his house when Janus’ blank car swings around the block.
“Get in loser, we’re going shopping.” Janus deadpans
“Hello to you too snake boy,” Patton says, matching Janus’ monotone.
“Snake boy? Really? Is that the best you could come up with Golden Boy.”
“Takes one to know one Janus,” Patton says. Is he talking about what Janus said when Patton comes out? Janus hopes he’s not blushing.
“Touché, Patton,” Janus says, and Patton grins at him. Janus can’t stop staring at his lips.
Stop looking at him like that, you’re never going to be his anything.
Janus ignores his inner monologue.
Patton shuffles his playlist and Don’t Stop Believing comes on.
“Oh my god Patton, you are such a dad.” Janus groans, but Patton pretends not to hear him
“Don’t stop believing,” Patton sings, “Hold on to that feeling” Patton belts the last song and it’s so terrible, but it’s so Patton and Janus falls just a little bit harder.
Patton is giving him the look, the do what I say or I’ll be sad look. Janus sighs.
“Hold on to that feeling.” Janus sings, and Patton lets out a whoop, and Janus starts signing louder, “Street light people, waiting just to find emotion.”
“Living just to find emotion!” Patton shouts, and Janus belts right along with him.
Another song comes on, and then another, and suddenly Patton and Janus have screamed themselves hoarse singing 80s songs.
By the time they’ve gone through six songs, the sky is falling down, and Patton’s windshield wipers are swiping in overtime.
When they pull up to the park, it’s pouring. There are no cars in the parking lot and Janus can barely see five feet in front of him.
Patton frowns, “Aw man, it’s raining. I guess we’ll just have to come back later.”
Janus freezes. There is no later. It is literally now or never.
“No,” Janus says.
“No?” Patton says in surprise.
“It’s just water, it can’t stop us from having fun,” Janus says. This is it. If Patton says no Janus doesn’t know what he’ll do.
“Okay,” Patton says, giving Janus a mischievous smile.
Janus unbuckles his seat belt and gets out of the safety of the car in the pouring rain. Within the first three seconds of being outside, Janus is drenched from head to toe. He doesn’t notice.
“Hey,” Patton says. Just like Janus, Patton is soaked. His cardigan is leaking, and his glasses are foggy. His curls have fallen flat and raindrops hang on his bangs.
“Hi,” Janus replies, and this is so absurd. He’s standing outside alone with Patton Hart in an abandoned park in the rain, just before his life is about to fall apart.
Janus wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Dance with me,” Janus hears himself saying.
“I don’t know how to dance.”
“I’ll teach you.”
Janus walks over to Patton and says, “Ok so first I’m gonna put my arms around your shoulders like this,” Slowly, in case Patton wants to pull away Janus puts his arms on top of Patton’s shoulders.
“What’s next?” Patton asks.
“Put your arms on my waist,” Janus says. He can feel Patton hesitate and then tentatively wrap his arms around his middle. The feeling of Patton’s skin on his is electrifying.
Patton smiles, “Now what?”
“Now we just move,” Janus says simply and he follows Patton’s movements. For a beginner, Patton is a surprisingly good dancer.
The two dance under the stars to the melody of the rain.
Neither of them says anything, but Patton’s face is so close to his and his lips are even closer.
It takes all the willpower Janus has to not kiss Patton then and there.
“Hey, Patton?”
“Yeah, Janus?”
The butterflies in Janus’ stomach are more like raging pigeons.
“I’ve been meaning to tell you this for a while, but, I think now is the right time,” Janus takes a deep breath and Patton gives him an encouraging look.
“I like you. I really like you, Patton. I’ve liked you ever since you sat down at my table and started to talk about frogs. I thought it was just a friend thing, but it’s not. Because the truth is Patton, I want to be with you, all the time. I want to kiss you and I want to call you my boyfriend.” Patton is silent.
“If you don’t feel the same way, I totally get it. I’ll leave you alone. I won’t push it, I promise. I don’t want it to be weird I just want you to be ha-“
Janus is cut off by Patton grabbing his collar, and pulling him down to his level for a kiss.
Patton is kissing him. Patton is Kissing Him. Holy shit. This is better than anything Janus could have imagined. Patton’s lips are soft against his chapped ones. They’re warm despite the pouring rain. Patton wraps his arms around Janus’s neck to keep himself steady, and Janus brushes Patton’s bangs away from his eyes.
When Patton finally pulls away, there’s fire in his eyes.
“You absolute idiot,” Patton says, taking a second to breathe, “how could you think, even for a second, that I wouldn’t like you.”
Janus laughs and doesn’t stop looking at Patton, “I guess I’m just dumber than I thought.”
Patton nods vigorously in agreement, “understatement of the century, snake boy.”
Patton goes in for another kiss, and Janus doesn’t want this night to ever end.
Fuck Ethan.
Fuck the election.
Fuck other people.
Janus just wants to stay with Patton forever.
When he gets back from his date with Patton, Janus is so happy, all he wants to do is jump and scream with joy. He’s never felt more himself around another person. He feels so alive when he’s with Patton that he never wants to stop.
He drops his bag down on the floor of his bedroom and jumps on his bed. He’s smiling so hard it hurts but he doesn’t want to stop. He’s pretty sure he hasn’t used those muscles in years.
He grabs his phone, pops his earbuds in, and shuffles the playlist Patton made for him. He’ll never get over the small act of Patton making a playlist for him. He doesn’t think he’ll ever get over Patton. He loves the way Patton lights up when he talks about frogs. He adores how Patton keeps smiling day after day, he’s stronger than anyone will ever know. He loves the way Patton shoves his glasses up his nose when he’s nervous. He loves how when he talks Patton just listens and Janus somehow knows that Patton understands. He loves how good Patton is. He loves how he tastes like cinnamon and rainy days.  Being with Patton is like seeing this sun after years of being stuck underground, Janus will never get sick of his light.
After he finds the playlist he lays down and closes his eyes, and just listens to the music. He breathes in and out and it’s almost like Patton is right there next to him.
About 15 minutes later Janus’ phone buzzes, and he grabs it excitedly, hoping Patton is sending him a goodnight text.
His mood plummets when he sees who really texted him. Ethan. This can’t be good. Time has run out.
When the messages app opens there are two unread messages.
The first one is a link to an Instagram post made by Ethan. The second one reads “You can’t get rid of me that easy.”
When Janus clicked on the post, it was a list of screenshots. Texts between Ethan and Janus. Texts between Patton and Janus. Janus’ audio recordings. And they spilled everything
The whole school knew that Janus had got together Patton for political power. The whole school knew that Janus had tricked Patton. The whole school knew that Patton fell for it.
Fuck, the whole school knew Patton was gay. Janus let Patton get outed. Patton, who shared his secret with Janus, was now left to vultures known as teenagers. Patton, who was still figuring himself out, was forced out of the closet in the worst possible way. Patton who thought someone finally loved him for who he was and not what he could do, was just publicly used for political gain
He would never get to choose how to say it. He would never get to hug his friends when he invited them to their favorite diner and told them over milkshakes about who he was. He’ll never get to slowly start to wear rainbow pins on his pack packs. He would never get to walk into a GSA and see the happy surprise on everyone’s faces. He would never get to be ready.
And it was all Janus’ fault.
He has to call Patton, and he has to do it now.
When he dials Patton’s number it rings out. He dials again, the same thing. Again and again. Every time Patton doesn’t pick up Janus breaks more and more.
“Fuck!” He shouts, and his voice cracks. He can feel the tears start to come and his throat start to close up. He ruined the one good thing in his life. He should have seen this coming. His happiness was never meant to last.
His only consolation is that tomorrow is a Saturday, so he doesn’t have to put on a brave face so anyone. He won’t have to face Ethan in the halls. He won’t have to see the disgust and disappointment in Patton’s face.
That night, he cries himself to sleep.
————————————————
Janus spends the entire weekend locked in his room. He doesn’t have the energy to get out of bed. The loss of Patton is crushing him so hard he can barely breathe. He deletes his Instagram, and turns off messaging notifications. He listens to Patton’s playlist over and over and over again, just to feel like he’s with Patton again. It doesn’t work.
He doesn’t know how he can face school on Monday. He knows he won’t get in any trouble, the student body is so homophobic that they’d probably congratulate him. The school administrators will call it an out of school affair and turn their heads the other way. Janus might as well start saying he’s student body president now.
No, what he can’t handle is seeing Patton in the hallways, robbed of his beautiful smile. Seeing Patton avoid his gaze and stop waving to people in the halls. Watching all the terrible people at Sanders high go in for the kill. He can’t watch, knowing it’s all his fault.
The worst part is he will be congratulated for doing this. He will get his dream. Students will be proud of him, teachers will pretend they didn’t say anything, Ethan won’t get suspended. Patton could fall apart and no one would notice.
The world isn’t fair, Janus always knew Patton would have to learn that. He didn’t want Patton to learn it like this.
No one should.
——————
When Janus’ first alarm goes off on Monday morning he shuts it off instantly. The last thing he wants to do is get up. He does the same thing with the second one. He could fake a sick day, right? When the third alarm rolls around, he counts to three and forces himself to get up. No matter how bad he’s feeling, he cannot show weakness. Not now, and not ever.
He rolls out of bed and puts on clothes robotically. He’s barely aware of what he’s wearing, but it’s fine. Everything is fine.
He laces up his docs and throws his books in his backpack. He unplugs his phone then brushes his teeth. He grabs his bag and then heads downstairs.
He pours himself a mug of scalding black coffee. He downs it steaming hot. He likes the way the bitter liquid burns as it goes down his throat. Never let it be said that he couldn’t be edgy. He doesn’t have anything else for breakfast, and he can hear Patton chiding him in his head.
Janus shakes his head, puts his mug in the sink, and heads out the door.
When he gets to his car he pauses. He means to turn the key to ignite it. All he can think about is Friday night when Patton and Janus ran back to Janus’ car in the pouring pain and held hands while Janus drove him home. Patton kissed him goodbye.
Suddenly, Janus’ lips feel cold.
He takes a deep breath and turns the key. He can’t think about that. Not anymore. He has to stay strong because if he starts to cry, he’s not sure he’ll ever stop.
When he gets to school he parks his car in his spot. He keeps telling himself the same thing: Don't let anyone know you’re bothered, especially not Ethan.
He hesitates for a few seconds before walking in the school building. He will not let his fear control him. He can do this. He owes it to Patton.
In the halls, he can hear the students whispering about him. He hears his name and Patton’s name and he hears the word, queer. The students whisper the word gay like it’s a dirty secret they shouldn’t know. It makes Janus’ blood boil but he has to keep walking.
He keeps looking for Patton in the halls, but he can’t find him anywhere. Patton always gets to school early to say hi to everyone. He’s at school every morning at 7:50 by his locker. Why isn’t he there?
Because you used him for selfish reasons and let him get outed, idiot, he thinks.
For the rest of the day, Janus’ classes go in one ear and out the other. It’s a Monday so he doesn’t have any classes with Patton, but he still can’t pay attention. He can feel the states of other students during class and it is unbearable. Patton made school enjoyable and now that he’s gone it’s a nightmare.
During lunch, his food tastes like cardboard and he sits alone. He doesn’t know where Patton is but he’s not at their-his table. He forces the sandwich down and opts to hide in the library for the rest of lunch.
At the end of the day Janus instinctively starts walking to his car in the parking lot. It’s in the fifth row. When he gets to the third bow he stops walking. Patton’s car is in the third row. He can deny it all he wants but Janus knows that if he doesn’t talk to Patton now he never will.
He can’t let Patton go, not now, not ever.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Before Patton sees him, Janus can already tell he's been crying. His eyes are red and puffy and he won’t stop rubbing at him.
He’s about to get in his car when Janus shouts, “Patton wait!”
Patton whips around, and when his eyes meet Janus’, Janus resists the urge to take a step back. The pain in Patton’s brown eyes is overwhelming.
“What do you want, Janus?” Patton snaps. His voice is hard and cold, so unlike the typical warmth, Patton brings to every conversation.
Janus avoids Patton’s eyes, “I wanted to apologize, I never meant to hurt you and,” Janus looks for the right words, but nothing seems to work, “I’m so so sorry.”
“You dated me to help you win an election, Janus, how did you not mean to hurt me? The whole idea was to hurt me!” Patton says. He’s shaking.
Janus can’t think of anything to say, so Patton just keeps going.
“I finally thought I found someone who wanted me for who I am! No! Everyone just wants me for what I can give them, popularity, friendship, support, and I thought you were different! I opened myself up to you and you spilled my secrets to the world!”
Janus closes his eyes. “Patton…” He whispers, and he reaches out for Patton’s hand.
Patton jerks back violently as if he has just been burned. “I don’t have anything to say to you.” Patton’s fists are clenched at his side and Janus wonders if he’s going to start swinging them.
He’d deserve it, but Janus just won’t stop pushing. He loves Patton too much to let go.
“Patton please.” Janus says. He has never been a beggar but he is willing to fall down at Patton’s feet just to see that warm smile directed at him one more time. He would walk through hell and hack just to make Patton happy again.
“You know what Janus? I could forgive the whole, I played with your emotions to win a dumb high school election thing.” Patton says, “I could forgive how I gave you my heart and you crushed it beneath your heel. But you didn’t just leave it at that. No, you had to publicly humiliate me. You let your friend Ethan out me. I don’t care if it was for an election, you don’t just get to do that Janus!” Patton is screaming at him now, “You don’t get to decide that. I’m supposed to be the one who decides where, and when, and who knows, and how I get to say it, that’s supposed to be my thing! And you took that away from me.”
Patton’s explosive anger is hardening into something cooler, harder, and more dangerous.
“So would you please just get the fuck away from me!”
That’s when it really hits Janus how badly he fucked up. Patton never curses. Patton doesn’t even say darn. If Patton was angry enough to use a curse word, the world should be terrified. It’s more unlikely for Patton to curse than for him to hit someone
Janus wishes Patton had hit him, because it would hurt so much less.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two weeks later Janus, Patton, and the entire school are in the auditorium waiting to hear the election results. All of Janus' months of work have led up to this moment. The name on the slip of paper the principal is holding will tell him if it was all for nothing.
Students are chattering to each other but Janus tunes it all out, because for the first time in two weeks, Patton is sitting next to him.
Granted, it’s not by choice, the two candidates have to sit together in the first row, but Janus will take anything he can get.
