i met a ghost today, 

a ghost that i:

1. probably did not notice following me around in the first place

or

2.  have rather decided to turn the other cheek on out of rooted memories.

either way, i was startled.

i called up my best friend to discuss said-ghost and she said that she's seen him around too; and it's funny, because, we both decided that sometimes we forget he's even there to haunt us in the first place.

he was familiar and felt within reach. although, i felt the clouds starting to darken when i realized that dead bodies are supposed to be cold, not warm.

seeing him struck a minor chord in my throat, knocking the wind out of my chest amidst a lowly afternoon at work. i say it was a minor chord, but i remember hearing a symphony reckoning my chest and ringing through my ears once i realized it was a ghost.

(This mostly feels like an online diary entry, so forgive the spillage of thoughts that could become a jumbled rambling mess.)

Still speaking as somebody who's still fairly new to the RWBY fandom and still learning new things every day via RWBYtwt and here on RWBYtumblr, and just talking with fans who've been with the show for as long as its been airing, it sometimes feels like I've already been here for years.

It's incredible how I learn how entirely toxic and immature the fandom chooses to be than just grow up and accept the flaws that their favourite show has. Even the ugliest flaws that they refuse to fix and has hindered them for years.

To be honest, I've always been a critical person. Even for shows that I absolutely love without question, I won't blind myself to the flaws they have. I don't like to be treated like I'm an idiot, so I assume shows would also not want to treat their viewers like they're idiots that can't pinpoint the problems in the writing or animation.

But what I may say is that the biggest reason why I even started this RWDE Tumblr is because of Twiins and her sister, Critter. I really loved hearing their opinions on episodes, what could be fixed and their video essays on what to do/what not to do in writing. It hits different when you're hearing it from people who've been watching RWBY from the very beginning. It's like they're veterans and I'm just this peewee still trying to figure out how the hell aura works.

Actually, I've always been a fan of people who make content that involves looking into TV shows with a critical eye. It makes me think about how I should look at scenes and characters more closely and familiarize myself with how they should've/shouldn't have behaved or how a scene was bad.

I was so sad to see Twiins leave, but I really hope she's happier doing what she likes now without the fandom leeching on her. I can't explain how disappointed I felt when I saw the screencaps of fans being dickheads to her, and even more disappointed to see how bigger RWBY content creators behave. It really did cement into my mind that it's all just some tightknit bro-club that likes to harass people who criticize them for anything they do. It left a bad taste in my mouth at how childish that the adult fans can be. I can understand how frustrating the tweeny fans can be when they have their keyboards and tapping away hate, but I can't find it in myself to be angry at them. Annoyed, but they're stupid kids with stupid motives, they'll grow up and realize how stupid that was. I hope.

(And anyway, these bigger content creators that love RWBY should be putting a better influence on how to behave and how not to be such a toxic bunch to anybody who disagrees. Accept that flaws exist in the show and it's OK to point them out when you feel unhappy with them. It doesn't mean you hate the show - you do like the show, but you just happen to have a big brain and can point out something's wrong in the writing. That's how the world spins.)

Even if this behaviour hasn't been hitting me, I have seen this very behaviour elsewhere. Especially in Twitter - oh how twitter dot com can be the actual cesspool of hatred. It makes Tumblr look angelic.

It's very snake-like on Twitter, as though you should be more than careful to not wake the beast, or else you'll be slammed and eaten up, only to be spat out and left in a twisty mess of "why?" And the fans act fast - a little too fast. With how fast they react to "bad takes" from people who were displeased with things in the show, it did numbers in my head at how the fanbase has truly shrunk in popularity. If it's that easy to find people you hate, then well, I guess this show really is bleeding out like a stuck pig, and the blood is of the fans that leave as quick as they came.

But still, even if the popularity shrunk, it still has the most rabid ones still around, and they rear their little heads more than usual. A mean girls club, the frat club that requires your pain for their pleasure. That seemed to be what the fanbase was towards Twiins and Critter. Just waiting for the next person or existing person to say ONE MORE bad thing about RWBY, and suddenly it's hunting season.

And just to throw in here - even as I was watching RWBY for the first time without context, yes my brain was turned off as I watched the volumes. And I still felt everything frying in my head because nothing was flowing correctly in the episodes and my brain went ouch. I can legit forgive the shit and turn my brain off for the show if anything was fluent and not so stupidly written. But no, I had to turn my brain back on. Because I don't like being treated like an idiot.

