(An MLP FIM Alternate Universe Fanfiction)

SUMMARY:

"Isn't it fascinating how even the smallest decisions can effect a ponies' life?

When one small pegasus doesn't win a race, the lives and destiny's of so many other ponies are effected.

One, singular act, and yet an entire world is seemingly turned upside down.

How many other paths have been changed? How many familiar faces have become new?"

The time of Nightmare Moon's return draws ever closer, and Celestia knows it's only a matter of time before she'll have to confront her sister again. After loosing touch with the elements, and the many years spent apart weighing on her, Celestia isn't entirely sure she can handle Nightmare Moon's return on her own. So, with the help of her most trusted student: Sunset Shimmer, and her adopted daughter: Cadence, Celestia is determined to bring up a new generation of magical scholars and warriors. Hoping to be her best bet against Nightmare Moon's return.

Many things are different in this world, and many lives have changed from one incident not happening the way it did in other worlds. Despite that set-back, ponies lives continue and flourish, and change in un-expected ways.

The remaining cards for "Shimmering Skies" were revealed over on the official Lorcana Discord server, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that another DuckTales (2017) card was part of this batch! This time, it's our third Scrooge card for the game! What definitely caught my eye was the artwork; the way he was drawn reminds me a bit of koizumi-marichan's art!

I love himb. Also not even that bad a card. I'm assuming we'll see a new shift target in this set, but even with what we've got so far, we have:

This guy, who's actually pretty dope, I run him in my Ruby/Steel challenges deck. Drop him turn 5, then shift Party Crasher turn 6, you have two ink left over, you have a massive high-lore Evasive, and all your fellas hit harder. Very nice.

Theos and Aurora from the book Infinite Shimmer in the app game Time Princess by IGG.

It’s a futuristic setting on an asteroid ravaged earth and a supposed last bastion of humanity in Arcadia (hello gallifrey?). A technological wonder city, Arcadia is where the last of humanity lives in relative comfort with holograms, AI and a candy floss colored veneer. You play as Aurora, a psychologist who writes books on love and humanity who gets a partnership proposition from a brilliant scientist, Theos, to test the capabilities of his reality defying AI man.

I’m living for the push and pull between these two characters. Aurora is a hopeless romantic and I think secretly so is Theos. Except he’s too roguish to be a knight in shining armor. I sure the priceless painting of Pygmalion and Galatea Aurora receives is from him.

I cannot WAIT for chapter 2!