“Alright everybody, Settle down, settle down.” The principal's deep voice echoes through the auditorium. When he’s satisfied with the noise level, he continues, “Both of our candidates have worked tirelessly these past months to present themselves as student body presidents worthy of you, and happy to say that both of them have done a phenomenal job. However, there can only be one winner of this race so without further ado, your new student body president is,” He pauses for dramatic effect.
“Janus Dean.”
Janus waits for the rush. He waits for the happy feeling to inundate him. He has won, everything in these past few months has been worth it. He beat Patton. He showed up Ethan. He showed this entire school that he is worth something, and that he will be someone.
So why doesn’t he feel good?
Janus puts on a smile, grabs the piece of paper with his victory speech written, and walks towards the podium.
When he gets there the lights are blinding, but he knows the entire student body is staring back at him. The only person Janus can see is Patton. Patton looks sad. Defeated. His smile doesn’t reach his eyes.
Janus picks up his speech to read. He’s supposed to talk about the support of the students, the support of the staff, how much this victory means to him, and how he promises to do his very best to fulfill their needs. He can’t start talking though. This isn’t right.
Then it finally hits him.
The thing he wants more than anything isn’t to win this dumb race, the thing he wants more than anything in the world is Patton. He wants to see Patton’s smile every morning. He wants to hear Patton call Janus his boyfriend. He wants to see Patton happy. He wants to have so many firsts with Patton. He wants to be able to kiss Patton whenever he wants. He wants to hold hands with Patton and call him obnoxious pet names.
He puts his speech down.
“Hey everyone.” He says, “First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their vote. It means the world to me that you would put that kind of trust in me.” Janus pauses, and stares Patton dead in the eyes, “However I’m afraid I’m going to have to decline the position.”
Whispers explode throughout the auditorium and the teachers are frozen in shock.
“I thought standing up here was the thing I wanted more than anything, but I was wrong. See, a few months ago, I was assigned to work on a history project with this guy. At the time I really hated him, he was so perfect. He was so good. Then he decided to run against me in this race and suddenly he became a problem I had to solve. Me and one of my friends decided it would be fun for me to pretend to date him, and then leak some of his secrets, showing everyone that he isn’t as perfect as he looked. It was the perfect plan. Or so I thought. I started spending more time with this guy, I tried so hard to hate him, but it was impossible. That’s how good he is. We became fast friends, and he made me better. I loved being around him, it was like waking up to a bright summer day. Loving him snuck him on me, but soon it was like breathing. I couldn’t keep collecting information on him, and so I told my friend it was over. Wrong move.” Janus took a deep breath, but he didn’t stop looking at Patton.
“He outed this guy to our entire school. I don’t know how many of you are part of the queer community, but being out is one of the worst things in the world. Everyone says it’s like ripping a bandaid off. It’s more than that. Being outed when you’re not ready is like someone stabbing a healing wound. It is so fucked up, and one of the worst things I could’ve let happen. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”
Patton is shaking; Janus keeps going.
“Even worse, I heard what people were saying in the halls. I heard the slurs and the whispers and the hate, and I kept walking. I thought it would be better to keep my head down and stay in my lane, so I wouldn’t get hurt. But the truth is if we don’t demand respect, it is going to get taken from us. LGBTQ+ teenagers face a suicide rate five times that of our straight peers. We are two times as likely to be bullied for being who we are, and it really shows. This applies to everyone including myself: Do better. I should have said something.”
“Your new student body president, Patton Hart, is overqualified for the job. He is caring and honest. He sees the best in everyone, including screw-ups like me. He’s hardworking and selfless. He’ll sit with you at lunch even if he doesn’t know you. He’ll compliment your clothes and help you with your homework. He has done all of these things even when he wasn’t your president. He is the heart of this school, and no one fits the role better than him.”
Janus turns back to Patton and gives him a small smile, “Patton, I am so sorry. For everything. I know this doesn’t make up for anything that I’ve put you through, but you deserve the world.”
Janus turns back to the audience, “Thank you for your time.”
Everything is silent. And then everyone flies out of their seats, and the sound is deafening.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Janus doesn’t see Patton for the rest of the day. It’s a Monday which means they don’t share any classes together. Janus doesn’t mind, he doesn’t even know if Patton wants to see him. He feels a little lighter, he isn’t drowning in the guilt anymore. It isn’t gone but it isn’t suffocating him anymore. Even if Patton never talks to him again, Janus will always know he did one good thing in his life, even if it’s infinitesimal compared to all the bad.
Around 6:30 that night Janus’ phone buzzes.
When he checks his phone, he has one text from Patton, and Janus forgets how to breathe.
Patton Hart, 6:31 pm: did you mean what you said.
Janus Lyre, 6:32 pm: every word.
Patton Hart, 6:32 pm: meet me by our park.
“Yes!” Janus cheers. Patton wants to see him. Janus is going to go see Patton. Janus is going to see Patton!
Every step he takes to his car feels like he’s walking on air. When he get into his car he plays the playlist Patton made for the first time in weeks.
The speed limit on the roads is 30, but if Janus goes at 35 no one has to know.
When he gets to the bench he and Patton have hung out at, Patton is already there.
He’s wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and the blue flannel Janus gave him for his birthday. Janus knows that’s intentional, and the urge to pull Patton into a kiss is so hard to resist. He could do it, there are no people around to get in their way.
“Hey snake boy,” Patton says.
“Hey, golden boy,” Janus says, and oh how he missed this. Patton and his messy hair are inches away from him.
“Can I…” Patton trails off, but he’s looking at Janus’ lips.
“Always.”
Patton and Janus crash into each other. Patton is kissing him and his lips are warm. He tastes like cinnamon. Janus wraps his arms around Patton’s shoulders and pulls him closer, this feels so right. Janus never wants to stop kissing Patton. He wants it to be his job, Janus Dean, professional kisser of Patton Hart. It has a nice ring to it.
“That was one heck of a speech Jan,” Patton says.
Janus smirks, “Only the best for our student body president.”
Patton giggles but then becomes more serious, “Thank you, I really appreciate it.”
“Only doing what’s right.”
“Still”
“You’re right Pat I did have an ulterior motive.”
“Oh?” Patton raises his eyebrows.
“I’ve always loved the sound of first lady,” Janus says seriously.
Patton pulls him in for another kiss, and Janus wonders if he’s dreaming.
“I love you.” Patton says, and his hair is frazzled and he’ out of breath but Janus is struck by just how beautiful Patton is.
“I love you too.”
Life isn’t a fairytale, Janus knows that, but this feels like his happy ever after.
a/n: thanks for reading!!!! yes, the scene where Patton yells at Janus is inspired by Love, Simon, and yes, you read that right, Solangelo did get a cameo

¡Vamos a España! - Chap 12
Chapter 12

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13819897/12/Vamos-a-Espa%C3%B1a
https://www.wattpad.com/1039154439-%C2%A1vamos-a-espa%C3%B1a-chapter-12
Alfida, Orm, and Gerda had arrived at the troll kingdom and on the outside of the corridor, they were waiting for their call to enter into the hall, where the thrones were located.
„Freya was okay with you going here you say?“ The raven-haired girl asked making Gerda nod.
„I just don‘t receive a payment for that day,“ Responded the blonde. „So far it‘s no issue. I‘ve been always present at the work, so if I miss a day or two, it‘s not bad,“
„Have you guys got at your kingdom actually got a daily sickness allowance?“ Orm questioned. „Queen Maribel suggested last year this idea and it got into effect this year,“
„No never heard of it,“ Gerda responded, then the door into the hall got opened back by a servant troll, which looked at the two human girls along with the troll Orm, then the servant looked at his sheet to check the list again.
„You‘re Gerda, Alfida and Orm?“ Questioned the troll earning a nod from the trio.
„You seriously don‘t remember Gerda, the one who took down the Fire-Demon last time?“ Questioned Orm surprised watching the servant shrug his shoulders.
„I apologize for my low knowledge. I assume the other Gerda had a last name,“
„Well I do,“ Gerda responded earning a nod from Alfida.
„What are last names?“ Orm asked following Gerda and Alfida into the hall.
„Well, a lot of families share a second name, which somehow tells other people, that you‘re a family. As my mom and dad got married my mom adopted my dad‘s last name, so people know they‘re family in a way,“
„Family names don‘t exist around us pirates. We just have first names or codenames and that‘s enough,“ Alfida added earning a nod from the troll, then the trio approached the king and queen, which sat on their throne looking together at one roll, then Gerda faked a cough to call the troll‘s attention.
„Hey,“ Gerda greeted making the two smile.
„Gerda, great to see you again!“ King Arrog announced getting up from his throne to give the girl his hand, instead of the girl taking it to shake, she embraced the tall troll surprising him, then he placed his arms around the girl.
„It‘s been so long. I‘m glad nothing bad happened to you after we failed to bring the rest of the magicians out of the mirrorlands,“ Commented Gerda. „You gotta tell us how you defeated the king with these powers you‘ve obtained,“ „Well, it turned out, that I turned into a powerful magician just as the Snow Queen once did. I‘m more able to fly, protect and serve people in need, which basically is what my heart always did before I knew about us being related with magicians,“ Gerda explained. „But I didn‘t come here for this. I came to aid Orm, cause somehow…….he was taking care of the triplets and on the day my boyfriend was boarding a zeppelin they managed to get in there unnoticed and left along with him leaving Orm and us worried unknowing what happened to them,“ Gerda explained shrieking Queen Maribel and shocking the king.
„Orm, how could you let that happen?!“ King Arrog asked sternly the thin troll, which felt a little intimidated by the troll from royalty.
„Yes I admit it, I should have listened to Gerda or Alfida. If I had kept my eye on them instead of believing the three would get into the ship of Alfida without an issue,“ Orm commented feeling bad about his deed.
„Do you at least have any idea, where this zeppelin went?“ Arrog asked while massaging his eyelids with his fingers.
„That‘s the only good thing about it for now. It went to Spain, where Rollan just went. They must have followed him as he had food with him,“ Gerda explained.
„Rollan….I‘ve heard this name once before, is it per coincidence the guy I‘m thinking about?“
„Yes, the one who almost destroyed your kingdom, but he assured everyone that he‘ has no memory of what he has done during that entire time,“ Gerda responded watching Arrog slap his forehead with his head.
„Oh lord,“
„I know you don‘t trust him as much as you do me or Orm, but I promise you, he‘s going to keep them well until the day we get them back home,“
„Alright,“ Arrog sighed. „Where exactly in Spain do they're on dwell?,“
„I know it‘s a place on the coast, it starts with an A…...Alcante? No, that‘s not right……,“ Gerda pondered, then her friend Alfida tried to remember the current cities she could call, which her mother had robbed in the past, and nudged the blonde on the shoulder.
„What about Alicante?“ Questioned Alfida. „That‘s on the coast“
„Yes that‘s the place,“ Gerda commented, then the king walked to a bookshelf that contained various books and took one out with the maps of the world and opened it to take a look at it, then Gerda got around the book along with Alfida, Orm and Queen Maribel.
„Here is it located,“ Alfida pointed out. „Around 700km away from France,“
„And we‘re how much? 10‘000 km?“ Questioned Gerda making Alfida shake her head.
„No, no, no, but at least 4000 or 5000, if we‘re counting from here,“ Alfida corrected earning a nod from Gerda, then noticed Orm raise his brows in curiosity.
„What is a boot doing here on the map?“ Questioned Orm making Gerda chuckle.
„That‘s Italy,“ Alfida pointed out.
„Looks…….strange,“ Orm commented.
„This makes me think on that comment Rollan made once about the Scandinavian peninsula, which nobody understood,“ Alfida pointed out chuckling making Gerda shrug her shoulders.
„Yet I still haven‘t understood it,“ Gerda pointed out, then got poked on the shoulder.
„Ask him and he‘ll answer it to you,“ The pirate girl commented with a wink, making Gerda shrug her shoulders estranged about that comment of her friend.
„Are you still planning into going to get my sons back?“ Asked the queen looking at the humans.
„We‘re going to get them back, Maribel. I promise,“ Gerda said grabbing the troll‘s hand to give her insurance.
„Thank you, Gerda,“
„Don‘t worry your majesty, tomorrow after we stop back at our home I and Orm will prepare the ship and head toward Spain,“ Mentioned the raven-haired girl, then Gerda lifted her head to glance at Alfida.
„Then wake me up, Im going with you,“ Gerda warned making Alfida wide her eyes.
„You don‘t have to come along. I and Orm can handle it on our own,“ Warned the pirate-descendant girl.
„I know you do, but it‘s always better to have more persons come along. If more of us come along we can find the triplets quicker,“ Gerda mentioned making Alfida cross her arms with a smirk.
„Let me guess…..is that an excuse to be able to see Rollan?“ Alfida asked making Gerda shake her head.
„It also counts a little, but mainly I‘d be a great help with my capacity of flying,“ Gerda announced stretching her arms and legs aside to transform into the dragon-themed superheroine, which made the royals drop their mouth.
„So this is what she meant with flying,“ King Arrog pointed out making Gerda smile and spread her wings wide to show them pridefully.
„Alright, alright. You‘re coming with us. After all, out of us all, they‘re most likely to listen to you, rather than me or Orm, eventually,“ Commented Alfida earning a nod from Orm
„They do listen to me, but sometimes…...they rather mind their own business,“ Commented the young troll making the humans laugh.
In the afternoon the guard academy attendants stood at the large parkour watching six students pass through it under the crowd‘s observation.
„As you can see some of the obstacles seem harder to come through than you think, when you don‘t think with your head,“ The teacher explained pointing at a climbing frame with three men crossing it under the right place while Rollan‘s friend Pastor and another man crossed the frame by walking stepping over each horizontal bar from the framework. „The goal of the parkour is for you to learn how to overcome those obstacles the fastest way possible. Sure out there it seems easier, but you don‘t know how smart the person is you‘re pursuing. He could have a terrible aim, but a great endurance and cunning reaction. Or worse, he‘s skilled in using it and made his way through the obstacles giving you a hard time in keeping up with. So far you‘re all far away to get started with this. As I mentioned yesterday, I will only let 6 to 8 of you run into this course, after a minute I‘ll let the next six follow afterward, and so on. The last 27 I order you to meet up with Juan and José, Group Delta, get in position,“ Ordered the teacher and Rollan moved forward along with three men, three teenagers, and the young woman Marina file up along the start line on the ground, which was made with a rope.
