3, 8 - Thousand Five, 12

Answering this one in reverse order so I can put the last one under a cut for politeness' sake lmao

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?

Hm I don't know if I'd call it far out I think I'm rather tame when it comes to AUs thus far...my instinct is to say the Glamour and Gold universe since it goes all high fantasy with guilds and quests and Robert being turned into a literal kitsune with Saint Seiya-esque rules on people seeing his true form (kill/kill the memories of or marry) that I still have to hash out. There was some vague mystery surrounding Kevin Stewart's death that Falcon and Rob were gonna eventually sleuth out but really I just created this AU to indulge my love of fantasy/RPG elements and because I love literal fluffy fox Stewart being married to Falcon lmao. McCloud is of course also a kitsune.

The Don't Fear the Reaper verse with Shinigami Jack is maybe...? far out because it's a drastic departure from his canon status in the anime and explores what he would've been like if he'd never left the street thug life...except I never wrote it and probably never will. The tome-spanning epic of Ryu extremely slowly working his way into Jack's heart with his stubborn rashness and earnest sincerity and the slowburning enemies to lovers arc between them will remain a mere imagination 😔✌

8. How did you come up with the title to Thousand Five?

A long time ago when I still actually had the mental fortitude to look on FFN for fics and FFN hadn't done the great M-rated yeetening, I came across an explicit Falcon/Snake fic where Snake was on Falcon's lap in the Blue Falcon and Falcon was toying with him if you know what I mean. Snake was sitting on something alright. And the Blue Falcon was going around and around the practice laps with Falcon periodically reciting the speed at which they were going because one or both of them got off on the danger of it. Or perhaps the thrill in leaving them both in Falcon's hands as he does one of the things he loves the most alongside [redacted] with Snake.

I cannot find that fic anymore so I believe it has been a victim of the purges (tm) but as much as I could not stop going "blease guys you are gonna kill yourselves" the calm way Falcon kept reciting the numbers stuck with me. I don't know if he actually said "thousand five" as one of the speeds. I'm half-sure he said thousand something at least because that's just how insanely fast these machines go. But I picked Thousand Five because it sounded cool and fast and large but with the possibility of growing larger, influenced by the vague memory of this fic. It just happened to be a happy accident that, just as this verse is my "main" verse for Falcon/Stewart, "A Thousand Fiery Stars" is my "main" verse for anime Falcon/Stewart with both having thousand in the name.

3. NoTP?

I anxiety ramble too much under the cut: extended edition

Let me preface this with the usual disclaimer that these are only my personal preferences, I'm not meaning to be an elitist or a gatekeeper or a hater, I think everyone should be free and ship whatever makes you happy forever, etc. (I know it may be obvious but like. I'm unreasonably anxious about answering this one publicly which is why it took me so long to answer lol)

Now. Falcon (both mainverse and anime) are the most popular characters in the series and as such have the most variety in ships. Or at least main Falcon does. Unfortunately for me I am the MOST picky for the Falcons specifically about what ships I like/dislike seeing him in even if it seems like I toss them in randomass ships all the time LMAO. For game Falcon I'm a bit more relaxed about it because his characterization is a bit more open and shifts more in my head depending on the circumstances, but with Andy I am extremely picky about characterization and relationship dynamics in my head because I've grown so attached to my own interpretation of his identity, motivations, and romantic orientation/sexuality. I love game Falcon but I became attached to animeverse and Andy first, so he is my special darling baby boy (as he is to many people).

In terms of either Falcon, I don't like Falcon/Olimar (sorry falimar pals). I just dislike the way Falcon is portrayed in their meeting scene in Subspace and I'm not too into Smash ships for Falcon in general. Mainverse Falcon/women in general I'm also not very into unless it's FalSam or like, we are transing Stewart's gender up in here because Falcon/Stewart is my OTP regardless of their genders lmao.

For Andy...I have the same thing about only really shipping him with men unless it's like. Transing Robert's gender again. I wouldn't say Falcon/Stewart is my ONLY ship for both game/anime versions of them but it is certainly my main ship for both. The ship I fall back to as "default" when I'm not entertaining the thought exercise of another ship for either Falcon or either Stewart. I have a lot of thoughts about Andy's relationship with romance and sexuality and I can see him being demi or aroace. Or poly because his heart is too big to love and devote himself to just one person. The whole multiple identities thing really adds a layer of danger, separation, showing facets of himself and I feel like there are few people he lets close enough to see his whole, vulnerable self beneath.

