Sigh. Okay, so Phoenix plays the piano very badly, right? And it's canon that Edgeworth used to play the piano but stopped for years. Yadda yadda, fill in the blanks, Edgeworth taught Phoenix to play the piano but did so extremely poorly (while also refusing to accept that he forgot most of what he'd learnt) until it culminated in him teaching Phoenix to play one (1) song properly for his job interview and then fucking off to Europe while Phoenix slowly learnt (at his job) that Edgeworth knew jackshit about everything else he was talking about.

Congratulations Tumblr, you get to see my Kawoshin before my Instagram.
I honestly have a special place for Kaworu and Shinji in my heart. If Kaworu had to be a song I believe he would be Exist for love by AURORA. I think the whole song is so perfect for these two.
The music sheet in the back is Beethoven’s Ode to joy, because I love to make myself suffer.
Anyways, here are two boys who just love and love and love.
Happy International Gay Pride day.
*Commissions are open btw

I have recently started learning mandarin by myself since my school doesn’t offer any classes, I was wondering if you have any tips for studying or websites that I could use?
Hi there, sorry I took so long to answer this because this answer took me a really long time to compile 😂 First of all, great to know you are learning Chinese! Actually Mandarin is just a spoken form of Chinese, but I assume you are planning to learn how to read and write Chinese as well :D I’ve received quite a few questions about learning Chinese ever since I started this blog, so I thought I should write a detailed answer about this.
LONG ANSWER AHEAD
Before you start, do note there are actually two sets of (overlapping) Chinese characters out there,
1. Traditional Chinese characters (used in Taiwan and Hong Kong)
2. Simplified Chinese characters (used in Mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia).
I’m from Singapore so I learned simplified Chinese, I can generally read traditional Chinese as well though I have great difficulty writing them because I’m too used to simplified characters 😂😂 You don’t have to learn both, but it’s good to know the difference since you will probably encounter both types of characters at some point when you are studying Chinese/ consuming Chinese entertainment.
I definitely recommend learning Hanyu pinyin to help with the pronunciation of the words, but do note that pinyin is neither the Chinese alphabet nor meant to be a substitute for Chinese characters. There is no alphabet for Chinese… we do have Chinese radicals (further explained here) which is not really an alphabet but more like components of a character 🤔 For the most part, to learn Chinese characters you have to memorise them. Maybe you can set yourself a goal of memorising a few characters a day to kickstart the process, actually if possible I would recommend getting a Chinese copy book/app like this one:
Writing the characters over and over is the best way to remember the words imo, also this will help you practise your handwriting!
A good dictionary is a must, for Chinese-English dictionaries the best one I have tried so far is the app Pleco. I used to have this book of 成语 (Chinese idioms) and 俗语 (Chinese sayings) as well that I had to memorise for school, but I think you can just learn them online (found some here) if you want :D You should probably wait till your Chinese reaches intermediate~advanced level before starting on those though, if not the whole thing might be kind of confusing.
For websites, I have never tried learning Chinese online before so I don’t have first-hand experience of any of the online Chinese learning sites, but I did find this list of online resources for learning Chinese which is really comprehensive. it covers sites and apps for everything from reading and writing Chinese characters to all types of podcasts. Actually you know what, there are more resources available online than I thought, there are even apps for you to connect to native Chinese speakers (I didn’t even know those existed until I wrote this answer) 👀 That list of sites and apps pretty much covers every aspect of learning Chinese so I don’t have much else to add tbh 😂😂 Just gonna recommend some entertainment options that will hopefully make your learning process more enjoyable!
(Below are mostly my personal song/ show/ manhua recommendations)
For songs there are really way too many so it’s kind of hard to draw up a list, maybe you can start with the songs of some of the more famous artistes like Jay Chou, A-mei, Eason Chan, Faye Wong, Mayday, Stefani Sun, Jam Hsiao… You can search for Mandopop playlists on Spotify for a start! I’m personally quite fond of 逃跑计划, Lala Hsu and 陈粒’s songs.