„I‘m surprised to be with you in the group. What do you think about this course? Manageable?“ Marina questioned looking at the old cartwheels spread in front of them a couple of meters away from them.
„Sure. I‘ve seen worse obstacles,“ Rollan responded watching the fastest member of the first group jump over the small hole filled with water to grab the rope, that hung above it on a tree, then he landed on the other side of the water hole and made his way towards a climbing wall. „I don‘t think others will have a problem,“ Rollan pointed out, then the third man ran into the moat and jumped to grab the rope and missed it, but landed at the edge of the water afterward the fourth man came along to use the rope and pushed the man away from the water and swung back and forth, then landed beside the man, which smiled at the other student‘s help.
„Maybe the small labyrinth will be a little tough,“ Marina commented earning a nod from Rollan.
„Yeah. Lieutenant Roberto said yesterday, that they would switch the walls of the labyrinth daily to give us a different route, remember?“ Rollan asked earning a nod from the girl.
„Yes he did,“ Marina commented, then looked around the group and noticed the teens around her age one brunette boy and a raven-haired boy waiting for the start, then the raven-haired boy looked at the girl and chuckle.
„Aren‘t you in the wrong address?“ Questioned the boy making the girl shake her head.
„No. Are you afraid to be outrun by a girl?“ Questioned Marina ironically, making the boy shake his head.
„Keep up your confidence. I don‘t think you‘re going to make it any farther, than this,“ The boy commented making Marina roll her eyes at the boy‘s comment, then Rollan noticed it and stepped aside to speak at the boy.
„Hey don‘t talk to her like that. She has the right to be here as any other of us,“ Rollan mentioned making Marina smile as he came to defend her. „She may look weak, but looks don‘t have to matter,“
„Hey dude, no one was talking to you…..“ The raven-haired boy commented, then widened his eyes as he was looking at Rollan. „Oh, dios mio. Ernesto, look who‘s here!“ The boy shouted getting the attention of the brunette boy behind him, which paid attention and recognized the taller boy in the red shirt.
„Rollan the loser is back!“ Ernesto, the brown-haired boy announced making his colleague laugh, making Marina furrow her eyebrow and Rollan widened his eyes at recognizing the two teens.
„We assumed you left Alicante because you finally noticed your presence around the city was worthless,“ Said the raven-haired boy. „And now you‘re here at the guard school hoping to become a legend like you always did before,“
„I‘m here so I can help my mama pay for her debts. This was the best chance I found and I‘m going to take it. Come on, Enrico, I don‘t know what was or is your problem, but let‘s just forget that and just behave like normal men,“ Rollan commented.
„You guys could really need a chat. Who knows, maybe you three will get along and be able to befriend each other,“ A third teenager added, then Enrico glared at the teenager, that mentioned that.
„I don‘t think this will work between us three,“ Ernesto mentioned earning a nod from Enrico.
„Yeah, he doesn‘t need our friendship. He‘s got his mama and all those heroes in the wallpapers of his bedroom. They‘re a better match for him,“ Enrico said, then the teacher used his shotgun to give out a warning at the groups.
„Andale! This isn‘t a break, this is now the training, andale!“ Shouted the teacher, earning the group‘s attention. The ones, which weren‘t involved in the argument departed first and ran over the wheels.
„See you at the finish line, loser,“ Enrico said departing behind his friend Ernesto, then Marina slapped Rollan on his back to order him to start and both ran toward the wheels and jumped with their feet from wheel to wheel. Rollan from the forced start was a little tensed and got distracted with the wheels and pressed on the end of one of the wheels, causing it to move up and get hit by the end of it between his legs.
„Ou!“ Rollan complained stepping back and holding his hands between them, then watched Marina climb over the ramp in front of the wheels and moving left to leave the ramp and head to an obstacle, which was an adjustable stick attached on two metal-made bars. Rollan moved on following the girl above the ramp and reached the upcoming obstacle and jumped over it.
„You‘re supposed to crawl under it. Imagine there was a wall and you only had to go under that,“ Roberto the teacher warned earning a nod from Rollan, then he looked further and shrieked as in front of him stood a large pile of bricks cemented together as a jump element and Rollan jumped on top of it and moved further approaching the wall, which was the end of the first checkpoint, then he moved back and went to the right side and ran in a slalom around staffs, that was dug into the ground. Rollan looked at the water jump in the middle of the course to see Enrico smirk at the older Spaniard, then jumped to grab the rope and Rollan shook his head to try to gain his focus.
„Come on. You can‘t just fail on this,“ Rollan told himself and went on the climbing frame and crossed it quickly, trying to catch up with Marina, which was on the climbing net, which was the next obstacle to Rollan.
As Rollan got onto the next obstacle he encountered Marina standing in front of a bow and Marina run through the bow and fell down on the ground and looked behind at the bow annoyed, which made Rollan curious at the situation.
„What was that?“ Rollan wondered coming to the end of the net and made his way to the bow to see a small rock attached to a rope swinging at the passage Rollan had to pass through. Rollan frowned and ran toward the long arc and jumped through the arc, getting hit on his arm, causing him to spin aside and land on his back.
„Ahahaha. You still want to come along with the others?“ Ernesto asked as he stood on the top of a climbing wall, then as his friend, Enrico reached the top he pointed at Rollan, causing his friend to laugh.
„Face it loser. You‘re never going to make it through this,“ Enrico commented making Rollan angry, then he got up and ran over the piles of stones, which stood there on the ground in various types of sizes, then Rollan got stuck with one of his feet between a large rock and a smaller one, then fell down on the stones making the boys laugh harder.
Marina which had managed to swing over the water jump noticed the boys laughing, then looked around for Rollan to encounter him trying to take his feet out from the stone, and as he managed to get it out his shoe remained back and he sighed making Marina get sad at his misfortune.
„Come on Rollan, just focus,“ Marina whispered, then watched Rollan move on and pass around a pole, which marked the second checkpoint and jumped over the water jump to catch the rope and swing at the end of it and got closer to the girl, which ran now along with him. „You need to ignore the others and focus on what you‘re doing,“ Marina warned watching Rollan jump at the wall to climb it up. „Are you listening to me?“ The brunette girl asked following the raven-haired the wall up.
„I‘m not a loser. I‘m better than what I was before,“ Rollan complained, then he slipped with his feet and landed on his back, making Marina flinch her teeth at his incident. „Maldiciön!“ Hissed Rollan making Marina hold her hand in front of her forehead and jumped down from above the wall and made her way to the labyrinth while looking back at Rollan, which tried to climb the wall again.

Scientists Have Managed Map Artificial Personalities To Human Beings!
My purpose of writing this article is to educate you about a crime that is happening in plain sight. Since our known history, we have been fooled to believe in aliens for the cause of unidentified flying objects, however, the truth is these flying machines are being developed by human beings and not by aliens as we believe. Unless you do a massive research, understanding this crime is not easy. You may not ignore these claims without doing a further research into these claims by yourself, since you, your loved ones, could become a victim for this technology at any time without you being aware of this. Therefore, though this could be a long article, I highly advise you to read the entire contents and share it to educate others too. For those who are still having doubts for the existence of UFO’s and for the existence of a highly advanced technology on Earth, you may watch the following video which has been uploaded to YouTube.
These flying machines have been roaming the Earth for such a long time, though most of us are still doubting the existence of such machines, following are reported cases throughout our history,
Reported UFO Cases During the Past 100 Years:
According to Monfort’s report, there have been 104,947 reported sightings over the past 100 years. Though there could be many misunderstandings here, we cannot simply deny everything due to the evidence that we see. Source: http://www.foxnews.com/science/2017/02/28/ufo-sightings-hit-all-time-high-report-says.html
Ancient UFO Sightings:
Prior to this study, just like many others, my general view was that flying machines could have been developed by US or some other government under their secret programs, however, by researching into the history and understanding that these flying machines have been observed by people throughout our past, completely changed my view.

http://www.dudeman.net/siriusly/ufo/art.html – Some paintings of UFO’s.
Further, this is not all there are so many abduction cases are being reported for such a long time now and we still don’t have a slightest idea for the actual cause of this abduction phenomenon, some believe abductions are truly happening and others still have doubts of such cases. By analysing these abduction cases, one could understand that these abductees are also facing a missing time and careful analysing of this missing time, one could see its similarity to the missing time that people with multiple personality disorder are facing.
Having said that, due to a research that I carried out recently helped me to understand that there must have been a highly sophisticated global society sometime back in the past and at some point Pharaoh’s has managed to keep this technology within themselves and continue to run an invisible rule on Earth and today we also see evidence of their descendants currently living in Switzerland and still influencing human lives with their phenomenally advanced technology which is hard to comprehend to a normal person without doing a massive research in this area.
For quite a long time now human beings have been thinking that voice hearing or Auditory Hallucinations are due to a mental illness, however, even though we see evidence of a technology behind this crime in front of our own eyes, we are blind to think of brain malfunctions for voice hearing and claiming it as a mental illness. A person with a common sense analyse the following cases, would understand the truth behind voice hearing or Auditory Hallucinations. Therefore, if a doctor or a psychiatric is claiming that voice hearing is a mental illness, we must seriously start questioning who really has a mental illness? And why they have such beliefs even after they seeing cases as below? Due to their poor research and without critically analysing what voice hearing experience is, human beings around the world are suffering today. 1). “Mine are very very realistic. So realistic they know where to find things when i don’t know where to look, who will win the superbowl twice before it happens and one of these times two weeks before it was played, can crack a joke using the time when i had no idea what time it was, and also told me i was schizophrenic in third grade many years before psychosis.”-  http://forum.schizophrenia.com/t/how-realistic-and-convincing-are-your-voices/11326/4
2). “The voices constantly told me they were never leaving, and that I’d have to learn to deal with it. They told me that our entire society is inside of a quantum computer, and that we are all just lab rats, being studied by their people. In particular, they told me that I was being “stress tested” to see how stress affected my memory. The voices constantly asked me questions about my memory and asked what medications I was taking, whenever I took pills. I could hear these voices clear as day, as if through a radio of some kind. On a few occasions, I actually saw people that correlated with the voices, faint visual hallucinations. Mind you, prior to all of this, I led a fairly normal life with no history of psychosis or mental disorders, except mild PTSD and ADD.” – http://hvn.forumatic.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=551
3). “if i needed to get somewhere i did not know the directions to…they would literally lead me there without me having looked at a map…just with them directing me…it is heady stuff…” – http://www.mentalhealthforum.net/forum/thread36344.html
4). “Actually, they can do any voice they want (man, woman, child, God, devil, British guy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Mexican, someone I know, etc.). It’s a skill they have that I’ve learned to appreciate, and I find incredibly entertaining.” – http://hvn.forumatic.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1203
5).“My voice gathers information from around the globe and gives me heads up months in advance for important events. Sometimes, it can be wrong in its deductions, but most of the time, my voice is right in its look-ahead exercises. He saw the Japanese tsunami of 2011 in his dream, 5 months in advance(this is dream manipulation). He reassured me that we were not in it. Thank God, it was true. I usually see the earthquakes and volcano eruptions.” http://www.hearing-voices.org/voices-visions/comment-page-2/
6).“”to put it mildly I became a complete vegatable for many weeks, it became hard to function at my job, anything…I called out of work allot and just lay in bed staring at the ceiling listening to this onlslaught of tormenting voices all day and night and the voices would constantly play mind games, they would claim to be demons and Satan one day, pissed off human spirits another day, once one of them claimed to be Jesus…they kept switching the story line they would constanlty harass me about my “sins” and literally try and psychologically break me down…it was a nightmare I find hard to put into words” – http://hearingvoicesafterspiritcommunication.blogspot.com/2017/08/voices-from-machines.html
“A crime that you ignore! Your mind is not the cause of these abnormal electrical activities in the Auditory Cortex, your hearing of voices is due to a satellite based brain stimulation only and these are clear evidence for the existence of this technology, though you still ignore”
This is not all, following section will help you to understand current myths of a mysterious human behaviour. They do hear voices too, but in a much complicated way, a closer examining this human behaviour will help you to understand that the actual cause of this mysterious behaviour is due to mapping of Artificial Personalities to human beings and our current assumptions are like an urban legion.
Multiple Personality Disorder Also Known As Dissociative Identity Disorder:
The definition of the illness:
http://www.minddisorders.com/Del-Fi/Dissociative-identity-disorder.html
“Previously known as multiple personality disorder or dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a condition in which a person has more than one distinct identity or personality state. At least two of these personalities repeatedly assert themselves to control the affected person’s behavior. Each personality state has a distinct name, past, identity, and self-image.”
Are They Faking?
Though still so many people are judging the existence of this strange human behaviour and assuming that these people could be faking, there are more than enough evidence to show that these people are not actually faking this. They have strange electrical activities in their brains whenever they switch personalities and this is not all, according to the following article,
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/can-people-have-multiple-personalities/
“practitioners claim that alters can be identified by objective characteristics, including distinct handwriting, voice patterns, eyeglass prescriptions and allergies. Proponents of the idea of multiple personalities have also performed controlled studies of biological differences among alters, revealing that they may differ in respiration rate, brain-wave patterns and skin conductance, the last being an accepted measure of arousal.”
We Are Still Not Aware That This Is A Crime:
The Causes:
http://www.minddisorders.com/Del-Fi/Dissociative-identity-disorder.html
An innate ability to dissociate easily
Repeated episodes of severe physical or sexual abuse in childhood
Lack of a supportive or comforting person to counteract abusive relative(s)
Influence of other relatives with dissociative symptoms or disorders
In some cases one could observe that there are over 200 plus personalities in 20th century, however, prior to 17th century we could observe only a double consciousness (showing two personalties) in MPD cases. In almost all cases scientist tend to believe that child abuse or trauma are the cause of MPD or dissociation, however, we must ask this question from ourselves, whether horrific child abuses or traumatic events never took place in the history? By referring to Bible we could understand the massive wars we had way back in the past, therefore, people (including children) must have gone through horrific traumatic events because of these bloody wars that we had throughout the history. People and children must have suffered in the most horrific way without having proper medication and surgeries. Therefore, why we don’t observe at least 5, 6 personalities in human beings prior to 17th century or even in ancient times? Therefore, a logical thinker will simply reject this explanation made by the scientists. It’s impossible for mind to split in such a way or the brain to create fragmented memories to show a huge number of unique, different personalities in human beings. This has never happened in ancient times and it has no logic in it. A logical thinker will understand that there must be an alternate answer for this and have an open mind to seek for the truth. As per the following article, death was at the centre of life in middle ages, therefore, why we failed to observe a high number of different personalities just like what we observe today?
