EIGHT.
That night, yet again duty calls for Aizawa like the Bat signal in the late of night.
Like his usual routine, he sends Eri to Mic’s dorm for the night with packed fruit snacks, a stuffed animal, DVDs, and precooked tacos to keep her occupied for the night while he’s out. Then he’s suiting up and taking off into the city to stop another possible robbery.
This time it’s a stickup at an art exhibit in the wealthier part of Musutafu–nothing but penthouses and condos, high-end designer stores, and luxury cars that would make anyone jealous.
According to police reports from earlier tonight, two quirked robbers disguised themselves as possible customers and entered the exhibit building before taking two customers at gunpoint. While one robber has a speed quirk, the other has invisibility.
Aizawa made note of both and is already planning his rescue mission in his head as he sits perched on the nearest building, nothing but a shadow in the darkness. He sees nothing out of the ordinary outside the building aside from expensive cars and a sign dedicated to the exhibit, but he knows better than to overlook it.
He begins mapping out his first line of action in his head, taking into account his suspects’ quirks. He could possibly erase each one’s quirk but if they have a gun and one of them has speed, that could be difficult. Plus, if the other has invisibility, it would be very easy for them to hide or escape without ever being found. Aizawa thoughtfully rubs his scruffy chin. Maybe if he were to–
“Well, if it isn’t my favorite nighttime patrol.”
The hairs on the back of Aizawa’s neck instantly stand up and, as an instinct, he jets his arm out towards the voice.
His scarf immediately follows his arm and wraps around the stranger, squeezing them enough to cease any kind of move they could try to make on him. However, when his eyes land on the shocked expression of Night Claw and her boots dangling off the roof, his defenses lower.
“The hell?” He mutters confusedly.
He hasn’t seen her since his run-in with the crew trying to steal from the International Pro Hero Museum, not even in newspapers or on social media (as little as Aizawa is on it). But here she is now, tightly wrapped in his scarf.
“Well, it’s nice to see you, too,” Night Claw replies, giggling despite her situation. “Didn’t mean to startle you, but that was my bad. Shouldn’t ever walk up on a hero on guard.”
She actually looks guilty. Aizawa smirks. She should be. “You got that right,” he grumbles before loosening his hold on the vigilante until his scarf slithers away back around his neck. “What are you doing here?” He bluntly questions, readjusting his scarf. “You here to steal this arrest too?”
Night Claw readjusts her mask before walking toward his crouched position, the heels of her boots clicking as she does. “Had some time,” she replies with a red-lipped, mischievous smile. “Decided to come out and see what I could do with it. And what’s this about me stealin’ your arrest? That was my arrest before I gave it to you if I remember correctly.”
She crosses her arms over her bosom and pouts, jutting one hip to the side that Aizawa finds his eyes locked on. “Can’t believe that this is what you give me after I saved your ass from that lil’ psycho.” She raises a curious eyebrow at him. “He behind bars?”
Aizawa stares up at her, curious and confused. The museum bust was all over the news the next day. How does she not know what happened? Is she just playing with him? Trying to get him to admit that she handed those dumbasses right to him? “Yes, I made sure the cops got him as well as the rest of his crew.”
He adverts his eyes from hers, ignoring the way he grows hot under his scarves. “Thanks to you,” he mutters.
Night Claw laughs, light and happy. He physically cringes at how cute it is, let alone that he’s admitting that she was a big help. “Why, thank you!” she happily giggles. “It was my pleasure to help.”
Silence finally falls between them for a while, allowing Aizawa to continue with his mission. The exhibit building is still quiet, not a single thing out of place from what he’s seeing from his position.
Night Claw suddenly perches down next to him, hitting him with the scent of perfume. “So is this what you do all night? Sit around and wait for some danger?” Her tone is playful. “Don’t you have friends or a partner to occupy your time?”
Aizawa glances briefly at her witty smirk. “I don’t think that’s any of your business,” he dryly replies. “And no, for your information. I have a life as do all heroes. We don’t just fight crime all day and night.” He continues to stare out at the exhibit, watching and waiting.
Obviously, Night Claw doesn’t take the hint that he’s in the middle of a mission because she just keeps on chatting away. “So what do you do all day and night, Eraser?” she asks curiously as if they’re on a first date. “Perhaps you’re like Bruce Wayne? You got a secret cave somewhere where you store your fit?”
She giggles to herself. “Or maybe a toxic relationship with an enemy that wears clown makeup that you may or may not be in love with?”