Coupled with the demi hc, I really prefer shipping him with characters he is already shown to work with and be close to, because I feel that he would never willingly start a romance with someone not already involved in his work as Falcon because of his sense of duty, the danger, or simply because he's just not interested in that sort of thing, and would kindly but firmly rebuff any advances. He kept his own sister out of the loop so she wouldn't be exposed to the danger of being connected to Falcon for crying out loud (kicks him). But if the person is already involved in his line of work and already had an established bond in the show with him, well...free real estate. So basically. Rob, Roy, Ryu (why do all these characters' names start with R??) are fair game for shipping with him in my mind.

I know I started out my F-Zero fic career with Bart/Ryu because of someone else's influence and it still holds a special place in my heart but in general I also prefer shipping Andy with people older than him (Rob, Roy?? we don't know Andy's age really besides "nice middle" lmao). I know this all sounds like me making up reasons why Andy/Rob is the OTP of all time and I swear it isn't JUST that. I like thinking about Andy getting taken care of. I like thinking about a man who is constantly caring for and protecting others getting to rest and be taken care of for a little while. I like the idea of him being able to lean on a presence he's known and trusted for so long that he knows they're a steady anchor who won't begrudge him for not being the perfect paragon. I know this doesn't necessarily have to be someone older but it just adds to the whole dynamic I feel.

All this was a very longwinded way of saying I'm very controlling when it comes to Andy ships in particular which I know directly contradicts what I said about his heart being big enough to love many LMAO sorry Andy 😔 It took me a long time to even think of him as...someone shippable to begin with so I like having full control over the interpretation and chewing on how it would work out a lot when I think about him in romantic relationships. He's a very special character to me (despite my blog being plastered with Stewart) and many others so—again—reiterating that these are only my personal preferences with no bearing on my wish for others do as they please with him and think of this fictional man in whatever scenarios bring you joy.

So episode 5 of resident evil changed the game completely. The entire episode was fantastic, we got some clever puzzles and secret compartments/rooms that are quintessential resident evil. We got massive callbacks to the original material. Basically everything I didn’t realise I’d need from this series. This makes me wish there wasn’t the time jump storyline because it’s already a strong enough story on its own without complicating things. I’m obsessed with the actress playing older Jade but other than that I’m not feeling that part of the series that much. Also got a bit repetitive already with being captured, escaping, captured again, escaping again. The writing is significantly weaker so I wish they’d cut that altogether. The past is what I’m more interested in, and I think it’s a perfect storyline for old and new fans to enjoy. We get the callbacks but you don’t really need to have played the games to follow along.

the specter ~ chapter 7

a/n: Ok, I know the gif below is walter marshall BUT it’s kinda how I picture august to look at this point in the story, hair and beard wise, but with the obvious injuries that resulted from the end of the Mission Impossible movie. 

“(y/n/n), my dearest angel,

What a fool I have been to doubt you. After everything that I have been through this past year, I’ve dreamt only of you, of returning to your embrace and if you’ll still have me. I’m ready. Will you meet me in the clearing, the one by the small spring that runs behind your house, in three days’ time?

-          Your specter”

August enjoys his sandwich, savors the preparation of your hands. The offering of your love and time and he feels himself fill with joy as his belly fills with the delicious offerings of your picnic basket. Then he carefully folds his reply and rushes along his well beaten path, racing the dawn as he goes and fixes his letter to the line before hurrying back through the trees into the safety of the forest. August spent the rest of the night, and most of the day, dreaming of his angel.

As the dusk settled in, August prepared once more for his trek to your house. Once the moon is high in the sky, the stars twinkling in the inky abyss he heads towards your place. He allows his eyes to adjust to the moonlight as he stares ahead of him, looking forward to finding your next letter. Crouching in his spot, ice fills is heart when he sees no letter and no car in the drive. Panic licks his spine as his tugs his jacket tighter to him and pulls his beanie down over the nest of curls that tickle his brow and he settles in to wait. Dawn comes with no movement, his gut slowly filling with lead as your small cabin doesn’t slowly unfurl with life as it normally does with the sun. There is no music drifting from your window, no laundry on the line, no life in sight. Your parking spit remains empty and August fears that perhaps he’d scared you away.

He returns home, slightly defeated. For the next two days, he returns and finds your cottage still and dark, on the second night he slinks across the yard and jimmies the back door open, slipping inside to look for clues.  