“Death was at the centre of life in the Middle Ages in a way that might seem shocking to us today. With high rates of infant mortality, disease, famine, the constant presence of war, and the inability of medicine to deal with common injuries, death was a brutal part of most people’s everyday experience” – http://brewminate.com/death-and-the-afterlife-how-death-affected-the-living-in-the-middle-ages/
Some of you might also think that perhaps MPD/DID cases were not recorded back then. This assumption again is not logical cause cases like glass delusion and dancing mania are well recorded abnormal human experiences that has been recorded since 11th century,
Dancing mania – One of the most mysterious phenomenon which people experienced  – This is again due to this technology. According to these cases, what we can say is that there were abnormal precise electrical activities in motor areas which correspond to the dance. It wasn’t a genuine mental illness as we have been thinking.
Glass Delusion – Another well recorded mysterious delusion The First Double Consciousness or An Altered Mind State Showing Attributes of A Human (Mind) Personality Appeared in 1649:
First human like double consciousness or two different mind states, both showing human like attributes appeared in 1649 according to certain records, prior to this, demonic possessions, spirits were showing a double consciousness, a mental state of a normal human being(when they have their normal life) and a mental state showing attributes of a conceptual being that we call as demons(when they possessed). Careful observation and analysis will give us an insight into understanding the difference between human like double consciousness that we see in MPD(multiple personality disorder) cases and double consciousness that we see in spirits and demons. The question is, why we suddenly started seeing a person showing two completely different personalities and both personalities showing attributes of a human mind(not like the conceptual demonic personality or mind) in the 16th century? On top of this, people Never Observed a phenomenon called switching personalities prior to 16th century.
“Though we see double conscious cases or sometimes 200+ consciousness’s in people with MPD, the true consciousness has always been in an unconsciousness mind state and satellite based non-invasive brain stimulation is the cause of these strange human behaviours, these different personalities are only due to different artificial personalities taking control of our body thus giving us a false idea that a fragmented personality is taking control of our body or concepts such as dissociation to avoid experiencing painful experiences. Further, experiences of these alters will be recorded in highly sophisticated computers only. Humans have managed to replace human consciousness with an artificial consciousness and use satellites to stimulate our brain and control human body by putting human consciousness into an unconscious state of mind. Therefore, true person is stuck in a human body whilst the stimulation is taking place or while an alter is under the control of human body. This is why we see symptoms of dissociation and traumatic events are not the cause of this”
What Can We Observe In Multiple Personality Disorder (or DID):
1). Today we see that this altered state of mind reflect a personality of a human being, this could be a child, male or female or any gender (some cases we see animal personalities too) with a set of unique characteristics or abilities. However, this was not there in the past prior to 16th century, where an altered personality showing complex human like attributes that is also able to switch or suddenly change to a totally different personality and then living a life with this new personality for such a long period of time in this altered state of mind. Though in the bible we could see cases such as below, this is not the multiple personality that we see today and understanding the difference between these two is crucial to understand the truth of this technological crime.
1 Samuel 19:24:
“Saul had followed the messengers to Naioth. ‘And he also stripped off his clothes and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night …”
What we observe today is an advanced condition with complex human like behaviours, switching back and forth between personalities and stay a long period of time (months and years) once they switch a personality, this is not what we can observe prior to 16th century. When we carefully analyse the history prior to 16th century or ancient times, what we can observe is that, demonic possessions, spirits, sleepwalking (somnambulism), witchcraft, exorcism etc., are showing an altered state of mind, however, this is quite different to today’s multiple personality disorder (or DID). If we think in terms of dissociation, today’s dissociation that we see is highly complex than to ancient times. We can consider these cases as double conscious cases, however, the first human like double consciousness appeared in 1649, which was mentioned by Paracelsus. Though demonic possessions and MPD cases, showing an altered state of mind there’s a huge difference between these two altered mind states.
What Can We Find by Analysing These Two Cases?
A Case Study:
http://www.gjpsy.uni-goettingen.de/gjp-article-gupta-a-multiple.pdf
“A 14 years old girl presented at our institute with complaint of ‘behaving like a male’ for past 2 weeks. She was identifying herself as Mr. S. and dressed herself like a male. She was not recognizing her neighbours, relatives, teachers anymore and her belongings as well. She was not able to recount her personal information too. Her mother also reported a significant and contrasting change in her behaviour, like she had become stubborn, confident, outgoing and demanding during this period in contrast to her earlier behaviour. She developed interest in drawing and painting, would demand different types of fast food items, dresses, and articles in the altered state. Her mother fearing worsening of her illness readily fulfilled these demands. Patient had stopped going to school and would stay at home all day long”
“The truth is, this altered behaviour is due to a non-invasive brain stimulation through satellites, a secret technology that we never knew. This girl’s true mind is in an unconscious mind state”
Let’s try to understand the characteristics of this altered personality, who is known as Mr. S,
1). A male personality
2). Stubborn
3). Confident
4). Outgoing
5). Demanding
These are just few attributes that define the personality of Mr. S. Now if we try to understand the attributes that define personalities of human beings, we see complex attributes, which we cannot find in demonic possessions. Let’s list down some of the other personality traits that we can observe in human beings that define us. Following is a good list of personality traits that we can find in MIT site,
http://ideonomy.mit.edu/essays/traits.html
1). Courages
2). Cultured
3). Disciplined
4). Fun-Loving
5). Hard working
6). Leaderly
7). Organized
8). Passionate
9). Patient
10). Realistic
11). Sociable
12). Familia
13). Mannered
14). Money-minded
Today we could find personalities that reflect these complex human behaviours in (MPD) alters. However, following are some of the observations made by me,
1). In ancient times, we have never seen an altered state of mind or an additional personality in a person, where the behaviour of this new personality showing human like characteristics or attributes that are similar to the above list.
2). In ancient times, we have never seen cases where people without a control switching personalities back and forth such as in MPD cases and showing two different mind states with human like characteristics. A conceptual demon could posses a person again and again, however, here we are referring to a human like mind state or characteristics only, which is totally different compare to a conceptual demon. This conceptual demon’s personality is totally different to a normal human personality, therefore, what we see today is a totally different type of dissociation.
3). Since we haven’t seen an altered state of mind with a human like personality, people never claim that voices are having discussions in their heads and then sometimes they take control of their body.
“Which means, our mind has never split or fragmented in ancient times in the way some scientists are thinking of MPD (DID) cases, as you can see these are some of the primary symptoms of identifying MPD cases, however we have never seen these symptoms in ancient times or in other words, we have never seen people changing their personalities or any kind of back and forth switching in this way and living a long period of time with a new personality.”
An Evolution – From a Mind State Showing Attributes of a Conceptual Demonic Personality to a Human Personality.
Therefore, what we see here is an evolution, an evolution from a simple personality, such as a demonic personality, to a complex personality such as a personality of a human being, which is capable of changing or switching and then living with that altered state of mind by showing human like characteristics or attributes for a long period of time. The attributes, which define these two mind states are totally different. When we analyse the mind state of a MPD case today, we can observe complex characteristics or attributes that is similar to a mind state of a human being, however, these complex attributes are not visible in a demonic mind state. In other words we could say that while a conceptual demonic mind state showing primitive behaviours, an altered personality in MPD cases are capable of showing complex behaviours. Therefore, the double consciousness that we saw in ancient times, started changing in a much more sophisticated way and started showing different complex attributes somewhere during the period of 12th to 17th century. This is why we take Paracelsus case as the first MPD(DID) case as it was showing characteristics of a human like mind state. Therefore, one must understand that this is a evolution of a software only. In the very start, an AI (artificial intelligence) being developed to replace human consciousness that is also capable of stimulating our brains to show some primitive behaviours by controlling our body, this is what demonic possession is and then later stages they have achieved such an advancement where they were able to show complex human behaviours by stimulating human brains. These AI’s (artificial intelligent) are being programmed to put human mind into an unconscious state of mind and to use our body to reflect the artificial personality or mapped personality. AI does a real-time scanning of the victim’s brain to decode (this is including the electrical activities which arise through our 5 senses) the electrical activities of the brain and use this information to interact with the environment. Just like a driverless car, a car, instead of a conscious human being making decisions, a software use it’s sensors to make decisions and to manoeuvre the car. Similarly, in MPD cases or demonic possessions, human mind has been replaced by a sophisticated software (an artificial personality) and it stimulate our brain (through satellites) to manoeuvre our body, to reflect it’s personality through us and to interact with the environment while the mind of the real person still living in an unconscious state of mind in the body. This is an unimaginably advanced technology, hard to comprehend for a normal person since we are not exposed to such advanced technologies. Having said that one would understand this with lots of research into this area. All the memories with regard to these altered personalities are stored in sophisticated computers only. This is why the main personality or the victim showing gaps in their memory. Since they have never consciously observed the world or interacted. We can see this missing times in alien abduction cases too. Cause they go under the same process when they get abducted. Abduction cases are real. They are not faking.
“When our technology becomes more and more advanced, we should be able to find sophisticated ways of scanning our brains and also we should be able to find sophisticated methods to stimulate our brains. Such scanners could be used to understand every electrical activity of our brains, which can be used to decode a personality of a human being. This decoded personality could be mapped to another person by putting the victim to an unconscious state of mind and then stimulating the victims brain with sophisticated brain stimulation methods. This way, we will be able to map any number of personalities to a person”
Evidence for this claim could be found here. Due to our ignorance only we think of an abnormal splitting of our mind.
” While admitting that the number of identities might range from two to more than 100, the manual noted that half of all cases involve individuals with 10 or fewer alternate identities. Yet, reports of patients with hundreds of separate alter personalities became routine. For example, Dr. Richard P. Kluft, a psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of MPD at the University of Pennsylvania, reported in a 1988 paper that one of his patients had over 4000 “alters”. – http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-mendelson-md/the-primary-causes-of-mul_b_812919.html
The question is, why we didn’t see such cases or at least 10 alters in ancient times while today in some cases we see 4000 alters? Humans will have to start thinking out of the box to understand this crime. Human beings are suffering due to this hidden technology but sadly we are neglecting to at least see the possibility of such a technology behind these cases.
Demons are Nothing More Than Artificial Personalities Being Mapped to Human Beings:
Throughout the history we have been talking about demonic possessions, however, according this research, I understood that these cases are nothing more than a software personality (an AI) taking control of our body. A demonic personality, an AI has been developed to show a simple personality compare to an artificial human like personality that we see in MPD cases, which reflect human characteristics or complex human behaviours. In both cases, a demonic or MPD cases, our true mind is in a dream or a trance like mind state, depend on the assigned artificial personality (demonic or human) a continuous real-time brain stimulation will take place to reflect the particular personality type through a human body and at the same time it keeps on decoding all the electrical activities of our brain which will be used by the AI to interact with the environment.
Is It Possible For Such A Conceptual Demon To Control Our Body?
Following is a good example of how much complex decisions are taking place when we reaching out to do a simple task such as picking up a glass of water,
http://brainconnection.brainhq.com/2013/03/05/the-anatomy-of-movement/
“Almost all of behavior involves motor function, from talking to gesturing to walking. But even a simple movement like reaching out to pick up a glass of water can be a complex motor task to study. Not only does your brain have to figure out which muscles to contract and in which order to steer your hand to the glass, it also has to estimate the force needed to pick up the glass. Other factors, like how much water is in the glass and what material the glass is made from, also influence the brains calculations. Not surprisingly, there are many anatomical regions which are involved in motor function.”
If such a conceptual demon try to move our limbs, this conceptual demon must understand which precise areas of our brain to stimulate so it will send signals to our limbs and other relevant areas to do a precise movement and here if we do a quantitative EEG testing we will also find precise electrical properties such as frequencies, amplitudes, voltages etc.. in these brain stimulations done by these conceptual demons. The conceptual demon must understand the Somatotopic (a point-to-point connection to different body areas or regions) arrangement of the motor cortex, for it to achieve the desired movement of the possessed body. One could also understand what kind of complex processes are taking place when we speak by following the below link. A conceptual demon must go through the same process to control our speech.
“Speech production is one of the most complex and rapid motor behaviors and involves a precise coordination of over 100 laryngeal, orofacial and respiratory muscles. Yet, we lack a complete understanding of laryngeal motor cortical control during production of speech and other voluntary laryngeal behaviours”- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3077440/
Therefore, our understanding of such a being taking control of our body are nothing more than a pure myth. Following is a story from the Bible, here we see a demonic being able to get out of a human body and then able to stimulate brains of pigs and making them to run,
“28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes,[a] two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” 30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” 32 He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33 Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.” – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+8:28-33
To make this happen, this so called demonic being must understand not only our brain structure and how our brain works, the brain structure of pigs too, it must know exactly which areas should be stimulated, it should know motor areas of the pigs and it should consciously stimulate right areas of pig’s brain for it to move the body of the pigs to it’s desired location. If such a conceptual being is able to consciously control or handle this highly sophisticated process and capable of stimulating brains of humans and animals, then we must consider this demon as a God, cause a normal being will never be able to achieve such a thing. If such a conceptual demon has ever managed to achieve such a thing, then it should show intelligence than what we observe today. Human intelligence is far more superior than to a conceptual demon. Due to this only we humans managed achieve the life that we are having today, which we cannot see in the animal world either. Therefore, our actual observation of it’s intelligence when such a possession taking place, contradicts with our understanding of it’s capabilities. However, this demon, never forget to surprise us by showing it’s abnormal knowledge such as who Jesus is or where your lost item could be found. These are nothing more than false understanding that we had for such a long time. The cause of all these abnormal cases is due to this hidden technology only. This technology has been evolving since a time where we had a golden age way back in the past and Egyptian Empire has managed to keep this secret without leaking to any other race around the world and today we see evidence for this technology to be operating from Switzerland in the most secretive way.
Further Clues for This Evolution:
Some consider Paracelsus described the first case of MPD in 1646. Looking into the future from this year, this is what we can observe:
1). Since the 19th century the number of identities has gone from 2 or 3 to greater than 20, sometimes reaching 100.
