I HATE THIS!
Scott and Stiles don't even know that their parents are in danger.
Like, on the one hand, that's probably a good thing, because it would be a huge distraction to them if they did know, but on the other hand, if something happens and goes horribly wrong (which it BETTER NOT, for the record), they're gonna feel so guilty about that, and neither one of them--ESPECIALLY STILES--needs any more of that guilt on their plate.
However, that being said, I do really appreciate that they both have people there helping them and keeping an eye on them. Noah has Parrish, and Melissa has (weirdly enough) Rafael. So at least neither of them are alone, and hopefully Scott and pack can get this all figured out and get rid of the Nogitsune and save them and it'll all be fine.
At least, it better be!!
Speaking of Scott and pack...I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!!
Stiles trying so hard to just tell them to let him go so that they can kill this Nogitsune, but Scott still remaining as determined as ever that letting him go is not an option, and he will still do whatever he has to do to save his best friend, because that has always been the plan, and he's not gonna stop now.
And then Derek coming in with the little nemeton box, and coming back at Void Stiles in all his bad*ssery with "I brought two". Like, I'm so freaking glad Aiden and Ethan are here, and I'm so glad we have some semblance of a plan, and god I hope this works.
And SPEAKING OF PLANS!
ISAAC I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!! THAT'S MY BABY!! WAY TO FIGURE IT OUT!!
Now we have even MORE of a plan, because Isaac and Chris can show up with silver and take out the Oni and give us an upper hand and WE CAN DO THIS!!
OUR PACK CAN DO THIS!! <3 <3
Also as a very quick aside, I do still want to give yet another shout-out to Dylan O'Brien's acting, because while the differences between Void Stiles and Real Stiles are much more obvious given that he's in two separate bodies now, the acting between the two is still INCREDIBLE. Like, he's seriously a WHOLE different person when he's Void Stiles, and it's creepy and terrifying as all heck, especially when you parallel that with how weak and hurting and DYING Real Stiles (as an aside, Lydia diving over to catch him when he gets out of the jeep is the freaking best--still Stydia all the way <3), but d*mn if I'm not impressed.
Anyways LET'S GO MCCALL PACK! LET'S FINISH THIS THING!!
(Scira & Stydia all together gif because it's my two OTPs and I love them all. <3)

Ooooooooooh!!
The mention of Mason being a genetic chimera during a discussion of Ethan and Aiden merging together gave me a thought.
What if Ethan and Aiden were originally triplets, and their triplet was absorbed into both of them and that's a part of why their Alpha form has them merging together?
I LOVE READING ALL OF YOUR TEEN WOLF THOUGHTS!!!!
But I do have some questions. You had an interesting post about Omegas and how the Feral thing was Argent Propaganda/made up by fans, but it got me thinking about Ethan and Aiden. Before the alpha pack took them in, didn't they talk about how their previous pack had them at the bottom of the hierarchy, that they were the Omegas of the pack? How does TW define Omega?
Also, what was with their mutant alpha form? Were they like, special or have special powers? If you squint hard enough, could you say that's why Peter (maybe the hales?) had a psychic link with Scott?
thank you anon. i'm glad you enjoy my posts!
the hale triskele tells us what an omega is. it's a status of werewolf just like alpha and beta are.
werewolves derive their power from their packs so an omega being less powerful than a beta is often because they are without a pack hence the lone wolf.
the idea that omegas are feral is total propaganda to me. the omega we did see in omega was a normal guy seeking out an alpha but he was vulnerable due to being alone. the argents use the idea of omegas being feral to justify hunting and killing them.
when peter resurrected himself it came at a great cost of power. he says as much to derek in battlefield.
i'm not healing as fast. coming back from the dead isn't easy, you know. i'm not as strong as i used to be. i need a pack. i need an alpha. an alpha like you. i need you as much as you need me.
i tend to take what ethan and aiden say about omegas with a grain of salt because i think their lived in experience is unfortunately shaped by the abuse they endured rather than the norm of most werewolf packs. they were the scapegoats and "bitches" of their pack because their alpha was an abusive piece of work. duecalion didn't have to do much manipulation with them because all the had to do was show the twins basic compassion and offer them a way out.