Your cottage hasn’t changed in the slightest, as he walks through the back door and into your kitchen, he looks around and smiles at the rush of memories that wash over him. In his mind’s eye, he can see you standing at the stove, shaking your hips as your Elton John record plays in the corner, August sees his favorite mug sitting on the sideboard, your lip gloss smeared around the rim and he can’t help but smile to himself. Continuing through the cottage, moves to your small office and sits down at your desk. He lets his eyes drift over your calendar and stops when they land on your stationary. His letter is opened next to your pink paper and your pen. You’ve stopped at your greeting and his heart sinks for moment before he notices the small pad of paper on that has a jagged edge on it. He runs his fingers over the torn edge before ruffling through your top drawer to find a pencil. Scribbling over the exposed piece of paper, he’s able to make out your sister’s name and flight details, flipping through your calendar he sees that you’ve marked your sisters visit, noting the change in flight information.

Riffling through the loose papers, he finds a printed out booking confirmation for a hotel in city. He pushes a sigh of relief through his chapped lips as he realizes that you are staying with your sister for a few days. Removing the signs of his sleuthing, he puts everything back in order before standing up and moving back into the hall, as he passes the bedroom, he pauses. He steps inside to and looks around the room that he’d once shared with you. His side of the bed remains untouched down to the book that he’d left, half-read, on the nightstand. How did I ever doubt her love, her loyalty? He thinks to himself as his fall on his button down that is draped over the chair of your vanity with your robe. It’s wrinkled and he knows that if he lifted it up, it would smell of you and the thought that you’d been sleeping in his clothes warms him to his very core. Moving back through the house, he makes to leave and locks the door behind him.

The days of your absence drag by like molasses on a cold winter’s day. August spends his days cutting wood to warm his cabin at night and exploring the woods, further into the mountain. The day before your impending return he gathers the last of the food you sent him and travels deeper than he’s been into the mountains. The air is crisp and the sound of the birds chirping fills treetops. Spring has embraced the mountains fully and August pauses to suck in deep lungful’s of the fresh, woody air. As he continues along his way the sound of running water catches his attention. Following it through a thicket, it grows louder until the path pushes open to a small pond with a little babbling waterfall courtesy of stubborn block of winter snow that coats the massive, overhanging rocks. August smiles as he drops his pack and looks around, listening for signs of any other outdoorsmen before he strips off and wades into the shallow pool. The water is cold but refreshing after weeks of wiping down with stored rainwater and melted snow. He moves to duck until the trickling waterfall, taking a moment to scrub at his scalp carefully. The cool water runs down his scarred face, the coolness soothing on the tender skin.

              He takes his time, enjoy the cool water and traces his hands over the scarring that drifts down his neck and dips across the top of his shoulder. August had never been one to be self-conscious about his body until the incident. The feeling of puckered skin under his fingertips, makes his stomach curl and quickly he steps out of the pond. He uses his t-shirt to dry off before pulling his clothes back on quickly and continues his adventure through the woods.

              August is the good kind of tired when he returns, and it feels amazing to fall into his small bed. That night, sleep welcomes him with open arms and his body sinks into the thin mattress. His sleep is dreamless and when he finally wakes up to the sunshine streaming into in the small window, he feels refreshed and smiles when he remembers you return today. He has a little pep in his step as he goes about his day, awaiting your return.

By the afternoon, he’s unable to wait any longer so he heads to his spot and lays on his belly to watch for your return. His eyes grow tired as the dusk approaches and the sun begins to sink behind the mountain. Finally, he hears your car coming up the drive and his heart begins to pound in his chest. You park, popping the trunk to pull out your weekend bag and then head inside. He watches with bated breath as your house begins to spring to life, August remains desperate to catch another glimpse of you.

Soon enough, you open the front door and scurry out to the line, with another letter in your hand. You quickly fasten it to the line and scan the tree line, wondering if your lover is out there momentarily before you turn to head back inside.

August waits for the light in your kitchen to go out before he emerges to snag the letter and returns to the cabin with giddiness bubbling in his chest. He barely inside, before he’s opening it up and falling into his chair to read your lilting script.

              “My specter,

You are not a fool, you have never been a fool. I have missed you so much, you’ve haunted my dreams. Each and every room of this cottage, but I wonder if you are really who you say you are. Tell me, my specter, how do I know that you are my Auggie? I’ll meet you by the spring but only once I can be sure that you are my dear August.

August sucks in a deep breath. A rumble of thunder rolls across the sky and with it comes the patter of rain, August looks towards the corner of his shabby room and spies the roof beginning to leak, turning back your letter before him, he pulls out a blank piece of paper, picks up his pen and taps his pen against his chin before he begins to write.