Also randomly recommending 夜空中最亮的星 and 平凡之路 because they are my favourite songs (夜空中最亮的星 almost made me cry the first time I heard it, even now after listening to it for so many times it still gives me the same feeling 👵🏻).
For dramas my favourite drama by far is Nirvana in Fire (琅琊榜), which imo is the best drama I’ve ever watched. My sister and I were obsessed with this show and recommended it to all our friends, it was so good!!
(side note I think Hu Ge’s face is especially suited for historical dramas)
Some other dramas I liked were Ode to Joy, The Fierce wife (Taiwanese) and The Legend of Zhen Huan, Nirvana in Fire Season 2 was also just released this year! My friend recommends Tens Miles of Peach Blossoms which she said made her cry a lot, and I think Yang Mi’s latest drama The Negotiator is quite popular too though I haven’t watched it yet. I actually don’t have a lot of dramas to recommend because I don’t really watch them 😂😂 But coming from someone who don’t particularly like watching dramas, Nirvana in Fire is really so freaking good…
Anyway besides songs and dramas, my other recommendations are 1) Web novels and 2) Manhua.
I highly recommend reading web novels (I mostly read on them on qidian), the Chinese web novel community is seriously gigantic and I’ve honestly only explored a very very very tiny fraction of their offerings because there are so many popular web novels out there. Btw even if you can’t read Chinese there are English sites (webnovel l wuxiaworld) where you can read the Chinese web novels translated into English for free, so you can enjoy them regardless of your Chinese abilities :D One well-known novel on both the English and Chinese site is The King’s Avatar (全职高手), which was made into a gorgeous Chinese anime last year
First episode here!
Btw if you download the qidian app they have this audio book function that I thought was pretty handy, you can listen to your favourite novels being read to you ->
(Click 听书 and it will lead to the audio)
(One of my favourite novels 惊悚乐园/Thriller Paradise!)
For manhua I mostly read my manhua on kuaikanmanhua, 腾讯动漫 and occasionally dongmanmanhua. I made a short list of BL recommendations previously here, some other non-BL manhua I’m currently following are:
DOLO命运胶囊 (the art for this series is really beautiful)
(This one is Korean and really popular, it’s translated into English as well under the title Lookism but personally I prefer the Chinese translation)
A friend of mine recommended Duoluo Dalu (novel here) and Battle Through The Heavens (novel here) which I haven’t read yet, but if I’m not wrong both series are popular 👀
That’s all I can think of for now! Kind of off topic but from the perspective of an overseas Chinese I think Mainland Chinese entertainment have improved a lot in recent years. When I was young I could only remember a few shows from China like 还珠格格, Journey to the West, and Return of the Condor Heroes, and my own childhood was dominated by Japanese manga and Taiwanese Mandopop/ idol dramas (that’s how I learned to read traditional Chinese lol). But now there is an increasing number of quality productions from China, which is great for someone like me who is fond of Chinese entertainment (sadly Singapore’s Chinese entertainment scene is pretty lacking and Hong Kong and Taiwan’s entertainment industry have been declining, Singapore is currently pretty much dominated by Kpop and K-dramas). Hopefully Chinese entertainment will continue to get better and better in the near future ^^
In any case this list is non-exhaustive, but my answer is getting way too long so I’ll just stop here. I’ll add any future recommendations under the recs tag, hope this helps!

My UK/Macbeth trip
Well, I’ve been back for nearly a week, and still having trouble with what to say here! I’ve spent some time writing up everything I can think of, stream-of-consciousness style, with a hefty side of feelingsbombs and what-ifs that I’ll spare the general public. But I feel a need share the general story and some of the feelings about this trip. This trip that is one of the most meaningful things that I’ve ever done. Basically, all week, this has been me:
Much more under the cut!