as for their alpha form -- my best guess is that since your shift reflects what you are inside and being twins was a core part of their identity they were able to merge almost like vanishing twin twin syndrome in the womb only they became one giant person. we know the writers use the concept in season 5 for mason being a genetic chimera because he absorbed his twin in the womb. so maybe their ability to merge stems from that but don't quote me on it.
peter and scott's psychic connection has long fascinated me. it's rather unique to the teen wolf mythos. if i were to offer my best guess on this one i would say peter was able to develop a more refined and powerful aspect of the pack connection. derek exhibits a less powerful form of this when he senses scott dying in raving.

Shadow of the Erdtree: Some Reflections
Well, folks, since no one asked, here are some thoughts I've had while exploring Elden Ring's add-on, Shadow of the Erdtree.
The existence of an alternate shadow realm has solidified my conviction that what Elden Ring is depicting on micro and macro scales is the phenomenology of etheric bodies -- extending even to the moon, the double of which is visible from the Moonlight Altar plateau (this is reflected by Rellana's Twin Moons spell). Each of these bodies possess a regulating function. Although each might be generally described as doppelgänger, the occult scientist Rudolf Steiner wrote of the Doppelgänger proper as its own sort of body, responsible for the tension between aspiration and temptation. It's interesting to me that this is such a major preoccupation of the game, because it indicates a layer of esoteric involvement, on the part of Elden Ring's narrative conceptualizations, that I don't think anyone in the so-called lore community has picked up on yet. The shadow realm helps explicate the otherwise inexplicable Godefroy the Grafted, too.
Various details have also strengthened my impression that the revolt against Nature we see in Elden Ring is a revolt against motility -- motility being the ultimate enemy of utopia: a human conceptualization reliant upon infinite stasis. In the base game, I think we see this revolt most profoundly in the narrative of Ranni, who first abandons her own flesh and then strives towards the realization of an Age of Stars, that "thousand year voyage under the wisdom of the Moon." Although the Seedbed Curse represents its own revolt against Nature, it remains within the organic order. Ranni's vision is of the inorganic and remote. And I don't think it's unrelated that, in certain esoteric cosmological systems, the moon stands as most distant from the Absolute.
The colors of the landscapes and sky are amazing: vivid, autumnal, and strange. These palettes have only made me dislike the game's rain effect all the more, which does not deepen the arboreal colors (as it should) but drains all surfaces of color and sets them into a depressing, bland grayscale. To say that the rain is a part of why I consider Raya Lucaria to be Elden Ring's low-point in the realm of major level design could be seen as a trivial complaint, but visual drudgery will wreck even the best schemes; and Raya Lucaria is as far as you can get from that anyway. FromSoftware has done fine with types of snow (see, e.g., the Frigid Outskirts or Painted World of Ariandel), but I think they've yet to figure out rain, among some other graphical technicalities.
The forges are among my favorite instances of discrete level design, even if, or maybe because, they tend to contain only two or three enemy types, feature no bosses, and severely scale back the level of challenge. I happened upon one yesterday that I did find a little dull, but the other two were wonderful, brief, atmospheric knots, quiet sequences of colossal architecture, that sort of evoked shades of Stonefang Tunnel from Demon's Souls. On that note, I'd call special attention to the forges' theme music. The only other piece of music from the DLC that's gotten my attention is the theme for Belurat.
Plants are People, Too.
Torrent is just... a terrible inclusion for this game. It's maybe obvious enough to not warrant being said, but -- any design decision has to be evaluated on what it contributes to the system it's been set into, and Torrent adds nothing outside of the occasional, brainless convenience. I could maybe see an argument for Torrent's presence if he had some emotionally charged narrative integration, maybe like what Shadow of the Colossus did. Without this, Torrent is nothing but a tool which perpetually problematizes the overworld's scale (a bit too big, yet no fun to traverse at high speed) and trivializes all of its gauntlets on a potential and actual level far worse than anything the Spirit Ashes could ever do. Better to me would've been if the only way to use a mount were by defeating a mounted knight without killing their horse and then sneaking up to the runaway to gain ownership of it.