“My Angel,

              Where do I begin? There are so many little things about you that I hold precious. Should I start with that little birthmark next to belly button and how I used to kiss it on my way down to your core. OR shoulder I talk about the soothing scent of your lavender shampoo and how it fills my nose when I’d take you into my arms. Then there is how your nose scrunches up and you scream sing Benny and the Jets at the top of your lungs as you perform for me in the kitchen. Or the way that you look when you give your pleasure to me, the way your head drops back and your expose your neck to me as you make those precious little noises that I adore. I think the thing that amazes me the most is how you trust me, to bring you to the edge again and again, to protect you, to love you. How you put your heart and soul in my hands without hesitation. My sweet angel, how would anyone else know and cherish these things about you like I do?

              I look forward to seeing you soon, my darling girl.

August rereads his letter once before folding it up and tucking it into his jacket, pulling on his boots. He tugs his hood up and cinches it tightly around his face, trudges through the woods. Double checking that coast is clear, he crosses your yard and under the cover of the front door, tucking the letter into the seam of it so that it remains dry and heads back into the darkness of the forest once more.

i felt like making this post bc too many people are doubting varchie and bughead.

sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes

i’ll start with varchie bc they’re my babies, but i just wanna ask you guys to believe in our ship. who was there for archie when fred was shot? veronica. who was there for archie when fred died? veronica. who was there when veronica was spiralling in season 4? archie. who was there in season 1 when veronica was terrified of her own father? archie. i could go into so much more detail but i think that’s all i have to say on that. every time archie has had something bad happen, he never went to betty, instead, the majority of the time, he went to veronica. it’s the same as this season. archie needed help, so he went to veronica, even tho he and betty were doing what they were doing, and it’s the same for betty. where was archie when she was searching for her presumed dead sister? they’re friends yes, but they don’t care about each other’s problems and i really don’t understand how that makes them endgame. people are saying that archie was ooc this episode bc he told both v & b the truth. THIS IS ARCHIE! in season 2, archie told the truth, in season 4 he didn’t, and in season 5, he did. that makes season 4 the season that archie was ooc. even when he was going through the shit he was going through from 4.18 onwards, he still didn’t tell betty about it. archie and betty barely have a friendship, so why would they want to be something more? 5.08 showed that archie would rather be miserable and pining for veronica, than to be with betty (knowing he could never feel what he feels for veronica, with betty) i truly don’t understand how they could turn this around to ba. when archie broke things off with betty, (or when they mutually did so) he didn’t know that veronica was coming to tell him about chad, so that boy was going to be alone and wait for veronica. there’s no epic love story, there’s no slowburn. riverdale doesn’t do slowburn. ba are barely friends and y’all need to remember that. archie pined for VERONICA for 7 years, not betty.

now onto bughead. i don’t have as much to say bc i covered a lot of it in the varchie section, but I can say that jughead is going through a really hard time. obviously, we don’t know exactly what that is yet, and i’m hoping we’re going to find out about everybody’s trauma, but betty and jughead will always been drawn together and there’s no way betty will find out about what jughead is going through, and not want to help him. whether that’s emotional support or even just sleuthing together. we can already see that the writers are beginning to build them up, and the first step to that was to remove ba from the situation, and that has happened. do i think tabitha will be an obstacle? no. because if they wanted to do it, they would have by now. again, riverdale doesn’t do slowburn. now remember, ba was always a threat to jughead, and that’s why he took the news of their cheating harder than veronica did. bh didn’t end on good terms like va did, and i think that’s why it’s harder for them to rebuild what they had, but they will. we just have to be patient and remember that if the writers wanted ba to be endgame, they wouldn’t have done it way sooner than season 5, and during the four episodes that ba were fucking, it would have become more.

please try not to worry and just enjoy watching the bugvarchie endgames 😌

2021 Housekeeping

Hey guys. Sorry for this blog being like, dead for all of December. A lot of holiday stuff happened and I just got sidetracked with all of that. That aside, I figured since this is the start of a new year I should go over some of the stuff I did throughout 2020. This is strictly dealing with things that I personally did for this blog. I want to keep this a safe-space and not deal with the crap that went on this year, for both you guys and me.

Dafuking Films:

For a first attempt I think this went pretty well. 32/52 isn’t that bad, given how I have a real bad habit of just dropping things and never returning to them. Plus with the actual quarantine going on, watching a bunch of different movies people suggested to me was a lot of fun. Some were fantastic and enjoyable. Some people just really wanted me to suffer. But still, good times were had by all. I still have the list of movies that people suggested to me from last year, so I’m still gonna try to go through them all. Maybe twice a month instead of weekly so I won’t burn myself out like before. Regardless, I had fun, so I’m going to continue this.