Getting to meet and spend time with fandom friends (official fandom meeting numbers 2, 3, and 4!) - I can’t say enough about how special it was. I spent so much time laughing and feeling such joy in being understood, and talking about fandom things out loud (SO WEIRD BUT COOL). I’m not going to talk in detail here about friends, so that each friend can decide how much they want to write publicly about it, and will try to keep it to my pov only. (We’ll see how this works, haha!) Suffice to say:
So, our first night in Stratford-Upon-Avon, we got to do this:
This event was the surprise of the trip! We had no idea what the format would be, and it turned out to be an hour and a half of CE and Niamh in a small event room trading off reading thematic poems, sometimes performing to each other, like the section that was all about romantic and erotic poetry (oh.. yes...as in, one reading was from Song of Solomon). We were so close to them, I just.....a;dskjfa;sdjkf.
My major impression, as silly as this sounds, of the entire time was: he looks so much like himself. (Oh, and this is when we learned that the beard was going to be gone for our Macbeth night 👍👍👍 I do love all of his looks, but it’s true I have my certain faves.) All the posture and expressions we know so well - THAT FACE - it was happening right in front of my eyes. (And the hands.....let me sing an ode to hands and forearms....) I had to deliberately *not* stare at him when Niamh was reading, because it was so interesting watching him watch her. He is SO intensely supportive, and that was our first glimpse of this incredible working relationship - more on that later! The vibe of the room was not conducive to taking pictures, so I only got a few not-great snaps of him walking in and out. :P But that was enough for a visual of the outfit he had on, which was a vibrant blue polo shirt.
(Not-great photo with as much light boosting as I could get out of it : they were alternately sitting and standing at those chairs, sometimes turning to each other)
My fan-moment with him 😍 was after the reading and happened like this: I heard voices down the back stairs and grabbed my friend like “let’s go!” Someone was asking for an autograph for a child, because I heard Chris say, “I’ll sign it from the Doctor.” We got to the bottom of the stairwell and I just stopped to see what might unfold, and heard him tell two different people that he had to leave because his children were waiting for him (this was Father’s Day, btw). It was extremely important to me not to have any encounter with him be in any way negative for him, so I knew I wasn’t going to get pushy after hearing that. So, we step even with him (and I could go on for paragraphs about what standing next to him is like....) and he kind of stepped aside for us and we walked through the door together-ish, and in the process he smiled at me, one of his full real smiles, and honestly, what else would I ever need. :P:P
It’s funny there are things about this moment that I am super tunnel vision about, and also some I’m unclear on, like the exact movements that got us out the door. We ended up walking the same way as him, on the other side of the street, and I don’t know how to judge how much is just me or if he really is that magnetic that he shines like a beacon everywhere he goes :P But that blue shirt was like a siren song as we found ourselves a pub to decompress in and he passed us twice. :D
I loved Stratford and could spend another entire week there. Our B&B was a delight, and the RSC tour was amazing:
(the scene of the siren song)
(same shrubbery?)
But then comes showtime, the raison d'être. From the moment I heard about Chris playing Macbeth, my expectations couldn’t help but be through the roof, and it was all that and more.
I kept up a running joke about “robust” with the group, but that’s really not a joke - he really was every possible synonym for that word, the most viscerally masculine thing I’ve ever experienced. It’s more than I can describe. First of all, we were so close that he was right in front of us a lot of the time, including lying on the stage at basically eye-level. I can’t get over how brightly blue his eyes appeared from across the stage, and with a moment of eye contact that those of us in the front rows can be lucky enough to get...#shook. There was some discussion about how the lack of beard would work for the character of Macbeth after all the previews and rehearsal footage and all that we’ve seen, and speaking only for myself, it did not detract from the ruggedness in any way. Like, there’s no way for him to even be less rugged, I don’t think! :P He had about a 2-day scruff, which might as well have been sent from my guardian angels as a special gift to me personally. I was pretty blown away by the fight scene between Macbeth and Macduff, speaking of robust, including the fact that he BIT Macduff on the back. O.o
Then there’s the relationship and, holy shit, to explain how moved I was by this, I will put it in the most serious fandom terms: the chemistry between the Macbeths was strong enough that it made me forget my own ship for a night. I wanted so much more of it. We all know how good he is at conveying passion, and oh my lord, the way he was always looking at her with open desire, or craving of approval, or begging for absolution, it made my entire LIFE. (Also I’m so happy that the lack of beard made the kiss very easy for me to see :D:D:D:D #blessed #i know what I’m about son).