Aziawa scowls confusedly. “What?” he questions, raising an eyebrow at you. “Batman isn’t in love with the Joker. Batman isn’t in love with anyone.”
“Hello?” Night Claw scoffs incredulously. “Are you forgetting that Catwoman exists? She had that man putty in his hands.” She sighs to herself, moving up to sit on the ledge and cross her legs. “I guess seduction is a superpower,” she says, more to herself than to Aizawa as she mindlessly sits back onto her wrists.
Aizawa watches her, admiring her body when he damn well should be checking out the exhibit. But he just can’t help but notice how attractive the vigilante is: her skin, much darker and melanated than his, is illuminated in the moonlight; her gorgeous legs clad in leather, the glittering slashes in the fabric stretching across her thighs that he’s sure would feel heavenly in his hands.
“I guess it is,” he agrees before he can stop himself.
Night Claw suddenly turns to look at him, and Aizawa is suddenly hit with a wave of deja vu as he stares into her eyes. They are illuminated by the moonlight, giving him a clear look at the golden slits of her irises. He can’t place where he’s seen them before, but he knows that he has. But how? He’s only met the woman once!
Night Claw looks shy suddenly, pulling away from his intense stare. “What?” she asks softly.
Aizawa realizes he is leaning in closer to get a look at her and quickly pulls away. “Nothing,” he mutters to himself, flushing with embarrassment as Night Claw continues to stare at him. What’s the matter with him?
The moment is ruined by the sound of an obvious gunshot coming from the exhibit building along with a shrill scream. Aizawa and Night Claw quickly rise from their seats and stare out from their perch at the building.
Aizawa mentally kicks himself. Here he is, being a fucking horn dog and people are inside waiting to be saved! He needs to get his fucking head in the game. “Judging from that, a hostage probably pissed them off,” he bluntly says.
“How many are there?” Night Claw asks, her voice hushed and serious.
“Two. One has a speed quirk and the other has invisibility powers.” Another shot suddenly rings out along with a scream. “I’ve gotta go,” he quickly announces.
He begins to move closer to the ledge to take off, eyeing a nearby street lamp as leverage. But Night Claw stops him by putting a hand on his arm. “Let me help,” she urgently suggests. “We could take ‘em out together.”
Aizawa stares her down, wondering if she’s serious. Just because she handed him one mission doesn’t mean he’s jumping at the chance to have her on another one. “I don’t work with anyone I’m not assigned to,” he deadpans. “I work alone.”
Night Claw purses her lips at him, her eyes turning to irked slits. “Okay, knockoff Bruce Wayne,” she wittily replies. “Not tryna steal your thunder or nothing. With my quirk, I can slip under the door and other tight spaces. I could take out one while you go for the other since they’re two of them.”
Aizawa pauses, taking her plan into consideration. He hasn’t seen her in action or what her quirk entails, but he does know she’s quick with how fast she was able to wrangle up the robbers at the museum that night for him. Plus, she’s quiet on her feet which definitely comes in handy with a situation as hostile as this one.
After a few seconds of hesitation, he finally gives in. “Fine,” he firmly replies, ignoring her giddy smile, “but we’ll have to be closer to assess the situation.”
She nods frantically and Aizawa has to bite back a humored smile. It’s kinda cute how excited she is. She almost reminds him of Eri. He moves closer to the ledge and winds one of his scarves around his wrist in preparation. “We’ll perch on the roof of the exhibit until we come to a good plan. Think you can keep up?”
He turns to Night Claw only to find her gone. A keen-like laugh turns his attention downward where a steel pipe connects from the building he stands on to the next. Night Claw is perched there in a perfect squat, a twinkle in her eye.
“Can you, Eraser?” she cackles before she leaps off of the steel pipe into the air and lands on a nearby dumpster a few yards away from the exhibit.
Aizawa watches in awe as she leaps from place to place, admiring her flexibility, agility, and swiftness. She’s like a flash of black in the moonlight. He’s so enchanted by her quirk that he nearly misses his chance to beat her to the exhibit.
“Oh, you sneaky little cat,” he playfully growls before aiming his scarf at the streetlight post and swinging from his perch.
Night Claw is quick, but he matches her speed, catching up to her immediately as she jets across the top of a building a jump away from the exhibit. As he careens upwards, they share a brief glance and a laugh leaves Night Claw’s lips when she realizes he can, indeed, catch up. Aizawa smiles to himself, feeling a carefree laugh bubble in his chest. It feels good to race like this. To play around for once.