I'm finding the map much more engaging than that of the base game because of how it plays with abstractions and builds anticipation through that. One part of the map, for instance, shows a bunch of trees with red leaves. Reaching this place reveals these "trees" to be enormous red flowers. Another section shows pink, purple, and orange specks. What are these? And what are the gray, finger-like lumps erupting from the mass next to it? I've also found it tough to figure out how to progress from one plane to another because of how densely stacked and knobby the continent's features are, so consulting the map has been helpful in a way I rarely experienced with the base game's.
Love how much the Ancient Ruins of Rauh resemble The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, from the explosion of verdure, to the crude, architectural naivety defining the pseudo-Gothic structures.
With Shadow of the Erdtree, I keep coming up against an unresolvable simultaneity like the one mentioned above regarding the overworld. There's a lot of good level design to be found here among the dungeons, castles, and forts, yet the abundance and enormity of it all seems to have deprived the game of significant contrasts, and those special spatial moments, which I found much easier to locate and reflect upon with, say, Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Sure, the sky-piercing spiral of Enir-Ilim is a sight to behold; but soon enough the sequences of grand staircase upon grand staircase, great bridge upon great bridge, creates a perpetual climatic grandiosity that diminishes the very effect of a climax (and I'm not even sure that Enir-Ilim is the DLC's intended final location). Anor Londo or the Nightmare of Mensis could feel special because the qualities and features of their spaces stood apart from everything else. Elden Ring, I think, has gotten itself into a predicament by trying to one-up its internal material and all prior FromSoftware games through the enormity of its scale -- and challenge. More and more, I've been craving a new project from them that resets these terms of engagement, even while enjoying the consistency of the material at hand.
That's all for now! In time maybe I'll turn these thoughts to an essay for my Substack page, perhaps with a focus on the first two points.

Semi-random scene analysis time. I honestly always liked this scene, and it took me a bit to figure out why, but I think I got it.
First off, just aesthetically, *chef's kiss*. The mussed up helmet hair looks adorable on all three of them, the outfits are on point, I'm literally just now noticing that I think the Steiners have matching backpacks (their commitment to the bit is insane and wonderful), it's all great.
Second...it's just funny. And charming. Ethan and Aiden ping-ponging the conversation between each other for a second without even letting Scott get a word in is fun, and the delivery of "This is about you being the target of demonic ninjas." "You mean the demonic ninjas who pulled swords out of their chests and kicked our asses?" "Yeah! Those demonic ninjas!" was pitch perfect. I feel like Charlie and Max don't get enough credit for how well they bounce off each other because it's assumed they would be good at it, when in actuallity I've met more than one set of identical twins who SUCK at that.
Lastly, it might be me reading too much into things, but I do think this scene is a great example of characterization through limited dialgoue and action. A line that stands out to me is "Since this is our first experience with demonic ninjas, we're thinking we should play it safe." The use of the plural pronoun is very telling to me, because I'd be willing to bet even thinking of protecting Scott was Ethan's idea, and yet he always uses the 'we' pronoun because he and Aiden are an inseperable team.
It's something I feel S3 really did right: distinctifying Ethan and Aiden into their own people without sacrificing their bond to each other. I feel like a lot of fiction that introduces twins as minor characters just makes them a unit without much distinction between them (hell, Harry Potter did it twice, for instance), but despite the Steiners literally having a merged form, the show made an effort to show how they're very different, yet still complementary people. They could be simplified to the brains and the brawn, but even that straightforward premise tells us a lot about how they've survived as long as they have and presumably a contributor to Deucalion recruiting them. It also makes Aiden's death all the more heartbreaking the more you realize how important they were to each other.
I'm getting a little off-topic here, but the point is that simple interactions like this can darastically shape a character and I feel as though that's underappreciated. Especially when it comes to already underrated characters like the Steiners.
On a last, less serious note, I appreciate that the three werewolves with miraculous healing abilities all still practice proper motorcycle safety and wear helmets, gloves, and long sleeves. Unironically love that for them.