I cannot say enough good things about Niamh - she was incredible, both in the poetry readings and in the show. In the post-show talk, she mentioned her age, 58, and how being in post-childbearing years affected the characterization of Lady Macbeth, and I have to say, she is inspirational as an older woman exuding sexuality and passion. I did not know of her at all before this, and no photos really prepared me for her stage presence.
And that brings us to the post-show talk, which was scheduled from the beginning and we chose deliberately. Unfortunately, it never occurred to us that Chris would skip it, and that is how I ended up missing him at the stage door. There was great stuff in there from the rest of the cast and production team. (Our show night was one with integrated British Sign Language - that could be an entire other post.) In hindsight, wish I’d slipped out to the door, but
...that’s how it happened. I told Fleur I believe it is a sign from the universe that she and I are meant to meet him together one day, so just putting that out into the universe. 😉 There was already so much kismet in this visit, and I definitely wouldn’t trade all the events of poetry night for a stage door picture. We did get to meet a few others from the show, including Niamh - so we got to tell her how much we loved the show and the poetry night (and she rode off on a bicycle - so adorable).
We left the next morning for Cardiff and shooting locations. I plan to do some posts just for fun with location pictures we took side-by-side with screenshots. It won’t be as good as the sceneframing ladies do, but I’m looking forward to seeing what I can match up. A teaser:
The very last thing we did was spend an evening in London on the London Eye and surrounding South Bank area. (A rare treat for an American fic writer - to visit a space I wrote into a story. :P Turns out I wasn’t perfect, but not too bad, haha.)
Well, this is already so long, but I could fill pages with details. I’m happy to chat more about it in groupwatches or im. I owe so much to @ciara-jane from the initial “let’s do this” inspiration that made me start to dream and start to make the life plans and changes that made it made it all possible. I’d have been (literally) lost without you! <3 😘
(Pls no reblogs, pics are mine except for the silly gifs)

Well, BtoB did their own song and it was different and awesome tbh, then Ateez also did their own song, SF9 was next doing Move by Taemin and for the last TBZ did Monster by EXO.
For the raking SKZ got first place for the experts followed by SF9, 3-TBZ, 4-BtoB, 5- IKON and Ateez the last.
Now the experts evaluation + autoevaluation:
1. Sf9
2. SKZ
3. BtoB
4. TBZ
5. IKON
6. Ateez
PD: my opinion that is the most irrelevant thing in the world but you kinda asked why so yeah lol
Ateez was my least liked stage for this round and it's weird because they were my favourite in round 1, even above SKZ (i'm a Stay btw). Why? they did good, of course, i respect a lot that they decided to do their own song and specificaly Answer for Atiny, that was sweet but overall i felt the whole performance really messy. The first half i don't remember almost anything, then San jumped over somone but i feel like it wasn't the moment for it and it didn't have an impact, then Hoongjoong was blindfolded but...ok, then it cuts to the part that i really liked that was their colab with La Poem, it was fine but then...omg i'm sorry for this but putting the Ode to Joy over electronic music and them dancing just no, i don't know if it is because i studied music for 6 years and i'm kinda picky with this things but nope. Hongjoong did that for round 1 too with Dvorak but it worked really good in my opinion, Bang Chan mixed Mozart's Symphony no 40 for their round one but it was well mixed, actually not a lot of people realized it was there lol but in this one i felt like it was out of nowhere and it was too much in the face(? It was a lot, i know Ateez are very extra but this time it was a no for me :( i'm happy Atinys liked it tho :)
Okay. Okay. I literally get most of my news on here about Stray Kids, so I was curious why some people were getting upset (there's like one person I saw who was mad about the outcome). I haven't watched any of Ateez's performances since I'm super new into k-pop and really just stanning Stray Kids until I'm comfy enough to branch out, but i enjoyed them with the Mayfly performances, so I was just curious. I see another message, so I'll answer that too.