Night Claw makes it to the exhibit first by jumping from the rooftop and landing perfectly on the exhibit building’s roof, disappearing behind the chimney. Aizawa follows shortly after, tying his scarf to the chimney and swinging himself over before climbing the rest of the way up.
By the time he’s there, he’s out of breath. ‘Christ, I’m gettin’ old.’
“Pssst!” Night Claw is perched above a glass window that overlooks the exhibit from above. “Down here,” she whispers, pointing at the window.
Aizawa moves next to her, peering down into the window. Below he can see the hostages all currently being held in one group near a stage where dozens of expensive art and the two suspects holding guns stand. One is in a slim red dress while the other wears a suit, but both have the same dark hair and olive skin. They’re obviously siblings.
Night Claw presses her hand to the window, causing it to tremble slightly. Quickly, she snatches her hand back, her eyes wide with shock. Aizawa holds the edges of the window and pulls on it. Sure enough, it moves.
Night Claw gasps excitedly, not believing their luck. “Think you can get down there without making any noise?” he asks, glancing at her. “I can wrap my scarf around you and lower you down first if you’re okay with going first.”
Night Claw smirks at him. “I’m more than okay with that,” she cockily replies. “But it’s nice that you care.” Aizawa rolls his eyes and proceeds to wrap her up in his scarf once again, securing it around her middle. “You focus on distracting them while I focus on taking the guns.”
Night Claw nods and gives him a thumbs-up, signaling that she’s good to go. Aizawa slowly moves the window and begins to lower the vigilante down, down, down through the open window. She isn’t that hard to lower down; plus, Aizawa has held heavier things in his lifetime. He watches her carefully, making sure to lower her as slowly as possible behind the nearest broken art case to block her from the view of the siblings and the hostages.
Night Claw hangs suspended from his scarf, hands out and legs dangling like she’s in a spy movie. Aizawa doesn’t doubt that she thinks she is. On stage, the siblings have begun to gather together the art, the sister opening a large sack. “Anyone moves an inch, you’re dead,” the brother growls at the hostages, pointing his gun at each of them. “Nobody’s leavin’ until we’re done here.”
When Night Claw’s feet hit the floor, she gives Aizawa another thumbs-up and he unties her. And distracts them, she does–she pushes the art case down and the sharp, sudden sound of it hitting the floor gathers everyone’s attention.
She emerges then, standing in the middle of the floor with her hands on her hips, confident in the face of danger. “If you’re planning on selling this art, you’ve got some bad taste,” she mocks, a smile playing on her lips.
The siblings scowl at her in confusion. “Who the fuck are you?” the brother growls, cocking the gun at Night Claw.
She doesn’t cringe nor shy away; instead, she begins to walk right up to them as the hostages watch in awe. “The same bitch who’s gonna put you in the hospital if you don’t put the guns down and leave these fine people alone.”
The siblings once again share a look before turning back to Night Claw. “And who’s gonna stop us?” the sister snorts, glaring at the vigilante. “You?” They each cock their gun at Night Claw then, fingers on the trigger.
Before either of them can take a shot, two scarves shoot downward to tightly wrap around the guns and snatch them out of their hands. They clatter to the floor as the siblings watch on in confusion. The hostages begin to scramble, screaming and running to hide.
The brother looks up towards the ceiling, right into the very angry eyes of Aizawa. “It’s Eraserhead!” he announces, pushing his sister out of the way. “Quick, Kikiyo, run!”
Kikiyo, the black-haired sibling in the red dress, quickly vanishes from Aizawa’s eyes as she activates her quirk, leaving a plume of smoke in her wake. “Dammit,” he growls, already swinging himself down into the exhibit, right in the middle of the terrified, scrambling hostages. If the sister is the one with the smoke quirk, then that means the brother has the speed.
Speaking of the brother, he is attempting to grab his gun, but Night Claw is already on it. She immediately pounces onto the stage from her position below it, landing in a squat in front of the brother. She kicks the gun to the side before standing and pouncing onto him.
“No, you fuckin’ don’t,” she growls, wrapping her arms around his middle in an attempt to tackle him.
But as they grapple for dominance, he quickly slips from within her grasp as fast as lightning. Night Claw looks around, confused. “What the–?”