Just to get this out of the way. Website was a valiant attempt. Didn’t really give a shit nor cared about the uptake. I Tried. I got tired updating it. If I was going to use it 100% then I would just move from Tumblr to There, which I won’t since all of my good shit is here. So I’m gonna move on.

Newvember:

This was a great idea. I had so much fun doing Newvember. No worries, no commitment. Just reading random shit with no pressure to maybe add them to my already overflowing list of blogs. It also helped me figure out what works and what doesn’t in terms of blogging.

Comic strips comics don’t really work well for me. I mean, the only good things to blog is just the last 2 panels, so I’m sort of only blogging the punchline which ruins the joke if people want to read it themselves. So stuff like Dominic Deegan and Sluggy Freelance probably won’t fly unless they somehow turn into page-format in the future.

Novels and Webnovels are flipping hard for me to figure out on just the logistics on how to blog. Do I give like a page summary on what I read like with The Wandering Inn? Or just do screenshots of the lines to react to like with Detective Pony and A Practical Guide To Evil? I am still working that out so I might not do much written stuff until I find a groove I like.

Interactive Comics get a toss up. I think Homestuck sort of spoiled me a bit here. I’m so used to how Homestuck works that I’m instinctively comparing other interactive comics to it even though I very read an Interactive comic while it was actually interactive. Stuff like Ruby and Awful Hospital unfortunately already has a high bar to jump over just because I like/used to the Homestuck format.

For the liveblogs themselves now that I have time away from them:Dark Science got a cool Cyberpunk vibe to it with a mix of magic-maybe. So it would be cool to read, but probably won’t continue it until the longer blogs like Girl Genius and Order of the Stick get caught up/finished first. Poppy O’Possum is just cute and honestly refreshing to have the main character be a hard-working mom. How to Be a Werewolf is a slowburn of how werewolves work, which I am always a sucker for how lore works. But I don’t really remember too much else from it so I might not revisit it given how I’m not too invested in it. Granted the same can be said for the prologue of Girl Genius and we saw how THAT went. Dominic Deegan is 90s fantasy slice of life, but with like some way old comedy jokes that I can just hear the ba-dum-tsst every punchline. So, yeah that one’s gonna drop. Practical Guide to Evil is a really cool read and I always like fantasy rpg style settings. I like the idea of Titles giving power and having the protagonists be the necessary evil. But again, I have to figure out how to webnovels. Awful Hospital has interesting art, but it isn’t really clicking with me too much so I’m probably gonna drop it. Sluggy Freelance is just wild. Part of it is the random plot things like having asshole rabbits and sci-fi references. Other part is me just saying random shit like how Dirk Strider is living his offshoot life in this comic. Fun read, but I don’t think the strip comics are good liveblog stuff. So will probably drop.  A Better Place ABSOLUTELY Slaps. I was down with that since the first comic. Will 100% continue with that (when I get enough space). Blindsprings has an interesting 1800s steampunk magic vibe and I do like the theme of idealization vs reality. Check Please is cute. I’m A Spider is a fun isakai with a cool twist of being reborn as a monster. Not Drunk Enough is just terrifying. Both with the horror and alcohol poisoning.

Basically: A Better Place will definitely be revisited. Poppy, Check Please, Blindsprings, and I’m a Spider will probably be revisited for just short quick sessions. Not Drunk Enough and Dark Science might come back if/when I am finished with longer series.

Either way, I like doing Newvember. So I am going to initiate Ju-New-ne to be the next New-Blog month. So this WILL happen again.

Yeah I believe my time of doing daily blogging sessions is over. It worked well for 2019, but that time is basically over. I probably will try to go for twice a week if I can. It sounds fair enough for content.

Homestuck:

So early 2020 is the time, where after 2 full years I finished reading Homestuck. It was, honestly, a wild ride and wild time. My literal presence on this blog was shaped because of Homestuck from the asks to videos to discord. It was just, good. Nice. Like looking back through a memory book with warm feelings. Having it end the way it did was good, especially with when it ended. I might make posts on how I view the characters overall, maybe make a Final Epilogue Troll Rank/Fav Rank. I will work on that.