I have feelings about the ode to joy and im going to dump them on you
At the time i am writing this part i have suffered through twenty two (22) hours of “ode to joy” repeated in my brains so you are gonna suffer with me now. Srsly, ask @madgronkish i kinda lost it around noon.. Anyways. First thought when i heard it was literally" theyre not going to fucking reunite them to THAT SONG??!?!“ Whilst i was wrong about sherlock driving the car…they still did that. Thanks mofftiss.
Ok now down to business. First off, DISCLAIMER, i am in no way qualified to do this? I dont know much about music and have like half an experience at writing meta? so..sorry in advance, maybe just look at this as inspiration and well..gay feelings bc i have enough of those to go around rn.
I will also tag some lovely people who actually know how to do this whole meta thing, and who knows, maybe one of you actually reads this mess and makes somethin out of it? Possibly? Idk, i dont blame you if you dont, really. @quietlyprim @loudest-subtext-in-tv @joolabee @hudders-and-hiddles @love-in-mind-palace @teapotsubtext @beejohnlocked @kinklock @marcelock @gaytectives @ormondsacker @culverton
So.. for all of you who dont know, ode to joy (originally “freude, schöner götterfunken”) is part of beethoven’s 9th symphony, it is the first ever symphony to incorporate voices, the lyrics mostly come from schillers “Ode an die Freude” and the melody itself has been the european anthem since 1972 (1985 if you insist on EU).
Ok so lets have a quick look at the lyrics(and i really mean quick, these are my notes from this morning, not exactly coherent but enough to get a general idea of my feelings about this, we’ll get into more detail later) i also put both the english and german version bc i felt at some points things got lost in translation, but honestly i dont know what to do about that so yeah, if you speak german, good for you, if not and by the end if this youre not bored to death and still have questions dont hesitate to ask i will awkwardly but gladly try to elaborate (this applies not only to lyrics btw)
O Freunde, nicht diese Töne!
Sondern laßt uns angenehmere anstimmen,
und freudenvollere.
/
Oh friends, not these sounds!
Let us instead strike up more pleasing
and more joyful ones!
(Literally lets have happier stories, also the score.. yes lets get the johnlock theme back, please)
Freude!
Freude! / Joy!
Joy!
Freude, schöner Götterfunken
Tochter aus Elysium,
Wir betreten feuertrunken,
Himmlische, dein Heiligtum!
Deine Zauber binden wieder
Was die Mode streng geteilt;
Alle Menschen werden Brüder,
Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt.
/ Joy, beautiful spark of divinity,
Daughter from Elysium,
We enter, burning with fervour, (Cant set the heart on fire if its
heavenly being, your sanctuary! already burning w/ love, yall)
Your magic brings together
what custom has sternly divided. (Gayyyy!!!!!)
All men shall become brothers, (Secret brothers, reunion…)
wherever your gentle wings hover.
(Idk, mrs hudson is an angel?)
/
Wem der große Wurf gelungen,
Eines Freundes Freund zu sein;
Wer ein holdes Weib errungen,
Mische seinen Jubel ein!
Ja, wer auch nur eine Seele
Sein nennt auf dem Erdenrund
!
Und wer’s nie gekonnt, der stehle
Weinend sich aus diesem Bund!