Her words are cut off when a fist suddenly flies at her temple, knocking her onto her knees. Though her helmet protects her from the blow, she can still feel the dull ache and dizziness that follows. The brother stands above her suddenly as if he materialized from thin air. “You didn’t see that coming?” he chuckles.
Night Claw growls at him, her eyes flashing dangerously as she pounces at him. Once again, he zips away before appearing behind her and shoving her down onto her stomach. “I thought cats had good senses,” he cackles, slamming his boot in the middle of the vigilante’s back. Night Claw gasps in pain, now sprawled out on her back and vulnerable.
The brother evilly grins down at her, cracking his neck. “Some hero you are,” he chides before raising his boot again, hovering over the back of Night Claw’s neck.
He would’ve definitely sprained the vigilante’s neck and possibly killed her if Aizawa hadn’t stepped in. His scarves shoot out from his palms to quickly wrap around the brother as tight as a vice. The brother tries to wriggle and worm his way out, but Aizawa squeezes tighter, causing the dark-haired boy to begin to gasp.
Aizawa steps in front of Night Claw, shielding her, and coming face to face with the brother. Right where he wants him. “Leave her alone,” he growls, his voice echoing around them as his locks of hair float above his head and his eyes glow red.
The brother continues to fight, even as Aizawa soaks up every ounce of his speed quirk from his body. Once he’s finished, the brother stops fighting, suddenly tired. That is when Aizawa releases him. He falls to the ground onto his knees and attempts to crawl away, but can’t even find the energy to move.
“M-my quirk,” he weakly says. He looks up at Aizawa in fear. “You…what did you do?”
Aizawa stands over him, retracting his scarves. “I took away your quirk since you don’t know how to use it properly.” He kneels before the boy, realizing how young he is–he’s probably in his late 20s. “What’s your name?” he firmly asks.
The boy moves to lie on his side, the small movement making him gasp in anguish. “K-Karou,” he wheezes.
Aizawa nods, pleased with his compliance. “Now, Karou,” he says lowly, “you can either follow my orders or you can–“
“Eraser!” Night Claw suddenly shouts from behind him. “Watch out!”
Aizawa turns, but not in time to see a fist shooting out of a plume of smoke. The punch is hard and powerful, sending him sprawling all the way off the stage and onto the floor. He attempts to stand up despite the pain radiating in his nose but is stopped by Kikiyo appearing before him out of the smoke, a deadly look in her purple eyes.
“So much for a seasoned hero,” she mockingly says. “You can’t even fight back.”
Aizawa growls at her and shoots his scarves toward her, wrapping around her wrists. However, she plays him the fool again when she vanishes in a smoke cloud. Aizawa stands and tries to prepare himself for the next attack, but Kikiyo has proven to be too fast and too good at what she does when she appears behind him. Aizawa grunts in pain as her heel stabs him in the lower back, causing him to fall to his knees.
Then the cold butt of a gun is pressing to the back of his head. “This is what you get for touching my brother,” she hisses.
Aizawa's heartbeat accelerates as closes his eyes, waiting to feel that bullet entire his skull and end everything for him. Suddenly, a choked gasp fills his ears, and the gun clatters to the floor. He looks behind him to see Night Claw’s arm locked around Kikiyo’s neck, cutting off her air supply.
“You’re welcome,” she huffs.
Quickly, before Kikiyo can activate her quirk again, Aizawa glares into her eyes and rummages through her body until he drains every single ounce of her quirk from her. He gives Night Claw a nod and she releases the dark-haired girl who falls to her knees, gasping and wheezing for air.
She rolls onto her side, staring up at the stage where Karou is now unconscious from his weak state. “Karou,” she moans, reaching for her brother. “Karou, wake up.”
Night Claw stares down at the girl worryingly despite her trying to kill them both. He can’t exactly blame her since both suspects are so young. “They’ll be alright,” Aizawa assures her. “My quirk only briefly erases my targets’ quirks. It’ll wear off by the time they’re behind bars.”
Like clockwork, the sound of distant police sirens fills the air. Night Claw sighs, planting her hands on her knees. “Oh, finally!” she exclaims exhaustedly. “I thought they’d never get here.”
Around them, hostages begin to leave their hiding spots from behind walls, art cases, and the stage’s curtains, stepping over Karou as they do.
Aizawa watches as several officers enter through the doors minutes later, guns drawn. One of them hollers at Kikiyo. “Put your hands on your head now!” he orders, already pulling out some handcuffs.