2). There were 200 reported cases of DID as of 1980, and 20,000 from 1980 to 1990.
3). Joan Acocella reports that 40,000 cases were diagnosed from 1985 to 1995.
4). When MPD was first recognised convulsions was one of the major symptoms but now it is not. This will be another important point to understand the claims of this article. We have observed convulsions as a primary symptom in MPD(DID) cases in the past. We must question why these convulsions was there in the past and then for it’s sudden disappearance? This research helped me to understand that people happened to observe these convulsions due to their initial attempts in creating a human like personality or this induce mental state in MPD victims, however, overtime they have mastered this technology, therefore, in later stages people didn’t observe convulsions in MPD cases.
Source: http://www.personalityresearch.org/papers/cherry2.html
To understand what kind of convulsions a person would face due to an improper external stimulation of the brain, you may refer to the below link:
How Brain Structure Links to Individual Personality:
“Linking how brain structure is related to basic personality traits is a crucial step to improving our understanding of the link between the brain morphology and particular mood, cognitive, or behavioural disorders – Luca Passamonti” – http://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/personality-traits-linked-to-differences-in-brain-structure
Observations from brain scans show clear evidence of how our brain structure affects our individual personality, which means it would be impossible to show totally different personalities such as 200 + personalities in some cases and then switch between these different personalities by having the same brain structure unless these people are faking it. We see distinct changes in the brain waves when an alter is taking control of the body, which means people are not faking these behaviours. Therefore, since the behaviour is true and since this behaviour arises suddenly by having the same brain structure, this cannot be a natural cause, since according to studies, there are different brain structures in different personalities. Which means, this must be an induced condition. Further, recent brain studies give us clues on how we could eradicate certain phobias in people by distroying certain neurons in the brain or by erasing certain memories. Which means these neurons define our personalities. If neural networks define our personality, how come it’s even possible to show a different personality by having the same neural networks? There can’t be a sudden abnormal creation and destruction of neurons when a personality changes. Therefore, it would be impossible to show this abnormal altered state of mind. Which means, current assumption of how MPD works clearly contradicts with new scientific findings of our brain and on top of this, claims such as child abuse or traumatic events to be the cause, are nothing more than pure myths.
“This hidden technology put our mind to an unconsciousness state of mind and have a total control of our body by using a global satellite grid. Except the main personality, all the other personalities are artificial personalities controlling our body. There will be certain triggers, which will do the automatic switching. Then what happens at the stage of integration is that they simply stop the brain stimulation and make people to believe that the reason is due to the agreement of all the alters. These are false beliefs only. It’s all about the way these artificial personalities are being programmed.”
According to my observation, a person having MPD will go to a dream like (or unconsciousness) mind state when they switch their real personality to any other personality, therefore, MPD’s are not consciously thinking and moving their body (main personality will not have a memory of taking any actions) or having any kind of perceptions such as auditory, visual, olfactory etc. Since their not consciously experiencing the world, they are not aware of their work once they switch their personality. Though other individual personalities or alters showing signs of a memory of their work or past experience, this information is stored in highly advanced computers only once an AI personality (Artificial Personality) takes the control of the body. Now to make sense of this behaviour, scientists and doctors are thinking that our mind is using some type of fragmented memories that is stored in our brain, however, as we explained earlier, this kind of a mind or brain splitting (a splitting showing a secondary human personality) or fragmented memories is something that we did not observe in ancient times. We started seeing a mind state showing human like attributes (a second personality) somewhere after 16th century only, if this indeed a natural cause, it would have taken millions of years to show such an abnormal phenomenon of our mind and this kind of a phenomenon should not occur overnight or within few centuries and then within a couple of centuries to show 4000 personalities will be simply impossible. Therefore, these abnormal phenomena’s are due to an advanced technology only, this sophisticated technology put our mind into a trance/dream like mind state and doing a complex real-time brain stimulation to various parts of our brain to show a human like personality through a human body, whilst decoding the electrical activities of our brain at the same time to make decisions or interact with the environment. As long as the altered personality controlling the victim, the victim lives in an unconscious state of mind. We see different personalities in these victims, due to mappings of different AI personalities only. This has nothing to do with traumatic events a person has ever faced or childhood abuses either.
Alien Encounters And How It Relates to Mental Illnesses:
1). There are cases of people having visions. Which means this technology has a capability to do a direct brain stimulation for us to perceive visions. Though we have been thinking that these alleged beings are stimulating human brains by themselves, this brain stimulation has been done by this hidden global satellite grid. The cause of visual hallucinations of human beings are due to this technology.
2). They are capable of paralysing our body parts and also putting us to an unconsciousness state of mind. Which means, this technology is capable of stimulating the brain and suppressing normal electrical activities of the brain. This I explained in miracles of Jesus. This is similar to that.
http://hauntedauckland.com/site/paralysis-ufo-phenomenon/
The Truth Behind Miracles of Jesus Christ.
3). Aliens are speaking in English language. Again, a direct brain stimulation. Such an alien has never learnt the English language, these are human beings.
http://www.openminds.tv/alabama-witness-recalls-alien-abduction-during-ufo-event/38463
““When I came too, I tried to tell my boyfriend there was a UFO outside and he needed to come see it. I heard a voice in my head say, ‘No, we can’t let you do that’ and then I blacked out again. It’s been a few weeks now,and while there were never weird marks left on me, I do suddenly have two moles where the aliens cut into my leg. Which is doing much better. I don’t need to walk with a cane anymore. If I keep improving, I might even be able to walk normally within a year. I only believed in UFOs after seeing them with my own eyes. Now I’m convinced they’re not just a light in the sky.”
This extremely advanced technology can stimulate human brains and let us perceive words in our own language just like a local person speaking to us. It can imitate anyones voice too. Following is an experience of a schizophrenic,
http://hvn.forumatic.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1203
“I am now happy to say that I still do hear voices, yes… and we get along great (and will forever continue to do so). My voices really helped me to become a better, stronger person, and sometimes they still do the devil voice when they are in a joking mood. Actually, they can do any voice they want (man, woman, child, God, devil, British guy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Mexican, someone I know, etc.). It’s a skill they have that I’ve learned to appreciate, and I find incredibly entertaining.”
4). There are reported cases of telepathic communications. Which means, this technology is capable of scanning our brain to do thought identification and it has a capacity to induce thoughts too. Didn’t we see in Victor Race’s case? His experience was: “he seemed to be able to read Puységur’s thoughts and was apparently able to diagnose his own illness and those of other people”. We also see schizophrenics claiming about foreign thoughts in their heads. Following is an example,
https://kintsugi.seebs.net/threads/a-general-ask-support-thread-for-people-living-with-schizophrenia-or-schizoaffective-disorder.3855/
“So sometimes I hear voices or I think people are implanting thoughts into my head and I was wondering if anyone else experiences that? Or if anyone here knows how to cope when it happens? Because like I’ll be hanging out with a friend and all of a sudden I have nasty degrading thoughts about my friend and it’s horrible and I know they aren’t MY thoughts, I wouldn’t think that, but they’re in my head and I sometimes can’t tell if it’s just the voices or thoughts being planted in my head, but it’s annoying and I don’t like the voices/thoughts saying mean things about my friends :(“
5). There are reported cases of abnormal dreams. Which means, this technology is capable of inducing or manipulating our dreams. So many people who call themselves as targeted individuals are reporting this. Though most of them are believing their own governments, neighbours, universities, private organisations or even secret gangs are behind their harassment, these are false understandings that they are having their being tortured and experimented by these evil people who hold this technology. As explained this technology is currently operating from Switzerland rather any other government. Most of the time this is a AI controlled torture program and this highly deceptive program is being developed in way, where it fools people to believe in wrong parties behind their harassment/torture.
Targeted Individuals – People Are Being Tortured in Plain Sight!
A Testimony of a person. Though no one understand their experiences, my research helped me to understand that these experiences are true. Even their bodies are being controlled through a hidden satellite grid. And this is a global satellite grid, this is why we see these cases from around the world. In fact this technology is capable precisely controlling your hand, legs or even your entire body and also can map an AI to your body by putting you in an unconscious state of mind or while you are fully conscious too, where you have no control over your own body:
https://bioethicsarchive.georgetown.edu/pcsbi/node/225.html
‘”MS. BRIGGS:  My name is Anya Briggs and I am a private citizen and resident of New York City. I have been and continue to be experimented on against my will and without my permission as a human test subject and as a targeted individual forced into trauma based mind control programs.
Because of this ongoing experimentation, torture and abuse, since 2008 and before, I have endured the following physical and psychological symptoms: extreme debilitating and chronic fatigue, weakness and dizziness for days and weeks at a time; lack of motor control as well as the sensation of being physically controlled by an unseen force.
My left arm occasionally experiences pain and discomfort from an object of unknown origin moving under my skin and being activated somehow. I have an unusual dental filling of unknown origin on the side of one of my back upper right teeth and no memory of having this procedure done.
And I have X-ray printouts and a signed affidavit from my dentist stating this. Said dental filling causes me sharp pain, discomfort and sensitivity.I have experienced extreme itching, burning and pain in my right leg that turned into an intense bright pink and then disappeared completely after several minutes. And I have photographs of this happening in real time.I have a stretched uterus, and yet I have never consciously and to my knowledge been pregnant. I have had equidistant sores that have appeared on both of my sub-scapularus muscles at the same time.”
Other Testimonials:
6). Reported cases of Levitation. Which means, this technology is capable of levitating objects. We have heard so many stories of levitation throughout our history including demonic possession cases. This will give us an insight into how Jesus managed to walk on the water or how God made it possible for him to walk on the water. Since people have seen UFO’s in ancient times and since evidence show that this technology is capable of understanding our thoughts and stimulate our brains directly, it’s logical to think that this is the same technology that has been used to speak Jesus, Allah and other prophets too.
Having said that, this technology is currently operating from Switzerland and only a handful of people of Swiss (members of this group) are aware of this. Please check my other articles to understand this crime, I have argued extensively to understand why humans are facing abnormal electrical activities of their brains, this is including automatic writing, demonic possessions, voice hearing, thought broadcast delusion, dancing mania etc… There must have been a golden age way back in the past and our history is being suppressed by these evil people and today they are working on a civilisation reset with a third world war. Though we have been thinking stories such as Mahabaratha (an Indian story) are fictional stories, my research helped me to understand that these are not myths or fictional stories at all. It seems to be that these actual events has been manipulated to fool human beings. One could go to the following links to understand the story of Mahabharatha and it clearly mentions a highly advanced society,

Trying Too Hard (Part 3)
Tumblr media
Summary: Realizing that the Avengers won’t let you go so easily, you try to adjust to life in the tower. Things don’t really go as planned.
Warnings: swearing
Ship: will eventually be bucky x reader
italics = flashback
“I really don’t want to do this.” You admit, looking up at Steve.
After finding your way to the training rooms, (which took awhile because Jarvis didn’t help you until you took a third wrong turn), Steve announced that you’d train with Bucky. First, everyone wanted to see if Hydra had actually improved the technology inside of your arm. Sam suggested that you arm wrestle and everyone agreed.
“Why? It won’t hurt anything.” Steve shrugs, and then he smirks. “Besides, based on what I saw at the Hydra base, I’m pretty sure you’ll win.”
Giving him a small, 91% fake smile back, you turn to face Bucky. He was already sitting at the table you’d arm wrestle at. It hurt to look at him. He was a reminder of Hydra to you, and a reminder that you were just a second, a copy of the original version. Even Hydra never truly cared about you. Of course, you also felt bad for what you did to him at the compound. As you approached the table, he looked up at you and gave you a half smile.
“Hi.” You greeted, sitting down across from him. “Look, I’m really sorry about what happened... It’s not your fault that I’m like this.”
“It’s alright, I bet seeing the person that you were meant to recreate isn’t the best feeling in the world.” He looks surprised by your words, probably because this is the first time you’ve ever actually talked.
Before an awkward silence could settle over the two of you, everyone walked over to the table. You looked around at the Avengers, who you now knew as Steve, Wanda, Sam, Natasha, and Clint. You’d also heard about Bruce Banner and Thor, but no one knew where they were.
“Alright,” Sam, who insisted on being the referee, leaned on the table and glanced between us. “contestants are you ready?”
Bucky grinned and rolled his eyes at Sam, placing his elbow on the table and holding out his hand for you to take. You did the same and grasped his hand tightly in your own. It was strange, knowing that you were holding something but barely even being able to feel anything other than pressure. You imagined it was the same way for him.
“Ready...go!” Sam announced, slicing his hand through the air in a starting gesture.
Immediately you felt Bucky trying to force your arm down, but you had more than enough strength to keep both of your arms vertical. For a moment you didn’t know if you’d have enough power to actually force his arm down. You heard Bucky grunt while your arm changed gears, and you saw your arm pushing his down. Vaguely, you could hear Sam commentating in the background. You heard Bucky’s arm trying to power up even more but it was no use, with a final push his hand smacked against the table.
“Damn, girl!” Sam laughed, patting you on the back.
You felt yourself actually smile a bit at how dramatic Sam was being. A surge of confidence overcame you. Even though Bucky was the original copy, you were the new and improved.
“It’s okay, Bucky.” You tease. “I’m sure we can get you an upgrade.”
As soon as you said it, the smile fell from your face. You weren’t sure if Bucky would be able to tell that you were just messing with him. Why did you even get so comfortable around everyone in the first place? You stare at Bucky, who was also staring at you.
Before you could even open your mouth to speak, he laughs, leaning back in his chair. You feel yourself internally deflate, sighing in relief. You definitely didn’t want to mess things up with anyone on the first day.
“Yeah, let’s just walk on back to the Hydra base and ask if I can have a new arm, too.”
You’d been living in the tower for about a week now. Steve had made you official training buddies with Bucky, so you trained every day for at least an hour. The two of you had become generally good friends, since you had quite the common interest. Sam also often hung around you. He was funny, and you liked that he could lighten the mood when you weren’t feeling the happiest. Steve was very nice, he had the aura of a big brother or a best friend. You rarely saw Clint or Natasha, so you and Wanda stuck together, being the only girls. Tony was a sarcastic asshole, but you found that he cares about people more than he let’s it show.
“Shit!” You exclaimed when a blue shell hit your car. Bucky sped past you while Sam suffered in 12th place. The three of you had been playing Mario Kart for the past hour. You’d won almost every tournament even though you had never played before now.