/
Whoever has been lucky enough. (Luckiest man in the world,
to become a friend to a friend, my only friend, … )
Whoever has found a beloved wife,
let him join our songs of praise! (Uh….how bout no?)
Yes, and anyone who can call one soul
his own on this earth! (My john…..)
Any who cannot,
let them slink away
from this gathering in tears! (Mary crying, then disappearing)
/
Freude trinken alle Wesen
An den Brüsten der Natur;
Alle Guten, alle Bösen
Folgen ihrer Rosenspur
.
Küsse gab sie uns und Reben,
Einen Freund, geprüft im Tod;*
(Like.. sherlock died and
came back for john what more proof??)
Wollust ward dem Wurm gegeben,
Und der Cherub steht vor Gott.
Every creature drinks in joy
at nature’s breast;
Good and Bad alike
follow her trail of roses. (Good and bad, rosie, hmmmm)
She gives us kisses and wine,
a true friend, even in death; (Or only in death?hey mary)
Even the worm was given desire, (Mycroft? Nah,probs moriarty)
and the cherub stands before God. (Sherlock, my lil cherub)
/
Froh, wie seine Sonnen fliegen
Durch des Himmels prächt'gen Plan,
(Plans…ominous)
Laufet, Brüder, eure Bahn,
Freudig, wie ein Held zum Siegen.
Gladly, just as His suns hurtle
through the glorious universe,
So you, brothers, should run your course, (the way it was always
joyfully, like a conquering hero. meant to be…..)
/
Seid umschlungen, Millionen!
Diesen Kuß der ganzen Welt!
Brüder, über’m Sternenzelt
Muß ein lieber Vater wohnen.
Ihr stürzt nieder, Millionen?
Ahnest du den Schöpfer, Welt?
Such’ ihn über’m Sternenzelt!
Über Sternen muß er wohnen.
/
Be embraced, you millions!
This kiss is for the whole world! (,!!???? Like???????Yes pls)
Brothers, above the canopy of stars
must dwell a loving father. (Or two? Hey dads)
Do you bow down before Him, you millions?
Do you sense your Creator, o world?
Seek Him above the canopy of stars!
He must dwell beyond the stars.
Well that was……….. kinda gay. Yeah yeah i know its just a queer reading no i dont believe it was intended to be gay by either beethoven or schiller (or was it?? Irdk) but. in the context of the show. which is rather what were looking at. Pretty damn gay, right?
Ok lets have a look at my absolute favourite lines first:
Your magic brings together/what custom has sternly divided.
Well… i think we can all agree that society has, quite sternly indeed, divided holmes and watson, romantically. Homosexuality just simply wasnt a custom, or at least very frowned upon, mildly speaking. It is rather magical to watch this wrong being righted though, i should think. More specifically in bbc sherlock, the divide has come through a custom of not speaking to each other, and guess what?? Yeah hudders is friggin done with that bs these two are talking now!
And then…
Be embraced, you millions!/This kiss is for the whole world!
*shrieking* do i? Do i really need to talk about this? I think not. This just…. yeah. I mean really….. I would like to add at this point that, at least to my ears, embraced sounds like a rather tame option of translation. “Umschlungen”, to me personally conveys a certain vigour, almost as if the embrace might… idk.. come as a surprise to some extend? Take the air from some peoples lungs? Yeah dunno what that could be about……
If you still need more i guess i could just blubber some more about it all but tbh what is structure? so yeah, here we go, feel free to leave anytime i mean its already pretty gay and hurts my heart i wont blame you if you think
•WE ARE NOW ENTERING THE REALM OF JOY… yep thats happening things are getting happy, please, god, let them actually. And this joy that we will feel when John and Sherlock ( finally) get together will mend all the wrong thats been done to those two, and us Holmes fans, during all these years of being kept apart by society and norms and customs, homophobia and heteronormativity. Were entering a sanctuary, we are literally save here!