And from that, I think that a year is probably long enough for me to revisit Homestuck again. Pesterquest, Epilogue, HS’2, whatever is the next sequel. Hell maybe Problem Sleuth and see what the hell all those references were about. The goal is to be caught up in a bunch of other comics first. Like, gonna gun for 3-5. Once I get caught up (or close to it) then I will return into Hussie’s orange arms once again.

Anyway, that’s a surprise for anyone who actually bothers to read to the end of this. Happy New Year everyone.

Oooh. Favorite genre to read... I’m a bookworm, probably not surprising. I used to be a snob and only read classic literature and fantasy when I was younger. then I embraced that I love thrillers/mysteries, and in the past couple of years I’ve started reading a lot more general literature. I also read tons of non-fiction. So really my reading preferences are ALL over the place. I don’t read as much YA anymore but I’ve really enjoyed a lot of it. I definitely go through phases where I’ll read a lot of dystopian, or a lot of Regency romance, or a lot of non-fiction, or a lot of fantasy.

Some of my the books I can think of that I’ve loved the most:

But in response to your proposal, that is one hell of a detective agency, and Liv could totally pull a Veronica Mars and do some sleuthing of her own. (In fact I’d love nothing more than for our ace detective — pun included — to solve a crime and save some other teen in trouble.) Also it plays to everyone’s strengths in that Priya would be great at interrogating people, Robert has a ton of contacts, and of course Liv has street smarts, gumption, and the fact that she’s Aaron’s sister. Maybe she also used her inheritance to buy herself a stake and that is how Robert meets Aaron. Or, he just naturally has to take her on as an “intern” but quickly realises she’s more than capable and very underestimated and they then use that in her favour. (Aaron allows this because he knows that Robert would die rather than allow her to get hurt.)

Though in terms of actual canon, you know that Robert Jacob Sugden-Dingle:

wants to throw a murder mystery dinner party.

has bought a Holmes costume for said party.

has convinced Aaron to dress up as Watson (but really it’s an excuse to see Aaron in a suit).

Aaron knows this and has agreed.

Liv has joined him with the planning. She quite likes it and gets to pick her own costume.

Faith and Eric both commit to their roles. As does Doug.

Ellis, Vic, and Matty all came and had a simmering slowburn love triangle with Vic’s character literally being torn between two men.

Robert secretly wrote the script for this whole night. He’s added in a whole subplot about romancing Aaron.

Nicola plans on using these roles for her and Jimmy later. She knows what props they’re going to use.

Sam checked it he could bring Spamela. Robert never answered because he thought it was obvious. Sam figured he didn’t say no, so this is a yes. Now there’s a pig running around underfoot.

Rishi is sad because he wanted to bring Tip. But Manpreet takes his mind off it with her outfit. She’s also a good detective and Robert and her bond.

Liv is delighted that Spamela is there.

Seb is sleeping upstairs the whole time. He does not have time for such nonsense.

Bernice tries her best to help a very intense Liam, who not only wore his own personal Holmes costume, but is full on in character as he competes with Robert to solve this first.

Marlon has nothing to critique food-wise though he tries very hard. Aaron answers none of his questions because he does not know or care and is just trying to stop Robert from killing Liam.

Cain and Moira drink a lot and leave early. Cain shrugs his answers and Moira tries to help interpret them.

Jimmy is the culprit and has forgotten. He just came for the food, because he knew Robert was cooking. Everyone tries to figure out the murderer for ages before giving up.

Aaron prevents two murders that night. Robert goes to bed swearing about Jimmy.

Liam and Robert become reluctant frenemies.

MAYBE if there was actual romantic buildup to the kiss, & then after they had some angsty conversation about how they ~can't do this~ because they ~don't want to hurt jughead and ronnie~ & then betty sadly watched as archie and ronnie got back together i could POSSIBLY see how a slowburn is happening. but she awkwardly kissed him for 3 seconds with no buildup and then they went right back to sleuthing & never discussed it again. and A gave V a necklace saying "a+v forever" AFTER. how romantic.

Like am I so biased that I missed the build up? I’m genuinely wondering if they are actually seeing something that is there that we aren’t seeing. 

Were we suppose to see romantic build up there? Because … I saw none. It was awkward af. I will say after she kissed him first, it somewhat became mutual (but you could make that argument for the archie + cheryl kiss from 1.09), but Betty legit looked mortified that she did that and Archie pulled back super quick once the kiss was over. And his ‘…Betty’ wasn’t this “omg, I have feelings for you!” as they seem to interpreted it. Like, it legit sounded exactly like the pilot: Archie confused af and weirded out.