Once you could drive again, you had already been passed up to 6th place.
“No!” You complained, hitting Bucky on the arm.
“Ow! Jeez that’s metal, you know!” Bucky whined, trying to soothe his arm by rubbing it on the couch so he didn’t have to take his hands off the controller.
“I know, that was the point.” You admit before trying to grab the controller out of his hands.
“Hey! You dirty cheater!” Bucky yelled, trying to yank his controller out of your grip.
While you two fought each other, Sam took full advantage of the commotion and advanced up to first place. The two of you were far to occupied with beating each other up to notice. Bucky was trying to pry your metal hand off the controller with his own, while your flesh hand was jabbing him in the side to get him to let go.
You looked up at the screen to see that Sam had won the race while you two were fighting.
“No!” You cried out in defeat, shoving Bucky away from you. “Now neither of us won!”
“That’s what you two get!” Sam cheers, watching his character race around the track with ease.
“Hey, guys.” A more serious voice interrupts the playful atmosphere from behind you. You turn around and see that it’s Tony. “Can all of you meet us in the lab?”
“Um...” You swallow, not liking the tone of his voice. “Sure.”
You hesitantly stand up and follow Bucky and Sam out of the room and down to the lab. The closer you get to the lab, the more you find yourself tensing up. Whatever’s going on, it surely has to have something to do with you.
“The last time I was in a lab was when they cut my arm off.” You mutter under your breath, quiet enough so only the person next to you could hear.
Bucky just stares at you, eyes wide.
“What’s going on?” He questions as soon as you arrive at the lab. Steve and Wanda were already there, waiting.
“Well we were thinking about it.. and we realized that we’ve been putting ourselves in serious danger this past week.” Steve confesses, looking at you and then at the ground.
Of course it was about you.
“Bucky has trigger words that make him go all Winter Soldier mode, so we need to find out if you have those, too.” Tony takes over for Steve, who looks guilty.
“They never brainwashed me! It was easier for me to plan an escape with my conscious in tact so I just did what they asked!” The words are pouring out of your mouth.
“And if that is true, then good, no harm done.” Wanda nods. “Just let me look, just incase. You might think they never altered your mind, but they could have made you believe that. It’s easier to work with a weapon, not a human.”
You back up, clenching your fist.
“No! I told you to stay out of my head!” Your voice trembles. It feels like everyone is closing in on you and it reminds you of the time you spent at Hydra being an experiment. You know if there’s one person who understands, it’d be Bucky.
“Bucky,” You turn to him. “please.”
You see Bucky open his mouth to speak, when suddenly you are ripped from the present and are shooting through the past. Your body feels like it’s being pulled taut, like a puppet on a string. Your time in Hydra flies through your mind, reversing and fast forwarding. An image flashes before your eyes that you’ve never seen before.
You’re strapped down to a chair at the Hydra compound. Panicked screams of pain echo through the room, and you realize they’re from you. There’s a man that you’ve never seen before, pacing in circles around you as he reads in Russian from a book.
“Longing.”
You scream, trying to break out of the restraints.
“Corroded.”
You see yourself in the present, before you flicker back to the past. You growl in pain. It feels like icicles penetrating your skull.
“Corrupted.”
For a moment you see nothing, before you flash back to the present. The two alternate like strobe lights. You double over and fall onto your knees, hitting the ground with such incredible force that your fist cracks the ground.
“Two.”
You only see the present. You rise up, slowly.
The switch is flipped.

Attracted To The Enemy (2)
Tumblr media
[Gang AU] [ Warning: Violence + Language + Suggestive ]
Jay’s face lit up with a smile when he saw how well you had shot. “Damn baby girl you are a natural at this.” He had just failed at getting you a giant stuffed animal but you were able to win it yourself. You had shot all the targets down in record time earning the applause of those around you. “Thank you” you smiled as you accepted your reward.
“We’ve never been normal so here.” Instead of the usual scenario where the boyfriend wins the girlfriend a prize, you decided to switch it up. You handed it over to him. “Happy six month anniversary.”
“Thanks babe” Jay accepted your gift not feeling at all uncomfortable with the fact that you had won him. He was all the more proud to have you as a girlfriend. You were more than able to hold your own against anyone.
You topped it all off by giving him a peck on the lips but it could never just be a peck. You felt Jay pull you in, resting his hand on your lower back to keep you close. “Are you sure you have to work today” you teased him.
That’s how it was between you two. Jay would always shower you with affection no matter where you were or who was around. You enjoyed every minute of it.
Jay sighed feeling defeated. “Yeah, I have to go take down some cocky gang who thinks they can do whatever they want.”
“Oh does that mean you are going to expand your area?”
Jay nodded “Soon even you will be part of my area.” The area you lived in was not AOMG territory. It belonged to a cluster of biker gangs. You weren’t worried about living there though. You worked at a motorcycle workshop as a mechanic. It was one of the things you had learned from a fellow orphan and childhood friend of yours.
“No thank you” you rejected his idea. “Leave the bikers alone. They need somewhere to ride and call their own as well.” The biker gang members knew you and would never harm you or anyone. Biker gangs were more into partying and drinking. They liked to have fun. “I’m already your girlfriend. Isn’t that enough?”
“I guess... for now at least.”
“What are you planning Jay Park?”
“Not telling.”
Client: Hello X, it’s leader Nam of OTK gang. I have a job for you. Multiple targets, $20,000 a piece. How soon can you be here?
X: Seven minutes.
Leader Nam was on edge as he waited for his hired mercenary to arrive. He was all alone in his giant mansion, no sign of guards or anyone for that matter. When he heard the doorbell he quickly opened the door allowing him inside. “Thank you for coming so quickly.” Knowing you wouldn’t respond to that he continued. “I’ll cut to the chase. I need you to kill off most of my members, if you can, do all of them.”
The mercenary began typing on his phone and sent his reply.
X: I can X: But are you sure?
After reading the reply leader Nam began laughing like a paranoid person. “Yes! Kill them all. Those traitors want to kill me and take everything from me so you must beat them. They will be at the harbor tonight waiting for a fake shipment. Kill them before they kill me.”
X: Twelve members at $20,000 each will be $240,000. Do you have the funds?
“Of course I do.” He chuckled nervously before clearing his throat. “We have worked well  together in the past Mr. X and I have always presented proper payment.”
The mercenary left with only a nod.
The problem was that Leader Nam was running low on money. He had invested it all in his escape plan. He planned to live on a tropical island far away where no one knew him as a gang leader. He did have one final plan to get that money though. He pulled out his phone and dialed the phone number for his last resort. “Leader Park let’s meet.”
“This is quite a place” Kiseok commented as they parked in front of the motorcycle shop you worked in. He had suggested asking you for any information that could help them identify the unknown mercenary. If he rode a motorcycle there was a good chance you might have seen him without knowing. “How is it that your girl works here?”
Jay shrugged, “We never really talked about it but she said she’s friends with the owner. An orphan like her.” He spotted you coming out of the shop accompanied by the friend of yours he had yet to meet.  You waited around while he locked up.
“Is that the owner?” Kiseok asked. He had spotted tattoos on his arms, hands, and neck that made him start thinking of him as a probable subject. “Appearance-wise he looks like he could be a mercenary. He’s got tattoos everywhere which would explain why he always covers up.”
Jay admitted it seemed like a good assumption. “Owning a bike shop is pretty convenient. He would be able to keep an unregistered bike in the shop along with the others that are for sale”
After locking up the store the owner was the first to notice Jay and Kiseok. You were too busy fixing your hair after it had been restrained in a ponytail all day. “Looks like we have company Y/N. I’ll handle this.”
“No Alex” you tried stopping him but he had already gone over to them. You stayed behind trying to remove the grease stain you had spotted on your face through the shop’s reflective doors. You didn’t want to appear all dirty in front of Jay.
Jay and Kiseok looked suspicious to him. They were dressed up nicely, standing by an expensive car with a look that screamed gangster to him. “Do you two need help” he asked. He had a strange voice that sounded strangled, almost as if he were sick.
“Alex” you called out to him.”There’s no need to worry.” When you caught up to him you went to Jay’s side and hugged him to show your closeness to him. “This is my boyfriend Jay and his friend Kiseok.”
“Aren’t I your friend too?” Kiseok asked feeling a bit offended. You had been going out with Jay for a while now. In that time Kiseok had third-wheeled more than he cared to. Now he wanted some credit by you recognizing him as a friend as well.
You laughed but nodded in agreement. “My boyfriend Jay and my friend Kiseok” you corrected. “But why are you two here?”
“We were around the area taking care of business and decided to come pick you up.”
Alex nodded in understanding. “I was correct. I got the impression you two were in some sort of gang.”
His comment came off negatively to Kiseok. It seemed like he was belittling them.
“Actually Jay is the leader and Kiseok is second in command” you knew ranks were important to them. Gangs, in general, were a hierarchy that relied on the function of their class system. You didn’t want them to feel offended by Alex’s comment. The way he had said it sounded degrading even to you.
“You look like you could belong in one yourself.” Kiseok decided this was an opportunity he should take. “Do you belong to any? Maybe even a biker gang?”
“Not since I was in high school.”
You nodded in agreement. “Alex raced for money and by the end of high school he had enough to buy the shop.”
Jay and Kiseok exchanged a look that only they could understand. Alex seemed to fit the description of the unknown mercenary well.
Meanwhile, Alex kept his eyes on yours and Jay’s hands. You had your arms wrapped around him while he held you with one. His hand would move up and down rubbing the side of your hip. “I should get going” he voiced out as he walked to his bike. “See you tomorrow Y/N.”
“Bye” you waved to him.
When they got to your apartment building Jay walked you to the door. “I’m sorry I can’t hang out today but I have some more things I have to do. I just wanted to make sure you got home safely.”
You smiled glad to have such a caring boyfriend. “You don’t have to worry about me. I can take care of myself. I know you’re worried because of what happened at the harbor but Alex assured me that he heard the police say it was a hit job.” You pressed your lips against him for only a second, giving him a teasing peck. “Why would anyone take a hit on me?”
“I hit on you all the time” Jay joked making you laugh.
“You do.”
The possibility of Alex being the mercenary was very high. He wondered if you would be caught in the middle of the danger knowing both sides. “You don’t feel like your life is in danger being with me?”
“Of course not” You smiled to show you had absolutely no concern like that. “If anything I feel safer being with you. If I ever need to be protected I think you are the only one who could do it.”
“What if I did something that required me to go away for a while. Would you go with me?”
“Of course” you responded immediately with a smile. “I don’t have much money or a passport though so I might slow you down-”
Jay placed his hands on both sides of your face effectively silencing your negative thoughts. “I got you. You don’t have to worry about that.” He leaned in slowly and kissed you softly. It was different than all the kisses before. You felt your knees going weak and your heart pounding hard in your chest. It was to the point where you could hear its echo.
Jay knew he had to go but he didn’t want to. He kept his lips attached to yours until he heard a honk come from Kiseok’s car. You laughed, “Kiseok is waiting.”
“I know” he went back to attacking your lips once more. Once he was moderately satisfied he pulled away with a smirk. “You got saved this time but next time you are coming with me.”
You nodded in agreement.
Kiseok got a reply from Gray and Hoody letting him know that they would begin looking for information on Alex.
When Jay got back into the car he said exactly what was on his mind. “It’s Alex, he has the bike, the easily distinguished voice, tattoos that if exposed would give away his identity... he’s from the same orphanage as Y/N. Their records were lost in a fire when they were babies.”
“I asked Hoody and Gray to start looking into him.”
“Good” Jay responded. His eyes remained on your building.  He was wondering how you would be affected when he killed your friend because it would happen eventually. Even if he was your friend from childhood. He had to kill him.
X got off of his motorcycle a few blocks away from Leader Nam’s house. He had already done his part of the deal. All twelve of the OTK members were dead and no one could trace who killed them. Now all he needed was to be paid.
He quickly ran to the front gate and opened the mailbox. He became alarmed when he saw nothing there. He pulled out his phone and began texting.
X: Where is the money? Client: It is here with me. Come in. X: You know the rules. Client: Yes, but I have another job I would like to talk about. X: Fine
X entered the mansion like normal. After a few steps he stopped. The house wasn’t filled with silence like before. He could hear the slightest noises but paid no attention to them. He continued forward seeing an envelope at the foot of the stairs.
Bending down to pick it up he heard footsteps coming from behind and rolled to the side. He stood up and came face to face with Kiseok. X didn’t even take a defensive stance against him. He just stood there waiting to see what would happen next.
“Surprise attacks aren’t really my thing but they seem to be yours.” Kiseok kicked high aiming to knock off X’s helmet but he ducked down and kicked the leg Kiseok was standing on. This made Kiseok fall down allowing X to run out of the house.
Before he could reach the gate he was pulled back onto the ground. His head hit the pavement hard enough to crack the helmet. He knew he had to get out of there quickly.
“Not even a grunt?” Jay asked as he stood over X. “You really are careful about not letting your voice be heard.”
X hesitated for a moment but decided he had no choice. He quickly pulled out a knife from his sleeve and stabbed it into Jay’s foot. He never fought hand to hand with anyone. It wasn’t something he likes to do. He only killed those he was hired to kill.
“Fuck” Jay clenched his jaw tight as he felt the sharp knife pierce his skin. The knife had managed to break all the way through his shoe and foot in one clean motion.
X used the distraction to run away. He didn’t get very far when he heard a gunshot and swayed to the side. He only turned around briefly to see Jay with the gun then continued to run before he could get shot again.
“What happened?” Kiseok became worried when he saw Jay leaving a trail of blood with every step he took. “Did he shoot you?”
“He stabbed me.” Jay handed Kiseok the knife he had pulled out of his foot. “Give this to Ugly Duck and see if he can find out who it belongs to.”
Kiseok nodded.
“I didn’t get a good look but I shot him. Keep an eye on the hospitals. Anyone who goes in for an abdominal wound.”
“What if he doesn’t go to a hospital?”
“He’ll be back.” Jay was in a lot of pain. Every time he set his foot down he felt a shock of pain going up his leg. Kiseok went to his side and helped him walk back into the house. “He dropped the money outside. Go check outside.”