About petrification
I think it's cool that in FFIX, the scenario let you save Blank who sacrificed himself in the Evil Forest and was petrified so the team could go on. In FFIV, you just have to wait for the Elder of Mysidia to go in Baron and break the spell Palom and Porom cast on themselves to prevent Cagnazzo to crush the team between these two walls ... But it seems it was a big frustration among players who wasted lots of items on the twins because of the possibility to use an item on them. Bye-bye, golden needles, remedies and elixirs ...
In FFIX, Garnet insists on participating to the quest to find a supersoft (in japanese and in the french version, it's a platinum needle). I think it would have been a better fix to make Blank's rescue a side quest in my opinion, but it's some cool character developpement for Garnet, Steiner and Markus, so it's fine.
Thought, now I'm thinking about this ... when you go see the Elder in the tower of prayers in Mysidia and tell him what happened to his precious apprentices ... He's sad, but he never says that he can fix this ! He says something like "they were brave", as if their fate was sealed ... Seriously, why didn't he say that he could find a solution ? ! I'm starting to wonder if he didn't deliberately procrastinate. If in fact, for him, sending the twins on an adventure and letting them in the petrified state was a way to have some vacation! Think about it: a few weeks without Palom's nonsense, without Polom's moralizing sermons, without the two five-years-old kids who are the best mages in the city and must disgust all the students with their natural abilities ... The Elder is maybe less holy than he seems. Never forget : there is always darkness where there is light !

I greet thee, thou that fillest the whole structure of the air, spirit that stretchest from heaven to earth... and to the confines of the abyss... spirit that also penetratest myself and leavest me again. Thou, the servant of the rays of the sun, that enlightenest the world... a great circular mysterious form of the universe, heavenly spirit, ethereal spirit, earthy, fiery, windy, light... dark spirit, that shinest like a star... Lord, god of the Aions... Ruler of everything.
'Zurvan Akarana' Talon Abraxas
ON ZURVAN AND SORCERY from my forthcoming book on the Black Mass.
Magic and Sorcery are two different knowledge traditions, where Sorcery by definition implies black magic, or perhaps even more red magic. It is the magic of fire, eroticism and blood, directly linked to what India is referred to as tantra and kundalini yoga. The word has etymological connections to "blood" and the color red, but is derived from the Latin sors, "fate", and is the knowledge to free oneself from the web of Fate and learn to rule over the cosmic web.
The goal of the LHP has its roots in the Persian Zurvan religion in part. Zurvan is a First Principle, the primordial creator deity who put the principles of good and evil, the twins, and Angra Mainyu and Ahura Mazda, also known as Ormudz and Ahriman (who has little to do with Rudolf Steiner's concept of Ahriman). By putting these principles in place, Mankind could choose to do good or harm. This is the manifestation of Karma, or Cosmic Law. Ordinary people are either connecting to good or evil. This is not pretending to be good, but doing good in actions. Zurvan is beyond time and space, beyond good and evil. Zurvan is the "one", the "alone, the Singularity with all multifold inside. The name Zurvan derives from the Middle Persian name derives from Avestan zruvan-, "time". Zurvan is Time but also because of that not under the control of Time. Zurvan is like Kali, or the gnostic Aeon and Abraxas, it is Sorath, also spelt Zurath, The Deity whose number is 666. When reaching the aura of Zurvan you become a True Sorcerer that is not trapped by the Web of Fate, but becomes The Spider. This is in the Draconian Tradition known as the mysterious NOXXON: Zurvan is The Ultimate Twin, but with the dualism united, and thus a form of both Thaumiel and Thagirion.
While white Magicians work with the circles of nature, the Sorcerer goes beyond black and white, into the Royal Color of Atlantis, the color Red that transcend beyond the dualism of our common world. The Sorcerer is on a a journey to the Existence free from the influence of The Zodiac, The Zodiac keep us in chains, but can be used by The Sorcerer. Red is also synonym to Gold, and this is an Golden Alchemical Art. Both the name Zurvan and Sorcery derive from words with connotations “time”, “fate” and “red” although perhaps from different etymological sources. To emphasize the connection Dragon Rouge sometime spell it Zorcery.