•General message of schiller’s ode to joy is literally that HUMAN CONNECTIONS ARE THE CROWN OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE like wow yes thank you it is as if human connections were the stuff that…completes you as a human being. Say what?
•Not only is this true for johnlock but also for our entire community, were bound together by the joy of this show, our joy will mend what heteronormativty destroyed, the joy of their kiss will unite us, we will embrace it and the joyfull gayness will embrace us!
•The fact that its literally such a groundbreaking piece of music. There have been symphonies over and over but this is new, this is different, he incorporated voices. Groundbreaking, earthshattering… u get it. Seriously if anyone who has even a slither of a clue about music wants to educate me on what the inclusion of voices could stand for please im begging enlighten me my brains too fried im already struggling to get this done(as you might be able to tell. I am so sorry)
And now, onto some more shit i stumbled upon in the original poem that, sadly, didnt make it into the song but:
•Have patience for a better world to come, god(mofftiss) is good and will give you what you deserve
•Forget hatred and revenge, forgive your (arch)enemy who shall not have to cry or be rueful (ahem mary. Also possibly mycroft to some extent who knows whats gonna happen)
•Bravery even in agony, help where innocence is weeping (hi john)
•Something about oaths and telling the truth to your friends as well as enemies and how lies will bring everything down……
•Narrowing the circle, making oaths with wine and staying faithful(keep believing!!)
•Salvation from tyranns, hope to the dying, mercy in council, forgiving of sins and ENDING HELL well ok then yes to all!
No honestly theres a lot and im horrifically underqualified and have a headache so i’ll stop now. If you actually read this whole mess of a thing.. thank you. Bless your soul. I’ll make you an origami elephant or something

ABOUT 7 PLAYLISTS ON SPOTIFY
Since September I´ve been trying to create an original playlists on Spotify with music that I like and I wanna share with you guys. In this post I just wanna link them, in case you wanna find them, listen to them or at least maybe find some new unknown artists to you :) Enjoy them anywhere you go, if you´re on board, commute to work or school, even when you are at home.

SUSANE LISTENS VOL.1
Banfi - Mercy Street
The Kooks - Naive
The Wombats - Let´s Dance To Joy Division
Lake Malawi - Paris
Arctic Monkeys - Four Out of Five
Cage the Elephant - Cigarette Daydreams
Coasts - You
Lake Malawi - Maryland
This playlist is one of my favourites, I found Banfi on concert in Prague, actually it was concert of Lake Malawi releasing their album Surrounded by Light. The Kooks are one of my fav band ever, so Arctic Monkeys are. Cigarette Daydreams by Cage the Elephants reflects amazingly my after break up period in my life two years ago. Coasts - the british band, I discovered thanks to my friend at concert in Prague last year. Wombats just perfectly combines all of that together. and Paris and Maryland by Lake Malawi - Czech pop-indie-rock band is kind of signature songs from time, when I was alone in Prague, long-distance relationship and long walks around Prague with my thoughts. You can vote for Lake Malawi in Eurovision until 21st January. Download the app to your phone, vote for Lake Malawi here.
Můj první a jeden z mých nejoblíbenějších playlistů. The Kooks jsou moje nejoblíbenější kapela, to samé Arctic Monkeys - takže tyhle dvě kapely v mých playlistech nemůžou chybět.
SUSANE LISTENS VOL.2
Plini - Electric Sunrise
Bon Iver - Holocene
Alex Turner - Glass in the Park
Radiohead - Daydreaming
Jeff Beck - Unforgiven
Olafur Arnalds, Nanna Bryndis Hilmadotir - Particles
Olafur Arnalds - study for player piano
Mogwai - Take me somewhere nice
Gavin Luke - The Gift
Laraaji - Introspection
Aaron Lansing - Faded Dreams
Hans Zimmer - Time
James Horner - The bioluminescence of the night
Nicolas Hooper - Harry & Hermione
This one was meant to be for listening to fall asleep - for me perfect. However, the first song might be a little bit distracting :) Third song by Alex Turner and his Glass in the Park, originally made for the Submarine movie - aww his voice, his lyrics, the music, so calming so sweet…it just caresses my soul. The rest of the songs will take you to your Dreamland very quickly. Calm and relaxing music, nice slow voices joining the whole atmosphere and inviting to fall asleep or just balance your mind and think about something nice. My fav is Particles, Avatar Music and the song from Harry Potter - looove how smooth and touching this music is.