Kiseok did as he was told. It didn’t take long for him to spot the envelope. It was open and some of the money had fallen out. He didn’t care to pick up the loose bills. He only picked up the envelope with the money that was left inside and took it to Jay. “I guess you can’t ask Y/N to move in here now.”
“Fuck” Jay’s head dropped at the mention of your name.
“Hello” you answered the phone with a shaky voice.
“Y/N sorry to wake you” Kiseok apologized for calling so late. “Jay got hurt today.”
“Wha-” your eyes clenched shut feeling a pain like no other. Your knuckles went white as your gripped onto the bed.
“It’s nothing major don’t worry. He didn’t even want me to tell you so you wouldn’t worry but we both know how Jay is. He really would love for you to be all over him.”
A strangled laugh escaped you knowing that was true.
“He has to stay off of his foot for a few days. Just long enough for the stitches to close well. If you want I can pick you up first thing in the morning and bring you here so you can see him.”
“I work tomorrow so can you pick me up after?”
“Sure, I’ll pick you up then. Bye.”
“Bye” you breathed out before hanging up and screaming. “Yuri It hurts” you managed to say through clenched teeth.
“I know honey but the worst is over now that the bullet is out. I’m going to clean it up and stitch you right up. You’ll be fine, the bullet didn’t hit any organs and it didn’t go very deep thanks to your reinforced jacket.” Yuri was a medic for most of the biker gangs in your neighborhood. She didn’t ask any questions as long as she was paid.
“It still hurts though.” Your eyes were watery from the involuntary tears.
“I’ve got some really good painkillers. They’ll knock you right out then when you wake up you’ll be as good as almost new.” She didn’t want to lie to you. “I’m not going to lie, it’s going to hurt for a while. But, eventually, you’ll get used to the pain and won’t be bothered by it.”
You sighed, “I can deal with it.”
“There,” she finished by putting a gauze over the stitched area in case any blood decided to come out. You slowly jumped down from the examination bed with only a grunt trying to show you could handle the pain. “Don’t lift any heavy objects and sleep face down for the next week. Come see me and I’ll take a look.”
“Thanks Yuri.” You pulled down your blood-stained shirt and put your jacket back on. It now had a hole where the bullet passed.
“Don’t thank me just pay me.” She extended her hand, palm up towards you.
-end-

The Final Curtain: Why Sherlock Failed Me
A couple of hours ago, I watched my first Sherlock AMV since I quit the fandom last year. And I realized something: I was more interested in the music than in the actual video footage. I still care about Sherlock and John as characters, but it felt like meeting a friend that I fell out of contact with. I was mildly interested in knowing how they were doing, but I couldn’t bother to be annoyed about their fate anymore. Nowadays, I feel much closer to other fandoms. At the same moment when I realized this, I also noticed that my head was much clearer than when I wrote my last meta on the show. I was rather unfair to Sherlock back then, and although it’s a distant memory, I would like to pay tribute to the joy the show once has given me.
  I came for the quirkiness:
Sherlock was not meant to be such a large production: It was a three-part special, dedicated to the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and as such, the budget did not allow for bombastic special effects like the big explosions and gun fights in the Downey Jr. movies. The closest the show came to “special effects” were some random words floating around mid-air, and this is typical of British adaptations. Around 2010-2012, there was another pseudo detective show of similar down-to-earth character: Dirk Gently. Both shows prove that you do not need giant fireballs hurled at the protagonist to make the audience care for them: It’s the characterization, not the story, that drives these shows forward.
Sherlock aired at a time when detective shows turned extremely dull, because they were competing in gruel depictions rather than in complex protagonists. It is enjoyable to watch two characters have a seemingly pointless conversation over dinner, because this is something that would get cut in more commercially oriented shows. Sherlock defied the formula of “corpse, investigation, solution” by offering multiple cases or telling us the identity of the culprit, but not the reason. Since it was three episodes, they got away with it: People would either watch all or none. There was no need to make it easier for casual viewers to enjoy the show. It is a piece of self-reference and experimentation. Honestly, I doubt this show would have attracted that much attention if it were not for Cumberbatch and Freeman. Dirk Gently also breaks with a lot of traditions, but its leads are not as aesthetically pleasing to the masses, I guess.
Sherlock was quirky. It was essentially British; it was stubbornly refusing to let itself be categorised as a drama or a detective show or a comedy.
  I stayed for the drama:
The second season had big shoes to fill, especially since there was no true storyline yet. The first season was just as much an iteration of disconnected events as most of the short stories. However, Sherlock seemed to be there to stay, and that is why the writers had the guts to go one step further. In the second season, they would build up towards a full dramatic arc: Moriarty would truly be involved, not just some hinted shadowy figure. This way, the cases would be personal. The focus shifted towards the interpersonal relationships between the characters, and this also explains why Mycroft was suddenly pulled to the front. Any progress, any obstacle during the investigations had to be connected to the human network surrounding the protagonists. There was no room for chance, for some outside force. The second season is built on drama, not on cases. Instead, the characters are pitted against each other.
I fell out of love when the show reoriented itself:
During the great hiatus, I consumed a lot of fanwork, and, admittedly, this raised my expectations of the third season. There had been a lot of predictive meta, a lot of great fan continuations. In truth, Sherlock had no chance to live up to the hype. There was no way they could cram Sherlock’s return, fiendishly difficult cases, a homosexual relationship, a sob-story past for Sherlock, a credible theory for Moriarty’s survival and a drama arc concerning John’s alcoholic sister into three episodes. The average post-s2 story covering these topics is about 150 k words!
No, season three was fated to disappoint, because it could not possibly satisfy all the subgroups of the fandom. Due to the previous multi-facetious approach, there were shippers, there were genuine Holmes fans, there were those that were in for the human drama, and those that simply liked detective shows. Additionally, the show had crossed a lot of borders: The writers were no longer writing for the BBC, but for the world, which means that cultural quirks only work to a certain degree before they become incomprehensible or unacceptable.
And that’s when the writers lost me, somebody who joined the fandom for the original pilot, not the drama of the second season (although it was an added benefit): They decided to reorient the show, to make it more mainstream, more accessible. At the same time, they felt obliged to satisfy the “original” crowd by offering us meaningless references to the past. They attempted to do a little of everything. They would hint at Johnlock, they built up a mastermind villain who fell short at the decisive moment. They gave us a great return drama, but glossed over the emotional upheaval because… time. The off-switch on the bomb, that’s essentially the off-switch to the drama. They had to move on to the next fan wish. Sherlock was hurt badly, which satisfied the whumpers. They tried their best to address all the needs, at the cost of being indecisive, yes, baiting, even. It became virtually impossible to pick a main theme running through the season, because they poured all the ingredients into one giant bowl and mixed them until it the distinctive flavour of the original products is lost.
Season three is not a good example of a homoromantic forerunner of its time, because the Mary arc destroys the message.
It is not a good example of a continuation, because it fails to address the questions left unanswered by its predecessor.
It is not a good example of detective show, because the cases are not presented as the main attraction. It is difficult to guess alongside Sherlock without being given the necessary clues.
It is not a good example of a drama, because the dramatic turns are not addressed in terms of their consequences. Sherlock’s fake death remains without lasting consequences as does Mary’s attempt at murder, and let’s not mention Magnussen’s death.
Season three has so much to offer, but essentially, it fails to find its own theme. The characters and plots are yanked all over the place to fit the new audience’s demographics.
As soon as I sobered up, I quit:
I cannot say much about the fourth season, only having watched the first trailer. However, the interviews and spoilers showed me that the cast were extremely pleased with their previous achievements. I doubt they reflected how much their show had changed, and especially their comment on how they were able to create the show they had wanted to create helped me sober up. By this date, Sherlock had become a highly commercialized, close to mainstream work drama. If this was truly what the writers wanted to create, then season four had nothing to offer to me.
I no longer suffered from the illusion that Sherlock would address the flaws of the third season or return to being about crime solving. At this point, I had turned into a serious Johnlocker. To me, it seemed the only way to save the show from becoming forgettable. If it could not become a legend from an in-story perspective, then it could write history for the depiction of a homoromantic relationship on a large scale. Sherlock attracted a huge audience in countries where such topics are highly problematic. It seemed like such a good idea to use this falling star as a missionary for social awareness. Since Brokeback Mountain, the depiction of gay people in the media has increased, but it is still about stereotypical behavior, and usually, these people don’t experience a lot of happiness. It would have been nice to watch a show that would address the issue in a subversive way. That would have been modestly refreshing.
However, I realized that there would be no grand scheme to put forward a message to the society. No, just another three episodes of mainstream explosions, gun fire, pointless squabbling to create drama, and some backstory that would please the whumpers. Of course, Mary also had to die after giving birth, which satisfies the haters and invites the fluff fans to praise the resolution of the arc.
Sherlock had, essentially, become predictable. And predictable is boring, because it’s exceeding the expectations that makes a show great.
  And now?
Am I disappointed in Sherlock? Actually, no, I am not. I suppose I had been disappointed last year, but since then, I moved on. I’ve accepted that I am a picky viewer, and that this was just another failure in a long list of forgettable shows that did not live up to my high expectations.
  Addendum:
By the way, there’s a Japanese show that recently had the guts to portray a gay couple without a tragic end or defining the characters by their sexuality: Yuri on Ice. The protagonists are professional figure skaters and the show is mostly concerned with their work experiences. It is a well-written and highly popular sports series, in my opinion.
I am somewhat surprised that the very conservative Japanese managed to beat us when it comes to this.

The Republican Party of Iowa is the political party affiliate of the national Republican Party. The group is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa.
Iowa Republicans Back Trump In Caucuses Batting Away Two Gop Challengers
Regardless of an incumbent president from their party, Republicans still came out to show their support at the Iowa Caucuses on Monday night.
DES MOINES President Trump handily warded off two GOP challengers in Mondays Republican caucuses after Iowa Republicans turned out to pledge their support for the impeached president.
The Iowa Republican Party announced at 9:38 p.m. Monday that the party broke caucus turnout record set in similar caucus years when there was an incumbent president. With 94 percent reporting at 10:46 p.m., Trump had won all of the partys 37 delegates with 99 percent of caucusgoers support. The other two candidates former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld and former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh did not have enough supporters to be viable at any precinct.
Des Moines resident Gary Propstein, 61, arrived at Perkins Elementary Schools library 45 minutes early and waited for the Republican caucus to start. He wore a Keep America Great hat and proudly voiced his support for Trump.
The Democrats just dont want to accept that he won the election, even though there was nothing wrong, Propstein said of the impeachment. Trumps impeachment trial regarding his alledged abuse of power and obstruction of Congress will come to a vote on Wednesday. Trumps an outsider and just proving theres corruption.
He said his support for Trump is based on more than party politics. Propstein said he supports Trump because hes not a traditional politician.

Meet Trumps Gop Opposition
Suffice it to say, neither Walsh nor Weld has much chance against Trump. Walsh has already announced that he will not be on the ballot in his home state of Illinois, citing a lack of resources and the need to focus on Iowa and New Hampshire. Ive contacted Weld and Walsh for comment and will update if and when I hear back.
Part of it is that we have to convince a lot of the Republican donors that there is a viable option and theyre going to want to see results before they put money into our organization, a spokesperson told the Chicago Sun-Times. And while Weld has polled well in New Hampshire, his numbers are far outmatched by Trumps.
But victory isnt necessarily the point of either mans long-shot bid for the White House. Rather, their campaigns are intended as signals to Trump-skeptical Republicans that theyre not alone in their opposition to the president.
For Weld, his focus is on restoring normalcy to the Republican Party as a real Republican. When I with the former governor back in August and asked him about Trumps considerable popularity with the GOP, he told me, Im not willing to concede your premise. I will concede that Im a normal Republican, and the implication of that is that Mr. Trump is a Republican in name only.
He believes Republican voters are looking for fiscal conservatism and a small-government ethos from a presidential candidate willing to stand up for the taxpayer.
Weld has a lengthy political history, as I detailed last year:
Relationship With The Press
Throughout his career, Trump has sought media attention, with a “lovehate” relationship with the press. Trump began promoting himself in the press in the 1970s. Fox News anchor and former House speaker have characterized Trump as a “” who makes controversial statements to see people’s “heads explode.”
In the 2016 campaign, Trump benefited from a record amount of free media coverage, elevating his standing in the Republican primaries.New York Times writer wrote in 2018 that Trump’s media dominance, which enthralls the public and creates “can’t miss” reality television-type coverage, was politically beneficial for him.
As a candidate and as president, Trump frequently accused the press of bias, calling it the “fake news media” and “the .” In 2018, journalist recounted Trump’s saying he intentionally demeaned and discredited the media “so when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.”
As president, Trump deployed the legal system to intimidate the press. In early 2020, the Trump campaign sued The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN for alleged defamation in opinion pieces about Russian election interference. Legal experts said that the lawsuits lacked merit and were not likely to succeed. By March 2021, the lawsuits against The New York Times and CNN had been dismissed.
Once The Voting Is Over Its Time To Translate Those Results Into Delegates
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Delegates, after all, are the point of presidential primaries and caucuses. Its delegates, not the sheer number of votes, that political parties count to determine who will be their nominee.
After the alignments, the viable candidates will be allocated whats called State Delegate Equivalents, according to their performance at that site.
These delegates, through a process involving Democratic Party math and the state convention, will eventually correlate to the number of national delegates a candidate gets at the national conventions.
The Iowa Democratic Party doesnt declare a winner, but historically the person with the most SDEs has been considered the winner. However, with the first- and second-round results being reported out this year, its conceivable candidates could have more opportunities to spin the results in their favor.
Registered Republican voters show up at their caucus site, hear some speeches and vote for their preferred candidate. The votes are counted and the delegates are elected to the county convention based on the proportion of support a candidate receives.
Despite several state Republican parties canceling their 2020 primaries because an incumbent is running for reelection, Iowa Republicans will hold their caucus on Feb. 3.
As Iowa Goes So Goes What Past Losers Still Won The Gop Nomination

The next sounds you hear will be Iowa Republicans rendering their judgment for 2012. The road to the magic number of 1,145 delegates needed to clinch the GOP nomination begins Tuesday. The caucuses, all 1,774 of them, start at 7 pm Central time , and results may start to trickle in within the hour.