In the mysteries of Hellas Zurvan is associated with Saturn and Pluto, and to some extent Chronos , He lives in primordial Chaos, in Bythos ("depth or profundity", Greek βυθός), Proarkhe ("before the beginning", Greek προαρχή), the Arkhe ("the beginning", Greek ἀρχή), "Sophia" (wisdom). Another name for him is Zoe, which means “life” itself. Zurvan is the pure “Existence”, “Vital Force”, what is known as Kundalini by the Indians and the same as Vril and Odic Force. Zurvan is however not an abstract principle, but one of the most advanced, powerful Intelligences in Existence, far beyond anything we humans normally can grasp. A famous picture of Zuravn/Aeon/Abaxas is Leontocephaline, The Winged Lion-Serpent Son, the being that rules Thagirion, The Black Sun.
When I was in my twenties I woke up one night and as a physical manifestation Zurvan, or Abraxas as I knew the name, was rising above me. The wings were raised and the serpent around him was black and red and coiling around him looking at me. The serpent wound around the body seven turns and was radiating with the colors of the seven planets and chakras. The lower one was connected to wrought iron, which shows Zurvan's role as a figure who gives man knowledge and tools, like the Fallen Angels. At his feet I saw a rod of Caduceus shining with the light of the kundalini. He carried a staff and two keys, behind him he had a stone tablet that I could not read. The face was surrounded by a blinding strong light and I heard a weird sound as it came from the depth of the Universe and beyond. Zurvan spoke straight into my consciousness:
“You've seen me before, I have chosen you, but you do not remember our first meeting. You have entered my hall in the Black Sun with its 12 rays and 1001 gates. Take my staff, my keys and the stone tablet. In time, you will know how to use it.”
“The Fire that I am, burns all the debts and mistakes of Mankind, all guilt and all the burdens of Time. I am Fire! I only serve The Red Dragon, no one else. I am the key bearer and The Angel and Beast in one, and my number is 666. My appearance you know from ancient statues and drawings, but I am the Primal Picture, The Winged Lion-Serpent Son. That is the riddle to know me.”
“People must gather to fulfill the Prophecies, otherwise Mankind will end itself without my help. Then they are devoured by Angra Mainyu and lost in a Hell that is forever pain. Do good! Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you! Never forget The Golden Rule.
“Free yourself from both good and evil, from my angels Angra Mainyu and Ahura Mazda. Be free. Do good. Be a warrior. And I will show you how to use these keys and open the Door of Knowledge and the Door of Life. Go forward into The NIght and gather the lost and scattered people and help them find their True Self. Direct the path to the Black Sun and The Daemon with this staff. And follow the Sacred Law. It is The Law written by Lucifer.”
I was surrounded by a cloud of light in all colors and Zurvans words were absorbed right into my heart. I proclaimed: This is a Path with a Heart”
Zurvan was gone and the rest of the night I was in a state of half-sleep and lucid dreams about the objects Survan had handled over to me.

The Badger and The Snake: 1
Note: All the first years are fourteen and graduate Hogwarts at twenty in this, Derek is sixteen while Stiles is fourteen
Tagging: @axelwolf8109 @ozzypawsbone-princeofbarkness @lynsrosegarden @pollyna @taechnology777 @greek-freak101 @thebejeweledwatercat
Board by the talented af @ravenclaw-seeker
Eventually pairings: Stiles x Derek, Allison x Lydia, Issac x Scott, Ethan x Jackson, Aiden x Cora.
"Let me look over you" Noah Stilinski fretted over his son, Stiles was slightly uncomfortable but kept it in. To be fair, neither of them knew Stiles was a wizard until about two months ago.
"You write letters to me whenever you can okay?" Noah held his son's shoulder. "Of course dad" Stiles got surprisingly choked up. Noah hugged him close and let go after a minute.
"Give them hell kid" Stiles laughed and boarded the train.
He walked to the first compartment he saw. "Can I sit here?" "Sure" A tan skinned kid smiled politely, his companion rolling his eyes but not saying.