I hope nothing but the best for Twiins, and I will still support her and her sister. They both deserve better and deserve the best pizza they've ever had with new or current shows they watch.

Anyways, I am glad that the encouragement from these YT critics gave me the courage to do my own RWDE blog. It's awesome to meet new people who also feel the same, and I love reading/listen to hot takes or new things I'm still opened to learning.

And yeah, the news of RT selling out made me laugh, but it still sucks knowing they'd eventually lose.

You and hetty would take turns cleaning and taking care of your foster mother, changing and feeding her.

Hetty was often in a tense mood, she was rewriting her diaries and tweaking them whilst making idle conversation with mother- or at least attempting too.

Jem would come in at 5:00 o’clock and eat with you three and then chat away with hetty about their childhood.

When living there in the cottage before mothers illness and fathers death, you spent most of your time with Gideon. Reading or playing mindless games.

“I think you should write to him y/n.” janet said, scrubbing away at the dishes with you

“but its been so long, the last time i saw him was when i was 10, it was only for a moment. Who knows what he thinks of me!” you said straightening your back looking at janet.

“still, i doubt he would of forgotten you. You two were stuck together like glue, for heavens sake just write!” she laughed gently tapping your forehead.

you just shook your head, she plucked out her sowing kit deciding to start some of her projects, whilst waiting on you to finish your chores.

“y/n! help me lift mother up! im going to place her on the step whilst we clean!” hetty cried from the top floor of the cottage.

“coming!” you called putting down away the last plate, you looked at janet only for her to usher you away, quickly walking to hetty to help. Once she was sat comfortably, you and hetty got started on the chores.

You both started laughing away at each others jokes and talking about memories and hettys plans.

“Gi-gi-gi-gi!” Mother started crying out, hetty was the first to stand, knocking over her bucket, she stopped to wring out water of her dress as you carefully avoided the spillage and headed out to the step.

“oh for goodness sake! i’m coming mother!” hetty called racing out still holding a broom.

“oh dear..” you muttered going outside.

There stood a tall wounded man. His hair was messy, he was lanky with an eyepatch and scars on the left side of his face. He looked exhausted.

hetty raised her broom furiously batting at the man with her broom letting out cries or rage. you were quickly trying to subside hettys rage and grasping at her hands to get the broom.

“Gi! gi-gideon!” your foster mother Cried out loudly clearly trying to stop hetty. hetty froze staring at the man. “Gideon!” hetty said dropping the broom and throwing her arms around him.

he let out a grunt, gently patting hettys arms. He looked over at you, blinking with a ghost of a smile on his lips.

Hetty removed her arms and quickly pulled him and mother inside, making tea and questioning him. The only response she could get was a grunt.

Gazing softly at gideon, you made your way over, smiling. His eye, quickly met yours, a glimmer seemed to appear in it but it vanished as he looked away. Carefully and slowly you delicately wrapped your arms around his torso. He flinched but didn’t push you away. He looked content for a moment.

“Oh gid! i can not believe you are back! you must come in! Mothers been trying to say your name all this time! But poor old father, gid-” “hetty give him a moment!” you scolded removing one arm to swat at her. She moved away, sticking her tongue out. “i’ll let one of the boys know to tell Jem! he’ll be so happy to see you!” She excitedly exclaimed. Quickly walking out, her skirt swaying.

Mother seemed to want gideons attention, starting her gideon chant again. He looked at you again, before reaching for mother. She gently tried to caress his face, tears welling in her eyes. “oh gid…” you gently said walking into the house, you had to let janet know.

She seemed almost suprised, but understood, she greeted Gideon, making small talk before leaving. Watching her disappear over the hill, you saw Jems broad figure come tumbling down.

That evening, you all (besides mother) sat in the living room, Hetty made most of the conversation, you and jem only replying when the timing was right. Gideon stayed quiet though. His face had a hardened look. this wasn’t the boy you grew up with. He was now a young man, how could you not have not known it would’ve happened eventually.

Gideon soon joined the conversation, talking about his past, the war, and how he lost his eye due to hettys harassment. The thoughts of it rushed to your head. How cruel was this world truly? Gideon was only young when he left, yet this is what became of him.

Hetty and jem soon turned in, deciding they’d need the rest for tomorrow. Gideon and you however chose to stay awake a while longer.