Here’s a look at the field, presented in order of their standing in the final Des Moines Register poll, which was released Saturday night:
Rick Santorum : If any candidate goes into Tuesday’s caucuses with momentum, according to the Des Moines Register poll, it’s Santorum. Until now, he had been the only candidate not to experience a day in the sun as a “frontrunner.” In fact, few were even talking about him. But his dogged determination in organizing in all 99 counties seems to have paid off, at least in the Register and CNN polls. If the evangelical vote coalesces around him he did get the backing of Bob Vander Plaats, a big deal with pro-family groups Santorum could be a factor. And even if it is only third place, that’s still much better than anyone could have imagined just a short time ago. But a strong finish on Tuesday needs to be followed by strong finishes elsewhere, in states where he has not put in the time and effort he has in Iowa, and he is hampered by a lack of organization and money.
History. Here’s a look at the results of contested GOP caucuses since 1980
1980:
Iowa winner George H.W. Bush
1979 straw poll winner Bush
1988:
1996:
How Many People Turn Out For The Caucuses
For a long time, that was a surprisingly difficult question to answer. Until recently, the parties didnt report attendance figures, only state delegate equivalents, using complex formulas to translate the caucus-night results into state convention delegates. Individual precincts didnt always keep close counts of how many people caucused, or if anyone left early. Add in that 17-year-olds can caucus if theyll turn 18 by Election Day, and the difficulties in reliably calculating turnout become clear.
In 2016, 186,874 Iowans participated in the Republican caucus and 171,109 participated in the Democratic caucus, both held on Feb. 1. On that date, according to the Iowa secretary of states office, there were 586,835 active registered Democratic voters and 615,763 active Republican registered voters. That works out to 30.3% of eligible Republicans and 29.2% of eligible Democrats participating in the caucuses, or 18.5% of the states total 1,937,317 active registered voters.
As of Jan. 2, 2020, according to the secretary of states office, there were 2,017,205 active register voters in Iowa. 614,519 were registered Democrats, 639,969 were registered Republicans, and the rest were independents or members of other parties.
Iowa Caucuses: Nine Unusual Things About Them
On Monday evening, tens of thousands of Democrats in Iowa will brave the cold and gather in schools, churches, gyms and libraries to decide on their favourite presidential candidates.
It’s the first stop in the race for the Democratic nomination – but it’s not a traditional vote as you know it.
Most US elections involve filling in a ballot paper in private. But in Iowa’s caucuses, Democrats will gather in noisy rooms, stand in different zones to show which candidate they support – and try to convince others to switch sides.
Here’s what’s unusual about one of the first key contests for Democrats who want to take on Donald Trump.
A Disappointment: Iowa Caucus Turnout Below Expectations
DES MOINES, Iowa Iowa Democrats are recovering from a number of disappointments after Mondays Iowa caucuses, though one has received less attention than the others.
About 176,000 Iowans attended their precinct caucuses, a slight uptick from 2016 but fewer than expected.
The number is certain to rattle Democrats who are banking on high turnout in battlegrounds across the country to win in November. And it raises doubts about whether Iowa is winnable by Democrats, after a recent shift toward Republicans.
The number was perhaps most disappointing to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose strategy in the primary and the general election hinges on bringing out young and infrequent voters. Asked about the turnout at a debate Friday night, Sanders acknowledged it was off the mark.
Thats a disappointment and I think all of us probably could have done a better job of bringing out our supporters, he said.
The parade of candidates, a Democratic base seething to unseat President Donald Trump and high participation in 2018 midterms had party insiders braced for a turnout could match or top the contests high-water mark.
But Monday came nowhere near the 2008 caucuses, when roughly 238,000 Iowans participated in the kickoff clash among Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, onetime Iowa favorite John Edwards and a handful of others. The 2020 caucuses did draw 5,000 more than 2016, when Clinton very narrowly beat Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, but went on to lose to Donald Trump.
Civil War And Reconstruction
American settlers began to establish cotton in north Florida, which required numerous laborers, which they supplied by buying slaves in the domestic market. By 1860, Florida had only 140,424 people, of whom 44% were enslaved. There were fewer than 1,000 free before the American Civil War.
On January 10, 1861, nearly all delegates in the Florida Legislature approved an ordinance of secession, declaring Florida to be “a sovereign and independent nation”an apparent reassertion to the preamble in Florida’s Constitution of 1838, in which Florida agreed with Congress to be a “Free and Independent State.” The ordinance declared Florida’s secession from the , allowing it to become one of the founding members of the .
The Confederacy received little military help from Florida; the 15,000 troops it offered were generally sent elsewhere. Instead of troops and manufactured goods, Florida did provide salt and, more importantly, beef to feed the Confederate armies. This was particularly important after 1864, when the Confederacy lost control of the Mississippi River, thereby losing access to Texas beef. The largest engagements in the state were the , on February 20, 1864, and the , on March 6, 1865. Both were Confederate victories. The war ended in 1865.
Iowa Caucuses: Steve Kornacki Explains How They Work
Another change: Only members of nonviable groups will be allowed to realign. In the past, candidates who had initially hit 15 percent could lose supporters in the realignment. But for this cycle, the initial 15 percent support gets locked in.
Unlike the Democrats, Republicans select their candidate via a simple secret ballot. There is no shuffling from one corner of the caucus site to the other. There is no 15 percent viability or realignment. And there’s no mathematical formula to determine delegates awarded at each caucus site.
With President Donald Trump receiving nominal GOP opposition, however, the Republican process in Iowa isn’t as important to follow this presidential cycle.

How Are Delegates Awarded
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For candidates who make the 15% viability cut, 2,107 state delegate equivalents will be awarded proportionally by precinct on caucus night. Then, the party holds a series of conventions that eventually lead to the election and proportional allocation of the states 41 pledged national delegates who will head to the Democratic National Convention.
To win the nomination, a Democrat needs the backing of a majority of the 3,979 pledged national delegates at stake at the convention.
Why Does Iowa Vote First
Caucuses have been features of Iowa politics since the 19th century, but, as one historian wrote, they attracted no national attention before 1972: Generally, caucus attendance was poor, and often a handful of party regulars were the only persons present.
That changed after the national Democratic Party revamped its nominating process in the wake of its chaotic 1968 convention. As a consequence of those changes, the Iowa party moved its precinct caucuses which typically had been held in late March or early April to Jan. 24, somewhat inadvertently making them the first step on the long road to the national convention. In 1972, George McGovern campaigned in Iowa to raise his profile ahead of the New Hampshire primary; even though McGovern came in third in Iowa, he ultimately won the nomination. In 1976, the Republican and Democratic parties agreed to hold their caucuses on the same day, and both attracted substantial attention from candidates and the media. Since then, the state has zealously defended its first-in-the-nation status.
But this status has not come without opposition. Among registered voters who identify as Democrats or as independents who lean toward the Democratic Party, 26% say its a bad thing that Iowas caucuses go before other states, versus 9% who say its a good thing, according to a new Pew Research Center report. Opposition was strongest among liberals and those who said theyve thought a lot about the candidates.
Iowa Republican Presidential Caucuses

The 2020 Iowa Republican presidential caucuses took place on Monday, February 3, 2020, as the first caucus or primary in the Republican Party presidential primaries for the 2020 presidential election. The Iowa caucuses are a closed caucus, with Iowa awarding 40 pledged delegates to the Republican National Convention, allocated on the basis of the results of the caucuses. Incumbent president Donald Trump received about 97 percent of the vote to clinch 39 delegates, while Bill Weld received enough votes to clinch 1 delegate.
Iowa Caucuses Turnout: Entrance Poll Shows Dip In First
Daniel Arkin
Iowa’s presidential caucuses were expected to draw record turnout Monday, but early data from the NBC News entrance poll show a big dip in participants attending a Democratic caucus for the first time.
The entrance poll showed just about a third of voters 35 percent caucusing this year are first-timers, a lower level than in 2016, when first-timers made up 44 percent of the Hawkeye State’s Democratic caucusgoers.
And this year’s level of new participants is well shy of that in 2008, when a whopping 57 percent of Democrats said they had never caucused before.
In a statement addressing a delay in results, the Iowa Democratic Party said that early data indicate turnout could eventually match that of 2016.
“What we know right now is that around 25 percent of precincts have reported, and early data indicates turnout is on pace for 2016,” IDP communications director Mandy McClure said.
How Many Other States And Territories Use Caucuses
Not as many as used to. This year, besides Iowa, only two other states and four U.S. territories will pick their Democratic convention delegates through caucuses, 11 fewer states than in 2016. In 2018, the national Democratic Party adopted a package of changes to its nominating process, including a rule encouraging state parties to use government-run primaries whenever possible.
Caucuses have been on the decline for a long time. On the Democratic side in 1972, 33 states and territories used them to pick convention delegates, and, as late as 1984, 32 still did. By 2016, however, only 14 states and four territories were still using them.
The 2024 Iowa Caucus Campaign Has Already Begun
Trump’s preeminence in the Republican Party isn’t stopping would-be successors from campaigning and recruiting supporters in Iowa.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa Former President Donald Trump would be the overwhelming frontrunner for the Republican Partys nomination should he wage a 2024 comeback bid. But thats not stopping his would-be GOP successors from barreling into Iowa.
Only months after Trumps election defeat, Republicans are laying the groundwork for the all-important, first-in-the-nation presidential caucuses. Potential candidates are hopscotching across the state to fundraise, campaign for midterm hopefuls and appear at traditional party dinners that mark the start of caucus season.
And behind the scenes, Republicans are making overtures to influential activists, meeting with party leaders and hiring operatives with deep experience in Iowa, which is still expected to be the first 2024 contest for Republicans even though Democrats are grappling with whether to change their nominating calendar.
The burst of early activity which is set to accelerate over the summer months illustrates how Republicans are maneuvering with an eye toward succeeding Trump. A Trump bid would likely extinguish their hopes of becoming the partys nominee, and at least one candidate has said they won’t run if if Trump does. But would-be contenders are wasting no time preparing for the possibility of an open nominating contest.

Trump Easily Wins Iowa Republican Caucuses
Trump will talk about economy, immigration, trade at SOTU: Dan Henninger
The Wall Street Journal’s editorial page deputy editor and Fox News contributor Dan Henninger says President Trump ‘will rise above’ discussing the Democrats’ impeachment efforts during his State of the Union address on Tuesday.
President Trump easily defeated his primary rivals in Mondays Iowa Republican caucuses, in the first indication that those attempting to take on the president inside his own party stand a slim chance of making headway against the incumbent.
Iowa results showed the president winning with roughly 97 percent of the vote over former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld and former Illinois congressman Joe Walsh. The primary challengers walked away with about 1 percent each.
2020 PRIMER: HOW THE IOWA CAUCUSES WORK
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel congratulated the president, vowing he’ll carry the state in November.
While the focus has been on the Democratic contest Monday, Iowa Republicans also caucused at precincts throughout the state.
The president has record support among Republican voters, Republican National Committee spokesman Rick Gorka told Fox News on Monday. I am not concerned with those embarked on a vanity project.
When asked how long he would stay in the Republican primary race after his defeat Monday night, Walsh campaign spokesman Charles Siler told Fox News on Monday that the former congressman “is keeping every option open.”
Statehood And Indian Removal
Defense of Florida’s northern border with the United States was minor during the second Spanish period. The region became a haven for escaped slaves and a base for Indian attacks against U.S. territories, and the U.S. pressed Spain for reform.
Americans of and began moving into northern Florida from the backwoods of and . Though technically not allowed by the Spanish authorities and the Floridan government, they were never able to effectively police the border region and the backwoods settlers from the United States would continue to immigrate into Florida unchecked. These migrants, mixing with the already present British settlers who had remained in Florida since the British period, would be the progenitors of the population known as .
These American settlers established a permanent foothold in the area and ignored Spanish authorities. The British settlers who had remained also resented Spanish rule, leading to a rebellion in 1810 and the establishment for ninety days of the so-called Free and Independent Republic of on September 23. After meetings beginning in June, rebels overcame the garrison at , and unfurled the flag of the new republic: a single white star on a blue field. This flag would later become known as the “”.
Some Seminoles remained, and the U.S. Army arrived in Florida, leading to the . Following the war, approximately 3,000 Seminole and 800 Black Seminole were removed to . A few hundred Seminole remained in Florida in the .
What Exactly Are The Iowa Caucuses
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Iowa caucuses are essentially neighborhood meetings of those political parties which were able to garner a set amount of votes in the previous general election.
Caucuses are not elections. They are run by the state parties and not state government. They are the mechanism through which individuals show their support for a candidate, and tell the parties what issues matter to them.
Every two years, the two major political parties hold these caucus meetings to discuss their platform and upcoming events. But every four years, during the presidential elections, the caucuses are also used to determine who the parties presidential nominee should be.
Since Iowa is the first state in the nation to hold a caucus or primary, during Februaries of presidential election years, all eyes are in Iowa to see who the early leaders will be in the presidential race.
The caucus system, rightly, has come under criticism in recent years. Other states, like New Hampshire, hold primaries where people simply cast a vote to conduct similar party business. Unlike casting a vote, which you can do in minutes over a period of a day, the caucuses require people to be physically present for a few hours. That makes participation difficult for people who can’t get or afford child care, people living with disabilities or mobility issues, people who lack transportation, and people who work evenings.
Caucus Turnout: Robust Record
Iowas 2016 caucus attendance was a doozy.
Republicans counted more than 180,000 caucusgoers, topping their 2012 attendance record of 121,503 by an estimated 60,000 people.
And while Democratic numbers werent completely tallied at the time of this publication, all indications pointed to a robust performance, although not likely to top the roughly 240,000 total who showed up in 2008 to vote for a Democratic rock-star field led by Barack Obama, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton.
The turnouts shunned conventional wisdom that high participation would equate to a Donald Trump victory, said Kedron Bardwell, the chairman of the political science department at Simpson College.
Its not what people were expecting in terms of what would happen if we had an increased turnout, Bardwell said. This is a dynamic kind of effect. If people anticipate that Trump is going to win, it also motivates the people that want anybody but Trump.
Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann said he is “very, very proud of my fellow citizens” for the record turnout.
“If there was ever a doubt that the people of Iowa believe in grassroots democracy, I think tonight that doubt is completely erased, Kaufmann said.
Some caucusgoers reported delays due to crowds.
At least one Democratic voter precinct at Iowa State University initially ran out of voter registration papers, according to a report from Betsy Woodruff, a reporter for The Daily Beast. At other sites, caucusgoers .