"I'm Stiles" "I'm Danny" Danny turned to his friend. "Jackson" The other kid rolled his eyes again. Another boy ran in, hiding in a corner. "What did you do this time McCall?" Jackson grinned.
"Might've angered the Steiner twins" He squeaked. "I told them Slytherin and Ravenclaw are for smart people and they aren't smart"
"One of this days you're gonna get punched" Danny laughed.
"Yeah yeah, I'm Scott by the way" He held out his hand to Stiles who shook it. "I hope I'm in Slytherin" Jackson said. "Ravenclaw" Danny said.
"Gryffindor" Scott sighed. "I don't really have one I want" Stiles shrugged. "That's smart, you won't be disappointed then"
Stiles giggled and even Jackson cracked a smile. "Hey Jackson" A young girl with long black hair walked in. "Hey cus" He teased.
"Stiles, Scott, Danny" He introduced quickly. "This is my cousin Cora" "Hi" She waved politely. "So Derek and Laura are definitely trying out for Quidditch this year"
"After they flew into our house twice?" Cora laughed. "I still can't believe my dad's gonna be the potions teacher" Jackson hid his face.
"Peter Hale?" Scott tilted his head. "Uh yeah" "Damn dude"
"Am I supposed to know this? I'm technically muggle born" Stiles muttered. "The rest of our family died in a house fire when we were babies, my dad and cousins survived, it was rumored that a rival wizarding family did it" Jackson said bitterly.
-----
"What if I don't get sorted" Scott whined nervously. "Maybe they'll keep you because of pity" Danny joked. "Ha ha"
Stiles couldn't hear anything, not the headmaster who Jackson was glaring at, not the fricking hat singing.
"Allison Argent!" A teacher called out. Jackson looked like he was about to throw something, Cora glared. Two teens from the Slytherin table looked away like she was beneath them, a teacher clenched his jaw but manages to look unbothered.
"Ravenclaw!" The hat yelled out. "That was awkward" Scott said.
"Cora Hale!" Cora took a deep breath. "Slytherin!" She whooped and ran to her brother and sister, who Stiles deduced were Derek and Laura.
"Isaac Lahley!" A young boy with curly blonde hair but too pale skin walked up shaking. "Gryffindor!"
"Lydia Martin!" A girl with strawberry blond hair skipped forward with confidence. "Slytherin!"
"Danny Māhealani" Danny patted Jackson on the back. "Slytherin!" "Aw man"
"Scott McCall!" Scott squeezed Stiles' arm, Stiles squeezed back
"Gryffindor!" Scott almost ran to the table with the Sorting hat on, the Slytherin teen boy that Stiles saw earlier, Derek, covered his mouth to keep from laughing.
"Aiden Steiner!" Aiden shoved past Stiles. "Ravenclaw!" "Wait what?" Aiden's twin said scandalized. "That's what happens when you act like a fool" Jackson whispered to Stiles who laughed.
"Ethan Steiner!" Ethan looked absolutely miserable. "Slytherin!" "They can separate twins?" "I guess"
"Stiles Stilinski!" Stiles was happy that it apparently didn't show his full name. 'Hmm, you're definitely loyal and smart, let us see' The hat said in Stiles' head. "Better be, Hufflepuff!" Stiles went to the table that was clapping for him.
Scott gave him a thumbs up and a grin. "Jackson Whittemore!" "Slytherin!" Peter Hale smiled genuinely and clapped for his son.
"I'm Kira!" The prefect sitting by Stiles shook his hand. "This is...wow" He grinned at all the food. "The head of house is my mom"
"That's so cool!" Stiles grinned.
Allison Argent was laughing with a few other Ravenclaws, Scott was arm wrestling with another Gryffindor, and Jackson and Danny were flirting with a couple of Slytherins.
------
"Boys dorm is here, you'll have to room with Boyd and Liam" Kira said. Stiles was looking around the Hufflepuff common room in awe. "I love plants" He grinned. Kira smiled fondly.
"Yo" Boyd waved from his bed, Liam looked at Stiles with a small glare. "Hi" Stiles waved.
"We're second years, you're our only first year so..." Liam mumbled. "He's just cranky because he wants to cuddle with his boyfriend from Gryffindor. I still says Theo is crazy enough to be a snake!"