“gideon, how about going on a walk? maybe through out the town?” you asked dusting off your skirt as you stood up. Gideons eyes snapped up, he nodded letting out a quiet yes.

i guess that’s unkind to my siblings. but it feels... wrong. calling them mortals. too distanced. but, y’know. non-celestial beings. that’s probably the best way to phrase it.

anyway. i’ve been hanging out with them again. it’s odd. there was so much about life that i had... forgotten. i’ve been a silent observer, a messenger for so long that i forgot what it was to be included.

talitha dragged me to have dinner with them tonight, and it was. nice. nice being treated like one of them. nice being treated like... a person. not a nameless thing to fear. not a bringer of death. someone who needs worship or offerings. i felt normal again.

i haven’t felt normal in so long. i... am not looking forward to this being over. that probably sounds bad. i mean, i am looking forward to fate no longer being an issue and kai’os being gone, but. i’m not looking forward to being... not alone, per se, ‘cause i have dad & the others, but. i’m not looking forward to going back to being the untouchable reaper. or dealing with the fact that fate’s absence is going to leave a big, gaping hole.

Weekly cleaning using soapy water inside the refrigerator before restocks. Firstly, remove all the food particles with soft tissue. Use a soft cloth to avoid scratches while cleaning the outer body part. Clean vegetable box, Freezer area, ice trays and diary trays with the mild soap solution and warm water. Microwave oven

Dishwasher

 Empty and remove the bottom rack and silverware holder. Clean the inside with a solution of water and vinegar, can also add some liquid soap. Run your garburator (garbage disposal) prior to running the dishwasher to help clear the pipes.   

 Other things like Chimney exhaust fans and drainage pipes should also be cleaned twice in a year depending on your usage to remove the deposits and smooth functioning.

“No, no, that’s just more books on tactics…yeah, actually, let’s take that one too.”

Morgan stuffed another book into the increasingly suspicious looking backpack as Lilly sat by her ankles, staring up in slight bafflement. She let out a groan, hanging her head back as she slammed the drawer shut and gave her pack an experimental hoist.

“Oh, wow, that is heavier than I thought, even with the glitter gone. And I didn’t even find her dream diary - wait, did she say she did have one or that she didn’t?”

A confused mewl was the only thing that answered as Morgan picked up the bag properly with a sigh. “Well this was a complete waste of timeeeeep.”

The tactician-in-training stopped as she saw her aunt standing in the door, hands on her hips. Nervously, she cleared her throat and sheepishly shuffled her feet.

“Uuuuuuh-”

Suddenly the drawer she’d just closed burst open in a shower of red and green glitter, causing her cat to dash screeching out of the room. Morgan winced and, as if to make the situation worse, the bottom of her bag suddenly collapsed and dropped the twelve tomes she’d ‘borrowed’ all over the floor. The silence was enough to practically hear Morgan’s brain trying to figure out a solution to this mess, and completely and utterly failing.

“…Sigurd did it?”

     Someone trying to be sneaky really ought learn not to make so much noise.

     And not to overstuff their traps. Amateur mistake, but... that’s what Morgan is - for now. She catches herself up in today’s exercise. Shoulders flinch at the surprise burst, and eyes widen (the disorienting flicker-shine of sparkles dazzling to the ground not being the least reason) before narrowing at the girl even harder. Robin doesn’t even turn to watch the cat run away. 

     Honestly, at least her tomes wouldn’t be taken now, even if she’ll have to clean them and her desk up of all spillage. It’s not nearly as bad as when Inigo starts resenting her magic lessons and throws birdseed all over her tent. Those times, she comes back to half her stash of baubles stolen by crows... 

     Still, she stares the intruder down. It’s almost insulting how any renowned tactician’s bloodline could produce a logic so very opposite of convincing. If she’s going to lie, at least sound intelligent enough to come up with some sort of tie between situation and character of the accused. Her voice snips as tough and flat as any backhand slap.

     “...Try again.”

The Vampire Diaries...

People don’t understand my love and appreciation for this series. It’s far greater than you would ever think possible… Not only did I continuouslly stand by it, watching each week for 8 entire years, I read all 13 novels in the book series (despite it being substantially different from the show). This story has captivated me since 2009…the infamous love triangle, the immense development of characters, even all the blood spillage…yesterday was the end of an era for me. No longer will I wonder whats happening next episode on TVD. Because I know what happens. I’ll know forever…peace is found amongst each character, despite their decade of pain… And the same goes for me. I have peace in knowing each character came full circle, and got the endings they so rightfully deserved. TVD…you are forever in my heart ❤❤❤ Gone but not forgotten ❤❤❤