Kikiyo weakly lifts her hands while another officer moves towards the stage to handcuff her unconscious body. Other cops begin to file in to assist with the hostages, taking them out of the exhibit one by one.
A young officer comes up to him holding a walkie-talkie that is buzzing with activity. “We’re here with Eraserhead,” he says into the device. “Suspects have been arrested.” He pockets the device and looks at the pro worriedly. “Are you alright, Eraserhead, sir?” he questions.
Aizawa furrows his brows, confused. Why is he the only one being asked here? “Yeah, we’re…”
He turns to acknowledge Night Claw and her state, but he is shocked and slightly disappointed to find her gone. He isn’t sure how she managed to slip away among the commotion, but if she’s that quiet making her escape then she obviously knows her shit.
“I’m fine,” Aizawa replies, clearing his throat.
The officer nods. “All of the hostages are alright,” he immediately announces. “They’re receiving medical attention as needed. Everyone is alive thanks to you.” He gives Aizawa an encouraging smile as Kikiyo and Karou are dragged outside to the cop cars, soon to be locked up.
“And Night Claw,” Aizawa adds. The officer quirks a questionable brow. “Night Claw?” he parrots curiously. “Who’s that? A new hero you worked with?”
Aizawa stares up at the open window on the ceiling, the cool spring air wafting through and caressing his hair. “Something like that,” he chuckles.

Ask meme ; answered. stickup . yell at my muse to put their hands in the air. Continued from: HERE
A late night trespassing alert — it's a standard callout. Not usually the ones he gets sent on anymore. But, he is the nearest available officer. And somehow, Emilio's glad to be in the field for something trivial. Paperwork in this capacity, he doesn't mind.
It feels like he's actually doing something.
He is however, glad when the male lifts his arms. Eyes scan for threats in hand, or fingers tightening to fists; he stays alert for sudden movements.
Suddenly, he remembers how irritatingly abrupt some criminals can be. Harmless, but arrogant, and rude. In this case — crass remarks, and attitude is reminiscent of youth. He's been one — he's raised three, and he's been called to more illicit places, than he hasn't.
This one seems to want to be difficult.
Fine.
Emilio closes in on the man, hands lowering to find cuffs at his waist.
Braces for that remark.
"Original."
Rights are read — and when they are, Emilio reaches for the figure's arms, and snaps the metal around his wrists.

stickup . yell at my muse to put their hands in the air. ( Emilio )
(reverse)
Zane rolled his eyes as he heard someone shout from behind him for him to put his hands up. He hadn't even done anything major yet. He had been about to trespass, but he had barely made it to the fence.
He did as the officer asked and raised his hand. "This isn't exactly the best way to get what you want from me, officer." He shouted over his shoulder. "You could, instead, get on your knees and ask for my forgiveness because you just ruined my perfectly good fucking day." He turned to face the man. "Or maybe you're a bad boy? Because if that's the case, I'm not against delving out punishment."

loud deafening silence meme / accepting / @illuminaryxmuses :stickup . yell at my muse to put their hands in the air. (Misa and Akira.)
“Heh, like taking candy from a baby.” Joker spoke with a smirk on his face, he held a small bag that held various drugs that were being sold off the streets, it was the proof his friend in the force needed in order to rove a certain faction’s goods were nothing more than a front, now that Joker managed to steal just a little of the sample it would be enough to convince the policeman to pull off a sting..or whatever they called it. OR at least this is how he HOPED it would work considering this was done impulsively.
“It’s been awhile since we actually stole something, so it feels good when a plan comes together.” The cat spoke from under the hood he wore, clinging securely against his shoulders. However then Akira felt something touch his shoulders, it felt like a weapon, then came the words ‘PUT YOUR HANDS UP.’
The thief kept his composer and did as instructed all in the meantime his cat snuck out of his hooded jacket from the front, outside of the ‘cop’s’ viewpoint. The plan was to jump at the policeman’s face, as a scare tactic enabling Akira enough time to get away. “Oh, it’s okay it’s just Misa, your girlfriend.” The cat spoke meowed.
“I didn’t know cops came blond and hot these days.” He said teasingly, it was as if Joker was fully aware that Misa had been behind him, paying to have a feline that only you could understand. “What are you doing here anyway? I figured you’d be home.” Spoke Joker as he slowly turned to face her, his face unfazed but it was a rather normal expression for him at this point since it was rather rare to surprise him.