"Shut your face" Stiles laughed and sat on his bed, taping a picture of his dad onto the headboard.
Day one of Hogwarts had done well, hopefully the next months did too.

WHOMST THE?
hi this is my blog i post shit about Alus Beauregard who is a RP character of mine on Balmung/Crystal Datacenter. In-game I am a casual rapidfire RPer, and out of it I do big long paragraph shit on discord and occasionally here as short character flesh-out stories about him. what is rapidfire?? it means I type normally as i would in any chat room but i'm doing it in-character, active stream-of-conciousness style. no waiting for turns. typos i play off as accidentally slurred speech. it feels more realistic and fun to me. im cool w both styles of RPing tho thumbsupemoji
WHO IS ALUS THO??? (it's pronounced 'ah-loose' btw)
he's one of "Hydaelyn's chosen", meaning he has been gifted with The Echo, and due to his chosen life in war that makes him canonically what the game calls "a warrior of light". he is not the ffxiv protag.
a summary?? he's an orphan (original i know!!!!!!!) who lost his sole parental figure during dalamud's fall (that pre-ARR calamity). his father used to read him old storybooks abt charming prince knights in shining armor saving the day and it became super important to alus growing up. after he was old enough he decided Frick It, I'm Going To Devote My Life To Becoming Literally That and that pretty much defines his entire personality and aesthetics tbh. he is "stereotypical 70s manga victorian-style shoujo prince" to his core.
he's dumb and young and learning that war is hell and simplistic good-vs-evil morality isn't really a thing in real life and a lot of my writing is about him deciding whether or not to drop his built facade or not. he is very determined to be a Good Boy and i enjoy getting into mature RP themes abt him struggling to stay that way. big fictional character insps for Alus is Vash The Stampede from Trigun, Adelbert Steiner from Final Fantasy IX, and Judge Harry T. Stone from Night Court.
this blog is called "thebeauregardbros" bc he has a twin brother he does most of his adventuring with. you might occasionally see me mention "arc", that's him.
[perpetually unfinished carrd] [pinterest if you're nasty]
OK. but what about you?

These are MASSACRES.
Oh my god...
This is AWFUL.
He's literally killing everyone, for literally no reason.
Nurses, doctors, patients...I don't think I want to know what's gonna happen at the Sheriff's station...
Why do the enemies always insist on going after our kids' parents?? SO NOT COOL!!
I HATE THIS!!
And then Isaac and Chris, oh my god...
That was so heartwarming, and yet so heart-breaking at the same time, and I just...
"I'll be alright. I've done this before. I have a capacity and...an ability to compartmentalize my emotions." "I don't."
And then the way he just breaks down, and Chris just holds him, and Chris is fighting everything in him that wants to break down, because he can't, and instead, he's turning it into that anger and vengeance that we need to finally kill this f*cking thing and avenge his daughter's death.
Because F*CK!! THIS!!
That said...
THAT WHOLE SCENE WITH DEREK AND THE TWINS!
LET'S!
F*CKING!
GO!!
"I think Danny won't believe you...and Lydia would NEVER run and hide." "Because of Stiles?" "Because of Scott!"
And the way he just lays into them, because he's RIGHT. The thing that the twins have never been able to understand, and the thing that's stopped them from getting into his pack this whole time, is that loyalty not just to Scott, but to his CAUSE, and to his beliefs.
And yes, it's that loyalty and that cause that ultimately got Allison killed, but it's that same loyalty. and cause that made her say it was okay, because she was doing it because they were SAVING THEIR BEST FRIENDS, and that is ALL that has EVER mattered, to any of them.
That friendship loyalty is what drives that pack, and it's what will continue to drive it and will never stop. Even when the fight seems lost, and even when they lose people, they will never stop fighting, because they are always, ALWAYS, fighting for each other.
So if you wanna join, get on board and fight for your friends.
Because that is the number one rule of the McCall pack.
And it doesn't stop now.
Let's go kill a Nogitsune.
And let's save Stiles.
(Moment of silence for this scene because my heart is f*cking shattering.)