Třetí píseň od Alexe Turnera a jeho Glass in the Park, pocházející ze soundtracku k filmu The Submarine. Jeho hlas, texty a hudba vás pohladí. Zbytek písniček vás zaručeně vezmou do říše snů.
SUSANE LISTENS VOL.3
Alabama Shakes - Gimme All Your Love
London Grammar - Hey Now
Cold Beat - 62 Moons
Daughter - Youth
Banfi - If not for you
Lake Malawi - Not My Street
Phoenix - Too Young
Florence + The Machines - Delilah
Tycho - See
Coldplay - Midnight
Alabama Shakes - Sound & Color
The Veils - Swimming with the Crocodiles
Awww each song is so nicely done. Great background music for each situation - if you are home cooking, you´ve got friends at your place, going shopping or just walking somewhere…I kind of like this playlist for anything. Alabama Shakes is American band with distinctive and soulful rock, and voice of the lead singer is something magical. Second song by London Grammar - I´ve discovered this trio because of Dior J´adore commercial and since then I looove them - very moody, but so good. Phoenix and their French indie-pop won´t let you calm :) Coldplay and their Midnight is such a masterpiece for thinking or creating, and last song by The Veils - Swimming in the Crocodiles is just right full stop for this music session.

Muzika hrála v našem bytě neustále a my pořád zpívali, tančili a prostě byli šťastní.

Mockrát děkuji všem, kdo poslali song a můžeme si to určitě někdy zopakovat. Byla zábava si všechno poslechnout a vybírat. Mezi moje nejoblíbenější patří Alan Gogol - Chime - tu jsem neznala, velice krásná instrumentální kytarová hudba, Sia - Big girls cry, BEP - BIG LOVE, Pink Floyd - Echoes a mnoho dalších. Moje nejoblíbenější skladbu najdete na úplném konci playlistu :)

Angus & Julia Stone - Stay With Me
Last but definitely not least playlist ♥ Have a look - full of amazing artists♥ It´s focused on more like an acoustic performance. Each song has deep lyrics and great mood. We discovered Blushes - the band with synthetizer is only exception with electric quitars , amazing band we saw in Jimmy´s Club MCR. Joe McAdam - busker from Christmas markets and his calming voice is amazing for the soul. After this song you´ve got a chance to listen to his girlfriend Ellysse - very talented and beautiful aswell…check them on SPOTIFY :) ♥ Stu Larsen is our all-time fav mate, traveler, photographer, musician - if you don´t know his music…hurry up and listen to his lyrics and amazing guitar game. Eddie Vedder composed this music for soundtrack for INTO THE WILD movie…both as movie so as soundtrack is one of my fav music. Ryan Adams has re-made Wonderwall originally by Oasis into something different, but soo pleasing :) Roo Panes is a band with very charismatic leading singer - ladies :) but his voice is as charming as his appearance :)
Máme tu poslední playlist, plný skvělých umělců, kteří si zaslouží trochu lásky ♥ Tady jsem se více soustředila na výběr spíše akustické hudby. Každý song má krásný text a uvede vás do skvělého rozpoložení. Blushes jsme objevili s Honzou tady v MCR v Jimmy´s klubu.
And finally we´re at the end of today´s article :)
Let me know which one do you like the most and let me know if you want me to continue in creating these playlists for you guys, It was fun and it´s quite cool to do it.
Susane
